I’ve had this chair for over a month now and wanted to write up an in-depth review of it to hopefully help others! Warning: it’s a bit long. I sit in this chair most of the day (I work from home and it serves as my office and lounge chair) and wanted something ergonomic, with great support, and comfortable for the 8+ hours I use it.

I was debating between this chair and a Secretlab after weeks of research; initially I was looking for a chair with fabric and the Secretlab option was very tempting, but the ergonomic design of this one and the price point (almost $100 USD cheaper than the Secretlab fabric option) made me choose this chair.

I’ll break the review down into parts! The neck rest – I really like the neck rest. It feels a tiny bit too high sometimes, and while the adjustable design sounds great, it doesn’t work quite how I thought.

You have to pull it upwards to change its position/angle and that feels perfect sometimes when I’m leaning back, but it slowly goes back to the resting position because of the weight on it. I’ve placed a towel under it before to keep it there and that works.

It’d be nice if there was a way to keep it in that position. The back – The back feels amazing and the lumbar support is awesome. The mesh is firm and yet has just enough give to make it supportive and comfy, and it definitely helps improve my posture.

It also leans back pretty far and feels very comfortable when I watch something on my tv or computer. The seat – The seat has a good shape to it. It does end about an inch before the bend of my knees, but that hasn’t seemed like an issue.

I often sit cross-legged or with one leg in the seat and to my pleasant surprise this chair feels just fine when I do so, and the arms don’t interfere with that either. I did have a thing for the first few days where my legs almost felt like they were falling asleep; not sure if that was the mesh, the seat shape, or something else (my old chair had zero support and no cushion), but it went away after the first week and since then I haven’t felt it.

The arms – The arms are very adjustable and I love how they feel. At first I was concerned they would be too hard, but I think it works great. I keep them on the lowest setting which feels perfect and have changed their angles at times for more comfort depending on if I was gaming or watching something on the tv.

The wheels – The chair came with two sets of different wheels which was a nice surprise. I put on the rollerblade ones and I loooove them; my chair moves so quietly! I have hardwood floors so I felt they were the better fit.

The mesh – I’ve never tried mesh before, my last office chair was somewhat cheap with fake leather and after seeing how badly it started peeling, I decided I was going to find a fabric chair instead.

Then I came across mesh chairs. After more research I figured either option would work fine, but was still hesitant about trying something with mesh. How would it feel? How would it hold up? It felt a bit odd at first, but after a couple weeks I got used to it and even wearing shorts while sitting in it feels comfortable.

It leaves a slight pattern on my legs but nothing I’m bothered by. The mesh on the back and neck rest also feels very nice. I’m curious to see how it feels during the warmer summer months! Conclusion: The chair is very supportive and pretty comfortable, and stays that way for my 8+ hours in it every day.

I think it’s a very good option for the price and haven’t regretted it. Possibly a slight manufacturing error, I notice the arms are slightly uneven in terms of one is a bit closer to the center than the other, but it hasn’t been an issue and since they’re adjustable I’ve been able to make them the same distance apart.

Only thing that could currently use a bit better design is probably the adjustability of the neck rest. Anyways fingers crossed this chair lasts me for many years!.

The rollerblade style wheels that let me glide on carpet! Adjustable headrest in both height and angle. The seat is incredibly comfortable and so much cooler than my old leather chair because of the mesh type of construction.

Nice padded armrests that move in several directions. Most importantly is the lumbar support it offers me. I have several crushed vertebrae in my lower back and adequate lumbar support was an absolute must.

I’ve had this chair about a month now and it’s a huge step up from my previous chair. I’m 6’0, 190lbs with an athletic build and this chair just fits me. Anyone taller will be running a little past this chairs comfort zone, but anyone less will be fine.

The mesh is springy, comfortable, and keeps me nice and cool. Assembly was pretty standard for an office chair and the build is sturdy with little to no squeaks or creaks. I did reverse the arm rests from left to right & vice versa so I could move closer to my desk and while it’s not intended it works perfectly for me.

The lumbar is also spot on. It’s present but not obtrusive like some other chairs out there and it promotes good posture. All in all, it’s a great chair and worth the investment. The only thing I would change about this chair would be to add a tiny bit of foam(like the front of the chair has) to the sides of the seat to alleviate your legs touching the far edges of the frame that’s beneath the mesh.

This is a very minor annoyance though(plus I’m on the top end of what this chair is spec’ed for) and I’ve grown more accustomed to it over time.

Its got all the bells and whistles and is quite comfortable with plenty of adjustments to suit anybody. The seat is plush and I love the headrest. It rolls perfectly fine on my Berber rug and I have actually gotten comfortable enough to fall asleep in the chair.

Would highly recommend. I did a lot of searching and when it comes down to it, if you can’t go to the store to try it out, get the chair that fits everyone. Hbada is a solid brand.

When I was hunting for a chair this was pretty much the best I could find under 300 CAD. My previous chair broke at the base due to cheap welding (Dowinx) This one has much better movement, though it feels really weirdly ‘springy’ in it’s tilt back/forward/down function.

I needed to *add* a back pillow as the back doesn’t curve in enough at the base to properly support at a computer, and the stuffing flattens there quickly. Arms are not adjustable, but that’s not a deal breaker for me.

The massage feature is nice, deep, and rumbly. I wish it was slightly more intense, however, I realize at some point you’re sacrificing quiet operation for power, this one is the perfect spot between the two.

I can’t honestly complain because it manages to rumble the back pillow I’ve added, and that’s a pretty good sign it works well. The heater isn’t super hot. Not even as intense as a warming car seat or a low setting on a heating blanket, so it really won’t factor in on the ‘massage’ features of the chair.

You’ll still want to throw a blanket over your lap if you get cold, and it might keep the leather from freezing in the winter on you. I haven’t had this chair for more than a month. It seems fairly sturdy, and The Bay carries this brand, so I’m betting on it being reasonable quality.

The chair did come with about 3 gashes along side that bottom (only reason it’s getting one star down from me) the wood that must have happened during delivery, but, hopefully, no one is going to notice it since it’s at the bottom of the chair.

Wish they were more careful with the delivery process. The chair looks really official/ sleek/expensive in my government office. Love the quality and feel of the leather and what’s made to look like wood (not sure if it’s actual wood or not), but it looks fancy and matches other wooden-like things in my work area.

IšverstiShow in original languageThe Good: the wheels move freely and don’t get jammed. The arm rests that lift up and away are a good feature when you wish to move the chair close to a desk. The Bad: The tension spring attached to the seat plate is poorly engineered because it takes too much force to lean back, no matter how much you loosen it.

Removing the tension spring solves the problem, if you can get a blow torch to remove it. ALSO, I had to return the plate for another reason—-the plastic spring tension handle was shattered. The Ugly: The left elbow rest was loose when I installed it.

After a few months, it got worse and would not even withstand downward pressure. I’m going to request a replacement. When I first received the chair, I already had to ask for the right number of screws (two were missing) and that took 6 weeks for them to mail it.

I’m expecting more problems after dealing with customer service previously. To sum up, this is a good chair on paper, but it was never tested by the people who designed it. Quality control and customer service also suffers.

IšverstiShow in original languageI’m 6′-0″ and weigh about 270 lbs. (I wish reviewers would include relevant information like this to help others. Just sayin’) I’ve used this chair in my office for about 7+ years now.

The leather just started peeling from the seat about a year ago. I’m sad about that, but it lasted longer than expected. I like this chair so much; I found myself here because I’m looking for a replacement seat.

After reading the other reviews and some of the issues people have had, the rest of this wordy review might help some. I bought it because of all the research I did on good office chairs for larger men.

I kept reading that lumbar support is one of the hallmarks of a good office chair. So, I bought this chair because of the great reviews and lumbar support. The lumbar support was awkward at first. It kept pushing me forward.

I told myself that maybe I’ve never had good lumbar support and don’t know what it feels like. I chalked it up to just being something new I need to get used to. After probably a year of fighting it, I finally got fed up.

The lumbar support was never going to get better. Since the chair was way beyond any return warranty. My DIY instinct took over. I looked at the chair to see what I can do. The solution was super easy.

I just removed the lumbar support. Since I put the chair together, it was easy to take it apart and reassembled it without the lumbar pad. As I recollect, I just removed the lumbar pad—the bracket which held the pad was still needed to reassemble the chair.

The only concern I had, was the bracket sticks up a little between the back and the seat. But I’ve been using the chair for years and have never felt it, and it’s never been an issue. That was the ticket to making this the best office chair I’ve ever had.

I know I bought the wrong chair. I listened too much to reviews without fully understanding what they were actually talking about. Apparently, I didn’t need that much lumbar support. But, I didn’t know, and it was a learning experience.

Luckily it wasn’t a total waste of money since it was easily fixable. I say, remove the lumbar support if it’s bugging you.

IšverstiShow in original languageIf I cold give this chair negative stars I would. It is miserably uncomfortable. I very carefully checked the specs prior to purchasing to make sure the seat depth would be sufficient.

And it probably would be if not for the so-called lumbar support cushion. Because of that cushion I can’t sit far enough back in the seat to be in a comfortable position. The lumbar cushion is hard and unyielding and pushes me forward to the extent I can’t even rest my back against the chair! I’m bracing myself not slide off and I’m getting horrible cramps in my thighs and lower back.

The only reason I haven’t returned it is because it’s already assembled and I can’t get it out of my house and into the car. I certainly expected better from Serta!.

Ordered and received my S5 Chair in less than a week. Well packaged, and interior protection for the parts. Assembly instructions were easy to follow, with a well-labelled parts kit. I loved the inclusion of spare parts — just in case.

Parts are heavy to manage by yourself, so some folks may need a third hand with some parts of assembly. Chair is comfortable, with a myriad of adjustments and features. Mesh fabric seems durable and easy to clean.

Good value for the money. A great purchase experience.

This chair was not nearly as comfortable as i would have liked. First they sent the wrong color chair. I was offered a $50 rebate due to this. That was a very kind gesture. But this does not fix the issues with the chair.

the lumbar support CAN NOT be adjusted. every time you lean back the lumbar support is pushed the the bottom setting and can not be locked. the arm rests are unusable because they are about 12 inches away from where my arms would like to rest.

The lumbar support needs to have adjustments. One setting does not fit all. I was fortunate enough to receive a full refund! I would not recommend this chair but that does not mean it will not work for you.

It just did not work for me. I will say it is a very nice and helpful staff, just choose a different one of their chairs.

This is a very nice, high quality chair for the price. It looks good, but most importantly it works very well in terms of supporting your body for long days of computer work. The seat foam provides good pressure relief and the seat feel very sturdy and stable.

The lumbar support is working well and easy to adjust during the day. This is on the same level as a Herman Miller or Knoll chair but at a fraction of the cost. Packaging was also done professionally.

All the parts were properly protected and assembly was quite easy. Very nice job EazeeChairs!.

IšverstiShow in original languageThe assembly was very easy and quick to do. After I sat in my chair to adjust it to my preferred settings the tilt tension knob stripped out and would not work at all.

I called the store and arranged an exchange to get a new chair. A few hours later I build my 2nd chair of the day and got back to adjusting its settings when the back lumbar support completely rips out into my hands.

It looks like whoever drilled in the plastic screws in the lumbar support just let loose and stripped out all the holes. After painstakingly reattaching the lumbar support, I am now typing this poor review of the same chair I’m sitting in.

Overall, It seems to be a good chair in terms of being comfortable to sit in. The head rest feels a little strange but overall, its nice. The tilt tension adjustment works well when the knob isn’t stripped out from the factory.

I do wish the tilt lock had some sort of indentation or locking mechanism for better user feedback as its just a bar sitting loosely in a shaft. The casters have a locking ring but are just a press fit and may fall out if you lift the chair as they did when I was returning the first one.

The strut doesn’t have that much lift but its hardly an issue. The quality of the construction of the chair does not par up with the price. As of writing this review I’ve spent more time fixing and building this chair than sitting in it.

IšverstiShow in original languageChair was packaged very well. The look of the chair is top notch professional. It is very comfortable. The arm padding is softer than the Hyken. Though it doesnt have stepped recliner, its only straight or lay back 2-steps, unlike the hyken which gives you 3 steps to lay back and lock.

The build was very easy only requiring 3 types of bolts and each is color coded with thread lockers. Initially the mesh seat gave some resistance but quickly within 2- days it became more pliable. Before I had a $50 foam mesh back chair from another retail store and after 2-3 hours sitting it was giving me back problems and had to lay down.

I have sat in this new chair and have not had such problems, I even took a nap on it laying back it was so comfortable. In the future I will buy thrid party polyurathane wheels as with these basic wheels will usually get clogged and dirty within 6 months.

BUt that is not a boon on the chair. This is a must buy chiar for comfort and long stretches at the computer or desk setting.

IšverstiShow in original languageI am 6’2″ about 205 lbs, and this chair fits me so much better than my old chair. It’s helping my health to sit in a good ergonomic chair (which I read were way better for you than gaming chairs).

I opted to purchase additional rollerblade casters, which were a nice addition, and now whenever I use my old chair it’s like scraping across the ground by comparison. (However, I am not sure the base will hold up due to the additional leverage that the rollerblade wheels have by virtue of being larger).

I was afraid the arm rests would hurt my arms, but they’re made of a pliant material, so they’re actually pretty comfortable. I chose this chair over others in part because it went on sale, and since we’re in a pandemic and I had to purchase a new chair sight-unseen, I reasoned that if it was a bad fit or something, that I would have less sunken costs.

It was one that I had been researching, along with the Aeron and the Leap and the Hyken. It was so silent at first, but now has a super minimal squeak, as I am pretty restless. So I will try to WD40 it.

I was having severe fatigue, and between this and switching from pop to nothing to coffee, I have regained my productivity! So happy, thank you Union & Scale and Staples! I purchased it with coupon, but then decided to change the color, so I cancelled my order.

I assumed the coupon would be able to be reapplied, but when I went to buy the new chair, the coupon said it had already been used. So I wasn’t able to get the coupon – just beware of that. I was afraid the headrest (which for me is a major factor) would not be very useful on some of these types of chairs, due to other reviews, but I love it.

I did notice that although you can lock the chair upright, that it doesn’t allow you to lock it into different degrees of recline. I bought in haste, partially cause I was so sick of the weeks I spent researcher, but I am absolutely satisfied and would recommend to other people, especially considering the sale price.

The mesh material is very comfortable and seems like it will hold up based on what others have been saying.

TraduireAfficher dans la langue originaleBuy this chair now! I’m doing to do my best to be as concise as possible and refrain from going on an endless rant about how much I love this chair. What I’m going to do instead is accurately and thoroughly review this marvel of modern engineering.

First I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself. I’m a 6 foot tall 250 pound military member with previous surgery on L5S1 which has left me with nerve pain every day of my life as well as problems on three other levels of my spine.

Generally chairs aren’t designed to seat a person of my stature and won’t last very long. I require a chair that’s very sturdy, adjustable and ergonomic. The box came, overjoyed I struggled to lift it into my apartment.

The first thing I noticed was the weight of the box. It gave me a sense of assurance in knowing that I bought quality. The Hardware felt to be of good manufacturing. Also I received double the hardware necessary to assemble the chair.

I LOVE EXTRA HARDWARE. The instructions were very well illustrated and the chair built in minutes. One thing that I really appreciated was the way adjustments were engineered into the design of the chair.

While assembling you can adjust the width of the arm rests. Once the bolts are tightened down your arm rests will only adjust up and down. Another adjustment built into the chairs construction is controlling the distance from the seat to the back rest.

This is generally only a feature on higher end chairs and I was happy to see that is has quite a bit of range.

Not only did my Felix-King chair arrive within days, it was well-packaged. Super-easy to assemble and make personalized adjustments for personalized comfort. Chair is lighter in weight than most. I also based my purcase on the fact that I could push back the chair arms, allowing me to push the chair in under my work table at the end of the day.

Also, being able to move the arms up and out of the way allows me to work on sewing projects and other special projects unimpeded. Since I have back discomfort issues, being able to move the arms up may allow me to access any special support (walker) that I may need in the future.

As a number of people pointed out, if you are petite you may find the chair more comfortable than most, which I do. Customer service is very attentive and reaches out to you in a timely manner with any questions or concerns you may have, I like that a warranty is included.

It was very easy to register.

TraduireAfficher dans la langue originaleI have been searching for an office chair ever since I started working from home last year. I had simple requirements: I needed the chair to be comfortable enough when sitting for 8-10 hours a day and I wanted lumbar support adjustment and head rest.

I tried several chairs over the last year in the $200-400 price range, but none of them worked out well. Some hurt my back, some were not high enough in terms of height, some had unstable headrest and the lumbar support in some of them were not good enough.

After 30 days of using this chair, I can confidently say that I have found the ideal chair for me. The lifting backrest is amazing for lumbar support adjustment. The head rest is positioned nicely protruding outside that my head is on a natural resting position.

The arm rest height adjustment is also a great bonus. The mesh design makes it comfortable for long hours of work.

I brought this for my 9 year old for Christmas. Its big, suited more for an adult but I think that’s why he loves it so much. It’s big and cosy and he has lots of space to move around. The only thing he has struggled with is the cushion doesn’t seem to rest properly because of his size.

Either way, he prefers with the cushion rather than without. He spends much more time on his PC now and is finally getting more use out of it. We are very happy with our purchase and think the price was spot on.

Bought this as new replacement gaming chair for my son for Xmas and been looking for one with the foot rest. Have to say this has been the easiest boxed piece of furniture I have ever had to put together.

Good quality and easy to follow instructions. All the parts were packaged well including all the screws and parts and they even supply you a little pack of spare screws etc. Would def recommend this chair and my 14 year old is very happy with it.

Quick tracked delivery as well from company.

If you plan to watch a lot of movies, program or play a lot of PC games where this chair is where you’ll spend most of your day this chair isn’t worth it. Mine lasted about a year and a half. I’m not even 200lbs and took very good care of the chair.

it’s a comfortable chair i really liked and got my share of complements from. The biggest flaw to the design of this chair is the part that your legs can rest on when you’re done with it and push it back in, if it’s not in the whole way you may fall forward.

There should be a locking mechanism of some sort. I’m not a fan of how the “lumbar support” is pretty much a fanny pack with stuffing in it that clips to the chair. I was expecting much nicer in this price range.

it feels like real leather but isn’t, it’s not very durable. The usual metal studs in jeans started to dig into the chair after about a year. Luckily it can recline in various positions if you’re binge watching a series of movies or shows.

The allen screws I wish they provided more of in case I wore some out for maintenance of the chair or so. The biggest tips with this is when assembling it is do the last half to full turn with the short end of the allen key if you plan to tighten every screw by hand otherwise the chair won’t stay sturdy.

When you have the chair assembled loosen the screws ONE at a time and dip the threaded part (what goes into the chair) into wood glue. It’s the only thing that kept the screws in place. Otherwise the screws won’t stay still for more than a week.

How mine broke was I started to hear “snaps” and my chair went down a little. I looked down and saw the part the wheels connect to had a big crack in it. That part of the chair is made of plastic. would I buy another one of these? no.

The chair was very quick to assemble and easy to put together. Everything you need to assemble comes in the box and even extra screws if one goes missing. Everyone has their preferences and everyone’s body is different.

I have coworkers who need their armrest to be adjustable or they are too tall And need not only a regular headrest but a headrest that is adjustable. Since this does both, this office chair can easily be used by many of my coworkers.

Anyways the seat hits all of my checkmarks. Stable and fold away armrest, ergonomic and mesh seating that does not increase my body temperature. While it had everything I was looking for I didn’t know how comfortable it would be, and in truth you would never know until you actually purchase it.

It’s cool, the mesh surfaces breathe well and it’s comfortable to sit on for an extended period of time. Overall it’s a great chair for this price point. I’m not sure you can ask for more features with the price that it is.

I’m a software engineer and sit at my computer desk all the time every day as I work. I was experiencing pain in my back and legs. Ergonomic/occupational safety staff did an assessment on my workplace setup and ended up replacing my chair with one that could adjust in more ways to my body’s needs.

That fixed my pain. I later started working from home full-time. Once again, I felt all the pain come back from my home office chair. I found the chair that solved my problems at the office, but it was over $400.

I was going to pay that, because having a comfortable, well fitting chair is that important. However, I saw that this chair adjusted in all the same ways as the one at my workplace and was much more reasonably prices and had good ratings.

So, I gave it a try and have zero regrets. This chair is *very* well made and the instructions and setup are clear and easy. Zero pain too. I highly, highly recommend this chair – even for those who don’t have pain from sitting long periods.

This will chair will help you avoid ever having to go through such a bad experience.

I was all worried that this chair was going to come in a big heavy box and have a hundred little screws with crummy instructions. Boy, was I wrong! Yes, it did come in a somewhat heavy box – but I was able to drag it into the house without throwing out my back.

Everything was packed in bubble wrap and prominently labeled according to the directions. The screws and allyn wrench were included in a well organized packet – again, all labeled. Once I had all of the pieces unwrapped, it took maybe 15 minutes to assemble the chair with no additional help.

The step-by-step guide made perfect sense and the parts/screws came together very easily. Truly, the hardest part was screwing the seat section on to the back/arms section, but once I figured out how to balance the chair on the empty box for leverage and raised off the floor, it went really fast.

The chair is nice looking, quite comfortable, and rolls on the rug under my desk smoothly. I hope it lasts at least a year, any longer than that will be a great bonus. At that point, I would happily order another as a replacement.
