20 Best Cfm Ceiling Fan (2022 Updated)

This ceiling fan is really just the perfect size for a smaller room such as an office or bedroom. This fan has been such a welcome addition to my home office space. It came with instructions and the assembly and installation were quite simple to follow.

We had it installed and working in about a half hour. I love that it also has a reverse direction option to it’s great for circulating air or for cooling a room. It’s 3 speed motor is really quiet which makes it the perfect option for a smaller space as well.

It has a great, modern look and really made my office space look great. I’m really happy with both the size and look of this ceiling fan. A larger, full sized option would have just been too large for this space.

This one is just perfect and does a great job of cooling.

I think this fan is so cute, it is smaller than our other ceiling fan and has only 3 blades. But, this size is perfect for our daughters room. It fits just right in there. Having only 3 blades also reduces the amount of energy needed to cut back on the cost to run.

It looks so nice and works so well. When standing near the fan it gives off just as much air and feels just like any other larger ceiling fan. It has the same powerful wind production and looks wonderful.

It did take a bit to put together and install but you will have that with any electrical product you want to install. It wasn’t any harder than expected. I love this and would recommend to everyone!.

We recently made some renovations to our home and have been looking for a smaller bronze fan light combo for a downstairs bedroom. I am so glad we came across Honeywell’s 30” Ocean Breeze Ceiling fan! It has three speed reversible motor as well as reversible blades- light oak/chestnut for versatility and decor choice.

It’s a timeless modern look which will age well. It comes in a compact box, easy to lift and move and is the perfect size for smaller spaces. It packs a lot of power still and is perfect for keeping the AC off but the bedroom cool.

You can’t go wrong for the look, quality, size and power. This fan has it all!.

Installed two of these fans in a 3-car garage primarily to reduce heating costs and improve comfort in the winter. Installation was easy and the fan assemblies seem well built and sturdy. Purchased this model because it was advertised as an “outdoor” type, but I see that the fan blades are not plastic or steel but rather fiber board so I do have some concern about them saggy over time from the impact of high humidity.

They are working well initially but we’ll see how they hold up over time.

Replaced old screened in porch fan with this one. Easy to install, directions and diagrams are very helpful laying out parts and finding the screws, and accessories. This is not my first Hunter fan, so I have done this before.

Everything came in packed very good, and wrapped. I questioned the 3 blades, but it beat the old one with more blades hands down. This is my second Hunter purchase this year. Replacing old huge out of date fans.

BAF, quite frankly, manufacturers the bet residential fans in my opinion (maybe commercial, too, but I don’t have experience with that). You can buy cheeper, but you can’t buy better. We purchased another manufacturer’s top quality fans years ago.

They were good quality, installed relatively easily, and were pretty quiet over their lifetime. However, they simply do not compare to BAF. I replaced those fans, installing 5 Haiku L fans in our house; and will be purchasing a Haiku for our family room in the future.

Each fan is packaged well, comes with everything needed, including tools, and easy-to-follow instructions for assembling the fan and installing it. Build quality is superior to anything else; usage is simple; and the fans are absolutely silent, even on high.

Their customer service, if ever needed, is also the best of all commercial products for which I’ve ever needed to contact customer service. They answer the phone, walk you through anything you need, and follow up, when needed, to be sure everything is perfect.

I have had a Haiku fan for about two months. The fan looks great. This is a plus. It also moves quite a bit of air. Also a plus. The motor is very quiet. Now, at speeds 4 and above (7 total), fan blades make helicopter-like whoosh-whoosh-whoosh sound that makes it hard to use in the bedroom.

The tech support says it is normal for this fan and I agree: this helicopter like sound is a limitation of 3-blade design. Also, buy this fan if you want to be awakened by loud plastic rattling. The plastic light cover gets loose after a couple of weeks and start resonating, needing re-setting, usually in the middle of the night.

So if you like to be awakened by poorly assembled parts rattling, buy this fan. My $100 Walmart fan’s motor is louder, but it is ultimately quieter than this overpriced creation.

I have several BA fans and have been pleased. But, the most recent. an $1800 Haiku. was defective. We only discovered this after I paid the professional electrician $140. 00 to remove the old fan, install the new one, test and retest, contact BA customer service.

and then un-install and pack and return the defective fan. Yes, I was sent a new fan and yes the install was cheaper ($70) but I am now out more than $200 because the initial fan was defective. No reimbursement even though I sent the invoice to CS.

This Honeywell Bonterra fan is absolutely beautiful. The light itself on the fan looks very expensive and gives it an excellent appearance of being high end. However the price point on this fan is very affordable.

We install the fan and it took about an hour doing it very slow as it was one of our first fan installations overall it was very easy to do. The remote control is wonderful to have because we put this in our bedroom and we can easily turn the fan blades up or down to get more airflow and turn the lights on or off.

Another feature that I absolutely love is that the fan fan blades are changeable such that you can have a light shade or a dark shade. We intended to use the dark shade in our bedroom however as we were installing it I actually decided that the light shade looked better and I would not have imagined that if we were purchasing a fan with only one option having two options really makes this wonderful because you could change the look for the seasons if you wanted to very easily.

The fan was actually very quiet in operation as well which was important to my husband. Overall it was a great addition to our bedroom very stylish especially with the brush nickel on the light I have had very many compliments on how the light looks alone as it does look very expensive.

I have a feeling after putting this fan in we are going to be switching out some of our other ones for remote control fans as well!.

I recently replaced the old, outdated ceiling fan in my bedroom with a Honeywell Bonterra 52-in Brushed Nickel LED Indoor Ceiling Fan with Light Remote (5-Blade) and it has made a huge difference in updating the room.

The included, dimmable LED bulbs have better illumination than my previous light, so my bedroom is now brighter. This fan is quiet, quieter than the fan that was there previously and this one is reversible, so it circulates the air well in my bedroom, keeping it cool and comfy, and warm and cozy in the winter.

I love that I can control the three speeds and the light output with the included remote control. The five blades are reversable, with two different color options, one lighter, one darker. The installation instructions were easy to follow and putting it in was easy.

It is a beautiful addition to our home.

I built a new house and this was my third fan, the first two from other stores and other brands, had motor issues. This fan was really strong, good quality and super quiet. I would highly recommend this fan, it gets an A+ for me in all areas.

I have read many reviews on this fan claiming there is not much air moved. I totally disagree. I installed it in my room w 16′ ceilings, a 4′ drop bar, and the fan moves plenty of air. The only thing I can think of for the bad review is the fan comes with a 1′ drop bar which does not allow enough air above the fan to move air.

Fan is very nice – well constructed, well packed and clear instructions. I do wish that it had higher or stronger speeds. I have an older basic Hunter fan (std bedroom size) and it produces more down force air.

We have an 18×22′ area that I’ve never been able to cool comfortably except for one or two people directly under the fan. It finally did the right thing and died (after twenty years) and I began a search.

At first blush to see this fan you are likely to think you’ll need to tie down the furniture. The truth is that while it does move a lot of air, you don’t feel it blowing air on you. Nor do you hear it.

You can read a book underneath it and the pages stay put. What does happen however, is while you begin to feel a breeze, you aren’t sure from where. People have sat down outside and remarked about how nice it is that we have a breeze coming through the area.

We have a new architecturally designed “accounts receivable” office which is roughly 25′ x 25′ with a pitched ceiling that, at the high point is 18′ and at the low point 10′. The employees working in this area are cold in the winter and hot during the summer.

Management was amazed how well the fan has worked and with the design they now feel that it has enhanced the architectural appearance. I am now hoping to install more throughout the building. Another feature is that the fan is controlled by a hand held remote control which means that only one designated person has all the control and not the other 10 people working in this area.

The best recommendation I can give is that if asked I would buy this fan again.

This fan is surprisingly quiet. So far, I believe this fan is good quality. I like the Industrial Farmhouse look of this and it goes very well with my current living room decor. It was easy to install.

The base and motor are a bit large for my taste. This also indicates it would fit well in medium to large rooms but I think it would be a better fit in large rooms. I like the option to select either blade color as they are reversible.

I chose the gray/tan option. The remote is taking a bit to get used to, but with more time I’ll get the hang of it. I love the speed options, and that this can be used in all four seasons. So far, it’s a little bit of a dust collector, especially the black cage piece.

Overall, this is a good edition if you are looking to add a fan to your home.

Mill’s had the best price, hands down. The fan’s are amazing! They move air better than any fan I have ever installed. Installing the fan it’s self, was the easiest ceiling fan install ever, hands down.

The controll is a different story. Now, it is also easy to install but it is wider than a normal switch. So if you are installing it in a double or triple switch box, you need to do some planning, and make some changes.

( I did read that there is a different control box out there, that is much smaller/stylish that will work. Just do an internet search for this model fan and you will find the thread where an owner used an alternate switch, he even gives the part number) After installation, I was very impressed with the fans (I purchased 2).

I love that the blades are also stainless steel, so they will never sag or droop like most other fans. To sum it up; PRO’S = Well constructed. Powerful (lot’s of air movement). 5 speeds. Nice appearance.

No complications or mistakes with the order.

Fans are of good quality. My only problem are the different speed settings. These fans have 5 different settings, I feel the lowest setting of 1 runs to fast. Fans were purchased to keep the heat pushed down from the 16 foot ceiling height in a garage in the winter.

On the lowest setting they move a serious amount of air and would never need a higher setting for winter. The summer months are coming up and the other speeds may work great and be necessary. With that being said I also feel there should be a wider range of speeds between 1 – 5.

They do a great job of pushing the heat down from my 16 foot ceilings in the cabins garage and feel they are a great value.

Needed a simple white fan without a light to move air around, couldn’t find one anywhere till I found this one. Works great!!! Bought 4 of them. They each came with a speed control and about a 12″ drop rod.

I hooked all 4 of mine up to 1 control, seems to work just fine. Price was reasonable as well.

Love everything about this fan. the look, functions, & quality. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I am not crazy about is the remote. It does not have an actual On/Off button. you have to increase the fan speed for it to turn on.

It also seems to be temper-mental so it’s like each time I go to use it I’m not sure how it will react. I actually have better luck using the app & Alexa to operate but my power got shut down during my remodeling and think I may need to repair since those smart options are non-responsive at the moment.

I purchased this fan for an exterior covered patio. I am very disappointed by the lack luster performance. When the fan is in the high speed setting I care barely feel any air flow. I have had better luck with inexpensive box fans.

I do NOT recommend this product. On a positive note it does look nice.

Received this fan and installed. Fan did not work so called their tech center and they sent a new receiver and remote. Took fan apart to install new receiver and fan still did not work. Called tech center and they sent whole new fan.

I then took down the fan and reinstalled the new fan, and it finally worked. The tech group was great, but for a fan that was over $600, their quality really sucks. I spent numerous hours putting this fan up and taking it down, then putting it up again.

They really need to put some effort in their QA. I feel I should be reimbursed for all my hours of installing this fan.

I was prompted to write a review, so all I can really say is in the title. This is a fine product if you need or want a ceiling fan & the price was right at the time of purchase. It’s not awsome, but it does the job.

The motor is reversable so the unot works for both summer & winter. Also it’s decent-looking. Unless you want a fan with a variable-speed motor (this one has three speeds) or are in need of a special look for where you need to place it, this fan will serve well for most purposes.

Easy installation. Quiet. Moves air adequately in our medium size room. Reasonable price. Inside the housing has a place for the remote transmitter, which according to the installer is a great feature, although the remote option is an additional charge and has to be ordered separately.

Also I’d like to avoid the pull chains hanging down as we only use the optional remote.

This is a replacement fan for an old, noisy, Hampton Bay fan. Runs without any noise, light kit offers plenty of light, and it is attractive. I have the white blades down, don’t know why anyone would want the brown blades against a white fixture and ceiling.

I needed a handyman to install.

This fan is expensive. It has been installed in my master bedroom. My wife, who requires air movement at night to sleep, turns this fan on every night. Let me start with looks. This fan is gorgeous. It just pops off our white ceiling and the design is beautiful.

I could not be happier with that aspect of the fan. Everyone notices it. So style and look is wonderful. The operation of the fan is flawless. Changing frequency is a breeze. The light is bright, able to be dimmed and easy to use.

The 6 speeds with reverse is more than adequate for our needs. Which brings me to my issue with the fan. It was a first virtually silent. We have been using it for about 45 days now. In the last few days it has developed a pronounced noise/tick that is load and distracting.

I have no idea what has prompted this behavior. Rather than helping with sleep it now deters it. I suspect we will not be able to live with it. So rather than the 5 star I would like to give it I have to give it two instead.

My style is a bit modern / minimalist / industrial, so I’ve been on the hunt for a fan that is simple and clean in style. The Minka Simple fits the bill, but I was looking for something with just a bit wider blade span, so I chose the Aviation.

The blades of this fan are a bit more substantial than I expected, but it is a really lovely fan. I ordered the fan in the brushed nickel and silver blades. In comparison to the Minka Simple (which I have in another room), the blades appear to be a bit lighter in color than the body of the fan, but they blend nicely.

The fan also moves air very well! This is the third product (2 fans, 1 outdoor table) I have purchased from Lumens, and I have been very pleased with my experience to date. Shipment (especially for fans) is extremely quick, and the customer service has been great.

This is the second aviation ceiling fan we have purchased. We put one into a weekend home about 7 years ago and have loved it and received rave reviews for it since. After moving into a new primary home a month ago one of the first things we did was order an Aviation fan to replace the monstrosity in our living room.

I really like the look of this fan. It is stylish and really fills out the room. It has reversible blades and between the two color schemes, I believe this will fit best with contemporary and farmhouse styles.

I have installed quite a few fans and found this install to be no different than a normal installation, but it is easier to have a second person when adding the blades. I have this installed in our living room and we received compliments from company we had over last weekend.

The remote has large buttons and it is easy to operate. There are three fan speeds and on the high speed, the fan is still quiet. The LED light is 2700K, so it is more on the warm side. The fan doesn’t push a lot of air, but since we rarely have a need to cool this room down, it is acceptable as is.

I am satisfied with the design and the ease of operation of this fan and think it would make a good addition to larger rooms.

Let me start by saying this Ceiling fan is massive and will definitely be the focus point of whatever room you’ll put it on. The industrial look and matte black finish blends well with all type of decor.

Assembling was pretty simple, all of the screws fit right on the holes, so the blades were easy to put on the brackets just time consuming. Like with all ceiling fans, installation requires patience, time, effort and a little bit of knowledge.

It was a 2 person job due to the size and weight. Make sure to read all the instructions and set all you need before starting to install, watching a video about it might be helpful as well. The motor is reversible, I’ll be using on just one direction to avoid having to mess with the setting Has a good air flow and is very quiet.

You are able to choose between 3 speeds and even on the highest mode it does not vibrate or gives that annoying humming sound other ones make while rotating. You operate the fan with the remote control.

Make sure not to loose it as this is the only way to change fan speed and dimm the light. The built in led light provides just enough illumination, I would have like it brighter but that is just my personal preference.

Overall this is a beautiful accent piece that will not only look aesthetically pleasing but also be functional and of great value. I’m very happy with how it works and how it looks. I’ll recommend.

Let’s be honest, this is an expensive fan. The pros – you get what you pay for. The build quality is outstanding, it is very elegant in a modern way once installed and the fan is silent even at high speeds except for the air flow it creates.

The cons – the directions are incomprehensible. Apparently they were translated from another language into English because some of the sentences don’t make any sense. The pictures are particularly unhelpful.

And the order in which things are to be done (like putting the safety cable as the last item in the directions which it should be step two or three), are really frustrating. I’m ordering a second one in spite of these issues.

Great fan. Terrible instructions which lead me to believe this product was not made in the U. S. but perhaps was just assembled here.

It took a long time for me to get this super expensive ceiling fan/light installed. Now that it is, I have to remove it due to the extremely harsh downlighting that no one can tolerate. Yes, the fixture is stunning and modern looking.

I’ve never seen another as beautiful. But the lighting hurts our eyes and gives us headaches. I’ve never experienced anything like this before with lighting. I recommend the fan — but without the lighting option.

The wall control is a tad quirky until you get used to it. I like the multiple speeds and dimming mechanism. As stated before, this unit with tax was almost $1K. I’m trying to figure out some options.

Really took a chance on this and ordered 3 of these very expensive ceiling fans to replace older Hunter Original fans that were still operational but had remotes that were not. The fans look great, are very quiet , and circulate a tremendous amount of air even on the middle setting of the 6 setting range.

My electrician installed them and said they were fairly easy to put up. So I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons: 1) Programming the remote was very difficult and time consuming and 2) Minor point here but the remotes have Roman numerals instead of numbers.

For a fan that looks so contemporary I find it odd that the remote looks ancient. If I could give 4 and a 1/2 stars I would do that because the fans themselves are excellent and perform as expected for something this pricey.

We were looking for a ceiling fan with a sleek design and urban barn feel. This fan is perfect! It looks fabulous in our bedroom and is incredibly silent. It’s a little pricey, but ultimately worth the investment.

The delivery to our address in rural Québec, Canada was slightly tricky, as the fan is delivered in two boxes and ours seemed to journey separately across the States. The Houzz team were very helpful when one of our parcels ended up going walkabout nevertheless.

Beautiful design. Straight forward installation. The wall control is included but not necessary if you have the fans wires to a switch already (I was replacing old fans), because you can control everything from the app in your phone.

Air flow is ok, not great. Happy with the purchase.

100 % useless. Don’t wast your 1k. Have it on a 9’ ceiling. ( Outdoor kitchen) At only 40 RPM there is no noticeable movement of air. Totally disappointed.

The fan fit and finish are great. The problem I have is with the air flow. You can only feel any air movement directly under the fan. The fan is super quiet but It just does not turn fast enough. My fan is mounted about 22 feet off the floor.

Blades in barn wood are beautiful, lightweight but sturdy bc of their shape and dimension. The white housing with barnwood blade goes well with my minimalist aesthetics. Seemed moderately easy installation bc my electrician did not have any issues.

He was initially unfamiliar with how to connect it to a third party light and fan switch. At first he was going to use the fan control switch that came with the fan, but eventually figured out how to wire it to a more compact lightfan switch I bought to match the rest of the house.

I still have the rest of my renovation to go, but the fans work well when tested and look great. It kept us cool while the rest of electrical work was performed. I had to store the blades away while other construction work is being done.

Excited to finally use them soon.

This is a beautiful fan, I got the white base with the grey barn wood blades for my bedroom. It looks stunning + it’s super quiet. Very heavy though – it is the first time I install a ceiling fan, so my ceiling needed strong reinforcement.

Love the looks of this fan but I was a little disappointed the blades are plastic. Tbh, I didn’t read the details if the description stated this so that would be my fault. Otherwise, looks good and wasn’t too bad to install ourselves.

Very nice fan that was pretty easy to install. The blades are metal – which I was surprised by – but the fan is very quiet when moving.
