20 Best Ceramic Brake Pads (2022 Updated)

The pads came without any mounting hardware and took much longer to arrive than expected. They are great pads, nothing wrong with the quality. I’m just that upset that the mounting hardware wasn’t included, especially when your paying for a premium pad.

Nobody carries the brake hardware for that vehicle either, it generally needs to be ordered and it’s not cheap. Be aware when ordering pads from them’.

Good brake replacement. Did not come with new clips for the install.. so used the old clips, no issue in doing so. Brakes are good OE replacement and do not break the bank. Overall satisfied

Bought these with the new power slot rotors. Great stopping power and very little dust. Might as well if your upgrading your rotors. Install took no time but I put afternoon since I cleaned and painted my calipers.

Since these Wagner pads looked like a higher-end product, I order them with a price match. Was disappointed that they did not come with shims attached or grease like the store brand pads. Since there was no shims, Wagner instructions said to use EMP Compound on the back of pads.

No one st Advance knew what EMP was. I tried Permatex disc brake quiet (equivalent to EMP?) on the back of the pads but it never set up so I ended up not using it.

After using all the major brands, this version of Wagners brake pads are the best for everyday driving. Stop and go traffic, hard braking. these pads have performed the best of the rest! One of the best parts about these pads is that they produce very little dust compared to others that cling to aluminum wheels, these dont have that problem!.

good pads for my 2005 4×4 silverado but i advise cking with the store before you buy. there are 5 different sets of pads for this vehicle. if you exchange at the store you get credit for wrong set but you don’t get the same price for the right ones as you pay on the internet!!!!1 find the right set than buy online for the savings.

These brakes work very well except that they squeal. The package said that anti-squeal was built in but it isn’t working. I even got an anti-squeal product that work briefly and then the squeal returned.

I would have rated 5 but this is the second pair for my 2013 toyota tacoma 2wd 4cyl that the clips provided did not work I replaced pads 2 years ago and the clips did not work then either had to use the original ones.

I know I’m not the only person with a special set of clips for the 2013 and you had two more years to get them corrected but that did not happen.

I installed this set of brakes on my wifes 2006 Toyota Solara and my speed racer loves the way the cars stops with her new brakes. The brakes do not squeal and produce little brake dust making it much easer to keep the wheels clean.

I was told by the counter person to keep my box & sales slip & when the brakes need to be replaced I bring my old brakes in the box with the sales slip & they will be replaced for free. Thats buy one get one free! To date I have nothing negative to report regarding this product.

I will use these brakes in the future.

I have using these brake pad since they have come out and I can’t say enough about them, that are awesome. Give me piece of mind while driving, and I drive a lot and very fast.

They are quiet and smooth. Were easy to install. I’m very satisfied with these pads.

I find these pads to be perfect for my Trailblazer. They are quiet, fade resistent, and work smoothly.

easy to install once i got the correct front brake pads. advance auto (this site) did NOT ask me about a third row seat (i didn’t have) so they gave me the wrong brakes (i picked up in store). in the middle of my install i had to go haggle with the store i picked these up from.

there are online codes you can use plus the $30 mail-in visa card so i saved like 50%!!! makes this a great value once you get the right part#. the store can NOT give you the same discounts (only can do 15%).

i haven’t gotten to drive yet to test.

Easy to install and designed to not use anti squeal shims. No dust and long lasting. Look for rebates from Wagner and use online discounts from Advance to make these a super value.

The Wagner ThermoQuiets are functional brake pads but they produce an incredible amount of dust. They turn the wheels black in just a few days. The pads are not as depicted in the pictures here. The ceramic pad material used to be that khaki color in the picture and the brake dust was minimal.

Now the material looks more like semi-metallic than ceramic and the brake dust is a real problem. I currently have these pads on an Expedition and an F-150 and they’re both producing a ridiculous among of dust.

It is not a caliper, rotor, or brake line issue. I spent a lot of time trying to diagnose the dust issue and have come to the conclusion that it’s the Wagner ThermoQuiet pads.

I have never had pads make this much mess on my rims. Stopping power is good, noise is nonexistent. Funny how I got rear pads of the same make and at the same time and there is no mess from them.

They are quiet and went in without a hitch. The correct clips were included to replace the originals. Hate to rate now as it’s only been a week but everything is working as expected. This is a copy of the review for the front pads as they were all done at the same time.

These are a great set of replacement pads. They installed easily, have excellent stopping power, and are super quiet. Only reason I gave them 4 stars is because they did not include the wear sensor/clips.

I bought these for my 2009 Subaru Legacy and have been disappointed. They were fairly difficult to install because they seemed to be slightly too large/thick. Ever since I installed them, there has been a grinding noise occasionally while driving and always while stopping.

I installed Wearever pads and rotors on my girlfriend’s car last week with no squeaking and no problems, but these have been a headache ever since I put them on my car. I even took it to the Subaru dealer to see if I had installed them incorrectly.

They made sure everything was in order and said that the pads might just have to wear down a bit before the grinding stops. Now my car, with brand new pads and rotors, sounds worse than it did before.

These are not quiet brakes. I bought these on 2/18/14 with new rotors as well from Advance Auto. now the brakes squeal louder than a pig in the morning and more annoying. The squealing goes away after the brake/rotor has been warmed up so I don’t know, maybe it’s just bad metal material that these are made from.

I will never order Wagner or Wearever ever again.

NOISEY BRAKE PADS!.

I purchased these brake pads (front set) for a 2009 Honda Civic LX. While I have used these brake pads in other vehicle applications they have worked great, no noise, good stopping power, no brake dust.

I verified the part number as well as the advance employee at my store. These pads were simply too thick to fit the honda civic they were manufactured for. Initially I could not get the caliper to slide over these pads, with the piston fully retracted.

Even trying to use a rubber hammer to tap the caliper over was of no use. Also note that I had cleaned any rust or debris from the calipers with a drill and wire brush. Thinking that possibly the new rotors were manufactured incorrectly I also tried these pads on the old rotor, still no luck, I then tried the opposite side and opposet set of pads with both new and old rotors and the opposite side verified the pads were too thick to fit into the caliper.

At the store we visually compared them to the wearever platinum ceramic pads, these pads were around 1mm a piece thicker than the weaver platinum ceramic pads, so by using a set of these you are losing around 2mm of clearance.

I returned these, purchased the wearever platinum brake pads, and had no issues on the install. After time wasted assembling and disassembling, plus a special trip to advance and back, I won’t ever purchase these pads again.

I can advice you not install these on a 2009 Honda Civic LX, this particular one had drum brakes in the rear. However, I would assume that most civics in this generation use the same front caliper and rotor setup.

2005 Honda Civic EX, 83,700 miles from OEM set of front pads, still rolling on the rear pads. Upon reviewing too much data from the Internet and in the stores, I settled on these pads. Immediately they proved themselves as great quality and performing pads.

Slight brake pressure provides instant response. They feel so good, I want to replace the back brakes now too, even though they don’t need replacing! Will look to these same pads for my 2008 Honda Odyssey when it comes due for new brakes.

I hope that I can get 83,700 miles out of these, time will tell. The value was excellent and much better than I had expected.

This is an excellent pad. They come with backing shims and replacement slide inserts. These pads leave virtually no brake dust. I have been running them for at least 50k miles in my Honda Civic, and they still have plenty of life left in them.

I prefer the feel of organic pads for light braking, but the performance of these ceramics during heavy braking is excellent. The main downside is a long break in period (I reused old rotors), which I feel reflects their slow wear rate more than anything.

I did have to lightly grind the ears to get a good sliding for in my calipers.

I generally don’t wear heels of any kind much. When I do, it’s either smaller (size 10) or larger (size 11). If you can’t tell, I’m a size 10. 5, with somewhat wide feet, which does not give many cute shoe options.

I wanted a comfortable, yet fashionable black boots for when I go out, and this just may have done it. I bought a different brand tan boots from Nordstrom rack a few years , which is semi comfortable, but needs socks to wear with.

I knew I could walk in these heels, since those are around 2. 5″ heels. Anyway, trying on these boots, I was shocked that not only did I feel like I wasn’t wearing heels, but my feet was not swimming in the boots.

It felt like borderline sneakers. I tried with normal socks, and while it was more fitted for, and not tight, I may actually prefer it more sockless. These boots look even better in person, than on the site.

I’m happy with this purchase. Haven’t walked a lot yet with it, but it’s great so far. Truly impressed!.

Oil guage was not moving. Oil was coming out the side of the tractor and making a mess everywhere. Took apart sheet metal and saw a pin sized hole where oil was gushing out. Did some quick research and saw this Tubing kit.

Employees had NO idea what and where it was but i found it myself. Install was quick and easy for a self taught, non mechanic trying to save money and get stuff done. Came with all connectors and simply traced original tubing and placement with the new one.

Started tractor and was amazed at its success. No oil spilling, gauge worked and tractor didnt catch on fire.

So far, so good. They fit perfectly. Easy change. They include new spring plates and grease. The Explorer seems to stop great which is good since I’ve used other brands that didn’t before. Very happy.

Pads were perfect fit, but the shims fit was too tight on the brackets and would not allow the pads to seat or move properly (brackets were in great shape, were completely clean and wire brushed). Had to discard the shims the new pads came with, clean and reuse the existing shims.

Disappointing but made them work. Would have scored them higher if not for the poor fitting shims.

The pads installed easily and braking is quiet. Per the associate, these came with all of the replacement clips, etc. The shims are part of the back of the pad and the wear indicator is already attached to the pad.

They don’t come with any brake lube like many other good pads do, so don’t forget to spend the extra couple of bucks.

The brake pads were easy to install, at least no harder than any other brand. They do what they were advertised to do – stop the car, better than OEM by a pretty good margin. They are quieter and smoother than the old OEM pads and seem to keep my aluminum wheels cleaner.

I also installed new rotors, so that may also be contributing to the better performance and quieter braking that I am witnessing. One negative thing that I do have to say is that for the price I paid the brake pad grease should have been included as it is with others in a similar price range.

This caused me to have to return the store, a considerable distance away, to purchase the grease. Thankfully, I have another vehicle in which to make the trip. It also wouldn’t have hurt the manufacturer to have included new hardware, even if they needed to charge a couple of dollars more.

I installed these on my 07 Chevy Equinox. These are exact fit for the vehicle. I’ve used these before. Not the best pads in the world but for the price, you can’t go wrong.

I chose to upgrade the pads, but even though the pads were okay, the clips did not fit my 2011 Equinox. I had to purchase a hardware kit for another $18. 35 on top of the most expensive pads. Not happy with that at all.

I bought these as a replacement for a set of Wearever Golds that tended to leave a lot of black residue on my 10-spoke alloy wheels, unlike the original pads. The Wearever pads were not as close to being worn-out, but tended to emit the same grinding sound that would indicate the metal part of a completely worn-out pad cutting into the rotor, especially when the pads were cold.

Since the rotors were starting to show some significant wear, I decided that I’d had enough and switched to something with better overall reviews. I experienced a worn-out pad cutting a rotor on my previous vehicle, and I don’t want to hear that same sound from “good” pads every day.

These ceramic brakes are a cost effective way to sell brake pads. They have consistently not given us any comebacks caused by performance or from brake squeal. Topped off with there rotors are a perfect combination for most cars.

What a great product. These pads were the same cost as the ceramic Wherever’s I got last time I needed to replace the rear pads and they are noticably better. They were easy to install and fit like a glove, unlike the Wherever’s that I had to grind some of the tab from.

Also there has been minimal brake dust and zero noise. These pads are affordable, reliable and highly recommended for a Honda Accord.

Ordering was easy and the parts arrived in two days. My son, who is a mechanic installed the brake pads with ease. He was very pleased with the the quality of the parts.

Bought new Wagner Ceramic pads for Toyota 4Runner and Nissan Altima and had them professionally installed. Since their installation, they have screeched on reversing and braking while driving. I have had these same brake pads before and liked their performance, but these new pads on both vehicles have given me nothing but problems with noise.

I will be emailing the manufacturer about this problem since I have not had this in several sets of the same brakes prior.

I love ThermoQuiet pads! They are the best! They last longer, dust less, make NO NOISE! They are worth every penny!

The brake pads came in a timely manner, packing was great, and the install was 2 out of 3 wrenches; if done by yourself. My issue with these pads. i still see plenty of brake dust, especially in the rear wheels.

Although, it comes off very easily. Also, my fronts squeak just a little when braking from idle cruising. As far as braking power, i can’t really tell the difference. Maybe i should of used “Track Apps” to record Braking.

Overall, 3 of 5 stars. I expected a bit more from the hype in its description.

Did a brake job using advanced auto’s ceramic high end pads that cost more than these. Squealed like a couple of pigs going to slaughter. Popped these on and worked like a charm, quiet as a church mouse.

After upgrading my 2012 to Brembo brakes and replacing the rims the original pads left a lot of brake dust on the rims, added these and there was a huge reduction in the amount of dust with the same braking performance.

NOTE: This car is a daily driver so I can’t speak to track performance of these pads.

Originally bought another brand – made my Camry sound like a school bus when braking. This did help keep my daughter from borrowing the car, but I finally switched to these. Very easy to install and completely silent.

Only difference from factory parts: no brake dust with these! A++.

The pads called for on my vehicle were too short,a 2006 Toyota Camry XLE with 3. 0 engine. Fortunately the store had another set of pads for a 2006 Toyota with a 3. 2 engine and they fit perfectly. This was not the fault of the store because Wagner showed the same pad for my vehicle that I origanally purchased.

The only problem was a 20 mile round trip to exchange the pads.

These brake pads work well. Not much more to say. Easy installation. Fair price. Satisfied

The brakes are fine. They last a long time and come with a good warranty. Don’t use the added clips unless yours are damaged or lost, even then, use them only as a temporary solution

These brake pads look and feel very good. the addition of the wear indicator is a plus. Hopefully I wont hear the low pad indicator for a long time and lots of miles. Appear to be a very good product.

Like the price like the warranty and like Autozone keeps them available. Really dislike the dust, then the noise and they wear a little faster than expected. For the money they are spot on. The wheels are always dirty from these but keep them clean and the brakes are quiet as well.

I absolutely love the location I purchased my new brakes from. The customer service clerk was quick and polite, and even made me laugh. As a woman shopping in an auto parts store can be nerve wracking.
