20 Best Cereal Storage Containers (2022 Updated)

Love rubbermaid products, I have a pantry full of them. I bought 2 of these big cereal keepers at a month a part. Fist one no matter what, the label wont come off. Soaked in hot water with NO luck my husband took it to his work shop and worked on it with Goop.

Finally after tons of elbow grease and scrubbing it’s off. We were hoping it was a fluke so we bought a 2nd one same issue as the 1st. Really wanted 3 in all but forget it. To much time wasted removing label.

Ridiculous! Too bad, always loved there products.

I’m not a big fan of plastic containers, but this one is a high quality container. It has a stain sheild that helps prevent your container from being stained. It’s clear all the way around, and I think that is a nice feature.

As far as the practicality of this container, it’s excellent. It’s large (18 cups), so you should be able to fit almost any bag or box of cereal you buy in this container. It’s also airtight. This keeps your cereal fresh longer than an open bag.

It also keeps unwanted pest out. This is a must have for any well organized pantry.

Love this container. It is the perfect size for holding most cereal. You could also use it for other dry ingredients such as flour, sugar, pasta, coffee, etc. It has a latch that helps to keep it air tight and helps prevent spills if it gets knocked over.

It has a wide pour spout making it easy to pour out my cereal and it is easy to close. I like that it is clear so I can see how much is left in the container. It is durable and also easy to clean. I plan to get more of these containers for my other dry ingredients.

I would love it if I could find one like it for my bread.

I ordered the bread keeper thinking that it would keep my bread safe from my cats since they tear through the bread bag to eat it and eat it. I’ve tried keeping it in my cabinet but the cats are too smart and have learned how to open the cabinets.

This bread keeper is terrible. It is two separate pieces. Yes they slide together but because they are not connected, they also slide all the way apart. Not to mention, I buy a standard loaf of bread, not the shorter ones so this doesn’t even fit the entire loaf.

I cannot use this. Therefore, I reached out to return it and found that I’d have to pay almost as much as I paid for the item to ship it. Therefore, they would be getting their item back to resell to some other schmuck and get double their money for it.

This is terrible service since I feel that the item was falsely advertised (or at least strongly misrepresented) on their website. I told them to keep my money and I’ve thrown it in the trash. I have purchased many other items from this company and I am sorely disappointed in this product and the customer service in regards to returns.

I love the kitchen keepers, I was so excited to find them. They are just perfect for my baking ingredients. I ordered two flour containers. One of them came broken beyond use. The representative I spoke to said the item was now unavailable and issued a refund.

Kind of disappointed, I still need the second container. But glad I received a refund.

I really love these containers for cereal and other dry goods. This size fits a large cereal box. I opted for these since the XOX brand was so expensive. I’m very happy with the purchase. The lids are secure and keeps cereal fresh.

I also appreciate that they snap on and off easily since I have arthritis pain in my hands. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it only pours about a 1/4 cup or so at a time. Would definitely buy again!.

Purchased one month ago and am very pleased. I purchase cereal from Costco that is packaged in dual bags. It was a morning fumble with clips and bags that were like amoebas constantly changing shape, requiring strategic redistribution of cupboard space.

I prefer tge drop chute method over the competitions turn crank, pulverizing of flake based cereal. Assembly was simple ans intuitive to the point that including instructions would have been a waste of time (they are provided online).

I like the mounting, very stable. With both left and right handed users, this works brilliantly. My biggest concern was the height of the product fitting under my top counters, because I found two different dimentions – the OXO site has the correct ones.

In the product video, it shows using a rectangular bowl so I was currious if round ones made a difference – it does not, round bowls work without spilling over the sides. I highly recommend.

I love our cereal dispenser. It’s great quality and suitable. I used it for Pistachio and it’s perfect. Will definitely purchase this item again soon.

The first round of cereal it came out fine, almost too fast. I 1/2 filled with Cheerios and worked a couple of days, but I noticed after not eating for a week the cereal tasted stale, and on top of the that the cereal got jammed.

I would have to reach under and move cereal around as I’m holding lever down- it became EVERY TIME I would get cereal, so I wanted to love it but I don’t. I don’t recommend, especially at this price point!.

It taste like cappuccino in cafe (machine one, of course), but very enjoyable! I was very skeptical that this white powder wont turn into foam, but it perfectly did. Just like having cappuccino at home ))) And super easy!!!.

The bin clip was not fit for purpose on my 50 / 60L Brabantia Touch Bin lid Stalk is too short to engage with the catch mechanism.

Bought for grand daughter for xmas if it does as says will be delighted with it

Containers Are Nice But The Lids Are Not As Great. I Dont Like The Lids. The Lids Could Be Better. The Levers To Open &close The Lids Seem Poorly Made. When My Lids Break, I Will Be Using The Containers Without Them.

I Might Use Seran Wrap To Cover Up My Items.

I love these. Unfortunately, I only bought the small package. I wish the price wasn’t so high but….they are a good quality. Being square and not round saved space for me!

These containers work great! They have serious suction and can keep your items fresh. They work great but I do wish there was an extra-large size that would fit an entire box of cereal. These work fantastic and I would recommend them.

Very disappointed in rubbermaid brand with these. They only last about two or three times. I only used them to store homemade dog food in fridge or feezer. They crack easy and become super brittle in the feezer.

They would not last if you actually used them for lunch items or things you carry out of the house. I never microwaved them and only hand wash them, but I can’t see them lasting in the microwave or a dishwasher either.

The plastic is awful compared to my other thicker more flexible plastic rubbermaid products, I have used rubbermaid for 40 years and they have now lost a customer. They got super cheap and now have terrible quality.

I purchased these myself. Here we have some Rubbermaid plastic storage containers, I’m sure everyone has bought them at some point or another. These are handy, sturdy plastic food containers. These food containers can be stacked closed for extra storage space, come in a couple of colors, and work great on keeping food/leftovers fresh! These containers have a strong seal, so no air gets in, no food gets out.

These Rubbermaid containers are affordable for people on All budgets, Yes I recommend to everyone, not like I need to though.

My high school son loves these. He is very prideful and you wouldn’t dear catch him with a lunch box and those plastic zip baggy things especially at school. But there are some chips he loves and he said one day he took a pack to school and all the kids were begging him for some cause they saw the package and they like it also.

Finally I got those containers and to my surprise he asked for all 3 to use to put chips in to take to school. It has been 5 days since he has been going to school with them. He said that he loves those snack containers for so many reasons.

He said that it is small enough to fit in his bookbag. He said that it keeps his chips fresh. He said that it is wonderful camouflage lol. I one the other hand thinks it is very easy to clean. I think it is lightweight.

I think it is strong, think great material was used to make it. It’s not bulky, doesn’t take too much space in my dishwasher or cabinet. I would definitely recommend this.

This container will hold a full box of Life or Cheerios cereal (The 18oz family size). This is 10 cups by volume. So that should help with size. If you buy 18 oz by weight of little rice crispies or big puffs you will get a different volume due to the size and air space between pieces.

People should not say these are too small since it depends on what you use them for. If you buy a 1 lb bag of lentils, black beans or chick peas, they will all need different size containers. Even though each is 16 ounces (2 cups in weight) they are all different cups in volume.

So this holds 10 cups but not 80 ounces. I use these for cereal and chips, and 1 in the bath for Epsom salts. The medium will hold 7lbs of rice and the large 50 cup is more for like huge bags of dog food.

Best to look at the size in inches rather than cups of volume since it varies so much by size of what’s being stored. To get some things to fit you may need to do the fill and shake thing to settle the contents and get the air out.

I like that I can shake the contents out without removing the whole cover. The opening of this container is just big enough for me to fit my hand through and I have big hands (for a woman). I wear a large glove.

A child could easily fit a hand in, so it would also be good for small toys like Legos.

i bought this to store rice in my pantry. its much too small. I should have looked at the dimensions in the product details. I dont think this will hold 21 cups of rice. The container may have volume to hold 21 cups, but because of the slanted side opening, the container cant be filled up completely or the rice will fall out when it’s opened.

ii plan on returning it to get something bigger.

This container is not as large as I was hoping. I do not believe it will hold 5 lb. of flour. I do like how you can get into it by opening just the top flap. I would’ve preferred the round hard plastic air tight container- it is bigger- but walmart quit carrying it.

I have big lips thanks to genetics, but they’ve been quite chapped and shriveled due to the cold. You can feel the plumping agent but it isn’t painful like other plumping lip products. Im actually very sensitive to plumping agents and this is a nice warming slight tingling sensation.

I got 2 colors and this is the one I tried on first. Just take care not to click it all the way up and only click up what you need and your packaging won’t have a huge mess. If my big lips don’t cause the packaging to become a huge mess, with a little bit of care yours shouldn’t either.

The reason it doesn’t click down is because of how emollient the product is, it wouldn’t click down without a huge mess and messing up the product, the packaging makes sense. It was the girl who complained about this not being some crazy high shine formula with a picture of her frowning that actually sold me on this product, I didn’t want something crazy shiny.

I do like the shine and the sparkle in the formula isn’t crazy noticeable. Overall I really enjoy this and I’d suggest it if you’re thinking about it.

This is the only cereal keeper I use because it is made with very high quality material, is built to last for years, and it has an excellent seal which keeps the cereal fresh! This cereal keeper holds a large box of cereal.

There is a flip top on the lid so you don’t have to remove the whole lid to pour the cereal which is perfect for preventing big spills or cereal and also ensures the lid stays on tight. Kids don’t worry about popping lid back on so this is the perfect cereal keeper if you have kids! The cereal stays fresh for a long time in this container.

It washes easily. Make su r e you dry thoroughly before adding more cereal after washing. This can be used for more than cereal too. I also use them for chips, popcorn, and crackers!.

Love the sizes of these products I didn’t realize how big the avocado serum and plum plump moisturizer were, they’re half the size of the full size which is so good I feel like they’ll last so long. I’ve been using for about 4 days and my skin already looks so much better my dark spots and redness has already improved which I never would have expected and my skin just looks so clear, glowing and even.

I’m loving this routine. One thing I’ll say is that it’s a bit too heavy to use as a morning routine in my opinion cause you can feel everything sit on your skin and it is sticky so I can imagine the feeling of that when you go outside in the summer.

I purchased this container last year to put my cereal in. Some time after using it it for months, I opened the container one morning and it smelled like a chemical. I am not sure what the numbers on on the container mean.

I stopped using it because I don’t like the smell of chemicals in my food storage containers. The website describes the plastic container as being BPA free. I also was disappointed that the lid did not fit the way that I expected.

I have Rubbermaid storage containers that I use to store vegetables for a few days and they do not smell after being shut tight for more than a day. Choose wisely is all that I can say.

Keeps cereal fresh, but is not very space-efficient. I have 2 of these in my cupboard and they help to keep cereal fresh for weeks. My issue is that I live in a small apartment with very limited cupboard space, and these take up a very large portion of my shelf space due to their irregular, rounded shape.

They are an oval shape and are larger at the top, which causes there to be a lot of wasted space in my pantry. They are also much much larger than a standard cereal box–which only fills it up about half-way (if that).

May be better if you are buying the large bulk cereal bags but I will be looking for a smaller, rectangular container.

Love these containers – this is the 5th one that I’ve purchased (all from different sellers). It’s mis-labeled as a “meat” keeper – it’s actually a cereal keeper. They keep cereal fresh for weeks. My only complaint is that this seller shipped the container without the lid attached (I’ve previously purchased these from Kitchen Collection and online at Amazon- normally the lid is on and the whole thing comes wrapped in plastic – so obviously it was opened at some point and the lid removed).

The lid was slightly warped and would not latch on correctly. I forced it down and left it for a few days and it seems to have bent into shape and holds a seal. I have yet to purchase anything from a Walmart Marketplace seller that didn’t have something wrong with it (everything from broken camping lamps to drones with missing parts from various sellers).

I’m beginning to think maybe the “Marketplace” is actually a platform for sellers to dump returned items and “seconds”. So, good product, but pay a few extra dollars and buy from a more reputable website.

Excellent cereal holder. Already have three wanted a fourth. Had trouble finding ones to fit in my cupboard but these were great. Slim and seal proof, Have never had problem of stale cereal. Highly recommend.

I use this container for dry cereal. I was hoping it would make it easy for me when pouring corn flakes, etc. because the original cereal box was a hassle and also caused me to spill cereal. I hate that.

This container is fantastic. It will hold the contents of the largest cereal box or any other product that you prefer to pour than hassle with original packaging. The price was great too. There is nothing bad that I can say about this item.

These have been perfect for storing cereal on top of my refrigerator. I wanted a container that sealed properly to keep cereal fresh but also something that was convenient for my children to use. This set has been perfect for our families personal needs.

I ended up purchasing four total and thinking about getting a couple more. These would be great for cereal but also so rice, oats, flour, sugar and more.

NOT airtight. Bought these to keep ants out of cereal and crackers in my pantry, but found tons of ants inside the containers the next morning. I guess I should have known that would happen when it didn’t feel like the lids on any of them ‘clicked’”into place.

The lids don’t feel like they fit correctly. There appears to be small places where ants could enter through the hinged area of the lid dispenser. Wish I had inspected this better before purchasing. Not recommended for food – which is the point of this product, right?.

The only way you get the air tight seal is if you buy cereal in a zip lock bag to begin with. You put the whole bag of cereal into the container. The lid snaps on tight, but the pull up flap has air gaps.

The lift up tab you think you’d use to pour the cereal is useless since you have to take the whole lid off to get to the zip lock bag open.

These containers are the very best. They are strong durable, perfect size to store so many foods. Filled ours with pasta cereal and oats and rice. Does not take up too much room and fits perfectly into our pantry.

May have to order more. Oh!! The price is more than fair !.

These are great for kids snacks. I put all of our crackers, veggie straws, granola, etc into these! The quality seems possibly a little low which is why I rated 4 stars, but time will tell. It seems like they have a good tight seal but not sure how well the plastic will hold up.

Not as described. 135. 5 ounces comes to 8 pounds rounded down. They hold a little more than 4 pounds as it took two for an 8 pound bag of flax meal. Because the smaller size makes them easier to handle than larger ones, and because I like the way they are made, I decided to keep them anyway.

Very nice storage containers with a variety of sizes that are all usable unlike some sets that have sizes that are quite useless. I hand washed as recommended all the containers and immediately filled them with baking supplies.

Chocolate chips, pecans, dried fruit, coconut, etc. were some of the items I filled them with. The easy to use lids seems tight and sealed. I can’t speak on how they will last because I just received them but they do seem sturdy and well-made for what they are.

What a great price for so many usable containers. They look very nice in my pantry… I may just order another set.

Bought this to store cat food. The scoop is sturdy, but the container itself is thin and squishes when I pick it up. Its not a hard plastic like I thought it would be. The top doesn’t always snap. I could find better quality at the local big box store for less money.

I own four of these. I keep various flours in most of them. The scoop is fantastic as I weight my flour. I started storing chips in one of them. The chips have stayed crisp for a month. I will be ordering more!.

I was looking for a nice cereal storage option and these seemed to fit the bill. Fit in the space perfectly via dimensions listed on Zulily and they did fit when they came. However, the lids did not lock properly and required more force to line up with the clasps.

Upon successful closure of the clasps, I saw that they had broken. So unfortunately, they didn’t work and I’m still on the search for good food storage -_-.
