20 Best Cava For Mimosas (2022 Updated)

I finally got a chance to try this Brut. Overall I like it very much. I normally buy and keep Rondell Gold. This one is pretty similar. I actually like the taste of this one a bit better (it’s a tad more structured) but the perlage of the Rondell seems to be a little more refined.

Still this is a great bubble to keep in stock. At this price point it’s a steal. Now I will keep both of them in my cellar.

This was my first time having this sparkling wine. It was quite dry so I added some orange juice and made mimosas. I liked the addition of juice and kept the bottle cold in between glasses. I had 2 glasses, a nap, then 2 more glasses in the evening.

Brunch anyone? Morning, noon or early evening, this cava is a winner. By itself or with passion fruit (instead of orange) juice, you will enjoy a taste of heaven. We keep several bottles ‘ready’ just in case.

One of the very few that we buy by the case; you just can’t go wrong with this cava.

Campo Viejo Brut Rose🌹was bubbly and refreshing. It was my first time trying the Campo Viejo brand and I’m glad I was able to via Influenster! It is a bit on the dryer side and I normally prefer sweet wines but I could still taste the hint of berries.

Did I mention the bottle and overall packing is pretty cute? With the summer coming up, I would definately be bringing this to picnics and sharing with friends! I would recommend the Campo Viejo Brut Rose for anyone who hasn’t yet tried it! Please note this honest review is based on my personal experience and individual opinion.

The bottle definitely caught my eye at first glance. I’m a fan of all black everything, especially if it’s nice and matte. I thought this looks so elegant and expensive! I was quite happy with this and definitely would purchase this as a gift or bring this to a party.

The cava itself was good. It wasn’t too strong in flavor and didn’t have any aftertaste. It left me wanting more and I could for sure imagine myself enjoying this on any day of the year! It’s definitely a casual drink, which isn’t too strong yet does give you a nice buzz if you’re looking for it.

I would say it did have a slight sweetness but wasn’t from pure sugar, rather it was a bit fruity (but not like a mixed cocktail or anything). It was just right in the middle of dry and sweet, which I tend to like as I feel it’s easy to drink.

Also, I feel like that usually is good to bring to a party as it would satisfy most people’s palette. The carbonation wasn’t so extreme, it didn’t hurt my tongue and wasn’t harsh. I would recommend this and would love to have this at any occasion of mine.

It looks so elegant and interesting, and the most important part is that is was tasty. I didn’t give it a 5 as I felt like I have had better, but at the same time, I felt the price point of the product definitely was fair for the quality.

It doesn’t break the bank but still looks like it was pricey!.

I got this bottle of Freixenet Cordon Brut for free. I thought the bottle design was very sophisticated and sleek looking with an interesting black packaging. The bottle would make a nice addtion to any party or well stocked bar.

The wine is from Spain- so you will get a Crisp, clean and well-balanced sip with your pour. Cordon Brut is amedium-bodied wine and some would say that it has notes of: apple, pear, citrus flavors that will remind your mouth of a fall harvest of fruit.

It is a pretty long finish that ends with a hint of of ginger that leaves your tongue dancing from the spice. This wine would go great for any dinner party with coworkers and would pair well with a chicken or fish dish.

I had seen this bottle many times but passed by for the more recognizable brands in the Sparkling / Champagne category. The label didn’t draw me in from a design perspective and the name is tricky to pronounce, but it is notably distinct with its black and hint of gold color scheme.

What a pleasant surprise when I did try it out. It doesn’t break the bank from a price point perspective but definitely hits on the right notes when it comes to taste and flavor. Subtle hints of brioche mixed with a hit of nectarine, not too sweet and not too bubbly makes for an excellent toast to cheers to an anniversary birthday (or perhaps just after great day).

I should mention I was reimbursed for my participation in reviewing this bottle, however all of my feedback is honest and true. .

I love this wine! First of all super convenient! Second of all tasty AF! Third, great price! These are great for mimosas on the go too when you are doing a picnic. I always have at least six on hand in the fridge at all times.

These bubbles are delicious, lots of flavor! I love using these cans for picnics and adventures since they are easier to transport than a HEAVY bottle of sparkling wine. Each can serves about 3 mimosas, or 2 large mimosas.

I think what threw me off was that this really isn’t Brut. It’s too sweet for that classification. Nevertheless, it’ll get the job done 😉

I really like Rondele Brut Cava. However there is a BIG problem. The cork spontaneously explodes which is an extraordinary danger. It happened twice to me. One time with the casing off. I thought it was a fluke.

The second time the casing was still on, and it exploded without even touching it. This is a deal breaker. It’s a shame because I really like the product. Please let me know when you have taken remedial measures to fix this problem.

If you don’t like citrusy wines you won’t like this. but we do, and have been buying it by the case since we went to Barcelona several years ago and started the hunt for cava stateside. Whereas prosecco is made from sweeter grapes and has a more neutral, sweeter taste, cava is made from more acidic grapes which in brut create a citrus refreshing palette.

making it a lunch time pick me up in Barca. I think of cava with salty starters and prosecco as desert. but basically I drink cava as my go to and stick with it throughout. If you like NZ sauvignon blancs.

We have tasted the Rondel Brut Cava on several special occasions. Yesterday we celebrated the 99th birthday of a WWII Navy veteran with 2 cases of this wonderful bubbly. Good wine, great price, blue bottle.

I first learned about Dibon when I was in Spain. There, I fell in love with the Spanish version of Champagne and surprised that they are a fraction of the price per bottle without sacrificing quality.

I made a point of trying as many of the Cavas as I could but one stood out and it was Dibon. Have bought on many occasions and served to unsuspecting palettes that were exuberant about the champagne we were tasting.

I explained it wasn’t champagne it was a Cava from Spain and they, like myself, were blown away. The nose offers regal yeast and richness, while the palate has complexity to prop up apple, citrus and grapefruit flavors.

A solid Cava. Would buy again. Not overly sweet. Not too dry. Bubbles play appropriately on the tongue.

My husband and I are big fans of Spanish cava. We are very impressed with this one! Fantastic price for such a nice cava! Love it. It’s my new favorite everyday bubbly.

Look, I drink a LOT of champagne and sparkling wine. An obscene amount. Like I’m celebrating every day and living life to its fullest. Do I drink a bottle a night? Yes, yes I do. And I drink THIS one.

It’s tasty, bubbly, not sweet and just the perfect flavor. Best part is that it doesn’t get me hammered or have a hangover the next day. If they came clean and said it didn’t have alcohol, I would be doubling down on purchasing this bottle.

I don’t drink a lot of champagne, but went looking for a Brut to enjoy at home for New Year’s. What I liked about this bottle (apart from the VERY reasonable price) was its crisp, clean taste, wonderful apple and citrus fruit flavors that are forward but not over-bearing.

The bubbles are not excessive–that is, they didn’t immediately leave my mouth feeling bloated with air. Well balanced, I would drink this any time I have an excuse for a social or holiday gathering.

Asked the husband to bring home something with a cork to pop to celebrate the 2020 election. He’s the guy who happily drinks Lemmy’s and G&Ts so I didn’t know what he’d pick for a sparkling wine. I hate sweet wines and the accompanying head aches, so I was pleased with the first sip.

All the subsequent sips were fantastic too. Light, refreshing, dry (not sweet), fruity, fun, no head aches. The label is black glitter so makes a nice gift from that aspect too. Will be trying the rose and this brut cava again.

For this price, how could I not try more?.

The description of this wine says it’s more fruity than Brut and has hints of peach. Whenever I see an Extra Dry sparkling with hints of peach, I know I’ll like it. I usually steer clear of Brut because they’re too dry for me, but decided to give this a try given the peach.

Unfortunately, I didn’t like this as it’s still too dry for me.

I adore the entire Rondel brand. The Rondell Brut Cava has peachy-pear finish that bring the” Pop” in orange Juice for Mimosas. The Rondell Gold bottle is Premium for a couple of strawberries , or my Fav-Raspberries! I drink the Rose Cava when sad or Melancholy, perks me Up! Each speaks a different tune, and is Perfect for your Toasting desires:).

Our favourite cava from Raventos, nice subtle flavour with a fine boquet.

Really great. Fresh, lively, nice notes of apple and lemon. A fine substitute for champagne at a third of the price.

This is a cava with very unique characteristics. If you’re someone who dislikes the yeasty, bready overtone typical of cava and champagne, this might be the one to try. It has almost none of those flavors present (despite being aged on lees 9 months per D.

O. requirements). I’ve tried the semi seco version of this wine and that one was much yeastier while being only the tiniest bit sweeter. The brut is actually the easier-drinking of the two and, in my opinion, has a better profile.

The brut is all about crisp apple and pear while the semi seco is all about cutting citrus and yeast. Apple and pear peel nose, light and fleeting pear body, crisp green apple finish with just a touch of tart citrus.

Very little yeast; well-developed, fine and delicate bubbles. Keeps drinking well for 36 to 48 hours after opening.

This Jaume Serra Cristalino is very light and crisp. This brut is made using the traditional method. Makes for excellent mimosas

The bubble quality is much better than other low end sparklings. It is a bit tart. So top off with a Peach Schnapps for a great bellini. Most low end sparklings have no personalty. This one does and is bottle fermented as well.

But please, do not take my word for it. That leaves more for me! :).

I got this because of some reviews I read on a site. It wasn’t really impressive, though. It was sweeter than I expected, and the bubbles don’t last long. After a minute or two in my glass, it was pretty flat.

I’m sure if you’re not picky about your bubbles, this is a good pick for the price but I don’t recommend drinking it on its own.

I found this to be quite dry, which is a good thing! I’ve been looking for a sparkling wine that isn’t sweet and it’s been difficult finding something that is vegan-friendly but also not overly expensive.

Oh yeah, and this price point is awesome. Highly recommend if you want dry sparkling wine.

This is perfect with a charcuterie board with fresh fruit and cheese. Very light and crisp, and lots of bubbles. A nice bottle for Sunday brunch with family and friends, or by myself on the couch, watching my favorite show in my pajamas.

We have been fans of the Cristalino Extra Brut for years. We tried the rose’ in our Sunday brunch mimosa a couple of weeks ago. It was great. The berry contributed much more than we expected.

I have celebrated flavorfully with this wine for a number of years now, and recently presented it for a wedding toast to a yardful of people who had never tasted it. It was a hit! Not too dry, not too sweet – bubbling perfectly in every glass!! It was well received by wine, beer, and uncommitted drinkers alike!.

The BEST in it’s price range, and even gives $30-$40 sparkling wines a run for their money. Serve it at a party and I promise people will ask you what kind it is and where to find it. It tastes great alone or with a splash of st.

Germaine. I would not make a mimosa with this. It’s best used in a less watered down type of sparkling wine cocktail.

Great exceptional cava from Raventós i Blanc. It is not either white or rosé. Kind of salmon pale color which it is very gastronomic. One of my favorite ones and big fan

This is the best rose Cava (which is actually not a Cava since they broke out of the appellation)! Wonderful small bubbles and amazing value, this one beats quite a few French Champagnes in my book.

Cava te da to be a little strong or harsh. I was surprised with this choice. Light body meaning soft, not hard to the palate but a bit dry. Even though you taste somewhat freshness and fruit it is definitely not fruity.

You can drink it by itself. Priced good as I would have it at $13-16 range. Good for a party get together or even mimosas.

A cheaper take on Champagne. As you may know, only sparkling wine made with Champagine grapes may be called Champagne. If you have not tried Cava, you have miss out on a lot!!! It is soothing to the tongue.

Having discovered Cava more than a decade ago, I think that it can stand toe to toe with Champagne for a fraction of the price! I can think of several higher priced champagnes that pale in comparison to this economical sparkling wine.

Beware that this is not your typical mimosa mixer. It is for a real celebration!.

An amazing value CAVA– I enjoy it all year long. If you enjoy a not so sweet Brut, you’ll be happy with this one! Just hoping there’s enough supplies left after we all buy a case. LOL!!

I usually don’t go this heavy into profiling, generally noting overall descriptors and moving on, but this cava was well crafted enough to make me stop and pay attention. Nose is butterscotch, cream, candied lemon, violet.

When warm nose opens to reveal sulfured apricot with touch of white flower then licorice. Taste is clean, as expected for a brut nature, but with a bit of reduction in the form reminiscent of vague matchstick.

Taste opened with dewey grass, finished with mineral notes. So clean but with subtle profile and layers. When warm, slight clove and brie with toasted almond finish. Could drink this anytime, be it Christmas, birthday, or just end of the day.

The most affordable and one of the best brut natures I’ve had the pleasure to stumble across.

Big bubbles. Citrus nose, bitter aftertaste and hard to sip. Smoother than most Cava, but still Cava – tastes cheap. And the bitter aftertaste lingers. Crémant de Bourgogne is a better value. The more I drink it, the more off-putting is the bitterness.

Do not buy this again.

This is undoubtedly one of our favourite cavas. Perfectly level of dryness and not too fizzy. Great with food, particularly well matched with seafood. Have bought this a number of times and will continue to do so.

What stands out in this Prosecco is how balanced it is, leaning more toward a dry than semisweet style. Citrus comes through, along with apple and pear flavors. Soft, creamy bubbles. Good for adding to cocktails but perfect for sipping.

If you like the Sun Goddess Pinot Grigio you’ll like this too.

I picked up a bottle about a month ago and my only regret was not buying more. It was very smooth with a hint of sweetness and perfect amount of sparkle at the end. Great for a relaxing hot sunny day in AZ.

I love visiting the Wilson Creek Winery! Their almond sparkling wine is what they are known for but they have continually expanded and have many other varieties of sparkling wine as well as other wines now.

The orange mimosa is my favorite sparkling wine with notes of orange and citrus. A good choice for celebrations, brunches, and anytime you feel like a bubbly. Yum!.

This was awful! Definitely avoid! It tasted horrible. This was a gift For a relative’s birthday who is 85 and doesnt drink 😶. So they gave it to us to try because they didn’t want to go to waste it was absolutely awful.

We couldn’t find anybody to take it. I definitely do not recommend it. I really hope my relative doesn’t see this review.

So. this is the only champagne I’ve ever tasted, so to me obviously it’s the best, until I try more lol. If it’s your first time tasting champagne I highly reccomend this product. Barefoots products are usually a bit bitter but this one is pretty good.
