As usual, you really feel connected with the characters.

truly enjoy Savich and Sherlock and although there wasn’t as much action, the suspense was still there.

Sally was running from her home after seeing her dead father. Police believed she possibly killed him. Sally had been. placed in a sanitarium by her father and husband. Sally saw her father abuse her mother several times.

James, a special FBI agent, went to a town called the Cove to find Sally. His story was to find a couple that had been missing for months. He was posing as a PI. He located Sally and soon gained her trust.

This book is very intriguing. The characters are strange especially the seniors in the Cove. Sally knows that James believes her about the sanitarium and the evil doctor there. Sally’s father hates her and does his best to kill her.

Also her aunt that she has trusted, is involved in her father’s evil plans. This is the second book in the series that I have read. I enjoyed the book and recommend it if you like thrillers, FBI mysteries and romance.

I rated this only 4 stars because I don’t like the language she uses. But good story overall. Well written and very intriguing. Makes me want to keep reading until I finish the book. I never read any of Catherine Coulter’s books before so this book and author is new to me.

This is the first book in the FBI series by Catherine Coulter. The Cove is a little quiet vacation town until Sally Brainerd comes to town, followed closely by FBI Agent James Quinlan. The FBI think Sally knows information about a murder so Agent Quinlan befriends her to gain her trust.

But does Sally really know the truth? And what does the towns people of The Cove really know about the murder? Filled with lots of suspense and plot twists this was a bit hard to get into in the beginning, I was a little confused as to what was going on, but i stayed with it and enjoyed finding out what was really going in The Cove.

This book is the third addition in this series. I have not finished reading it. The other 2 books were very enjoyable. I like this series even better than her regular FBI series. Good readinf.

This is part of Catherine Coulter’s FBI series. #3 of a second duo. This is Englishman Nicholas and American Mickala. I have read this book TWICE, it’s that good. The action only gets better as the book goes on to an action packed ending!.

Catherine Coulter and J. T. Ellison have done it again. Twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. I can’t wait until the next Nicholas Drummond adventure.

I love justified revenge: Four Brothers, Carrie, Taken, Remember, True Grit and my all-time favorite The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Now that is some beautifully orchestrated justified revenge! And I can’t wait for Jennifer Garner’s new movie, Peppermint.

That one looks awesome! The problem is that everyone who seeks revenge thinks it’s justified. That’s what’s going on in Catherine Coulter’s latest Sherlock and Savich case, “Paradox”. The book begins with a botched kidnapping of their son Sean.

While trying to figure out who could want to kidnap him and why, they are called in to assist in another case. Willicott, Maryland’s police chief witnesses a murder early one morning while gazing at the lake from her home.

When local officials drag the lake for the body, they discover bones from several bodies. A subsequent search uncovers an odd clue as to whom the bodies may belong. This seemingly idyllic little town has lots of secrets and a creepy murder house to boot! Meanwhile, they discover that the kidnapper may be someone out for revenge and they must stop him before their family and others are devastated.

A great read for any Sherlock and Savich fans. Coulter tackles forgiveness and mental illness in this one, too. Good story; this one has a truly satisfying ending! Ive read all Catherine Coulters FBI series. Loved every one. I could hardly put this one down, it was so exciting. Finished it in two days. Definitely worth the price

This book is quite suspenseful. Her books are always a good read, and plot keeps you interested. Challenging to figure out before the ending who did what… Definitely would recommend

I am a big fan of C. C. I especially like this series. It has all the expected suspense and twists and turns that make this series a good read. This latest book has served this series well. I was not disappointed at all.

Bought this product because I like the Catherine Coulter FBI series and read as many as I can. This book was just as good as all the others.

The story line keeps you involved. The characters are believable, and it stays on track.

This is one of the most exciting books I have ever read. It grabs you by the throat in the first scene, and does not let go until the story is over. Normally, when I read I can watch television, or play on the computer at the same time.

I did not want to do anything but read this book from cover to cover. This is the latest book in the FBI series, which I collect, so I bought this one. I really enjoy the adventures of Sherlock and Savich, and was looking forward to reading about them again.

This book did not disappoint. I got to catch up with my old friends, Sherlock and Savich, and their various FBI cronies, and families. In this book, I made new friends of Ethan, Joanna, and Autumn. Lissy and Victor and Blessed and his family were excellent villians.

I think I may have nightmares about Blessed. he was one very scary individual. This book would work as a stand-alone, meaning that if you’ve never read another book by Catherine Coulter, this book tells an excellent story of its own.

The characters are very well written, and the descriptions are such that you can see their faces in your minds eye. I highly reccommend this book. If you’re looking for a fast-paced, edgy story, this book is for you.

I a new fan of Catherine Coulter, I like both her historic serials and the FBI serial books. I just finished Knockout, good FBI serial book. What I like about Catherine’s FBI books are the in depth research on forensics.

I always learn something new about crime. When a book makes me talk back to it. that proves to me this is a good book. Some of the FBI serial also deal with the occult, & so does this book. I don’t like scarry books and this one is not on the scarry scale.

its more NCIS plus added romance. I like the way the author adds Sherlock and Dillion’s family life in each serial. The villians kept me guessing, and I like that. Of course good always over rides evil.

And for some reason, I am thinking there is a sequel with Autumn the child character in this series, because of the ending. I think you will enjoy this book.

This book, one of many I have read in the last several years by Coulter. It was well written, but the story line was initially beyond reasonable and logical. The silliness of a “wiccanesque” story tried my patience but the two story lines made it more than palatable.

It was nice to see Sherlock being focused on.

This starts off with quite a bit of action, plenty of mystery and then a twist with Sherlock that had me instantly drawn into this book. I loved the initial scenes with Dillon and her as well as the problem they are facing, primarily Sherlock.

And I settled down for a thrilling thriller. Suddenly, the scene changes and we are with Griffin and Carson. These two share a common gift that leads them into quite a mystery as well as some paranormal kind of activity.

While the writing became stilted at this point, I was invested enough to ignore it. Unfortunately, I had to wade through a lot of characters who had nothing to do with the story, as well as unnecessary information and repetition.

Everything began to lag. I set it aside hoping I’d feel it more the next time I picked it up. Nope. Didn’t happen. I began to skim. I skimmed some more. I eventually managed to dig out the nuggets of the story and enjoyed it despite the work I had to put in to do so.

To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I read Enigma by this same author and absolutely loved everything about it. I was expecting the same type of writing as well as a wicked twisty plot. There are definitely some twists, but I was exhausted by the time I reached them.

I understand that this author is a fan favorite and I’m hundred percent sure my response to this book is entirely a “me” thing. I’m sure her diehard fans are going to love this one. I’m just sorry to say it didn’t work for me.

Catherine Coulter is one of my favorite authors, so I read everything she writes. I especially like the Savich and Sherlock stories, along with the paranormal story lines. Unlike one of the other reviews, I didn’t think this was stilted at all.

As a matter of fact, for me Coulter was doing her normal character building to add a little deception and twist into who might be the true villain in this novel. I like her strong characters, including Carson’s character.

This story had just enough questionable characters it took me a while to figure out who might be the true “bad guy. ” I liked this book and am looking for the next Coulter book to be released.

It’s a good weekend read. I enjoy this series, again Catherine Coulter weaves familiar story lines together.

Loved this book. I have All the Kendrick/Coulter series. I enjoyed the set soooooooo much I have ordered the Harrigan set. Which will give me ALL of them. Definitely will reread the series more than once.

This is book number (I do believe) 7 in the Coulter Series. I love Catherine Andersons’ books and `Sun Kissed’ was no exception. I have to admit that after reading her previous book, I didn’t like Tucker much.

I thought he was a hard nosed jerk. I wondered how Catherine would write a book about him. I was a bit shocked and somewhat disheartened to see that his personality was different than in previous books.

Yes he was still meticulous and very organized, but the toughness, hardness and skeptical attitude he had in the previous book was gone. The story has Tucker getting himself “cuffed and stuffed” after trying to step in and save Samantha from a drunk who is abusing his horse.

Turns out Samantha owns a horse breeding ranch and shortly after the incident her horses start getting sick. under suspicious circumstances. Tucker is called in as her vet and the romantic sparks fly.

I loved how the story brought in a few of the characters from other books and laughed my head off at the potion of the book that involved Jakes’ daughter. I did love the book, but there were lots of little things that left me feeling weird.

The biggest is that the book was way too predictable. I don’t know if that was intentional or not, but it isn’t how I prefer my books. I don’t want to know “who did it” until the end of the book. While in the beginning I loved the character of Samantha, towards the end she started to grate on me.

Her premarital sex issues didn’t bother me at all, and the religious comments at first were fine with me. However, towards the end it got to be way to much. It just seemed like overkill. Plus, why would having sex not be okay one night but then fine the next.

Was it the “I love you” that made it no longer a sin? To me it just didn’t fly. Having her feel guilty about every little thing began to irritate me, and having so much religion at the end had me feeling like the book just didn’t end right.

Don’t get me wrong. I loved the book and will re-read it, as I do all of her books. The book had a great plot and a wonderful love story, it was just the little things that got to me.

I had just recently discovered this author, and was very pleased with this book. This is a light romance novel. If you’re wanting a happy ending this is the book for you.

She is assisted in her search by new friends, Judith Gladstone and Kenzie Gifford, along with Caleb’s friend, and former client, Patrick Murdoch. The search moves from Caleb’s fashionable neighborhood to poverty-stricken ones to the infamous Barbary Coast.

Camri, an advocate for education and women’s rights, comes face to face with her own biases as her eyes are opened to the needs of others, and as her view of what comprises an education broadens. I highly recommend In Places Hidden, and look forward to reading Judith’s story when the second book in this series is released.

My Review of “In Places Hidden” by Tracie Peterson The first thing I said after finishing “In Places Hidden” by Tracie Peterson was: ” When is Book 2 Coming Out!” “In Places Hidden” is Book 1 in the Golden Gate Secrets series and it’s a page turner for sure! Not only is it filled with mystery, intrigue, and surprises, it also has a sweet romance and a reminder of how life was in the early 1900’s in San Francisco.

Camrianne Coulter, the main character in the story, is an independent young women who is highly educated and from a wealthy family in Chicago. She is active in the Woman’s Sufferage Movement and is very out spoken.

She also has a strong faith in God and prayer. She travels alone to San Francisco to search for her missing brother, Caleb, and meets two other women of different backgrounds on the train. The three soon become friends and all end up staying together in Caleb’s home in San Francisco.

The story winds around the search for Caleb and the people Camrianne and her friends meet in San Francisco. Faith, prayer, and trust in God are a very prominent part in all of their everyday happenings.

I really enjoyed this book and I do look forward to reading the next book in this series. I received this book from Bethany House Publishers but was not required to give a positive review. All opinions are my own.

I have always enjoyed reading Tracie Peterson’s books. When I was given a chance for an early reader copy I was so excited. I immediately asked and received a copy of the book through Bethany House publishing.

So, now that you know I was given the book, let me assure you that the review is my own opinion and not required. I loved this book from the very beginning. You are immediately introduced to three single women getting off a train in San Francisco in the early 1900s.

All three have a reason for going to San Francisco and agree to team up to accomplish their goals. The first goal tackled is about Camri and her missing brother. The other two women’s problems are mentioned but will be tackled in the coming books in the series.

Camri’s missing brother is the center of this book that is full of mystery and intrigue, political corruption and murder. I was immediately hooked and it held my attention throughout. It was a book that was easy to read and I didn’t lose interest at all.

It is a Christian book and that shines throughout. It is not just barely touched, as in some books, but not preachy either. It shows how Camri, already a Christian, grows in her faith. This book is also a romance story but not just romance.

In fact, the romance almost seems like an aside to the story. The book also touches on the different classes of people in the early 1900s, the elite and the poor. The criminals and the lawful, and the prejudices of the day.

How people in San Francisco looked down on the Irish and Chinese. All of these are addressed in a most interesting way in this book. I highly recommend you read this.

This is a very gripping, well written book. Hard to put down. Love Catherine Coulter’s books.

I have read all of Coulter’s FBI thrillers and this one did not disappoint.

Mrs. Coulter is a great author. We’ve read all but the last couple she has written. We really enjoy the character’s in her books. She employs enough intrigue to keep it interesting but not so much as to be confusing.

4. 5★s The Dilemma is the fourth novel by British author, B. A. Paris. Livia Harman has an awful secret she’s choosing to reveal after her massive fortieth birthday party. It’s one of those devastating secrets that, when it comes out, is going to severely unbalance the lives of those close to her.

Her son Josh has a piece of news that’s not going to go down well with his father, and her daughter Marnie is definitely hiding something. Her husband Adam has a few surprises for her birthday, but will they be welcomed? It looks like the night of June eighth might not end well.

To say much more about the plot without spoilers is difficult. Told in hourly instalments, mostly over the twenty-four-hour period from the morning of Livia’s long-awaited party, this is a dual narrative from the perspectives of Livia and Adam.

The reader is shown the interpretation that each of them puts on the events and encounters during that time, with backstories provided through flashbacks. It is quickly clear that Livia and Adam and their family and friends care very much about one another so their dilemmas involve deciding what will do least harm to those they love.

However, (and this will frustrate some readers) they do both spend quite a lot of time agonising about situations when they are not in command of all the facts, and expend a lot of energy second-guessing and imagining worst-case scenarios.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. This book takes place at Livia’s fortieth birthday party. She has invited all her friends and family. The only person that cannot make it to the party is her daughter Marnie.

Marnie is out of the country for school. If there was ever a book that gave me anxiety, this would be this book! I don’t experience anxiety on a normal day to day, but everything that happened in this book kept me on the edge of my seat in a constant panic.

A wife that is hiding something large from her husband and a husband that is hiding something even bigger from his wife. The “Dilemma” book is over the course of a twenty four hour period. We experience trauma with both Livia and Adam.

It takes Livia awhile before she discovers a secret but she decides to put it aside until after the party. Adam discovers a horrible truth but refuses to get confirmation. He makes himself physical ill just not making one phone call he needs to make.

I’m not sure I could wait on a phone call like that even though I might know the answer is not what I want to hear. This book is very good but also very hard to read emotionally. I wouldn’t suggest this one to everyone I know but it is a good read.

This is my book group choice for the month. It is gripping and hard to put down. I always go to wob first when looking to buy a book. They have an excellent range, good value and speedy delivery (I think p&p is free).

Only once had an issue with a book where the first few pages were missing and I was immediately sent a replacement without having to return the original book. Love the recycling element too!.
