20 Best Ceiling Fan Cleaner (2022 Updated)

I had vaulted ceilings at my old house with a ceiling fan about 15 ft above my head. For 10 years I lived there, I was never able to figure out how to clean it. I asked a few people including landlord and they all had no clue.

I started looking on youtube and found some poles that are extendable that you can attach this to. The poles are around $50, not cheap. Then I realized I had one in the garage all along! It was here when i moved in but I had no idea what it was.

I bought this and used it with the pole and my unreachable, uncleanable fan became cleanable. It sucked that a lot of debris fell all over the place because not everything would stick to it but that may just be because it had never been cleaned and there was so much build up.

I only used it once because we moved but I definitely recommend it. I removed a star because of the falling debris. I wish I had before/after photos. I knew my landlord would charge me to have it cleaned so this was definitely a good investment!.

I used it to dust my ceiling fans and it seems to work. It is not so simple to use at first. You have to line it up just so with the fan arms. it can be a bit tricky. But this is a washable product and the others out there are not removable so they can be washed.

That’s what is special about this one. But the one’s like a donut are easier to use but they can’t be removed to be washed which I think is a big negative. I did recommend it to a friend. The taller you are the easier this is to use.

Short people have more difficulty than tall people. Hint, hint.

Price good, product good and as advertised. Reason for low rating: between the time I placed the order and the time of receipt I got 31 annoying advertising emails from MAX for other products. Even got the request to write a review after submitting a “unsubscribe” declaration.

This is a very good duster that easily attaches to a standard threaded pole. It works pretty well, but it is a little too flexible at times.

The Fuzzy Fan Duster with 808 handle is a great to clean hard to reach fan blades and areas up high (crown molding, top trim boards of windows, artwork). It is much safer than standing on a ladder trying to reach high areas to clean.

The oblong design of the Fuzzy Fan Duster surrounds the fan blade for a controlled ease of removing dust. Dust sticks to the Duster and is easy to clean. I definitely recommend this item and would buy again for gifts for friends and family.

I live in a farming community in the desert in Calif. and we are in the middle of a drought so I deal with dust and micro dust which is difficult to remove but now I have a secret weapon. Fuller dusting spray and the Fuzzy Fan Duster! I use it on everything!!! I am 84 and it’s difficult to dust chair legs, book shelves and fan blades.

With its short handle or it’s extended handle and dusting head it does it all. I give these products a 10!.

I just received the set but I am very impressed with the quality. The shipping was SO FAST!!! I did test it out briefly on my 15 ft ceilings and I was standing on the floor. It worked perfect. I would recommend to anyone who wanted to stop climbing on a ladder and get their home dust free.

I bought a very similar pole from Frontgate for a lot more money. This product was just as impressive. Got those spider webs in my sun roof easy! Im very satisfied with the attachments too. Very nice quality.

I clean my workplace every two weeks for extra money and this item has been an absolute lifesaver for me! We have several vaulted ceilings and ceiling fans that the docapole and it’s attachments have helped make so much easier to reach and clean! If you have never purchased a ceiling fan blade duster before, then shop no more. this is the one to buy! I am very pleased with my purchase. The product works great! The screw-together telescopic pole provided the perfect length to reach my ceiling fan blades.

* And the static cleaning head that covers the top and bottom of the blades, does an excellent job of removing at least 90% of the blade dust in a single pass. And when I was finished cleaning my ceiling fan blades, clean-up was a breeze.

I washed the cleaning head (that reminds me of a “Tribble” from the Star Trek original series episode, “The Trouble With Tribbles”) in warm soapy water; rinsed the head and hung it to dry on a clothes hanger over my bathrub (the directions say to avoid direct sunlight).

One thing the included instructions do not tell you, is that you should cover a bed or other difficult to move furniture, located under your ceiling fan(s) to protect them from falling dust from the fan blades.

I used several plastic trash bags; then folded them over and shook out the dust in the trash dumpster. I suppose you could just stand outdoors and shake the dust from the plastic bags, but for eco-friendly purposes, I won’t suggest doing that, especially if children or pets are in the immediate area.

The dust could cause an allergic reaction. Of course you can reuse the plastic bags. Or you could use an old sheet you keep around to cover things; role it up when you are finshed cleaning your ceiling fan blades, and toss the sheet in the washing machine.

You’ll figure out what is best for you. Anyway, I recommend and like this duster, I think you will, too. *You may have to use a step ladder or buy a different duster, if your ceiling fan(s) is/are located on a “vaulted” ceiling.

The telescopic pole provided for this duster, will not be long eough to reach the ceiling fan blades from a standing position.

Absolutely fabulous!! Delivery was delayed several times and I was wondering if I would ever get it BUT it was worth waiting for!! Sturdy handle. Plenty long for me to reach fans and to dust walls and ceilings.

Being disabled getting on a ladder to clean the fan blades is dangerous. I bought the ceiling fan duster to help me NOT get on a ladder. Problem is it needs an attachment to prevent the blades from turning as you try to clean the blades.

So. I had to get on a small step stool to keep the blades from turning while I applied the duster to each of them. Other than that small problem the duster did a good job of cleaning. I also found other good uses for the duster such as using the back of it to dust off the woodwork.

The microfiber really grabs the dust and cleans well. When the jobs were done it was so easy to removed the dust cloth, wash it off in the sink, let it dry and replace it. I do recommend this product, it’s made cleaning a lot easier.

This works so well for such a low price. Easy to wash cover (machine wash, hang to dry) and pole elongates easily. I was able to use it despite the fan blades spinning. It took a little practice but I started the blades moving one direction and then nabbed each blade from the opposite side.

A pole that extends and a very good duster with big thick cloth/yarn-like grabbers. I used a broom to hold the other side of the fan blade in place while I moved the duster back and forth. It worked great! You can bend the duster wider or closer.

Designed to clean ceiling fan blades and does a great job. You still need to catch the dust, but no way to avoid that. Just the right length and not too heavy.

Love, love, love this fan duster. Used it on my blinds, window sills, corners in the ceiling, corners on the floor, etc. This is a truly wonderful dusting tool and I can’t say enough good things about it.

I haven’t washed it yet. The instructions say cool/cold water. The wand unscrews easily and screws back tightly after you get the length you want. Just a really great cleaning/dusting tool that is well worth the money you pay for it.

I love this duster. I don’t have to climb a ladder to dust my ceiling fans. I can do it myself when I open up the extension. I don’t have to do it the old way and have someone else hold the other blades so they don’t spin around while I am dusting.

Just slide the fan blade through the slit in the duster and it cleans both top and bottom. Another great thing is the microfibers grab the dust and the dust doesn’t fall onto the floor like it did before.

I cleaned my hard-to-reach ceiling fans in record time with this great duster. I’m now ordering the regular duster to more easily dust light fixtures, cobwebs, & shelves. There are two things that would make Quickie dusters better: (1) one pole & interchangeable dusting heads and (2) removable microfiber dusters that you could toss in the washer.

Otherwise this is a good product.

It will not scratch my ceiling, ceiling fan or it’s blades. It was extremely easy to put together, no need for any tools. The box has provided directions for assembly, if needed. The head has a slotted space to stick the fan blades through so that I could clean the top and bottom of the blades at the same time, great feature! The fan duster is easy to use, easy to reach the fan and cleans the dirt off. I do spray the duster with Endust to clean better. The duster washes well and I dry it naturally.

To date we have not been able to clean the fans in our office because the ceilings are too high. With this duster and the extension pole, the job will be much easier.

The extension rod is easy to handle and the attachments are easy to fasten. There is this one position when you angle the head that reverts back when you apply any pressure to the duster head and doesn’t stayed locked in that particular position.

But I can live with it. Many reviews I have read, many complaints about how tattered the duster mop becomes when you wash it in the machine. I have yet to try it out but think I will hand wash it rather than throwing it into a washing machine and air dry it rather than the dryer.

With first initial use, the duster head does have fibers that fall off but after the first use not much. I hope this OXO will last and on Amazon I see you can buy replacement duster heads. My previous extension duster was a Casabella.

Loved the lamb duster head but it broke off the rod. So we’ll see with the OXO.

Based on my previous positive experiences with this brand I decided to buy it. I have very high ceilings so I needed a long and adjustable dusting system. The first one lasted a couple of months before breaking.

Then I bought the second one and same story (well, actually this is untrue, since it broke after a couple of weeks!). The top part is too weak and unstable! Almost a 100 bucks to the trash! I’m beyond disappointed~.

Excellent product, on the pricy side but so far worth every penny. We have tall ceilings so struggled to find something with the reach to get rid of cobwebs, and that combined that with different heads depending on the areas to be cleaned.
