When I opened all 3 containers instead of see the fresh pink meat l saw what appeared to be a dried out jerky looking substance.

I bought a tub of this bait after watching videos and reading review with high hopes of it working well for channel cats. I went to a spot on Lake Travis, where I always can catch a cat from the bank, I rigged up with a slip (egg) sinker rig, I used one pole with Secret 7 on a Team Catfish Furry Thing and waited, waited and waited.
10 min wasted; not even a nibble, reloaded the Furry Thing and still nothing. I switched hooks and slipped a hot dog on a 4/0 Gamakatsu Octopus Circle hook and within 5 min I had a bite. The second strike was a catch on hot dog.
Switched to worms another catfish. I tried the same set up on the San Gabriel River off Lake Georgetown last night (June 27) same result nothing. Switched to 4/0 Gamakatsu circle hook and shrimp. line was stripped from my reel and fish on.
16″ channel cat. Wormed up a second pole and 12″ channel cat within 10 min. I am not impressed at all, frankly I am disappointed in the bait. I can and have caught more catfish on hot dogs, worms and shrimp than this bait.
Fellow Anglers: Don’t even waste your time/money with this product! I’ve been chasing catfish since I was a kid and I’ve witnessed 1st hand the evolution of “stink/punch baits” and have tried them all.
Reading the reviews, I decided to give the new kid on the bank a try (over a two day period) and all I can say is this product is not worth the plastic tub it comes in!!! I would “punch” my FURRY THaNG Circle Hook (love this product by the way) into the tub and it would “load” up nice.
I’d then give it a gentle cast only to watch the Secret-7 fly off the FURRY THaNG about 3 feet past the end of my cast! I know cheese based punch baits can get soft when it is warm outside but I kept the Secret-7 in the fridg & packed it to the lake in a cooler with ice to keep it firm – but it would still come off! One time I made a cast to an area a little closer to the shore than I wanted to.
so, I realed in immediately to re-cast. No kidding, my FURRY THaNG was so clean you’d thought I hadn’t punched it in the bait at all! I’m sticking (pun intended) with my Benny Roberts Sure Shot punch bait.
Heck, you have to deliberately clean Sure Shot out of a FURRY THaNG because it is there to stay! How can one expect to catch fish with Secret-7 if all you’re doing is chumming the water with it!?!.

I liked the combination of colors – I picked up rainbow and pink lemonade. First time using it, had trouble getting it to stay on (and still am). I’m going to switch from a single hook to a treble next time.
I reeled up twice to find my bait had come off. It stayed on the next time and I caught a beautiful rainbow, 6. 25 lbs. Very very impressed with this bait.
This brand never fails us!! We have been using this power bait to catch fish since we were little and we always limit out! My favorite is the rainbow with glitter. I don’t know why but I swear the fish like it more.

i’ve used a lot of it and it used to be real good dip bait for channels, I could go thru a container every 2-3 weeks. but it’s been totally ruined. the color originally was a real light tan, now it’s a dark crappy color and looks to be about 40% of some kind of grain, has a weird smell and gets real runny in the least little bit of a warm day.
I sure won’t be buying anymore and will not recommend it to the serious catfish hunters. DEFINITELY not the same original bait formula. save your money.
I live in Northern Oklahoma and the last few years for fishing hasn’t been to awesome for us. I saw the Premo Blood online with awesome reviews so i bought it at walmart and hit the river. Not even 5 mins after my first cast i reeled in a nice blue.
We had bites left and right and reeled in 8 cats in that time. Definitely recommend to anyone! Going back out first thing in the morning.
I purchased this a couple weeks ago. When I went to use the first time I was trying to put it on a treble hook with spring, but it wouldn’t stay on it. I purchased sponge treble hooks and it works. Yesterday I caught 3 blue catfish and missed a few more do to taking fish off one pole.

Not comparable to Power Bait/Berkley crappie nibblets. These were not as effective when compared with Power Bait/Berkley. The crappie bite would not release sent as it got into the water like Power bait/Berkley nibblets do.

I fish for winter trout in a public stocked city lake, which has muck and filamentous algae (green slime) on the bottom; this bait floats well on a light hook, very visible no mess or bad smell. I used a split shot on 4# line to keep it floating about a foot off the bottom out of the ‘slime’.
If it doesn’t float add a little more bait or use a lighter Aberdeen hook. I still use crawlers, as they seem to catch slightly bigger fish, but for action you can’t beat this. Stores easily, eliminates the need for marsh mellows, cheese, corn, liver and other stuff that goes bad and stinks.
This bait doesn’t smell as strong as other Berkley products I’ve used, worms, minnows and shrimp. I’ve actually re-used if from fish I’ve cleaned and still caught fish, LOL!.
Bought this after seeing people using it online with good luck. I dont know if I was given a bottle that has been in the warehouse for a long time or what, but no matter how I work it, it will not stay on the hook after going into the water.
I have not caught a thing on this. I’m contemplating buying a bottle from Walmart and seeing if I have the same issues or not.
