20 Best Cat Joint Supplement (2022 Updated)

I’d like to preface this by saying my cat has been overweight her entire life and it has been an ongoing weight loss battle, and came to me front declawed. So I was well aware that she’d already be at very high risk for arthritis so she’d already been on cosequin for a number of years before I switched to dasuquin, boy do I wish I’d done it sooner.

My 14 year old 15 pound cat needed to be redirected to her stairs numerous times because she just felt GOOD. She had jumped on my bed TWICE. That hadn’t happened in years and years. For her the switch was absolutely necessary and I’m so glad I made it.

Although my cat was a pain about eating the chewables at first she eventually got over it and eats them fine now, and I’ve got the sprinkle capsules for next time. :).

My cat has been using the capsule version of Dasuquin for a couple years. I was mixing it into her wet food, but a lot of times she leaves food behind because she doesn’t like the taste. Because she’s super picky, I assumed she wouldn’t like these chews.

To my surprise, she loves them! She has no teeth, so I break up the chew into 4 pieces and she has no problem gobbling them down. So thankful that the chew version is available! When she takes this supplement, her limp disappears, so I’m glad it’s making her more comfortable.

Please never stop selling these!! Dasuquin works best for my cat who’s a tripod, and its such a hassle having to mix the capsules into his food every day. The treats make it so much easier, and he gets so excited for them every day! My cat is food motivated so it might not work for every cat, but if your cat likes treats then they will most likely like these.

They are about the size of a piece of kibble and are semi-firm but soft. As long as you seal the bag properly they won’t get hard or stale.

We used the Glycoflex Plus for several years for our English bulldog. It helped him tremendously and added years of quality life. he had early hip and back issues. After trying several products, this is the only one that gave him his life back.

We now have a 3-year-old Boston Terrier and a 2-year-old French bulldog. We had such good luck with the Glycoflex Plus helping our bulldog that we decided to try this less advanced formula as a preventative type for the younger ones.

Of course they do not need the more advanced plus line yet. I feel like these supplements work and are safe. Just give with food. And don’t give up. It took giving every day and not missing any just like the bag says based on weight.

You start seeing improvements. some probably sooner than others. with our guy, it took several weeks and we never missed a dose after. and saw more and more improvement. Give it a little time. It takes time for joints to break down so of course it will take time to build them back up.

We really like this product. Our one dog, Lad, was hit by a car as a puppy before we adopted him. He’s had various surgeries during his lifetime on that leg and most recently ACL surgery for the other leg.

We know Lad needed extra help to keep his joints healthy and working properly. We want him to enjoy his life, be happy and healthy. At 13 he is doing pretty darn good and Glycoflex is one reason why.

Our other dog, Charlie, also adopted, is only 3 but she has an extra long back. She likes to jump around and stand up on her hind legs which we try to discourage because of her back. We anticipate joint problems down the line so Charlie also gets Glycoflex for preventative reasons.

Too soon to tell with Charlie but we know Glycoflex has helped Lad and we are confident it will help Charlie too.

My 8 year old Corgi-GSD mix was developing a limp in her hindquarters, fearful of jumping up on her chair and on our beds. She took to sleeping on her blankets on the floor which didn’t help her pain.

I started her on Glycoflex Classic on the recommendation of our veterinarian. After only 10 days, Lexie is back to lounging on the couch, jumping up on her chair and to my surprise jumping up in my bed in the morning! She spends more time playing fetch and spends more time running on the property! I’ve had to scrap the plan for getting Lexie doggie steps in favor of a new blanket for her to lie on when we’re watching scary programs before bedtime! Lexie doesn’t seem to mind the taste of the tablets.

My male cat is 15 now & we need to get him some joint support going. Trying to find him something he’ll eat has been, well, a pain in the food bowl. These looked promising but bc they are a chicken flavor, that meant you could only have that favor of wet food to put them in AND would have to feed him that wet food every day.

Not for my big guy. He likes variety and he picked it out right away that we put it in there if it wasn’t mixed up really well. Not worth it if we can’t mix it in anything he likes. Stuck w just one kind of wet food? Who wants that? Good product? Maybe it would’ve worked.

Just wasn’t able to get that far. Now he’s on palliative care bc we’ve found out he has cancer, bad osteoarthritis and other health issues. Still needs that sort of supplements but we’re making sure it’s something he’ll enjoy in his final time here with us.

My youngest cat that I just adopted was diagnosed by the vet with having a luxated patella which concerned me greatly I was looking very long term as to what this is going to be when she is much older.

My vet didn’t want to do surgery just yet because she isn’t even a year old yet so he told me to try this and to see if I see any results. Well is has been 2 weeks, 2 WEEKS! and I hardly notice that knee cap popping in and out anymore.

She runs, plays and jumps down off of the highest places she can find! I know I was supposed to keep her from doing that the best I could but we all know how kittens are it’s darn near impossible unless you lock them in a crate which is not happening.

I have 4 senior rescue cats, oldest is 15, the others are 12, and two 9-year old sisters. I’ve been giving the oldest Cosequin for 3-4 yrs now per the Vets suggestion, because she stopped jumping up on the bed, & also was very grouchy.

She now acts like a kitten when she’s had her dose, zooming around & jumping wherever she wants. I have since started the 12 yr old on it, & then the other day, one of the 9 yr olds was limping slightly, (she probly landed wrong or something).

I started giving it to her a couple months ago & the limp is gone. I can’t say enough good things about it! I’m seriously considering starting myself on human glucosamine/chondroitin supplements for my own arthritis! Other ppl I’ve talked to swear by it.

I ended up finding this at a local health food store after my female tabby started displaying seasonal allergy symptoms. I was skeptical, but gave it a try—and wow!! Her symptoms were GREATLY reduced when fed these tablets through the spring and into midsummer.

It’s super easy to mix into her food, too. I just crush them and mix the powder in with her morning can of wet food. She either doesn’t notice or actually enjoys the taste! No hassle and works as advertised.

Absolutely ecstatic when I found these on Chewy! Now, I don’t have to worry about running out this year :).

NOW PETS CARDIOVASCULAR SUPPORT GREAT PRODUCT! My cat, who is 10 years old this July, had a heart murmur a year ago which was rated about a 5. Vet said I should take my cat to have an echocardiogram to see how the heart is & what was causing the murmur.

My cat had the echocardiogram which turned out fine, no medication was given to her from Dr. who performed the echo. I showed him this bottle of NOW Cardiovascular support, he told me to keep her on it as it is recommended by a vet.

He said to come back next year for a recheck. An echocardiogram cost $700. 1 year later I took my cat for her physical, her heart murmur could hardly be heard now. I asked my primary vet if my cat would need another echocardiogram & she said no, the murmur is faint & the report from the Dr.

who did her echocardiogram, said that her heart was fine. Since she’s been on this supplement, she seems to be feeling alot better, she’s frisky now, which I haven’t seen her like that in quite a while.

My pit mix Coco is 9 years old and in the past year has started having joint issues. The vet ruled out bone cancer thankfully and sees some mild arthritis developing. She LOVES being outside and going for long walks and she will show no signs of discomfort until we get inside and then she sometimes after a 40 min walk can’t get up to eat her shoulder or wrist hurt so bad.

She had rounds of adequan injections to stop the progression of the arthritis. They wanted her on deramaxx or rimadyl which is hard on the liver and if I give it every day she needs blood work to ensure no liver or kidney damage.

I didn’t want her to be in pain, but I also do not want to jeopardize her organs! Even the vet said he doesn’t like dogs on it, but he also doesn’t want to see them in pain. She was overweight and he said at least 50% of the problem would go away if she lost weight and to do that change her food and walk 20 minutes twice a day.

How do you walk a dog that long when they start limping in pain even if they don’t care?? I couldn’t do it. I was so desperate for something to work that wasn’t as harmful as the prescription meds. Well, we achieved weight loss goals (yay!!) but I started her on this prior to reaching those goals and OMG I was BLOWN AWAY.

They say guaranteed to see improvement in two weeks…. I started seeing improvement after a week!! She could go on longer walks and could still come back and stand up to eat! It wasn’t an overnight miracle, but it was an improvement.

There were a couple times she was doing so well and not limping any more after exercise that I thought maybe it’s the weight and not the supplement so I stopped giving this. EVERY time I stop giving this to her a week later she starts to limp again and have trouble getting up from laying down.

This stuff works better than I ever could imagine. I’m able to not give her prescription meds for arthritis and only have to use them on super bad days which maybe at most is once a month if that and is often when I’ve skipped days of this supplement.

I’ve been giving my dog the Liquid-Vet chicken flavor for a few months now and just started on a third bottle. I have a 10 pound, 14. 5 year old miniature pinscher and he started having some trouble walking late last year.

We took him to a neurologist and they ran some diagnostics and they discovered multiple bulging intervertebral discs in his neck. By January he was practically not able to walk at all and we were worried he was not going to have a good quality of life.

Through word of mouth on a pet forum, I learned of Liquid Vet, and it was praised as a big help to some dogs that have had issues with walking. I started giving my dog the Liquid Vet in Feb 2022, around the same time that we changed his medications and started physical therapy.

So I can’t say for certain that the Liquid Vet is the main reason for this improvement, but I think it’s definitely contributed in a positive way. My dog loves the taste of the Liquid Vet and I find the dosing to be very simple and easy and like that it adds some hydration to his kibble.

Liquid-Vet is a life saver for your precious babies! First off, we have been giving this to our 3 dogs for over a year now! Ok, we have a Chiweenie and she’s 12yrs old. One day she just wasn’t as active as she used to be and then she just stopped moving around.

Of course, it scared us and the last thing we could afford was sending her to the vet. So, I recommended to my husband, why don’t we try vitamins and THANK YOU Sweet Jesus we found this stuff! THIS STUFF IS AMAZING! Within 2 weeks (yes, 2 wks NOT months!!!) she started moving around again and now she acts just like her old self! IF I could give this stuff 100 stars, I would! We now give it to our Dappled Dachshund (M-10yrs) and their pup (M-9yrs) bc we want them to be healthy too.

So, if your concerned about your dogs heatlh, I HIGHLY recommend this product! As a matter of fact, I even tell people about this stuff when I’m out and about and if I see them with an old or small dog bc this stuff saved our babies life! Yes, I REALLY believe that! I purchased this kidney liquid gold for my dog Lucas back in February. Lucas had stage 2 kidney disease and was diagnosed in October he would be healthy for a month and then have really almost end of life moments for about 5 days so we would try pedialyte, probiotics appetite stimulants because he wouldn’t want to eat and was really depressed he was urinating and Drinking a lot of water so I was extremely attentive of him and then he would bounce back about a week later.

Lucas also had heart disease and had been taking medication for about almost 2 years. My Lucas was 17 years old and the last 6 months were a roller coaster with his health but he kept fighting he was so strong and I kept helping him with everything from medication to food and anything he wanted or needed to be comfortable.

He took one deep breath in my sisters arms at 7:35 am and his beautiful soul left his sick and tired body. ❤️ What comes after this is the reason why I am mainly writing this review, as I didn’t get to truly experience the liquid gold I’m sure it would’ve worked if I found it sooner or his kidney disease didn’t progress so fast but I have to understand that Lucas was 17 and he fought so hard every time on his own to continue living watching him loose his eyesight amongst many other things and still being brave to continue his daily routine was something I will never forget and truly amazing to witness and be part of loving someone so much.

I eventually reached out to customer care to see if I could return the product to them because I didn’t want it to go to waste and truly rather have another pet use it since it was basically brand new.

I explained to them what had happened and they told me they would process a refund and I didn’t have to return it to them. This was so kind of them and I thanked them because they really didn’t have to do this but it goes to show what kind of ethics they have within their company.

About 2 weeks later I just received a beautiful card from pet well being about my loss and it really made me feel so special and truly the best customer experience I’ve ever received. I just want to say thank you! Loosing Lucas has been really hard but watching him suffer and be so not himself anymore was definitely harder to watch and for my angel to go through that it wasn’t fair to him he was the best companion and friend in my life.

He will always be and he is missed every day my house is so lonely and quiet. Lucas is now with my dad and his cousin oso who passed when he was 13. I know my Lucas is happy and young again❤️ Thank you again at everyone at pet well-being!!.

My female started “snorting/snoring ” noises since we moved into a new home and area. She’s always has a slight nasal sound when she sniffed things when we first adopted her at age two but it was getting worst.

It was so loud that some nights when she came into the bedroom I could her her sitting at the door of the room!!!! The Vet had thought it was asthma at first, and asked why it wasn’t in her records from her previous Vet, well because she didn’t have asthmas that’s why ,and I I kept telling him it was a nasal sound, finally on her last visit he heard hear snorting/snoring and admitted it was a nasal issue and not a lung issue.

I had also gotten a newsletter from one of my cat magazines that mentioned sometimes “snoring” wasn’t just snoring but either a nasal polyp or swollen/mucus from allergies, which I had told him from the beginning months and months ago.

It was NOT a wheezing from her chest but a snoring from her nose as I kept trying to tell him which is my my last Vet didn’t have it in her records that were sent to the new clinic. I had been with my previous Vet over 20 years and trusted her.

The Vet had put her on Antibiotics and Steroids twice and it worked but as he said she can’t keep doing that as it can lead to pancreatitis and diabetes, neither do I want. but it was painful to listen to her nasal sounds.

I would find the injections would wear off in about a month and a half. I was praying it wasn’t a polyp as those need invasive surgery but it responded to the Vet’s injections so I figured it was more a mucus issue that a polyp issue thankfully.

I saw an ad for Nettel-Brightright in one of my Petwellbeing news letters as I had signed up when the Vet said he thought it was asthma so I had tried the throat and lung drops, but it wasn’t clearing up, and figured I had nothing to lose, Finally her snorting/snoring has become so much less as I continue to give her the Nettle-Eyebright Gold drops and most days nothing at all, I’m hoping it will continue long after her last injection wear off as I do not want her getting Pancreatitis.

The Vet and I are still trying to figure out what she might be having an allergic reactions to, he even suggested having the home’s ducts cleaned which we did it helped a bit but not as much as we’d hoped.

We figure there must be different pollens in the new location that we didn’t have at the last one and we plan to have the carpets cleaned in the spring when we can take them to the RV while it’s being done.

I am just grateful I have found something to help her and won’t have to risk her health with more steroid shots and the allergy medications I have read up on have some very serious side effects, so I want to avoid them if possible too.

My big gentle boy had stopped eating and he wasn’t drinking much he was sleeping a lot and very lethargic. He was diagnosed with early stage kidney disease 😞 the vet suggested I move him to a kidney diet.

Of course he hated it and wouldn’t touch it. I trawled the internet and came across this site and the Kidney Support Gold, after reading all the positive reviews I ordered a bottle. Sadly he wouldn’t touch it,I think it was the strong bacon smell that put him off.

He was hardly eating anything and another trip to the vets showed he had lost quite a bit of weight, the vet gave him medication to help his nausea and appetite and said that if he didn’t perk up he would have to go in for a scan on his other organs.

This worried me because he gets very stressed at the vets. I don’t know how it happened but I came across some Webbox Lick-e-Lix chicken yogurt paste thing. I popped some in a dish not expecting much and he slurped it up within seconds 😳 I added the drops to the paste and again he slurped the lot 😃 I have nice little routine now, he has his drops on his paste in a morning followed by 2 small pouches of Sheba cat food and 15g of biscuits.

He has some more drops on paste at around 7-7. 30pm and he has some more wet food and then I leave his dish out overnight with a fresh pouch in which has usually disappeared by the morning. He’s having around 200 cals a day which is right for his weight and size.

I can tell he’s put the weight back on that he had lost. He’s not drinking from his fountain but he’s not dehydrated due to the moisture in his wet food. ( he used to predominantly eat biscuits before ) He’s more or less back to his normal self, he’s eating and playing just liked he used to I have my Louie back The vet said him eating the kidney food is the best scenario but him eating any food is better than none so at the moment after a lot of trial and error and lots of money spent on vet bills and different foods I think we have a good routine as long as he keeps slurping the drops.

They have without a doubt helped him and I will carry on giving them to him. He’s due another blood test at the end of October so I am hoping it shows that the disease hasn’t got any worse. Please don’t ever stop making this x.

I just started this supplement for my arthritic cat. I’ve read reviews on it and decided to give it a try before going with the option on Adequan injections with his vet. It’s too soon to give a fair review on this product yet, but I would like to say that Nutramax, the company that manufactures this supplement and others that Chewy’s sells, is a wonderful company with wonderful customer service and on site veterinarian backed support.

If you have questions about Dasuquin or any other supplements made by Nutramax, you should not hesitate to call them directly. They are a most pleasant company, knowledgeable of their products and have the added bonus of a veterinarian on site to further help with any questions that the person taking your call cannot fully help you with.

I’ve called them on several occasions and get the same courteous service every time and always end my call with my questions fully addressed and answered to my satisfaction. It’s an excellent company.

My kitty has only been on the Dasuquin for about two weeks, so I couldn’t give a fair testimonial at this point. It’s recommended to give at least 4 weeks at two capsules per day according to his weight, which is 11 pounds, before beginning to see results.

His weight is normal for size. We did try Cosequin, but that was actually when he had his urinary blockage surgery and was recommended for that. I continued the Cosequin for quite awhile afterwards just because of his arthritis, but didn’t see any noticeable improvement, so I stopped giving it to him.

He’s also on a good krill oil supplement and that has multiple benefits, so we’re staying with that. I hope I can report back that the Dasuquin has been successful, I’ll let you all know. Good luck and best wishes.

After reading all the reviews over the last few years and trying my (now) 13 year old cat that had developed arthritis in her front paw I decided after briefly trying it on and off to give it a committed effort twice a day.

She was on antibiotics for quite a bit dealing with UTI issues and I didn’t want to overload her at the time. After she got a negative result on her culture I started the Dasuquin again. I give it to her in her urinary food which is very moist in the morning and at night and have no problem getting it down.

In one month we have seen miraculous results. She is going up and down the stairs without hesitation, jumping off of her condo etc without the fear she had before and is like a different kitty. I can only highly recommend this product for anyone that has pets with joint issues and the arthritis was so painful for her.

She is purring again and acting like her old self before these issues with the arthritis started. ‘ I felt I had to add to all the rest of the positive reviews for anyone that doesn’t know how helpful and what a great product this is.

With the UTI in check and her positive results with the Dasuquin it is like a miracle seeing the difference and positive results. Best product ever!.

My cat has been limping consistently for almost a year, without a clear reason why. A vet recommended this product for her and said it would work regardless of the cause of the limping. I was definitely skeptical but after about 5 weeks Lucy is limping a LOT less and is far more active, and is using her box more regularly.

She is only 2 years old so this is very exciting. Here is what I do: I empty out 1 pill and mix it with 1 half-oz tube of Churu or Tiki Cat treat. She gets this once a day and has been for the past 5 weeks.

The vet recommended an onloading period where the supplement builds up in her system, so once that is done (another 5 weeks) she will get 1 pill every other day. I am skeptical about supplements in general but I am really happy with this product and plan to keep Lucy on it long-term.

I have a 10-year-old Labrador. She has always had digestive problems since she was a puppy. We’ve tried different foods, digestive supplements, and even different medications with no success. I’ve been using connectin for years. My dog (older pittie) has (new) arthritis in one leg and a metal plate on the other knee (TPLO surgery from 8 years ago). I can tell that when she’s not on this supplement she limps more and is obviously experiencing more pain.

When she’s on the supplement regularly she lips considerably less. It works! I’ve had nutritionist look at it and they said other than the flavor added to it this is something that humans could even take.

I’ll probably use this supplement for the rest of my dogs life. My dog has a chicken allergy by the way, and connection in the powder form is the only chicken free version. Just a heads up if your dog has a chicken allergy! :).

I discovered this wonderful product towards the end of two of my golden s’ lives. They were ten and hurting from stiff joints. The canine connectin brought them a lot of comfort and returned mobility their last three years.

My other golden was 4 when I started him on it, and is now seven, and I can see a much better health of his joints as he is aging compared to my first two fur babies. My current boy does not like the tastes of the powder in his food, so I mis it in with two spoonfuls of canned pumpkin and he gobbled it right up.

I’ve been using this for a few years now and it really helps my old Labrador with her arthritis. She is nearly 12 and still running around like she was 5 years younger! She is less stiff and moves around more easily when she is taking Technyflex.

I highly recommend this product.

My 15 yr old cat had started limping and creeping slowly up the steps. The vet recommended glucosamine, but she wouldn’t eat the treats. Another reviewer recommended this liquid version. My cat is too finicky to eat it mixed with her food, so I took the suggestion to just apply it directly on her fur.

She would them then proceed to clean herself, ingesting the medicine. Within a few days she was running up the stairs again. I don’t remember to apply it daily, but she does not limp as long as I dose her evey other day.

This will also help this small bottle to last longer. I will definitely buy this again.

After doing some research I wanted to get a supplement for my senior dog. This was recommended by The BK Shop. The bottle is way larger than I expected. Think big Hydroflask/Yeti water bottle sized. I think it’s worth the price and he doesn’t mind this in his food.

I haven’t been using this long enough to see any differences in his joints but if I can update this later I will. The ingredients are common in hip and joint supplements and at higher concentrations so I expect this to last a while!.

My extremely picky 9 year old Yorkie will not take any of the joint supplements that my other senior dogs take which are recommended by the vet. She will spit out every chewable, even if hidden in food.

At her checkup, the vet said that she really needs to start up on something and the chicken glucosamine joint treats that she will eat are probably not getting the benefits to her joints. Thank goodness for this liquid Glucosamine from Paramount Pet Health! I can squirt a dose in her mouth before we go downstairs for breakfast and she won’t hate me.

While she doesn’t enjoy it or accept it readily, she will tolerate it. I test tasted it and it’s not horrible. We will continue to use this for little miss picky!.

It took about 3 weeks to work. Ive used it before on other cats with immediate results. Keely had been listless, withdrawn and depressed acting , not able to jump up on things and I could tell it was really bothering her mentally.

After the cosequin kicked in, she has continued to improve–about 6 weeks now. Kitten like energy, much more interactive, got her jumping ability back, zoomies , and she actually lost weight which was needed.

I dont know how that worked –maybe more activity but she looked like a ham with legs before and she just seems to be dropping weight and has definition now. She’s 8. I tried this on another cat I have–he’s big–a norwegian forest cat with a sensitive digestive tract and after a couple weeks he was really perked up but he then got lethargic and diarrhea and when I stopped it those symptoms went away.

So it doesnt work the same for all cats but a good product and certainly worth a try.

My 18yr-old cat dislocated her back leg and ended up with serious joint damage. She absolutely would not take her pain meds no matter what/how. After ditching the pain pills and starting Cosequin, I immediately started noticing improvements in mobility.

Recovery was still long, but she has since lost her limp and is back to her old self. I have kept it a permanent part of her daily “treat”. I have purchased A LOT of vitamin supplements. My purchase right before this was a powder that smelled SO bad my Basset Hounds wouldn’t touch their food. I’ve also had them on SeaMeal for years-but they still shed everywhere.

My senior pup loves them and I noticed a real difference when I screw up and forgot to order again. The turmeric really helps manage the inflammation of his aging joints. Loved finding higher dosage of glucosamine, chondroitin and turmeric per pill, so I don’t go through them so quickly.

Neither of my cats will eat these tablets, even if I break them into tiny pieces. I think they may smell / taste too strong, as their smoky scent is extremely strong even to my nose. I do hoped these would work.

I think a dog would probably not hesitate to eat them, though!.

My 8 month old CH kitty LOVES these treats. they’re chewier and a little gummier than most treats, so it takes him a little longer to eat them, but that doesn’t stop him. They can also be easily cut into smaller pieces with a butter knife, or broken apart with your fingers.

—————————————————————————————-Because of his condition, he has an unsteady gait, falls down a lot, and has poor motor control especially with his hind legs. So he definitely has stiffness in his joints from all of his tumbles and bad landings.

i know arthritis and hip problems are in his future, and wanted to get ahead of it. We’ve been giving him 2 of these a day for almost a month and he definitely seems less stiff when he walks and “jumps”.

(He sort of “kangaroo” hops onto and off of furniture). He seems to be sticking his landings a little better too. I know that as he is growing , getting stronger, and is adapting, he can control the way his body moves a bit better due to building muscle, but it does seem like these treats help him with some of the joint soreness/stiffness at the very least.

——————————————————————————————there was a 1 week period when we stopped giving him any supplements (including these treats ) because they were being treated for giardia and worms and had runny stool (they came to use very sick and are on the mend) , and during that time he seemed to start getting more stiff again, but then we started it back up and he’s a little more limber now.

It could be a coincidence, but i think it’s worth mentioning. ———————————————————————————————-my vet did say that cosequin can actually cause constipation in cats, so it’s something to be mindful of.

————————————————————————————-In addition to their dry food We feed our young cats wet food 2x a day and add spring water to their food for added moisture, and we have the drinkwell fountain (the one with the ceramic ball), which has been a huge game changer in getting them to drink water, so constipation has not been an issue for us as of now.

My 5 year old cat fractured her hip 4 years ago. She healed but started limping really bad a last month so I took her to my vet. Now she has Arthritis in her hip and joints. He gave me Nutramax Cosequin Soft Chews and said to give her 2 each day.

She is walking much better and doing great, jumping off furniture again. I will have to give these to her for rest of her life but she loves them, thank goodness. My 11 year old cat also has Arthritis from aging, and my vet said to give her 2 Cosequin Soft Chews very day also.

Can’t hurt, it will only help with her Arthritis. They have to take 2 each day because both cats are over 10lbs. My 5 year old is 20lbs. and my 11 year old is 19lbs. Also, if they dont want to eat them at first, my vet gave me a bag of Greenies Feline Pill Pockets to put the Nutramax Cosequin Chews in to offer to my cats.

I tried that too, but both cats like the Cosequin chews without the Pill Pockets. I do break the Chews in half to chew better, when I give them the chews. They love them, thinks they are treats.

I bought these for the oldest of my three cats, who seemed to be jumping less and having more trouble getting around as of late. It hasn’t really been long enough to know how well they work, but he does seem to be more comfortable since we started these.

Though it hasn’t been long enough to gauge full efficacy, I can say that the taste and texture is a huge hit! My old man gets the full 2 chews per day and the younger two get a half dose so they don’t feel left out.

All three of them go crazy when I shake the bag and have not gotten tired of them yet, which happens all to often with other chewy treats I’ve tried. The consistency is also much softer and chewier than some of the other ones I’ve tried, which makes it easier for my old boy to eat as he had some teeth removed a couple of years ago.

I have two cats, neither paid any attention to the caps so I smeared bovril on them then one cat licked them. Once he got the idea he licked them until they were gone which only took a few hours. They had no smell at all so I wasn’t surprised they were not interested in them.

I was expecting them to be more “natural” I have no idea what they are made of but looked and felt very synthetic. As one cat did use them, I have given 3 stars but I won’t be buying them again. They were very small, about the size of a large grape, so I felt poor value.

Not sure if it helps as my toy poodle isn’t limping or anything, I’m giving it as per recommendation of my vet. She gave me a very expensive veterinary product, capsules with a powder that my girl didn’t like so I found this product at a much cheaper price and with the same ingredients from a well known manufacturer.

Plus my girl likes these. I’ll never know if the tablets will make a difference when it comes to joint deterioration in the future but at least I’m trying to help prevent future problems.
