20 Best Cat Food Toppers (2022 Updated)

I started buying these for my kittens when we adopted them. They both love “chicken time” and know what time it usually is even! I love that there are minimal ingredients that mimic natural prey. They still have their hard food kitten chow out all day, but I try to make sure they have natural foods as well.

Their treats are all freeze dried one ingredient items. They are growing so incredibly fast, getting lean muscles, and so healthy. I will probably continue to use tiki cat compliments to give them a daily serving of real prey food.

After they eat their chicken, they go into their chicken coma naps. I swear when they wake up they’re 2 inches bigger!!.

My picky cat ate Miko food for a long time – it was the first and only food that she truly enjoyed. And then Chewy discontinued it for whatever reason. We were devastated and worried about what to do for my female monster because she literally hates food.

She’s been surviving on deli meat, treats, and her dry food. That is until she tried Tiki Cat Complements Variety Pack Grain-Free Wet Cat Food Topper. When I first gave her some of the broth, I figured she wouldn’t like it and would walk away.

After circling the dish a few hundred times, she finally settled in and actually ate the food. I was so impressed and so happy. I’m glad that there’s finally a wet food that she likes! Hoping she’ll continue to eat and enjoy the food.

Compared to the tikicat can food, this series have more soup/juice which my cat loves. I love it too because eating those helps to keep my cat hydrated. Good stuff! But I do wish the company could consider a container design that’s easier for storage once the can is opened.

My cat has a very sensitive stomach so I’m using this as a treat instead of a meal. The design of the container made it very inconvenient to store in the refrigerator since the opening is so wide that most can lids won’t fit.

TL;DR: I am ecstatic to have found this company and will be trying more of their products. A couple of crushed nuggets of their dried green tripe will entice your cat to try new foods – no need to overdo the green tripe.

Price is high, but so are future vet bills and the well being of my little buddy. I altered the water measurement to achieve the consistency of the canned wet food I was using previously. My cat took to this and three other products I ordered from Feline Natural as a test.

I also ordered the protein puffs (he loves them), the green tripe (he goes nuts) and a freeze dried treat. In the past, he disliked two other high quality, high price freeze dried foods from Stella’s and another company – and disliked their canned foods – but Feline Natural appears to be a win!! I also feed my cat raw, but he likes a variety, so I do feed him 50% canned, but have noticed the canned food from my current company is adding inulin and I have never liked their addition of sweet potatoes, carrots, etc.

I avoid all cat food with carageenan, grains or legumes – all of these things stretch out the cat’s bowel over time and are hard on the intestines. My cat does have access to the outdoors and does also eat wild mice, voles, and grass.

I will say that the serving amounts on this bag of freeze-dried food are vague, and I think they must mean daily totals. I can’t imagine feeding my cat 2 cups of this (dry amount for large cat) for a serving.

I find that around 1/2 cup dry to a little less than 1/4 cup warm water seem to smash together with a fork to make the same volume as a 3oz can of wet cat food. I will see over time. The large 11oz bag seems to contain roughly fifteen 1/2 cup dry servings, and I calculate it’s close to the price of the 3oz canned food from this company (chicken & lamb).

Ever since I fed my cat this, she started refusing to eat cheaper food (still beef frozen dry but a little bit cheaper). Even when she lost appetite during hot summer, she still meowed with excitement when I picked up this bag.

I guess she can really tell this is the best food in the market. I’m now super poor but anything for my most loved baby. A note to other parents: if you are not financially ready to fully switch to this one, use this as a topper sparingly or go half and half.

Otherwise you’d find it’s impossible to switch to anything else.

Since adding this as a light topper to my girls’ wet food, they are both polishing their bowls. Previously one in particular was leaving a lot of her wet food uneaten. My girls also have a history of digestive issues so we have to be careful with what we feed them and there’s been no issues since introducing this slowly into their diet.

Very happy with this product. *Note: they will not eat it if I try and rehydrate it in water, so right now it’s only given to them as the freeze dried topper over their wet food only.

My XL cat who loves all food obviously loves this. it is a blessing and a curse to have a cat who eats basically anything you give her, including pill pockets with meds in it. But she is XL because of it (as cat fur flies over my keyboard).

TLDR: while only 1 of my cats likes it, it’s made him feel better, he used to self medicate an upset tummy by eating hay and grass now he rarely seeks out hay and grass to eat. Rating : 8/10 I’d give this mixer a try if you’re considering it.

EXTENSIVE REVIEW –> I have 2 cats and a bunny (this is relevant). both cats have occasional issues with upset stomachs ever since i got them 2 years ago. I’ve offered this mixer to both my cats multiple times and only one of them likes and continues to eat it.

The one cat that will eat it likes it a lot, and I’ve noticed the 2 months he’s been getting these every day he no longer seeks out my bunny’s hay to eat, which he used to eat to self medicate an irritated stomach (which in turn would lead to coughing up hay).

he will still munch on a piece or two if theres an extra tasty looking piece outside my bunny’s enclosure, but he’s not reaching his hand thru the bars and trying to claw open my hay storage box. This is a huge improvement.

No more eating or coughing up hay, which leads me to believe that his stomach isn’t bothering him anymore, or at the very least as much. Rating 8/10 (one cat likes it, the other doesn’t, it’s helped sooth a chronically sensitive stomach of the one that likes it, so to me it ranks high).

my cat has had a sensitive stomach for as long as i’ve had her, so it was definitely not uncommon to see her regurgitating undigested food after eating. gross. at first, i thought i might be putting too much food in her bowl, so i cut down on that.

but then i got a little worried when i recently noticed she had lost weight. not sure how much exactly, but enough for it to be noticeable. since i didn’t have a cat carrier, i decided i would buy one, and also get her a different brand of cat food and some treats, too, and see if i can get her to put on a little weight myself.

wow, i am so happy i decided to buy these! she gets very interested when i open the package, and i have to physically hide the bag after giving her some, or else she’ll dig and paw at the bag trying to open it.

and the best thing is, she wolfs these down and doesn’t throw up at all afterwards! there’s no comparison between the way she acts about these treats, and her response with the other treats i got from blue buffalo – this kind was her favorite, hands down! i’m hopeful that maybe her skinniness was due to inferior quality food that i had been feeding her, but she’ll still be going to the vet soon, just to be safe.

i am just so happy with these treats though, the ingredients are great, they’re natural and higher-quality than the regular cat food you can buy at the big box stores. they’re not terribly expensive, though.

and she definitely prefers them over the other kind i’ve tried. will definitely buy these again!.

I switched my cat to purina pro plan wet food recently at the recommendation of my vet, and while he doesn’t dislike it I have trouble getting him to finish it. All the instinct raw mixers are a lifesaver, he’s crazy for them and will barely let me put it on before his head is in the bowl (and he’s not usually a food motivated cat).

Like other reviewers noted, he stands and waits for me to add it to his meal LOL. The consistency is really convenient to crumble over the food which is good, because otherwise he’d just pick them out and walk away.

Too soon to tell if the digestive aid is effective but he hasn’t had any constipation issues in the past few days I’ve been giving it to him (for reference I also give him pumpkin so his constipation issues are few and far between now).

Highly recommend especially if your cat is a picky eater, this might be what they’ve been waiting for.

As a devoted cat mom of 3 that loves her little ones more than anything, I’m always trying to add flavor and excitement to their diet. My little ones get the best food and undoubtedly have a diverse flavor palette.

Although my cats have no trouble scarfing down their hard food, they do have issues with vomiting. Solid Gold is advertised as a nutrient booster that improves gut health and overall immune support. I was hoping this would reduce vomiting and keep them healthy.

I like that this product has simple, easy to understand ingredients. It’s packed with protein, fats, and plasma. In my mind this is the equivalent of humans eating a handful of nuts or an avocado-packed with nutrients but high in calories.

As far as flavor goes, my cats are obsessed with this meal topper and consider it a treat. Keep in mind this topper is high in calories with 300 cal/cup and cats are supposed to have 2 tablespoons per 15 pounds a day.

Be careful not to feed your cats too much of this or they will pack on the pounds! Overall I am happy with this product for the flavor and ingredients, but I do worry about how many calories are in a serving.

I haven’t noticed a change in vomiting, but my cats certainly seem happier and beg me for this food. Please note that I did receive this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

I recently purchased this to add to my 3 cats diet, which currently consists of dry and wet food but with an aim to work towards all wet. Adding animal plasma, albeit in a dry form, seemed a good fit for their health as we gradually move towards a more natural diet.

The ingredients list is short and to the point, which is great. The pieces are easily eaten by my cats despite them being larger than their typical kibble, like a slightly wider chocolate chip. I add a Tbsp as a topper to each cats wet food and it is well received by all, even my picky older girl.

They all now go for the plasma pieces first before finishing their wet food, so I must assume the claims of being highly palatable are true. Current rating: 4 stars. The cats enjoy it, there have been no negative side effects from eating it but it’s still too early to judge if it’ll do anything long term for their health.

I’ll reassess my rating in a couple months time. Currently I’d definitely recommend it to add to your cat’s diet, as the price point vs feeding amount is good.

I found these cat food toppers intriguing. I was expecting a foul smell by the list of ingredients but they have very little odor at all and it is not bad. The disks are larger sized (equaling about 2-3 pieces of their normal food) so for our special needs kitties, I broke theirs into smaller pieces.

Out of three cats, one will scarf down these food toppers and the other two will eat around them. I could have appreciated if the benefits were elaborated on. I haven’t seen much change in the cat box after giving our cats this food topper for around 10 days.

I do believe that it may be helping with hair balls for one of our cats though. That in itself is worth buying again as I’ve tried other treats that claim to help with hair balls and didn’t see a difference.

I use these salmon vital essentials mini nibs as training treats. They work well for obedience training but really excel at being used as tracking treats. They are really small, at least the bags I bought have smaller pieces than the beef or other mini nibs.

But they definitely have more of an odor. fishy yes, but the dogs can find them in grass easily. They are good for games of ‘search for the treats’. Where I put treats all over the yard or house and tell my dog to ‘find’ them.

Because of the odor I think it is more interesting for the dogs when they first start searching or tracking. But they are not slimy or sticky, they are nice and dry and easy to handle. Dogs can learn to use that nose for any type of nose work, easily, because of the stronger odor.

They are a big step above kibble for treats, and better than most store bought treats cause they are just salmon not a lot of junk mixed in. I also put them in some of the food toys I have, like the everlasting treat ball, or other toys that take treats.

You can’t go wrong if your dog likes fishy stuff. mine all do.

I have 2 old yorkies (13 & 19) that do not have teeth, they love this but you have to watch for small bones, tiny bones that sometimes are very sharp. I soak these patties and then when I break them up, I squish it and take out the bone fragments.

If your dog has teeth, I’m sure they could break up the bones by chewing but my yorkies are 5 lbs and i’m scared they’ll choke if they ate one of the sharper bones. Some of the bones are round and would probably go down just fine, but I have come across some that have a sharp pointy end.

I am talking tiny, like a shriveled pea, again, not a problem if round and your dog has teeth but bad for toothless dogs and the sharp ones. They do LOVE this food though. I can’t decide if I’ll buy it again because its extra work for me.

The more bones I find, the more my doberman gets a taste of rabbit so nothing is wasted.

My 1 yr old Beagle Loves this food. My Beagle runs 4-6 miles daily, she is a very high energy dog. She eats 3 times per day. I feed her this food straight in the mornings and I mix it in her afternoon meal.

I also use it for training 2-3 hours per day. My pup is not treat motivated but this is a high valued food for her. I had no idea that Chewy carried this, I have been purchasing it locally 40% higher priced.

I am very happy to start purchasing the whole line here. She approves of all the flavors. I approve of the high quality healthy ingredients. This also helps her to stay lean and develop her muscles. Their cat line is also very good, according to my cat.

I have two cats, a snow shoe Siamese male and a tabby point Siamese female. They are both pretty picky eaters. But my female is very picky. She is also very undersized. 3 yrs old and looks like a 8-9 month old kitten and she doesn’t eat much.

My male is huge and he eats a lot! These appetizers are just the right size for her. She eats all of it. And then has her iams dry for the rest of the day. And plenty of water. No more dried up cat food in her dish.

I received my Fancy Feast Appetizers package as a sample. I should probably preface this by saying that my cat is 15 years old, he’s old, he smells bad, he has only had wet food two times since I adopted him when he was 9 months old.

This cat is also needy, he wakes up my newborn for snuggles, he wakes up my 2 year old for snuggles, he wakes up everyone in the house for snuggles, except my husband. My husband often finds this cat on his side of the bed eating tissues, plastic bags, rubber bands, you name it, this cat is trying to eat it in his old man stupor.

Well one night after receiving this sample, my cat decided he was going to yowl through the house like he was hungry, so my husband, the loving man he is, trudged angrily cursing up a storm to the kitchen and opened this package.

You’ve never seen a cat eat faster, good lord he went to town! Well he didn’t puke, he was happy, and my newborn didn’t wake up. What more could I ask for?.

I’ve always owned dogs not cats, but recently wanted to add a cat to the family and very happy that we have, shes great! Needless to say that I didn’t know exactly which cat food was the best or what kind of food cats would like the most, so I bought this bag of cat food.

Needless to say my cat was not impressed at all. I even gave her some time with it, like a week to see if she would eventually start to like it, but no not at all. Lol. I always would assume that she would just eat it because it was the only food that she had there.

And so she would feel forced to eat it so she wouldn’t go hungry. But she definitely does not like it. she is not a fan of it at all so I switched her to a brand she is very happy with now.

My one and half years old Thai Cat MUNNU love this food. Quite a hungry cat is mine. In past he used to eat wet food granules. Four months back he fell sick with bad stomach. He recovered but since then he began to hate wet food.

Gave him some beef, chicken, lamb, fish but he never touched it and not even smelled those meats. Then I thought to try a different food. My colleague Mrs. Natasha too have a similar cat like mine. It’s a female.

She is giving her cat this product Meow Mix. She advised me to try this one on my cat. Then bought it and served to my cat. He ate it like he is hungry since decades☺️. Now coming to product, it’s highly rich in quality, but a little pricey compared to other similar cat foods.

The ingredients of Meow mix are nicely filled with chicken/Seafood. He is enjoying this food like it was the best thing He ever ate. I’m regularly checking his weight and found that he is gaining a little weight day by day and he became much healthier than before.

Thinking to try other meow mix textures and flavors. Have to see how he reacts to those flavours. !.

Neither of my cats liked this. Both my cats kind of just showed up at my house from the outside and never left. The youngest is approx 7 and will eat anything. Dry pasta I left on the counter, things that aren’t food, cheetos, toast, etc.

She wouldn’t touch it. Sniffed it and walked away. My older one is 17 and a lot Pickier. She had a health scare last year and lost half her body weight, and we just feed her whatever she wants. We used fatty foods to get her weight back up, and this is one of the ones I tried.

She had no interest, even though she loves this kind of thing. We stuck with vitakraft toppers and Hartz Bisques. The ingredients also don’t seem to be the best quality for regular feeding. Maybe as a treat occasionally, but I ended up donating the rest of the case I bought to our local shelter.

I started using this when my cat was diagnosed with cancer & stopped eating. She’s since passed but it’s been a staple for my other cat, Leonard DiCattio since I got him. I mix some with his wet food & coat his dry food with it.

There’s 2 other cats in the house & they all race to Leo’s food. His bowls are always the first to be empty. The simple ingredients, collagen from bone broth and probiotics really drove me to give this a whirl.

And the packaging?! Sealed the deal. I *pray* this product is available for a long, long time.

I’m always on the hunt for easy to eat treats that my picky senior cat will like to help her get some extra calories in. She’s not highly food motivated and has lost some teeth, so it’s hard to find something she enjoys and can eat easily.

This treat is PERFECT! She will eat a whole pouch if I let her (which I often do). It’s so hard to find something that is truly lickable and easy for an older cat to eat. No large chunks of meat or sticky pate.

My 17 y/o is a huge fan so I clear the shelves when I see it’s available. 10/10, please try if you have an older cat the struggles to get enough calories in!.

One of our cats needs cosequin, but she’s gotten tired of it and won’t eat it. unless it’s mixed with this stuff. When we ran out recently, we tried something else, and I had three of the saddest cats ever following me around waiting for, as we call it, The Good Stuff.

I have recommended it to friends, and one said that while waiting (impatiently) to be given their broth, their cats “make sounds I’ve never heard them make. ” I cannot emphasize how much my cats love this.

I would include a picture of their enjoyment, but I am not allowed to do anything that delays their feeding of The Good Stuff in any way, and they finish it very quickly.

I was really really hoping this would just make my cat go wild but it didn’t really. The first time I gave it to him he sniffed and walked away. So I left the house for a bit and left some food with the dust sprinkled on it and then also a small bowl with just a tiny bit of the dust.

When I came back he did eat all the plain dust and some of the food. Later I kept bringing him over to his bowl with it on top, and he wasn’t overly excited. We took a break over night from it (Just wanted to make sure it wouldn’t make him vomit or have diarrhea ) and today I put it on his dry food again.

He seems ok with it. He does take an appetite stimulant about 1x per week due to his IBD makes him not hungry. I think I’ll just keep it in the pantry to pull out for special occasions or situations where he needs a change? Overall tho it totally smells like something cats would go nuts for.

One of our cats has kidney issues and doesn’t always have an appetite, especially for her kidney-specific diet. We sprinkle this on top and she suddenly is ready to eat up her whole dish with gusto. Sometimes she’s low-energy and doesn’t seem at all interested in eating but when she even sees the bag come out, she gets up and readies herself to enjoy her dinner.

Two of the other cats started wanting to eat her food so we now give them a sprinkle of this stuff as well. For whatever reason our fourth cat doesn’t enjoy it but that’s actually good because he has a big appetite and would eat everyone else’s food if we weren’t sprinkling it, so in that case it has a useful deterrent effect! (We give him a bit of nutritional yeast instead so he doesn’t feel left out of the garnishing situation.

I had seen this at a mom & pop pet shop, and decided to give it a try. Well I have to say that both my boys loved it! They absolutely loved it. It smells fishy! So I think that’s why they like it. My boys also aren’t very picky, so they’ll eat about almost anything I offer them.

I give them each a teaspoon mixed with about 4 tablespoons of water, then mix it with their dry food. I also add a teaspoon of canned 100% pure pumpkin WITH NO ADDED SUGAR OR PRESERVATIVES, and it’s the best! Adds extra fiber to break down hair balls.

I freeze the pumpkin in a container after I open it. And I just ice cream scoop out whatever I need to use.

I feed these to my two cats as one of their moist food options, and they both love them. It’s not one of those that they lick all the moisture away and leave the rest. They down them. They like all the flavors too.

I’m definitely keeping these in stock for them!.

Read the label before ordering. As much as my cats love Inaba treats I won’t order the food toppers due to the presence of carrageenan. Not sure why the company uses it as the Toppers also contains guar gum, another thickener which is better than carrageenan.

Chewy did not have Bebe’s favorite and I searched the stores and any on line stores. This is the only substitute food she would ea. t I’m concerned that it is listed as a Food Topper and the cost is way up there.

She continues to eat this and I continue to buy it as Chewy is still out of her favorite food. The Price is way too much!.

I bought these thinking they would be great to incorporate into my cats kibble. Turns out he loves them but they make him vomit a lot. He does just fine on the days I give him his dry food and canned wet food, but for some reason these make his tummy upset.

I continued to give him some just to see if that’s what it was and the results stayed the same. I also checked the expiration date and that’s fine. I wouldn’t say he’s eating them too fast or anything, he gets about half a packet a day and it’ll last until he pukes it back up.

I really wish he could hold these down as I love the idea of giving him wet food options. I suggest maybe buying one packet to see how your cat does before buying the whole variety pack!.

My cat goes crazy about anything instinct. It smells terrible, I will admit, but as compared to any grain or corn heavy food out on the market, he seems to like it significantly more. The food itself is pricey, but I think for my cats health it is worth the extra money.

This food specifically, I only give him for special occasions, and mix it with some of his dry instinct raw boost food. He seems to love it and I’ve really noticed a difference in his coat and energy level.

This food specifically I think is a good middle ground for price.

Wow was this a battle!!! Our carbohydrate intolerant Bombay decided after 8 years of the SAME food, he wouldn’t eat it. At $2. 50 a pouch, and about four tries and two days, using pouches from alternate batches, he was done.

Since putting him on a grain free wet diet measured at 9 Oz a day, his coat looked as beautiful as the day we met and, he once heart condition always undetectable WITHOUT using the pills. So, tried the hard food version of the wet, just at the beginning of the quarantine and pandemic.

He gained three a pounds and grew an undercoat that required the furmerator, generating enough excess hair i could sent it to Cher for a wig. So went back to soft. HAD to go retail and buy individual packs and cans to see what was going to get him through his pandemic boredom.

He was “ok” with canned pate but the litterbox wasn’t; like liked some of the organic gourmet grain free choices but didnt vocalize or act like an egg time watching the digital clock waiting for the 4 to show up so he could SCREAM announcing it was time.

Finally tried this and it’s off the hook. He’s DEFINITELY founder of the duck, wouldn’t touch the rabbit and looked at me as if I was an idiot for trying and definitely took to the chicken well. But the duck.

back to his Oprah good weight, beautiful coat and no murmur. BTW, Chewy was so gracious about a refund for two months of unopened former food. NOW we have our boy back and Chewy is 15% less than retail! Thanks Chewy!.

I was very excited to feed my cats the Made by Nacho Cage-Free Turkey Bone Broth. My cats specifically love wet food with gravy or extra gravy, but I try to give them healthier options or diet-specific food.

Once I realized that there were gravy/broth type of additives or toppers, I was very excited. This is the second type that I’ve tried. It seemed healthier and more gourmet just by looking at it and reading about it.

When I saw the ingredients, I was kind of confused because apple juice doesn’t seem like an ingredient you’d want to give a cat on purpose. But my cats both love it. They always slurp all the liquid first and then come back and eat the actual food.

It seems a little pricey, but one carton of this broth lasts me about 5 days (maybe a week if I’m measuring it correctly, or going by the smaller measurement). I received this product free in exchange for my honest opinion.

However I have bought several flavors since finishing the first carton. I would definitely recommend this.

I have 2 13 years old picky cats. So I love that these “toppers” have started to come out. I feed dry food as their second meal even though they are more particular to wet food. I love the runny consistency of this topper because it gets all over their dry food so every piece gets saturated without using a lot of product.

The most important thing is my cats enjoy the taste and gobble their dry food up instead of acting like they are eating vomit when I give them just dry food without the topper. I like nacho the best because of the ingredient list.

It’s organic and with my cats age I want to keep them around as long as possible so I want them to have the best. Thank you nacho! I received this product to try for free to review but will buy after I use up this large bottle.

I love that I can choose what is in my order and the quantities. The products arrived well packaged and undamaged. All the food was good quality. I liked the packets that you could pour into a bowl and were easy to rinse out.

The resealable kibble bags and freeze dried treat bags are great. My 7 year old male cat seems to enjoy all of the flavors. His favorite seems to be the Turkey and Broth. He enjoyed the kibble food as well.

I would add a couple teaspoons of chicken or turkey broth to the Chicken kibble. He loved it when I would heat the broth for a few seconds in the microwave. All the freeze dried treats were a hit. We even shared “a few” with a friend’s cat.

I’ve only had this food for a month and I’ve noticed a HUGE difference! My 125 lb Saint was constantly getting diarrhea and waking me up through the night and now she’s pooping solid and letting me sleep!! She does get a probiotic as well but I truly believe this is a miracle food for her because she’s pooping a lot less too and getting the nutrients she needs.

I’ve gone through so many brands and finally did a food sensitivity test for her and found out she had sensitivities to soy, salmon oil, and eggs which this food does not have! I’m so happy to have found this brand because I was getting sick and tired of hosing down the yard from her diarrhea! Wanted to thank Chewy’s customer service for their help with returning another limited ingredient diet brand that I tried first and when I got the bag it said salmon oil but did not say it on their website.

They sent me a bag of Instinct right away and I’m totally hooked! Totally doing the happy dance right now and Remi is thanking me as well!.

I’m a longtime Chewy customer. I don’t know if I’ve written a review on this site yet… I may have once, but can’t remember. Needless to say, I don’t normally write reviews but I feel compelled to do so for this product.

First, I really wanted to like this food. If my three fussy cats love it, why wouldn’t I be happy with it? I had read other reviews saying that it will make your cat’s poop stink like nothing else. I thought, “gosh, how bad could it be? If they like it then I can look (or smell) past it.

” I couldn’t wait to be done with this stuff! The smell was that terrible. My husband and I decided about halfway through the bag that this food would not be purchased again. We didn’t want it to go to waste, so we stuck with it and had them finish it up.

The cats just had their last meal of this food, and my goodness! I am happy that’s done! Didn’t think I would feel this strongly about it. I am determined to find a food that’s good for them and that they all like, but this stuff just ain’t it.

I would only recommend if you have good separation of the litter box and people in your home, or if your cats go outside.

Before Instinct, my cat was throwing up hours later after he would eat and was becoming emaciated. Took my cat to the vet and the vet did the usual tests that came out fine. The vet suggested a popular prescription diet food that vets usually recommend and carry in their office and to try that for a week and see if it stops my cat from throwing up.

I tried that for a week but the cat still was throwing up. Vet then suggested that the cat had to get an ultrasound. The ultrasound determined that his intestines were inflamed/irritated and because of that the cat is throwing up, but the ultrasound showed nothing that was making his intestines inflamed.

By this time 3 weeks or more had passed and my cat is now extremely emaciated (cried every time I looked at him and felt helpless). After the ultrasound results the vet said it might be because the chicken in the food is upsetting his intestines and suggested to try a “novel” cat food such as rabbit and it could not contain any chicken in it.

He stressed. ABSOLUTELY NO CHICKEN in the cat food. Not even a morsel of chicken that they might use to make the “gravy”. Not to even give him treats at all because those tend to have some kind of chicken in them.

I searched the internet and finally found Instinct limited ingredient rabbit dry food. Purchased this because there was absolutely no chicken in it. I gave my cat a scoopful and he gobbled it up which meant he liked the taste, but the real test was if he would throw it up later that night.

That night I waited (my stomach was in knots from worrying) and hoping that my cat wouldn’t throw it up. That night he didn’t throw up, but the worry was still there that it might just have been a fluke but hoped it wasn’t.

For the next 3 weeks I have given him the Instinct dry food (rabbit)and the Instinct wet food (rabbit)and he hasn’t thrown up once to my relief. In fact, he is no longer emaciated looking. He has gained all his weight back.

He is healthy again and gobbles up both his dry and canned wet food. Instinct Limited Ingredient (rabbit) saved my cat’s life. This is the only dry (rabbit) food I have found that contains NO CHICKEN AT ALL.

I hope this helps to answer the question of anyone wondering if chicken is in this product and for any other stressed out owners whose cat is having difficulties with their cat who made have an issue with having chicken in their cat’s cat food.

I have a kitty that loves eating a variety of foods. Problem is she is allergic to poultry and fish, therefore I have to search far and wide to find options she can eat. Most cat foods are marked rabbit, lamb, beef, or pork, but in fact, hide chicken, or fish near the top of the ingredient listing, and this makes finding an assortment impossible.

Rabbit seems to be the food that best keeps her off of prednisone, which damages her kidneys. Thank you for creating options for allergic kitties.

My cats get Core and Prescription Diet dry foods 24/7, plus their (until now) favorite Fancy Feast flavor, but I wanted to try a better quality wet food than FF. So far they’ve tried Instinct turkey, duck, and rabbit.

They like the turkey about as well as the FF, wouldn’t touch the duck with a barge pole, and *love* the rabbit. They like it so much that for the first time ever they pestered me to feed them, then dove in.

With the dry available they’ve always taken care of themselves between can feedings, but they were obviously eating the rabbit for the flavor. I have better luck with all their wet food when I mash it up a little with a fork.

They tend to lick the gravy up otherwise and leave the chunks.

Cats will not eat this. Very over priced. Only bought it because the cat food my cats will eat has not been available locally for over 6 months, and wasn’t available at Chewy either lately.

I recently started buying my cats Inaba Side Dishes they love the squeeze up treats and are now addicted to these meals. Easy to serve and the perfect size as I was always throwing away extra food.

First off… these are the cutest little things. This one had a mini scallop in it and I couldn’t help but laugh. I have one cat who only likes meats and the other only likes fish. So opening this and seeing their faces was hilarious.

My meat girl instantly knew she didn’t want it and the other was so excited she was listening to commands. Definitely keeping these as a snack or treat for my pretty girl.

My cat is OBSESSED with all of the Fancy Feast appetizers. She is a very picky eater and often changes her preferences. These are some of her favorites and she will be upset if she doesn’t get it. Other Fancy Feast cat food does not get the same reaction from my cat — I don’t know what’s in these that makes it so special!.

I thought for sure that my one cat would eat its since its all fresh and natural. My one cat Midnight didn’t like it and my other cat star did but then I would feed it to star again and she decided she didn’t like it anymore.

So now they are both not crazy about it. Its just that I know my one cat Midnight hasn’t been crazy about chicken and who knew that the other one star wouldn’t but, I think she is just following Midnight now.

This is why I had to give a 3. I personally like the fact that its all natural with vitamins that they need and no fillers or anything else that might not be good for them.

My extremely spoiled and picky cat eats these toppers with great enthusiasm. So much so that she pretends to murder the shredded meat before devouring it. I bought these during a scary week where she didn’t want to eat, and her delight in these helped me feel less worried while waiting for blood test results.

Turns out she was okay, and she continues to demand her Tiki Cat Toppers every day as if she’s never been fed. 5/5 stars.

My dogs love this! It is a bit too big as training treats for my dogs but I still use it as during walks to get some engagement and redirect from distractions. I also use some on top of my stuffed Kongs or Zogoflex Toppl to \”seal\” them on the top.

If you like to carry it in treat pouches or pockets, the beef flavor specifically is less crumbly than the others although it still crumbles more than Instinct Raw Meals.

I bought just to try it out and wow, I see why my dog goes crazy for it. I added a bit of water to it and the room immediately is filled with the smell of beef! Smells really yummy and fresh too. It is a bit pricey for the portion though.

I only added this as meal topper and finished it in less than 2 weeks.

Our girl loves these. Though they initially appear to be quite dry, they soften right up and dissolve nicely as soon as they enter her mouth. We can always rely on PureBites treats, no matter the flavor or main ingredient.

My dog LOVES this! As soon as she sees me grab the bag out of the fridge, she starts getting excited & following me around. She used to let her food sit all day, & sometimes I’d wake up the next day and she still hadn’t eaten.

Never again once I started sprinkling this on top! My only complaint is that it’s very clumpy. Not sure if maybe I purchased 2 bags that had been on the shelf a while. They both had a bunch of clumps of the product, & it was difficult to work around them and get to the powdery product in order to be able to sprinkle it.

I tried flattening them out but they wouldn’t disintegrate, likely because the product is cold from the fridge. I lost a portion of both bags because of it since I couldn’t give my dog the big pieces of it.

My labradoodle has some food allergies and wasn’t crazy about his food, even though it’s crazy expensive. Another dog owner suggested another brand of topper that is equally as nutritious but much more $$ per ounce.

I can’t even tell you how happy I was to find this stuff at Target. My dog now eats every bit of his food, and he looks forward to meals, all with a little sprinkle of this topper. Please keep carrying Kindfull brand, Target! It’s amazing stuff at a ridiculously fair price and has made all the difference for my picky labradoodle.
