We started the first meal with this porridge. Complementary feeding started at 4 months, as there were problems with the stool. The pediatrician recommended the introduction of porridge after mashed potatoes and give preference to buckwheat and oatmeal, rice is not yet introduced.

My son had a difficult time breastfeeding therefore we had to supplement with formula to keep him satisfied and not constantly screaming. For the first 4 months of his life he ate every hour and I was exhausted.

I finally caved and gave him the smallest amount of this cereal before bed and he slept for 8 hours straight. I was a brand new woman! This cereal saved my life. It is affordable and usually covered by WIC and other programs also.

It’s good. I’ve bought it twice now. My 6 month old son seems to really enjoy it for breakfast. He prefers the oats to the rice cereal. I like that it’s fortified with iron. We mix ours with formula and add a vitamin D drop.

I knocked off one star because it’s not complete ie: having to mix with formula. It would be great if the powdered formula was already mixed in with the cereal.

My 10 month old was the tester. At the beginning he was fussy to the new test but we keep trying again. He loves combination of rice and fresh fruits. For me that was also perfect and quick solution for his breakfast.

I made sure that he received something nutritious and in the same time something what is filling him up. The texture is really smooth perfect for younger babies but adding a fruit not only makes a different taste on the same base as well as is adding variety of texture.

It can be also used with vegetables. If comes to mixed fruit and wheat from 8 months in my opinion the texture should not be as smooth as rice one. Taste is good and not too sweet. In some other brands you could bet that sugar has been added in quite high amount.

I have distributed all sample pack within play group. As all of us are different I have also received various feedback. Some of the babies did not wanted to eat that at all other just loved it and has eaten larger amount then usually.

Some of the parents actually said that would be very beneficial to buy in the shops single packed portions for those who travels or just going out or just to see if it will suit to their baby. Mums has also enjoyed free and easy to prepare sample and free spoon.

To be honest I have never used baby cereal before and I tried this product for free to see if my son would like it. He certain didn’t love it at first and perhaps found the taste and texture a little strange, but after a couple of tries, he started to eat it without a problem – he just prefers it cold.

I wasn’t expecting Cerelac to be a powder and when mixed with water come out quite smooth. My son also likes it slightly thicker than what the instructions suggest, but he is 14mths. I found the taste quite palatable, however was surprised by how sweet it is.

After checking the ingredients I realised that’s because it is almost 30% sugar. I can only assume most baby cereals are like this and I would still use it occasionally for my son, but probably not as a regular meal.

As I said previously, my son is not too keen on the mixed fruit and wheat. He will have a couple of mouthfuls and then push his bowl away. I tried mixing in different flavours but is is always the same reaction.

I think the milk and baby rice is more palatable but not really appropriate for his age (16 months). Feedback I got from mums with younger babies were good. So, in my opinion, The Cerelac mixed fruit and wheat and Rice and milk are great for weaning, easy to prepare and fortified with vitamins but not really suitable for children over 12 months old.

This is a great product. The apple and carrot give these oats a little sweetness, which is pleasant. The cereal was easy to mix, although the serving is quite large for my baby based on the suggested serving size, so in future I’d make less at one time.

I love that there are 2 tbsp of veggies per serving (although. only 1 for what my baby consumed, which is still better than none). I also appreciated that it contained probiotics. I took off a star because at 68% iron per serving, it’s less than most other fortified baby cereals.

With my baby not being able to eat the full serving, I would need to find additional iron sources to make up that deficit. However, great product and I will be keeping it in the rotation.

I chose this cereal at the start of introducing solids into my son’s diet. I appreciated the simple ingredients and that it’s organic and gluten free. Simply put, he loves it. Of course, he consumes other foods and fluids throughout the day so I am not concerned that this one meal doesn’t have ALL of his daily vitimins.

He gets full, doesn’t have any stomach issues after eating and seems to thoroughly enjoy it every time. My biggest “complaint” is that it is sometimes hard to find in stores near me. Overall, happy baby = happy Mama.

I was not surprised to see other reviews that said this made their baby projectile vomit. It caused my baby to vomit repeatedly for 2 plus hours. I suspected something was off with this baby cereal and not that my baby is allergic to its ingredients.

Very disappointed. I feed my baby other iron fortified cereals and there is no problem. I cant help but wonder if there is a batch that is contaminated with something to cause a food borne illness. It was an extremely upsetting thing to happen especially when you are feeding your very young baby their first solid foods.

I will be contacting the manufacturer. If this is in fact a bad batch then i hope they can recall and spare other babies this sickness.

This is a good first food to give to your baby when introducing solids. It’s the first solid food I ever gave to my son, and I mixed it with some breastmilk. He seem to like it a lot! I’m giving four stars instead of five because I believe they should’ve put on the front that this product contains wheat.

As many people know, wheat is a common allergen. I believe this should be advertised better so that parents are aware they were giving their kids something they could potentially be allergic to. Other than that I think it’s a great product and I really love this brand.

If you order this you automatically get their new one which has refined sugar in it. Why even label it as such if you’re just going to give a different packaging? I don’t know if this is new packaging or it’s their old stuff.

But either way it has the same barcode for the green bottle as it does for this one. But you’ll get the green one with refined sugar. What infant needs refined sugar? I just went with the earths best brand.

The first and second time trying to feed this to my son was not a success. The third time, he seemed to take to it, and the fourth time, he actually began to get excited when he saw me preparing it for him.

Hopefully the positive trend continues. I would say to start slow and gradually increase the amount you prepare so that it doesn’t get wasted. I ended up throwing a good amount away the first 3 times.

When he finally decided that he wanted it, he only ate 1 tsp or cereal mixed with 2 tsp of liquid. When I fed this to him yesterday, he ate about 1. 5 tsp of cereal. I’ll update this to let you know how it goes in the upcoming weeks.

I love this product to complement the diet of my girls. it is very complete because it contains the 5 main cereals. my babies love it, they take it with milk or I also prepare it with different modified recipes for children, cakes, breaded, etc.

it is versatile.

I think this is my favorite Nestum as far as the taste and the different type of grains that make up this cereal. Most of all my baby loves it. I began to use Nestum because the Gerber one constipates him.

This works better at addressing the constipation issue and has a little more fiber than the Gerber mixed wheat.

I usually buy it for me lol. I used to live in cuba and i used to love it back then , now i found it here and i think is very good when im craving sweets , i also put it on my oat milk and it is great , recommended.

My 10 month old is usually very fussy with what he eats. He doesn’t generally like eating from a spoon, instead preferring food he can use his hands with to feed himself. This has lead us to feeding him foods like toast and fruit for breakfast which don’t really fill him up for long and as he’s feeding himself, a lot of it is ending up on the floor as opposed to in his tummy.

Initially I did have a problem getting him to try Cerelac because it wasn’t something he could hold in his hand to feed himself but once I got the first spoon into him, he realised how much he liked it and has since been eager to eat his breakfast each morning.

The texture of the dry Cerelac is different to other baby cereals, it’s a heavier, thicker consistency which I was a little bit weary of to begin with but once mixed with hot water this difference is no longer noticeable.

The smell of the Cerelac is amazing! Once I take the lid of the tin I can smell it immediately and it smells so nice. The only ‘bad’ (and I put that in brackets as its not really bad but just something for Nestle to consider) things about this breakfast are: 1.

I had trouble reading the back of the tin due to the grooves in the packaging. It was quite difficult to find out whether I was supposed to mix the Cerelac with hot water or with formula. 2 No scoop is included in the tin.

The inside of the tin has a levelling part (like in formula tubs, that part that comes out a bit for you to level off the scoop of milk) which made me think that there would be a scoop inside but after shaking the tin about and digging a spoon around inside, there was no scoop.

We have given samples of Cerelac to some of Mickey’s friends and the parents of these friends have all said how much their LO’s have enjoyed it and most have asked me where they can buy more from. The meal plans that were included in the project were a really great touch and have helped immensely with finding new dishes to serve my little guy.

Overall I have been really happy with Cerelac, it’s allowed me to feed Mickey from a spoon without all the hassle we were previously experiencing with other baby breakfasts we’s tried. It’s also kept him fuller for longer and has definitely helped with his digestion (we used to have issues with trouble going to the toilet but not anymore, 20 minutes after breakfast the little fella has ‘been’ with no trouble.

When the parcel arrived it was filled with so many packs of Cerelac, I couldn’t believe it! My initial thoughts were that maybe it was aimed at younger children. My son is 2. 5 years old and thought maybe it was not lumpy enough for him to be interested.

My son is also autistic so he is very funny about his food so I normally make the same 2 meals every day to ensure he eats it, therefore it was nice to be in this trial so I could test before buying it.

Initially my son was not prepared to try it, he just batted the spoon away, however after a few attempts he gave it a taste and he actually liked it. I gave the samples to my friends and she says her 6 month old is very much loving it too.

Personally I feel that this is aimed towards the younger market, kids who are being weaned or have just been weaned. While a large child will eat it, I don’t understand why you wouldn’t just buy normal cereal etc at that stage.

I am also slightly put off by the numerous E numbers and flavourings etc and while I am certain they are safe for a child to eat, I would prefer something that is more natural when there is a choice, like oats, wheat bisks etc.

Overall, would I recommend this – yes. If you have a young child they will love it and its easy, however I wouldn’t say for older children you should rush out to buy it.

I was looking for Cerelac here in the US, and I was pleasantly surprised that Nestle actually sells them. The product I bought was actually based on wheat, not rice, which what I was accustomed to when I was a kid.

This product taste just as good. It has the right balance of milk and cereal portions. I bought this as a snack supplement for my kid and they he loves it. The only thing is because it’s wheat based, it tend to get clumpy compared to rice based Cerelacs, so it might need more water to smoothen it out.

Taste and flavor is same but it gets lumpy no matter the temperature of milk/water, and it does not get thick quick. where 2 tbs gets thick with garber, you would need 4-5 tbs for this one to come close to that thickness.

But i will keep buying cause i love taste and flavor.

Have been buying this from international food stores and suddenly I went to 3 of them and non of them had it. Luckily I found it here. My baby loves it. It is a very tiny bit sweet but that’s what she likes about it….
