20 Best Ceramic Detail Spray (2022 Updated)

I have been using Griots products for about 20 years. I have used a LOT of their products and have been relatively happy with most. But from all I read about ceramic I thought ceramic speed shine might be a step too far.

When I ordered the bottle I ended up letting it sit in my detail cart for months. I finally decided to try it on my wifes Jeep Wrangler wheels since they tend to show dirt quicker because of the mud terrain tires.

So we cleaned everything up really well and then used this spray with no other coatings. Just the speed shine with ceramic. I have to say I am very surprised and pleased that it does leave behind protection on its own and not just extend protection you already installed like I thought.

The wheels are staying veyr clean for much longer than usual. I then sprayed this on the wheels for my truck which has premium 22inch wheels from the factory. They are looking much cleaner for longer too.

Last night I washed my truck and sprayed it down with the ceramic speed shine as well to get the benefits on the paint as well. I am very happy with the results so far. I know this isnt like doing a full coating with the concentrated ceramic coatings but it does give just enough for my daily drivers.

As a LONG TIME Griot’s fan, I was thrilled to see this product. I use Griot’s products exclusively. The Ceramic Wax is so fast, so easy, and so glossy, this “In between” spray was a must-have. I have a new 2021 ride with black pearl paint.

This morning, I washed off the recent snow & salt as the local temp was in the low 60’s. I applied per the directions. At first, it seemed like the usual Griot’s happy face- quick & easy. I then noticed smearing in several spots.

I eventually used EVERY microfibre towel I own (A LOT) and spent way too much time trying to buff out the smearing. The more I looked, the more I found. Every panel was looking bad. I re-applied some, in order to break the haze, and ended up needing to press so hard, I was afraid of damaging my brand new clearcoat.

I was totally exhausted with two sore arms when done, and there are STILL areas that look bad. After this fiasco, I plan on selling the remainder of my gallon on e-bay. The time I spent doing a “quick” wash & detail was equal to doing an entire wax job, but after a wax, the paint looks flawless- this looks like the.

99 cent car wash results, with a 14 year old drying. (Smearing the remaining road film into different places) Not only am I totally disgusted with this product, but when I tried to clean my glass, I found the windows all have buildup on them, that nothing will remove.

Griot’s glass cleaner/ windex/ and a few others had NO effect on this stuff. So I’ll have another “GO” at it tomorrow, and see if another misting will remove the crud on my glass, or hopefully, I won’t need to spend another 3) hours doing a complete glass clay bar treatment on all of my week-old windows.

For sure, I won’t be using the Ceramic Speed Shine with the clay bar, or anywhere else. Stick with original Speed Shine- this stuff is not only useless, but it’s bad for your paint AND your glass.

I have previously used the speed shine on occasion and that is one really nice product. I decided to try the Ceramic Speed Shine on a day when the temperature was in the mid 30s, but with a good amount of solar radiation.

I was careful to wipe off the spray as detailed in the instructions. I went over each section a few times to clear out any residual streaks of material. After I had completed the whole vehicle in a relatively short time, I rubbed down the surfaces one more time.

It was not a laborious effort at all. The next day I was admiring the glossy finish of the car (Deep Sea Blue Metallic on my X3) and I was so pleased with the results. It is a great product.

Gyeon has been difficult to get in Australia so it is great to have these amazing products available at Repco. It goes on smooth but you have to buff off the excess quickly as it gets harder the drier it becomes.

You don’t need a lot either as a little goes a long way. Top shine and prtection. I use it once a month after a 2 bucket wash. Top stuff!.

I used it dry aswell applying it wet and it is a drying aid. It really makes your paint work pop. Nice and glossy

Great product. The car is so shiny and smooth with very little effort. Definitely recommend this product.

It takes 3 coats, 3 weeks apart. and upkeep here and there. but my vehicle stays cleaner longer. and it makes washes much faster. Let’s hope this widstands the test of time in the long run, like protecting from UV rays as it claims.

Got a good deal on Walmart. For $15, can’t beat that price. Great product. I typically use it once every 3 months.

I bought this product a week ago to protect the finish on a newly painted trunk containing several layers of clear coat. I followed the directions and ‘stacked’ several layers of CMX over a number of days.

Came out one morning after an evening of high humidity and noticed what appeared to be small trails left on the wet trunk by several small moths walking over the trunk lid he previous evening. I noticed these moths the previous evening before I went to sleep.

For some reason a very fine etching in the finish appeared where several of the moths had traveled. A few spots, where it appears the moth’s wings became wet and came into full contact with the finish also left indelible marks after I washed off the remnants of what the wing left behind.

I will probably be able to polish these markings out with a polisher but was somewhat disappointed in seeing what several small moths ended up doing to the protected finish. I would think this or any other ceramic coating would provide the necessary protection.

Maybe central IL just has some pretty acidic moths.

Bought this 1. 5 yrs ago. 3x coats. Drove across Australia 6 months later. All the dirt, mud, etc from 2 months of travel came off with a simple wipe. 1 yr after application did an outback trip. Again the grime came off easy enough.

1. 5yrs after app, noticed reduced performance. Dirt grime harder to wipe off and areas of bonnet had lost coating completely. A recoat once per year should keep it good. Way better than having to rewax every month or two.

Just bought another bottle for my new car.

Best stuff I have used in my life and I have tried them all!! For great results use 2 micro fiber towels. Spray lightly on surface of the car doing 1 panel at a time, then wipe off with the first towel.

Then using second micro fiber towel wipe surface to get a brilliant sheen. You don’t have to rub hard, just lightly wipe and it is a clear mist that comes off very easily. I have used so many products over the years for black cars that my head would spin.

This stuff by far is the best and easiest to apply and has the deepest gloss I have ever seen on my 4 cars and they are all show cars and each have won dozens of show trophys and one is a national 2020 classic parts catalog cover car.

My boss just bought a 2019 Shelby and sent it out to have it Ceramic coated, I can tell you that the shine and gloss from this product matches the depth and reflective properties from his $900 professional Ceramic job.

Usually on a black car when you look at it in the sun it is not really black but has a somewhat brownish/muddy tinge in the paint. This stuff made my cars look as black as pictures you see from deep space and the reflection looked a mile deep and you could literally fall into it.

It is also the most slippery substance I have ever seen for a paint job as my car cover is hard to put on now as it keeps sliding off in every direction as I try to get it on the car. All of the minor scratches disappear too!! I have been using old bottles of Turtle Wax Armor Plate Teflon spray that I had for years and couldn’t find anymore since it was discontinued and have been going crazy looking for something as a replacement for that that would be close to having the same shine on my cars and ease of application.

I have never written a review for any product before, but because this blew my expectations away I felt I had to let people know about this and it looks just as good as my friends big dollar Ceramic job.

I have now found my final spray detailer for my black show cars.

The is a really great product when applied on vehicles with good, well kept paint surfaces. Before I go on, I should reemphasize that this product is NOT a substitute for washing really dirty surfaces.

However, I am convinced that this stuff is an effective means of maintaining paint between (thorough) washings—especially when treated with a ceramic coating. I had a ceramic coating applied to my SUV and it works great for me.

Next, I will say that this stuff is not a $13. 00 cure all; it is NOT suitable to rejuvenate severely flawed or damaged paint surfaces such as those with embedded water spots, old swirls, or dirt abrasions / scratches.

This being said, I would be very suspicious about some reviewer complaints stating that the product did not remove water spots and that it leaves swirls. Not being conceited but it sounds like some people are expecting a miracle from a container of Turtle Wax holy water.

Also, I believe that this detailer is some of the easiest and most effortless compound to apply and remove, and I’ve tried quite a few on my pick up truck and my SUV. I am impressed with the shine it produces, too.

It has excellent water-beading qualities and it I leaves a very good shine that lasts. Lastly, the bottom line is that this stuff really works as advertised and it should satisfy anyone that can live with reasonable expectations after spending a small amount of money.

Again, this product certainly is not some kind of bottled holy water. I highly recommend it.

Great product!! I use this as my primary detailing spray on my hybrid ceramic TW coating. Definitely follow the directions! Too much spray and you will get streaks that are hard to get out. However, once you’ve applied the right amount to your pad or towel and it will all fall into place.

Water just falls off the surfaces. GREAT!!!.

I bought this as an alternative to Autoglym Aqua Wax. The recommended initial application is the same as Aqua Wax. The notable differences are that this gives a slicker feeling immediately and smells a lot better.

The paint looked glossy and deep (dark metallic grey). (Un)fortunately it rained a few hours after application so I got to see the beading. Beads are nice and tight and you can clearly see the product spread everywhere on first application.

Time will tell how long it lasts during winter but repeat application is spray and rinse so should be nice and quick. If it last as long as others have reported it will be a 5 star product. For now I can’t go much higher than 4.

I take the care of my caper seriously and won’t shy away from spending 4-5 hours giving it an expensive wax treatment. But from time to time, I need to give it a quick treatment and get in with other things.

The Hybrid Ceramic Wax allows me to do exactly that, it’s not the same as a pukka way, there are no fillers of canuba wax, but it literally takes no longer than a was and dry. Plus, the paintwork has excellent beading properties for weeks.

I use this every other wash and highly recommend it.

I purchased this product about a little more than a year ago. I have a Ford F-250 2001 in a dark blue and it would always look like it was dirty, after receiving my nexgen order I spent the day clay barring my truck and the next day I washed and dried it then applied the ceramic coating it was the easiest part of the job.

When I finished I was truly impressed my truck looked like it came off the showroom floor and has been working ever since. It took 3/4 of the bottle to do my truck, but now I apply it every 3-4 months, not because it needs it but it helps to keep it looking clean and robust.

Needless to say I was very skeptical when I first purchased because I had tried other ceramic waxes and they didn’t perform. I will never use any other brand from here on out. I love this product. I drive all over the pacific coast states, through all kinds of different weather and this stuff is still going strong.

People are always telling me how good my truck looks for an old gal…lol….

I’ve read many of the reviews and see a lot of different results. I have 3 cars and had different results with each of them. It’s not always due to the product, but most often due to the condition of the car.

If your car is left outside all the time and is exposed to many different conditions, rain, pollen, hot, cold, etc results will vary. one of my cars is like that. My main car is kept in the garage and is washed every week, regardless if it needs it or not- and I always spray it with NexGen detail spray or Griots speed wax after every wash.

And since day 1, after taking it home from the dealer it’s been washed, waxed – both spray and buffed, and the paint has been meticulously maintained. When I used NexGen on this car it went on & off with no problem.

I can drive through a rain storm on the highway and put it in my garage, and when it dries it looks like it was just waxed. Other than some backsplash from the tires around my fenders. This product works.

On the car I leave out all the time, prior to using Nexgen the 1st time, I had to deep clean it first, clay it, and wash it again. The results were different. It went on easy but it did slightly streak, so I re-did it (NexGen spray) and it was fine.

So definitely more prep work on my car I leave out in the elements. It’s not the product’s fault, the elements are harsh; rain and pollen are killers. Leaves that are left on your car will stain your clear coat and also leaves a residue behind.

If you wash your outside car weekly and maintain it with Nexgen every 2-3 months you’ll get the same results as the Garaged kept car. but there is more work involved. But if you think you can run your outside car through a car wash and come home and spray ‘any ceramic’ product on thinking it will be perfect, you’re mistaken.

It all depends on the condition of your car and preparation. I’ve tried many different products from F-11, Chemical Guys, Meguiars to name just a few and they all work OK, but Nexgen, in my opinion, seems to work the best and last the longest.

I take a lot of pride in keeping my vehicles looking their best. Although I am not a professional detailer, I like to think I’m pretty good at it. I have basically been using Mothers Products for some time now, and have even dabbled with the Produxa, both of which are very good products that gave me very nice results.

I was sceptical to buy this Nexgen Ceramic Spray, mostly because of the price, I thought it was a gimmic. But after reading many reviews about the results, I decided to give it a try and I am glad I did.

Just this past weekend I tried it for the first time and I honestly feel this is the best detailing product I ever used. Time will tell on the sustainability, but I can honestly say that my 2011 Cadillac SRX and 2016 Mercedes Benz C-300 never looked so good.

I also watched the owners videos which were very helpfull in showing the proper application method. My 8oz bottle did both of these vehicles, with plenty to spare. I highly recommend Nexgen Ceramic Spray for those out there who want their vehicle looking their best.

This product is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Nick and the team have really hit it out of the park with this one. Impossible to figure out how it works, so stop trying and just use it! Firstly, HBP makes drying the vehicle immensely easier.

Once over with a 800GPM microfiber towel and it’s done, no more re-wiping. And then there’s the SHINE! No other product has made my wife’s Orca Black Audi Q8 reflect like a mirror except Hydro Blue. In between washes enjoy the hydrophobic properties – the vehicle feels buttery like a good sealer and even repels nighttime condensation.

But it still doesn’t end there – because the next time you wash the vehicle, bird droppings and such just rinse right off! HBP is a must for anyone who takes care of their cars, it truly is a no brainer.

Not sure yet about the difference between Regular and Pro, perhaps longevity?.

This is by far the easiest to use ceramic there is. It is truly is as easy as spraying on and immediately rinsing off. I use this on my personal vehicles, boat, lawn mowers, wheel barrel. It provides incredible hydrophobic properties.

What I really like is that it can be applied to all exterior surfaces, including glass, wheels etc. My wheels stay cleaner longer and are easier to clean when needed. My windshield is like it has had rainX applied.

Just make sure you only spray two sprays per panel and immediately rinse it off (pressure washer spreads it much better). If they update the product, I would like to see a bit more gloss if possible.

It’s glossy but could use more.

I used the 365 Ceramic spray on top of the 360 Ceramic One Step. It is easy to apply and easy to remove. It leaves behind a nice slickness , solid beading action, and an incredible gloss. If you recognize the truck in my attached photos, it is because that is the truck in the product photo! The truck still looks that good 2 years later.

I hand wash and occasionally top up the Ceramic spray. Still POPS!!.

this is my personal experience, just average amateur car owner. i expected this to be one and done process or at least once a year because it was a tiring process and i was disappointed. just 2-3 weeks exposure to heavy afternoon thunderstorm and pressure water cleaning, the coating washed off.

This my general process of my application, maybe someone here might point out if i missed an important process that i should or not have done. had the car washed in a local carwash establishment, let dry, let it cool down, parked in a shade in between trees (i dont have a personal indoor garage).

began applying the spray, shake it first before squeezing. i can say i over did it because there were streaking in the surface of the panels. car covered it, waited another 22-23 hrs and do it all over again for the 2nd coat.

i did not use the car during these period for the “curing”. thats it and the sealant still came off in just 2-3 weeks.

Bought this thinking I’d try out a ‘ceramic’ product on my nearly new metallic grey car. I’ve been using an older Meguiars synthetic product to add some gloss and protection after washing. This Turtle product is easy to spray on, but I find buffing it off difficult.

Plus the instructions don’t make it clear how quickly I can buff it off. I did one coat. And then after taking all that trouble of buffing (by hand), the ‘slick’ feel of the paintwork seems to go within 4 weeks! And that’s with my car parked in a garage almost all the time! Turtle Wax didn’t respond to several emails.

Will never use again, and wish I could return it.

This amazing product will replace all other waxes, detailing sprays and cleaning preps in my tool chest. It went on as easily as any detail spray or surface cleaner I have ever used, but the results blew me away! This ceramic wax enhances color depth like no other while providing eye catching shine.

I didn’t even have to use a deep cleaning, grime, wax or even a water spot remover prior to applying, the spray on wax seemed to removed it all. For duller areas I did use Turtle’s Hybrid Solutions Wax with Polishing Compound.

Only hand polishing was needed on a 21 year old surface. this is seriously good stuff! I watched an independent UTube video against the top competitors for these products and the Turtle also had the best results for outlasting shine when subjected to a multitude of harsh cleaning products.

This stuff also seems to be safe on vinyl and rubber surfaces and does not leave a chalky white residue like traditional wax. It’s INSANE !.

So Ive used detailers in the past but this hybrid one works great! It’s important that it’s not a miracle detailer and you have to follow instructions. So you have to a properly prepped car to ensure this detailer is used at its full potential.

I did a deep clean car wash on both my vehicles to strip off old wax and also iron remover before using meguiars hybrid ceramic coat. After that I have been using this detailing spray at the end of the week for a quick wipe down and the cars shine and still have a slick exterior.

Water still beads up and makes drying off easy.

Used this a topper in-between polishes on my graphene coating. Was washing during a somewhat warmish but sunny day and all of a sudden had to take an important phone call in the middle of rinsing down.

Ten minutes later the sun had baked in some water spots all over the hood and passenger side of my GLC. Finished rinsing & dried the vehicle to begin using this product. Without too much effort while following directions it was able to remove the water spots and give a decent shine-not the glossiest but sparkling enough.

Verdict is out on any kind of protection the ceramic layer provides.

I tried this after viewing from one of my subscribed channel, and it definitely have it’s name. I only used a few ounces of the ceramic detailer, and it able to covered up the entire car including the rims.

After spending an hour of spraying and wiping, the car definitely looks like it has been wax again. I definitely will continue using this product in the future and definitely recommend to other people for sure.

I received the gallon of it frozen solid! Which means now it’s watered down! They say not get any of your products frozen because it will Dilute the product and won’t work great. The product didn’t look right even after I thawed it out and shook it up.

Trying to get ahold of someone from Ethos is like trying to get ahold of the president of the United States not even joking. I was a huge fan of Ethos but recently I have put them at the bottom of the list and most likely going to go back go Adam’s Polishes at least they actually care about there customer and you can actually talk to the owner.

This product is just a detail spray with ceramic in it nothing crazy tbh. I also have a gallon of resist an I have cleaned my whole truck then put that on it then pro shine and after a snow storm an all the salt it was like there was nothing even put of my truck sooo I dunno! Listen people I am real world guy who works a 6-5 job doing construction and travels 110 miles a day for work an back home soo my truck is pushed to the limits of the elements and I CONSTANTLY clean my truck an use Ethos ceramic shampoo and resist and pro shine and it usually only lasts when it rains or snows maybe 2-3 days that’s it.

They claim resist works for months but let’s be honest they are in Cali where it never rains and doesn’t snow. I am from New England and I am blue color guy who works 5 days a week and drives 110 miles a day from my house to work an work to back home, we are in winter and it snows every other day and rains constantly! Buy what you want but I think Adam’s Polishes is way better then Ethos and there Adam’s polish actually had a PHONE NUMBER for customer service! Sooo belive what you want but I have had nothing but problems with Ethos products and with there customer service.

but what do I know right?.

I’ve been a detailing nut since the 70’s and have seen the progression of products throughout the years get better and better and this product brings it up a level. I have used detail sprays from several different companies with varying results.

The Ethos Pro Shine provides a depth of gloss that no other detail spray I have used comes close. Additionally the product wipes off exceptionally clear with no visible smearing or streaking. Really impressed.

One of my cars is light color and the other dark and both come out great with the Pro Shine. In the past I had to use one type of detail spray on my dark car to keep it from smearing. but not anymore.

I was turned on to the Ethos product line by a friend of mine and was hesitant to try as I had not heard much about the company. The first product I tried was the Ceramic wax and had great results. super easy to apply and remove with fantastic gloss and durability.

I am not a professional but a high level enthusiast that really enjoys paint correcting, polishing and waxing with my equipment. and in between cleaning is very important to me. this is where the Pro Shine is now my detail spray of choice.

Highly recommended.

I power wash/rinse the car. apply defy to clean then top it off with pro shine. I spray 1-2 squirts onto a towel, then wiped on. Like most ethos products, it disappears immediately. I still use a new towel to wipe dry the product off the car.

When using the 2nd dry towel, you will feel the smoothness. I even used it on the wheels and it shines as in the photo shows. There was water dripping from the side mirror and I can see that hydrophobic from this product.

Mothers Ultimate Hybrid Ceramic Detailer and Bead Booster is true to its name! It makes it easy to clear away dust and smudges, and also provides instant gloss! The bead booster provides extra protection, making it look like my camper and car were just coated.

In regards to usage, it’s really simple. Just spray it on generously and wipe it off with a rag. You can use it over your existing coatings such as other sealants and wax. It gives my car an incredible shine and repels dirt like no other! If you’re not thorough it can leave streaks.

However, you can even rinse your car after and wipe down, and it looks amazing! Overall, if you’re looking for a quality detailer that works fast I highly recommend checking this out! Make your car look great with little to no effort!.

I love this stuff for my truck. It’s super easy to use and goes on easily. I just use a microfiber towel to remove the excess and watch it shine like no other. Ive always used this brand for car cleaning products and I really can tell a difference.

This stuff is high quality and really brings out the best in my truck. Looks like a professional cleaned it. Stays looking good for several days even after weathering. We get a lot of rain where I live and I really think this stuff helps protect my vehicle against the elements.

I have been VERY impressed with this Mother’s ceramic detailer. I have a black SUV and have tried a few ceramic detailers and this is by far the best. What I really love about Mother’s is that it truly helps keep my car clean and shiny.

It does a very good job repelling dirt and dust helping my car stay looking clean longer. The use is easy. I found it’s not hard to get off and isn’t bad about streaking. Overall a very good product that will really make your vehicle shine and stay cleaner longer!.

I picked this up at Autozone after reading about it online. Looked interesting, so I bought a bottle and applied it to my wife’s minivan in late spring. What impressed me more than anything else was how this product absolutely REPELLED road grime and maintained its shine.

I sat out on my front porch throughout the summer looking down on that minivan, and it always looked like it had just been washed. It’s been eight months now, and the shine and dirt repelling properties are not showing any signs of giving out.

As recommended, I applied two coats, allowing the recommended curing time between treatments. I was so pleased with the results after the summer, I decided to use this ceramic spray on my Volvo C-30, and like the minivan, it continues to repel road grime and always looks like it’s just been washed.

I’ve never seen anything like it. I’ve been a Meguires fan-boy for 30 years, but this 3-in-1 has convinced me Girot’s has something special in this product. And what is it with that alien green color? It’s.

mysterious. One bottle was enough for two coats on the minivan and Volvo. It’s an easy-peasy spay-on/wipe off operation with a microfiber towel. Personally, I recommend washing first with a synthetic “clay bar” type sponge to provide a completely clean and smooth surface, then move it to a shady spot and hit it with this stuff to provide long-term protection.

Next spring, it’s going on the BMW. There may be other products out there that provide higher gloss, but I’ve never seen anything repel dirt like this, and the shine is still there after eight months.

Highly recommended, and worth giving a try.

I completely detoxed a metallic black BMW 650i coupe. I applied the ceramic spray as directed. At first I did not see the difference until I stepped back from the vehicle. Wow what a change the metallic paint came back to life and the deep color had a gloss shine like it came off the showroom Floor nine years ago.

My wife takes this for her hip pain and she swears by it. She has tried many other things but she has always gone right back to this. I guess that when you find something that works, well, you stay with it.

She recommends this product to all of her family and friends, and anyone else that will listen to her.

This is my second purchase of this product. I’ve been quite ill from a toxic reaction to a medication. Terry Naturally Curamed was highly recommended to me by several knowledgeable friends. After three weeks, I noticed that I was actually able to think more clearly–finally I began to feel much more awake than I had been.

Shortly thereafter, I could feel some energy beginning to return. This was the only thing I had added to my daily intake. One day, ONE DAY of taking the Terry Naturally Curamin and I STOPPED taking the Tylenol ! It’s been 3 months and I’ve taken maybe 2 Tylenol in that time span. Made a beliver out of me! Cost wise it’s probably cheaper to take the Tylenol but after shopping around I’ve found a couple of Ebayers that have pretty good pricing.

This is the third time I’ve used this polish and I am still impressed with the results. I used this 6 months ago on my landcruiser and it was still holding a shine and only needed a wash to getting back to looking good.

My car spends 80% of its time in the open, making Mothers ceramic polish all the more impressive. Its easy to apply than waxing and keeps the cruiser looking great for a lot longer. I will keep on using this untill I find something better.
