20 Best Chainsaw Gas Can (2022 Updated)

At last, a fuel and oil container in one, ideal when working in the woods. It also has a small spares box and a place for tools. The two nozzles for filling the saw are superb, just remove the screw cap of the tank you wish to refill, push the spring loaded nozzle into the opening and the fuel or oil flows in and stops automatically when full.

This works so well, no funnel and no wasted fuel/oil. The two nozzles have a secure twist cap so once the saw is replenished these are just twisted and there is no risk of a leak. A truly brilliant idea.

The only downside that I found was being able to get the fuel/oil mixture just right. There is a moulded in scale on the end of the fuel container but I have no idea what it relates to. The only indication of the 5 litre mark is a sticker on the side with a dotted line for 5 litres.

I use Stihl oil at a 50. 1 ratio for my Husqvarna saw. I fill the fuel can side with a little fuel, pour in one Stilh oil oil bottle then fill to the 5 litre mark on the sticker and give it a good shake and it’s done.

This gives me 5 litres of fuel, more than enough for an afternoons logging. All in all, a great idea and so very useful.

OK, plain, simple and quick review. Better designed than the Stihl version. Less than half the price of the Stihl version. Auto cutoff and non drip spouts work without fail and are included in the purchase price (under 30).

Forget the Stihl (around 70 – 80 all in). Buy the HUSKY! Longer Version Review. Better made than the Stihl version. This “Husky” comes with the auto cut off / non drip spouts for both the Fuel and Oil.

They work extremely well absolutely brilliant. Stihl version comes without auto cut off spouts and if you want them you have to pay around 17. 00 each (or around 35 for both)! Although the Stihl version has a couple of slots for a screwdriver, and files, the Husky has all this but is much better thought out and in addition has another separate compartment for things like extra chain/s spark plugs etc.

The Stihl does not. Not sure why anyone would consider spending more than twice as much for an inferior product, unless of course you’re more interested in the badge?.

I havent dripped or spilt any fuel on my hot chain saw or other power equipment since I have been using this can. Had numerous CA “approved” cans that are just stupidly designed and spill fuel everywhere.

Huge fire hazard on hot equipment. Don’t these fools realize that more than 80% of gas can usage is for mowers and power equipment. The “approved” gas cans also spew gas everywhere all over the paint and ones shoes when you try to put gas a into vehicle.

I called my local husky dealer and asked if I could buy another and he told me they are banned in America because they don’t leak or spill and he can not get them. Stupid people making decisions for the rest of us that have never had their hands dirty.

Go for it, get one you will like it. Came a lot quicker than I expected.

Read prior great reviews and bought this can. Maybe they have bigger stronger hands than me. There is a push down plastic safety tab on the gas cap that needs to clear a bump on the actual can so you can add gas from the pump.

I can’t squeeze it hard enough to clear that spot. I’m gonna recruit one of my adult sons to try and get it off for me. Might cut that safety tab off. But kinda defeats the safety issue. Not much use to me if can’t get the cap open to add gas.

I’m not a frail little flower either. Bought online so didn’t try it before purchase. Disappointing.

The 5 gallon gas container has helped make it easier to fill my car and mower. No more spilling it all over the equipment and myself when trying to pour out the gasoline. The push button control is easy to use with the same hand as you are holding the tank handle with.

This allows me to free up my other hand to help hold the gas can and to raise the bottom up to completely empty out the small amount left in the bottom of the can. the only thing I miss from my other can is that the nozzle is only about 2/3 of the diameter of my old can which it means it takes a little longer when I’m trying to empty the full can.

WOW! Clearly designed by people who USE gas cans for small engines and may not have much upper body strength. Easy to fill at the gas station and SO easy to add gas to my generator and small engine gardening tools.

Wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Worth every penny.

With the exception of the CARB/EPA nozzle, these cans are just short of bulletproof. Unlike the metal US military cans, these just don’t leak. I prefer storing them upright, but they are equally leakproof laying on their sides.

Wavian has several videos on YouTube demonstrating the tests they pass, such as dropping them from heights and even lighting them on fire. I would even go so far as to say they are likely superior to the Scepter cans currently used by the military.

This basic design has been in use since they were designed in the 1930’s and is a time-proven design. Again, ensure you are purchasing a real Wavian can. There is plenty of knock-offs being offered for sale, but they are not the same, and quite possibly dangerous.

The real Wavians have a recessed perimeter weld and are made out of a relatively heavy gauge metal. The knockoffs have a protruding perimeter weld and will not sit level. Additionally, they are of a thinner gauge metal and easily dent and crush.

I highly doubt they would pass the Wavian drop or fire tests. Current legislation requires use of the CARB/EPA nozzles. However, there are a number of vendors selling pre-regulation nozzles if you prefer.

Expensive at $80 is a shocking amount of money to pay for a can. PLUS, to make this thing work properly, I had to buy a Safety Siphon at $15 to avoid the push to pour ridiculousness of the CARB-mandated nozzle.

Once that CARB nozzle is removed, this is an excellent can. I can’t imagine anything better. Seals completely tight; not a drop spilled after filling up and putting it in my back seat – literally couldn’t smell a thing.

Easy to use, mission accomplished.

It took some self training to figure out how the seal cap and spout attached but I took a full can on a very rough 3-day trip through Canyonlands and it didn’t spill a drop or even smell. Fall trip so temps were mellow.

The spout has a spring to keep itself closed that once inserted in the tank just takes some pressure to open and gas comes out. Easy to empty out so the spout angle is good.

This tank is much better constructed than I anticipated. I dont fill it all the way up (1. 75 gallons) but it really brings me peace of mind. There are some roads where I ride where there are MANY miles between fuel stops.

This tank guarantees an additional 50 miles so I wont get stuck. Also, I am able to help other riders who run out of gas. Its design makes it very secure when strapped on to the Sissy bar.

Durable plastic can, easy to fill at the gas pump with the screw on lid. Very easy to use pull out nozzle to fill yard machines with fuel. Economical because you are not losing gas by pouring it all over your intended equipment due to an unweidly and/or difficult to handle spout.

Should’ve bought this a long time ago. The flip spout is con isn’t and easy during fill ups. And the no spill is actually no spill! I was able to fill up lawn mowers and generators with ease with the swivel spout.

I am going to buy two more. Don’t think this is the gas can to get.

I have a lot of outdoor stuff that requires gas. There’s a lot of lifting and holding a 5 gallon can while refueling. The swivel drop down nozzle and vented handle makes it easier for this 71 year old to “save his back”! That’s enough for me to give it a 5 star rating.

Due to the cretins in California that make rules, this is unusable in the present configuration. As mentioned in another review, there is a filter screen on the can. If you are silly enough to want to USE the can, you will find that on the slowest setting, the gas will splash back because the filter is WAY too restrictive.

If you manage to get some gas into the can you will need to enlist a friend to get it out. 6 gallons weighs a bunch. You need a hand to release the safety catch on the nozzle while holding the can for the extended period it will take to drain as the hole in the nozzle is very small.

I received the gas can broke. There is a white cup with holes that looks like a strainer inside the gas can. I saw in the description on Home Essentials Direct something called a “Internal Flame Mitigation Device”.

I went online and saw that this is the part that is broke. Also as described by other reviews the cap is hard to remove and spout is hard to work. What I ended up doing was to remove the rest of the part in the gas can, put on a different spout and everything is fine.

The spout usually leaks but I usually use an electric pump to transfer the gas out of this can. The spout is terrible. Also I had to dig the internal filter out of the can to be able to put a pump into the container.

Thankfully a gas can is a rare purchase. So rare for me that technology has changed since I bought my last one. I’ve always had the spouted type of gas can. I wasn’t even sure how to use this one until I bought it and used it.

This has a push button feature where it safely vents gas fumes. One issue I have is that you have to hold that button in while pouring – unless there’s a shortcut I’m not aware of. There’s a handle on the backside of the container so you can adjust your grip while pouring from a full can.

Another thing I would like is for a longer spout. It would help for someone like me who has back trouble. It’s hard to suspend the container while pouring when the fan is full. If the spout was a bit longer, it would help weaklings like me.

I recommend this container.

I picked up the 5 gallon NO-SPILL can and I was actually shocked by how easy it works ! Put in the car and went and filled it up. I took the time to look at the cap and saw the strainer. Knowing beforehand how well those back up when trying to fill the tank, I pulled it and topped it off.

Because of the weight, I transferred 2 1/2 gallons to my smaller filling can. the push botton control worked as advertised ! No spills, no leaks and very little fumes ! This can is money wells spent as far as I’m concerned !.

In general, I detest the new EPA-mandated gas cans. I had one in the past I liked for a while. that ended up leaking, which is why I ditched it for this one. This one is better than any others I’ve seen as of late.

Why? It is easy to control, fast flow, and has an optional extension end available if you need to use it. Seals nicely when not in use, and easy to figure out and get going without making a mess like some others.

Nice and sturdy design as well.

The whole idea of buying this was for the No-Spill feature on a premium quality gas can which would be worth the higher cost. Not! First off the valve never stopped the flow of gas to prevent a spill like advertised despite following the manufacturer’s instructions and on-line tips.

Every time I’ve poured gas it has overflowed if I didn’t manually stop the flow myself and because of the large valve area it’s more difficult to see beyond the nozzle into the gas tank to see the level so I can stop it in time.

See my video on this review. I even made a warranty claim with the manufacturer on their website and after a bit of back and forth they finally sent me a new nozzle but I had the exact same issue. Also the black screw on cap portion of the nozzle is extremely difficult to screw on to the can to a point where I need to wear leather gloves or need to use a wrench.

Clearly the threads don’t match like they should. I wonder if this is part of the overflow/leak problem as one can’t get a good seal onto the can so it continues to vent through that point preventing the normal valve action from stopping the flow and occasionally leaking there as well.

I’ve written the company about this but haven’t received an answer yet. But my advice is to stay away and use an alternative product if you don’t want the hassle of dealing with this like I, and so many others, have had.

Never spilled as much fuel as i do with these California cans! 2. 5g was missing the very small O ring under the cap. First fill gas was leaking as a steady dripping. Had to order O ring from manufacture as no one stocks the thin odd size.

Other No Spill cans I fixed by removing the strainer as it causes gas to splash out when filling. Second drilled a hole and installed a vent allowing better air flow. As designed the air must bubble up into the can to displace the fuel.

Seems to me your aerating more fuel into the atmosphere by bubbling. Once fixed and with constant attention to the O rings falling off they work very well.

Finally a user friendly, truly no leak gas container. Can be filled easily once you learn how to operate the a commercial pump spout manually (ask for assistance) and fill slowly. The side viewing shows fuel level while you are filling the unit.

The top is easily replaced. At the work site it is manageable and does not leak gas at the black cover. The spout pours well and the fuel release (opening/closing valve) can be controlled easily. I am a grandmother (old) and this is the best unit I have used ever.

It was a God-send for my generator use for a six day power outage. A 2. 5 gallon unit is the heaviest I could manage, I bought two.

I purchased two of these 2 gal packs. One really has a tight threaded lid and you need to be Hercules to tighten it. The other one threads fine. One leaked from the lid right away (the one that threaded fine) the other leaked after about 3 months.

Overall I am pretty disappointed. They look tidy and mount well but leaking lids make them useless. The seals seem fine so I am not sure if it is just a bad design or loose tolerances in manufacturing.

The safety spout system is a bit of joke too with a little locking mechanism. Just make it a bloody spout. -m-2014 KTM 690 ENDURO–.

Both units leaked. Both fuel fillers arrived failed, when the nozzle is inserted and unlocked, more fuel flows around the valve and onto the ground than into the fuel tank. So I purchased two things while overlanding in Moab, i) a funnel to simply pour the fuel front the rotopax directly into the tank, and ii) i found a replacement fuel filler that works great.

If I could return these items I would, I am switching over to a different Jerry Can arrangement and getting rid of the rotopax.

I plan to take many extended camping and off road excursions in the foreseeable future and needed water and gas canisters that I could easily lift onto the roof of my truck or rack on my shell. I didn’t want to put them on the tailgate or inside the shell because I don’t expect (except for water) to be using them regularly and didn’t want to deal with having to unlock or swing out another steel bracket to get into the back of my shell.

Because I have Parkinson’s Disease I am limited to how much weight I can lift or carry so wanted it broken down into smaller sized containers of no more than 2 gallons at a time. This kit is mounted to a Thule Canyon roof rack and because there are few instructions and/or vids available on how to mount these I was taking a leap of faith they would fit my rack.

They did work without mods and everything was really pretty easy to set up. The quality is great but buy factory seconds if they are available as they are completely functional and will save you some dollars.

Many options are available if you want larger containers. The only negative is they are pretty expensive.

I’m 62 years old and these are absolutely the best gas cans I’ve ever used. I purchased one a couple of years ago, and even though I have several other brands that are perfectly fine, I’ve replaced all of them with Fuelworx.

My only complaint is that they’re rather expensive, but the first time you use one, you won’t regret spending twice as much as cheaper brands. No more glugging, aerating, or holding the can at odd angles for long periods of time.

I’ve always been a user of the tall, square-based “race cans” for fuel. Bought one of these out of interest about 2 years ago, they are all I use now. The sealed spout is great for wrestling into awkward positions without spilling or trying to use 1 hand to direct a hose.

And having a real vent means it fills about 5x faster than other EPA/CARB cans I’ve tried that vent back up the spout (for that painfully slow glug. glug. ).

This is the best gas can I have ever used. The stacking feature saves so much space. The gas really does empty in less than a minute and there is no splashing or chugging. I only owned about 2 weeks but gas wasn’t in it for more than 3 days so not sure how it will hand expansion but the plastic is thick and it looks like there is enough space when filled to fit about.

25 gallons to allow for expansion. On top of that, I contacted the manufacturer about buying some solid caps and they said the would mail them to me free of charge. Very impressed with the customer service.

Will buy a few more after this.

With two handles it is much easier to dump the fuel out. I would not use it for anything that doesn’t have a significant size tank. My first use of it was leak free. 2nd not so much. Considering taking back for round 2 but I don’t really think the seals will be better on any of them.

I was transfering fuel from one vehicle to another. I jumpered the fuel pump relay to empty my car tank to fill this jug and with the strainer inside, well, that’s kind of nice especially when fueling.

However, that limits any siphon hose sticking in there. Especially with a coiled up hose that doesn’t want to relax. Best clip the bottom siphon hose to the upper handle of the can with a snap clamp, etc.

You can’t remove the strainer that I know of. Put a rag under it. If you wipe the fuel and are ready to clean whatever you are filling. well. more work. but not the end of the world. It also has the red safety switch that must be pressed in before you can shove the tank nozzle into any fuel tank, or filler.

The hook is just above that red switch on the spout in the picture is then pressed into the tank lip to release the fuel to flow. As you then shove this thing into a tank that lip catches on the tank /filler neck lip the goo goes into the tank.

The red safety switch is kind of stiff and really is unneeded holding shut the spout hook valve from being pressed in. I am considering cutting the red safety switch it off with a diamond cutter. (don’t try this at home kids – you will die.

:P) None of my other tanks have this ‘feature’. It is not externally vented so that makes it kind of slow to empty. Pour, gulp, pour, gulp, pour, gulp. But the two handles were important to me. THis type of spout is on everything now.

Push hook to displense. You can see the hook in the picture and then imagine how much nozzle has to be shoved in further. Shallow tank? Then you have to move the spout with a hand and then try to dump the fuel into your tank.

I have a loyalty credit for the price of the tank and I needed that capacity, so. It might be ok for a motorcycle. If you go in with your eyes open and know what you are getting and what the competition is for the value then you can make a decision.

Check for 2 handles only on features. I imagine the durability is good. Oh and power, yes, it is a very powerful fuel gas can. I rode it to work and got there faster than my audi s5 cabriolet and it only holds 5 gallons so big plus on economy.

(i. e. some of the reviews, etc, choices don’t always make sense). And also on power, if you check the fuel level in the can with the spout off and use a lighter, match, cigarette or blow torch, well, the power of the explosion with 5 gallons of fuel is pretty good.

Better for quick ignition is, 2 gallons so there are a lot more fumes. excellent power. I haven’t tested that feature yet.

Used once and it leaks at the spout. Had to cut the red part off of the spout as it was to hard to push in when the can was tipped. You needed 3 hands to operate it. Than you had to push the spout in to open the spout so it would pour.

When I pushed the spout against the mower gas tank opening the weight of the full can twisted the spout and the washer came off the spout and it leaked all over. I kept replacing the washer but it kept twisting off.

I could not return the can as it had gas in it and EPA says they can’t except it back in the store. I could not put another spout on the can as it is made different and other spouts would not fit. I have a can that is worthless to me.

I found this gas can at HF while looking on the net for a 5 gallon can, the next best price was $5. 00 more and a longer distance away to get. We are comparing apples to apples as both cans were by the same manufacturer with the same part number.

I like to keep spare gas on hand as my wife drives about 28 miles each way to work and this day and time you never know when the availability will dry up due to a industrial hack or a power outage. (Once a prepper, always a prepper) Environmentialists will probably cringe at the idea of gas sitting around that is not in the ground or your car tank but let’s face it, everybody cannot afford a EV and the internal combustion engine does not run off of air.

That is my story and I am sticking to it! HF has the best electric chainsaw 2. (IMHO).

I’ve been using vp fuel for a few years now. I cut about 16 cord of wood per year and run pro models saws. It’s always performed well and a pleasant smell with no pump gas fumes that make you sick. Keeps your engines starting year after year even after sitting.

As a long time user I can honestly say it’s worth every penny, yes it is costly but what it prevents is worth the money, if you only use your powered equipment occasionally you need a stable fuel that doesn’t degrade over time.

Well above retail cost of items sold individually added together. You are paying over 40.00 for them to be in a box?

Bought this to mix and fill fuel for my boat. Certainly is fast to empty but for me this is too fast as I put it through a funnel and so had to manually control the rate of flow and couldn’t go full tilt on it.

The nozzle being stored internal is both an advantage in that it keeps it clean and you don’t lose it but also a disadvantage in that you get fuel on your hands when taking it out. The nozzle must have the breather up as marked on it otherwise it will leak when using it.

It seals ok, good locking mechanism but need to tighten past when it engages to ensure no spills. I’ve used it twice upright on sealed roads ~5 min drive and only had it leak a little on the first because it wasn’t on tight enough.

Second time seemed fine. Overall does what I need it to but perhaps for me not perfect.

You may be wondering how something so basic as a gerry can could get poor reviews. Well, you’re right, the can itself is fine! It’s pretty hard to mess up. The problem lies in the design of the spout and cap (spout is available separately PN 28-3060-4).

Because the spout is the only part with a sealing ring, you must have it installed in order to have any sort of seal. The spout does NOT have a screw-on cap, so to close the can you have to insert the spout backwards inside the can, place a gimmicky stopper over it, and then tighten the cap.

To dispense fuel, you undo the cap, remove the stopper, turn the spout around, and pour it. In practical terms this means that the spout is dripping fuel EVERYWHERE (it’s quite a mess), and then when you’re done you have to stick this absolutely filthy spout back INSIDE your fuel that you just got covered in sand and dirt.

Not good! Additionally the spout is extremely rigid so it is impossible to bend to get it in most vehicle fuel necks (partially the material’s fault, partially the odd shape of the thing). My first few attempts spilled quite a bit.

Really disappointing considering the now discontinued Wedco system (PN 02-8306-4) is very simple and easy to keep fuel clean and not spill a single drop. I have a spare of the old-style spouts, but of course, Wedco accessories do not fit Scepter cans.

It appears that Canadian Tire doesn’t sell an actually useful flexible spout for these cans, so I’ll be returning this product and looking for a used Wedco can on Kijiji or something.

My order from HardwareAnd Tool was fantastic. The order process was simple and quick. The product I ordered was a plastic Jerry Gas Can. I needed a thin gas container for a small compartment on my pontoon boat and this can fit perfect.

It is a quality product. I was very pleased with the whole process. Two thumbs up from me!.

I purchased this 5 Gallon gas can today that says it is easy to use. It is not in the least. Being ambidextrous would help. 1. 1st fill up, the gas nozzle wasn’t in fully (my guess), plus there is a mesh filter “cone” or something down in the opening.

During fill up, gas splashed out all over my face and shirt (luckily I wear glasses). I pressed nozzle in a bit further and finished the fill up. 2. Next, pouring without making a huge mess is next to impossible if you use it the way they suggest.

The single handle at the top does not give enough leverage to pour past a certain level while you are trying to squeeze the double safety grip thingy. Even my old gas can has a handle on top and in the back so you can shift your grip.

This new one only has a finger divot underneath to virtually guarantee a slip and a dropped gas can mess. 3. Watching the photo directions, I tried to put gas in my push mower, the gas splashed out all over the top of the mower before I could finally get the flow into the tank.

You have to really decide which hand you need to use. You either use your dominant arm to lift the jug and struggle to use your other hand on the safety spigot or you use your weak arm to try to lift and tilt in a controlled manner in order to make it in the tank.

It’s a lose, lose deal. 4. I bought this gas can with the one final hope that I can use the dummy-proof spout from my “non-Californian”, non safety gas can. But no, the threads are different. They are also coarse threads but maybe they are metric or something.

I cannot make my old spout fit. I would still be using my old gas can but the seam is coming apart at the handle and I don’t want to walk into my shed and see an empty gas can because the side or the bottom seam failed too.

Will be looking towards metal cans in the future unless I find a better design.

Level set here, is this is a gas can, it won’t change your life or revolutionize the way you see pouring gas. If a gas can can effectively hold and pour gas it is good in my book. The smart control container however does bring some nice innovations to the table that anyone that has had to use a gas can will appreciate.

At first glance it looks like a crazy contraption attached to the actual can and seems a little daunting to figure out how it works. You might even think that this is over-solutioning for something that should be simple, but once you use it a couple times you will appreciate the changes.

The new nozzle gives you full control over the gasoline pour and eliminates any of those unwanted residual pours that leave gas trickling down the side of the can and spreading fumes wherever you take the can and spilling onto unwanted surfaces.

It is alot simpler than it appears, just a pull of a lever/push of a button and voila you have full gas control. It also is much better at containing the smell in general while transporting the gas can, a much appreciated added benefit.

Overall a solid gas can with nice feature. Do you need the extras, probably not, but they are nice to have when you inevitably need gas.

I like that this is a two-gallon model. For me, two gallons is just right – neither too large nor too small. However. it is difficult to use. As others have pointed out, getting the gas out of the can is difficult due to the way you need to position your hands to dispense the gas.

The biggest problem I have with this can and the reason I give it just one star is in filling the can at the gas pump. The ‘filter’ in the can causes the gas pump to sense that the can is full and shuts off the pump.

Therefore, you have to start/stop filling the can. I do not recommend this can and will never purchase another Scepter gas can. The design was obviously never tested with real-world users.

After reading previous reviews, it is true the spout requires some figuring out to get it to work right. I like the size at 2. 5 gallons – 5 gallons is too heavy and 1. 25 gallons not enough to refill all the lawn equipment plus spare.

NOTE: warning on the jug that is not shown in any of the advertisements or website – not for on road vehicles. That is a shame because I would have liked to be able to use this gas jug for on road emergencies.

Why not?My guess is that there is no relief valve on the jug so pressure might build up while being stored in the vehicle. Instructions do tell you to point spout away from you and open valve before pouring to release excess pressure.

Also, the spout does not bend or flex to make refilling vehicle tank easier. Ok to refill lawnmower because its tank is on top.

I could not fill this can. There is a plastic strainer basket in the inlet that made gas splash back on my hand and on the ground and made the nozzle cut off no matter how much I tried to fill it slowly.

I could not remove the strainer without tools. I went home stinking of gasoline. After I let the can dry overnight, the store still would not take it back. I am not done; they are getting it back, and I expect to get a refund.

I tried to write a bad review on these no spill gas cans and Walmart would always say there’s an error. I guess they didn’t want bad reviews. These gas cans don’t hold gas for a long time the nozzle is hard to operate and they do spell so I can’t understand all the five star reviews I really can’t.

I just bought these more expensive but more durable and easy to use gas cans they’re called Justrite. They are so wonderful and easy to pour the gas last longer in the steel container. And then you can pass it down to generation after generation it’s that good.

this can seems to be made out of good materials, but it is a very irritating can to use because they have a filter element inside the opening that makes it so you cannot fill it at a gas pump with the pump set even on the lowest setting.

the filter slows down the gas coming into the can so much that you have to hold the nozzle and just barely squeeze it so it trickles into the can, and if you try to squeeze it any faster it automatically shuts off.

this insert should be an option not automatically installed in every can because most people wouldn’t want it. very frustrating and slow!.

These are good. Ive used three of the cans so far. One leaks badly though and I have to remove the spout to dispense gas without spilling it everywhere. The other two are great. Not leaks when dispensing gas and the safety works well.

Not sure about the fourth one.

The can it self is good. It needs a vent because the pour spout is terrible. Too difficult to operate and spills gas. Replace the pour spout and drill a vent hole and you’ll be fine.

This Midwest gas can is great, but the spout is going to get someone hurt! In all of my 64 years, I’ve never seen this level of engineering stupidity! Have your attorney on speed dial, because this product is one of the most negligent designs I’ve ever seen! Don’t buy any of these products that are using this type of spout.

Metal Can seems to be pretty good, but the spout is a problem. Even though I read the directions it’s hard to figure out how it works. I intend to replace it with a different spout and cap

I bought a few of these cans and just filled them up this week. Unfortunately, one of them is leaking and the return window has passed. I would expect them not to leak, especially when dealing with flammable liquids and the fact that they are not cheap and the can is brand new :(.

Note: The item came wrapped in paper with a sticker that said “Made In China”. Which I found very interesting. The can is stamped as being made in Latvia. The can is great. Sturdy and well built. The spout is trash.

It spills gas when you initially press down to fill, when the can is full. If you get past the initial fuel spill, it starts to work fine, but SLOOOOOWWWWW! About 15-20 min to empty 5 gallons. Lots of reviews about this CARB spout being slow and spilling gas.

Nothing new. Wavian has flexible neck style as an option. Not sure why the Anvil brand does not offer it. I plan to buy the Wavian flex neck filler and call it a day. Otherwise you are doing gas can yoga to try and get all the gas out of the can.

Don’t let the nozzle stop you from getting a great can. Happy fueling.

I purchased two of these for transporting race fuel. High quality construction and nice finish for a DOT-approved utility jug. Only minor complaint is that the blue one was pre-labeled for kerosene; however, the sticker was easily removed.

These cans appear to be well made and the paint looks good. I have had them banging around in the back of my truck and they don’t have dents or scratches (yet). The cap mechanism seals tight, as does the spout.

The only problem is the spout clip does not hold the spout tightly, which is fine because it’s in the way of the handle for carrying the can.
