I wanted a set of classic, great sounding 3-way speakers for mostly rock and roll music. I wanted them to handle volume and a big room, and they do this well. It would be hard to find better units for this money.

Cerwin delivers.

Has a lot of bass and sounds like a good sounding home audio speaker. Also it sounds like the voice is coming from a on stage pro audio speaker. It sounds quite a bit better than pro audio would in a home setting.

I had a pair a few years back. A Sony Elite 85W X 2 reciver blew the walls out of my house with no distortion, bass(thunderous)/mid/treble perfect and clear with all genres of music. Don’t be fooled into buying much more expensive speakers.

CW is an enduring flagship. When I get a bigger home I’ll probably get the 215’s. Boom!.

I own this model, as well as the D7s built in 1985. I had these first, and i thought they were great. I have them hooked up to a Sony tuner/receiver using 100W per channel, plus they are bi-amped. Then, i bought a pair of D7s off Craigslist, refurbished them, and also hooked them up to the Sony amp on the rear channel.

I used the amps internal settings to even out the watts, including a slight 10 milisecond delay to create the surround sound. Bottom line, these are great speakers, but the D7s build in 1985 pound much harder.

I bought two of these running off a crown amp with a Bluetooth receiver and man do these get loud. I have them in my 4 car garage. We like loud music when we wrench. They have actually vibrated stuff off the wall yet are crystal clear.

When I ordered these speakers I figured they would sound good, after all they are Cerwin Vegas, but damn! I have them hooked up to a Harmon Kardon integrated receiver and when I turned it on I was blown away!!!! High volume or low these little speakers handle this receiver as well or better than the big speakers!!! Sound is phenomenal!!!!!!.

These are good sounding speakers for the price. They are very efficient and can pump out decent music even at lower power levels. Cerwin Vega has always impressed me as a company, and this offering does not disappoint.

Very light weight, could be made with deeper cone and heavier magnet for better low end response!

So I wanted to buy some speakers for my girls ride due to the factory front door speakers being crunchy and blown. I entered on Sonics website the car and it recommended that these Cerwin Vega V465s fit the civic front door panels.

They looked good, from what I read they were perfect so I ordered. Sonic came through like normal and I had them 2 days later. I pulled the door panels off and removed the old speaker (which was about 4mm shorter, and much more puny)but overall I wasnt stressing the new ones going back in.

Well when I went to put the new Cerwin Vegas back in, they were way too big. Sonic even sent some kind of ring adaptor that I and my buddy tried every different way and these speakers just would not fit without Sawzall metal cutting modification.

I know when you hear that it spooks you, but it wasnt too bad – I included before/after pics of the door panel, the amount of metal that had to be cut, then we just used self-tapping screws to secure them in.

I WANTED TO LEAVE THIS REVIEW SO OTHERS THAT ARE NOT AS MECHANICALLY INCLINED WOULD NOT WASTE THEIR TIME, SINCE THESE SPEAKERS DO NOT FIT A 2003 HONDA CIVIC LIKE SONIC SAYS THEY DO.

Fantastic speakers. Not lacking in the lows at all and nice clean mids and highs without the higher frequencies being overbearing. All around great set of speakers as long as you have the power to run them.

They are running on a JBL GX-602 amp.

They are very high quality speakers I am dedicated to the Cerwin Vega brand. They are high and mid range focused, with little to no bass as they are intended for a quality stereo system that would normally include a subwoofer.

Crystal clear, however check to see if they fit in your door as they are deeper than most and I couldn’t clip my pannel back completely.

If you are looking for a factory upgrade for your basic system, these are a great option, especially for the price. They are not the highest fidelity, but if you are not building a high-end system, then you dont need that.

The tweeters can be a bit harsh, and the low end a little sloppy, but again these are not competition speakers, they are upgrades over the factory and they do that well.

These speakers have surpassed my expectations. They really thump and can handle a lot of power. I have these hooked up to an amp and they sound awesome. Will be putting these in my second vehicle. Thanks also for the fast delivery.

Great set of components for the price. I would recommend them for many different reasons number one would be because they fit in my front door with no spacers and theyre easy to install number two would be because of price and quality of sound that you receive.

They are Cerwin Vegas so you expect something good and you get more than you expect. I have no complaints whatsoever and will buy another set for my wifes van.

I bought the Cerwin-Vega V-468. They came packed extremely well, appearance was pleasing having the signature red surrounds. They seem to have a crossover for the low frequency driver presumably to block lower frequencies.

The response is rated down to 60 hz. They play well paired with a sub but may be lacking in the low end if used without one. The sound from these speakers is excellent all around nice crisp highs without being harsh.

Mids make voices come alive with excellent imaging. They also worked well with the factory head unit and amp most likely because of their high sensitivity. The fit was ok in a 5×7 opening in a 2006 Explorer however I needed the baffles that were recommended by Sonic to have the proper back spacing (they hit the window track slightly without them).

Otherwise they would need a spacer behind them. So to sum it up, for the money, they are a well built speaker that sound excellent, not to mention they look pretty bad ass!!!.

These speakers definitely create a different clarity of sound. Prior to buying i had the factory speakers in my 2010 for fusion which have a great punch and sound surprisingly. As time has gone on I’ve wanted a pair of Cerwin-Vegas and when these became available I had to try.

Definitely not a disappointment, these don’t the same bass kick as the factory speakers, but I’m sure with a little amp assistance these will.

The sound is pretty descent, voice seems clear enough on movies (I don’t use them for music), but there is a bit of mid range muddiness. It’s not bad but it is there. For the right price this could be a very good speaker for your dollar.

However the drivers are NOT 5 1/4 inches. They are 4 inch. The only way you get to 5 1/4 is if you include the surrounds which is cheating. The drivers themselves are only 4 inches each.

I had tried many brands for my center channel speaker and never found one that I felt was right for my room. This is it, Folks. Clear crisp center channel sound – the best for movies i have ever heard.

As soon as i hooked it up the sound was thumpen right out of the gate and the bass is magnificent too, a really good buy.

Exactly what I was looking for. Goes excellent with my new car radio. Had the specs I needed to match the radio output. Sounds great: way better than what I had in the car before! Very clear sound. Would definitely recommend this product.

This is an amazing speaker, with a great price tag! My 17 year old son was ecstatic!

I dont like my phone up in my windshield or clipped to a vent and had trouble finding anything that would hold well down lower. This mount has a very small base and can be mounted in many places out of the way.

Magnet is very strong. Only down side is my contact charging was blocked by the large square metal plate on the phone. The smaller round plate is used down lower to allow contact charging again. Both plates are supplied.

BIG SOUND FROM A SMALL UNIT. AWESOME COMPACT MINI AMP. VERY LIGHT WEIGHT YET BUILT TO DO THE JOB. IT’S GREAT THAT IT ONLY USES A 15 AMP FUSE TO OPERATE THE SYSTEM. THAT SAVES BATTERY DRAW DOWN ON BIKE ELECTRONICS.

the specifications of this sub works very well with my system, this infinity reference 1070 out performs my old Rockford 4410 sub by a mile, matches my infinity kappa 6×8’s great bye

Absolutely would recommend these speakers. I replaced some wally world Sony speakers with these. My 14 year old son said they sound way better. Which confirmed it wasnt just me. They sound very clear and handle my amp very well.

Bought these 4 x 6 cerwin vegas for the the windshield in a 1982 Corvette. They fit fine and it is safe for me to say they sound 10 times better than the ones they replaced, So impressed that I have ordered the 6 x 9 cerwin vegas for the back placement.

These things sound amazing and fit my 91 chevy c1500 extended cab perfectly. They are a very tight fit with the large magnet on the dash board but be patient and you will be able to make them sit flush.

They keep up with my nemesis na8h on 2km amp without being powered so I’m happy.

MY REVIEW IS MORE LIKE a QUESTION I own a pair of Cerwing Vegas since forever! Nice, strong bass, clean sound, but lately I decided to upgrade my speakers. , its about time. I would like to buy this pair for almost $1500.

i got the 14 xls-215 and they are running at 6 ohms through a 200 watt sony receiver. I found that running them flat works best. My Re-38 loved tone and effects. The top is pretty nice. A little scratchy.

Same basic tweeter as the 38 with a lens for more dispersion. As with most soft dome it rolls off smoothly about 10k. The Mid range is also surrounded by a lens and rolls off around 5k. The tweeter and mid range drivers mix well.

The base speakers are the standard Cerwinsky Pink Monsters. The aren’t broken in yet – stay tuned. I will add a bunch of insulation. i can hear the cabinets. Finish is strong and the see through grills are cool.

Unfortunately I discovered that one of the two speakers had a crossover failure upon unboxing. For $800 per speaker I would have expected better QC. The one that works sounds amazing. They weigh 120lbs each so returning/exchanging is going to be very expensive and difficult.

My CV RE30s lasted 25 years and are still kicking. These were a bit disappointing.

Love Cerwin Vega speakers. It’s all I have in my house and all my cars. Can’t beat the bass, great sound, good prices. Will always use Cerwin Vega speakers, not much better out there at the same price point.

To be honest , just seeing Certain Vega speakers available for my 2000 Tahoe caught me. But also advertising a pair for $49. 99 NO WAY !!!!!AGAIN. Im so happy on jumped on this sale. THEY look and sound excellent !!!!! PERFECT FIT.

They sound great compare to factory speakers. They are easy to install. Ill recommend these speakers to everyone who enjoy clean sound.

Great speaker for a stock radio. But if your buying for the 320w rating stay away. I am driving them with a stock hd radio and a 500watt amp. 250w with 30watts from the radio. 280w max they lived 3 months with about a month of use.

On top of that the adapter they was sent with doesn’t work without trimming you fairing supports just a heads up. Great sound till they stopped yesterday morning.

I put these speakers on my motorcycle sound system. The high watt rating allows for higher volume without distortion. These have high quality construction as well. Crewing Vega is a well known brand.

These speakers lasted one month before buzzing. They did sound great for that month though. Take whatever the RMS power is for Cerwin Vega speakers is, and cut it in half, so maybe they will last two months.

I have installed sound systems off and on since the mid 80’s, and NEVER has a set of speakers only lasted a month before. Even no names I have installed lasted longer than that.

Bought these speakers to replace the 4 door speakers in my F-150. I couldnt be more pleased! No amps or anything else just running a stock radio and the sound is amazing! 1000% better then the factory speakers! The sound is crisp, clear, good bass, good highs, and they fit perfectly without any modifications whatsoever.

I would 1000% recommend these speakers. As a matter of fact a set is going to go in my Mule UTV and my 1991 f-150 project truck!.

I have 4 in my 2005 f150 hooked up to a pioneer head unit. These are super loud and have good sound quality. My speakers are louder than my brothers who has 4 skar audio in his truck. I can turn the music all the way up and I have not blown one yet.

I brought these speakers to upgrade The sound in My 2001 F150 and they sound great. Im upgrading my amp next and then I can really tell you what they are all about but so far so good. Would definitely recommend these if your on a budget.

Bought these taking a gamble, knowing I liked Vega home speakers. Put two sets of these and a Vega 10 Sub in my Mazda B2200 and it sounds like my little truck is a small concert venue. Very pleased. Also if youre not one for big bass these speakers sounded great on their own before the sub.

The sound difference between the stock speakers and these are evident as soon as I turn on my radio. And for the price this is an incredible purchase. Sounds like the system belongs in a more expensive car.

These are some really nice speakers! The sounds quality is amazing. I was actually pretty surprised by how clear they sounded. I have two 6 1/2 JL Audio coaxial speakers in my car too and I think these sound way better.

And theyre a third the price of JLs. Im very happy with them and definitely recommend them to anybody looking to upgrade their system.

First time buying Cerwin Vega speakers, but always heard positive things about them. These 6x9s blown my mind and Ive been into car audio for 25+ years! The price caught my eye and figured Id give them a shot and they are worth every penny! They amazed me so much after installing them that I ordered the 5.

Anything Cerwin Vega is good. I bought these to replace some cheap Boss speakers that I put in my work car a few years ago. They sound much better than the Boss speakers do. I’ve always been a fan of Cerwin Vega products.
