20 Best Catchers Bag 2021 (2022 Updated)

My Juniors Div son needed a bigger bag. He is not a catcher but carries 3 gloves 2 bats 2 pairs of spikes. Helmet, sunglasses, sleeves, batting gloves. All fits just right. Only improvement would be a white lining.

Its a big bag. black hole. Need to be able to see gear better in a dark dugout.

I bought this backpack for my son (Freshman in High School) because hauling the his Easton Pro X bag was difficult when getting on a bus. The backpack seems to be constructed well for the price. I was very disappointed that there is very little room for his shin guards (they BARELY fit in the slots).

In addition to his catchers gear, he still needs to put his infielders glove, smaller catchers practice glove and bands in there. There is literally no more room for anything else once the chest protector and helmet are place in there (his cleats barely fit).

The bag will get him by, but he will be switching back to his larger bag when he starts back with his travel team in the summer (he’s not going to attach his batting helmet to the outside of the backpack).

I’m not sure I would recommend this backpack.

I bought this for my 10 year old son. He is a catcher and plays on seveal teams. The bag is not big enough for a complete set of catching equipment, a fielders glove, a catcher’s mitt, and batter’s helmet.

The shins fit snug and have to be shoved in the side pockets. The catcher’s helmet and chest protector barely fit in the middle pocket and sometimes have to be repackaged several times. Following each game, it takes an inordinate amount of time to package his bag up and still it is way too heavy to carry.

Poor design and I do not recommend. My son used this bag twice and it was returned.

Needed to update our grandson’s catchers bag!! So far, this has been a very nice bag. Holds all his gear, bats, gloves and water bottle with plenty of extra room. Pulls smoothly and easily!!

Ordered 2 of these Rawlings catchers bags. Plenty of room and good quality. Removable flap is nice to get the personalized for our catchers.

Bag holds everything it says it can hold. Only negative is after two weeks the nylon handle at bottom of bag torn completely off. this handle would be used to lift up bag and load into car.

I received this catchers wheeled bag and the first thing that popped out to me was the construction of the bag. The molded top handle is something that I have not see in a catchers bag before. The wheels roll smooth and seem very durable.

Not basic wheels, look and feel like off road wheels. The padded compartment for your glove or helmet is really nice. Very spacious in that area. The main compartment is very large and can fit your chest protector and leg guards and still have room for other equipment.

The J hooks are nice touch if you wanted to hang the bag, but I believe this bag would be able to stand up on its own if you would prefer that. The bag has extra storage pockets for other gear. If you’re an umpire and want to find a bag for your gear for those long tournaments, If you this bag is priced well, I would recommend grabbing this bag for your gear.

You will not be disappointed!.

This bag is HUGE! My 10 yr old had trouble rolling it. But if you have lots of gear and can fill the bag, you will appreciate the size. His catcher’s gear, batting helmet, gloves, cleats and 2 bats were not enough to fill it, which caused sagging and dragging.

after 2 weeks of use the fabric on the back had started to fray. Not a great choice for our use but maybe better suited for a high schooler with larger/more gear (or a coach!). Went back to baseball savings (cuz we LOVE this company) and purchased the Mizuno Samurai Catchers Wheeled Bag X which is perfect and better quality.

The underside of the bag is not stiff enough on its own. Even with 3 -4 bats in the bag and full of gear it bends in several places. The wheels are bowed out so the bag drags on the ground on most surfaces.

The hanging hooks are attached to the top of the bag, not the bottom — get your bats out before hanging it up. The insulated liner on the hydration pouch tore of one edge (but I use at as extra gear/accessory pouch).

— The good: The handles & zippers have been just fine. Plenty of space for extra accessories (grip stick, sun screen, etc) and wallet, keys & phone.

My daughter has two helmets, two bats, three gloves, her personal equipment (phone, sunglasses, snacks), balls, her shin guards with knee savers, and her chest covering in this bag. Even when she doesn’t throw it all in the bag organized.

it fits. She loves it because It. All. Fits. I love it because I don’t have to carry anything! It rolls easily and it hangs on the fence. She has easy access to everything! The ONLY thing we don’t put in the bag are her shoes.

There’s a place for them but she uses that compartment for her catchers mitt/ball because her preference is not to risk the stink. Instead she hangs her shoes on her bats. It just works. Definitely recommend this bag to anyone who needs space.

Best part. she isn’t even using some of the side compartments at all! I can’t say enough good things about this bag!.

So far so good. My daughter is 12 and using the Mizuno intermediate set. We can fit her leg guards,CP, catchers mit, batting helmet, field glove. The pocket for the helmet isn’t as deep as I’d hoped, but we’re still figuring it out which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

Shoe compartment is solid. There is a bat sleeve on the outside which is cool AND the side zipper pockets are very deep and usable. Overall, happy with the purhcase and for the price its a GREAT catchers bag.

This bag has adequate space for my 11U player to hold all of his catcher gear. He has a separate bag for his regular helmet, gloves, etc, but this bag could hold it if needed. A retractable handle would be the only feature I would add, but it would just add a piece that could possibly break.

This bag seems rugged and I hope it lasts a couple of years. We purchased it on sale and I feel the price is reasonable for the quality and size of the product in comparison to other comparable bags.

We have owned multiple different types of catchers bags, some much more expensive than this. However this bag is so much lighter and is so much easier to maneuver while still being plenty big enough for my 13 year old’s catcher’s gear.

Purchased the “Black” Rawlings R1801 Wheeled Catchers Back Pack. My daughter loves it. It has multiple compartments and will take care of all her catching and softball equipment. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is that this is a GRAY bag.

It is not black. It also took over a month to be delivered because it was not in stock.

I bought this bag because I needed some more room since I’m coaching teams and playing as well. This bag is huge. I can fit a body in this thing. The breakaway top is an excellent feature as well. Delivery was extremely quick, had it in time for next game.

Only Con: the bat inserts need to be engineered a lil better I think on the inner part of the bag should have either a velcro strap or stretch string hole to hold the bat in place better on the inside.

It kind of just wanders around inside bag, but the holes are durable.

THE GOOD. it’s a good sized bag and it’s cool looking. THE BAD. the zipper does not have stop on it. If you unzip it all the way (which you will do) the zipper separates like the zipper on your coat.

I installed my own zipper stop and fixed the problem but it’s just dumb that I had to do that. The other dumb thing. the bat compartments. Have the bag full then try to stuff your bat in there. see how that goes.

Yeah, you can put your bats in first, then load the bag. That’s great until you pull a bat out. Now you can’t get the bat back in without unloading the bag.

This bag is high quality, but there are a few things I don’t like. The straps are a bit weird, but what I lose there, I gain with space in the bag. If they could figure out the straps, this bag would be perfect.

My 16u son loves this bag. It is by far his favorite of all the bags he has had. He catches, pitches and plays infield. He can’t use a wheeled catchers bag because of space on the school bus that his team travels in.

He doesnt like the backpack type bags that are big enough to carry all his gear because you can’t see the stuff in the bottom, or get to it very easily. He is able to get his adult sized All Star gear, his mitt, his infield glove and batting helmet and his evo shield guards in this duffel with no problem.

He carries his team clothes, one bat and he puts his spikes on top of the bag once it’s closed up. He loves that his elbow guard attaches to the Velcro on the outside, and he loves the soft pouch for his phone, ear buds, wallet and keys.

The only problem we have is quality. I am back on this site today looking to replace this bag again. We have had 2 of these come apart starting at the seams. It may be that he puts more in the bag than it’s designed to handle, but it should be designed to handle it all since it all fits in there without a problem.

I am having trouble finding the navy or black in stock, and we think this may be a sign that we need to find a new brand duffel bag to carry all of his gear. It’s a shame, because this bag fits all of his needs and all of his gear.

I wish evo shield would re-invent this bag – in the same size – with the same compartments – maybe add a side pocket that would carry a large water or Gatorade bottle – and a shoe compartment (my sons size 12 metal spike cleats won’t fit inside the bag with everything else in it – so he uses what we think is a shoe compartment for clothes – he also doesn’t want the metal spikes to tear the bag, so he would never try to shove them in the very tight compartment) We are really sad that we can’t find this bag in stock, and we must have one soon, because he is afraid he is going to start losing things out of the holes in the bag… so we have searched and waited for this bag for too long now.

Time to try a different brand.

This bag has some good design qualities. it fills the need of a hard-to-find, medium-sized duffle for baseball players. But the quality suffers and is compromised in almost every possible way. My son has owned two of these bags, and both have ripped and/or had a broken zipper and/or a broken strap well before his season was over.

Clearly Evoshield made a decision at every crucial moment to choose low cost over quality construction. which is too bad because this bag fulfills a very specific need for certain baseball players who don’t need a large roller bag, but also have graduated from the middle school baseball player backpack.

Major squandered opportunity here. Hopefully, they are paying attention to all the commenters who are saying the same thing, and will made better decisions regarding quality next time.

Purchased this bag on a recommendation from a friend who also has a son that used this same duffle bag to carry his baseball catchers gear. I am extremely disappointed that after only one week of use, the bag has torn near the zipper of the main compartment (see photos).

I recently submitted a warranty claim for my son’s bag and hope that EvoShield will address the problem. We have purchased several EvoShield products in the past and never experienced anything like this before.

Because size matters. This bag is big enough to easily hold: One medium adult Mizuno Samurai catchers set, two pairs of cleats women’s size 8, two infield gloves, one catchers mitt, batting helmet and room leftover.

It has two optional shelves, you can fold it flat and have a huge bag or add one or both shelves to keep things separate and organize. I opened up both shelves, top has three gloves, middle had all catchers gear and batting helmet, bottom has 2 pairs of cleats and a pair of sliders.

One side pocket has bat and batting gloves and the other has personal items like sunglasses, extra socks, face wipes.

The catchers bag is large and can handle all my son’s gear. BUT, very disappointed it wasn’t able to even make it through a half of a season with out tearing and ripping. The pocket that holds his shin guards “ripped” or “shredded” apart in only about 5 weeks of use.

This is entirely too expensive too not even get 1 summer season out of it. Very disappointed. Definitely do not recommend! DO NOT BUY!!.

A great bag that’s roomy and functional for all my son’s catchers gear and his regular gear. And some extra pockets for goodies. And it looks great!! Bonus!! I recommend this bag to parents that has a Catcher in the Family.

My son is a travel ball catcher. We purchased an Easton 37″x17″ non wheeled/large zip closure bag 4ish years back. It was uber durable but the zipper Stitching began to come undone and we had to reorder.

**Take Note** YOUR SITE: is the only retailer among all big names and direct manufacturer that carried the dimensions and function needed. You should stock up! Real ball players don’t need wheels and bat caddies for catching gear.

it’s an armor that deserves its own.

This is a nice and simple equipment bag. There are no special packets just one main compartment. There are two big zippers with loops for a small lock. This bag is big enough to carry a lot of team equipment (bats, groves, batting helmets, catchers gear…) and should work well for any sport or activity bag.

There is no shoulder strap but the hand straps seem to be strong.

Large bag for all of your baseball equipment. I use this to store my kids’ training equipment like bases/plate, tee, my gloves, cones and ladder, balls and more importantly Camwood bats and fungo. Now I can transport equipment from back of my truck to the field in one trip.

Got this for my daughter who plays a lot and loves softball. Just turned 9, she struggled loading her gear in to her old backpack style bag. She was always the last girl oit of the dugout fighting with her gear to get it in to the bag.

This has so much room and individual pockets its crazy. The zippers are stout and have havy duty teeth. The wheels and the telescopic pull handle are also stoutly made. The entire pack is vey sturdy and well made i have no doubt it will out live our ability to keep it clean.

The only thing i would do is add holes to the end of the zipper pull tabs. The zipper pull tabs are sizable and sturdy, however the bag is huge and does require some manipulation to locate the zippers.

I will drill a hole in the end of each zipper tab and add brightly colored pull string just to make them easier to locate and operate. Highly recommend.

My daughter (14U travel) had this bag last season. Not that it is a big deal; however, one bat sleeve had BOOMBAH written upside down. What was extremely disappointing was the fact that after 2 weeks of use it started to fall apart.

The fence hook broke, the backpack straps came unstitched from the back of the bag, the velcro bat straps broke, and the zipper for the bottom compartment that she puts her helmet in broke, so now she walks around carrying her helmet with the flap hanging open.

On top of that, each side has rips in it. She is not hard on her equipment; but I would assume Boombah would make a bag that can withstand the type of treatment a bat bag receives, especially for the price.

I’ve had Easton bags that lasted longer. And here I am this season having to purchase another bag from Boombah, because it will have to match the team. Also, I would suggest the backpack bag and the wheeled bag combine so that the option is there to pull the back rather than hike it up on her back.

I like the idea of the backpack bag because it allows her to stay more organized, and it takes up less space in the dugout and in the trunk; however I cringe whenever she has to strap that think to her back.

I think the bag can’t support the weight of all that gear, which is why the backpack straps came unstitched from the bag. C’mon Boombah, pull it together and make a bag that realistically lasts more than 1/2 a season! We want our players’ gear to look as good as their game.

I got this bag for slow pitch softball as I seem to keep buying bats and my 2 bat bag (easton) wasn’t cutting it and was over filled with stuff. This Bag is just down right big. Double hooks on the top to attach it to a fence, very comfortable shoulder straps make it a breeze to wear (backpack style with a center chest clip).

Holds 4 bats easily and securely. Has 2 outer pockets on each side, one mesh, one zippered. The inside is spacious with a velcro shelf to separate the “shoe” compartment from the gear compartment. The lower “shoe” compartment is mesh/vented so if you forget a pair of socks you won’t get a rotten whiff of toe stench the next time you open it up.

So my old easton pack had a handy “batting glove zone” which was just a couple of strips of velcro on the outside so you could just slap them on it and hit the field, making it easy to find/prepare for an at bat, anyways, I was terribly sad to not see any velcro on this pack.

but wait what is this? Could it be? it IS! The boombah logo on the front of the pack is the velcro material so this pack absolutely has it all, and the price is pretty reasonable compared to other more well known brands.

Lets start off by saying that I’m shocked. This is the redesigned Wire2Wire catchers bag. The first version didn’t last too long and I upgraded my son to a Bownet Bag. I was skeptical when I got this one to review.

I asked myself is everything going to fit? Boy was I wrong. this new Wire2Wire catcher’s bag is redesigned. It is larger in size and the quality of the zippers have been upgraded. My biggest problem with the old design was that after a few months the zippers will fall apart.

Almost felt like I had too much stuff inside and the zippers will rip and unzip. This new bag seems like they paid attention to the zippers and they look a little bit more heavy duty. The things I like with the BowNet vs.

Wire2Wire are as follows. 1. Having a pull handle almost feels like a suitcase a big plus in my opinion, easier to pull. 2. The ability for the bag to stand up on itself is also a plus, Wire2Wire does not.

3. The oversized Wheels is also a plus. 4. All the extra compartments is convenient to have, Wire2Wire doesn’t have as much. But don’t be mistaken this Wire2Wire bag has enough space as the BowNet and some.

I was able to fit 6 bats, multiple gloves, 2 catchers helmets with gear, cleats, batting helmet and some accessories. All that for a fraction of the price of a brand new BowNet. Will I recommend it?? I will if you don’t want to shoot out the money for a BowNet.

I had high hopes for this bag. Lots of cool features and great handles. Unfortunately, it fell short in a couple critical areas concerning the zippers. The main compartment zipper is big, beefy, super-strong.

Once it’s zipped up, it’s Fort Knox. The zippers on the side compartments and the bat flap are smaller, but still function well and stay shut. That takes us to the glove and shoe compartments at the top and bottom of the bag.

These are cheaper, flimsy zippers that won’t stay zipped closed. They pull apart with the slightest pressure and it’s very difficult to get them zipped shut again. And even if you do get them zipped, the two sides of the zippers just come apart again.

I don’t understand why they couldn’t use the same, bulky zipper they used on the main compartment for the rest of the compartments. This bag would be a grand slam (pun!) if they did that. But unfortunately, it is pretty much useless for me with these cheap zippers that don’t work.

Son loves it, however, we found that it could be a little bigger. The exterior and upper pocket are what you would expect. But the middle storage compartment is a little smaller then a person may want.

12U baseball player, one glove top pocket, which leaves another glove, chest protector, 2 helmets in the main compartment, and it is tight. Parental help is needed to get it all in there. Other then that it was a great purchase, and we will figure out the packing by the end of the season.

Great construction, lite, and a heck of a lot easier to carry around then drag.

Purchased this for my daughter for her softball gear to replace her GRIT bag. Large enough to hold all of her catching, infielders and batting gear, but smaller for her to carry. She is very happy.

I bought 12 bags for our entire team and is very exciting for the players as you can imagine. The bag comes with a zip-on piece on the front and is tailor-made to have number vinyl’d on. So that is what I did (before seeing if all 13 pieces zipped on to bag.

). Side note – before you buy any (sports, school, etc) backpack do you check EVERY zipper to see if it works? No? I thought so. Anyway, after I took ALL the pieces to have vinyl adhered to the center of the area for our team, one of the pieces would not zip on to one of the bags.

Simply the zipper malfunctioned and it did NOT zip on. I started a “case” with boombah and submitted photos and explanation. Note, I was not upset. I just figured I would share the malfunction of one of the 12 bags I purchased (at $69.

99 EACH, no discount). I was told someone would contact me directly within 24 hours. No call so I call at about 30 hours in. I was told that because I put vinyl stickers to the pieces (or had the piece modified) that they do not honor the repair.

And they do not sell the separate piece separately. All of this was spoken to me without an apology or understanding that nothing I could have done would affected the zipper operation. Nor did the recognize we just spent over $800 for backpacks and they couldn’t make a reasoned decision to assist me.

They have ruined my faith in their brand and lost my business as a coach/parent forever. Terribly weak customer service and policy. Do they recognize their sales demographics are generally volunteer coaches and full-time professional Moms/Dads that simply expect quality equipment (which it is, to be fair) at a decent price but, most importantly, some understanding that sometimes replacing one piece of fabric could lock in a customer for life with a compounding effect as we are pumping their name every weekend or every Spring, Summer and Fall of every year.

I probably should have done more research. I did not realize this bag did not have backpack straps. Some of the fields parking lots are gravel and the rollers do not work very well, so my 10 year old has a hard time carrying the bag with the small handle on top.

Also the front pockets cannot be used effectively if the main bag is full of gear, which it is always full of gear. The bottom of the bag and side webbing are already worn and frayed. The bag looks great and holds just enough of his catcher’s gear but the rest is a very tight fit.

I would recommend this bag for T-Ball catchers or catchers in small gear. My son is a huge 10 year old and this bag is not big or durable enough for the spring season.

Its exactly what I ordered and on time ! Alwats have a great experience with this company ! My sons both play Baseball and I can always fing what I need here !
