20 Best Cerave For Acne (2022 Updated)

I use this twice a day, morning and evening. I have sensitive skin, and it doesn’t irritate my face or dry it out at all. My face actually feels softer after I use it. I’ve never had a cleanser do that for me before.

I think CeraVe is just a great brand over all. I like that they focus on creating products that strengthen your skin’s protective barrier and that hydrate it. That protects you against free radical damage, not aging well, all kinds of stuff.

I’ve never been disappointed in any of their products that I’ve tried. I’ve read in many skincare articles that it’s important to have salicylic acid as part of your routine because of its exfoliating ability.

I’m an acne sufferer, so I make sure I take advantage of it. I’ve compiled a great regimen for myself. In the morning, I use this cleanser, then The Ordinary’s niacinamide and zinc serum, followed by CeraVe’s daily moisturizer.

At night, I use this cleanser again, followed by that same moisturizer and then Good Molecules backuchiol oil blend for oily skin and Good Molecules rosehip seed oil. Those products together have reduced my acne drastically.

I’m making this cleanser a permanent part of my skincare routine.

I’ve used the SA cleanser, the hydrating cleanser, and the cream to foam cleanser from CeraVe and this is by far my favorite. For some reason the SA and cream to foam cleanser irritated my skin quite a bit and the hydrating cleanser made me feel like my face wasn’t all that clean and fresh.

This has been the perfect in between. I don’t get a lot of acne but do break out every once in a while and this cleanser definitely helps prevent that. I still get the occasional pimple but they’re tiny and don’t last long.

I have sensitive skin mostly on my cheeks and this cleanser does not cause more redness and irritation for me. I actually don’t even cleanse twice a day with this normally. I shower at night and cleanse and follow up with the CeraVe moisturizing lotion and my skin holds up well throughout the next day even in the more oily areas of my face.

Went through a time period with this cleanser where it was extremely hard to find but haven’t had issues finding it since then thankfully.

I have dry skin with large pores. I know, I’m an enigma. Now that I’m in my thirties I don’t get acne blemishes, but blackheads are the bane of my existence. I’ve found that the cleansers engineered to combat blackheads are too harsh on my delicate skin, making my skin peel.

So far, my skin has been clear with no dry patches. It’s so moisturizing it’s as if you don’t NEED a moisturizer. I said almost. ALWAYS MOISTURIZE. For an extra oomph for my greasy teenaged bro, we add dermalogica’s micro exfoliant and I’ll use the micro-exfoliant once or twice a week after a hard work out.

Something used by the whole family while staying in budget. Love.

Since I’ve gotten into the world of skincare, sampling new skincare products is one of my absolute favorite things to do. It’s one of the first things that I do when I wake up in the morning. I’ve sampled TONS of products by a lot of different brands now.

A “drugstore” brand that I have definitely been really impressed by, is CeraVe. The more products of theirs that I use, the more that I like the brand. Recently I’ve really been struggling with some pretty bad acne on my chin and around my mouth, so when I found a sample of their Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser I was relieved.

In the short amount of time that I’ve been using this cleanser, it’s been helping to clear up my face quite a bit. Now, although this is called a “foaming” cleanser, I’ve found that it doesn’t really foam up that much.

Nor was it that “creamy” either. It has more of a regular face wash consistency, or like hand soap, and seems to lather a little like soap in your hands. This doesn’t mean that it doesn’t work though.

It contains 4% Benzoyl Peroxide, so it has really helped to clear up my acne. When I say acne, I must clarify too, that I mean multiple, multiple, huge, painful, red spots all along my chin and around my mouth.

There were also a few regular pimples as well that are all but cleared up with only a few uses. Surprisingly, this cleanser made my skin feel very soft. It did not dry out my skin like a lot of other acne cleansers can tend to.

My skin also feels much smoother and perfectly balanced. It does not feel greasy or oily during the day. My face felt calm and soothed after using it, also a surprising feeling to have after using an acne wash.

my dermatologist recommended this to me (that’s how u know it’s good lol). i have hormonal cystic acne, redness and dryness prone skin. my skin is very sensitive from doing topical retinoids in the past, so there’s not a whole lot that doesn’t irritate my skin.

ESPECIALLY acne-geared products. a lot are way too harsh for my skin; but obvi integral to my skincare routine to help w the cystic hormonal acne. i find that this is the only acne wash that doesn’t irritate my skin or make it feel overly dry.

i feel like my skin is never flakey after using like w other benzoyl peroxide products. surprisingly very gentle and while my acne is, again, hormone related as opposed to external factors; so it doesn’t make it magically all go away and it’s not like i never get additional acne.

but i would say 100% this helps keep it at bay and improves acne that i already have. i would say if u have acne prone skin you’ll probably want some sort of topical to use in addition to this, bc yes it does work very well for what it is AND the price point, but like i said it’s not gonna be a cure-all (more than likely, obvi everyone’s skin is diff).

i will say i can’t use this every day though. it’s more of a twice or three times a week type cleanser (for me anyways!), otherwise it would dry out my skin. also i get body acne and i sometimes use this as a body wash as well and find that it works wonders for that too.

makes both your face and body skin feel soft and cleansed without the tightness or feeling like your skin is stripped. just purchased my third bottle, would def say this is a staple in my skincare routine,.

This stuff actually works! I’ll preface this review by saying I have suffered with acne off and on since my teens. Closed comedones, whiteheads and blackheads. This stuff is a literal dream! I always have a bad reaction to SA and I think that may be an issue for a lot of people who think a face wash doesn’t work or breaks them out worse.

This has benzoyl peroxide at a whopping 4% which is higher than any other OTC wash. A little goes a long way. I’ve been suffering from a breakout and bad reaction to another wash and moisturizer so I scoured the web and Influenster looking for something that would work for me.

I took a chance and bought this. I’m speechless. I washed my face mid day, and that evening I looked in the mirror and my acne flare up had already significantly reduced. Used it again before bed, and I woke up without any new acne and my acne from the day before was almost non exsistent.

For $20 this is a now I can’t possibly live without it! I pair this with the cerave night moisturizer cream and my face is about two days away from being instagram worthy (without the makeup!) I don’t like to hype products I don’t feel strongly about but I would go to bat for this.

This actually helped clear my acne! I’ve dealt with acne for years and years. I have a lot of scarring because of it. Before going to a dermatologist for scar treatments, I wanted to try and get a handle on my “live” acne first.

This took a couple weeks for my skin to adjust to but once it did, WOW! I used it both morning and night, followed by the cerave daily moisturizing lotion. It will dry you out a bit if you’re not moisturizing properly, but if you are I didn’t have any issues with flaking or things like that.

I found it definitely helped stop my breakouts, and my face overall felt much smoother. I switched to the Cerave Retinol Serum for about a month because of those reviews, but found it wasn’t nearly as good as this stuff.

Finally found the perfect cleanser for my face and skin type. I’ve already noticed a huge difference in overall oil reduction, texture, and clogged pores, so I’m pleased. I have combo oily/dry skin on my face, so some areas over produce oil and some areas are drier than a desert.

But a couple of things I noticed about this cleanser is it works really well to unclog the oily areas and keep them moisturized a bit. After about 4 days, I did notice the salicylic acid starting to work and my face was flaking off, but that’s what it’s supposed to do.

So I added some Jergens Ultra Healing lotion to my routine and WOW it’s effective. The dry parts of my face are moist, the oily parts are moist but not oily. Would recommend.

I switched from a physical exfoliant (scrub) to this chemical exfoliant (benzoyl peroxide). This product is much more gentle on the skin and still leaves my skin feeling soft right away. Over time, I have noticed much less breakouts/acne with this product! No more harsh scrub tearing up my skin, so it looks even more hydrated and glowy! I have combination skin, I get oily in my T-zone and have small patches of eczema around my eyes and mouth.

This product works to break up the acne-causing oil without irritating or drying out my eczema at all! I use it in the shower every few days. I like to work the product into a foam on my hands to activate it, then apply it to my face and neck.

I let the benzoyl peroxide sit for a minute so it can really work its magic. It rinses cleanly and my skin does not feel dry after.

This product really works. It helps get rid of the acne you have and prevents you from getting anymore. Although this is a acne face wash product my Dermatologist recommended that I use it on my body as well.

I now use this product everytime I take a shower on my back, arms, shoulders, and chest to avoid getting any body acne. I also use this product once a week on my face along with my other treatments and it has made it so I only get a couple small pimples occasionally that go away very quickly.

This product also doesn’t dry my skin out from using it. I highly recommend this Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser by Cerave to anyone who wants a product that is effective at caring for acne and that is affordable.

I love this product so much and wish I had discovered it sooner especially as s teenager. I’ve had acne from a few spots to a face full of blemishes, blackheads and very large open pores from the age of 11.

Back then there wasn’t anything like this CeraVe product snd the product I was given to use by my mum was a foaming face wash that was very striping on the skin. Thankfully things have moved on and thanks to Home Tester club I have been able to try 2 CeraVe products one of which is this blemish control gel.

It is very important to use this only at night after cleaning the skin with the matching cleanser. The gel contains the same essential ceramides, glycolic and lactic acid as the cleanser with AHA & BHA.

These types of acids help to reduce the blemishes, blackheads, whiteheads and for me had a gentle exfoliating effect leaving my skin feeling as if I’d used a deep cleansing mask. This gel also reduced the size of my pores especially the ones around my nose.

Upon trying the CeraVe Blemish Control Gel, I found it to have a relatively nice feel to it and not too watery like many other products of its ilk. Like many other products there is a tendency to leave a “shine” on your face, especially right after use.

However, this is almost always followed up by a residue being left on your face once dried (often by the morning) which leaves a lot to be improved. With regards to the results, my blemish’s are usually small and inconspicuous to someone further afar but can be seen when in close proximity and the CeraVe Blemish Control Gel did reduce the appearance of them slightly though no more than other products that are intended for the same purpose.

This may vary person to person depending on the severity of blemishes and skin tone. Overall, it has a nice feel and consistency to the product but falls short in the results by producing very average results.

This blemish control gel is a lifesaver. I do not suffer from acne but have started getting spots and pimples as I move in to menopause and it is annoying as my skin is normally clear. This gel is great to quickly pop on as it calms the redness associated with spots and seems to shrink them really quickly.

So if I get it on at night they are virtually invisible in the morning. A day of using and they pretty much clear up. I have just had a couple of very resistant spots that have taken a little longer to clear but at least the reduction in redness makes them less obvious and easier to cover up.

One thing I did notice was that it did sting when put on the bigger spots, not the majority but a couple of the larger ones. Otherwise I loved this gel and will be buying more for my daughter to use as she does get a lot of spots.

This product is a game changer for me! I have dry mature skin with signs of aging and occasional breakouts. I decided that it’s time to take my skincare more seriously. After educating myself on retinols I narrowed it down to about three or four products that are highly rated with proven results from reputable brands.

I have used other CeraVe products and was very happy with them. I have been using the CeraVe resurfacing serum for about 3 weeks now and I’m very pleased with the results. I have not had any breakouts and notice a very obvious difference in the texture of my skin.

My skin looks more youthful, smooth, and fresh. I have been washing with a glycolic cleanser which I will also review, and I apply the CeraVe retinal resurfacing serum after I cleanse and then moisturize sometimes adding a hyaluronic serum about 15 to 20 minutes after I apply the resurfacing serum.

I know that a lot of times retinols will exfoliate and turn over the skin cells and you can get some reactions prior to seeing an improvement especially where breakouts and acne are concerned, this has not happened to me I feel that this formula is more gentle and packed with other ingredients that support good skin health.

disclaimer: please use any retinol at night to avoid interference with sun exposure and sensitivity to the skin. this retinol will irritate your skin, leave dry patches, and so forth. i have not been using it long but it is because my skin cannot tolerate it and i do not have sensitive skin.

i will also say you should not use this every single day considering it is a resurfacing serum. despite its name, it doesnt do much resurfacing. it just causes dry patches. this is not something i recommend as it will irritate you especially if you attempt to use it more than twice or three times a week.

if that’s the case, it wont be effective for anyone using this for anti-aging. you’ll need to use retinol everyday for faster results. nonethless, here are the issues ewg. org puts on their website for this product: “contamination concerns, irritation (skin, eyes, or lungs), occupational hazards, persistence and bioaccumulation, use restrictions”.

Use with caution!.

Little to no scent, it does sting a little after applying but after checking multiple sources and many reviews, this is normal with retinol products. I have very sensitive skin so I imagine those with normal skin will not have any stinging.

I dislike that CeraVe doesn’t disclose the amount of retinol percentage and instead gives a non-answer, but the tiny amount of retinol it has is indeed effective. I have REALLY uneven skin, lots of bumps from old blemishes that made hiding everything with makeup difficult.

I bought this a little over three weeks ago and used it in tandem with Melano CC to lighten blemishes and it’s amazing how much has changed, my skin is nearly flat! I never thought any product could make my blemishes go away completely but I think it’s possible if I use resurfacing products for a while.

For the first two weeks, I applied once daily before bumping it up to twice daily with the rest of my routine. Be prepared for a LOT of flaking at first if you had bad issues like me. After using up this bottle, I intend to change to a resurfacing product with a higher percentage of retinol!.

I’ve been using this item for over 2 weeks now and it’s made a big difference in my appearance and my breakouts. For me, when I now have a breakout I apply this on it and it reduces the redness and basically shrinks it and makes go away in a few days rather then lasting a week.

I use foaming cleanser day and night. then in the evenings I follow with the control gel. Then in the morning I use the retinol that is within the blemish control range and after that I use the facial moisturiser 30spf.

The retinol is great for the post-acne marks and this definitely helps reduce breakouts as well. This routine has worked for me, not completely getting rid of them but definitely reducing the appearance.

I would definitely recommend these products.

This product is fantastic! I’ve been using it daily alongside the Blemish Control Cleanser in an evening as part of my night time routine and wow! The difference in my skin is unbelievable. It applies to my skin well and really targets those areas of my face that dry out and have blackheads persistently particularly around my nasal and cheek areas.

It leaves my skin well hydrated and doesn’t leave a greasy texture on my face which I find with alot of these types of products is a huge problem. The packaging looks great too. Great all round product that I would highly recommend this to anyone struggling with blackhead or blemish prone skin as it’s a massive must have for your skin collection.

I used the CeraVe Blemish Control Cleanser & CeraVe Blemish Control Gel for 3 weeks and I have to say it’s amazing how my facial skin has changed. After the first few days I saw the differences. The texture and color of my face changed, it became less oily and my cheeks did not blush so much.

I’m 30 years old with adult acne, the deep painful kind that makes you hate everything when it flares up. I’ve tried antibiotics with worked, but the side-effects were not tolerable and the acne would return slowly after a couple of months after finishing the course.

I have struggled with acne for as long as I can remember and have tried just about anything. My acne seems to come and go, and even the slightest inconvenience makes me break out. I have been using the Neutrogena Clear Pore facial cleanser for a year and a half.

I decided to give it a go having high hopes because everyone else loves it. I will say that this cleanser made my skin soft, moisturized, and it foamed really nicely. But those were about the only things going for it.

Within two weeks I had small milia-like whiteheads all over my forehead and eyelids which has never happened with other cleansers before. My skin was oily constantly and my acne was rearing its ugly head with a vengeance.

I thought maybe it’s just acclimating to this new cleanser. I managed to keep up with this for a month before I booted it and went back to the Clear Pore cleanser. My skin calmed down within two weeks and the whiteheads disappeared.

Obviously this cleanser works wonders for other people but in my experience, I will not be using again.

Not for normal to combo skin. I would say it would definitely help those with combo skin that leans more oily to oily skin. Definitely not for sensitive skin either. I have combo skin that leans more normal.

Not dry, not too oily, my nose is the most oily place and even then it’s not horrible. I used to be very oily when I was younger and lived in a humid state. Though the cleanser does well at evening the skin and making it feel smooth and clean, it left my skin very dry, tight, red, flakey, and caused my skin to burn when putting on my moisturizer.

I’ve never had a bad reaction to my moisturizer until then. Which tells me this cleanser completely stripped my skin barrier. I even tried other moisturizers, to see if it was the fragance in my first one, nope, even aquaphor burned.

The only place thats ever been senstive on my face has been my under eye area but only to sunscreens, never cleansers or moisturizers. I had to slug my skin just to renew my moisture barrier, and now i’m dealing with breakouts.

Live and learn, no hate to this cleanser, i love cerave, but this particular cleanser is most definitely for really oily skin that isn’t sensitive. Not for normal unlike what the bottle says. If you have normal to combo skin that isn’t highly sensitive (if it is i suggest the hydrating cream cleanser) i highly suggest the hydrating cream to foam cleanser.

It still has salicylic acid to exfoliate, but it isn’t stripping and also has hyaluronic acid and ceramides to help rehydrate, without leaving you feeling greasy or dirty since it still has the surfactants of a foaming cleanser.

I have the same smoothing effect, without the stripping. Also don’t use this if you already use the 10% niacinamide serum from The Ordinary. 10% is already high (recommend no more than 7% total) and This cleanser has like 2-4% niacinamide in it, which is plenty for the skin, and using both is gonna over do it and make you more likely to have a bad reaction.

This cleanser has been a godsend for my dry, combination skin. I have areas of flakey dry spots then areas of more buildup and blackheads around my nose and chin, and neck. It’s gentle enough to use 3 times a day or as much as you wash your face and I wash mine a lot.

The beauty of this product, is its versatility and the beneficial components of alpha hydroxy acids that exfoliate and smooth skin, even when I’m having the worst kind of hormonal breakouts it can camouflage the redness and irritation and it just kind of smoothes the look and feel of your complexion so you can follow up with a toner, moisturizer and makeup if necessary.

I was initially recommended this cleanser by my dermatologist, and then even more intrigued once I started to read all the positive reviews and feedback, it’s a game changer. It is the cleanser for you if your struggling with less then ideal texture issues, bumpiness as well as an uneven complexion.

This cleanser has benefited my skin in so many ways, and its pore minimizing smoothing effects allow me to get away with just wearing a light tinted moisturizer most days. I cannot say enough good things about this formula.

I know this to be true! It has been a dream on my late 30’s skin. I have been using it at night and AM. away from the eye area- and allowing it to sit on the skin for a minute or two before rinsing. This is allowing it to work into the pores.

My skin has never felt so fresh- so clean. 🌿It is safe for cleansing the BODY too. Suitable for use on your face and body as well as acne-prone skin, this salicylic acid cleanser not only exfoliates the skin, but with three essential ceramides, hyaluronic acid and niacinimide, it also helps soften and smooth the skin without disrupting its protective barrier.

This formula is also non-comedogenic. 🌿This is fantastic if you deal with breakouts, acne, etc. I myself am using for anti-aging. But what is great is my teen son is using for oil control- breakout prevention.

Such a 👍 all around family usage product! A good $ value too.

I have sensitive and combination skin, parts are extremely dry and other parts are extremely oily. Many products break me out so I was hesitant to try this. After my first use I immediately noticed dry, flaky patches that begin to burn.

I almost decided to stop it but thankfully I went online and did some research. After reading about retinol I learned that it’s completely normal to have dry, red patches and some tingling or burning for the first week or 2.

My skin was purging and becoming used to the product. I added in a non comedogenic moisturizer to help with the dryness. It has been a few weeks now of me using 2-3 times weekly and it no longer causes flakiness or burning.

The red, post acne spots on my chin are already disappearing and my face is looking much healthier. I will be recommending this product to everyone who suffers from post acne spots and scarring.

This moisturizer seemed to be great when I was first using it but then I started noticing a couple of weeks in that it didn’t seem to absorb fully. I only rinse my face with water in the morning and it felt like I was rinsing off the moisturizer.

It felt like it just sat on my face. I have very dry, sensitive, eczema, acne prone skin. It didn’t cause any irritation really, or breakouts. Sometimes it would burn a little around my nose and mouth, but that tends to happen with most moisturizers I’ve used.

I’ve tried so many other moisturizers and most are not moisturizing enough, or their greasy, they don’t absorb, they burn, they make my face feel tight after applying, or they break me out. I switched to using Olay’s Active Hydrating Cream and funny enough that moisturizer has fragrance and isn’t the fanciest with all these ceramides, peptides, and actives, but kid you not, I haven’t found a moisturizer that has moisturized my face exactly the way I like, like that one does.

Sometimes we have to just use what works best for our skin and ignore what these skincare people say on YouTube or Tiktok. So far that Olay moisturizer has been amazing for my face. Also it doesn’t cause ANY irritation at all.

I’m bummed that my face didn’t agree with this CeraVe Renewing Night Cream, but oh well. So weird how our skin can react negatively to a product that is supposed to be amazing for our skin. I hope you like this product if you try it!.

I’ve been using CeraVe products pretty consistently for over a year now. I use their hydrating face wash, daily facial moisturizer and their moisturizing crème in the evenings. I suffer from VERY DRY skin and struggle with cracking near me eyes, earlobes and corners of my mouth.

I was searching for something heavier that would soak in overnight. I still wash nightly, apply my serum and now finish with generously dotting this in my face. I find that I need more than I would expect led based on their recommendations for applying.

I allow my serum to settle in and add this after a few minutes. I’ve found I wake up with my skin feeling smooth and looking more hydrated. With the harsh winter winds I do add a few drops of facial order if I’m feeling extra dry.

I don’t feel sticky or goopy in the morning and just apply my light moisturizer and carry on. I’d say if you struggle with dry skin it’s worth a shot. I think I’ll get about a month-two out of the container at the rate I’m going.

I do wish they sold this in a larger container but overall I’ve been very happy!.

I know it’s a tough buy for such a smalllllllll amount of product, but believe me when I say a little goes a long way. And I found out I use more than the friend who recommended it to me uses. This product has still lasted me months and I had to repurchase before it ran out.

It doesn’t sting or irritate skin. It is quite hydrating and leaves glassy skin. It made my skin smooth and it reduced my pore size. I am quite enjoying this product.

I have combination skin prone to black heads, enlarges pores, acne scaring & spots. I basically have teenage skin in my 30’s. I have been using this resurfacing retinol for 2 weeks and have noticed a difference in my skin already.

It no longer looks congested with blackheads, the surface is renewed meaning my skin looks brighter and fresher with very minimal spots. I would imagine that with prolonged use, I could be spot free and a million times happier with my skin.

It’s also very reasonably priced in comparison to other brands, however it doesn’t state the percentage of retinol so it’s difficult to tell how it compares to others in terms of amount of active ingredients.

1 pump does my entire face and neck. It is super easy to apply and doesn’t have a scent. I would definitely reccomend anybody with skin concerns to give it a try before splurging out on expensive stuff.

I have been waiting on Cerave to bring this product to the UK. Its been on the market in the US for ages now and lots of US dermatologists recommend as an over the counter daily product for acne prone skin.

The packaging is nice, the pump is easy to use, and it’s nice to find a retinol that also contains other blemish fighting ingredients. I do use retinol and other forms of retina regularly however I did find that moving onto this one I did have to space out the usage.

Started off using 4 times in one week and my skin was flaking badly. My skin did purge a little however I have noticed that this retinol really does improve post acne marks much quicker than any other retinol I’ve tried! My skin now tolerates this much better and the flakiness has subsided and I’m beginning to see improvements in my overall skin tone and texture as well as reduction of my fine lines on my forehead! Will buy and buy again!.

This is my holy grail! Honestly I have tried just about everything including luxury cleansers and I will always come back to this one. Its is fragrance free so many people that hate scents in their beauty/skincare products you definitely need to take a look or a leap of faith with this cleanser (any of the Cerave cleansers).

Im going to try my best to explain the feel of this so bare with me. its not a gel nor a foam, think more of a jelly constancy and when it meets your face it feels like a wet cloud hugging you, in all the right ways.

Its never ever stripping on me, my daughter or anyone ive recommend this too. My daughter uses the SA cleanser from Cerave and my mom uses this version but in the foam and they both meet their needs.

I really like this cleanser because in the morning I really feel like it helps plump before i layer my serums. I use this at night and leaves my face clean and supple however this will not be able to get off waterproof mascara.

If i wear waterproof mascara i will go in with micellar water or a oil cleaner then my Cerave. This cleanser will get a full face off and it gets my mascara off just fine if im not using a waterproof mascara.

I dont mine though. I have never heard of anyone complaining that this is stripping or drying. Cerave as a whole is amazing and the reason its a holy grail for everybody is because its simple,. simple in a good way.

The ingredients are straight to the point meaning everything your skin needs and loves and nothing more. Sometimes drying a new product ruins my skin barrier or the winter months leave me dry and i know that i can go back to my Cerave products to get my skin repaired, healthy and glowing again.

Another reason I love this is because it’s actually dermatologist used, approved and recommend which means alot. If you have not tried this cleansers you need too. Just the price point alone is incredible because you really get a bang for your buck.

So, I bought the Hydrating Facial Cleanser with Ceramides and Hyaluronic Acid as I normally have drier skin and was trying to get some hydration in it (to hot for extra moisturizer creams that I would sweat off).

I hadn’t used this before I though I would give it a try. I gave it a try, and then several chances. It felt like I was just slathering lotion on my face and not cleaning it one bit. I’ve used gels and other cleansers that don’t lather, so that didn’t bother me, but all cleansers I every used at least made me feel like I removed something from my face; this only felt like a mask of lotion, even after rinsing it off.

Then I had a project I drew on my leg. It was a tough test for a cleanser as it was done in Sharpie markers. I used a oil break down makeup spray on it first, then the Hydrating Facial Cleanser with Ceramides and Hyaluronic Acid, figuring if I had to remove it will alcohol I could at least get some moisture in the skin first.

Not a dang thing lifted. I grabbed my previous cleanser (by IT) and it took that entire thing right off. I guess every now and then I need a reminder why I invest in the more expensive products. If I just buy items to throw away, it’s a waste of money; better to put it into something that works the way it says.

Since it’s outside of the return time for this product due to dissatisfaction, I will be throwing away basically a full bottle of of super large size of this junk. Time to cut back on trying new products with this inflation.

Too expensive to just be throwing this money away. I guess I should have read the reviews on the “moisturize” first. Ugh.

Gave my confidence back and I feel like it saved my life. I’ve never had skin problems, so imagine at 41 how I freaked out as I woke up one morning and out of nowhere my face, legs, buttocks, arms, back, breast and stomach were all inflamed and itching uncontrollably.

For days I used calamine lotion and other topicals to stop the itching and flare ups. Washed everything and cleaned the entire room. About 4 days later I finally stopped itching and now everywhere the flare ups were, there were now dark black patches.

Days later they started developing on my face and dark circles underneath my eyes. My entire forehead and both cheeks were tight and shiny like leather. The feel was completely different from the other spots all over my body.

I was at a loss for words. No idea where this came from but it had to be some allergic reaction. I had just gotten over pneumonia that lasted 2 months. So maybe this was a side effect. I’ve read that some rare cases cause skin condition but why the week I was cleared from having it.

So maybe that wasn’t it! Anyway I applied lotion 3-4 times a day and Vaseline numerous times a day only to have small relief from the chaffing and tightness of the spots last only about 2 hours. Valentine’s weekend my fiancé had planned a vacation to Orlando, little does he know I wanted to cancel.

I was afraid the sun and hear would only make it worse and afraid that he would look at me differently. I reluctantly went alone using Vaseline on my face every few hours and kept my body covered wearing pants.

After 3 days, I said that’s enough I have to do something about this that’s different. Had him to stop by Walmart and went in and analyzed the products. Googled as I was in the store and settled on Cerave Moisturizing Cream and Cerave healing ointment.

Went to the hotel room a shower and applied the ointment to my face and Moisturizing Cream on my body. Telecaster again that night and the next morning you wouldn’t believe the difference it made. Plus it lasted for hours.

I continued this regimen and 30 hours later the leather on my face was no longer there it was only a small amount of chaff. My body was also healing and the dry patches weren’t nearly as dry. I continued for 3 more days and my face was now completely normal, so I switched to using the moisturizing cream with just a dab of ointment on my face for a couple more days then resulted to just Moisturizing Cream for my face and body.

2 weeks later, I’ve still seen nothing but improvements and my skin clearing up. The old skin where all the dark spots were and chaffed spots are now almost completely peeled and replaced with new skin.

Healthy, radiant and bright like before. I will continue using Cerave and researching their other products and see what’s the best way to maintain even after I’m completely in the clear from this. Cerave has given me the confidence I needed back and I am a lifetime supporter!.

To preface, I’m a 19yo female with normal skin that leans more dry in the winter and oily in the summer. I am acne prone and have recently finished six months of an acne medication. I have used this before and during my treatment, and will continue to use it as long as it’s made! When I’m doing my skincare, I typically alternate between using a salicylic acid toner, a retinol, a niacinamide serum, and a hyaluronic acid serum (depending on what my skin needs).

If I’m using my toner, I apply the toner to clean, dry skin and then apply this moisturizer on top. If I’m using my retinol or either serum, I mix them into this moisturizer and apply it as one concoction onto damp skin.

When I’m moisturizing my body, I apply it while my body is still wet coming out of the shower. I also use this moisturizer as a prep for my makeup! Overall, I absolutely love this moisturizer! It is basic in a good way! It has a gentle, non-scented formula that I can use on my face and body.

It looks great under makeup and always keeps my skin hydrated. This moisturizer sinks in perfectly without leaving behind a greasy, oily, or sticky residue. My skin can also breath through this moisturizer, which I’ve never found in a moisturizer that simultaneously checks my other boxes! Another great feat, it’s drugstore pricing in simple/functional packaging.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone looking for a classic moisturizer!.

Amazing cream! I use this in place of a night cream or on days that my skin feels dry and needs an extra boost. It’s highly moisturising and non irritating, which is perfect for sensitive skin. Love that there is no unnecessary added fragrance either.

Can be used on both your body and face. It’s one of those products that actually does what it says and works so much better than high end products. If you follow Dr Dray on Youtube then you will already know that she also recommends this cream a lot as well, especially for people using retinoids.

I’ve been applying it alongside my Differin gel to combact dryness from it’s use. After washing my face, I rub in a thin layer of this cream onto my damp skin (to lock in moisture) and follow with Differin after it’s dry.

Using it in this way as suggested by Dr Dray reduces the risk of irritation, but still allows the retinoid to be effective. Even if you are using it on it’s own, the Cerave Cream will work brilliantly to soothe and soften your dry skin.

It has great ingredients including ceramides which improve skin hydration. I have dehydrated combination skin and this has helped so much to repair my skin barrier along with following a good skincare routine.

You really have to try it to believe it!.

I like this inexpensive drugstore moisturizer so much more than the much higher priced moisturizers that I have been using for many years. Cerave Moisturizing Cream contains 3 essential ceramides and hyaluronic acid which provides controlled release all day hydration and helps retain skin’s natural moisture.

It is also non-comedogenic, where it won’t clog pores, as well as fragrance and paraben free. If you are looking for a dry skin moisturizer that can be found anywhere at a very reasonable price, I highly recommend this Cerave product.

I use it daily, and do find results within a week! It does take away some of that rough and bumpy skin that has plagued me for a long time. Especially with the dark keratosis, which can be rough and bumpy.

I use it after showering, and in the morning. A loofa sponge helps. There is no scent, so it doesn’t conflict with any perfume, etc scents I may choose to use. My Doctor recommended this formulation for my needs, and I thought it was just one of those sales pitches.

I can say he really knew what he was talking about! He gave me samples and I went ahead and bought it, being pleased with the results. I’m very pleased.

Absolutely love CeraVe! This is a great duo, and pair so well with each other. This has helped with rough, bump skin on my arms. Very gentle, fragrance free which is perfect for my sensitive skin. We always keep the SA products on hand.
