20 Best Cdma Gsm Phone (2022 Updated)

I purchased this with the intent to trade in my cracked N20 Ultra 5G. The phone seems solid, but there is not much of a noticeable performance difference from my N20U. The camera has improved, but the N20U no longer suffers from the autofocus issues it had upon release.

The 10X optical zoom is pretty good, but just like the 5X on my N20U, it does not appear to function like a regular camera with optical zoom—the photos taken at maximum optical zoom look nearly as grainy and pixelated as they are on the N20U.

They are similar to, but a little better than, taking a high resolution photo with the standard rear camera (not 108MP) and blowing it up on my computer. I have never had any luck with the 108MP over the standard maximum on either phone.

The screen is visibly better in appearance generally (both at highest resolution). It is also a lot brighter and can easily be viewed at the beach with the sun shining directly down on it. That being said, the N20U is bright enough to see it under those conditions.

Also, when the S22U turns on its super brightness function (I don’t recall the proper name of the feature), it washes out the screen a lot. All blacks become medium gray and the average color range is reduced significantly.

I suppose it’s better to see it this way than to not see it at all, but, as stated, I can see my N20U well enough for me. Sneaking a mere 8GB into the 128GB model was a little lame and clearly just for marketing purposes.

Memory isn’t that expensive, particularly for Samsung, this is a flagship either way. If anything, they should have stepped up the 512 and 1TB to 16, instead of reducing RAM 1. 5 generations later (N20U 128GB has 12GB).

Also, I do not think they make it clear on the website that the 128GB has less. Fortunately, I purchased the 256GB during the upgrade, so I didn’t have to contend with that. For all intents and purposes, this is just an upgraded N20U.

The professional reviews talk about latency of the pen, generally pep, camera details, night pics, etc. , etc. , but average consumers will ever notice this. The individuals reviewing in those really highlight the differences and improvements, but at a level of detail that the average consumer will never really notice.

For instances, everyone talks about the improvements with the latency of the S-Pen. I tried drawing side-by-side and couldn’t tell what was different. The night pictures are slightly better all around with the S22U, but both are sufficient, and both get the color wrong (i.

e. , if you’re going for really good pics under those conditions, post-processing is necessary). The lack of an SD card was the pivotal reason why I returned the S22U and had my N20U repaired at BB for nearly as much.

Well, and because of my final insight, below. The improvements are not noticeable enough for me to make me want to switch to a new phone and lose access to my SD Cards, which have been passed up from generation and generation and increased in capacity along the way.

Perhaps if someone intends to a lot of gaming on this phone, the processor and screen upgrades make sense, but for most people, they will not. I will upgrade if they ever add this back, otherwise, I will eventually seek out a new mfc (unless, someday, I can reasonably afford to fork over $1500 for the galaxy Fold future generation, and it includes a camera on par or better with all other flagship models.

I really lvoe the convenience of popping one SD Card out and another in, even though an SD Card is somewhat slower than internal memory. I have been a Samsung user since the 3rd generation S series (and have several other products) and am starting to notice diminishing returns year after year.

I can wait a couple generations happily with my N20U until these are improved upon (and hopefully, an SD card option comes back). I also want to see a phone with an optical zoom that works a bit better—I realize this isn’t my DSLR, but if it’s optical then it shouldn’t be limited by the sensor (I assume this is the issue, but do not know for sure.

If it’s a software issue then it needs to be corrected all around). No matter what I do to adjust it, which mode I use, or even using a different camera app, the i-phone always takes better pictures (and I do not use one regularly and am not a fan of that brand overall).

Also note, the N20U’s screen is 0. 1 inches larger than the S22U, which is no big deal, but still a downgrade in my opinion. A lot of the photo and editing features are 100% software issues and can be ported back to the N20U one way or another.

Conclusion: Not really worth the upgrade from N20U, but perhaps from other lesser models (i. e. , S20U and earlier, because of the screen and the pen for my particular uses). Oh, and “Red” = “Coral” or “Salmon”.

Definitely not red or any variation thereof (technically).

Moved from the Google Pixel line and needed a phone that implements all the Google software well. I was thrilled when I was upgraded to the bigger storage option when I pre-ordered the Green Samsung S22+ but after living with it for a few days the short comings started appearing.

The battery life wasn’t that great. What I gathered from it in that short time was that the device kept searching for a 5G connection and where I live I get a very weak signal of 5G and its always bouncing between 5G and 4G.

In the phone settings there is no allowed option to switch to 4G LTE which would be a more efficient option on the phone battery since it’s not constantly dropping in and out of 5G, so I downloaded an app that allows me to switch the phone into 4G LTE manually and keep it there.

I don’t need 5G just a phone that implements Google software the way it should with no glitches and constantly hoping for a software patch to fix the bugs. Secondly while the phone can peak at Max brightness, don’t do it, I set my brightness manually and keep it set at about 65% brightness unless I am in a bright room or in a dark room I manually adjust it since letting the phone do it on its own just drains more battery since it’s learning your environment and what you are doing.

I also set a dark theme on my phone, I have always had a dark theme even before it was a manufacturers option on the device through third party launchers. While the device can throttle the screen refresh rate between 1hz to 120hz I have my device fixed at 60hz just so I am not putting to much strain on the processor and in turn draining the battery when I am jump between tasks such as; watching a YouTube video, typing emails, reading a manual or making a phone call.

This device has some features that make it great but they are costing you battery life, and after living with it for a week I learned about some settings that have helped me get about 10 hours worth of battery life through out the day without worrying that I don’t have time to charge it.

I use a standard 18w wall charger so the fast charging capabilities don’t lessen the overall battery life, so I can hopefully get 4 years out of this device. There is a learning curve to the S22+ but once you tweak your settings the experience becomes better.

I have been using my new Galaxy S22 for a week now – and I could not be more disappointed. I upgraded from a Galaxy S9 (amazing phone), and I am starting to think that I should have just gotten the battery fixed on my S9.

This phone is not worth its price tag whatsoever – I don’t even know where to start. The battery is nothing special – gets me a couple more hours than my S9 did, and with minimal usage and five apps installed (none of which have high battery consumption).

Size is okay, but the camera and side button layouts are very impractical. Whenever I hold the phone, my fingers block and smudge the camera lenses, and it is very uncomfortable and inconvenient having all the side buttons on one side (very difficult to take a screenshot).

Bixby should have its own button – another sad discontinuation of a useful feature. Edge panel is nearly impossible to use because of the discontinuation of the edge screen (which I quite enjoyed), especially with a heavy-duty phone case like mine (raised edges, which are absolutely necessary for a phone made as cheaply as this one).

I don’t know why they got rid of the LED indicator – that was one of the most useful features on both my S9 and S7. The camera in regular lighting is nothing special – basically the same as my S9; although, I will say that the night photos have impeccable quality.

I don’t know why they got rid of the headphone jack, as this phone’s battery capacity simply cannot withstand using bluetooth for wireless headphones hours on end. The display and animations are amazing, and processing speed is great; but again, not much better than even the Galaxy S8 in my personal opinion.

The proximity sensor is trash unless I am sitting directly in the blazing sunlight (I am assuming because of the “updated” technology, all for the sake of getting an extra eighth of an inch on the screen), and for some reason, the buttons lag or don’t register my touch every time when I enter my PIN on the lock screen.

Overall, the only good things about this phone are night photos and display. I didn’t mind having the eighth of an inch of screen taken up with sensors and indicators on my S9, and I found each of those “sensors” useful.

I don’t understand what the obsession is with getting a near 100% screen-to-body ratio on new Samsung phones is – but it’s very annoying and in my opinion frivolous. I also would love to know why Samsung stopped including travel adapters with their phones? Oh, right – more profit for them.

I have absolutely no use for whatever cord they included in the box with my S22 – I have no adapter to plug it into, and need to use my old (and trustworthy) S9 charge cord. I wish Samsung would go back to the S8 and S9 types of designs, or at least offer other flagship alternatives for those that were happy with the S9 and below.

This phone is more for entertainment and enjoyment rather than work and practicality, and I still need to carry my power bank and charge cord around with me – something I was hoping that I could stop doing with a new phone.

First things first, the main reason I got this phone was because it flipped open. It’s still really cool after having it for a couple of months (The dent in the middle of the main screen is going to be obvious when the light is hitting it a certain way, but when you’re holding it you’re not going to see it and if you do it’s not really noticeable but if you’re picky about stuff like that then this probably isn’t the best phone for you).

It also have face ID, fingerprint ID, and a password/pin/pattern option so the security is nice. And as someone who switched from an iPhone, this phone was relatively easy to set up and customize it to exactly what I wanted.

I do still believe that the outer screen is very purposeful, seeing as I usually open my phone to take pictures or to change a song, but if you’re someone who goes on their phone a lot- turning it on and off a lot- then this phone might get a tad bit annoying.

Also it’s difficult to open it with just one hand (it’s not impossible, just more difficultly than a phone should require) it will require two hands and it can get a little annoying. I also really love the fact that it can sit up while folded up, it’s most useful when I’m watching a video, using the calculator, or on a video call.

Now as for the things I didn’t like about it: 1. The battery life- it is god awful. Luckily I’m already someone who carries a portable charger and a laptop with them most of the time outside of my house so I’m able to plug it and I’m fine but at certain times- like going out for the night or going to work for a few hours- this phone will most likely die, or at the very best less than 20%, before you even get back home ESPECIALLY if you use your phone often.

2. Every filter on Tik Tok and some filters on other social media (Snapchat, Instagram, etc. ) don’t work at all so if you’re someone who likes to hop on trends that require the use of a filter this phone isn’t for you.

3. I’m not sure if this is just me but there are apps that won’t send me notifications. It’s a bit annoying because I have to remember to check the app myself to see if I’ve received any messages but again I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s just my phone.

I’ve tried installing and uninstalling the apps, restarting my phone etc. but I thought I’d still put it here in case anyone else had the same problem. 4. Like I stated in the first paragraph, it’s a real hassle to open up the phone with one hand and it might sound like I’m being nit-picky but it’s just something I’ve grown tired of on this phone.

5. This phone is beyond FRAGILE. I’m not someone that drops their phone and I even dedicated a little baggie to it that I regularly clean since it doesn’t have dust-resistance (so your pockets aren’t the best place to have this phone).

The main screen of the phone is made of plastic (which gives it more ease to fold without cracking in the middle) and because of this soft plastic it dents at the smallest amount of pressure. So if you’re someone with nails this isn’t the best phone for you and if you’re someone who likes having their phone in their pocket (or just anywhere that can have dust, crumbs, etc) then the little pieces of dust, rocks, etc.

will end up also leaving dents in the screen. Of course they’re not noticeable but when the phone is turned off you can see every little dent. I’m nit-picky about it because I like to have a clean phone.

All in all, I was very excited to hear Samsung had updated some of the features on the Z Flip and this flip phone concept is super awesome but they just have a few more kinks to work out and then this phone will be perfect!.

Foldables have captured my attention ever since their introduction in 2019. I was eagerly waiting for the day that they were actually viable for everyday use. Enter the Flip3. The price dropped, it’s more durable, waterproof, and has a better cover screen.

I knew I had to have it. I was currently enjoying my S21 coming from an iPhone, and the transition to Android was flawless, so I decided to get the Flip. Let’s start with cosmetics. It looks amazing.

Samsung really improved the looks from the previous Flip, which looked like a boring monolith. The cover screen is a lot better too, and I find myself using it a lot more than I thought I would. It feels great in the hand, and the display doesn’t feel much different from my S21.

Obviously, since the phone folds, it now fits in a lot more places, like shirt pockets, holsters, and smaller pockets in general. There is also the cool factor. When people see you bend and unbend what looks like a small wallet into a smartphone, you get some questions.

Overall, it’s a great looking phone. But looks aren’t everything, so let’s talk about this phone’s performance. There’s a lot to cover, so I’ll do a pros/cons section here. Pros: Chip, main and cover displays, speakers The golden parts of the performance start with the chip.

This phone has a Snapdragon 888, same as the S21 series. This means that this phone is packing an awesome chip. The main and cover displays are also a strong area of the phone, and also a great improvement over the last Flip.

You can actually do stuff on the cover screen now (crazy, I know!), and the main display is now almost the same as the S21 display, with the only difference being its size, aspect ratio, and having 1200 nits peak brightness instead of 1300 nits.

Lastly, the speakers are good too. They get loud and sound great, again, a huge improvement over the mono speaker of the previous Flip. Neutrals: Camera, durability, charging Next, the things that aren’t good, but aren’t bad either.

The cameras are alright. There’s nothing wrong with them at all, they take good photos. They are just old. They are similar to the cameras on the original Flip, which uses the cameras of the S10e, so these cameras aren’t new, but they take good photos, so I won’t complain too much about them.

Next, durability. For the first time in Z Flip history, the durability is neutral instead of terrible! Hooray Samsung! This phone is waterproof, but it’s not rated against dust, which is a huge step forward.

Previous Flips shouldn’t go anywhere near water. The display and main body is also much more resilient, leading to these breaking less than the previous Flip. Lastly, the charging is, well, fine. 15W isn’t fast, but at least it’s not 5W or 10W.

15W is totally tolerable in 2022. Cons: Battery, aspect ratio The worst part about this phone is the battery. It’s not bad, it can get you through a full day, but it’s just mediocre for a 6. 7″ $1000 phone.

You’d think that if a 6. 2″ compact phone can have 4000 MAH, then a 6. 7″ can have at least that as well. They did have to make the phone thinner though, as well as accommodating the hinge, but even 3500 MAh would have made the phone so much better.

Next, the aspect ratio. Why is the phone so darn tall?! This makes apps very strange sometimes. Most apps are fine on this phone, but many aren’t. You have to go into display settings to force it to use full screen, which should just happen automatically.

Actually, it shouldn’t happen at all, the phone should just be shorter! Now, I’d like to talk about the biggest benefit of having a Flip style smartphone. First of all, especially if you have a Galaxy watch paired with it, you slowly learn how to use the phone less.

With a regular phone, that beautiful Full HD 120HZ LTPO OLED display is staring at you, and if it’s not, the triple camera setup is. You can practically hear the phone telling you to spend 2 hours scrolling.

This doesn’t happen on the Flip. Opening the phone is now a more conscious decision, so it doesn’t just happen anymore. This means you can now look at your notifications, or think about the task you were going to do, and judge if it really needs attention.

This leads to not being absorbed into your phone as much, and I found myself being much less attached to it, and more connected to reality. This, in my opinion, is the best part of having a Flip.

Would have given this phone six stars if that were an option. The last time I’d bought a premium phone was 15 years ago – a Moto Razr. After the iPhone was introduced – the death knell sounded for smart flip-phones in the US.

Over that period, had replaced the post-Razr LG flip-phone once (NOS from eBay), and the battery three times. It wasn’t that the battery had failed – just that it wasn’t holding a charge as long. Further, the back just slid off, to access the battery slot – no glue that needed to be melted.

In any case, was skeptical of the Z flip/fold screens from the outset – and put off by the high price. But became a believer in the foldable-screen technology, after playing with the BB display models during several visits – though I’d have been OK with two half-screens at half the $.

This week, my carrier and BB dropped the price significantly, so I bought one. The features I really like: > I don’t need a case, and it fits in my pocket – just like the Razr or LG phones > (the sixth star) Prop it up in flex mode on the desktop, and it’s like a mini-laptop.

Aside from the awkward form factor of flat-phones, never could thumb the way 99% of folks seem able to naturally do. On the desktop, though, using two index fingers, can type almost as fast as when on a full-size keyboard using all fingers/thumbs, because of the small reach.

And the flex angle is – well – completely flexible. Not just one open position > I can still use my favorite (wired) headset, using a pigtail with USB-C and 3. 5 mm connections. There’s a small delay compared to direct analog, but nowhere near as long as a typical Bluetooth delay To net, probably paying a ~$300 premium for being able to fold an S21 (my smarter half upgrades their Galaxy, every third generation – now a S21).

Finally, a shout-out to the consistently knowledgeable/ helpful BB staff, across all sales and service roles.

This review is regarding the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G. I’ve been out of the loop about phones for awhile now. My trusty Note 4 had finally reached the end of its lifespan that replacing batteries could no longer fix (partial bootloop and my carrier shutting down 3G which would make it unable to do voice calls) and it was high time for a new phone anyhow.

I was planning on replacing it before this all happened and was just figuring I’d get the newest Note they had available at the time, but my friend had the Galaxy Z Flip 5G and I was absolutely blown away by the design.

At first I was gonna get the Motorola Razr instead cuz of nostalgia, but then I looked into the actual specs and pricing and it was a hard pass. The Z Flip 3 had literally just came out and while it wasn’t as “top of the line” as the rest of the flagships available, it was still quite the upgrade from my old Note, so none of what it lacked was a dealbreaker for me.

I’m very happy with my purchase thus far. The design, quality of the screen, great speakers, camera, and the intricate file system make this a valuable replacement for my dusty old notebook that I used for writing miscellaneous notes.

It definitely isn’t the phone for everyone if the top specs, camera, and battery life are your primary concern, but it’s still a solid device that I’d buy all over again in a heartbeat. I’d say this is a perfect phone for an average user who misses having a flip phone and wants to experience something new.

Edit: Just realized I didn’t address the crease which is most people’s concern about these things. Honestly, being that I wrote this review on said phone and forgot all about it should tell you what you need to know.

Unless you’re in direct sunlight or actively looking for it, you truly don’t notice it looking at the phone straight on. Kind of like how you don’t notice your nose unless you take a moment to look is my comparison on the matter.

Some can live with that, some can’t. For me it’s not really a matter worth mentioning since it’s so easily ignored.

I upgraded to the 2nd generation Z Flip 5g in February 2021 right before the 3 came out. It’s a neat little device that brings back the nostalgia of the early 2000s but super hi-def. It’s a bit heavy although perfectly compact for my needs.

So here’s the problem. The screen was defective upon arrival but if I restarted the phone it would go away for awhile. I called att and they told me that att warranty does not deal with the flips and folds and would have to go through Samsung warranty.

Samsung wanted me to drive 3 hours from my house to a repair center or send the phone in to be repaired despite not having inventory so I choose to deal with the defect until the phone started resetting itself in August.

I called Samsung again and was put in some purgatory of a wait list for a replacement. I received one 30 days after my initial claim that was DOA. Called Samsung back and they wanted me to send it back for repair despite not having inventory of parts to fix it or phones to replace it or drive 3 hours to a repair center again.

So I called att after all the BS and loyalty retention paid the deductible for the their insurance company to send out another device. I’ve had it for about two months and it’s restarting itself without saving my settings and the outside screen is acting strange.

Called the insurance company and they won’t replace it because they have a 30 day defective period and I’ve had it for 60 days. Called att and they still refuse to accept under their warranty because Samsung only deals with the flips and folds.

Called Samsung warranty and they told me they would get back to me in 72 business hours with a decision to refund me. For those who got working devices good for them because it’s a cute compact device but for the others like me, Samsung is pulling some serious BS.

It’s criminal. I’ve read the reviews on the 3 generation and it seems like a toss up as well. Samsung has the folds and flips under wraps because it’s new technology and the people that purchased these defective devices are caught in the middle of it all.

I haven’t had a properly working $1400 phone in almost a year and none of the companies are taking responsibility. There should be a warning before you purchase these phones that the carrier does not honor the warranty and it’s in the POS manufacturers hands.

I upgraded from an iPhone 6, to this phone around a month ago, and I’m so happy I did. I’m not supposed to say how much I paid for it, but I got it on a really good black Friday deal, if it had been the original price, I do not think I would have bought it.

The camera app is glitchy sometimes, it’s a little bit slow occasionally, but those are really the only two gripes I have. The screen is gigantic, if you have small pockets, I’d recommend a smaller phone.

It’s really tall vertically, which makes for an odd contrast ratio, and at times awkward looking pictures and selfies, when you’re looking at them from other devices. Pictures are pretty good, not phenomenal such as an *ahem* goggle piksul *ahem* (I’m not allowed to mention competitors) but I’ve been satisfied with almost all the pictures I’ve gotten.

The shutter speed is quite slow sometimes, which is SUPER annoying when it happens. The audio it picks up though is great, unless you’re recording voice notes in the messages app. The battery life is absolutely phenomenal.

Sometimes I have ended the day with 2 1/2 hours of screen on time, and 80% battery. It’s RARE that I will end the day with less than 50%, and I have an app installed that tracks my location at all times, so that drains more battery than normal as well.

The fingerprint sensor is also very fast, and reliable. Speakers are super loud, which comes in handy. If you have only $250-$300 to spend on a phone, this would be one to consider, but if you can get this on a deal that puts it at $200 or lower, it is amazing value for the money.

Another amazing thing I’ve loved about this phone is just how much I can change about it. With my iPhone 6 there was none of it, but with this phone, I can change almost anything I want. Oh also, haptic feedback (vibrations when you touch a key) are good, not great, but not horrible, in my opinion.

I had gone through a living hell trying to replace an old Moto Z2 Force phone which was no longer being supported by Tracfone (the SafeLink carrier) Even though they made my phone unusable, they refused to replace it! I did not have a link and I did not feel safe so I had to suck it up and buy an unlocked phone.

While the Best Buy sales associate was unable to confirm that this phone would be compatible with my SafeLink account, he did go well out of his way and tried. I have learned not to place much stock in Best Buy employees but I found that this one particular employee did the absolute best that he could despite the dodgy service I come to expect from Best Buy.

I decided to take the gamble provided I could return the phone if unusable. I was shocked to discover that Best Buy would charge a restocking fee if I did return the phone – a sum that amounted to roughly a third of the price! Needless to say, I cannot recommend ever doing business with Best Buy but due to healthcare issues, I needed to make a purchase, asap.

To my pleasant surprise, I was able to install my TracFone/SafeLink sim card and after securing the phone through my Google account, the phone worked beautifully! I don’t live on the telephone and have a wonderful Leica for taking pictures.

I’d no sooner listen to music on a cell phone than eat convenience store sushi but this phone’s camera is awesome enough and the headphone jack feeds my pro-level, power-hungry headphones with crisp, clean audio.

Every other phone I have owned drained power just on account of it being a phone. This phone seems not to know it’s on unless I am actively surfing, texting, or making calls. Going 3 or 4 days without charging is the norm.

It is a heavier phone than some but I’d like to think my portal to the free world has some heft! It is a nice solid phone with a responsive screen. The finish is not slip-proof but inasmuch as phones should be in protective cases, that is not really a big deal.

I would, and have recommended this phone to friends but not without mentioning that It can be bought elswwhere.

Purchased the product a couple of months ago, and it has tons of things to like about it but also some noticeable flaws. The Good: 1) The design is gorgeous! I love the victus glass on the back of the phone, and the way Samsung implemented the “bump” for the large camera censors, it is just gorgeous and uniqe! The black versions look slick, the silvers look classy, and the different tones between the glass and the “bump” are really nice, yet the violet-rose gold and red-gold versions are the real unique ones, again, prettiest phones I ever saw! 2) Samsung interface is always the nicest out of the android devices 3) The battery- gets you through the day even if you game or open tons of tabs on chrome, really stands out for me.

4) Great screen and performance overall 5) phone supports wifi 6 6) Samsung Dex is pretty unique and a really nice feature Samsung should advertise more. 7) except for the camera, the S21+ offers almost the same specs as the S21 Ultra which costs way more The bad: 1) Price- The competition today is tough, and other companies offer way cheaper phones for performance and specs close to what Samsung has to offer, I still prefer Samsung as I owned plenty of their devices so far and loved them, but aside of design, it isn’t that tempting for people who consider switching from other companies.

2) The Exynos chip- in the US Samsung offers the snapdragon 888 chip, but outside the US they offer their exynos chip which is not really that great, it isn’t as good performance wise, consumes more battery, and gets way hotter, and therefore after some time during heavy loads the devices gets hotter and slows down a bit.

Next generation of Exynos should feature AMD Zen 2 graphics which should be epic, but the current Exynos chip is a a little disappointing. *Most people won’t really feel the difference* 3) Heat- just want to repeat it, the device gets way hotter than I feel comfortable with during gaming or heavy tasks, both the screen and back are seriously hot.

*Temperatures are normal during casual use* 4) The camera- the design is really good, but the cameras performance is very inconsistent. sometimes I get really good photos and videos with vibrant colors and great skin textures, yet at times they get blurry or the colors are way off.

I know it is not the S21 Ultra’s 108 MP camera, but the Iphones and others take way better photos with 12 MP cameras. I expect better at this price with 64 MP. overall I love the device yet I think people should know the pro’s and cons before purchasing.

Been needing a new phone for a while and switched to this phone after hemming and hawing over Black Friday deals. Missed the Black Friday sale on the S21 Ultra unlocked for $850 (down from $1,250) @ BestBuy and really regret it.

So when I saw the S21FE 256gb on sale a week ago for two hundred off (I paid $569. 99 on sale) I figured it was time. (In addition to the extra storage of the 256gb vs. 128gb I like the fact that I am getting an extra 2gb of RAM – the 128gb S21FE has 6gb of RAM; the 256gb S21FE has 8gb of RAM.

) I am coming from an LG G7 ThinQ which was a great phone for the first 18 months or so, but the last two years have been rough! It had a 3,000 mAh battery from the factory, so after two years I had to charge it at least twice a day.

I would charge it in the morning t 100%, set it on the counter for 30 minutes and come back to it at 90%. And the LG G7 had become VERY laggy. This new Galaxy S21FE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT!! For example, I fully charged the phone yesterday morning (took about 75 minutes to go from 6% to 100% battery with a Samsung 25 watt wall plug and the included cord) and then I went all through the day yesterday, all last night until bed time, today all day at work and at 5:00 this evening, I was finally down to 7% battery and decided it was time for another charge.

That’s what going from a 3,000 mAh battery to a 4,500 mAh battery will do!! I consider that to be OUTSTANDING battery life compared to my old phone. I can’t imagine what the S21 Ultra would’ve been like!! The S21FE is very fast and does not lag at all compared to my LG G7 ThinQ.

My only complaint would be Samsung customer care. I called them with a few questions – one being that I wanted to add a desktop “widget” for the folder “videos” where I keep all my downloaded movies.

I had done this on my LG 24 months ago but couldn’t remember how to do it on this phone – the agent wanted me to create a Samsung Care customer profile and when I didn’t want to, she got rather snarky.

Told me that I was unable to do what I wanted to. I then mentioned that it wouldn’t be a very good look for them if my 30 month old LG G7 was more customizable than their new Galaxy S21FE, which did not go over well either.

I was also told that I should only use Samsung brand cables and wall plugs or I risk damaging my device. I mentioned that all of my existing wall plugs were either LG brand or Anker and my cables were all Amazon Basics or Anker brand, but I was told those would possibly hurt my battery.

When I asked “how?” I did not receive a straight answer and was told I could “do whatever I wanted. ” I checked this information with several of the people in the technology department where I work (most of them have Galaxy S20’s or S21’s) and they all laughed! Seems as long as you’re using solid brand wall plugs and cables like Anker, Spigen, Amazon Basics (and I have had good luck w/ the brand UGreen) then you’ll be fine.

Ultimately I figured out how to make a “shortcut” to the videos folder on my homescreen myself without their help – all you have to do is press and hold on the folder you want, then once it’s check marked, touch the three little vertical periods/dots near the word “MORE” in the bottom right and select “Add to home screen” and it’s done.

There are tons of good YouTube videos out there about “Things to do Immediately After You Turn on your S21FE” which are somewhat helpful, although I wasn’t interested in all the suggestions. And YouTube has videos showing how to do ALMOST anything you’re not sure how to do on the Galaxy S21 series.

One thing I did immediately was change the screen refresh rate from 120hz to 60hz. 60hz is fine for me and apparently saves a decent amount on battery life. The cameras on my new S21FE are noticeably better than my LG G7 ThinQ’s cameras, too.

The zoom is INCREDIBLE!! The ONLY area I think my LG has this S21FE beat are the factory speakers – the speakers on the LG G7 still sound great and are noticeably better than the S21’s speakers, especially when the phone is set down on a table or desk.

This S21FE is still solid with it’s stereo sound (2 speakers) but it’s only about 70% as good sound quality as my LG was. I also bought a Spigen Tough Armor case from Amazon for about $14 and some KKT brand tempered glass screen protectors ($10.

99) and so far they’re working just fine – no bubbles after installing the screen protector. For $500-$600 or less, this phone in 128gb or 256gb is a SOLID option. Samsung should have priced it $100 lower from the factory in my opinion ($599 for 128 gb and $669 for 256gb) and then with the $200 off sale it would have been $399 and $469 which feels more appropriate considering all the great value/performance offered by Android phones from Motorola and OnePlus.

This S21FE doesn’t seem to have any of the issues that plagued the Pixel 6 during it’s first 4-5 months on the market, like the fingerprint reader (my S21FE’s fingerprint reader has been GREAT even with a budget brand tempered glass screen protector from Amazon).

This S21FE combines all the essentials of their flagship S21 line with a lower price – HIGHLY RECOMMEND this phone if you’re looking for an excellent value!! Just wait for it to go on sale again before you buy.

I would NOT recommend this phone at full price ($699 or $769) because the value is not there.

I’ve had mine only a week, and so far I love it. I traded in my 4 year old S9+, which I also loved, but only because the battery was getting weak. I thought of replacing its battery for $100, but I just couldn’t refuse the deal Samsung is currently offering for a brand new S21 FE 5g.

The S21 FE is exactly the same physical size as my old S9+ and both fit my hand perfectly, but somehow the FE has almost a quarter inch larger screen primarily at the top of the display. The SD865 CPU is plenty powerful, the 4500 mAh battery is a big plus, especially for me, and the guaranteed 4 years of OS support is unbeatable.

I considered getting the S22 for only $100 more, but it had a slightly smaller battery and less screen real estate, so the S21 FE with 5g was the right phone for me at the perfect trade-in price. Its only shortcoming (to me) is the lack of SD Card expansion storage, but with 128 GB to start, there are plenty of ways to get around that these days.

The plastic back is no issue since I always use a well-made, attractive case to protect my phones, and I’ve never cracked a phone screen anyway. (Watch – I probably just jinxed myself. ) Overall, it’s a very attractive phone with a beautiful display, excellent battery life and processing power, 5g connectivity, the perfect size for my hand, excellent triplet rear camera setup and 4 years of OS support.

For almost 60% off its list price (with an extra Samsung coupon), how could I refuse this offer from Samsung? Unless you absolutely must have the S-Pen and/or the S22 Ultra, this S21 FE 5g is like an offer from Vito Corleone “that you just can’t refuse”.

Un des meilleurs Téléphone que j’ai eux de ma vie, il a une apparance très professionnel et élégante, vraiment passe partout. Ses bord epais mais arrondie dans les coins le rend plus esthétique comparer aux anciens modèle.

La seul chose qui m’a un peu étonné c’est que le compartiment pour la carte sim était en bas pres du chargeur ( alors que j’ai l’habitude qu’il soit sur le côté gauche du Téléphone). Ensuite les haut parleur sont littéralement parfait, le son sors des 2 haut parleur quand je regarde des vidéos ( ce qui donne un effet 3D) et surtout que les 2 haut parleur sont très puissant et on entend parfaitement (même pour quelqu’un comme moi qui a des difficultés à correctement entendre ).

Ensuite l’écran est génial, la caméra de selfis est bien intégré dans l’écran et la qualité est merveilleuse, la qualité de la caméra arrière est encore mieux. Seul petit défaut avec la camera arrière c’est que je trouve personnellement que elle sort trop du Téléphone et que il y aurait un potentiel risque que elles se brisent plus facilement, mais ça ne m’a pas encore arrivé donc je suis très satisfait.

Le mode vidéo “vue du réalisateur” est aussi une merveille technologie, elle me permet facilement de réaliser des vlogs, ou des vidéos dans des attractions, comme des attractions aquatique ( la résistance de l’eau du Téléphone est très pratique aussi, et me préviens quand des goûts d’eau on été détecté dans le téléphone chose que je trouve génial pour éviter des catastrophes).

La luminosité de l’écran permet aussi de quand même voir quand le soleil tape en plein dans le téléphone et permet aussi diminuer un maximum la luminosité quand il fait sombre grâce au différents fonctionnalités.

Même si je trouve que l’adaptateur automatique de luminosité peut être encore un peu améliorer. Le téléphone permet aussi de recharger d’autre téléphone ou des écouteur super facilement, par ailleurs les écouteurs samsung buds2 s’adapte parfaitement avec le samsung s22+.

Le téléphone est aussi très fluide et ne bug pas du tout, toutes les applications se lancent super rapidement et sans difficulté ou bug d’affichage. La personnalisation du Téléphone est aussi poussée à son maximum, je peux vraiment changer presque tout dans mon téléphone chose que je trouve génial car chaque téléphone est différent grâce à ces fonctionnalités.

Par contre ce que je trouve dommage, c’est que pour change la couleur du thème du Téléphone, on peut choisir que a partir de thème près défini en lien avec mon fond d’écran, je trouve que ça aurait était mieux si on aurait pu nous même créé nos palette de couleurs.

Toutes les modifications dans l’éditeur de la galerie permet aussi une modifications des photos et vidéos poussée à leur maximum du potentiel. Le seul défaut que j’ai remarqué pour l’instant, c’est que quand je met en charge le téléphone et que je suis en même temps en apel, la batterie va prendre 2 fois plus de temps à charger.

Sinon je n’ai remarqué aucun autre défaut. Mais personnellement je recommande à 100% ce téléphone. Merci beaucoup.

Ceci n’est pas mon premier GSM Samsung que je possède et pourtant c’est celui qui me donne plus de satisfaction que ses prédécesseurs. En effet, mon aventure avec la marque Samsung a commencé avec le modèle Galaxy S5 qui m’a surpris positivement après avoir utiliser un Iphone 5S pendant une bonne période.

Après le S5 j’ai continué pendant longtemps avec un S9+ et au bout de vie de celui-ci me voilà avec un S22 Ultra. Le GSM après le déballage m’a directement impressionné avec ça qualité de l’écran ainsi que son taux de rafraichissement de 120Hz, passer de 60Hz à 120Hz reste une sensation vraiment unique que je souhaite à tout le monde.

La qualité de l’écran est incomparable pour moi et les photos qu’il réalise sont époustouflantes. Pour ce qui concerne les fonctionnalité, celle-ci reste similaire aux modèles précédent que j’ai utiliser mais plus raffiner comme par exemple le lecteur d’empreinte qui est très fluide, beaucoup mieux placé que dans les anciens GSM (à l’arrière dans le cas du s9+) et beaucoup plus responsive.

Un très grand plus pour avoir combiné les gammes Galaxy S et les Note, le fait que les nouveaux galaxy viennent directement avec un stylet me facilite beaucoup plus les taches qui demande un peu plus de précisions à cause des petits boutons dans les applications.

La présentation du GSM est très bonne et le design est beaucoup plus beau que mon ancien Galaxy S9+. Cependant tout n’est pas parfait dans le S22 ultra. En effet, je trouve dommage que la batterie du GSM ne tient pas autant que la concurrence pendant une utilisation normal du smartphone.

Celui-ci tient plus ou moins la même durer que S9+ alors que celui-ci à déjà 5ans et c’est pour ça par ailleurs que je mets 4 étoiles au lieu de 5 en ce qui concerne le rapport qualité-prix. La deuxième chose que je trouve dommage c’est que le smartphone n’a plus la petite lumière qui indique si on a des notifications.

Certes ce n’est qu’un détail mais cette petite lumière permettait de voir de loin si nous avons eu une notification ou pas. Ici, je suis obligé d’aller à mon GSM afin de voir si j’ai reçu quelque chose.

Que ce soit dans mon travail ou pendant le temps libre, mon GSM est très rarement à porter de main et avec le S9+ la petite diode m’aider pas mal à savoir si j’ai raté une notification ou pas. Bien évidemment si mon smartphone n’est pas en mode silencieux c’est facile de définir si on a une notification mais dans mon cas je dois souvent avoir le GSM en mode vibreur ou en silencieux.

Cependant ces petits problèmes sont rattraper par tous les qualité du GSM qui serait trop longue à décrire et le plaisir que ce smartphone me fournis reste indescriptible. En conclusion, le Galaxy S22 ultra est un smartphone très classe avec tellement de points positifs que les rares petits défauts qui font surface après un moment ne pousse pas l’utilisateur à regarder chez la concurrence pour un nouveau GSM.

Pour ma part, une nouvelle fois que je fais confiance a Samsung et encore une fois je me sens satisfaits par la qualité du produit.

Again, a nice, solid, well-designed Apple product. The transition was seamless from my iphone 8 (if you want to see how seamless, there are plenty of youtube videos that show the procedure and that will ease your hesitancy).

Most of my settings came over–I think i just had to adjust the off-time (when it goes to lock screen due to inactivity) but virtually everything else was copied directly. After all my apps redownloaded they seemed to keep their histories.

VOLUME is so much better on this than on the 8. I think there are probably only three things keeping this from being a 5-star item, and one of those is the carrier’s fault. First, and this is probably my issue, not the phone’s.

I’m not as wowed by new apple products as I used to be. The upgrades and new features just don’t impact me the way they used to. So when I got this there wasn’t something I focused on and became obsessed with to talk about how great my new phone is compared to my old one.

Second, you sell the phone and you include a new cable (USB-C to Lightning) but you don’t include the adapter. Your old adapter cable combo will work with it (fortunately), but not including an adapter that can accept a USB-C seems like penny-pinching on something that’s in general a very expensive product.

The third thing is just that now it has been a week since I transitioned it and I haven’t gotten the return information to send back my old phone (which got me a rebate). That makes me nervous. Says to allow up to 10 days.

Just noting that last transition (6plus to 8plus) took me 2 days to get it. That’s more an ATT thing, but to me it all counts toward the product experience and the whole experience is what people want to know about.

Counting down the days until I go back to android (Previous pixel 3 and pixel 5 owner). I was content with the android experience. recently and admittedly got peer pressured by friends to get into the iPhone because they can’t stand my “green bubble”, and iMessage doesn’t play nice with android pictures/facetime, group chats, ect.

My gripes, which are personal to me and not necessarily everyone: – iOS is annoying to navigate – Face ID doesn’t work on many inconvenient occasions. Unlocking the home screen when it doesn’t work is cumbersome and annoying.

– iOS app badges all blend together it looks like camouflage of apple squares. For some reason android app buttons pop more visually. – Quick glance information ( battery percentage, temperature, date, time) falls short, and should “jump out” at the user for quick comprehension.

All the information just blends together. – “Back” and “home” gesturing creates a lot of strain in my hand and inefficiency. – This phone feels like a brick. It’s heavy, I have pain in my hand using this phone.

-Typing/texting on this phone is a nightmare. I’ve tried swiping, double handed, single handed. tried messing with settings, it mistypes words so much I have stopped texting friends. It’s almost like the keyboard is broken.

I never had an issue with accurate and fast typing on my pixels. It’s my biggest problem with the phone. I can’t even type a single word without it auto correcting and adding periods everywhere. The only good thing about the phone: battery life, clear and smooth display, possibly the performance.

On a daily basis, android ecosystem and function works a lot better for me. I’m going back to either the Pixel 7 or Samsung S22Ultra.

I love my 12ProMax over all. However. The other day, mine broke. The back of it shattered. You might be wondering “what?? phones can still do that??” And the answer is, if it’s Apple, then yes. Apple thrives off of carrying the “best of the best, the newest and best technology”… but it comes with a twist.

With that beautiful sleek design comes fragility that not even a really good case and extreme precaution can protect from. My iPhone was in a good case, and still, it managed to shatter. Not the front, but the back.

The part that is apparently supposed to be even stronger than the screen. Absolutely totaled. Seeing as I had gotten my iPhone only 8 short months previously, I figured that I was well under warranty still and, even though I had purchased my phone through Verizon, should still be covered through Apple under the limited warranty that is available for a whole year after purchase (and that I was still well within).

I read on their website that they would be able to repair just the back of the phone for $99 under warranty; which makes sense because it seems like a manufacturing error that my phone would shatter from little to no impact while in a case.

I made an appointment at the Apple store, and apparently my high hopes for such an expensive phone were too high. Due to the fact that I didn’t purchase a specific type of Apple Care, they would not replace the back glass panel for $99 under my one year warranty.

Instead, they offered to replace just the back of my phone for a one time low cost of FIVE. HUNDRED. NINETY. NINE. DOLLARS. Needless to say I wasn’t going to pay $600 to solely replace the back panel of my phone.

At that point, it was cheaper to just replace the entire phone. So, I ended up contacting my insurance company and doing just that. Two days later I have a brand new phone through Asurion (NOT Apple) for well over half of what Apple would have charged for just the back glass paneling.

It is super sad to see that a corporation that had gotten so much of my business is so selfish. But I am not shocked. So all in all, I love my device. But it is way more fragile than it should be, and Apple banks on this being the case so they can scam you into paying an unreasonable amount of money for a replacement.

Just be warned, Apple is very little help when their products break due to poor manufacturing, and if you buy this phone, expect to be let down by Apple if you need help, and definitely expect to have to go through your carrier’s insurance and file a whole claim because Apple can’t be bothered to fix what is definitely their fault.

I had reservations about switching to iPhone as I’ve been an Android user for the past 10 years or more. The reservations I had were about the battery life, iOS, being locked to the apple store and the lcd screen on this phone.

The specs on paper are nothing to write home about and if it was an Android I would have probably bypassed this phone. So glad I didn’t. 1. The battery life is amazing, I’m a moderate user, calls, banking, messages, watching YouTube and using sat nav.

By the end of a day I still have around 40-50% battery left which I never got on my Android. My Android phone had a 4500mah battery and this one I think is 3400, I’m not sure what wizardry they have under the hood but it’s incredibly efficient without compromising on performance.

The Apple store has all the apps I was using with Android and all apps work smoothly and seamlessly. My Android phone was a super amoled compared to this lcd the Android screen is better but marginally.

The Liquid Retina display on this thing is amazing, and yes the blacks are not as deep as an amoled but the difference is very little, I was so pleasantly surprised. Face unlock is super responsive. The iOS does take some getting used to but I adjusted very quickly to it.

Only negative points were remembering all the passwords to the apps, downloading my CDs onto the iPhone which I watched a YouTube video and managed and having to buy a usb adaptor so I could charge the phone.

Apart from these minor gripes I’m so glad I switched this really is a well built and quality phone. Yes you can get a very decent mid range Android with better specs but this will blow it out of the water.

It took me ages to take the plunge but do not regret it one bit. Furthermore, got this with a further 10% cash back from Very. Win win.

I really do like this phone, and the Straight Talk Customer Service was very helpful, which is why I gave this 3 stars. However, it was a pain to get it going. First, I did not realize Apple doesn’t send a way to charge this phone.

They send a charger, but nothing to plug it into, like a wall adapter. When I got the phone, I was broke and having to quarantine, so it was another week before I could go to the store to purchase something to help charge the phone, which meant I could barely use it for the first week.

Also, I almost threw away the activation and SIM card because they blended in so much with packaging. I was looking for a big red card and instead it was in a small gray envelope attached to the plastic wrap.

I only found it a week later after I got a charger, because thankfully I saved all the packaging. Then the phone still would not activate, and I had to spend all weekend getting this fixed. Thankfully, I was able to chat with Straight Talk customer service, and they were really helpful.

It turned out after spending all day today trying to get this fixed that it needed to run an update for about 30 minutes before working right. I can say now I like a lot about this phone, like the camera, having more space, and the sound quality.

I had to buy wireless earbuds, but I am able to use some $25 Skull Candy bluetooth ones instead of buying higher dollar Apple ones. I’m also glad to see Spotify is compatible, because that is the main app I use.

I think I will love my phone now that I can finally use it, but it has taken about two weeks of worry trying to get to this point.

This phone is fast, it’s simple, and it’s easy, much like previous iPhones. I admit the lack of home button scared me at first, as I had previously only owned an iPhone 8 and iPhone 6, however the transition is smooth and rather satisfying to swipe away the apps rather than click… a feature I had not noticed before in previous makes.

I admit when making this purchase I bought it for the camera, I had hopes of this amazing camera I could use for photography or simply to just take photos of day to day life and capture the exact beauty… whilst this camera does come with noticeable improvements from previous iPhones, it isn’t amazing.

I would have wanted something more from a camera that had been the main focus of the phone. Despite this, the camera is still good! The features to expand photos to get more of the scenery in is amazing, the way it makes dark photos lighter, or even the detail you can capture in video, especially with higher settings.

Something I had noticed that I wish this phone had, is fingerprint recognition. Whilst yes, the face recognition is cool, there are times where, it simply doesn’t recognise my face, or I’m wearing a mask so I can’t use it, or I’m laying down in the dark cuddled up in my blanket, face smooshed to unrecognisable proportions… and those times I have to type in my passcode just to see my notifications in further detail because the phone cannot see me.

I have noticed that android phones still have the finger print recognition, despite the lack of a home button, and as well as face recognition. This is something Apple must think about in its upcoming products.

I miss the simplicity of fingerprint recognition and it’s the one thing this phone is lacking. As for battery life. It isn’t amazing, but it isn’t as bad as previous generations. There is still a lot of work to do when it comes to battery life, especially when comparing my iPhone to my boyfriends android, his can last days where as mine is lucky to last the same day, with both of us using our phones just as much as each other.

As for the waterproof features… yes this phone is waterproof, though even getting water inside the charging port will prevent you from charging. This feature helps to protect your phone from damage caused from water meeting electricity in the charger needed to charge your phone… you are also given the option to force a charge if it is an emergency and are warned of the risks.

The best option for this is to having a charging pad, rather than a charging cable… though it isn’t exactly something I would have wished for a “waterproof” product to have. I think the next step is to find a more water friendly way of charging without there needing to be a risk warning at all, yet still being as handy as the lead charger, in which you can still pick up your phone.

I bought this A53 in early April, and already it has come out with several software updates. I am extremely pleased with Samsung adopting a longevity policy for continued updates, which will make this phone very practical well into 2026.

The A53 is only around three inches across, so very comfortable in smaller hands like mine. I bought the A53, my first Samsung mid-range device, instead of flagships, and will never go back to a Samsung flagship, after eight years of having used them, unless they reincorporate the SD card slot.

This is a must-have for all my media. The dual speakers on this smaller and cheaper device are better than those on the flagship. You get a resonance that is wonderful to hear when streaming. It is very handy on this device, as with later Samsung devices, to have all the hard buttons on the right side of the device.

This prevents one from accidentally invoking another feature, such as Bixby, when grasping the phone. You will see lots of reviews discussing the camera features, which I use, but I am going to talk about accessibility features, since hardly any review features these.

I use the TalkBack screen reader with the device, and Samsung’s TalkBack has come a long way since its troubling debut early last year. They have already come out with an updated TalkBack version on the heels of Google’s latest iteration, and now, I find no difference in performance, although Google’s version 12.

2 has a couple extra features, such as an image recognition feature and eliminating volume buttons slider control, substituting with an up or down scroll finger swipe. As of a couple days ago, the Samsung TTS version is on a parr with the flagships, a request I first put in when I got my A53.

I learned that these updates come sllightly later to mid-range phones, such as the A53. The only other change I would make to the phone is to increase the haptic intensity, but certainly not a deal breaker, just a preference.

To a sighted person, tactile haptic feedback is like visual screen intensity. The phone functions quickly and efficiently, and is a great work horse. I like a phone to do what I want it to do, when I want it to.

I have over 100 apps on my phone and operate out of the apps tray, as I have it organized alphabetically, and don’t allow app additions to my home screen. I use the home screen as a landing page for my time and weather widget, and let the phone do the organizing for me which has saved me countless hours deciding about and organizing home screens.

In summary, unless you have to have a flagship, or prefer the bigger screen, you will be pleasantly surprised with the A53 and glad of the purchase. Should Samsung take away any more features, other than the SD card slot from their mid-ranger or budget phones, Samsung and I will part company after eight years.

But for now, I am a “happy camper. “.

I bought the A53 5G knowing it had the Samsung Exynos processor and it is good. Samsung’s battery optimization software helps protect, prolong and improve the endurance of the battery. With battery saver, the battery capped at 85% charge, and other optimizations made by the phone, I am getting a full day’s use without a problem.

By capping the battery to 85%, it reduces the degradation of the battery’s capacity and sometimes (in one study) improves the capacity over time. Performance is great, the screen is beautiful with 120hz and 60hz, I rarely use 120hz because Youtube video(s) are capped at 60hz and gaming doesnt go beyond 60fps, so the 120hz only helps when scrolling or reading the news, so I turn it off most of the time.

If you are not gaming, Battery Saver caps the CPU speed of the phone to 70% and it works great even during gaming, and it prolongs the phone’s battery even longer. If you are just reading the news, watching videos, or shopping online there is no need to use 100% of the CPU speed, and it increases the battery life even longer.

Fast charging works with a Samsung Fast charger, I am getting less than 40mins from 20% to 85%, and that is enough for the entire day for me. I try to keep the battery between 20% and 85%. It would probably go to 100% if I turned off the battery protect feature as the charging slows down as it hits the cap that is set (85% or 100%).

In terms of performance, Samsung has made numerous updates to the phone and the performance has improved, it is best to give Samsung more time to improve the Exynos processors and software to make it great over-time.

The camera is excellent, with the NPU (Neutral Processing Unit/AI-Machine Learning), it is able to capture photos with great quality, colour and edit them to make imperfections better. For the price, the A53 5G gives you the 5G features most people need, the camera, the performance, and the battery life for a price that is reasonable.

You buy this phone because of the above features and the long-term support of 5 years of security updates and 4 years of major OS updates.

First, this is a mid-range phone. Samsung made a name for itself by building awesome phones at reasonable prices. Now you can easily spend over $1,000 for one of their more premium phones. I’m not sure any mobile phone deserves that high a price tag.

Theree was a period Samsung swung to knock it out of the park every time they introduced a new phone. Here they hit about a double. They have created the perfect mid-range cell phone for Purgatory. Everything is just ok here.

and there is the problem. Nothing about it stands out, is groundbreaking, or memorable. People’s phones are very personal items and there’s just no look, feature, feeling, or theme with this phone. The specs on paper indicate it should be a beast.

I got the 128 GB version with 6 GB RAM. Storage is expandable up to 1 TB by adding an SD card. You can also add an additional 6GB of virtual RAM on the memory card you add. and yet, I can still tell no difference.

It is powered by Samsung’s own 1280 Exynos octa-core processor, which isn’t going to break any speed records but gets the job done. It is a little laggy at times, and one wonders how much better this phone would be if something, ANYTHING, stood out about it.

Only the heavy gamer need avoid this phone. It has NFC, comes with Android 12, and Samsung guarantees 4 operating system upgrades and 5 years of security patches. I wanted to give this phone 5 stars, but I just can’t for the following reasons: 1.

) It feels cheap and I’m not just talking about the plastic case all around it. Even with a Super AMOLED 120 Hz screen, nothing seems zippy or fluid. Pictures are adequate, but nothing on the screen is vivid, even when I have the vivid setting on.

Some of this was improved by working with the settings and putting it in a less bulky case and a screen protector on it. I suggest you do the same, because if you want all those years of updates and security patches you gotta protect the phone.

2. ) There is no wireless charging. 3. ) Samsung includes so much bloatware and some of its own things like the Galaxy Store that just wants to copy the Google Play store. Some of it you can remove, and some you can’t.

I’d have less of a problem with them doing this if it produced something more like Material You as featured on the Pixel phone, but instead these things just come off looking like a cheap imitation of all things Google.

Which again brings me back to nothing standing out about this phone. Samsung doesn’t seem to get that people don’t want to flock to their other services and products, because they are just as tepid as this phone.

That being said, it comes with a lot of other great specs and features such as ip67 dust and water resistance, Gorilla Glass 5, and decent cameras. Overall, I’d recommend it as a buy. but read all the detailed specs first to make sure this is the phone for you.

It can take a rather long time to get into all its settings and adjust them to make the phone more to your liking. I’m also hoping when Android 13 and Samsung’s UI 5 update it puts a little more pep in the step of the A53 5g.

So I really got this phone because it was the only phone I could pick up in store the same day. With that being said. Coming from Samsung this phone leaves a lot to be desired. Certain things annoy me like the alarm, you can’t add extra time to the snooze.

So you want to come back in 15min but you have the snooze setting for 5min, you’ll have to hit snooze 3 times. Another annoying thing is the physical switch for ring, vibrate, and silent and then if you accidentally press the power and up volume trying to screenshot it put the phone in vibrate mode then you have to toggle the switch back into ring mode.

Also the quick drop down menu is for only turning on or off the functions, so to change settings you have to actually go the settings apps and choose for instance your wifi network or bluetooth device if you have many.

Battery life is good with the battery saver mode on. The warp charger is fantastic for extremely fast charging. When I use certain apps the bottom of the screen gets jittery like I’m moving it up and down but I’m not doing anything so that also very annoying.

Also would be good to have a secure folder built into the OS instead of having to using another app and the hidden photos feature is usually since it doesn’t require a passcode and other apps still access the photos you hide away.

I do actually love the camera though. The 8K video is phenomenal. Also there is a lack of good protective cases for what would be a flagship phone.

OnePlus has been a journey, an interesting one at that. I owned every OnePlus device since the launch of the OnePlus One. OnePlus was crushing the market from the One to the 7 Pro. Then things took a bit of a turn, not for the best I may add.

Now through the 8’s OnePlus announced the 9 Pro. The 9 Pro at launch was not great. I experienced many issues with overheating, many issues with battery performance. However fast forward to 2022. Trying this device a second time around, OnePlus made significant improvements in Android 11 updates.

Then, they threw all that away with Android 12. “Merging” (really overlaying) ColorOS with OxygenOS. Completely killed the experience 100%. The UI is lackluster, there’s odd bloat, UI oddities like the “shelf” that simply just gets in the way of the dropdown menu.

All items that seem to be after thoughts or maybe Oppo who now really manages and leads OnePlus didn’t think at all. Just wanted to cut costs by cutting developers focused on Oxygen to focus only on ColorOS so both OnePlus and Oppo companies can minimize overhead within their software.

Not a good move. Not one the community backs, well what’s left of the community. For the same reasons, I’m out as well. Check out my review of the 10 pro also, which for many reasons scored lower than that of the 9 Pro.

I’ve been using Android phones for a solid 10+ years and 2 weeks ago upgraded my Moto Z4 to the 9 Pro, what an amazing device. The first thing that hit me with the 9 pro was how smooth the processor was and how switching between apps was smooth as butter.

This is something you really need to use the device to appreciate. Things like the keyboard popping up are faster and the face ID unlocks significantly faster than my old phone. The One Plus UI is very good.

I would say it’s very close to stock Android with a few enhancements sprinkled in that I think are good. For instance when you hit the search button on the app menu it immediately shows some frequently used apps.

When you slide down on an empty area of the home screen it shows your step count, the weather, a toolbox and recently used apps. I find myself going to this screen frequently and it’s great how they integrated it to the UI.

The Oneplus OS also does a good job with media controls when connected to something like a chromecast. My old Android phone would have the controls disappear just as you where about to use them, this device does a better job of controlling my chromecast.

I purchased the Z Flip 3 in December of 2021 and it has been my daily driver ever since. I switched to the Z Flip from an iPhone, and while I lost a few features I gained a lot more. I love the amount of customizablity this device offers, from the app icons to the quick panel there’s almost nothing you can’t change to your liking.

This phone has a lot more features than just customizability though, the cover screen does more than just show you recent notifications. You can control your music, take photos, and even open apps all without flipping open your device.

Speaking of taking photos, this phone has AMAZING camera quality and features that make taking photos a breeze, like the fact that you can fold the phone halfway open to use it as a tripod and even use the over screen as a viewfinder, and the phone can tell when you hold out your hand and start a countdown to take the photo.

While this device has many amazing features and qualities, I have had a few problems. The crease in the middle of my device where the screen folds is starting to develop separate scratches, all in a straight line near each other along the crease, this was caused from long term wear from normal usage but it doesn’t bother me much and I believeit’scovered by warranty.

The main issue I’ve had with this phone is battery life, I find myself having to plug it in at least 3 times a day. This isn’t that big of an issue for me personally but I know others may have a problem with it.

The device supports fast charging up to 15 W and charges from 0-100 in about 2 hours when using this method. The battery capacity is only 3300 MAH, and as a power user I find the battery only lasts me around 10 hours on a full charge.

These are the only real problems I’ve had with this device, but I still highly recommend it regardless!!.

I went from the iPhone 12 Pro Max to the Z Flip 3, and aside from everyone else in the family being on iPhones and losing that connection, I don’t miss the Apple eco system, and them owning everything.

My biggest positive for the phone is the folded footprint. It is no longer the device that puts my leg to sleep from obstructing my thigh to hip nerves. Another big win is the OS and being able to access my files from the phone, or my PC.

The contact manager is now on par with that of Apple. Brave, DuckDuckGo, and Tor run flawlessly on Android, unlike Apple. My issues after now 5 months of use are the fold in the screen is much more noticable, you can’t reduce the image sizes anywhere on the phone (camera or otherwise), I’m having to restart it about every three weeks at this point, as it loses wifi connection, and the antenna is much weaker than that of my wife’s iPhone 12 Pro Max.

After now being in my pocket for 5 months the hinge grinds and sounds like an old man’s knees when bending or standing. Unless there are a number of forward thinking changes to the next version I’ll be forced back onto a fixed platform size (which sucks).

The fold wrinkle has to go. Several foldables are currently addressing the crease, and at least one (Chinese) has a phone coming out Q2 of this year. Apple is always one generation behind on all tech, they no longer innovate, and by the time they release a foldable anything, it will be four years after the initial Galaxy Foldable.

Samsung has now fallen to number 2 when it comes to innovation. Oppo, One Plus, Xiaomi, Hauwai, ZTE and TCL are now the bleeding edge. Oppo Find N and Hauwei Mate X 2 are being release with no crease, much better cameras and user controls.

I bought a note 9 512gb 3 years ago but unfortunately due to my case from Amazon not being able to keep it safe like advertised it began to get alot of cracks and curved screens aren’t cheap to replace.

I was forced to upgrade and this phone looked like a good direct replacement. So far it has been. It came with a usbc to usbc adapter to transfer all that 512gb of internal storage from one phone to another.

It was pretty cool to see that it also was able to charge my note 9 battery when it started getting lower during the transfer. One thing I was worried about was not having an aux port. It came with usbc headphones so that solved that issue temporarily but it looks like I may have to update many of my older audio devices to Bluetooth or usbc.

This phone seems to be much much quicker than my note 9, the camera in general has some better features and works a bit better including the crazy zoom which comes in handy. But I think most importantly it’s got the note pen.

As an artist I frequently have ideas at the most inconvenient times. One thing I always have is my phone. So being able to pull out a pen and paper any time anywhere and sketch an idea without having to look for a pen and paper so that I don’t forget is the reason I refuse to get any other phone.

I hope theycontinue on with the series in the future otherwise I’ll be using this one for a long long time. But I would be OK with that. Also do yourself a favor and get a mous case if you need something rugged.

Their screen protectors are also amazing although they’re a little pricey. This case is already much more convenient and feels better made than otterbox cases as of late.

Where do I even start? I’ve had broken phones out perform the Note 20 Ultra. I guess lets start with the connection, It can never connect to your data or wifi and when it does it will for 2 seconds before it drops it again.

The screen is way way too fragile on the curves and it can get the tiniest hair line crack that renders the whole screen useless because the entire screen will basically shut down. The battery really isn’t great unless you never ever lose the charger it comes with.

Finally at least for big issues the pen gets worn out really quick if you use it a lot and then starts to not feel right when you have to drag it across the screen and the phone start up is pretty slow and laggy, also the finger print sensor hasnt worked once since ive had it.

It’s a shame because the phone looks nice and runs fast when it finally gets past turning it on, but these issues take away from all its good, especially the connection issue. When I simply want to Google something in a spot I’ve always had connection and now can’t because I have to wait 30 mins because my phone is searching for a connection it shouldn’t have to its very inconvenient, especially at work.

I pay a lot for my phone plan so should be able to use it like normal people. I’ve already almost spent more fixing this phone than the phone itself at this point. Like I said it’s a shame because it’s a pricey phone and can run very good when it’s not bugging out but that’s only 20% of the time it actually runs smooth.

I HIGHLY RECCOMEND YOU TAKE THE TIME AND RESOURCES TO PROTECT THE PHYSICAL COMPONENTS OF THIS DEVICE If you are not prepared to spend good money on a quality case and also pay extra for a coverage of any physical damages and replacement of this device if damages do occur then even all these amazing features are not worth the 1000 + you will spend on this device.

A serious downfall in the design of this device is the curved edges of the screen can cause even the tiniest of cracks or chips to render the entire screen to become in operable. The parts for this phone are high in price so even replacement of parts will cost the same as just getting a insurance policy and paying a deductable of a damage claim.

Unfortunately the Galaxy note 20 ultra is ULTRA FRAGILEI!! due to a cosmetic design of the phone to make it appear sleek the back side as well is made of the same weak and feeble glass as the screen and can also spider web and shatter just as easily.

Therefore I recommend a sturdy screen protector as well and a case that offers more than standard shock absorbance if dropped. Sadly due to the current size of the camera technology the lenses could not be recessed in the casing of the phone either but are rather Located on the front of the phone and extend out farther than the back of the phone as well which runs the risk of damage to your lenses and the housing of camera lenses unless you also make sure your case offers protection against this as well or you get camera lenses protection and bumper guards to keep the housing safe.

But given these downfalls of design the note 20 ultra makes up in every other way and is totally worth it as long as you ensure safety awareness for the fragility of it’s design As an example I have had 3 replacements due to Various protection devices not being safe enough to protect my device and all involved soft falls from ankle height off the ground and improper installation of a case purchased and installed by my carriers staffing.

It’s been a year since I was given this phone as a birthday present & I still love it. I was given the option to choose between an iPhone 11 pro max last year in August, or I could get a Note 20 Ultra in bronze.

I went with the Note20U without a single hesitation. Ever since I was 13 or 14, I remember researching ever product I wanted before buying to make sure there was never any surprises on what I can and can’t do.

Therefore, I have know for a long time that samsung smart phones and more specifically, flagships, are way better than their competitors. I had a note 8 for two years prior to this N20U and as a college student, the S-Pen was a MUST have for quick notes and reminders.

The 20 Ultra was the perfect upgrade, it was similar to my old note 8 but just more powerful with a better battery life, way less bezels that made the screen look impeccable, 128 gb upgrade from a 64gb note 8 with expandable storage made it easy for me to transfer my sd card phones and music, amazing cameras with ultra zooming features and not 8 but 12 gbs of ram for smooth gameplay during my free time at home or in between classes.

It’s a great phone because as a student the battery life lasts me all day and I don’t have to worry about buying a portable charger or my usb c around and risk losing it. I remember the looks on other student’s faces whenever class would be over and the professors would say, “wait, i forgot to mention to study this page” or “wait, there’s more homework” or “I forgot to mention the extra credit” & everyone rushed back to take their backpacks off to find a page and pen or a post it while I stayed in place and wrote down the last minute information on my phone with the s-pen & leaving before anyone else.

Also during my 1 hour in between classes break I would go to the library and watch an episode of a show or watch a tutorial for a certain school subject while using the multi window feature. This phone is perfect for anyone and for every heavy users.

Samsung Galaxy Note is one of the best smartphone lines since it was started in 2011. Although Samsung pushes Galaxy S lineup more for general smartphone users, there is no doubt that Galaxy Note has more pros than S lineup phones in terms of its usage and flexibility.

In late 2021 now, Galaxy Note 20 is still the best smartphone comes together with its own pen writing option. S21 Ultra, you need to buy separate pen and it bulks up its size to contain the pen together and pen functionality and sensitivity are not even on par of Note lineup.

I understand Samsung is more focus on folderable phones right now and Note fandom is not as big as they expect. As market shifts, Samsung need to develop different profit model to compete with Cheap Chinese phones and premium iPhones.

As a result, no more new Note lineup released so far and Note 20 Ultra is the only premium Note phone in the market now. Yes. It released in Aug, 2020. In smartphone standard, it is already pretty outdated and old.

Some may say it is not as strong as recent released phones. However, spec competition is not that meaningful in these days. It is already upward leveled in premium smartphone market. 2-3 years old smartphones are still good enough to use in daily life with no problem.

It is more of the matter whether your phone manufacturer provide firmware update to optimize the phone to use latest apps. In this standard, Note 20 Ultra is still very solid phone to use and only phone that provides best pen writing in compact size.

It is also the last Samsung’s premium Android phone providing SD card slot to expand phone storage. Samsung works with multiple cloud system but to be honest all of them are not as strong as iCloud. This is the only phone you can use compact best pen option with expandable storage in 2021.

Perfect phone for someone with medium to small hands who does not want to go on compromise when it comes to processor or camera. This is an all-in-one enclosed in a handy size and made of very good material quality/details oriented.

You get that ‘premium-feel’ with it. It feels heavy for its size and is sturdy – metal frame helps that feeling. The big camera lenses are very ‘eye-catching’. They stick out a bit physically yet it does not disturb in use.

Gimbal is working very well – the videos are stable even when you shoot in motion. Compared to my daughters’ Samsung A53, the videos look more professional as they are stable. I think this feature could be very useful for a next generation of rising tiktok stars (facepalm).

If you think that small is beautiful (actually it is not that small, it is ‘normal’ just before everyone got crazy with the screens) and you don’t have a need to impress others on the size part, this is the phone for you.

En rask og god lader fulgte også med. Hvorfor betale det dobbelte for en topp utgave av samsung når du får dette beiste fra Asus til en hyggelig pris?? Anbefaler sterkt Asus ZenFone 9.

I’ve been a huge fan of Samsung since the I phone 5, after nothing but problems with that apple product I switched to Samsung and never looked back. Since then I’ve had about 6 or 8 different models the S9+ the S10 a handful of cheaper phones etc.

Then I bought 2 s21 ultras for myself and my wife, we don’t like payments so we bought the phones out right. $1,300 each X 2=2600 plus tax, but I figured like my last phone it would last a few years and no big deal.

Now I am a mechanic and hard on stuff but my wife is a stay at home mom and rarely has a problem with breaking a screen or anything but nevertheless we had otter box phone cases and glass screen protectors before the phones even showed up.

Since then, we have both had the screens get cracked, then one more drop takes out the digitizer (the electronic circuit board under the screen that cost about 400 dollars alone for the part plus 150 labor for the place to replace it).

After getting my wife’s phone repaired first she literally dropped it on the carpet in our house and that cracked the screen again even with protective case and screen protector. Within a couple days of this minor crack the screen is glitching again and turning all green which means another digitizer.

Once that happened I put my newly replaced phone in a drawer and have been using a 300 dollar Motorola that I bought while waiting for the repairs to be done. Once her phone is repaired we are listing both on eBay and taking a significant loss I am sure.

So 2600 for the phones 550 each for repair then another 550 I’m sure to fix my wife’s again. So $4,250 in phones and repairs in just 4 or 5 months, their reliability, quality, and durability is garbage.

I love the S21Ultra’s amazing resolution & incredible camera. That’s a pretty short list compared to what I dislike:1. Design- To power off the S21Ultra its user must press the Bixby button & the volume down button simultaneously.

Since all the buttons are located really close together on one side of the phone, this is awkward & frequently requires 2 hands for success. 2. The Bixby/”screen off” button is located below the volume buttons.

These 3 buttons are almost the same size. So even after months of using the S21Ultra I still constantly hit the wrong button as all my other Samsung devices are designed with the opposite button configuration or with volume buttons on the opposite side of the power button.

3. Weight- The phone is too heavy. The long screen plus its weight make it awkward to hold & uncomfortable to use for long periods. 4. Bixby- This should come as an option or the ability to be disabled.

I don’t know anyone that likes or uses Bixby. 5. Internet performance- This phone is slower & has more issues than my S5 or my TabE! It has severe lag when loading sites or navigating within a site & freezes regularly.

6. Discord- The S21Ultra does not work well with the Discord app. It is frequently unable to display content. It is extremely slow to load Discord & often freezes once it has. Upon researching this issue I found an article that blames Discord for the issues.

It states that Discord is “not stable when using 5G”. All I can say is that my friends who have the standard S21s are using 5G & have zero issues with using the Discord App. 7. Charge- the “super fast charging” is great because the phone doesn’t hold a charge very long when in use.

The charging cord is too short & the port is on the front instead of the side so the charger pulls out of the socket so easily that it unplugs itself regularly if you move the phone while it’s charging.

8. Constant updates- Despite constant updates & bug fixes the S21Ultra still has all the issues that customers are repeatedly complaining about. 9. Price tag- The S21Ultra is completely overpriced considering all its issues.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PHONE. I have been a loyal Samsung customer & I am incredibly disappointed that Samsung released a product with so many issues.

Expensive disappointment. I came to the S21 Ultra from the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, and would easily dub the Note 8 the superior phone. Here is a sample of the lowlights, as it were. – Frequent crashes when using basic features like magnifier.

– Window in window mode of magnifier which frequently relocates itself over the keyboard. – Samsung Call Filter. No longer available- Screen Thumbprint reader works maybe half the time even after having to register the same fingerprint multiple times in every conceivable position.

– Facial recognition also super touchy when compared to old iris scanner. – TalkBack shortcut doesn’t work at all. – Loosing the power button for the Bixby, the most useless of digital assistants, especially since you have the vastly superior Google assistant, which doesn’t need its own damn button.

All in all, aside from the 5G capability it is a downgrade from earlier iterations, and I would not recommend. Find a vastly less expensive note 8 or 9 and pray Samsung decides to once again make phones worth buying.

I definitely will be more seriously looking to competitors for my next phone.

My last few iPhones have lasted me a long time, I bought a 13 after almost 4 years with my XR (iPhone 10). With a good amount of time between purchases I normally see a big difference/improvement in many areas upon getting a new iphone.

Not this time. Camera is supposed to be much higher quality – I can’t get it to focus without having to manually switch a setting and even then the XR photos would focus better and show more detail in the photo.

It sounds much worse than the XR did – on a call the sound quality is noticeably poorer than my XR. The style of the phone is reminiscent of an iPhone 4, boxy and small, fit is not as comfortable in my hand width wise as the XR (normal size XR) was.

I’m seeing no noticeable difference in operating speed and battery life which are supposed to be improved, does not appear to be any different for me over the XR. In all I wish I had taken my XR to a repair shop to confirm it was not able to be fixed instead of shelling out almost $900 for a new iPhone that in my opinion is a down grade from the XR three models prior! Note that NOT included in the box is the plug required to charge this phone, and no headphones.

The lightening cord from a newer previous iPhone will work if your going from iPhone to iPhone but if you are new to an apple phone I guess Apple expects you to spend $900 for a phone and not even provide you with what you need to charge it! I’ve never been disappointed with an iPhone purchase before (iPhone4, iPhone5, iPhone6, iPhoneXR) but I am now.

Apple drastically lowered the bar on the standards of an apple product with the iPhone 13 (and it appears on the iPhone 12 as well from the reviews I’m reading on them). I wish I hadn’t been in a pinch causing me to make this purchase without researching first, mistake on my part.

This is my first iphone since the iphone 4. Im coming to the 13 after owning a Samsung s10+ for about 3 years. My first impressions on the 13 are the camera and screen quality is much worse than on the Samsung.

Apps randomly open on this phone and sometimes close on their own. I thought that switching to IOS would make my application experience better because its a proprietary software that all developers could easily work on, however, I’ve soon come to realize that is not the case.

Apps (like snapchat, instagram, google chrome, youtube) all worked better on an android phone. The iPhone just crashes or loses data too often. I thought that the iPhones had picture in picture mode but apparently they don’t allow any apps to use that feature so its useless.

The front camera quality is obviously 720p no matter what they say on the website. It looks like my mom’s iPhone 5. The rear cameras are not great either. The battery will NOT last you a full day. Other reviews and people will tell you it lasts at least a day; it doesn’t.

This phone also doesn’t have enough ram to be productive because the user has to continuously re-login to every website/app even if its suspended and not closed. I thought the A15 chip would be able to work some magic but it doesn’t.

Most calls and texts do not go through so i have to remind myself to texts or call someone once I’ve left my location. Compared to the android, this problem didn’t exist. Coming from an android made in 2019, i was surprised how much worse the newest iPhone is.

I would have saved $900 and had a better experience if i didn’t get this phone. I got it just for FaceTime and blue texts. Don’t make that mistake because nobody actually cares after you switch.

I’m giving a three star review because the phone is still usable. I purchased the iPhone 13 Pro Max. I really wanted to say this is a straight up five star review but it’s sadly not. In terms of build quality, they can have a billion stars.

I think the build quality and the physical hardware is great and lives up to the expectation. in terms of software, this feels like five steps backwards. When this phone came out with iOS 15 out the gate, I’m telling you right now, I got a solid three days of battery life on Heavy usage – in between charges, which I’ve never gotten out of anything I’ve ever tried.

The software interface itself was super smooth and almost heavenly. The buttery smooth 120 Hz refresh rate is probably one of my favorite specs about this other than battery life. Honestly, I massively regret forgetting to turn off automatic updates.

Every update since iOS 15, my phone is a glitchy mess. Siri doesn’t like responding most of the time, phone calls drop or no one can hear me and I can’t hear them, Bluetooth doesn’t like acknowledging any of my previously paired devices (i came from iPhone 11), even after removing them entirely and repairing them all over again.

Screen share, airplay etc and whatever else doesn’t like to cooperate often. This phone just doesn’t feel like a smart phone anymore, after these last couple of software updates. And I’m really mad that I don’t get 3 days on a charge anymore.

I get maybe 2 full days. I really hope that future updates fix this and bring back the glorious feeling the very first version of iOS 15 gave.

Prior to the iPhone 13, I had the Product(RED) iPhone SE (2020) which I loved, I chose to upgrade as a birthday gift to myself, there was nothing wrong with my Product (RED) iPhone SE (2020) [which if you were considering a more lucrative upgrade, I highly recommend].

The iPhone 13 despite not being the Pro or ProMAX has everything I want and more. The camera quality is impecable for it’s time, and as an Online University student I really appreciate recording my videos with this camera and the cinematic feature.

Also the biggest difference(s) I’ve noticed are battery life, 5G and Storage space, that of which my iPhone SE did NOT have. 5G is truly a game changer, in regards to quality streaming and network. 128G storage vs 64G storage also helps with how quickly my iPhone processes data.

Lastly battery life, it’s not something I even think about anymore, and I know just like the rest this will become more noticeable with time. Separately I would like to encourage purchasing Product(RED) since you’re already considering purchasing an iPhone.

I really wanted to like this phone but I can’t, I just can’t. The build quality and look of this phone is just so good, but thats all there is to it. This is my second iphone since the iPhone 7 plus which I loved and had for years, first major problem is no charger in the box, fu** you apple! Environment my a** you are just trying to cut corners and save money by selling us a $1,000 plus phone and no charger or headphones in the box? Like who in this world unbox their phone and throws the charger away? Nobody, and what’s really sick about this is that they tell you oh well you have a charger at home, but the cable that’s in the box does not fit my old charger so in order to get the proper charging speed, you have to buy another charger! I mean how are people okay with this? How does this not insult you, by spending you’re hard earned $1000 and now you have to spend another $30-50 to get a charger to fit the dumb cable if you want the proper charging speed for this phone, plus another $40 on wired headphones that are also not included.

That’s like if you buy a house and lets say its $400,000, once you are inside there is no central air conditioning or heating, does not matter how much money you have, now you have to jump through all the hoops and spend $8,000 to get a unit installed and thats just unacceptable.

Second major issue is the lighting cable, now I had my iPhone 7 plus for a while then moved to android for about 2 years and decided to try the iphone again since they finally added 120hz display, but I had no idea this thing still had a lighting cable before I unboxed it.

Yo apple what’s with you and the lighting cable? The lighting cable in a nutshell killed this experience entirely for me because everything in my house is usb type c, even my cheap gadgets are usb type c, now I need a bunch of adapters, and did i mention that data transfer on the lighting cable is so slow its about as painful to watch as an old man with a hemorrhoid sit on a cactus?? And now I need to take 2 separate cords like bro just stop apple, let the lighting cable go already.

But yea that right there killed it for me, I can’t have this phone simply because of the lighting cable, it is just a huge inconvenience for me. But if the lighting cable does not bother you for some odd reason, here are a couple more problems.

Third major issue is overheating issue, boy o boy does this phone have alot of horsepower under the hood, but as soon as you even think about pushing the horsepower, this baby gets HOOOOOOOT especially if you use navigation then forget about it.

This thing gets so hot it lags and then dims the screen so much to the point where you can’t see the display, even with simple task the screen just keeps diming and its hugely annoying, obviously there is no proper cooling for all of this horsepower in this phone so it’s pretty much a gimic at this point, I mean if you are a person who just calls, then you will have no overheating issues, but if you use navigation alot, STAY FAR FAAAAAAAAR AWAY FROM THIS PHONE.

Fourth problem is no always on display so you have to keep tapping the screen to see your time and notifications, im not even gonna get into this, $1000 and no always on display? Thats a major L. Fifth major problem is I can’t see my battery percentage on the top right corner like I could with my 7 plus or android phone, so I have to swipe the screen down to see it, why apple? And the last problem is no fingerprint sensor, now I don’t understand why they force you to have one or the other, why not both face unlock and fingerprint sensor? Ever heard of options apple? Anyways I can talk about this phone forever and I really did want to like this phone but I’m gonna have to stick with android until they at least add usb type c for God sake.

Stay away from this phone.

I personally didn’t really think this phone was going to be worth it, I had my previous 11 pro for about 2 1/2 years and still thought it was a solid phone however the past couple weeks I started having issues with my 11 pro lagging so I decided it was time to upgrade.

I have only been using this phone for a few hours and can already tell a MAJOR difference between 13 pro and 11 pro. The smaller notch is definitely nice, the bezels around the phone are slightly smaller, it’s ever so slightly bigger than the 11 pro but not major, closer to the size of the regular 11 which combined with the smaller bezels definitely give it a bigger screen.

The colors on the screen are incredibly bright that’s one of the first things i noticed when I got it. I personally don’t see a huge difference with the faster refresh rate but it is nice to have. I wouldn’t upgrade just for that reason.

The speakers are significantly louder, the power button is ever so slightly lower so it’s easier to press, 5G is SUPER FAST that’s one of the biggest improvements I’ve noticed internet speed over data is much faster than my 11 pro.

And the cameras god I could write a whole paragraph about them but the biggest improvement I notice is the zoom. You can zoom much further & much clearer than the 11 pro. I picked up a MagSafe charger & a MagSafe compatible otter box and I already like that new feature a lot.

I’m sure I am forgetting some things. I’ve only had this phone 3 hours and already can tell SOOO MUCH IMPROVEMENT. I can’t speak for the iPhone 12 users I’ve never had a 12 but if you have an 11 or below definitely consider this iPhone! Also the sierra blue color is beautiful I had the midnight green 11 pro which I liked but the blue color is much nicer! Probably the only complaint I can think of is it doesn’t have usbc I really wish Apple would make the switch to usb c.

It also does not come with a charger block in the box so if you don’t have a 12 or 20w usbc block You will probably want one of those too especially if you’re planning on using MagSafe.

I upgraded to this from an 11 pro max and read many reviews before deciding on this or another max pro. I decided to just go for the pro size because of how much heavier the 13 pro Max is compared to the 11 & I don’t really notice that big a difference in screen size.

It is thicker than my previous phone & is very reminiscent of the 5s in looks, which almost seems like the company are going backwards. I have also moved from 256gb to the 512gb as I like to download a lot of music.

The colour is a lovely dark grey. I was going to go for the sierra blue but it was never in stock, but on reflection I prefer this as it goes with any colour phone case. It was easy to set up as you just sit your previous phone beside it, if it is an iPhone and it guides you through & transfers all the things from your previous phone.

I find it easy to use and can see the difference in screen from my 11 pro, it seems brighter & crisper. It is also much quicker when using the internet & apps. Be aware the cost is the same, but you no longer get a charger plug, in the box it is just the phone, the simm tool and a usb-c lightening cable.

I have purchased MagSafe chargers which are really clever and use a clear Apple case with MagSafe, which means I don’t have to remove case to charge phone. I also had to purchase plugs for these as they didn’t come with them, so if you are buying and want to use MagSafe for charging, bear in mind the extra costs involved in buying all these extra things if you don’t have them.

The camera lenses really stick out, much more than my 11 did, but the quality of the photos and videos is incredible. I took a video last night and then air played it onto our tv and was so impressed with the clarify.

The zoom seems much better than the 11 on taking photos. I have used iPhones since the original for home and have to use android at work, so can compare. Honestly, I tend to avoid my android work phone at all costs as for me I find it much more complex to use than an iPhone.

Obviously iPhones are never cheap and I buy outright, as don’t want to be locked into a phone contract. But with very you do get the good options of buy now pay later etc, so it means I can buy then save each month to pay it off in full when it is due.
