20 Best Cedarwood Essential Oil (2022 Updated)

My love of lavender: I am obsessed with lavender to the point where I have went to all lavender stores thats right everything you can thinking of lavender soaps, tea, lotion, lip bomb, pillows, scones, ice creams and of course herbal essence.

Fun fact- Different Herbal essences smelll different because they’re different types of lavender! Why I like this lavender: It is a large amount usually they come in much small containers. This solution is thick and is not runny like low quality ones Ive used.

It comes with a syringe so you can easily mix it in lotions or soaps or diffusers! It actually has a scent unlike some other ones Ive had. The best part it their its all cruelty free!! No animal testing.

I used to absolutely hate tea tree oil because of the scent but I will say that it has definitely grown on me and I actually even kind of enjoy the smell of it now. I use tea tree oil (along with a few other essential oils) mixed with water as a bug repellent in the spring and summer and it works really well when sprayed on windowsills, inside and outside of doors and windows etc **HOWEVER**.

my main use and my favorite use for this oil is using it to steam my face. I boil a large pot of water on the stove and then I add about 10 drops of tea tree oil along with a few others (lavender, peppermint eucalyptus, rose and sometimes a tiny bit of frankincense), then I bring it to my bathroom, set it on the floor, sit on the floor and drape a towel over my head and around the pot and breathe deeply and slowly, kind of like a meditation for at least 5 mins but I try and aim for 10.

OH EM GEE let me tell y’all, on nights when I do this (after cleansing, exfoliating and toning but before everything else in my skincare routine I cannot stop touching my face. Even the whole next day my face feels like silk.

Not only that but it also makes it look amazing and feel so incredibly fresh and clean. I try to do this once a week but if I had the time and the patience I would do it every single night. It’s just so good for the skin and the steam opens the pores making it super easy for the skin to truly absorb the serums, treatments and moisturizers I use afterwards.

If I sat here and listed everything well, I might as well write a book instead. Aura Cacia is a brand I have used for decades and I trust them very much. Aura Cacia is organic, they do not test on animals and they use zero synthetic fragrances.

I absolutely adore this oil from Plant Therapy. Their source produces *top* quality oil and the difference is there from the time you break that seal in the cap, inhale it lightly all the way to the time you apply it (keeping in mind that carrier oils should be used with it for many reasons) to your skin.

The anti-inflammatory properties of this have been tested and proven to be beneficial and I have found Plant Therapy’s to be exceptional! I even have a different company’s far more expensive 30ml bottle and both the scent and the effectiveness are noticeably superior! Part of the joy of aromatherapy and holistic uses of essential oils and extracts is the journey of the individual; the trial and error and experiences we have along the way.

Not every batch is going to be the same, keep this in mind. If they were the same I would be alarmed because there isn’t a lot of homogeny in nature, so anything other than that would be adulterated.

I trust this company’s claims for one simple reason and I’ll tell you why… they are the only company to admit they use some natural isolates in a few of their revolving oil blends. Keep in mind this isn’t a bad thing at all!!! However, I think it speaks volumes that they actually admit to using them in several blends (which are labeled very differently than their essential oil blends are).

I can smell some other brands using isolates in some of their blends as well, but I doubt they will ever admit to it because they have yet to admit to it so far. Having said that, keep your journey clean and positive! These oils can be great for many things, even if sometimes it’s more of a placebo effect or psychosomatic, that’s OK! If it works for you, it works for you! But keep in mind that it won’t always work the same for you as it does for every fellow reviewer.

There are few varieties of Frankincense that PT sells. They are all amazing! Truly. But this one; the Carterii variety, to me, is the one tried and true classic frankincense scent. This scent is ubiquitous with what I know to be that earthy, musky, resinous scent that promotes such blissful calm and relaxation.

Whether it’s simply smelling the bottle or diffused or used on my body in some way, this Frankincense oil stands the test of time as a must have in any essential oil collection. I use it all the time for a variety of things.

It’s a great base oil and blends so well with a large variety of scents making it highly versatile. I would recommend trying all of the Frankincense oils that PT has, but this one, for my money, has that classic scent that we all know and love.

After back surgery I found myself in so much pain not sleeping and barely making it to my next dose of pain meds. My provider suggested this to me. It changed everything. I was able to sleep after using so I could heal.

I no longer needed my narcotic pain meds as often as this would calm my muscle spasms a d relax my muscles better then my prescribed muscle relaxers. I have continued to use it on myself and my son when ever he is soar from football or has an injury.

After he broke his ankle we would use this to help calm him and get restful sleep. I just wish it came in a bigger bottle.

As a Licensed Massage Therapist, Wyndmere was a highly suggested Essential Oil for our practice during my training. I practiced for 12 years and a trusted part of my client’s protocol. This scent will carry you away into a lovely Florist’s shop where the pleasing scents of flowers greet you. Geranium is uplifting and soothing. This scent is a treat. I put a few drops into Wyndmere’s nebulizing humidifier along with Lavender, Neroli, Yang Lang, Jasmine and Bergamot.

The scent is nice and authentic. The stars are NOT for the scent and the quality, but because I most likely received a half empty bottle. I’ve used this oil maybe 5 times max and it’s now completely empty compared to my other ones which last much longer.

I use about 10 drops even though it suggests 20. It’s hard to tell how much is in the bottle because it’s matte black and I guess I didn’t check (up against a bright light) when it arrived if it was missing half the liquid because, you know, I expected to receive an unused product.

I get that I bought this during the summer sale but I can assure you that I still wouldn’t have bought it half off if I knew the bottle was half gone :/.

Yes, this smells medicinal like Halls cough drops, but that’s what eucalyptus is supposed to smell like! I’m reviewing this item primarily to correct the stock description, which states that this essential oil is made with eucalyptus from France.

The packaging and bottle of eucalyptus oil that I received today both state that the oil’s origin is China. I’m not sure if this is an error on Nordstrom’s part or if Vitruvi changed suppliers and the website wasn’t updated.

I’ll keep it anyway because I’ve been experimenting with the essential oil tray in our humidifier and had good results with Vitruvi’s lavender oil. Eucalyptus will also come in handy for hot showers or baths to ease congestion.

vitruvi’s ylang ylang is lovely—probably the best I’ve ever smelled. But it IS potent. When I use it in a blend in my diffuser (example: lavender, ylang ylang, frankincense, cedarwood before bed), I find even just a couple drops can overpower the blend, so I need to be careful.

That being said, the quality is exceptional. It’s pure, delightful, and smells like a bouquet of fresh flowers. It’s incredible to achieve and experience that kind of abundance and true to life-ness in an EO.

This is a standout in my collection, I just need to be mindful and intentional with how I use it. I’m still experimenting, but I think I prefer using it in bath & beauty products and rituals rather than diffusing.

I also find it rather feminine and a little too much for my husband, so if diffusing, I use it when I want to carve out time and space for myself, which also lends it a kind of mysterious and magical quality—not unlike a secret garden.

If you love ylang ylang and strong florals, you will love this abundant EO.

I decided to get this oil because I wanted something to add to the dryer balls that would not pose a harm to my cats. According to online sources, this oil is not only safe for cats, but can repel adult fleas as well.

I now use it on the dryer balls provided by RMO and enjoy the results. I add a few more drops a little more frequently than suggested by the instructions that come with the dryer balls, but the effect is wonderful.

There is a very subtle scent of the cedar wood on all of my clothes and sheets, but not to the point of being overwhelming. As to its impact on fleas, I did not have a problem prior to, so cannot attest to that; however, I do have problem with mites eating at my clothes.

While it is too early to say its influence on that nuisance, my hope is that it will alleviate that issue in the near future.

It smells clean and Woody and beautiful!! I use cedarwood lavender and rose, a little Dr Bronners rose Castile soap and some almond olive or coconut oil in a bath every day to soothe my body and soul.

Also, I rub cedarwood all over my forehead temples and behind my ears and on my wrists multiple times a day to make me feel beautiful and calm. One day I had to do this and just happened to have a headache, five min later headache was gone!? Thought I was crazy so did my daughter and partner.

Next day headache again so I tried it, headache disappeared. My daughter got a headache that weekend, she tried it, headache gone within 5-10 min. She told me she was sorry for thinking I was crazy! I have yet to try this on my stubborn partner, but next time he has a headache I will wrestle him to try it 🙂 so I can prove him wrong!.

We were recommended cedarwood because we had a terrible problem with pantry moths. We could not get rid of them. We had to throw away all of our food. We cleaned every shelve nook and cranny. We cleaned non stop our kitchen but NOTHING was getting rid of these pantry moths.

We were told about this product and we thought why not we have tried everything else. IT WORKED!!! I now do diffuse it every couple of days just in case there are any more nests or lingering ones we just have not seen.

So far so good. Love it. Highly recommend if you have this problem. Plus it smells good too.

I think this cedar oil is somewhat on the pricey side for a 8oz can, but it is good for restoring existing cedar chests, closets and smaller cedar wood items for indoor use. The aroma is strong at first until the oil absorbs into the wood.

Mix a tiny amount of cedar oil with some Sage and water. 1 or 2 teaspoons of mixture goes in with every flush.

I brought all these oil they smell nice and I mixed them with olive oil. Perfect blend and nice on sin for massage. Love them.

I bought this because I love smelling expensive furniture that I can’t afford at the store (haha). It blends with all of my favorite oils, giving whatever combination I make a perfect lingering hint of.

well, wood. It smells EXACTLY like opening the drawer on a new piece of cedar furniture. Now I can be a weirdo cedar-sniffer at home instead of in public. But for real, it’s one of my absolute favorites and I’ll always spring for the big bottle.

I bought this oil,along with several other essential oils, to make oil blends to apply to my beard to keep it ,and my skin , soft and supple. I have not been disappointed. I use a mixture of light olive oil and the Cedarwood oil and am very pleased with the results.

This oil does not have an overpowering smell like some of the other Cedarwood oils that I have used in the past. I plan to purchase more of the essential oils from PP in the very near future. I am very pleased with all the oils that I have purchased from PP and will recommend PP to my friends.

According to Dr Josh Axe (& other sources), Frankincense has been successfully used for different types of cancer, (including breast cancer). Trying it daily – hoping for positive results. It does have a nice aroma, and it actually helps with tenderness, swelling and soreness.

Happy to find such a good value, thrilled that it is organic and especially glad that it is a natural alternative to chemo and radiation.

I bought this to refresh old cedar blocks. I opened the bottle and smelled nothing. I soaked my old cedar blocks with the oil and no smell at all! There is NO smell of cedar. A very, very minor scent of something, but not cedar.

The very, very minor scent is noticeably only if you face-plant into the bottle. Super disappointed.

WOW – what a stunning scent. I was disappointed that I could no longer find the Cleanse blend, so I decided to try this on a whim, and I’m so glad I did. It has such a complex combination of aromas, I’d describe it almost like opening a vintage cedar chest stored in a speakeasy somewhere in Morocco.

Woodsy and spicy, oozing with luxury, yet not too masculine, definitely not feminine, and really packs a punch. A standout fragrance I will be reaching for again and again.

Until this month you could call me Vitality’s number one fan. It’s been my only perfume over the last six years, and I always loved this uplifting and unique scent, with so many people commenting on the fragrance.

My secret weapon to both calm and invigorate. Having only used essential oils since 1995, I’m familiar with not only Neal’s Yard products, but many other barks, roots, flowers, herbs and essences. My nose is well trained, so to speak! Sadly, the recent purchase of my usual two bottles came as a total shock.

The formula seems to be now dominated by heavy handed spice top notes – no longer the delicate, well-balanced scent I loved. I opened the second bottle (thinking there might be some manufacturing mistake) but both bottles smell just like cheap clove oil.

Over a few hours the scent mellows, but the wonderful middle and base notes have gone. Utterly heartbroken. Will need to find another magical fragrance for 2020, but doubt anything can ever compare to this divine blend.

Good Vibes has been a favorite of mine since I first received a bottle in my monthly subscription box! It’s earthy and floral and I plan on making a perfume out of it soon! It really does give off good vibes! I love diffusing it in my car, at home, and now at work! I took my flower diffuser to work and put it on my station! It goes beautifully with the salon decor.

There are a lot of chemical smells in a hair salon so it’s nice to have the Good Vibes to keep me centered and just makes my station smell wonderful! I love Simply Earth’s blends! I hope they come out with more!.

This oil makes a great additive to my vape juice. Good taste and strong flavor, from the pure oil, no alcohol!

Just a heads up, this smells sweet and rich up front but that instantly fades into strong/permanent patchouli, a smell I’ve never liked and find generally offensive. I didn’t pick up on any of that in store when I gave it a sniff; but once I put it in my diffuser the scent changed instantly.

No sweetness, no citrus, just plain patchouli. I know others love patchouli, so for people who do, this oil would be great. It’s taken a long time to clean out my diffuser to get rid of the remaining scent in order to start fresh with something else.

Partly my fault, I read the featured ingredients and didn’t think to expand the list to read the rest. Don’t know why patchouli isn’t listed first though, it’s that strong. Love my other Saje products but this is a miss for me.

I have chronic pain all over my body but mainly back, neck and shoulders from an accident I got into 2+ years ago. Everyday I wake up with really bad body aches and pains that have just become a part of my daily life and no medication or ointments really help it.

After buying this and using it on the first night, I was shocked! I woke up feeling physically so good with no severe pains, something I haven’t felt in so so long. Very easy to use with the roller or dropper, feel it working almost immediately, and I’ve got many friends and family to buy it after trying mine out.

Will be repurchasing it!.

I was really hoping to love this diffuser blend, but it misses the mark for me. I was happy to see vanilla in a blend, as my favourite (retired) Saje blend Gratitude had a vanilla primary. This blend, however, is very heavy with the geranium scent — overpoweringly so.

Upon diffusing, a spicy cinnamon smell comes through, more like cinnamon hearts or gingerbread. I can see this blend being nice during the wintertime or over Christmas. Sadly, I’ll be looking to return the blend.

I hope someone appreciates it more than I do!.

My first first time using eucalyptus oil. I bought one of those portable sauna/steamers and did some research and found that eucalyptus oil is an all time additive to steam rooms and can be used in diffusers.

This particular brand gave me a more pleasurable experience in my portable steam room. Would I buy this again? Yes. Providing it stays in stock. The item title had me questioning it. It reads “Huge bottle”.

4 oz is like 1/2 of bottle water. After more research on how to use it. All it takes is no more than 3-5 drops. At the most, 3, depending on the mount of water you are using and this stuff is so powerful alone, I predict this bottle can last for mor than a month or so.

So yes, this is a huge bottle for it’s intended use. If you are contemplating on buying this, I recommend it.

Artizen Frankincense is strong because it is not diluted like some others being sold on ebay for less money. I like the bottle that is tinted yellow to protect the oil inside. I use it for my dog’s gums to sanitize and heal his mouth and it is working.

I use a few drops by mouth for myself for chronic pain and inflammation of joints and it helps. I will continue to order your brand.

I really liked the smell. I wanted to use it with my humidifier since I have sinusitis and most questionable smells trigger sneezing pr blocked noses. It really helped. However in my experience, undiluted essential oils feel like rubbing alcohol when it gets on the skin.

That wasn’t the case with the Artizen which had a more oily feeling.

My sister had a crazy idea of trying almost all essential oils which can be used to give fragrance to every part of her house. It had to be relaxing and nose-friendly. I knew that my sister had her own way.

I just realized that she was not crazy after all. It is true that being a thinker gives chance to make the person seemed weird, but it does not mean that they are not cool, or deviating the trend. I can say this now due to the idea she had when she tried to make the aroma out of Natures Alchemy Pure Essential Oil Cedarwood.

Oh! The scent is soothing. I would want to stay in their house the whole day that time I first smelled it.

I am a football player. I am using Natures Alchemy Pure Essential Oil Cedarwood. It smells so good! I do not care if my teammates make fun of the smell I am wearing. What is important for me is to make myself focused on the training, and most especially on the game.

This oil gives me that kind of focus. I really need it. The way it soothes my nose down to the chest, I can forget the tiredness I have during the training or even after the game. I feel that the energy source I have in my body is always replenishing whenever I have this with me.

I am using the one our doctor advised us, Natures Alchemy Pure Essential Oil Cedarwood. It smells so good. I also use this as pain reliever. Every time I have toothache, I rub this to my jaw. It helps me in so many ways.

This is by far the best remedy for cracked heels. My clients have seen their cracked heels transformed with regular professional pedicures and-consistent regular use of CND Cucumber Heel Therapy! I am a long time CND fan.

Really good blend. My clients who are on the more adventurous scale when it comes to aromatherapy, enjoy this oil. Frankincense, rose, cedarwood and ylang ylang are predominate in the aroma.

This is excellent quality Geranium. I use it for my treatment room diffuser. It only takes a few drops! I like to mix it with bergamot and ylang ylang.
