20 Best Ceramic Travel Mug (2022 Updated)

Overall this is a nice mug. Pretty well made. Fits in my cup holder with easy. Unfortunately, I have found 2 issues. The first issue is that it doesn’t keep your coffee warm/hot any longer that a regular coffee cup/mug, you you’ll have to drink it fast or reheat.

Second, although the majority of the lid feels pretty sturdy, the button you use to move back and forth is very flimsy and does not create any kind of a seal when closed. If you tip this cup over, it will 100% slip.

I had this mug for several years. And I loved it. Good size. Kept coffee warm. And could be reheated in the microwave. Then my 2 year old grandson broke it. I was excited that I could order the exact mug that got broken.

I took this travel mug with me to Mexico but dropped it on a tile floor and it shattered. I couldn’t find one that was near as nice as this one in Mexico. So I ordered another when I got back home. To me the biggest benefit is it not having a metal liner, so it can be reheated in the microwave as necessary.

bought for my granddaughter that cannot get enough Harry Potter! The mug was an unusual gift that she could use. It is high quality than I expected. Great deal for the price!

I bought this as a tea mug and I it does the job nicely. The bottom doesn’t skid and the lid is fairly simple but stays in the mug great. The mug does get hot when you pour liquids in so I highly suggest you stick with using the handle.

Some of my travel mugs do not get hot with hot beverages but this one does. I still love it.

My son loved this. It was his favorite Christmas gift. He sends me text all the time. I love this cup and it is a perfect size for his Keurig. Great gift.

I bought a number of these as gifts for my girlfriends on our annual girl’s weekend. These mugs are so much more beautiful in person! My friends ooooh-ed and aaah-ed! The colors are iridescent and nuanced; they really pop.

These mugs are not fragile or delicate. Although they came to me wrapped in layers of protective material, these mugs are substantial. I was proud to gift them!.

Son’s 19yo girlfriend is a coffee fiend. She appreciated this mug and uses it everyday. Lovely box it comes in doubles as a storage box for hot tea….could put anything in it.

Super cute! I’m not a coffee drinker, but I use it for my hot chocolate and hot tea at work. Keeps my drink warm when I’m not at my desk for a short while. I love the design of the lid because I can manage to not get lipstick/lipgloss all over it when I take a sip! Easy to clean too!.

I like that it’s a nice design and has a sturdy secure top. The only drawbacks are that you can’t place it in the microwave and you need to hand wash. It is dishwasher safe, it tends to fade the design if I place it in the dishwasher.

I love leopard and when I saw this mug in gold I couldn’t resist!! Great for my morning commute and get so many compliments from coworkers and friends! I love the size

Perfect mug to fill first thing in the morning and refill all day. Perfect at home, in my car, desk at office, back in car, back home. The cap is fantastic. Included silicon sleeve is a must so your favorite mug doesn’t slip out of your hand.

It’s snug, and seems like it will last for a good while. \n\nJust one complaint about the lid: to provide space for its two wide rubber seals, the lid is inserted about 1″ into the mug. The seals work really well, but you need to leave extra room in the mug for it.

These mugs are AMAZING! So beautifully crafted, they fit perfectly in your hand (and your cup holder), and are dishwasher safe on the top rack (a big big bonus for me). I originally found one at an art festival in Asheville, and after using it for one week I bought 2 more here for my mom and aunt.

Worth every penny!.

it’s really cute, but the cap is temperamental. you gotta have the silicon gasket on in the right direction, it’s gotta stay in the groove in the cap as you push the cap down to seat it on. Anything less and it’s dribbling down your chin.

Once the lid is in the right place, it’s super snug and water tight but it’s also quite stubbornly stuck in position. it’s also just a shade smaller than I’d like for my morning tea. but still cute. and if I get it right, the tea stays in the cup while on the go.

LOVE. I drink tea every morning and only will drink from ceramic. It’s hard to find ceramic travel mug that is of a good size with a good lid…. this is it! Great purchase

Was really hoping to like this. Unfortunately there are several design flaws that make this practically unusable. First of all, even with the anti-splash filter, there is a significant chance for leaks.

In the first day of using it I spilled boiling hot coffee on myself/clothes/floor three times. I still have burns on my forearm from it. When it comes to drinking from it there’s design flaws as well.

Having fluid go through a narrow neck and then into a wider lip leads there to be a dam effect so you keep changing the angle waiting for a small sip to come and then BAM a huge amount of coffee pours out and given how wide the lip is you are inundated with coffee.

I don’t have a small mouth by any means and would almost always have coffee running down the sides of my mouth with each sip. Not a smooth and intuitive design like most of fellow products. I feel like this was an attempt to try and find the holy grail of coffee mug tops.

One in which you allow aroma to escape (really the source of flavor of coffee and the reason to buy fancy beans/grinders/brewing devices) while still allow for safe travels. But it fails in the most important aspects of what a lid should do.

Sacrificing safety and convenience. I would hope that this goes back to the drawing board. Honestly I don’t think this is even safe to sell at this point.

3. 5 stars. Outside touch and feel is great. Really does make coffee taste better than other mugs I’ve owned. Needs a larger size (20oz? 24oz?). Thermos is just ok. Can’t keep hot from morning to afternoon.

Maybe 3-4 hours max before hot turns to warm or less. Splash guard is nice/bad. Nice when it’s installed and it does help. Bad because I hate the plastic screw pieces in the center. Their inferior build quality and touch compared to everything else on this mug is so much less.

Plus the whole splash guard is a pain to disassemble and wash by hand. Also, lost product placement/marketing opportunity. If you’re going to have a special ceramic interior mug that doesn’t lend itself to metal spoons due to scratching the ceramic service, where is the Fellow Carter Strr Stick made out of non-scratch silicon or the like? Then, to really turn this up to 11 (or go from 3.

5 stars to 5), add some smart features like support for Apples Find My or AirTag like functionality built-in to better locate your mug on your smartphone when you leave it behind somewhere. Make it 100% chargeable via wireless, so no risk of adding external charging ports to worry about getting wet or damaging due to the constant use of drinking from said mug, or washing said mug after use.

Nobody likes those flappy rubber things to cover USB ports to help seal them off. Or worse case, have a built in watch battery style compartment that could power the smart tracking functionality. Overall the Carter Move Mug is good, but not yet great.

It’s a solid start.

Conceptually I was quite interested in this lid, but the reality of experience is far away from that of the Carter’s normal drinking experience. I am really disappointed. Positives: + The magnets in the cap have a satisfying self-locating snap.

Very nice. + Easy to clean + Appearance of the lid is high quality Missed opportunities: – The “mouth feel” of the lid is really a step down from the lip of the Carter. The profile of the lip seems to be a hard square edge and it frankly is no good (comparatively).

– The slots that allow liquid to pass beneath the magnetic cap need to be larger or more numerous. The flow is uneven and has ended up flowing more on one side of my mouth than the other which has led to coffee on my shirt a couple times.

I have not had that issue with the regular Carter. The Carter’s drinking experience is modeled after that of a wine glass and I’ve become accustomed to that really elevated drinking experience. The 360° Sip Lid is a nice expansion to the functionality of the mug but a downgrade in drinking performance.

While I am an ardent Fellow Products supporter, I cannot recommend this lid.

Thick ceramic beaker that will keep contents hot for longer, easy to grip without burning my hand and holds a decent amount of beverage. The silicone lid also grips on well and does not spill. The bonus is it is pretty too and easy to clean with no staining on the ceramic.

Absolutely adorable, ceramic so be careful and don’t drop it, good size though wouldn’t mind a bit more capacity, it live it, sparkles stuck well so nil flaking.

Great mug. Keeps drinks warm and makes you the envy of the feline world.

I often buy mugs from Cypress Home, and this is the first time I’ve been disappointed. The graphic is clumsy, ugly even, not as well drawn as the pics would indicate. I literally went every time I look at it.

Will be returning it. I gave it three stars because it is presumably functional, but that’s it.

I have purchased several of these mugs and I love all of them. Well made, very sturdy, the art work is nicely done and they come in a very sturdy gift box that you may use for storage. I have bought mugs before that have a tiny hole on the bottom which gets water inside the walls of the mug when you wash it that is almost impossible to remove.

These mugs DO NOT have it so you can wash them without any issues.

I bought 2 travel mugs with bird decorations. Each one featured beautiful red cardinals. The boxes were a great presentation for the mugs. I am very happy with them. They are for my 2 granddaughters who are teenagers and I know they will love them as I do.

I broke my favorite cup. the Perk Me Up. but have it on order and hope to get soon. the colors just match my kitchen. But I am becoming fond of this. Paris mug. it just makes you want to sit back, relax, and enjoy your coffee.

It came beautifully packaged in a box decorated with the hedgehog artwork. It retains heat well and the lid seals tight and has a slide to close off the lid to prevent spills. Perfect for a gift or for yourself.

I got one of these from a hospital gift shop awhile back and it got shattered. I was so devastated and looked everywhere for a replacement. I saw it on Zulily for cheaper than what I bought it for originally and didn’t think twice.

It’s a perfect size, keeps my drinks at a drinkable temperature, and if it gets too cold, it’s microwavable! I use it everyday.

I bought this a couple weeks ago and was even more excited about it when i saw it! I prefer to drink my coffee out of a ceramic mug and not a metal or plastic one. It is not insulated but it has a spill proof cover to take on the road.

May not seem like a big deal, but this mug is shown with a decretive box, assuming it comes in that box. IT DOES NOT. It comes in an ugly brown box. I purchased 5 for my all the moms in my life. Now I have to go find a nice bag or wrapping due to this misleading photo.

Recently purchased a love seat that has a center console to hold drinks. We love sipping coffee/tea while watching tv or reading, but the cup holders do not accommodate a mug w/ a handle. So ordered this ceramic travel mug to solve the problem and it fits perfectly.

Was afraid the silicone cover might leak while drinking. but it does not! Works perfectly. This mug keeps the drink very hot, so be careful! In my situation I really do not even need the cover and it is much nicer to sip out of than an acrylic type would be.

And as a bonus, it’s pretty and goes with the colors in my decor.

Beautiful design. Note that the cup only holds 1 cup of liquid maximum and the lid smells. Lid is like a flexible rubber. I did not notice the smell at first but if you get your nose up to it, it smells like burnt rubber.

I don’t use this for drinking. It’s a little to heavy to carry around while shopping. It’s the perfect size to use as a vase for your holiday table. It’s large enough for a sizable bouquet but small enough to not block the view of the person sitting across from you at the table.

This mug is just lovely. I have converted it into a water glass to keep on my kitchen counter to take my medication (no cover). It is sure to receive compliments. Gets pretty hot in the microwave with coffee or tea in it so that is why I am using it for water.

I assume it cools down after a bit. It would be nice if it had a “ring” for outside of the mug to keep it comfortable to the touch. I have many pieces in Winterberry pattern, and they are all just stunning.

I have had my eye on this for several months. I finally just purchased it for myself as a just because present. I have gotten so many compliments on it so of course I shared where a bought it from. Thank you for having such beautiful and unique gifts in your shop.

I stopped by Hallmark to purchase a card for our 30th anniversary and stumble upon this well-designed mug. I had to purchase not one but two they were so nice. I purchased one for my neighbor and she loves her mug.

She told me that it’s her favorite and no one can drink from it.

I would give this a 5 star BUT The only thing I do not like is that you cannot microwave the mug. As the gold writing will spark and blow up your microwave. Its a high quality mug that the lid fits exact.

Nice for cold drinks.

I ordered this because I thought it was cute and it had good reviews, but honestly, I was a little worried that it wouldn’t be big enough or that I wouldn’t care for it. In fact: it has instantly become my favorite, go-to mug!!! I have literally used it since I took it out of the box! I just keep hand washing it so I can use it again because waiting for it to cycle through the dishwasher would be too long.

LOL! I love that there’s no handle. I use it at home, but I can also grab it if I’m running the kiddo to school or something. The lid is LEGIT! It’s not one of those flimsy, rubbery-smelling ones that barely stays on.

Once you put it on, it’s good to go! I just don’t have enough room to list off all the things I love about this perfect lil mug! I hope Grove makes more designs!!.

I love this for my coffee. However, the silicone band gets very hot with my coffee. I add a Freakers brand reusable Slippy around the mug in order to help keep in the heat and to protect my fingers. The lid keeps spills away.

I personally do not find it difficult to drink with the lid on. The design is very beautiful. It’s thick ceramic and I hope it lasts me years. I only handwash it.

When first received thought it was small but to my surprise it holds 12oz. Like the idea behind this reusable mug but think it could use more fine tuning. The band isn’t wide enough to shield your hand from the hot mug.

The top didn’t fall off but didn’t give a sense that it was on tight. Takes a bit to get the hang of getting the mouthpiece cover to close. Was a bit too short for my car, had to get it out of the cup holder grabbing it from the top instead of the side which made me worry about the lid falling off.
