20 Best Ccw Fanny Pack (2022 Updated)

Awesome pack! This pack really has pretty much everything I was looking for in an EDC bumbag/cross chest carry option. I use this to carry a compact 9mm handgun (about the size of a Glock 19) although, you could fit a full-size gun if you wanted.

I have used this pack for EDC, hiking, travel, dog training and especially if you want an easy option to carry when wearing workout clothes and don’t have a standard belt carry option available. For just EDC w/out a firearm the removable Velcro organizer is great for expanding organization in the main compartment.

To be able to use the holster and the optional Velcro organizer together you would probably have to have a smaller. 380 pistol. I picked the Frunk over other brands of packs because it has a dedicated Velcro holster that will cover your trigger guard—which I would consider a must if you plan on carrying any striker-fired gun without an external safety.

The overall size and weight distribution of the pack is very comfortable and is fine for all day used even when fully loaded with phone, keys, knife, firearm, first aid, etc. The overall look of the pack is pretty low key and conservative.

there is branding on the front Velcro portion and the back pocket but it is not noticeable. I would prefer a little slicker front compartment with continuous nylon material but having the option for a patch works for some.

Overall I am very happy with the Frunk pack. The material is superlight yet strong and holds it’s shape well. The main pouch is big to enough to hold a 4 1/2″ handgun comfortably without printing. The weight distributes well and does not hang like an anchor.

The stitching is done well with no loose threads. The overall capacity is good; it will hold a lot more than I should probably carry and the pouches allow great deal of customization. One thing to be aware of is the accessory panel.

It is quite useful to hold extra mags, flashlights, knives etc. It is removable and is backed with Velcro. What the pictures do not make clear is that you can only use the panel or the universal holster separately.

If the panel is attached to the Velcro backing, the holster can’t be used. There is a small pouch at the rear of the panel that will hold a small handgun but there is no way to secure it. If the holster is used, there is nothing for the panel to attach to.

Therefore, I use the holster attachment in the main compartment and put the accessory panel in the far rear compartment. It fits well there and is rigid enough not to collapse. Pictures show the rear panel holding a cell phone but it is really to awkward to get to when wearing the pouch against the body.

The front compartment is probably more useful for something you need to get to often. An outstanding pack for the price. I highly recommend it.

Please let me know if I’m doing something wrong but the only way I can get the frunk pack to work with my P 3365 is to remove the magazine holder and use the holster provided or drop the pistol in the bag unsecured.

Is that correct? The holster provides reasonable retention and ease of draw, but where is the magazine pouch supposed to go? I don’t like the idea of the pistol sitting unsecured in the bag, not safe or easy to draw.

I bought the bag to be able to carry while walking my dogs and it does provide enough room for dog treats and a few extras but I’d like to have a better retention system and be able to carry extra mags.

The leather is supple, there are lots of roomy expandable pockets and it actually is high quality–However. I found it unsuited for the purpose intended. Perhaps for a very small light handgun but testing with a mid sized.

380: the included holster is vynil and will not keep the gun in place, There is a very large but non-adjustable, internal strap which unfolds 6-8 inches and therefore allows the pistol to slide all over the gun pocket.

One never knows where the gun will be when opened–in fact the gun is easily dropped out of the pocket when the quick release is pulled open. I barely caught it falling away on several occasions trying to practice.

The internal sleeve could be replaced by a better a regular holdster i. e Wally world air-soft so long as the internal Velcro is reinforced. Over the course of an hour walking, the quick release cover’s Velcro starts opening up.

This might be resolved if the holster improvement stopped the gun from bouncing around. The side wings do not taper and the whole kit would benefit from the addition of trapezoid shaped reinforcements, to keep the waist band from rolling while sitting.

All that said, the actual quality is excellent and I am going to have the modifications done because I believe this has lots of potential. I like thisrig–it just needs improvement and one can’t beat the price nor the quick release/ pop open concept.

Oh !and I am adding a quick grab extended loop along the top. It should go without saying but if you also keep your spare mag with the gun it will be gone unless you also secure a magazine pouch as solidly as you secure the pistol.

Finally, if you do conceal carry–Never let your seat belt ride underneath nor on top of any forward facing fanny pack. ( always OVER the top– I was in an t-bone auto accident where the seat belt drove my CCP pack all way up into my spleen for a painful, life-threatening injury.

Having evaluated wearing to either side has similar disadvantages and potential for impact injury. Carrying and easy access must be wisely traded off against potential impact injury from any direction.

This carry device for my 38 special is absolutely fantastic. I wear it like a fanny pack carrying my wallet and a few of my personal items. It fits snug easy to adjust and the leather smell is outstanding.

The quality is real good I enjoy the product. Highly recommend to my family and friends. Enough room to carry a 9 mm and a couple of clips of ammo.

For $11. 99 it is nice so I bought 3 of them. One viewer said the Velcro was to strong,, but even that he recommends. I never encountered that with my CCW bag. For the money I recommend as it allows fast access if ever the situation arrived.

I wear mine as a shoulder bag with the barrel pointed down.

I purchased one for my wife. I tried it myself and liked it enough that I bought one for myself to use when I am on vacation or hiking and want small storage that does not pull my pants down. This works great.

It also holds 9mm Ruger just fine.

It is fine, but not exceptional for the price. I keep it in my truck with a few essentials in it. If loaded up it slides down too much, even when tightened up. It is not as useful as the over the shoulder bag I have.

It is not comfortable to drive in, so you have to take it off for it not to be distracting. They talk about a concealed carry pocket and it has that on the back, but to be useful, it has to stay unzipped.

Picture this, you have your cc in it and are wearing a coat over the pouch. You have to pull up your coat and reach into the pouch. If you wear a belt holster, you pull up your coat and there is the gun, about twice as fast.

Better to carry your cc in your coat pocket!.

My Glock model 22 fits well in the center compartment (with a thin soft nylon holster on it). Expands well for larger waist sizes. Good quality materials, zippers, etc. I liked it so much I bought a second one.

See pics. When not wearing it, I hang it on the passenger seat of my truck for easy access and to easily move in/out of my truck. One thing to note. the auction pic shows what appears to be a full size Glock blue gun in the rear compartment.

My Glock 22 will not fit in the rear compartment, but as I said, will fit in the center compartment.

Zipper broke on the first day. Where the nylon cord is connected to the zipper. Pulled on it to open and it just broke off so easily.

Great product. Holds everything I need.

I purchased the small case to carry both my cell phone and my Ruger LCR. 38 special. The size is perfect to carry both. My only complaint is that the quick access cord frayed the first time I attempted to test it.

I had to tie additional cording onto this in order for it to function as intended. I wear this when I walk and it works great.

zipper for the pull string is not tight, opens up allowing the gun to slip out and hit the ground not double stitched on the bottom, fraying and coming apart, buy a more costly one thats made better

For JUST firearm + limited medical supplies + glasses, the bag is awesome, 5 stars. But the main compartment where the Velcro attachment panels are is actually pretty small. The bag itself being XL looks much bigger than it actually is.

When carrying my laptop + pistol + glasses and bare essentials medical supplies, the back is extremely full but still manages the job, just barely. I wish the main compartment was a bit bigger for work commute items.

The Upscale 2 is a great little grab and go bag. The padded soft pocket at the top is nice although I’ll probably never actually put sunglasses in there and I like the main compartment organization. Fits stuff like a tourniquet, extra mag, flashlight, knife ect and holds it tight to the body of the bag so it isn’t shifting all over the place.

My only gripe is probably the holster that comes along with it. I’ll probably just end up replacing that in favor of another solution.

A excellent product just the right size. Well made. The holster could be A LOT better but that is easily replaced with a better quality one. The one included will get you started though.

Where I live (Japan) it is not uncommon for men to have small packs or single strap bags instead of carrying in pockets. With this minimal pack that is organized enough to carry the things I usually keep in my pockets (wallet, phone, keys) and roomy enough for the extras (such as a set of wipes and a diaper for a young child without even showing any major bulk!), it was time to set my pockets free in style.

I also have a Wandrd backpack, so while I was a little surprised at the cost of such an item – a “simple” fanny pack – it is actually significantly cheaper than alternative brand options, and I already trust the brand.

My experience is that the products are well made, and also well considered – with the little touches you didn’t even know you wanted. I really like this bag, but it turned out to be of poor quality. This bag started tearing after a month of use, I am very dissatisfied. The look of the bag is damaged, I used it for its intended purpose.

Nice quality. But the strap management is bad. There is just a velcro belt keeper keeping the end of the adjustment strap in line. This often catches at the cloth around the shoulder. Also it would be better to have a bigger zipper.

This is a really good buy. Ill probably buy several because Im very hard on fanny packs because I tend to overload them. The firearm compartments holder is great for securing your weapon. I read another review that complained about it not allowing quick access.

When I want quick access, I simply dont use the security enclosure. It gives me an option that I didnt have using regular fanny packs. Its roomy enough to carry my Bulldog 44, two checkbooks, an overstuffed wallet, business cards, car key fob, and cell phone with room to spare.

Its also very attractive. No one suspects Im carrying a firearm because of all the other stuff I have in it.

I was going to spend a lot more money having a pack made. Im glad I didnt. This pack will fit most compacts even large ones. Sig P320, Beretta 92 Compact for sure. I will be carrying a Beretta 84 and its a little big for the.

380. However, I like the idea of being able to carry a different pistol. Some have said its too big. Im about 210 lbs and it works great for my size. If youre 150 lbs. it may be too big. It has a back zipper compartment.

The main zippered compartment for your pistol and extra mag. The front part has 2 zippered compartments. The larger will fit my wallet and my Iphone 7 +. The small zipper holds some medicine. Time will tell about the durability but even if it doesnt last as long as the canvas ones at this price you cant go wrong.

I may be buying a 2nd one.

Well oganized and comfortable to wear. Stitching is poorly finished. Thread ends are loose, and jam the zippers, which undoes the seam. Then, zipper gusset comes off.

i purchased three of these fanny packs, as i not only wanted one for our trip but got one for my daughter and grand daughter as well in differeent colors. We are very pleased with them, they are small enough to not weigh you down when wearing them, yet big enough to carry all we wanted to carry in them to the attractions.

The adjustable strap was perfect for our different size bodies as well so they fit us all great. just a note i typically wear extra large clothing and my daughter 2 xl in some things and my granddaughter is small.

This is a kool tactical lil bag that holds all your EDC needs for when you don’t wanna lug around a big backpack or duffel!!! The quality is very durable and was impressed with how much stuff I can carry in it and it’s still not bulky or heavy like other bags! And even though it’s a fanny pak! This is one I’m not afraid to carry or wear and it looks very tactical rather then you traditional one! Would highly recommend ordering this bag! This thing is awesome. I took a smaller bag, different brand, on a recent trip to Hawaii, and ordered this as soon as i got home. I struggled to carry the essentials in the other bag, and had a hard time accessing some of the pockets, not with the grunt style bum bag.

This bad is well designed, I love the locations of the pockets. It’s functional when I am in vacation or when I go into the office. Another awesome Grunt Style product!.

As expected, this Fanny pack is great quality. Thick material, very strong stitching. It’s larger than I thought it would be, which makes it look more “tactical”. Would highly recommend this product.

I purchased this when I had to start carrying a spare pair of prescription eyeglasses and two large key fobs. I was using the medium size Fjallraven Ulvo hip pack. I loved it, but it was no longer large enough.

This is just as comfortable, durable, (same Bergshell fabric), easy to carry despite being 2 liters larger. I love the white waterproof lining. Easy to see items and easy to clean. I can fit my Fjallraven zip wallet in the back outside pocket.

I have my ear buds and a Swiss Army knife in the left side mesh pocket, lip balm, bandaids, and small tube of neosporin in the right mesh pocket. My iPhone SE fits in the zipped mesh pocket. I’ve still got plenty of room for that eyeglass case, huge key fobs, a small hairbrush, a gel hand sanitizer, a spray hand sanitizer, a pack of wipes, a pack of gum, tissues, 2 face masks, and there’s still room for more if necessary.

I like to carry it as a sling bag. It’s quite easy to adjust and comfortable to wear. Most times I forget I’m wearing it. Plus I’m hands free. Love the compression straps at the bottom to lash a sweatshirt/jacket.

I love Fjallraven bags. I’ve got a bit of a collection. This one is definitely my favorite. I’ve been using it daily for approximately 8 months. The Ulvo also cleans up easily. I got something on the outside of the bag.

Fjallraven recommends spot cleaning. I cleaned the spot with some mild soap and a washcloth and it came right out. I love this style so much I have it in black, navy, and dark lava. The dark lava is my favorite! I highly recommend this bag to anyone needing a hip pack that can accommodate a bit more than 1-2 liters.

It’s also functional for hikes or as your EDC!.

I purchased the 4L version of this and love it for light day hike. However 4L size is kind of too big to carry daily. This 2L version just hit the sweet spot. It fits well for hop or sling wear. I particularly like the Red Gold colour.

It is not red tinted at all; I would say it is more on the yellow side.

I have tried and few of these “hip packs” as sling bags and this one is my most favorite and most versatile bag own. the color is great ( I got the green color) its holds all my stuff with out be cumbersome and bulky.

Fjallraven never disappoints in quality. I got the medium and its works for everyday use.

Haven’t used it to any great extent as yet; however, it seems to be well made and fits very well. Wanted something that’s small yet will hold key valuables, and it does just that.

I couldn’t. even wear it because it smells horrible

The bag overall is good, but some details are not good enough, like the top of the edge of the bag is not smooth.

I LOVE my hip belt! I use it for shorter runs that don’t require hydration but need a place to store car key and phone. Water resistant feature is fantastic detail for rainy run days. It fits nice and snug and stays in place! I’m planning to use it on next half marathon race day to store energy gels!.

I use it for short MTB rides when I don’t carry my backpack. Comfortable and very useful.

This thing is just what I wanted, hip belts keep things in place while running and most are too small to hold phones, this did the job.

I just bought this pack on Saturday and I have already taken it out into the field on Sunday. I have been notorious at over packing my Badlands back and I wanted something smaller that would force me to cut down on what I bring to the woods.

This didn’t exactly cut down on anything, in fact I feel like it gave me more space, however the weight distribution is way better! I am able to lay the climbing sticks across the main pouch and I’m able to utilize the top rifle or bow loop to attach my platform.

When I’m in the tree I’m able to hang the bag directly in front of me and have access to the main pouch for snacks/drink or whatever I might need (yesterday I had my Nalgene bottle, some jerky, trail mix, a rolled up sweat shirt, bino’s, range finder, saw and knives just to give you an idea of the size).

I would say the only downfall to this set up is I have to carry my bow into the woods by hand. But I normally do that anyway so it really doesn’t make anything harder or less convenient. The straps are on the larger size but when you are wearing a jacket or whatever it sure is nice to have that extra length to be able to make sure you have this pack tight and riding where it should be for comfort and distribution of weight on those long walks.

All in all. great pack and I’m glad I got it. I’ll be buying another for my dad since I know he will like this set up also!.

I bought this bag a few weeks ago and it’s already my favourite. It has lots of room for all your stuff and is pretty comfortable. It works better than a typical pack for walking through the thick stuff, doesn’t get as hung up.

However, it has absolutely no resistance to water of any kind. You’d think a hunting bag would have some water resistance built into it. This one does not. If it was water proof I’d happily recommend it to anyone that wants a new bag, since it’s about a good as a screen at keeping the water out I can’t make any recommendations.

Cabelas needs to produce and market a gore-Tex version. Or just replace it with a gore-Tex version. Also the back pad between your shoulders, it’s velcroed together. But there’s no pocket. You can’t even open the Velcro because the support for the bag is stitched through it.

Design flaw? Mistake? Beats me. The bag could use refinements it it’s not awful. Also my age and gender have zero relation to my review, seems odd that I have to enter it to post a review.

Cons: Note that if you are thin, this is probably not for you. The waist belt is built for people with large waist measurements and has limited adjustment at the lower belt sizes. Apparently fit hunters won’t use this pack? Note it DOES NOT have a place to strap a holster.

You might be able to put a paddle holster through the strap, but it is sown to the padding on both ends so a normal holster will NOT be useable. The pouch does move from side to side supporting right and left handed users.

And why have a nice quiet material with the ability to add pouches, but not sell the pouches/quivers—this leaves you using normal MOLLE pouches made of noisy nylon, defeating the quiet cloth as you move through thick brush.

Should have a second pouch so you can have a pouch on the left and right side if you want, especially since it will be difficult to find a suitable holster to carry a pistol. Also, the MOLLE webbing means they should also at least offer an accessory pouch and quiver options allowing you to use that area and keep the pack quiet.

Pros: The material is very quiet. There are a good number of pockets, but room for more (see above). Shoulder straps seem comfortable, but haven’t used for long distance yet. Has quite a bit of room, and can hold a water bladder with an exit for the drinking tube.

Overall this seems typical of Cabela’s—come up with a good idea, but fail to fully execute leaving one what the heck were the designers and marketers thinking, and have they ever been in the field themselves? The Elite Scout has the exact same flaws.

I needed a good waist pack for travelling abroad. This one was very well made, a good size and easily held all of my needed items for a day out and about. It had the safety features needed for travelling in a foreign country.

I often used it, not around my waist, but hooked diagonally over my shoulder in front of me. I liked the idea that this waist pack had a water bottle holder, but I actually never used this feature and was glad that the water bottle holder could be zipped up so that it was not visible.

I will say that the water bottle holder will only hold a relatively small bottle of water.

Nice bag. I like to wear it on my front hip and it sits nicely, probably because of the width of the belt. I like that the water bottle pouch can be hidden when I’m not using it. The bottle pouch could be a little wider, it will hold a smaller refillable bottle or a standard bottle of water.

The issue is the width; the mesh part is deep enough. If this came in navy or a light neutral, I would buy a second one.

I use this product most days, even in the house. I can keep my phone with me, even in pants/shorts with no pocket. At first I thought the water bottle holder was sewn in backwards but I discovered that it was just inside out.

When I am out, I lock the lock features on the bel and the zipper pockets. The belt is slightly too long for me.

I bought this pack because it was advertised as a shoulder or fanny pack. While it is a comfortable shoulder pack it does NOT convert easily to a fanny pack. I called customer service about buying the belt that appeared in an ad for the 511 Rapid Waist Pack 3L #56573.

I finally got through to Karen who told me 511 CAN’T sell the belt by it self and I should exchange the LV6 for the 3L. I explained the LV6 fit my snake gun perfectly and there are times I need to carry it over the shoulder and times I need to carry it around my waist.

She said she’d put me on hold and contact your PARTS DEPT to see if the 3L belt would fit my LV6 and “IF” they can sell it seperately. I was on hold for some 20 minutes, but enjoyed my lunch. She came back on and told me she’d send me an email when they got with her.

As of today I have heard nothing from your company. I own several 511 bags, but am not happy with your customer service. Also, the picture of LV6 showed the bag around the waist of the model hanging to their front thus not showing the how the strap must be configured to be used as a fanny pack, nor how it buckles.

I love the versatility of this little pack. I’m Using for CCW, but this would also be a great pack for someone needing a tough inconspicuous little pack. I purchased a mtac Velcro holster to secure my side arm inside.

With the Velcro section in the pack all I need is the loop part of the holster and this combination works great with several weapons, With sight optics, with lasers and lights. etc. I can’t comment on longevity yet, but it’s durable construction.

I tend to use the Fanny pack configuration the most and a buckle in the strap would be a nice feature for 5. 11 to add. It’s also a good size because you can utilize for spare mag, keys, wallet, phone.

I prefer this model over the select pistol pouch because I have a little more versatility with weapon size and other items still with low visibility.

Positives: Good quality, good size as a fanny pack, multiple uses, ability to install a Velcro holster for conceal carry, organization in main compartment. Negatives: if you’re using it as a fanny pack, note that the strap has no traditional buckle for easy on and off; main compartment may expose firearm if you store frequently used items in it, secondary compartment rather tight.

Notes: I carry a Glock 45 in it. The rear sight pretty much sits against the top of the bag when it’s closed. I use it as a fanny pack. I had to modify the strap to get it to work as an actual “waist pack.

” IMO the strap not having a buckle was a huge oversight by 5. 11.
