20 Best Cat For Family (2022 Updated)

One of my daughters has several Calico Critter sets and was thrilled when I got the Midnight Cat Family for her. These adorable dressed kitty’s include Mom Allison, Dad James, sister Chantelle and baby brother Reggie.

They come with stories to tell on the box and are so soft. They are posable figurines are small and are for the Critters dollhouse. Lot’s of playtime and they encourage the imagination with stores to tell.

Because the kitty’s are small, I always make sure I am supervising them. Really precious play time with these 4!.

This toy is so cute and fun. My kids love to play with the cats all the time. They love to act out the story with the cats. I love how the cats arms move up and down. They seem to be made of very high quality, and I think should last a long time.

The only thing I did not like is the book is just made out of paper. Because my kids read it so much, it is already starting to tear. I wish it was made of card stock or was laminated. Overall this is a great toy and I would highly recommend it.

These were given to my two year old for her birthday. She absolutely loves cats and these did not disappoint her. What’s also super important to add is that my child is still a chewer. And even though she soaks these toys, they hold up very well to the wear and tear of a two year old.

I really love how these quickly became a favorite toy for my children. With all the electronics and moving parts on other toys, these classic dolls are still preferred. Whenever we clean up for the day, it always seems like the calico collection is proudly displayed on the shelf and everything else goes in the bins.

My girls also say goodnight and kiss them and put them in their beds. We really love these and couldn’t be happier with our growing collection.

Well let’s start off this review by saying I am jealous of my 5 year old receiving these as a free sample. I wanted Country Critters as a kid, but I never owned them! We gave these to my daughter as a part of her Christmas present and her first initial reaction was “They are so cute!”.

They are so versatile in that she can play with them with several of her other toys, including the bathroom set she has, the classroom set she has, and yesterday she was playing with them in a camper meant for small animals and/or dolls.

So far she’s really enjoyed these and I am glad to say our first experience with this product was a success! I’m sure we will be getting more as they come in several other types of animals (a small booklet comes with them to specify which kinds).

My kids are having so much fun with the adorable Calico Critters Silk Cat Family! They could not have arrived at a better time with the colder weather arriving and the pandemic. They have decided that there is a mother, father, brother, and sister- all of whom they have named.

They are soft and well made, and incredibly durable. Unlike many of their toys, these little critters stand up on their own. Dressed in the cutest little outfits, you can’t help but love them! It is so nice to see the kids engage in creative play, rather than staring at the television.

We can’t wait to get more little critters to join our family!! Highly recommended!!!.

My cats have been on a prescription formula for urinary issues for a very long time. The prescription formula was not kind on their bellies/colons and they were often constipated. They were properly hydrated, but the prescription food was formulated for normal sized house cats but at a healthy weight my boys are 14lbs and 10lbs.

the amount they had to eat to get enough calories was just not kind to their tummies but they were otherwise healthy. It was also making one of my cats obese (the 14# orange tabby has grown to 19#) even though he was eating significantly less than the smaller cat.

It also became so expensive that I absolutely could not afford it anymore and was VERY stressed trying to find a replacement. I just couldn’t find anything that I trusted would protect my baby’s urinary health, with the high quality ingredients and top notch standards of Open Farm.

When I finally found Open Farm I could not believe how affordable it was. My cats love the size, texture, and flavor. It’s very nutritionally balanced so I can feed the larger cat a bit less for a healthy weight loss plan.

He and his vet are very happy. Plus the litter box has returned to its healthy poopy self! My chonky boy ended up having a salmon allergy (he is just a sensitive boy) and while they both LOVED that formula they love the turkey and chicken one more.

Our non-allergic boy is finishing off the salmon formula but he tries to steal his brother’s food if he doesn’t finish his breakfast! It was painlessly easy to do the formula change in the auto ship too.

I was hopeful when I tried this product. I was confident it would be ok having to purchase full order since no “trial” sized options are offered. My cats notoriously eat pretty much anything (wet/dry), as long as it’s not chicken.

Man was I disappointed when they wouldn’t touch the dry. Very weird for my cats. The wet, although I’m sure is very healthy and a great food, comes in these awesome little ethically sourced, cardboard boxes.

The only issue? Pretty nasty stuff (puree’d fish, basically), and difficult to serve without getting it all over your hands, and I had to place it in a plastic bag to refrigerate, or the whole fridge would smell like fish.

I didn’t have a glass container (with lid), tall enough to store it upright and definitely didn’t want it spilling. so my attempt at being a conscientious steward of the earth took a “fail” on that one.

Still. I’m a little weird about my cats and would have worked around this. IF they had liked it. But no go. I think this is most likely a wonderful company doing great things with pet food. I work at a Feline exclusive Veterinary so have a little experience with cat stuff.

For some reason all three of my cats turned it down. I’m out almost $100. 00 and ordered my original food today. I would have been seriously impressed if a trial were offered.

When I was looking for a new dry food, I was being cautious as our family cat (Chico – I’m his primary caretaker since Dec 2021) has been used to the Friskies Chefs bland. This blend of ingredients caught my attention really quick, and I figured I may as well give it a try.

He loves the Salmon Temptation treats, so I figured this flavor, combined with a higher quality should do something. I was glad at the pellet size as it was roughly half the size of those Friskies pellets.

This is easier for him, and I noticed he stopped flinging food pieces around his bowl thanks to this switch up, combined with an elevated food bowl angled towards how he leans in. At the end of the day, he eats this up.

I top this off with a spoonful or two of the chicken broth so he has plenty of flavor in his foods, and he (shockingly) laps up the broth before digging into the dry food. So the next step is to see if I can bring in a rustic wet food, and have him eating great in his elder years.

If you’re considering switch up dry food, for your pet, give this brand a try. Start small and work your way up. Pets have a way of letting us know what they like and don’t like.

I got a couple cans of each RC kitten food, two of the thin slices and two of the loaf in gravy, as a way to test out different foods for some picky eaters. I put half of their usual stuff of Purina Pro and half RC thin slices on a plate for each of my kittens.

Most of the PP stuff remained on each plate while all the RC got gnarfed down and licked off. The texture of thin slices is nice to pair with a pate, which my kittens like from the RC loaf in gravy too.

Thin slices are actually much smaller than other brands, which is nice because young kittens may not be up to chewing large chunks. I would say get a couple cans of both thin slices and loaf from your local grocer or pet supply store, and try them out for your kittens before committing to a large order.

RC is a bit higher but for kittens to lick their plates, it’s worth the little extra than having the other stuff being left behind (and may not be as nutritious with lots of meat by-product). I’ll be ordering the large cases from chewy to make it more economical.

I purchased this for my 8 year old grand twins, because the girl loves cats, and they both like board games. Their dad and mom play monopoly a lot, but not with the kids. This says ages 8 and up. It was perfect! The first time we played, the kids didn’t want to stop, but I insisted we take a break after 2 hours.

(Yes, this is a “cat” version of Monopoly, so it does take time, but time flies. ) I can’t wait to visit them again to play the game with them. Highly recommend.

I received this board game within 4 days of ordering it!! I purchased this game as a Christmas gift for my 8 year old granddaughter. I researched the company before ordering. This company is based in Cinncinatti , Ohio.

Every part and piece of this game is made within a small radius of the city. Yes, made in the USA!!! I didn’t have to advance order or wait forever to receive the game. Because this is a Christmas gift, I can’t comment on how much fun it will be.

I did find that there are facts of the various breeds to be discovered while playing. I look forward to giving this gift!.

I bought this for being raised in Chicago and growing up there, for nostalgic reasons. But once I actually seen this game in person I was disappointed in the manufacture of the game. The game pieces could have represented the iconic features in Chicago and there could have been made better choices of the game board itself.

There’s so much to choose from I understand that but with that being said I think the choices made were not good, all could have been better. But like I said because of nostalgic reasons I bought this game and will try to enjoy it as is.

These calico critters are absolutely adorable! My toddler loves them and is always playing with them. They are very sturdy, and well made for lots of years of love. Their outfits are too cute for words, and are made high-quality as well.

Clothing is removeable/interchangeable. Their arms and legs move, and they’re very soft and fuzzy. My daughter even asks me to buy more since she enjoys them so much. Super cute, and would recommend to any parent to buy for their child!.

This is a family of 4 Mother, Natalie. Father, Mason Sister, Lily Sister, Rose they are a athletic family who love to dance so adorable with the tuxedo and ballroom dresses. Clothing is removable/interchangeable.

They are super cute and filled with so much detail. The arms , legs and head are all points of articulation. The skin is so soft and very soothing. This family has the cutest outfits! So fancy. Very well made.

Wow. I am so impressed by these toys. My girls play with them every single day and just adore them. I didn’t realize how mobile their limbs would be but it’s a nice change from small dolls/toys that have arms and legs that just barely move, if at all.

I’ve never considered purchasing Callico Critters before but I will likely be buying more. They’re wonderful.

Both the mama’s and weaning babies love it! It’s tiny enough and moist enough as a “dry” kibble that the babies can eat with their baby teeth. Even if their is no mama, babies will eat it, which is such a relief when raising a motherless litter.

I continue to keep the babies on it until their about 12 weeks, then I move up to the larger kitten kibble. I use it for pregnant mama’s, too, as it seems very nutritious, keeps their weight up, and gives them a healthy, shiny coat – which is what is needed for healthy newborns.

I have very healthy babies when using this food. The only drawback is that is IS very expensive, especially when feeding mama, too. Because of that, many people buy cheaper food and then end up with unhealthy mama & kittens.

Please get the cost down so more people can use this great food. Thank you.

Only bought due to getting a kitten who was eating this & didn’t want to cause digestive issues. Love the kibble size, but that’s all I like about this food. I assumed this kitten food was high quality due to price tag, but it’s not.

I don’t think this kitten food is worth the price. It has Chicken By-Product Meal as 1st ingredient – this is over $4 a pound & that’s the 1st ingredient!?! It also has carotene in it. I think Purina Kitten chow is better quality than this & has no carotene & more protein.

If paying over $4 a pound for kitten food get something that’s higher quality than this cuz this isn’t premium food – it’s just cheap food with a high price tag.

My kittens and even largest cats prefer this kibble to any others I’ve tried so far, and I’ve tried so many. They prefer the small size and textured shape of the kibble because it’s easy to eat. It smells pleasant and doesn’t cause overly malodorous droppings.

I’ve tried many other kitten kibbles, which are all too big and hard despite supposedly being designed for kittens. By comparison, Royal Canin mother and babycat is the only kibble I’ve found so far that is small enough to be suitable for kittens.

It’s also excellent for cats in convalescence recovering from illness or injury when reintroducing dry solids because of the small and easy to eat kibble size. I really like this product and recommend it as a standard staple daily kibble to be available for any kittens/cats.

I have one Russian Blue who is pickier than a toddler when it comes to anything in life. The right litter box, the right litter, the right toys, and treats and beds lol. I love him and he’s worth it.

His big brother is very go with the flow, but he’s allergic to chicken which is super difficult for a cat. There aren’t many brands out there that are chicken free. Usually there is chicken or a by product somewhere in the ingredients list.

This food not only is safe for him to eat, the pickiest cat in the world loves it too! On top of the convenience of being able to feed them the same food, we’ve noticed differences in both of them. Their coats look amazing.

They are both a healthy weights now. They have energy and play. The digestive tracts seem to be flowing nicely. I like the ingredients and the fact that this food is priced reasonably given the high quality.

This food is definitely a great choice.

Like so many others squeezed between sticker shock and out-of-stock canned favorites, I have been resorting to trying new dry foods and also ordering stews/soups/treats to put on available but third choice cans of wet food.

Fussie Cat was part of the new dry food effort. I fell for the bright shiny packaging (sale price helped). did not even question “chickenmeal” as in what is chickenmeal and what cat in his/her right mind would eat such a thing voluntarily? Answer: NONE of my crew! They sniffed, then walked away demonstrating just how sane they all are.

The stuff is tiny balls of dry food which was the first turn off. The second, no enticing aroma. Nothing head turning, no come hither. Just blah. However, when I finally threw it out, for a minute, I had a really spiffy bag on top of my garbage.

A few yrs ago, I took home a tiny diluted tortie kitten frm a cat rescue. They failed to tell me she had constant diarrhea! We were feeding our cats a very expensive, online purchase-cat food, which still caused kitten Claire to have diarrhea! We desperately searched different brands to find something she could eat! She was losing weight & I was afraid I’d lose her! We finally came across Fussie Cat-chk’n & turkey (as the best choice for her tummy).

Within a day or 2, the diarrhea disappeared! I found her in the litter box growling as she struggled to pass a regular bum! Our skinny baby is now a 14-lb beauty, thanks to Fussie Cat!!.

I first looked at this food because I saw it suggested on the Cole and Marmalade page. I liked the idea of human grade food. I have 10 cats. One is on a prescription diet, and 3 won’t eat wet food, so I have been trying different flavors of this with the rest.

They had been eating a combination of some dry meals (Royal Canin indoor) and some Tiny tasters. I had some trouble getting the tiny tasters — and was looking for an alternative or back up. I feed 3 times a day because the smaller meals seem to help reduce throw up.

So far the only flavor none of the cats like is the duck. I was surprised that several liked the ones with pumpkin. I was also surprised by the. whole food appearance of this food. It seriously looks like normal shredded chicken breast.

I also saw some chunks of fish that were clearly identifiable as fish. Coming from other brands that are more like a mystery paste – or a mystery paste with chunks – I was impressed. The gravy is a huge hit with my cats – and makes it easy to add the liquid joint supplement for my seniors.

I haven’t fed it long enough to see changes in health for better or worse. I like the the convenient storing, less packaging trash, and feeding of pouches – but because this food is a very loose gravy and then chunks of meat – it’s fairly easy to spill gravy when opening.

You could use scissors. Some bits of meat stick inside the pouch. If you wanted to get more, you could use a spoon to scrape it out. The pouches would be nearly impossible to divide. For example, they say to feed 1 oz for every pound of body weight – divided into two feedings.

I have a 10 pound cat. If you just empty the pouches, it would be very hard to divvy up the gravy and chunks accurately. It could be their suggestions aren’t accurate. I haven’t (and might not) switch over to it being the sole food so I will update if I change anything.

So, I’ll start off by saying this is one of the few wet foods my very picky tuna-loving boy will actually eat. The issue comes from the consistency in quality from the manufacturer. As of 2018 weruva removed the carrageenan from their cat products and all the pouches I get from chewy have the same tag on them disclaiming so.

This is not the issue. The trouble seems to stem from the greatly differing quality of the food per batch. It’s horribly annoying to order a set of pretty pricey cat food just to find out that the broth is super thick and oily and the pouch won’t open easily.

Then to top it off your cat immediately snubs it. The “right” consistency, which happens on occasion (though never twice in a row) is brothy and easier to open smoothly and my cat actually enjoys. I doubt there’s really anything chewy can do about this specifically since the trouble really does just seem to stem from the manufacturer and whatever the heck they’re doing ratio wise.

I’m mostly writing this review to let others know that it is definitely a crapshoot with this specific brand on whether you’ll end up with something your picky cat finds edible or not.

My cats love this flavor but Weruva’s lack of quality control is a huge problem. There are times when my cats won’t eat entire cases because the consistency is off, the flavor is off, it doesn’t smell right etc.

Sometimes it’s mostly “gravy” which is the worst. Hardly any solids. Sometimes it’s so heavy on duck and low on chicken that I can tell it’s going to be unappetizing. Chewy must get a ton of returns on this product.

Why doesn’t Weruva fix this? I’m bummed because my cats love it when the quality control is good and I don’t want to disappoint them. It’s difficult to transition cats over to new food.

These figures are very well made and they very cute and my daughter loves to play with them and to dress them up I was pleased to get them. They have greatly detailed, faces and bodies. My daughter really enjoys these cats.

Their clothes are adorable and sweet. My daughter really love them! I would definitely recommend this set to any parent looking for a fun toy for their kids.

I initially ordered this because it had the chicken gizzard as well as the liver and I thought Stella would like that. She may have, but we’ll never know. We have had her since July of 2021 and have given her many different foods trying to find the right diet for her.

So far the Weruva pawlickin chicken have been the varieties she enjoys. BUT, not this one. Kind of funny, because she is not a picky cat and has never done this before. I had to cut open the package and it did slide right onto a plate.

I cut it up and did find the texture kind of weird. like cold gravy from Thanksgiving??? Anyway, I sat it down in front of her anxiously awaiting body and went back to the sink to dispose of the pouch and put the spoon in the dishwasher.

I felt something by my leg and lo and behold, it was Stella. She had actually walked away from her plate without touching it. She was sniffing it when I put it down and I never dreamed she would leave it like that.

I took it up and gave her a can of the green eggs and chicken, which she happily chowed down and licked her bowl clean, as usual. Anyway, some cats may be able to get past the texture. Not here. I put the remainder pouches in my donation pile and called it a day.

I love this brand but will not recommend a food that has all the thickeners in it to make it form like this one. Friskies and Fancy Feast even have a better texture!.

I initially came across a packet of this at a grocery outlet. I was pleased to get one cheap, to just see if they liked it. They did, once I figured out how to serve it. Began buying it online, mainly for a 14 year old gal who is having trouble eating sometimes, because she likes it and keeps it down.

Right out of the packet, it’s strange looking, looks like a gelatin. It’s labeled a “pate” but I would not call it that at all. I initially just stirred it with a fork and set it in front of them. Not a winner.

So I added a tablespoon or so of water (give or take, based on the amount of pate being served), nuke it on low for 8 seconds (more if refrigerated) and stir well; THEY LOVE IT. I say “Do you want your slurry for breakie?” and they all come running.

It seems expensive at first but I get 3 to 4 servings out of each 5 oz package. Considering there is no waste and it’s good for them, the cost becomes less of an issue. My old girl is doing very well on this.

Cannot recommend this one enough. Got this at my local pet store to try and some variety to my cat’s diet. This is some super smooth pate with good water content, essential for my 21-year-old gal, with second stage kidney disease.

Sadly, the other flavors were not a hit, but this one is a staple that she’ll eat. Go figure! Only gripe is the price keeps going up–but then again, that’s true for almost everything these days. If you’re on the fence, buy a few single serve pouches at your local pet store to see which one appeals to your feline.

And then buy in bulk from Chewy!.

I started reading it, decided to give it a try, and less than 2 weeks later NO MORE SNEEZING, runny nose or itchy eyes!! My 2 daughters aren’t taking daily Claritin anymore, and I would never have believed it if I hadn’t tried it myself.

It’s pricey, but the amount I feed is a little less than the previous brand (which was excellent quality), there is so much less waste, so I’m scooping less and using less litter, and I’m not buying as much OTC meds, so it really does equal out.

Our cats LOVE the taste of this, and for the first time since we got them, they chase me around when they are ready to be fed, haha. It’s excellent, and if you or someone you love is struggling with allergies, please try it before even considering rehoming them.

(Long review with nerdy details for people with more severe allergies) It’s good food, my cat tolerates it well, and I will probably continue buying it in the future. It is quite a bit more expensive than the standard pro plan chicken and rice, but I have moderate-severe allergies — to the degree that my breathing is significantly impacted on a near-constant basis due to cat ownership — so every layer of protection helps.

The claim of 47% reduction in the Fel d 1 protein assumes that the cat(s) are allowed to eat “free choice” throughout the day. For many households, this is the norm, but there are several cases where leaving a full bowl of food out is not practical.

As many cat owners know, some cats will eat themselves to morbid obesity if left to their own devices. I own two such cats. It is not feasible to let them eat all that they want, ESPECIALLY in the case of this food, which is more calorie dense than most adult dry cat foods on the market.

So my cats need to be fed rationed amounts of food, twice per day, leaving a big space of time in between for the Fel d 1 protein to accumulate in their saliva, and get transferred to their coat during normal daily grooming.

This likely has a significant negative impact on the overall effectiveness. Obviously, the more frequent the meals can be, the closer the effectiveness will be to the ideal 47% you get from “free choice” feeding.

Also, if your cat tends to not drink much water, feeding them an all-dry diet will result in kidney problems down the road. For these cats (and in my opinion all cats) it is best to supplement dry food with wet food, which contains a lot of water, to help keep them well-hydrated.

I personally feed my cats ~1/2oz of dry food twice per day, with one big 1&1/2oz wet food meal in the middle of the day. For now, there are no LiveClear wet food alternatives, so this is another hole in the protection against allergens.

Long review short, it will definitely help a little bit, but it won’t prevent allergies entirely, especially if your allergies are more on the severe side. If that’s the case, and you’re dead-set on cat ownership regardless, I would recommend any and all of the following allergy-reduction strategies in addition to a LiveClear diet: (1) immunization therapy (allergy shots) if available, (2) indoor air filters specifically intended for pets, (3) AllerPet, which can be found on Amazon, which is a liquid solution that you rub on your cat’s coat as frequently as you/they will tolerate it, (4) regular washing of sheets, pillowcases, clothes, on HOT water, (5) Keeping them out of your bedroom as much as possible during the day if possible (assuming most are like me and couldn’t imagine sleeping in bed without your little allergy bombs).

So I have 5 cats, 1 year to 14 years, and all of them are picky eaters besides one. I’ve fed them Fancy Feast and Purina Friskies Pate in rotation their whole lives, until recently they stopped eating both.

I’ve been searching high and low for a food, any food they will be content with. I’ve ordered just about every wet food on the market, with no success. I placed an order the day before yesterday, for this Weruva grilled Tilapia and 4 other different brands; praying they at least like one of them.

My Chewy package just came and I about broke my neck opening the box so they could try them out. I opened every brand/flavor, set them out, and let my babies decide for themselves. All 5 went for the Weruva!! I cannot believe it.

I proceeded to open more so they could all have their own plate; they all licked their plates clean! I pray Weruva never changes their formula like some other brands often do, so my kitties can be happy and healthy for the rest of their lives.

Thank you Weruva, and thank you Chewy for a 10 star experience. 10 paws from my kitties as well, literally.

I definitely recommend this brand overall: the food is clearly real bits of fish and good quality. However, Asian Fusion is the one flavor they just refuse to eat. They love every other flavor in the seafood variety pack but they will go hungry before they will eat Asian Fusion.

We even tried mixing it in with one of the flavors they like and they just looked at us like we were jerks(!) I even tried offloading it on our cat sitter, but her cats won’t touch it, either. But I definitely recommend this brand.

We had been serving them cheaper grocery store brands–but once they got a taste of Weruva, we can’t get them to eat anything else. They’re real gravy lovers, so I usually mix a bit of warm water with it, especially when it’s been stored in the fridge.

This helps them stay hydrated and they will lick up every last bit of the soup. (And look adorable licking their lips afterwards!).

My cat has a food allergy (poultry) and the other is a picky eater. This and one other canned food by the same company are all they can agree on. For the price, you’d think they’d have a can that is easier to open.

I usually need a spoon to lift the ring up. On top of that, sometimes I can’t even pull the lid all the way off because it is bound so tight! For reference, I’m a pretty strong person with decent dexterity.

I also don’t want to use so much force that I fling stinky cat food all over my kitchen. But then, and this is the most time consuming part for me, the chunks of meat are unrealistically large. I can’t imagine a cat actually eating them as is.

So I have to spend another ten minutes chopping and mushing up the food so they’ll actually be able to eat it. You’d think they could afford to chop the dang food up themselves so that I don’t have to spend so long just to feed my cats a couple of cans of cat food.

I’m happy they can agree on the food now, but I’m always looking for a replacement so that I’ll have an easier experience.

I have 5 cats who are really picky. We mostly feed dry food, but give a can of wet in the evening for some extra hydration. 2 of my cats are older and seem to turn their noses up more often to wet food (especially the kinds that are more “realistic” like literal pieces of pulled chicken) and one of them I have to coax out of her sleeping spot by letting her smell the can.

This is the only kind that is guaranteed to get her up and has my other older cat pushing the other cats out of the way for more. They really like it. The texture is interesting because it’s more like a jelly (all of my cats prefer gravy over the puree/gel types) but breaks down nicely like very finely minced meat.

Great alternative to all the chicken and fish flavors, since one cat is allergic to chicken and too much fish can be harmful. Would recommend giving it a go.

No, not a pleasant title, but my cat was diagnosed with Stage 4 chronic kidney disease in November. Between that time and her passing a few months later I was struggling to find the best foods for her (like many cats, she didn’t care for the kidney prescription food).

For her last month I had settled on three of Weruva’s Cats in the Kitchen products, this one, the Chicken Frick-A-Zee and the Fowl Ball, along with their “Pantry Party Pouch Variety Pack” packet for treats.

Why? According to the nutrition info on the Weruva website, these products were among their lowest in phosphorus (good for kidneys) and appeared to be quite high quality protein, efficient for her weakening kidneys to process.

Also, my cat really liked them, in her final month, she had actually gained weight. Hindsight is 20/20 and I wish that I was trying to determine the best foods for her when she was at a much lower stage of kidney trouble.

Once you can stop searching for the “best food” you can relax a lot more. Knowing what I know now, I would have gotten her off the common store stuff and onto the Weruva at least one, maybe two years earlier.

I didn’t have many victories during my cat’s battle with kidney disease. Learning how to give her “SubQ” fluid injections to solve dehydration was the most precious, but after that being able to settle on Weruva’s fine products was the other.

I must stress that Weruva is not kidney prescription food, but for cats that won’t eat that stuff, Weruva’s lower-phosphorus offerings should certainly be considered.

Our cat randomly developed an allergy to her old foods, so after a lot of trial & error — I’m happy to say this is the only food she loves & keeps down! I love that it’s real chunks of fish with no weird ingredients, & I feel really good feeding it to her in combination with her new Orijen 6-fish dry food.

In this instance, please know that this product is safe despite seeing something unusual in the can. We have received similar inquiries from other consumers regarding Kitty Gone Wild. Sardines are an ingredient in the formula, and they are processed whole.

What you are seeing is algae from the inside of the sardine’s belly. The fish were most likely caught shortly after eating a meal. There are no concerns from a health standpoint. In pate products that contain sardines, the algae may be present…you just would not see it.

My little cat-loving girl really loves Calico Critters. The Maple Cat Family is the newest edition to her collection of critters. Her favorite features are that they are posable and that their clothing can be removed and put back on.

This really helps build her dexterity while she gets to exercise her imagination. She loves that the set comes with both parents, a brother and a sister and she spends hours role playing with them. She has named them all.

They are the perfect size for little hands and fingers to play with and it’s great to see little figurines that are cats. These are truly her favorite toys.

I received these toy from Calico Critters and this little family is so cute! My 5 year old loves to play pretend with these little Critters, and everything looks so real! My daughter uses this Critter family with the wood furniture, everything is so durable! My child is so excited to have received this!.

The Maple Cat Family are so adorable. They are good quality and very well made. The girls loved the cute tabby cats with folded ears. The set includes four figures: The Maple Cat father, mother, boy and girl.

The figures are possible by moving the head, arms and legs. This is a great collection for the Calico Critters fan. I would definitely recommend.

I adopted a four-year-old cat only to find out that she had constant loose, putrid-smelling stool AND did not cover her stool, ever. Bad combination. She had two fecal tests; no parasites or irregularities.

I was getting up at all hours to scoop stool immediately. I bought this in an effort to find a solution. Granted, this took a few months of consistent feeding, but we are currently at a point where my cat “goes” once a day and her stool is of normal consistency and smell.

For this, I am VERY grateful. It seems that many users find their cats’ digestive issues to be resolved or lessened after using this product. HOWEVER. It’s worth noting that this appears to be primarily made of low-quality ingredients (turkey by-product instead of actual turkey, lots of corn protein, etc.

) and is likely not very nutritionally viable despite technically being a “complete diet”. I am not an expert here, but I have seen two cat nutrition review sites give the Purina Cat Chow brand very low scores.

My cat has gained weight on this brand despite me feeding the minimum amount (granted, she was underweight when I got her and I upped her activity level to even things out so this is okay by me, but other owners may not want this).

This all gives me pause, and while I won’t be changing brands unless I stop seeing the digestive results, I do think it’s worth doing your own research and considering the pros and cons against your individual cat’s situation.

The vet put Whitney on Hills Prescription Diet chow for sensitive stomachs. It helped somewhat but was incredibly expensive ($90+ a bag compared to $15 a bag for Meow Mix, larger bag). Then the supply ran out during Covid.

We had to feed him regular cat food. Lately he has been getting his diarrhea again. We switched Whitney to this “Gentle” stomach chow – the best news is it is working – Whitney no longer has diarrhea and is a lot happier, purrs more, etc.

It is working better than the Hills Prescription Diet ever did. The second best news is that while this costs more than Meow Mix, only a little more, nothing like the “Prescription” catfood.

i purchased this food from our local grocery store but figured i could share our experience with it. we have been trying to find another dry grain free or sensitive tummies after their meow mix grain free was discontinued.

we switched to grain free and sensitive tummies after 3 years of trying to find a food that would agree with all 6 cats especially our little female who has been plagued with tummy issues for most of her little life she just turned 4.

we purchased this gentle formula on a whim because we are running out of options for these guys. i mixed their old food and this one 50/50 for the first bowl and they liked it the second bowl i did just this food and they still like it and during the 10 or so days on it our little female Peanut had no tummy upset hoping it will last and the other 5 had zero issues, even mr picky Booger who we have fought with him over eating since day 1, no one can figure out what his issue is.

and he ate this stuff and it seems that it filled him up and no issues. my rating of 3 is solely based on our kitties being on it for less than a month. and apparently these guys like the cheaper food taste wise.

so after the food we have is almost gone i will be picking up a few bags of the cat chow gentle. we get about 30lbs of dry food and 150 cans of wet food per month so finding a food they like and have no issues with that is also cost comparison wise the same as their previous food is great.

I remember my Mom feeding our cats this choice when I was somewhere in my teens. I’m now in my late 60’s, so Super Supper has been around, I believe for decades. Not sure if the ingredients are still the same, but it seems to have held up through the years.

Compared to many other brands of cat food, this food is bargain priced. I feed two feral colonies of cats on a regular basis, so need something affordable for them. This has been out of stock for awhile, but came back in recently, so I decided to invest in a couple of cases.

I’m glad I did. I have an 18 year old rather fussy female cat who really hasn’t been eating well of late. She’s gotten quite thin, even with the help of various supplements. I have put so much money into high end selections, everything from Nacho cups, Applaws, and Fancy Feast broths, that she barely touches.

I decided to let her try some of this cheap stuff. Frankly, I was shocked when she started eating it quite hardily! I’m very pleased whenever she is able to get something down. Glad to have stumbled onto this choice again!.

I raise pedigreed cats who are not spoiled and will eat any food I give them, including this one. The complaints I see are people who have spoiled their cats on food. This is a good food,. It has been tested to be very clean on contaminants.

The cans are steel and not lined with BPA. I also see people complaining about how hard it is to wash the can. Throw the can away! It’s garbage! Who washes garbage!?.

My cats really like this beef entre offered by Pro Plan. I have now had it on their rotational menu for about a year. When they were first served it, they ate every single bite. There are 5 of them and every night they are served 6 or 7 three ounce cans plus a can of Friskies, just so they do not get too spoiled.

After a year, they have decided that there are other beef offerings that they prefer, oddly enough, it is the plainer and less costly Friskies wet food. So, I have given this only 4 stars. Now, you know kitties and how their tastes can change, so it may be that the beef carrots and rice may rise up to be a favorite again.

However, I leave this at 4 stars because, cat cannot digest carbohydrates. So the carrots and rice look nice, but they are really in the mix to make the owner feel good. In reality, the carrots and rice add nothing to the health of the cat.

But, even after a year, they do eat it and do like it and that is way better than most foods do. So, I do recommend it and hope your kitties like it as well as mine.

I just want to firstly compliment Pet Circle on their awesome service. I ordered this kibble as my kitten is about to outgrow the Royal Canin Mother and Baby Cat food and with my kitten being a Maine Coon, I wanted to start her nutrition off right. At the time of writing this review, Pet Circle is the only company to offer this food which I am extremely grateful for.

At first, my kitten, who will be 4 months old next week, was a little reluctant to eat as the kibble size is a little larger than she is used to, but after putting some wet food with it, she was more than happy to eat a 40g serving.

She now loves it and for some reason, particularly likes the “crunch” the kibble makes when she eats! 😹 I highly recommend Pet Circle and this food to get your Maine Coon off to a good start in life.

Royal Canin foods have never failed to impress and keep my cats happy.

I bought this food for my Maine C cat because it’s a larger kibble, and it’s the solution for cats who swallow food whole and hack it back up. My Maine C likes it, but he will eat anything. The real surprise is my slightly-wild-barncat-stock shorthair tabby Winston who insisted, INSISTED on eating this food as a tiny kitten.

He was hacking up his kitten kibbles and grew afraid of dry food. He then started eating from my Maine C’s dish and wouldn’t eat anything else. I read that cats sometimes like the sensation of crunching bones, and that’s the impression I get when I watch Winston eat.

He never hacks up these kibbles, they are the size of a dog kibble almost. They contain Omega 3 oils to help with Maine C tendency to hip arthritis, and have a slightly fishy odor. Winston is now 5 years old and has never eaten another kibble.

He gets angry if I try to introduce anything else. My cats get a bit of wet food too, but because of this quality kibble I can spend less on the wet food. My Maine C gets a second kibble because he eats anything and that stretches the bag some, it’s pricey.

I’m terrified they will stop making this, I don’t know what I would do. During the lockdowns I ordered backup bags in case of shortages but luckily we didn’t have any. My cats have shiny fur with a plushy undercoat.

If your cat hacks up kibble, give this a try. You can get auto ship at places like Chewy and save a little.

Royal Canin recently had to shut down because of Covid and the result was that alot of their foods were unavailable. A Chewy Rep suggested I try this style since it was the same thing in different packaging.

My girl loves the canned variety of this cat food but the packaging can change the texture if not the taste. I put it down for her and she sniffed it and dove right in! I’m glad that I know I have something to fall back on but I’m also glad the cans are available again.

This food has a nice look and texture and is very moist. It also smells good which is unusual in pet foods generally. Royal Canin tends to be more expensive than other brands but my girl can be a bit finnicky and there’s never been a time that she didn’t eat this – from the can or the pouch.

Taking this into consideration, I’m spending a little more for food I know she’ll eat rather than spending less and throwing alot of it away.
