20 Best Cement Crack Filler (2022 Updated)

The instructions say to use a torch I used a small one with adjustable flame and a large one with a three inch diffuser both discolored or burnt the gray sealer. This was applied to one month old concrete that was cleaned two days prior and allowed to dry.

If you’re wanting to fill a gap and don’t care about the looks it will work. Before buying I looked at many reviews and it seemed like a great product but the amount of heat needed seemed to vary and it may be the plastic it’s wrapped in.

I don’t know but I do know I ruined a nice walkway and patio I made for my mother in law.

Have an addition that was added onto the back of my house. The seam between the old foundation and addition had opened up I guess with frost and was a concern for both water and air to get in but also bugs.

After doing some YouTube reach I was going to fix the crack with hydraulic cement but was concerned that any more movement and the hydraulic cement wouldn’t compress or expand. So the more research I did I found the dri core product that is both water proof expands and contracts with movement.

So I cleaned out the crack with some compressed air to make sure there wasn’t any debris in the crack and then cleaned the area with a concrete cleaner so the foam would adhere to as clean a surface as possible.

I followed the directions on the tube for applying and it was as easy as using any other spray foam I had used in the past. Once filled I let it set for a few days before I trimmed the excess. Now I can not comment on how water proof it is as I didn’t have any water intrusion thru the crack but it did stop the air that was coming thru and will keep out any ants or spiders.

I got the product about a month and a half ago and it was just to cold to use outside. It finally warmed up enough to use it. I cleaned the crack of concrete chips and then vacuumed the crack. I simply injected into the crack making sure to force it deep into the crack.

I simply just troweled the excess over the crack to help seal it. It was very easy to use, just put it in the normal caulking gun and pull the trigger. It does not get any easier than that. Now that being said I did the crack from the outside and the inside.

Product worked great and I would recommend this to everybody.

Product was shipped to my house in a timely manner. It is a three step system. When I opened the package I thought I was getting all three products. Step 1 CRACK PREP SURFACE PASTE Step 2 CRACK INJECTION EXPANDING FOAM and Step 3 CARBON FIBER REINFORCEMENT KIT.

The package only had the expanding foam in it. Didn’t feel comfortable using it on its own. Home Depot website said Dri-core products are not sold in store. My customer didn’t want to wait any longer to finish up the job so I had to purchase a different product.

Willing to try this system in the future but for now I give it 2 stars to be fair since I didn’t have a chance to test it.

I decided to use this product last month to patch a crack in our cold room in the basement. However, I had to wait a couple of few weeks for the water to dry up. This is not a visible area in the basement and the water leak is not bad.

I wanted to see how well this product works without the additional expanding foam product. After cleaning the area, I applied the Crack Prep surface paste all the way from the top to the bottom. I used my taping knife to spread the product as required around the crack.

I checked it the next day and the product had cured. It has been a couple of weeks since the application. I have not seen signs of humidity or water yet coming through the area where the crack is or on the floor below it.

The product has worked but time and aging through the Spring rain will give me a better picture. Overall, the instructions are clear to follow and the product is easy to use. It does not require a lot of expertise or tools to apply.

It appears to have solved a problem that would have cost me much more to repair. I certainly recommend the Dricore Crack Prep surface Paste product.

This patching paste was exactly what I needed after pulling up some old flooring and finding a crack in the concrete underneath. Following the prep instructions the paste was easy to apply and working with the product was fairly easy to be tooled as needed.

This was a quick and affordable way to make the patch. Rather than having to buy a bag of dry patch and mix with water this one was premixed of course so much faster to install and a lot less mess. Also saved from making either too much or not enough which usually happens when you use alternatives that require mixing.

Overall pretty happy.

I have a storage room in my basement that has a couple of cracks in the concrete. Nothing structurally wrong with it but they were just an eyesore. I used this stuff on the cracks to get rid of eyesore.

It was so easy to use and went on like a typical tube of caulking. So far everything is fine. There is no cracking or shrinking of the product and it seems to have done the job. The colour difference between the concrete and the product is obvious but i can live with it as I know the cracks are sealed up.

Overall I am happy with the product and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I am sorry to have read that people here have been having issues with the flowability of this product. Personally, I find this product flows very well and really gets into cracks and whatnot. So maybe some here are getting old product that is already on the dry side? The dry time depends on how much of a gap one needs to fill but even with a more deeper application I find that it only takes a few hours to dry.

Its dries as a rubbery concrete. The colour always tends to be a brighter grey at first but give it a few months and it will gradually darken due to the elements. You will most likely have to reapply every 5 years or so, at least if you live in an area that has winters.

But once again, if you get this product in proper form it is very easy to apply, anyway. Definitely easier than constantly having to remove the weeds that emerge within the cracks or gaps between my concrete slabs.

After 15 years the sealant cracked along foundation. The driveway settled 1″ no chalking would have worked Remove old chalking and replaced it. The saw cut joints are showing some pin hole cracking. After 15 years it is expected.

Make sure you buy fresh batches and use it all up. I read the reviews and if you buy old stock it is thicker and impossible to use. Return It.

Back blew out immediately after squeezing the tube. Seems like it could be a decent product otherwise. It doesn’t seep into cracks well but seems good for superficial repairs. It can be useful under certain situations.

Used this on garage and basement floors, and on the driveway. Used filler rod on the larger cracks. Worked just as advertised and stuck in the cracks better than any other sealer I tried. Has lasted several years.

Spreads easy and seals the cracks well, but takes crazy amount of time to dry! Even in warm, dry Florida weather, this stuff takes more than month to cure. The outer layer dries within a couple days, but stays gooey underneath for way too long.

Its great for filling cracks, easy to use. Doesn’t hold up well when driving over it alot. I’ve used it before and will continue to.

Foundation crack filled with minimal fuss. The stickiness made it interesting to apply, but also lends confidence that it really will adhere and seal the crack.

This is a superior product to use on the hairline cracks in my driveway.
