I am very happy with my book it is a very good book for teaching our young staff about beef cattle production. It is a book that sets out in simple terms all aspects of cattle production. I can not see how anyone who is interested would not be able to understand this book.

I am sure it is going to be a well used book in our reference library. It is one of a very few books that goes into as much detail as this one does. If there was something that I would like to see better would be a hard cover as it will get a lot of use.

Written in easy to understand plain english, you don’t have to sit there with a dictionary next to you as you read it. thanks this book is going to be very helpful to me as I’m about to retire to the countryside and start a very small horse and cow farm with just me and my wife.

These guys are awesome!! I had bought a bag of beef jerky, it wasn’t too good. I reached out to them, letting them know the issue. They were super kind, attentive, and understanding. Not only did they do more than re-embursed me for my beef jerky.

They sent a kind, hand written letter, apologizing for the minor issue. Not only did they refund me, but they took time out of their day to write that. I can’t think of a single company that I’ve encountered, that cared this much about their coustomers and their experience.

I’ve had thier beef jerky many times before, and never had an issue. Things are bound to happen, because nothing is 100% perfect. What matters is that the issue was resolved in more than a professional manner.

I’ve never had a bad meat stick before. This is the grossest meat stick I’ve ever had the displeasure of tasting. The taste is worse then the dog food factory in town smells. I went to call the customer service number about it and it’s no longer in service.

Looks like the company is out of business now. Seems fitting for the vile substances they try to pass off as food stuffs. Good riddance!.

Paid $20 for this 9oz bag. Took 3 bites and gave the rest to my dog. Overpriced and disgusting is the best way to describe this “jerky”. BTW it’s not jerky. It’s mushy meat in a bag. Makes me puke

ETA: I mentioned the issue I had on our last order in email correspondence with the company. They sent me a complimentary bag of ears with the curly cartilage intact! Dave and Roger are happily crunching again! Brutus and Barnaby is a good company and stands by their products.

Up until this last order, I’ve been 100% pleased with this product. Quick delivery and I can buy in bulk for 1/2 the price as a well-known pet store that claims to be “Smart”. Also, half the time I’ve driven to their store and they are completely out of cow ears.

These are a special treat for our boys (2-3 times weekly) and it’s nice to keep them on hand. BUT, the last bag of ears were cut differently and all the “curly” ends up by where the ears were attached were neatly sliced off.

That’s the part the dogs like to chew on the most! I hope it was just a fluke, and that the next bag will contain the entire ear as in the past. Note: The large bag seems to have larger ears where the small bag contains smaller ears.

The small ones are great for our little guy, but I like the big ones for our larger dog. Order accordingly for your dogs.

I rarely come across a pet treat that none of my dogs will eat but in the event that it happens it is nice to know the company stands behind its products!.

I am a big fan of meat sticks but most taste like cardboard and are extremely dry and chewy, not these. They are nice and moist, easy to eat and taste incredible. Also, I like that they use grass feed beef and antibiotic-free pork as those are issues that I feel need more coverage in modern society.

Overall, they are well worth keeping around in your backpack for long hikes!.

Ordered this on a whim. Then it arrived. Unboxing, the lines were clean, simple elegant. It nicely complemented my rustic napsack. Wrapped in its packaging, the stick was clearly big, fatty, some may even call plump.

Half way through my climb, I went for it. Pealing back its thin wrapper, the aroma hit fast. At first bite, I was hooked. It was pure cylinderical perfection. Hello, crafty treat.

These are great for backpacking because of high calories, softness, and tastiness. The bigger size means less packaging overall. I generally backpack 8 to 11 days.

I have a 6 year old daughter. When said daughter was 5, we rescued a trio of sick turkey poults. They were so rough that one didn’t even make it home, and the other passed that night. The sole surviving turkey was my 6 year old’s, who she had promptly named Busy Bee.

I have always been a fan of jerky while hiking or backpacking, but this takes it to the next level. This is a great snack size and is not dry at all (like a lot of meat sticks can be). Flavor was delicious and I’ve since tried a bunch of other flavors (all of which were rad).

My crew now fights over these snacks on trips.

The product is a bit higher priced than in the past, As we are going into fall there are a few straggly calves that looked wormy. When this shipment came in, we brought the calves up the next couple of days and administered the wormer.

They are already looking better. I have used Ivermectin here for 20 or more years. Thanks for the quick shipment of a good product.

I have tried LIKE CRAZY to find SOMETHING that will keep flies, horseflies, mosquitos, etc off of our 1 year old bull. IVOMAC HELPS, but so far we have found nothing that totally works. The bull is by himself in a CLEAN 2 acre coastal field, away from all mud & water & other animals.

As stated, IVOMAC HELPS, but does not eliminate.

This is the first time I purchase and use ivermectin pour on and applicator. The reason I went with this product is because of the ratings i read on Valley Vet Supply. Hope to have some real tangible rayings for you all in the future.

However, I gave a five star rating particularly for the service i received from Valley Vet Supply. I have received my items just the way I requested and in a timely manner. I will continue to use Valley Vet Supply for my livestock needs.

First off, I only ended up buying this since Walmart was sold out of their beef jerky. I’m half tempted to just throw bags out. The flavor of the beef jerky is pretty good; however, it’s like eating grizzled out, tough beef jerky with occasional soft bits thrown in to lure you into trying to eat more.

I’ve eaten a lot of different types of beef jerky but never to where I’ve wanted to throw a bag out before like I do with this one. I am definitely not impressed with this product at all and would not buy this again in the future, but hey live and learn, right? I’m sure someone else may love this, but it’s not for me.

Seems durable and accurate, my only gripe is the printed text is a little faint in areas (though still legible), I’m not sure how it will stand up to repeated use. Though at the price, it’s not a deal breaker and I would buy again.

This tape is a must have for any goat keeper. Its good quality and very useful for determining dosages per weight ect. Do keep it out of your goats mouths though! They love to chew the ends off. naughty they are!.

Handy weight measuring tape. Easy to use and read. The metal end tabs come off very easily and pose a risk to animals that want to mouth everything. So be careful or remove them completely.

I use the brisket to make pot roast. First i season the meat with a mix of spices then I sear it on both sides after searing I remove the meat from the pan ,then I add diced celery diced carrot chopped onion and minced garlic tomato paste and port wine to deglaze the pan.

After all of that I put the meat back in the pan cover the pan and place it in a 350 degree over and cook for about 3 to 4 hours checking to see if the meat has become tender. When done I remove the meat and let it cool slice and then add it back to the pan with the vegetables, sometimes I also add potatoes with the other vegetables , reheat and serve.

This also freezes very well so make extra for an easy meal. Enjoy.

Brisket is as beautiful as the picture posted. However, weight isn’t as described. The brisket with its plastic packaging is 5. 7 lbs instead of 6. 5 lbs to 7. 5. It’s just an FYI for those who have certain expectations.

It didn’t affect the recipe I used and it will not affect my future decisions to buy from D’artagnan. I made Amazing Rib’s Close to Katz pastrami with it. It’s a very glorious piece of meat and the pastrami turned out perfect.

This was purchased during a great sale but kept in the freezer for the right time. Since cooking usually for 2 we separated a good sized portion and barbecued it yesterday; it was very tender and delicious.

Tonight we are having the remainder which was braised in a wine sauce along with garlic and onions. I have purchased a brisket in the past which was from a kosher butcher and this one was superior to the kosher brisket.

I was impressed with the leanness of it and cannot find anything negative to say about it.

This product is superior to any other wormer I’ve used. Metering proper dosage is easy because if the unique bottle design and the color saves any confusion over which animals have been dosed. The fact that the dung flies can still lay eggs in the cow pies is a huge plus, letting the decomposition progress rapidly and helps keep a cleaner pasture.

I use this as a dewormer using the pour-on method. It also works for lice. We had a goat almost die from parasites, and three 6ml doses of pour-on Cydectin (10 days apart) pulled her through. I have given this to my pregnant does with no ill effects, but I would not give directly to kids.

Easy to use for our herd of 20+ goats. More effective than any other wormer we’ve ever tried! Will definitely use again. Only draw back is it irritated their skin because the next day the goats were all filthy from rolling around.

We have used Cydectin pour on wormer for several years on our herd. It is a good product and helps with overall herd health. It has purple color so you know if you missed anyone and helps keep flies away also.

My order came on time and well packaged, I would absolutely recommend this product.

I can’t believe how well this worked to clear the ticks off my milk cow! Flies seem less, too. I just wish it said how often to apply it.

…but I’m still waiting for this to show up. Ordered it and then called in and added an Emasculatome(sp?) …neither here yet….

We finally got to make the Cowboy Steak and it was incredible! This steak was clearly high quality. The marbling was beautiful and the flavor was so clean. My husband I both agreed this was so much better than going out since we know the temperature will come out the way we want it.

It’s a great steak for the grill!.

It was very nicely trimmed. Not too much fat, but very nice marbling. This was my first order at meat-n-bone, and I plan to order more in the future.

A fantastic steak! We cooked it in thr oven low and slow and then seared it on a hot cast iron pan to a perfect medium rare finish. It was amazingly tender and flavorful, seasoned only with the garlic salt and pepper blend from SRF.

It was big enough that two of us were able to get three meals each out of it, and I even gave some to friends who were equally as wowed by this steak. It’s a splurge item for sure, but it’s one I will probably get again as it was that good.

Do yourself a favor and get this steak!.

We reverse seared these wonderful Tomahawk Ribeyes. Started in the oven and finished on the grill using hardwood lump charcoal. Perfect medium rare with just the right amount of bark. We let them rest for 15 minutes and served these most flavorful and extremely tender ribeye’s.

These and the SRF’s Cowboy Steaks are our favorites and always complimented by our guests.

Same ingredients as the name brand. Far better price.

Only thing that bothers me is container and gun. They like drip at the connections after few uses

Takes care of lice with 1 application. My cows have never had lice before. Last fall I moved them on to a new pasture, and 7 of them came down with it. One application, and they were gone! The cows stopped itching in just a few days, and the hair started growing back.

I don’t like to use insecticides, but Eprinex got my cows through a harsh NY winter without losing too much hair.

I really liked the immediate fly control on my dairy cows. I was disappointed I didn’t receive the free applicator with my purchase, so I created my own. I will order This pour on again, even for my angus cows.

Slow cooked it with just some water and the flavor was delicious. Moist & tender. My grandkids loved it, too. They even ate all the vegetables that I threw in for the last few minutes of cooking. Super high quality, which outperforms anything in the supermarkets.

Got a few meals out of it, so it was nice not cooking for a couple days.

The best tasting Sunday Roast Dinner ever! I was amazed at how much was edible. in the past, from grocery store purchases, i had chunks of inedible gloppy fat to toss. There was hardly NO fat to speak of and yet it was full of flavor and juicy! This is so worth purchasing!!! The flavor was BEEFY!!!! And oh so tender! i crockpotted it with potatoes, carrots and onions.

Just like all of the meat we have purchased from Grass Roots, this roast was delicious. It is unbelievable to me how much more flavor is in these roasts. I’ve been married more than 40 years and have been told many times that I’m a great cook, but nothing I ever made in the past compares to these.

Once you’ve tasted the difference, it is difficult to imagine having to eat supermarket meat again.

I bought several valley vet toys this year as “Santa” gifts for my 5 yr old son. And Christmas for my nephew. They love them and they are so durable! We have been through a ton of farm toys and they fall apart.

These are phenomenal and we’ll worth it. We won’t need to be replacing these toys. I just wish I could find more accessories to go with it. Like other animals.

Started raising four free range goats and had a hard time keeping track of them. I found just the bells that I needed at Tractor Supply. I was even able to get a different tone for each goat! The bells are loud and light enough for the goats to wear.

It’s great so you can hear your cow. He got out once, took 3 days to find him. The bell would have been GREAT
