20 Best Cat Urine Deterrent (2022 Updated)

I bought this product and the 16†x 13†type to help deter a large family of skunks which use my front porch as an all-night super highway. I use it along with a Night Guard solar blinking red light.

My motion sensor cameras show cats are definitely deterred by the light, so I haven’t seen how the scat mats work specifically for cats. but skunks are only deterred 50% of the time depending on their age and weight.

Young energetic ones just bust their way through. But the prickles do cause discomfort to the skunks as most of them slow down and either tiptoe through, or simply go around. I assume their foot pads are tougher than cat foot pads.

But don’t know for sure.

for those that have complained it doesn’t work for cats probably either cut it too narrow (in which the nimble cats and just step over), or it was a smaller cat like a kitten who really can put it’s paws between the spikes.

I originally bought this to keep my one cat away from the bedroom sliding door window as he likes to paw on it to be let out at 5am for hours and hours. My 2 cats avoid this thing like the plague. BUT.

the 12″ was too narrow and they could easily just step over it. So the one cat who likes to paw could put his hind feet on one side of the strip and still lean over and paw the window. THEN. I bought a second strip to double it to 24″ and he is so mad he can’t get to the window he just whines like a little kid, haha.

Remember these animals are nimble, if they can step around it they will. But that was my experience and this product is an excellent deterrent to get your pet to avoid an area.

I bought this mat to keep squirrels from climbing my bird feeder poles. The squirrels would pull down my bird feeders and break them. I bought this mat hoping it would stop the desrtruction of my bird feeders.

I wrapped the mat around the poles and tree branches and I even made a wall with the mat, but this mat did not stop squirrels. Squirrles are used to sharp tree branches so the spikes do not bother them.

The squirrels walked over the spikes without any problems. The mat did not work with squirrels, but for our neighbor’s cat it is keeping it out of our yard for now. Our neighbor’s very large kitty would jump our vinyl fence and jump into our yard to get to the wild birds eating at our bird feeders.

The cat would come into our yard early in the morning and sit quietly under plants. I worried it might get one of the birds. So I laid the cat scat mat over the top of the ground where the neighbor’s cat jumps into our yard.

I woke up early one morning and I heard the cat jumping our fence to get out of our yard. I’m not sure if it actually jumped on the spikes or if the cat saw the spikes from the top of our fence. A few days later, I heard it jump on top of our fence again, but this time it did not jump into our yard.

It must have seen the mat was still in place. I’m keeping my fingers crossed this will stop the kitty coming into our yard. It didn’t work for squirrels but it seems to be working with our neighbor’s cat.

For the squirrels I’m looking around Amazon for something else.

I have a cat that my vet calls “the weirdest cat she’s ever seen” in her 20 years of practice. Every three years, like clockwork, he has an episode that ends up with him peeing on the bed. This time it was so bad it actually soaked through the mattress protector.

I had used the previous iteration of this product the last episode, and so tried this “new” version. Yes, when you open the bottle is smelled horrific. I literally gagged. But I had to get the urine out somehow so I took a chance.

I discovered that once you pour it (in my case saturate the area on the mattress), something with the oxidation makes it smell like regular cleaner. It’s strong at first, but then fades away. One thing I did differently this time that seemed to make the product work better is to follow their suggestion and after saturation, cover the area with a damp towel.

Most importantly, it pulled out all the urine from my mattress and got rid of the smell. It does leave a little discoloration when poured on directly, but that doesn’t bother me for the mattress. I also added it to the wash for the sheets/comforter, and it got the pee smell out and there wasn’t any discoloration.

I had just brought home a new foster puppy when I received an email asking if I’d like to review this product; the timing couldn’t have been more perfect! As someone that fosters for a local rescue, and also dogsits rather frequently, you know that there’s an accident waiting to happen sooner or later! I’ve invested in various enzyme cleaners and a heavy duty steam vacuum over the years (can’t stand the smell of dog urine!), but there’s nothing more frustrating when you have a new dog and they mark the same spot on the carpet where a previous dog had gone after cleaning, ugh!! I’m always on the hunt for products that actually work so was happy to test out the Nature’s Miracle Urine Destroyer Plus spray.

First off, love the new scent! It smells amazing. Second, the puppy had an accident on the rug, and after blotting up the pee as much as I could, I immediately sprayed and soaked the area. It ended up taking two rounds to fully “destroy the urine”, so the only downside is I can see myself going through bottles fairly quickly, which can get expensive.

The smell of pee is out though (yes, I did the get on hands and knees and do the sniff test), and there is now a lovely scent left behind instead. Time will tell when the next dog comes along, and if they can detect where an accident had happened, so fingers crossed that I can add this as a staple to my cleaning closet! So far so good though!.

My COVID puppy just turned 1 year old yesterday and though she has been good for several months in terms of no accidents in the house, she RANDOMLY started peeing everywhere! We didn’t change anything and have been taking her out as much as we normally do, but maybe she has been holding it more when we are outside because the weather is icky?! Either way, she’s had a major potty training regression and we’ve started using Nature’s Miracle Urine Destrooyer and like the name claims, it really does destroy the urine and smell! I’ve found the product works best when caught right away.

Sop up the drenched part with papertowel until almost no more wet spot. Then THOROUGHLY spray the Urine Destroyer on the soiled area (I tend to spray a little bit around the soiled area just to make sure I got EVERYTHING).

Then I usually put a barricade around it so everybody in the house knows not to step on it! Wait for it to dry and good to go! LOVE this product – has been a lifesaver the last few weeks!.

I am writing this review on Dec. 26th – after ensuring I gave the product a complete test. I can say with 100% confidence that this product truly helped to deter my 3 cats from my Christmas tree for an entire month.

Literally, by the end of the holiday season my tree is usually a disaster, lights ripped off/chewed, the bottom bare, etc. This year my tree stood strong the whole time. The cats didn’t even come close to messing with it per their usual M.

O. the only work required to to adjust the mats every few days to ensure maximum defense is kept up. I’m so very happy with this purchase. 10/10! Totally recommend for you feline lovers that also enjoy a festive fir!.

I have inconsiderate neighbors who let their cats roam the neighborhood, **** and *** in yards, and break plants that are in warm places. They don’t seem to have a warm place for their cat to sleep and I suspect they don’t have clean water available.

I put cactus among the succulents on my front porch table and the cushy chairs. The cats just jumped up, pushed the plants around, and broke some of them. These clear plastic spiked trays have kept them off my plants and chairs.

The poor cats still come to drink from my fountain and *** under that table, but at least they are no longer breaking my succulents.

So I bought this item because I wanted to keep our cats off cupboards and closet shelves. Needless to say, they Walk on it, Roll on it, and Lay on it as if it’s the best invention for cats. All I can do is scratch my head and stare in disbelief that it does the complete opposite when I see our cats behaving as if it’s massage/pressure point relief day when they get on it and do their thing.

Might as well toss the rest on the floor for their entertainment. Probably be more easy to keep them out of stuff. I suppose I’ll have to look around for something that’s more deterring for them, cause this isnt it.

But it is easy to lay down and you get quite a few for the price. Just glad it wasn’t expensive.

This is the only thing I use to get the smell of cat urine out of anything. It is by far the only product I have purchased or used that actually really 100% eliminate cat spray smell. I have used this on clothes before washing them, carpets, bean bag chairs, shoes, upholstery, furniture, hard floors, tile, bedding, mattresses, kids toys, stuffed animals, blankets.

Everything and anything. I had a few cats in the past that were just relentless at spraying everywhere to the point I ended up having to re-home them. The one cat that was the worst at spraying decided to follow me into the baby nursery.

I was pregnant with my first child. So I had the baby room all set up painted, organized and Ready for new baby. I went in there one day to put away some clothes I had washed and usually I kept door shut to keep the cat out of the baby room.

However the cat followed me in there on this day and after I put the clothes away I heard a noise and as I turned around to find out what it was I saw the stinking cat in the brand new baby car seat infant backwards facing car seat that hooked onto stroller, the car seat we planned on bringing baby home in, and not even used yet brand new.

And this cat was peeing/ spraying right in the part where the baby is placed all over the cover and the straps. I found this miracle stuff after attempting about a million other over the counter and do it or make it yourself remedies.

This stuff was finally the one that actually worked and left no lingering cat spray smell behind.

One of my 3 cats refuses to share a litter box with the 2 other cats despite the fact that he knows perfectly well how to do so. Most of the time he just does his business in the bathroom sink which is annoying but far preferable than peeing on my couch or pillow.

Some days, though, he will happily just pee in a corner on the carpet or on the comforter on my bed. I’ve been using Nature’s Miracle products for well over a decade now. Yes they help to eliminate some residual cat pee smell but it isn’t totally a “miracle” in that the odor will remain in places that get hot, that get a lot of sunshine, or that get a lot of inappropriate use.

It is supposed to break down the compounds that cause the odor and convince the cat that it is a good location to use but I haven’t seen much evidence of that. Also I have used a black light to target areas in need of attention but the marks that are highlighted by the light remain after a couple of applications so I have to wonder just how much of the urine is getting broken down by the enzymes.

Nature’s Miracle Urine Destroyer (and other products in the line) are easy to find in pet supply stores, grocery stores, and online. That being said they are NOT cheap. A 128 fluid ounce bottle of this Urine Destroyer cost me over $40 and will only last for like a couple of weeks.

I do recommend this stuff as it is the best that I’ve found thus far but it is pricey and it doesn’t work quite as effectively as I would like.

This stuff never seems to work for me. I have multiple cats and two dogs. Mostly we have used this for the cats. It seems to clean up messes ok. But it has a very distinctive smell that comes off smelling like cat urine when it dries.

So either it is not really eliminating odor, or it also smells like cat pee. When I go to other people’s houses, I can tell if they use it. It also doesn’t really seem to deter cats from peeing in areas outside the box that they keep peeing on like the product claims.

I think this is mainly because if a cat is going outside of the box, there’s other issues going on such as stress or a bladder infection and you have to treat them for that. Not just spray this product where they made a mess.

I read about product and it made sense. Online searches brought hint remedies that sounded lame. My dog urinated on an ottoman skirt. Smelled so bad i took it outside on top of my car- upside down – and sprayed with hose.

Smelled better but he kept going back. Yhis year he got two chairs ottomans and couch Put this in speay bottle protecting floors and sprayed everything inside and out Works awasome. No more smell.

This stuff is amazing! I just bought it and used it for the first time on a spot on the carpet that has been there for months, I just didn’t know how to get rid of it. Well, this is the miracle stuff that actually works wonders.

Great cleaner for cat or dog messes. Works on urine, also cleans up hairball or vomit messes really well. I didn’t realize there was no cap before purchasing, and the safety seal wasn’t enough to keep it from leaking, so opening the package got a little messy, but I put it into a spray bottle after opening it anyway, so it’s not a huge downside.

After reading a lot of reviews, I was skeptical about how well this would work for my two stubborn dogs (Dachshund and Cocker Spaniel), but decided to give it a shot. After only a few verbal corrections and contact with the mat, neither dog want anything to do with the new couch if this was on it.

After only a week I didn’t have to open it all the way up, but just place it across the seat. Now, it is folded into a square in the middle of the couch (for quick removal) and they still stay away. I will definitely purchase this again when buying new furniture.

Love it. My large dogs wouldnt stay off the furniture and were ruining it. So far my dogs dont want any part of it. They climbed on it once each and never again. Its only been 3 days but so far so good.

I do suggest having the foil side up as the crinkle sound has irritating to my dogs. I think they might like the prettier brown side. We just flip it up or take off when we are using the couch. Im ordering another one for the other couch.

This is by far the best odor remover I have tried!!!! Had terrible urine smell from a female dog that I had rescued for a couple of weeks. I had tried several brands bought at big box store, nothing worked.

Went on-line to check for the best product, “Sonny and Honey” was reviewed as EXCELLENT so I went with it. Well, let me tell you, after just one good spray in my living room the odor almost gone. Sprayed again in a couple of days and no odor remained, I have not had to spray again!!!! I highly recommend this product, my money was well spent!!!.

Brought the gallon bottle because I have two cats. Product is used neat. I poured it all over the laminate floor in my cats main living quarters because for some reason one of the cats started peeing on the floor.

Soaked the floor, left it for 10 mins and then soaked up the excess leaving the floor to dry naturally. What can I say, odour free. It appears to work but I’m glad I brought it anyway because of the Natural enzyme formula.

is the stuff in this bottle. It is frustrating to deal with a cat that marks inappropriately and I really wanted to find something that worked (even using meds on this cat has not helped) so over the past year I’ve ordered quite a few different products of this nature.

This one, is so offensive to me odor wise, I could not use but a few times – and even after hours, I could still smell it. Sprayed a few times before work and could still smell when I got home. To me, it was nauseating.

I had to spray it on a cabinet that has louvered doors which allowed the (cat & bottle) spray to get inside – and now, the inside of the cabinet smells like this stuff. So far, nothing has overpowered it (though it has faded, I still get whiffs every now & then).

It’s pretty sad when you want an odor remover for the odor remover. With that said, it obviously works for some people and if you can’t smell very well or have never run into a person who wears too much perfume, I’m betting your olfactory system is not as sensitive as mine.

I know not everyone will be as affected by the odor (some of the others I’ve tried had a citrus scent or no scent at all – and I know some folks hate citrus). But for those who are more sensitive, I’d try to find this item and sniff test first.

I don’t even know what to call the smell of this stuff – I can’t describe it. It’s almost. sickeningly sweet? For the price, you get more than some others I tried, so if it works for you, then it is a good price for the quantity.

I have SEVEN “dumb” cats and I have been using this stuff for years. In chasing around that many indoor cats, I would never be without it. After a good once-over with an oxy cleaner, I soak the area with DC, blot the excess, and let the spot dry naturally.

I rarely have to repeat. My dumb bells may find another spot to have a little fun on nearby, but they never return to the previously cleaned spot again. I love cats, but I cannot, and will not, tolerate my house smelling like I have any, much less three. I use Ever Clean litter to keep their boxes odor free, and I use Dumb Cat for the occasional “accident” outside of the boxes.

It’s a miracle product! In addition, I care for a colony of outside cats for whom I maintain tarped shelters on my deck in the winter. The cats really stink up the place by the time spring comes around.

When I take down the winter shelters, I use Dumb Cat to wash down the deck, the tarps, and all the surrounding surfaces. You’d never know the little buggers were spraying up the place all winter long! I’ve tried other products that purport to remove cat odors, but they never even came close to what Dumb Cat does.

for urine marking I would say about 70 % effective short term but better over long term. It does require 2 a day use in beginning of areas the kitty is spraying and then can be reduced to once a day and eventually none but can be a drawn out process.

But in spraying and especially in attitude or new introduction situations I would highly recommend the plug ins that last for 3-4 weeks and are highly effective. It does take a little time to saturate the air in the house and you must take in to consideration the square foot area as well as number of levels of your house when figuring how many plugins you will need.

also if you open windows it will dilute concentration in how and take a little time to build up once windows are shut but sprays can help saturate air again.

We have 3 cats and our 14 year old cat displays behavioral issues at times. She has been vet checked and no medical problems found. She occasionally wets in places she should not. This started the last 2 years and we started using Feliway Spray.

We only needed it a couple of times a year but when we went to buy it this time, it appears that it is not made by that company any more. We were skeptical getting this Comfort Zone product but decided to give it a try since it has the Feliway (stress reducing pheromone in it).

This stuff is great. I first bought it when my boyfriend and I were driving from NJ to New Orleans and bringing our cat along. I sprayed it inside his carrier before putting him inside like the directions said but it is pretty strongly scented so he started having a sneezing fit so I had to take him out.

I put him back in 15 minutes later and he was fine. I sprayed in the car every so often and supplemented with calming paw gel and he did fine on the 19 hour drive. I took him to the vet a few weeks later and they sprayed it on a towel and put the towel over the carrier and that method worked wonders and didn’t cause him to start sneezing uncontrollably and it calmed him down enough for his exam.

I took off one star because the product is SO strongly scented, it even bothers me. But other than that, it works as advertised.

I use it to keep cats off a specific area, my stove top. And it works. Beware this thing is a heat sensor, not a motion sensor. Thus I have to turn it off when I am using the stove till the burners etc.

cool down. I had an old version of this that was blue and beeped as well as sprayed. IT could condition the cats to flee when it beeped only, to save propellant. However eventually that one quit working and it is not repairable being that the electronics are tiny and inaccessible.

This one is working fine just spraying the compressed air. You can cheat and buy some brands of compressed air cans and remove the plastic tops for this to attach to. That is up to you and the makers cans always work with this, if more expensive.

It is an effective deterrent but not over a huge area, like a real long counter top. But you can move it around and keep the cats in doubt as further deterrent. Pointing away towards the back so you don’t set it off.

IF you just use it when you are away or at night, you have more flexibility.

We’ve had issues with our cat scratching the couch, and knocking things over on the counter. We’ve tried a spray bottle of water, and also sprays directly on the couch to prevent her from scratching, and none of that really helped.

After we were recommended to try this, we have not looked back! We have this on our counter, and one by the couch, and she has not jumped on the counter in a long time! We’re still working on the scratching, but it has definitely lessened.

I highly recommend this product! We have a couple, and we might pick up a third one eventually. I love that we can turn it on so she knows when we are sleeping, or when we are not home, we have the peace of mind knowing that this is automatic when she gets in the view of the sensor.

I bought this to try and stop our cat getting in the kitchen sink all the time. I had used one in the past with a previous cat to stop him going behind the TV and spraying, and it worked – scared the living daylights out of him.

However, our current cat doesn’t seem to be phased at all, he just looks at it with a dumb expression on his face and then carries on climbing into the sink So as a product it works, it jets air when it senses movement.

But it will really depend on your own cat as to whether it’s effective or not. Not the fault of the product though, which works as advertised. By the way, there’s no need to buy the expensive ‘official’ air canisters.

Any compressed air canister will do.

This works. Make sure you remember to shake the bottle every time before using it. Sometimes I have to do the procedure twice. But it does remove the cat pee smell. My cat sprays when he’s not well, or very agitated.

I have found this to be really great. I buy the big bottle and it lasts me about 3 years. It is a hassle to clean out the “urine off” from the carpet once it’s done it’s job, I usually wet the area again with water, and soak up with a towel, and I repeat this a few times to remove the urine off out of the carpet.

It removes the cat pee. It didn’t work for getting cat pee out of timber floor boards. I had to use hydrogen peroxide and bicarbonate of soda for that. But Urine off is good for carpet, curtains, anything fabric , walls, or vinyl.

With carpet, I get down on my knees and smell the area till I find where it doesn’t smell and then I mark it with a bit of paper, so what I’m doing is getting the containment boundary of the urine using my nose.

I then start spraying it around outside the pee area and then work your way in so as the carpet soaks up the urine off, it doesn’t spread out, it spreads the pee into the centre of where it is. I shake the big bottle and then fill a smaller urine off spray bottle I bought beforehand to try the product.

Then use that spray bottle to apply it. The only time I’ve poured it straight from the big bottle was when I was getting cat pee out of the car seats, (I bought the car like that from a cat rescue person, and when it was humid the smell would come out, I had no idea at the time of purchase.

) I had to pour it straight onto the seats and leave it for a day then kneel on towels to douse it out and then pour warm water, and then douse the water out till I got most of it out of the seat. I did this procedure again months later and again months after that.

Each time it helped remove the smell. It now no longer smells but it was a big job. It does break down the cat pee, but I don’t like to leave the urine off, I always try to remove it out of whatever I’m treating, once it’s done it’s job.

The reason I give it 4 stars and not 5, is because I do have to treat the same area twice, even with fresh pee, it would be good if I didn’t. I have expensive sunblock curtains, and I did have to do it twice with them, even though the pee was fresh.

When it’s an old missed stain in the carpet, I spray it on, and use glad wrap or a plastic bag to cover it and then put a towel over the plastic to weigh it down and keep it in place or put a bucket over it.

That way it can’t evaporate, and no one or the pets can run in it, and I leave it overnight, then I douse it with a towel, then wet it with water and douse again, and do this a few times. I also put nice smelling talcom powder on the wet area after all the dousing, and cover with a towel, so the residue dampness gets absorbed by the powder and the towel, and then on the next vacuum I it all up, ends up leaving the carpet patch smelling really nice.

I just want to add, I read a review that said that followed the instructions on an old stain and it made it worse, and I have had an experience like that in a house that previously had dogs pee there over the years.

So when I tried to clean that area of pee, it’s carpet, underlay, and then floorboards under that, and it’s very old. So it was really foul when I tried to clean it up. And it did make it worse. I think for something so badly effected, means that I need to cut out a section of the carpet and underlay, treat the floor boards with hydrogen peroxide and bi-carbonate of soda mixed with it.

I imagine there is probably mould under there as well. So that was where it made it worse. I had no idea that would happen, and I imagine there is mould and possibly years of pee in that area.

I’ve been using UO for more than a decade. The first time was when I took my 6-mo-old cat for a drive to get him used to the car. He sat on my lap, never uttered a sound, but released his fears on me.

I felt the warmth spread over my legs and into the seat of my car. (I swear, he must have drank six beers before we left the house, because it just kept c-o-m-i-n-g!). 5 gallons of product later, the smell of urine is pretty much replaced with the fresh odor of UO. Three months after I put him down, I bring home a new kiddo. I pull out my black light, to ensure that he is not adding to the old artwork and am horrified to discover that, although the previous spots don’t have an odor (detectable to humans), they are still ugly green under the black light! Phase two: spritz all spots with water, cover with pine pellets (press them in).

Once the sawdust has dried, vacuum. Viola! Green patches have faded to the point that the landlord would not notice them. I recommend purchasing Urine Off formula, together with the Urine Off black light, especially if you have cats.

The first light I purchased from a petstore showed all the places he had hacked up fur balls, but NOT the urine! Cat urine is at a different frequency than dog urine. Or peuk.

Product 5/5 Stars: I know this product works from many reviews I have read and then I confirmed this by using it myself. It eliminates new and old urine stains and odor by neutralizing the urine. This is the best way to prevent dogs from smelling invisible urine components (that humans can’t smell) and peeing in the same spot over and over again! Do you just use your spot cleaner on your carpet to clean up a pee and think you have cleaned the area properly? What we can’t see or smell doesn’t exist, right?! WRONG.

Dogs have around 225 MILLION sensory receptors compared to the 5 million that you have in your nose. If you don’t neutralize the components of the urine BEFORE shampooing your carpet, then your dog can still smell the pee spot.

My sick cat leaves small marks around the house that the other cats pick up on and spray, so I have to treat the smell to keep the other cats from scenting. Anyone with cats knows how sensitive they are to the smell of another cat’s urine, and how quick they are to mark the spot.

This stuff, when used according to the directions, is fantastic. I have taken the smell out of really old spots (in a former apartment), on still-wet fresh spots, and even on stains the dogs left. I’m so pleased with urine OFF for cats, I keep a couple bottles on hand just in case.

You really do need to soak the spot, and I even recommend covering it to keep it from drying quickly, but I rarely have to treat a spot more than once if I let the enzymes go to work and not dry out for a few days.

This works great. When we removed our flooring to replace it, we discovered some very old urine stains on both the concrete and the plywood subfloor. this product worked awesome on both sub straights! I was amazed at how it actually pulled the odor right out after a couple of applications! I will never be without it in my ome for emergencies!.

Best product I’ve found for getting rid of cat urine smells. I don’t have to worry about my house having any urine smell. I use it on the litter boxes as well when I wipe then down after removing the cat clumps, etc.

We have a diabetic senior tabby cat and an 11-month-old rescue “kitten” that is already as big as our old cat. Both are neutered males, and while we have not had any problems with spraying or scratching, since day one of meeting each other, the kitten has been chasing our old cat and biting him on the neck several times a day.

In desperation, I purchased and placed several of the MultiCat Feliway Diffusers in the rooms our cats frequent the most. After a several days, we noticed a big difference. The attacks were down to once a day.

It’s been three months now, and the attacks have dwindled to just two or three times a week, but our older cat has also become bolder in standing up for himself, and faster at escaping to his safe place—his elevated window seat/bed.

I only rated it 4 stars because the diffusers last barely three weeks for us (a problem we noticed other reviewers also had), and so they really are priced too high considering they are supposed to last 30 days and are advertised that way.

Since we didn’t have any refills on hand, we had to reorder. While waiting several days for the order to arrive, we also noticed a change of behavior in our younger cat and an increase in his attacks on the older one.

Thankfully, that was again reduced the day after we plugged in the new refills. We sincerely hope DFS will resolve the “non-lasting” issue by reducing the price of the product, and maybe offer a Senior Citizen Discount to us old folks on limited incomes.

I’ve heard that you need to use these for several months before they really have an affect. For me, I would need a lot of these diffusers to fill my space. These are rather expensive given these facts and therefore it is difficult to maintain their use.

While using them, I unfortunately didn’t see many noticeable changes in my cats behavior. I also felt that I could smell them, which was an odd slightly sickening sweet smell. If they were cheaper I’d be open to trying again but the price for me is the breaking factor.

My elder Male cat passed away and that night my other cats were fighting throughout the night and day. Nothing I could think of was working. I seen this online and figured even if it was snake oil it was worth a try.

When I received the kit I plugged it in that night in the main room as close as I could get to a draft thinking that would spread the scent. After about 20 minutes it gave off a warm milk scent that went away and was not really strong.

Within 2 hours I had noticed no cat fights or hissing/moaning. A week fast forward: My multicat house is back to normal and none of the cats are fighting. Even the ones that are normally confrontational look at each other and go on their merry ways.

It really is amazing shy of some kind of Voodoo magic. I absolutely would not think twice about this product. It really does work. I am sure there are certain conditions like open windows etc that may not let the scent build up but I am a believer ! Now, if you have multiple cats, the first can will be gone fast.

it may be 2-3 cans in before they dont want to test it anymore. I tested this with their favorite ball, 6 cats will no even dare step into the spray area with their toy even a LASER! Really true. So yes, if you have alot of cats, do not expect one or even 2 cans to fix your spot.

I am protecting 2500 in audio equipment I dont want them clawing/peeing on and it has worked!.

My Tango gets quite predatory when overly stimulated. No matter how much I played with him to wear him out, he still bit and clawed quite a bit. He also growls as loud as a dog at any loud sounds, which we call monsters.

Once I woke up to him attacking me repeatedly, drawing considerable blood, even though I spent time with him, took him out for a walk and played with him. It was a proper mauling. This concerned me when it came to my home care worker, who is with me five days a week.

As long as she sprays the bottom of her pants with Feliway Classic Calming Spray, she is free from bites and scratches. Other products did not work as well. A calming collar alone did not bring him peace.

My vet’s office suggested using multiple products together. He won’t stop biting his Feliway calming collar until it comes off, so I am trying just the diffuser, spray and increased physical activity.

Feliway spray is tops stuff. Having just adopted an anxious rescue kitty it has come in very handy indeed, though I am keeping to use lightly as needed. Sprayed it on a newly acquired cat tree and it never even made it as far as the intended spot.

I left it in the kitchen overnight after bringing it in to the house and spraying it. and the quite new to my house “will leave the safe room to investigate things in the quiet safety of night only” 18 month old kitty was sitting in it in the wilds of the kitchen the next morning.

she was definitely more comfortable in my interactions with her that day. Having even that single interaction – and the association from it in the cat’s mind – would be worth it, but I get to keep the stuff to keep using as needed, to help her recognise things as able to offer security and safety! Be aware it does seem to wear off fairly quickly – the next morning the cat tree was unoccupied – but associating things with safety in a cat’s mind lasts very well.

The spray over the diffuser to me gives the ability to concentrate and direct towards what is meant to be more comfortable and stress easing to the kitty. This can be really handy in associating certain items or places with safety and security.

(and I can’t help shake the feeling the diffuser may be very good at making any cracks in windows or walls or airflow vents – probably out of reach – seem soothing to kitty. Of much more limited use than being able to make her feel secure on the pillow or in the igloo in which she sleeps).

Especially useful for stressful kitties, but all kitties have stresses to deal with (try spraying the cat carrier for vet trips!) 10/10. Would recommend. Also use cat psychology though. Be aware what freaks kitty out and don’t treat cat as irrational.

It is all rational (from a cat’s perspective) behaviour. Google “slow blink” if you have not already, and help kitty gain trust as they are wired to :). and my anxious rescue cat is doing very well. It is now four weeks since she joined me here and she now sleeps alongside me at least some of the time and sometimes snoozes under my tented knees when I sit on the floor to play with her or snuggled just lightly into my back.

She responds well after something startles her and I assure her it is ok. stops a couple of steps away and comes back. And she has started trilling. I love excitable and enthusiastic – and happy – companion cats :).

I have yet to find anything other than prescription medication to keep my cat relaxed during car rides. The feliway spray is $25 and doesn’t work for a whole car ride. He was calm for a short time but began freaking out again.

I’ve tried feliway multiple times for him and I’ve accepted that it just doesn’t work for him. I have seen the vet technicians use it for smaller cats on towels over their carriers, those cats seemed to calm down way more than my cat did.

His size might be a factor that causes the feliway to be ineffective. I hate having to give him prescriptions from the vet for his anxiety but I’d rather do that than use the feliway and have him terrified.

I suppose it was worth a try but it’s not something I would buy again.

I’d completely cleaned our vinyl and pergo hard floors with other cleaners, but a “doggy” smell remained. I found 5 yr old gallon of Stink-Free in the basement and figured “why not?!” I’d try it. Using a sponge mop and rinsing the mop in a 2nd bucket of clean hot water between uses, then dipping into Stink-Free again, I mopped all the vinyl & pergo floors.

This stuff is AMAZING! It totally neutralized all traces of any urine or doggy smell and left floors clean and with a light, pleasant citrus smell. A+! I’m definitely recommending it from now on.

Stop searching for those worthless products on the market, they just don’t work as effectively as they state. I stumbled on this product in TJ Maxx years ago and had nothing to lose and the rest is history.

I’ve used so many, enzyme removers, vinegar and water, injecting my carpet pad with chemicals and a turkey blaster and nothing worked until STINK FREE. This is the best and you won’t regret your purchase.

Yes the perfumes they’ve added are string initially but that subsides. No need to dilute this product,you simply pour over the area and let sit and dry. Of course you won’t to blot up after a few minutes but that’s it and viola you’re done! Perfect product for every dog owner.

Also works on my hardwood floors but I wouldn’t let it sit for more than a few minutes and wipe up.

I really like this. First time I used it said a lot. I have 3 male cats who have deceided to walk up and spray. Clean the area, and took the second time but they no longer use the spot. I have breathing trouble so the wonderful scent doesn’t bother my breathing.

I would HIGHLY recommend this product.

LOVE First, well, yea, my scalp can get kind of dry and if I ignored it, someone might say I had dandruff 😉 This is the only shampoo I’ve found that actually works AND doesn’t smell like the Heisenberg high school rolling chemistry lab! But, there’s a “holy grail” product bonus, I also use it on my face.

Don’t lather, just leave it as gel to sit for 3-5 minutes, my skin is as exfoliated and glowing as it would be if I hadn’t skipped a day or two of my full beauty routine. Please be careful though, my skin may be less sensitive than yours so please take my recommendation as a “this works really well for me, you should consider and decide for yourself if it’s right for you try” instead of “everyone is doing it and I promise nothing bad will ever happen if you do it too”.

Used this shampoo for my drumy scalp. It worked well for just about two months. After that it stopped working on keeping my moisturized, an I had to swap and use a different shampoo. But this happens to me with various different types of shampoos.

They all work on my scalp for a couple weeks to months, and they I have to switch to different type. I still recommend this shampoo.

I love how well this stuff works! It contains a 3% salicylic acid that helps rid your scalp of dry skin and dandruff. In turn that reduces itchiness and irritation, I used to struggle with dry scalp pretty bad.

Until I found this Selsun naturals and I no longer have those issues, I use this once a week and find that it works perfect. Please give this a try if you are struggling!.

We were using another version of natures miracle but the odor was just too strong for me to tolerate. And it would last for days. That wasn’t an issue much in the past as our last chihuahuas were well house trained and only had issues with kidney stones, or aging.

But now we adopted a chi mix who has to be tranquilizer to be inside his cage AND at 3 is not house trained AND he’s petrified to go outside. We finding this was a real blessing. IF you follow the directions you will never have a stain.

As with all enzymatic type urine removers, the odor is sometimes worse than the urine odor. This does have an odor BUT it’s SO much more tolerable, as I have trouble with odors. Of course because you must get all the way down to the floor, we saturate our carpeting as instructed, and find the odor will linger for 2-4 days.

Again, I don’t like it, but it does not overwhelm me as the others in this brand.

I don’t really leave reviews but for this I’ve made an exception in order to warn everyone else away. The smell of this! Oh man, the SMELL. It’s SO strong, and it’s like cheap perfume and rotting flowers.

And do you think the smell will ever come out of what you soak it with? It will not. IT WILL NOT. It does not dissipate. It does not wash out. It is RELENTLESS. See, my cat peed on me in the car, I used other products to clean the car no problem but I decided to use this on my clothing.

The smell was strong, but surely a wash will take care of that, right? Reader, it not only did not wash out, but the smell spread to the entire load of laundry, a full third of my clothing. It was so strong the smell would fill any room I sat in for long (other people commented on it!).

I tried everything to get the smell out of all that clothing: in addition to regular detergent I tried vinegar soaks, baking soda soaks, special sports detergent, a different enzymatic cleaner, a popular smell-destroying spray that rhymes with trees, and everything else.

I eventually got it out via a homemade method that involved organic chemistry (yes, really) but the effort I spent was over-the-top and I still had to throw out the original leggings I soaked it in. NEVER AGAIN.

Why does this review have two stars, not one? Well. it DID destroy the urine smell. It just happened to replace it with something equally bad.

We recently adopted a new rescue Shih Tzu mix named Luna. She was actually an owner surrender. Not being 2 years old yet, she still has a few bad habits. One of them although cute at first is barking at the dogs she sees or hears on the television.

We have tried several techniques but they have not been completely successful. We decided to give this product from Sentry a try based on a friend’s recommendation. I made the mistake of not making a trial run before I first tried it.

Not really sure who was affected the most by the sound, Luna or myself. This product does grab her attention as well as anyone else within earshot. I would highly encourage one to warn the humans in the room before spraying.

The scent is not unpleasant to us, nor did it seem to adversely affect Luna. One drawback is the recommended distance to initiate the spray. It’s not always possible to be that close. That being said, this product has been the most effective so far, but I stop short of saying that it will completely change the behavior.

In fairness to the product this could be due to several factors. 1. The only time I have used the spray is when the behavior needs to be corrected so there may not have been enough actual opportunities.

2. I have to consider how this product affects the dog and she may just need a few more opportunities to understand. I am however pleased with the results so far.

I received this product in exchange for a fair and honest review. To be honest, I did not have high hopes for this product as I have tried so many with no success. You see, I have two sister cats who have already spread their pheromones all over the house and regardless of commercial product or home remedy that I have tried, they keep going back to scratch.

So I use nail caps but their desire to scratch keeps them popping off a lot but that is pretty much the only thing that’s preventing my couch from having the fabric completely clawed off. I do believe that once cats have spread their pheromones by clawing things, it is nearly impossible to prevent it from happening in the future.

So while I think that this product might be effective in training a new cat, I think it’s too late in our house. Otherwise I like the size of the product and how easy the product sprays and that the smell is not completely offensive or noticeable.

Again I think it’s more of my cats versus this product.

I have four cats. It’s tough to use this without traumatizing all of them. Sadly, it uses the same pheromone scent as a the calming spray we bought from Nature’s Miracle and calming collars, so now, I spray the calming spray and my 3 -year-old cat freaks out and runs away.

The one or two times I used the “Stop That” was for actual “cat fights” to break it up, and it literally scared them so badly, they were in hiding for hours. I don’t know that this works with more than one cat.

Even then, it’s pretty terrifying. I’ve just started hissing at them. Same effect, and while the product has a pleasant enough scent, it’s now a trauma trigger for my cats. Problematic when it’s supposed to calm them.

How confusing. It’s too bad it’s not a brief, sound (quieter, too) w/o the scent. It feels like spanking your kid while saying “I love you. “.
