I bought this pot for my mom as a gift because a lot of our cultural foods are served with rice and she had a different one before but it was sort of falling apart. She was super happy with the product and she likes that there are multiple grain function buttons for her to use.

She also likes that it can hold 20 cups so she can make lots of rice when we have large family gatherings. Making rice has always been a chore for me to get it just right. I make a lot of stir-fry and getting the rice tender, but firm without being sticky/wet isn’t easy on the stove. This appliance makes it simple; put it in, turn it on, and forget about it.

I can also add some ingredients (like onion, carrot, etc) with the rice, and it comes out just right. I had two other rice cookers that I gave away because they just didn’t consistently make the rice the way I liked it, and were not easy to clean (the main reason).

This cooker is basically rinse and dry. Love it!.

Was initially put off by some of the reviews. Yes the vegetables steamer is too small (really is) but I found that I can steam (or cook) the vegetables in the main pot. Yes most programs are set (can’t change the time of cooking) but they set ones work very well and produce good food.

Just need to play with the amount of water added to the different types of rice (the quantities suggested by the manual do NOT work). Initially I thought the timer is ONLY for the delay-start function (read that everywhere) but actually the STEAMING time can be altered which is great.

Yes the condensed water/vapor can be a lot and falls on the table. I solved that by having a small towel put one of the sides and voila! No real issue. Overall, great product for the price.

Love this grain cooker! This pot cooks both long and short grain rice beautifully every time. This cooks other grains perfectly as well – millet, buckwheat. Not raw and not overdone. Just perfect, delicious.

It is so easy to use, I already ditched my electric one. I also used it to braise pork belly. It really makes my time spent in the kitchen more enjoyable. Would highly recommend this purchase!.

This is my first rice cooker. I didn’t know what to expect but I was tired of inconsistent results with rice cooked on the stove. It doesn’t reduce the cooking time but it is worry- and hassle-free. Just put in the appropriate rice and water amounts and wait for the button to pop up, letting you know it’s done.

Clean-up was easy too. *Be sure to use the measuring cup provided when measuring the rice.

I used this 1 time and it worked fine. I used it again and it went off after about 5-10 minutes. I had to start it again and worked another 5-10 minutes and it went off again! Checked the wall plug outlet and was ok.

I start it again and it worked but a beeping sound went on after 10-15 minutes I opened the cover and it had steam SO I left it about 20 more minutes checking it to see if rice was cooking. It looks like it is on and cooking.

After about 30 minutes I checked and it looks ok. I scraped the top with a fork and let it set about half hour or so. Now it’s well over an hour!!!!!!!! Top was KIND OF COOKED BUT, MIDDLE AND THE REST WERE NOT COOKED GOOD MUSHY AND HALF COOKED!!!! I ENDED UP CALLING A RESTAURANT AND BOUGHT COOKED RICE!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED.

This rice cooker makes my life so much easier I no longer have to scrub pots! The rice comes out perfect and I don’t need to add any oil! I feel like there’s not a better appliance than a rice cooker! The rice comes out fluffy and perfect every single time!.

I have a small kitchen and thus had to downsize from various cooking implements. In our home it’s only my spouse and I, and on occasion a friend may join us for dinner. I hated using a 10-cup rice cooker for 1 cup of rice.

Enter this tiny wonder. It cooks rice perfectly every time (so far). The delay timer is great for busy days –set it up in the morning and have warm fresh rice for dinner. I’ve not tried it for quinoa or oatmeal yet.

Easy to clean, small footprint on our counter. Only downside is it has no auto-off function so you must remember to unplug it. If we have more than 3 people for dinner we will need to pull out the instant pot but for regular use at our house it’s just right.

Oh and it’s adorable to boot!.

I bought this because I am the only one in the house who eats steel cut oatmeal and coarse ground grits (not together!), and making either one for just one person involves standing by the stove, stirring and watching over the pot, plus it is much more convenient to use for my small amounts than dragging out my big rice cooker.

Now I just measure the chosen grain, add water and a pinch of salt, select the proper setting, and push START. And while I open the lid to stir these particular grains a couple of times during cooking, I no longer have to keep a watchful eye on if the burner is set too high or too low, etc.

, all while watching the clock to time it just right. While I haven’t yet made rice in it because I have a large cooker to handle the large quantities I make all at once, I have no doubt that this cooker would handle the task nicely.

Cleanup is also a breeze with the pot, measuring cup and spatula being dishwasher safe (although the pot is so beautifully coated that washing by hand is fast and easy), and the lid venting component just pops off and on easily so the surfaces can be wiped clean and the sealing ring dried after each use.

I love it and would highly recommend it for one or two person households, although it could also work well for up to four people for smaller servings and no leftovers.

This gorgeous yellow rice cooker works perfectly! It has the same fuzzy logic technology that big name brand rice cookers use. It totally looks cute on my counter, so it gets to stay there instead of being hidden away in a cabinet! It cooks up the perfect amount of rice for 3 people.

It is so incredibly easy to use, I just love it! I highly recommend buying the rice cooker! Oh and my rice just pops easily out of the cooking pot! I use the rice scooper that comes with it and it hasn’t scratched the pot up.

We love this rice cooker, bought it specifically for the ceramic pot, I’m a Teflon, no-stick hater. The comments about the warmer function are true, the rice tends to get mushy. We do not let our rice warm all day, I generally unplug and fluff once the cooking cycle is done and the rice is perfect everytime.

This is an amazing product. Love it! The pot is ceramic and that alone is something. It cooks really well. In addition to being an excellent rice cooker (has settings for white and brown rice) it can cook pretty much everything from soups to stews.

Even with careful usage, non-stick coatings inevitably scratched on our past rice cooker pots. We feel more comfortable using something that doesn’t have any chemicals that could end up in our rice. So far the rice cooks evenly, the timer works well, and we are very satisfied with this ceramic rice cooker.

The price is very reasonable.

This is one of the most used and least expensive of all the kitchen gadgets we’ve bought. We use mostly jasmine rice, which only requires 2 or 3 rinses. Using the same bowl to rinse as to cook, it takes all of about 2 minutes to grab this cooker from the cabinet, measure out some rice, rinse the rice, and then push the button to get the party started.

My only complaint is that the embossed measurement lines are hard to read. So I have to put the bowl in the kitchen window above the sink and catch the light just right, to read the markers to make sure there’s enough water.

Or I grab a flashlight from a drawer. No big deal. Love the warming function. Get the rice started about 45 minutes ahead of time, and it will just sit patiently until you’re ready to scoop out some perfectly cooked rice.

Clean up is easy too! Love it.

Great little rice cooker and steamer especially for the Black Friday price of $15! Very easy to use and clean; worked perfectly. I’ve made rice as well as rice and steamed cod. The only flaw with this is the bowl sits a little loose in the heating portion.

Other reviews stating it overflows, spits water, etc. are novice users in my opinion. I’ve owned numerous rice cookers over the years and there are basic rules you follow. First, 1 cup of rice is not 1 US cup.

Either use the provided cup or use 3/4 US cup. Second, rinse your rice. I use a very fine strainer, put my rice in there and place it under running water. This removes the dust/flour on the rice and prevents it from foaming up when cooking.

Lastly, cooling rice is a 1 to 1 ratio of rice to liquid. Either fill the water to the correct level marker inside the bowl or use 3/4 US cup of you used 3/4 US cup of rice – don’t use 3/4 cup of rice and 1 US cup of rice!.

We are regular rice eater and had purchased and used many rice cookers before. Our children are gown and left so our many fancy rice cookers are too big for two now. This is the smallest one at a very reasonable price that I found.

I read the detail product description and the reviews. Most importantly, I read the low rating ones to see what the dissatisfaction were. It seem like that the complains were paying the price for a basic functional rice cooker but expecting higher price functionalities and they were not about bad construction or faulty electrical.

Understanding this is the first generation rice cooker that all Asian used and grew up with, so do not expect frill but functional and very durable (less buttons and programs to cause trouble) then you would be a very happy consumer.

The price of this rice cooker is cheaper than 40 years ago with inflation. How can you beat that value! I love it that we are back to basic. Cook perfect rice in 30 minutes. Brown rice and other rice just add a little bit more water and it would take a little longer.

The steamer is definitely a plus. I steam small piece of marinated meat or fish or reheating small portion of left over using a small plate inside the steamer so the juice would not drip through and mess up the rice.

I do not suggest to steam veggie and cook rice at the same time unless you like it that way.

I have been using this brand since the year of 2000, The rice cooker is excellent, keep rice warm and never spoiled and cooks very well. I used this Zojirushi rice cooker to cook white rice, mixed brown/berry/ white rice also to make porridge.

When I had my baby, I used this as well to make my homemade baby food with all kind of grains and cooked very well. My babies grew up with this product since they started to eat soft food. The rice cooker last super long since my last baby was born 2010 until now, I am still using the rice cooker and works very well.

I loved this brand, From rice cooker, the water warmer with auto boiling back then, the food storage warmer for their school lunches, bottle water.

Every Asian household have this rice cooker. My mom bought me this exact rice cooker as a housewarming gift over 14 years ago. Guess what? It’s still working! I love it! The only thing is, after so many years of using it, the inner pot coating on the inside is coming off so I had to order a replacement inner pot.

I’m glad we can still order parts for this model.

I got this as a replacement for the same model that had a hard working life for over 40 years! The design, seal and perfect rice every time ability made me quickly look up the same model to buy a new one.

And they had a Hello Kitty version which is understated but causes a smile every time I use it.

Hi every one. I m a fan of Rice eater since childhood. Like everyone else in the world. Disregard where, and who people are coming from, and racist. If u are a fan just like me love rice. I strongly recommend this product.

Needless to say. I had this Tiger brand rice cooker for 30 yrs. without of the problem. I did replace a new brand. it was Zojirushi. Man, I can tell you. they are both good brands. Just like comparing Mercedes cars and BMW.

I chose Tiger because Zojishuri manufactory had expanded in Shanghai China so the price could be cheaper. but copy right from China and a different name. So please, any buyer needs to be careful when u decided to buy.

And make sure the product is print in the front of the unit. (Made in Japan) from Osaka Japan It is a good product and famous in the decade. And also look at the flower design from the outside of the unit to make sure it is the same print and from Japan.

The one made from China had a different design flower. Searcing on google to see who can carry them at a good price. Do research for yourself and good luck. Strongly recommended. I just bought 4 more units yesterday.

Meanwhile, I did purchase 4 Units in 2017 for all my family members as a Christmas gift. The price increased every year, because of the economy and taxes. So if you love what u want to have. I would buy 2 units for future references.

I love my Tiger Rice Cooker. We are asian. We always have rice cookers in our home. This one is perfect size for our family. We like to have rice for a few days kept warm. This one said 12 hours so I was a little apprehensive about it.

But it was cute and a great price so we tried it anyways. It lasts about 3 days. It stays fresh until that third day. This is perfect.

Love this rice cooker! I don’t think this is as easy as the fancy ones where you select your grain. But it’s not complicated! When I first got it the cooker would not turn on but I think I got water in the under the inner pot.

After letting that dry out it works great! I struggled with brown rice. It says you need to add more water but then it was over cooked. Tried it with white rice and it turned out perfect! First time in my life I have made perfect rice.

Some people mentioned it boiling over which I haven’t noticed. I’m thinking that happens when the rice isn’t washed enough. I go a little crazy with the washing because of the smell and I don’t like gummy rice.

Trying sushi rice next. Love that the inner pot is no stick. So easy to clean. You can even stick in dishwasher. LOVE!!.

This has made life so much easier! I never had a rice cooker before and it is SO easy. I am normally terrible at cooking rice but this helps a lot! It is easy to clean and so simple to use!

I wouldn’t even rate it one star. I haven’t seen such a worst quality item in the recent past. On the first day of use, the lid accidentally dropped from my hand on a wooden floor and it broke like a mirror falling on a stone(over hundred pieces, attached the picture).

I have never made rice successfully on the stove. I am a seasoned cook, however my stovetop rice comes out dry, undercooked or not right. I have had a $10 generic rice cooker for awhile (love it, it makes decent rice but was needing a replacement), and then I invested in this rice cooker and will never look back.

Admittedly I was confused by the instructions at first. But it is actually easy. You rinse your rice (recommended-I have cooked with and without rinsing and now feel rinsing is the better choice!). Measure it into the pot, and add your water to the line inside.

The lines are marked for whatever you are cooking. This rice cooker has different settings for sushi rice, brown rice, long grain, mixed rice (basically this is any rice with mix ins or added ingredients), and steel cut oatmeal.

What you are cooking means a different measure on the inside line(s) and a different button you press on the machine. My rice has come out perfectly, every time. I have made steel cut oats and steamed veggies (separately!) and was super happy with the results.

I like that this cooker plays little melodies when starting and finishing. It simply makes me smile! This cooks a lot of rice if you need it to. and also does well in smaller quantities. It does take a considerable amount of time to cook rice so you need to plan ahead.

It will display on the front the time needed (which can start rather high but as it cooks it will readjust (so 33 minutes left may quickly drop as it readjusts). This was confusing to me at first but now am impressed with how it monitors the cooking times accordingly! I have found it easy to clean.

You do have to remove the top lid from the cooker which detaches and attaches pretty easily. Easy to store and it looks nice! I recommend this rice cooker. I am super pleased with it and all its functions!.

It’s interesting because most people say a rice cooker is a rice cooker. I cook a lot of rice and this is not your average rice cooker. The taste of the rice is cooked is phenomenal! I really didn’t think a rice cooker could alter the taste or quality of it! I’ve used a lot of rice cookers and this is by far the best! Previously, I used the Insta Pot for cooking rice.

While it’s fast at cooking the rice, you must take the lid off a certain way or all the water that’s built up during cooking, goes directly in the pot making the rice very soggy and mushy. I don’t like soggy or mushy rice like the constancy of porridge.

They need to come up with a much better design! This rice cooker is great because I can wash it and either cook it right away or set up a time to have it start cooking. A lot of rice cooker s that have rice still in the pot to keep warm gets crusty and hard on the bottom and it’s hard to wash out.

Not this!! The coating in the pot is fantastic because I don’t have to scrub it because I let it stay heated up. The rice paddle that comes with it is fantastic as well! After I’m done with my rice, I sometimes let it sit with water and soap before cleaning it out.

However with this coating, you don’t have to soak it and there’s literally no scrubbing needed. I don’t put mine in the dishwasher only because I want to preserve the coating a lot longer so I’m not sure how it fares in the dishwasher.

I do know that you can’t use any silverware or metal in the pot because it will scratch the coating. However, even minor abrasions don’t effect the rice sticking inside it. There’s no water container that collects the steam to empty out, which is great.

One less thing to clean makes life easier! Yes, I’m lazy! Inside the lid, the thing attached to the top comes off for easy cleaning or throwing in the dishwasher to get rid off the rice residue. The downside is that it does take an hour for the rice to cook.

I know that their are other rice cookers that cook much faster however, the taste and quality after the wait is awesome! This rice cooker is nice because it plays a little tune when the rice starts to cook and a tune when it’s done letting you know it’s chow time so you don’t have to keep checking to see if it’s done.

I haven’t used the steamer basket that comes with the cooker, so I can’t give it a review. One definite thing that I love bout this rice cooker is that the power cord retracts to your power cord is all jumbled up or bending so it makes it easy and fast to put away and it looks neat and not messy.

It’s a bit bulky only because it’s not in a pot shape but more of a rectangle. The other downside is that it’s not cheap for a rice cooker as it’s made in Japan and imported to the US however, the electrical plug is a US based plug, so no power converter is needed.

Over all, I’m really glad I bout this rice cooker! The quality of the cooker shows. So if you’re in the market for a really really good rice cooker that taste fantastic and you don’t need to scrub it after it’s done cooking and you can afford it, this is definitely the best rice cooker!.

I received the Micom Rice Cooker and Warmer. I have never owned or tried a rice cooker before so I was excited to try this out. We usually only buy the easy microwaveable white rice but enjoy Asian food, especially sticky rice.

This cooker holds up to 5. 5 cups of rice, quinoa, or steel cut oatmeal. It has different settings where you can cook different types of grains with just the touch of a button. I also love how the design is compact and sleek- I can just leave it on my kitchen counter and the cord is retractable.

It also comes with a measuring cup, rice paddle and holder. It’s also extremely easy to clean. The first day I got it, I was able to make the perfect sticky rice in just under 30 minutes. The second time I went to make rice the same way as I did the first, it didn’t come out quite as right, it seemed to have left a lot of the liquid.

The third time I used it the same way I ended up getting an error code saying the lid was too hot and had to cool down. For reference- if you get an error code you can use the manual to look up what it means.

This rice cooker not only cooks different types of grains but it will also steam vegetables and it does that job quite well. Overall, I think this is a great product that’s easy to use. I have ran into a couple of problems with cooking in it but I think maybe it’s just some quirks I have to work out.

Wish I had had this the past two decades. Rice is very difficult to steam well. Even Japanese struggled with. Post- WW2 engineers cracked the rice steamer code and for good rice all should have!!!

Be sure to place a paper towel or a dishcloth over the vent hole, or you will be cleaning up for awhile. This is definitely a decent rice maker, and ideal for 2-3 people.

Look it does what it does and it keeps doing it… I will probably wear it out because I use it almost every day

This is so easy to use. Put in what you want and 10 minutes later, you’re eating. I will be looking for a larger one for holiday dinners!

My family has owned Zojirushi brand rice cookers and other small kitchen appliances since I can remember. When I moved to my own place and started my own journey, the first kitchen appliance I bought was a made in Japan – Zojirushi rice cooker.

I recall, I had to search for it in different big box stores and specialty stores. I tell you, these rice cookers last for years, and we use ours every day. I have tried other brands thru the years, including other rice cookers and multi cookers, but they did not perform as well as the Zojirushi brand rice cookers.

The rice did not cook as consistently or kept the rice warm and fresh and as good compared with the Zojirushi. I am never disappointed with my Zojirushi appliances. This is my first Zojirushi – Micom Rice Cooker & Warmer of this style, I have always owned the round single function one button, “press to cook/warm, pops up when done”, which I love, especially, when we cook rice every day.

This model did not disappoint. It offers a few other settings to cook other grains, but for our use, it’s mostly set in one function. The “upgrades” on having more settings was unnecessary for the use it’s intended in my home, however, I love the shape and style.

I own at least 3 other of the latest multi-cooker appliances, and I tried cooking rice with them, the results were just not the same.

This is my third Zo rice cooker, the first Micon choice. I gave my first fuzzy logic cooker (still working) to my daughter when I bought a larger one. Then I bought this one for our RV. I live in a high altitude place and I absolutely HATE trying to make rice without a cooker.

It’s always a trial. This cooker makes it easy and fool proof. It’s not fast, but with a little planning, one doesn’t have to babysit the stove when trying to cook rice. You just set it, and forget it.

I use a lot of brown rice, so I use the GABA setting almost predominantly. Brown rice cooks perfectly! I chose this model for not only the standard GABA setting, but to try the congee and quinoa settings.

You do need to follow the tips, but once you get those down, it’s easy to make perfect rice and grains. As an aside, I never thought about the internal battery for the display until I was comparing this brand to another, and the other brand had longevity issues on the battery.

I would be EXTREMELY put out if I had to buy another rice maker just because the display battery died and there was no way to replace it. SO far, fingers crossed, NONE of my batteries have had issues.

The one I gave my daughter is going on 10 years.

This is the best rice cooker I have ever owned. The Zojirushi brand is the best on the market so the commitment to spend the extra money for this investment in a rice cooker was worth it. Although, it is a little bit bulkier than I expected, it’s this particular model that I really liked because it has smart & intuitive cooking features with it.

That means that the heating of the food can be adjusted as the rice is cooking. This allows for perfect rice every time. Based on the reviews the quality of this device is strong and durable. Also with the handles it allows you to pick up the rice cooker to remove from its base in order to wash the rice or even clean the cylinder itself.

This is a great product and I hope that it lasts the test of time. I really hope it does because I would love to keep this for the long-haul.

I have the Zojirushi Neuro Fuzzy Rice Cooker, 5. 5-Cup, Premium White model. I have only used this to make white rice. I really like the fact that it has a separate cup (green) and cook feature for the “pre-washed” rice.

I trusted that “no washing required” meant no washing required, and it’s true! Just scoop in the rice, add the water (exactly to the line) and cook. The rice comes out perfect every time. No brown spots, no hard grains, no slime.

If you have time, make sure to ‘fluff’ the rice when the timer goes off, and then let it sit a bit before serving. For cleanup, If you let the pot completely cool, the leftover rice and sticky film (called ‘rice lace’) can be wiped out of the pot with a paper towel or cloth.

This prevents you from dealing with the sticky rice sticking to your sponge and hands, and going down your drain (which is really bad for your pipe).

I was really excited for this rice cooker, but unfortunately it has not performed like I wanted it to. I have been making jasmine rice in the cooker according to the directions it came with using the rice cup that it came with using jasmine rice (1.

25 cups of water per cup of rice), and it’s been giving me mushy rice. I’ve tried it on the regular white rice setting and quick cook setting, and it’s been mushy on both settings. The last time I made rice, I used 2 regular cups (not using the rice cup) of jasmine rice and filled the water to the 2 line, and it came out better but a little dry.

I will keep experimenting with it, and hopefully I can find the right ratio of jasmine rice to water. I’m just disappointed that it’s been this difficult to make good rice with my zoji.

Using correct settings based on food to cook, amount of liquid used, and following cook times, dishes have turned out perfectly — steamed couscous, quinoa, rice, risotto, creamy grits, oatmeal, and malted hot cereal.

For oatmeal, reduced liquid a bit to avoid any splattering. Broccoli, corn, carrots and potatoes steamed with just-right texture. Used Heat/Simmer setting for creamy, slow-cooked beans, soups and stews.

Steamed fresh chicken breasts, fish, and shrimp on White Rice setting and both were very tender. Made great pasta dishes – noodles and creamy mac and cheese. Experimented with boiled eggs and yolks came out to perfection.

Poached fruit and apple sauce came out great. Baked a creamy cheesecake, as well as moist, tender chocolate lava cake, and upside-down cake. Even proofed dough and baked fluffy honey-butter pull-apart bread.

Cons – Features No see-through lid in this model. Cooking pot is very light-weight; unsure how durable non-stick coating is over long-term. Steamer basket rests on lip of cook pot, but no type of small, inner collapsible handles to remove basket from cook pot while water is still hot.

Haven’t had this very long so haven’t tried different recipes I would like to. I tried rice (I use basmati rice) and it turned out OK same as stove top. On the plus side I didn’t have to worry about it cooking too long like on the stove if I didn’t hear timer and didn’t get the burner shut off as the rice cooker will switch to “warm”.

I only cooked one Rice Measuring Cup for two people. Oatmeal came out fine – I like it better then on the stove or the microwave. I won’t be putting the “cooking pot” in the dishwasher – it looks like it is aluminum and aluminum changes color – oxidizes with dishwasher detergent (oxidation can be removed using “Brillo” pads but that’s a hassle).

This is a handicap for easy cleaning when you have to do a part by hand. The pictured care and cleaning directions are awful – no 2 shows pulling the condenser collector but I can not get it to come off.

Finally went to other reviews and someone mentioned the hing so I looked on the back and there it was! Doesn’t look anything like the picture in the manual. It is not easy to take off – poor design. Plus others have reviewed it has broken and there is no replacement part (!!) for it.

Seems to me Hamilton beach should have replacement for a part that breaks with normal use. It was shipped to me in the rice cooker box – no outer cardboard box. The Styrofoam was broken so I was worried it would not work.

Fortunately there were no dings to the unit. All said I am looking forward to trying other foods in the rice cooker. Especially steamed foods. I can think of quite a few I want to do – spinach, shrimp etc.

My rice lifesaver!!! I have never been able to successfully make a pot of rice on the stove and after many years of trying and failing, I purchased this baby and my rice woes were over! This baby makes the best rice you could want.

Comes out perfect every single time. Oddly enough, my daughter now uses it more than me because I started making my rice in the oven and I love it so much, I barely grab this anymore! Still a jewel to have!.

I’ve owned many rice cookers and this is my favorite so far. It rivals the expensive Asian rice cookers for a fraction of the price. Cooks rice in about 20-25 minutes. Non-stick on the inside and it’s heavy-duty and durable.

Don’t use metal against the inside pot or you might damage the non-stick surface. Ease of clean up is a must because rice cookers tend to collect built up starch that is hard to get to. I wipe it down and clean it every time I use it to ensure longevity of the product.

Take care of your rice cooker and you’ll have it for years.

First, I would like to say that I wish the rating system allowed for 4 and 1/2, or even 3/4 stars, as 4 stars is just a bit lower than my positive opinion of this product. It is a very nice, compact unit, which will compliment any kitchen with its versatility.

I have used every setting multiple times since purchase and have come up with a few tricks that make it even more versatile than advertised but at the same time, unfortunately exposing a few of its shortcomings.

Starting with the steam basket, it is a nice idea and works quite well with broccoli or cauliflower florets but due to the size of the holes, it isn’t much good for peas or anything smaller. It is also very difficult to remove when hot, as its very thin edge sits flush on the top of the pot.

How difficult would it have been to build in some type of finger grip and to add a second steam basket with smaller holes? I would gladly trade the two plastic spoons that come with the unit for a second, better designed, steam basket? Having said this, I still strongly recommend this product, its minor failings are exponentially outweighed by how easy it is to use and the numerous things it can do.

I’ve owned this for 14 months and did not use it every week. Perhaps 1-2 times a month. It cooked brown rice beautifully. Earlier this week I prepared a ten grain mix in it using the Rice function. It took a long time to cook and perhaps it got too hot.

Today it would not turn on. I suspect the temperature fuse blew. As I live in a small town I’ll be hard pressed to find a repair person for this. We checked the electrical outlet and that was not the problem.

I cannot recommend this product because it is not built to last. I paid over $100 for this and even though the price has dropped I will not buy another one.

I’d like this model rice cooker. I used it before. It is very good product. This one for the replacement the old one. But, I don’t use it yet, With this model I think It is okay for me. Thank you for a good deal.

So far so good! It’s a nice looking unit and is easy to use in all the auto modes and if wanting to adjust it has manual functions also! make it easy to tweet your setting if needed but I haven’t needed to because it makes awesome white rice and it makes perfect sweet sticky rice.

yum! I’ve used my unit to steam kabocha and couldn’t ask for better. really. the unit is also easy to clean! honestly can’t complain about the unit and think it was worth every penny and I really can’t tell the difference between this unit and the much more expensive IH units.

the unit takes 60min to cook rice but it’s well worth the wait. tender and has good texture!.

Perfect white rice, brown rice, sushi rice and oatmeal. Timer delay has it ready when you want it and keeps it warm til you need it and goes from keep warm to reheat if needed. Beats my Aroma 9 ways to Sunday.
