20 Best Cat Kicker Toy (2022 Updated)

Before I even took this toy out of the package, my cats were all over the box!! Seriously they were so interested before they even knew what it was lol! I think it’s a super adorable toy and my cats went absolutely wild over it! Whatever your cat likes, this toy has! I have 6 cats, and all of them wanted a turn! My one cat goes absolutely NUTS for feathers, which this toy has, there’s also a sparkly horn, some faux fur, curly stretchy ribbons, and a crinkly inside! It fits every category.

The catnip in it is super strong, like I said my cats knew what it was before I even unpackaged it! Sometimes I have to hide it from them because they just won’t chill out haha! Also it’s made sturdy and holds up really well, my cats have tried so hard to destroy this thing, and even after rough playing for a whole year, it’s still together just fine! It is a bit dingy, but still very impressive, and my cats love it very much! Go with Hartz for kitty toys! They know what they’re doing!.

Our senior cat didn’t care for any toys, absolutely nothing. I randomly picked up this kicker and at first, she didn’t pay a bit of attention to it. Slowly she started showing interest then suddenly was all out playing with it! Her play time was always short but she loved her pink unicorn and would play for about 30 minutes daily.

This quickly became her “baby” and she would love on it, sleep with it, play as a kitten kicking znd rough housing with it. During her last days, when so sick, this unicorn still brought a little playful joy to her.

We even took it with us when it was time to say goodbye and Miss Prissy laid her head on it as she passed, it brought comfort to her. For a cat who never played with anything, this unicorn kicker was a favorite! I have since purchased a purple unicorn and a bird for our other cats and they love the toys just as much! It’s very well made and super cute, the feathers stay on quite well considering it’s a cat toy.

I normally get small toys like balls or mice, but after seeing my cats play with the Magic Unicorn I see that this really is the perfect toy to play with. My kitty KitKat, loves hugging and using her back legs to kick when she’s playing.

OH, and bitting! Bitting seems to be her favorite thing, now she can bit and kick her unicorn instead of my arm! The inside is filled with Silver Vine and catnip to get them interested. I really do recommend that if you have cats, don’t be put off by the size and get this for them! It’s another way for cats to play other than chasing balls and mice.

I received this toy and my girl seemed to know it was for her! I barely got it unwrapped as she was doing her best to hurry me up. She was so interested and so excited, that I nearly had a finger severed in my attempt’s to inspect the quality of this whimsical creation! After I tossed it quickly on the floor and checked for any wounds suffered on my hands, no wounds just a claw prick, my moody beautiful baby went happy crazy on this toy! I wasn’t even given the chance to remove the tags!! I managed to obtain some video of the enjoyment she had.

Play lasted longer than with her other plain toys! Once she was plum tuckered out from her aggressive play I was able to inspect the Unicorn for quality. It had great stich work! Had. My cat, Icka, pulled a stich loose from the eye.

The body Is, made of a Very durable canvas like material. No puncture from her claws could be noticed on Unicorns body! The curly ribbons on the tail are bright and stayed in tact. The colorful feathers on the tail are Still intact! The bell sounds really get her attention still to this day! We/She, truly loves the crinkle of the body and will come in seconds to seemingly say, with a stare down, That’s, My, Unicorn! Thank~you for letting, uhem, Us, try it out, Hartz! My cat, Miya, was never really a big fan of toys. She would play with them for literally 5-10 seconds and get bored of them. I’m not sure if it’s just because she has a short attention span or just not super playful.

My bf says she’s not even interested in catnip. We just gave up on buying new toys for her since it’s a waste of money. BUT when I read about this toy and how silver vine can be stimulating even for cats like ours, I got super intrigued and excited for her.

I was trying not to have high expectations since she’s a tough one to entertain, but this was a free sample to try so why not? She immediately took to it and was acting like we’ve never seen before! She kept chinning and drooling around the neck.

She was even biting and cat kicking it! I think she liked the feathers and ribbons but she was mainly focusing on the neck. It was ah-may-zing!!! She played for it for maybe 20 minutes, which is a long play sesh for her, since she usually gets tired of toys within seconds.

My bf & I loved watching her play since we haven’t seen her this playful since she was a kitten (she’s turning 11 soon). Thank you, Hartz! You have given us joy and hope that our kitkat will play more.

Our cats have a new toy, without a doubt. They have taken to this toy and my only concern is if it happens to get lost at some point and not being able to find a suitable replacement. My complaint with this toy is the sound and it might be very irritating to some people, but the cats absolutely love it.

The design is fun and quality seems to be quite good. It has held up well to significant play time with both adult and adolescent cats. It’s a cute design, so it’s not something that I mind having in the middle of the floor if company happens to drop by unexpectedly.

If you’re looking for something new to entertain your cats, I’d definitely recommend giving this a try. I’m sure that our cats will continue to enjoy it for a very long time.

Very pleasantly surprised. You can’t expect a whole lot from cat toys purchased online, this carrot toy is very big, is made of quality materials and is made to last. My cats were thrilled with it It is large enough for them to snuggle with, it is loaded with catnip and is stuffed with material that crackles every time it’s touched.

What more could a cat ask for! In the future I’ll be purchasing more pet toys from this seller and I can honestly give the toy and the seller 5 stars and highly recommend both seller and carrot cat toy.

I bought this toy about a month ago as a post-New Year gift for my kittens. My boy DESTROYED it in less than one day! I was fooled by the tough-looking synthetic fabric; he chewed a couple of huge holes in it, and now the catnip is leaking out onto the floor.

It was expensive, so I am going to try to salvage it by making a denim cover for it. Do NOT be fooled like I was, save your money and get creative. In general, I am finding that most commercially-produced cat toys DO NOT LAST.

The companies are more interested in getting you to buy more and more replacements than they are in making a good quality toy that will last.

We got a new tripod kitten recently and I wanted some new catnip toys for her, since her older sister prefers chasing/string toys rather than balls or other types of physical toys. I knew we’d have to test out everything under the sun to find her preferred play method and these are a hit (so much so she jumps onto and off of the bed at 2am with it in her mouth…which is not as fun for us but I love it for her).

She is tiny (5lbs) and will run around with it in her mouth or bat it around/roll around on it. The donut holes can get lost pretty easily since they’re tiny, but I’m buying another set even though she tends to ignore the big donut part … it’s worth it! I added some photos of our gal playing with the pink donut hole (she had her amputation only about a month ago so she’s still growing her fur back).

My senior (16 years) female is so so on today. Sometimes she’ll play for 3mins and be done. Even catnip toys. she’ll show some interest and then walk away to never play again. I figured what do I have to lose if she doesn’t like this toy? We’ll.

I was so wrong!!! From the moment I gave it to her (2 weeks ago) she will not leave this alone! She loves it, plays with it and sleeps with it! Every time I fine her napping this toy is right below her chin.

I will 100% be buying two more to have on hand as I can see this toy needing to be replaced in the next month or so. Would 100% recommend to any kitty parent! (Picture is her waking up from a nap and you can see it tucked under her side).

My sister recommended “this ugly thing” to me after her 3 cats would fight over who got to play with it. My cat was slow to warm up to it but it soon became her FAVORITE toy. She would jump up with it and wrestle it.

Carry it around. Deliver it to me as a gift every day. No matter where we would be in the house this platypus would end up by me. Eventually she ripped it apart and I had to retire it. But I’m here to repurchase her favorite toy!.

Much bigger than I expected, which isn’t a bad thing. The fabric and crinkle is very interesting to my cat. However, after just a couple play sessions, the side ripped open. Also, it would be great if this contained catnip.

The main downside is having to reinforce the stitching yourself, or risk your cat eating the stuffing.

One of my cats has adopted this as one of his toys to beat up on. He’s a big bunny kicker and I wanted him to have more opportunities for this exercise. I did spray it with some Feliway initially, but now that he’s not afraid of this new thing in his territory, he goes to town on it all on his own.

I’ll just rub a little catnip on it now and then in the future. I like the way it’s made, no parts that can be dislodged. Like his Lamb Chop, I’ll just have to take needle and thread to it here and there when he’s had it long enough to rub the fur off and expose the stuffing.

No big deal.

We needed a slow feeder for a young cat that added to his enrichment while we introduce him into household. Otherwise he inhales his bowl in 4 seconds flat. This is perfect! Jimmy loves digging his food out and also will pull out the cups and tip them over and bat them around a bit.

He gets 1/2 in his bowl and 1/2 in the Catit feeder , and treats in the cups at other times. He loves it and Hunting for food is fun! This is so easy to keep clean – I grab the cups and hand wash them in sink and wipe the holder down and done.

The Catit feeder is sturdy, simple to clean and designed really well. The green cups are smooth and rounded on the bottom and great for little paws to scoop. There is a small “well” or low spot on the tray that catches the food when Jimmy scoops it out and it falls to this low spot – absolutely brilliant!.

My cats really liked this. They seem to like silvervine more than catnip. The cats like the feathers, and the detachable parrot (which they promptly got stuck on something else and they are enjoying trying to detach it).

I liked the lack of small parts and beading that cats might swallow. Now the bad parts. I’m never a fan of synthetic materials in cat toys (my animals will chew things hard and swallow bits and pieces, inevitably) and I really did not like that this came with so many tags attached to it.

I had to be very careful to clip every tag and remove the plastic fasteners so my cats didn’t swallow them.

My cat loves anything with a crinkle sound so the fact that this toy has it was definitely worth a try. At first he didn’t know what to think of it. He checked it out and walked away. Then I proceeded to show him it makes that crinkle sound well he was all over it.

He was playing with it and kicking it and having a great time. He even detached the little bird and played with it for a good half hour. It’s a well made cat toy that will definitely stand up to the hard core playing it’s intended for plus if your cat is a fan of the crinkle sound this toy is sure to make him or her very happy for play time.

This was our adopted young kitties first kicker toy and it has been a hit. The toy design has them going mouth first for the lettuce and meat filling top (likely where the catnip is most prominent) and the crinkly foil wrapper is what they kick all while holding grabbing the burrito with all four paws— as it should be held! It’s funny to watch for us and they love it as well.

We’ve had it two weeks and it’s holding up very well so far. Great design. Thank you!.

My cat puts the Y on FUSSY – she has actually refused Tuna bc I didn’t buy HER brand, but I did not want her chomping/ play-fighting with me. So I took a chance on this Mad Cat Big Burrito with Silvervine as well as Catnip (she doesn’t really like catnip) and she loves it! It’s large and not light (which is what I wanted for her) but she STILL tries to carry it to the other room because she loves it so! As I said she is astoundingly Fussy (and I am a longtime cat parent) so if she loves it, I can highly recommend it!.

My boy Casey is almost 12 years old & gets bored with playtime easily. I decided on this toy for him because I thought it would be cute and it had many great reviews already. I didn’t even get it out of the Chewy box this morning before he went crazy.

I didnt buy a pack of 4(got a single pack) this was the only one for the Kong cat toy we bought for our cat. Just gotta say, my cat loves this toy. She brings it everywhere in the house to bite, chew, kick and throw around.

It makes a plastic bag scrunching noise that my cat loves but drives me nuts cause I always think she is eating a piece of plastic and I panic! I sometimes spray some Kong catnip on it and it becomes like a fresh new toy/buddy for her.

Its in front of her face in the pic lol She likes to push her face on it while she sleeps.

First off, well made. Nothing really wrong with this toy. Just that all 6 of my grownup kitties have 0 interest. Maybe it is better for kittens. Sturdily made, lots of crinkle, stiff & well filled. My theories as to it’s lack of popularity are: 1 material is not soft or inviting (although very sturdy & durable) 2.

Too much crinkle (better for wilder, braver cats & kittens?) 3 Too stiff (no give, not bendable or floppy) Maybe I should have given it a 4 but I think 3 reflects how the toy is not amazing but not at all bad.

This kicker toy is absolutely wonderful! I’m pretty sure my cat loves it more than he loves me. He’ll spend ten minutes wrestling with it, then a few hours away from it, then he’ll just go right back to wrestling with it.

It keeps him entertained when I have to work, and that’s what really counts! A bored kitty is a biting kitty, so if you don’t want yours suddenly latching onto your arm, be sure to get this toy! It usually lasts about two months before it’s just so gross and worn-out that I have to replace it, but that will vary depending on how much your kitty plays with it.

I don’t blame Chewy, Will is a discriminatory cat. He hates most wet foods he is given and believe me I have tried many, intially the Royal Canin wet food even though it is expensive, but he tends to eat fast at times and then throws up.

He only eats his Royal Canin dry food. I have always fed my cats a bit of wet each day and dry with lots of fresh water daily. So the toys, I don’t get why, I rub them all around to activate the cat nip.

Well, as this was part of a large shipment, I tossed it and got to work on unpacking everything else. accompanied by the sounds of frantic kill attacks. He loves this toy! It has crinkling noises, is perfect for kicking, and he enjoys biting it too! It’s holding up so far, but this is day 1 – it may have to be on permanent auto-ship! Lol.

At first one of my cats really loved this, but he has since ignored it. My other cat wasn’t interested either. They both love catnip so I’m not sure why. Could be the combination of ingredients in the filling.

My kittens instantly loved this toy for the feather tail and crinkle noises. However, the durability is definitely lacking considering it’s made for roughhousing/kicking. After a couple of days I noticed one ear was gone because tufts of the racoon “fur” are able to be licked off by the kittens.

Now, a week in part of one of the seams has busted open.

This is my cat’s favorite!! He loves to cuddle with it and even licks it clean! He also loves to chew on it and “hunt” it, running around the apartment to do so. It’s super easy to get his attention with it, thanks to the crinkle and the feathers on the end.

Good toy, our kitten engages with the feathery tail (likes biting, clawing at it) and she uses the body as a kicker toy. Will not give 5 stars because the material is cheap and after 2 weeks has already seen some damage (threads coming out, but the toy has not been fully destroyed yet).

As soon as my kitty saw this plush toy it was love at first sight! What is there not to like! It is amazingly soft (like kitty fur), plush and cuddly, which makes for loving time to caress against, rest against or sleep on.

It is crinkly all around, making fun sounds, and fun to attack. It is not too large or heavy to carry or drag around by the head or tail! My Lolli loves it! And she looks adorable playing and dragging it around with her.

It has officially been named Foxy! When I ask where is Foxy, she fetches and brings it to me to hold, while she rubs up against it or licks it. Truly a hit and likely one of Lolli’s favorite. This is becoming her fur buddy.

I’m thinking about possibly getting the Blue one.

I’ve ordered 4 of these (the purple ones) at this point. Perfect bunny kicking size and has crinkly stuff inside that he loves. My kitten carries it around the house in his mouth and literally nurses on the tail which is now a big sloppy wet mess lol.

He sleeps with and cuddles with it daily. He’s about 3-4 pounds now and this thing is almost as big as he is so it’s hilarious to see him carry it in his mouth. I have other kicker toys which don’t seem to get his attention.

Maybe purple is a color cats can see better? I don’t know but I ordered extra back up kickers in case the one he has gets lost. It’s like his version of a baby blankey.

I have two cats, and they both got new toys for Christmas. This plush kicker toy, however, is hands down the favorite, especially for one of my cats. He LOVES this toy. The moment we opened it and I placed it in front of him on the floor, he immediately went nuts over this toy, so much so, that he began growling at his brother to get away because he’d claimed the toy as HIS.

For a few dollars (very affordable), this kicker toy is a steal. My cat even curls up and sleeps with it, like it’s his very own stuffed animal. Definitely recommend this simple, yet perfect toy.

I had one from a previous cat but it got ‘horked’ on recently and there was really no way to clean it properly, so this is a replacement. I don’t see my boys play with this very much. I’ve squeezed the catnip pouch inside to crush the catnip and make the scent stronger, but still nothing.

It is a well made toy. As described on the website in size. It’s stuffed well but yet soft and the outer fabric is a sturdy soft cotton, flannel-like. My Boys are not really into lying on their backs and kicking at the tail, but I’d say if your cats do that sort of thing, they would like this toy.

I was working as a feline-only vet tech when I was introduced to Kong’s kickeroos. We had them for sale in our retail area as well as in our boarding facility because so many kitties go absolutely wild for them! Admittedly, they do seem to be made with a thinner fabric now, but my cat isn’t terribly aggressive with her claws even though she enjoys biting and kicking at the toy as intended.

The only reason we are on our second kickeroo is because my dog is under the impression that all toys are her toys and she chewed into my cat’s first kickeroo. I bought this one as a replacement as $5 is hard to beat when the toy makes my kitty so happy.

She was asleep when this replacement arrived, but when I showed it to her she woke right up and has been playing with it for the last 10 minutes. She is not a huge toy fan, but the kickeroo seems to be a huge win for her!.

At first my cat loved it, hugging and kicking this toy around. But once the catnip smell was gone he was no longer interested. Occasionally I’ll “refresh” the toy by spraying with catnip spray, but it’s just not the same.

He’ll just sniff the toy, lick at it and be done with it. Obviously each cat has its own personality and some like toys and some do not, mine falls into the latter. Nevertheless, the toy’s construction is well built – won’t easily be torn apart, has just the right amount of stuffing – easy for cats to hug and kick, with some bounce back, and a variety of textures for the cat to enjoy – a burlap like top, bumpy soft middle, and a fluffy tail at the end.

So our rescue cat never learned how to “play” with toys. We got him the kicker carrot and he loved it. After a while he seemed to kind of get bored with it; so we decided to buy the kicker burrito and see what happened.

He likes the burrito. He rubs on it and play with it. He now plays with the carrot again and the burrito he uses as a pillow. If you haven’t ever seen the carrot- get a carrot and a burrito. Buy both of them! You won’t be disappointed.

The kitties really have enjoyed this birthday present! Lots of laughs to be had as they held it with their front feet and bit it, kicking it with their back feet. Our old gal that is a former feral, she is in love with this toy and rubs her head and face all over it.

Highly recommend, BUT please use supervision with young cats that like to try and eat things.

this is a good one! i’ve found it difficult to find simple kick toys that are also long and wide enough for my cat to really get a full body hold on them (she is a smaller cat tho). this one is the perfect size! when she’s feeling feral while we’re playing, she’ll go to this toy and unprompted start kicking it, biting it, and lovingly rubbing her face all over it : – ) 4 stars because you can’t refill the catnip.

and the fabric is kind of cheap/synthetic. but hey is anything truly ever perfect in this life ~.

My 13 lb cat seems to really like this toy. I’d seen him use a kicker toy once before, that my dogs ended up destroying, and he seemed to enjoy that one, so I thought I’d give it another try. The dogs still try to steal this one, but so far I’ve been able to keep the kitty toys away from them.

Although my little dude is more fond of the teaser toys on a stick, when I get tired of playing with him, he usually finds this one and amuses himself. He chews on the ‘tail’ part while kicking at the soft stuffed part.

I’ve had it about a month now, and it’s been getting some action and is holding up well – seems pretty sturdy.

We have a Maine Coon mix who is huge and very rough on “normal” kitty toys! She absolutely loves the Kickeroo! It is big enough that she can hold it with her front paws and kick away at it with her rear paws.

Put a little nip & silvervine in it and she’ll play for hours! Very durable yet soft.

I put the catnip in the pocket and gave it to my cat. She looked at it then smelled it and walked away. Thought maybe I didn’t put enough catnip in it so filled the little pocket with it. She just smelled it and again, walked away.

She plays with other catnip toys with enthusiasm but not this one.

My cat loves the toy but it’s very small, even for a small cat. It’s about half the size of the normal one.

My cat is pretty picky about toys but loves this fish and really enjoys playing with it. The only downside is that it seems to fall apart pretty easily. I had to purchase a replacement for the original one I got him because the original was falling apart from being played with so much.

I’m now about to purchase a third one, as the second one is falling apart too. Maybe my cat just plays too rough with it. Nevertheless, it’s a hit with my kitty.

We have a constant problem of my cats toys getting lost under the furniture. I’ve purchased larger size catnip toys before but she lost interest quick because they get dusty or dirty. No dirt or dust from the floor sticks to this fabric and she loves the crinkle noises! I never leave reviews for anything but this I had to help it stand out to other fellow catladies.

I bought this after looking a while for a kicker toy I thought our female cat would be interested. However to my suprise my male cat who usually ignores everything except the lazer pointer immediately pounced on it and has played with it every day since we got it and even naps with it.

For the price the quality seems good and worth it. It has been very roughly played with and no signs of wear so far.

My six month old short hair/Maine Coon mix loves the catnip inside, feather tail of this one and the crinkly noises it makes. It’s definitely one of his top favorite toys, after the rainbow unicorn one.

Missy and Peanut stole the owl while it was still in the package but when I took it out of the package they want nothing to do with it. Don’t think the catnip is working. They love catnip.

Right out the box our cats loved this toy. The only sound in the living room was the crinkling of the toy and the sound of the cat kicking it. Because it was so well-loved it was also. short lived. But it was entertaining for the cats and for us while it lasted!.

Sorry, but my two cats didn’t really like him. I have two cats one Bengal (Loves to play, FOREVER) and one white long-haired cat (Timid plays on occasion, loves strings tho). Cat’s dislike Crackle. Sure C-3PO was cool but I didn’t expect him to have a crackle in him, wish there was a way on chewy to divide crackle noises to no-crackle noise.

Plus C-3PO is kind of flat and I believe a more cylindrical design would have been better for kicking. Anyways R2-D2 had a better design and they like him more. But only when you hold it by hand and rub their belly with it.

Overall he is ignored just like in the movies. If you want to give him his moment to shine like in ROTJ. give him feathers and put a miniature version of him on a string with Ewok mouses. Oh and one more thing.

Our cat loved this the moment he saw it. He immediately grabbed it and started biting on, rolling over on, and kicking at 3CPO. Too cute! The fabric is smooth and shiny in parts and seems sturdy. Definitely a win!.

Super cute, well constructed (even for my destructive feline), and loveable. She gets upset if I try to hug “3-PO” and immediately wants it back. That’s how I test how much she loves a new toy. haha! It was definitely a little smaller than I expected, but I am not upset.

This cactus toy turned out to be very similar to a Doggles toy I just wrote a similar review for (but this one is a lot bigger). I got this at the same time as the Doggles toys, but this one got dragged away by one of the cats hidden somewhere.

We found it on the living room floor ripped into pieces one morning. I’m not sure how much of the fibers they ate from this one, but it was all over the place. Here’s my review copied from the very similar but much smaller doggles toy.

It applies to both of them, and as far as I can tell to *any* pillow toy that has catnip inside of the toy, which encourages cats to rip them apart: This is a small pillow toy stuffed with synthetic fibers with a plastic packet of catnip sewn inside.

My cat shredded it in seconds. The catnip broke out of its packet and got mixed up with the synthetic fibers. My cat started chewing on it and ate some of the fibers before I got it away from him. He threw up a little later.

If I hadn’t been there I’m sure he would have eaten a lot more of it. This thing should be pulled from the market. I bought a bunch of very similar but differently shaped Doggles toys at the same time.

They’re made the same way and all have the same crinkly plastic catnip packet inside. I’m throwing them all away and copying this review to those as well.

So, to start, I ordered this three different times. The first one? Great! My cats love it! It was sturdy and stuffed very well that it can take a beating. Second? Well, it wasn’t all bad. There was a hole on the side when I got it.

A customer asked if the toy had “crinkle” sound materiel in it and Chewy answered that it does not. I can attest that it DOES TOO have the crinkle material. I’m not complaining. My cat likes the sound but wanted to share my toy experience since the question was answered inaccurately.

Still a 5 star review! My senior cat loves to kick at it. I prop the cactus up so my 8 month old kitten will come along and attack it. I set multiple stuffies up so he will stop attempting to tackle my senior cat.
