I’m not a big fan of office chairs, but the Black Hugo Boss Leather Executive Chair does provide me a pleasant sitting experience for short periods. I’m not a fan of this chair’s maximum height of 22 inches when compressed because it puts my knees above my hips, which causes me slight discomfort after about 20 minutes.

This chair does have a slight forward lean, which helps, but it doesn’t erase the problem. Even though height is a minor issue it has caused me to get up and move more often to prevent stiffness, which has improved my hip health.

Besides the height issue this is a very comfortable chair in every other aspect. The padding is extremely soft and doesn’t compress too much if I sit for long periods. The arm rest height and sleek design does a great job of keeping my arms from falling a sleep.

The arm rest also doesn’t put my shoulders in a hunched up position when I’m sitting, which relieved the tightness in my neck and upper back. The wheels move very easy on hardwood and tile floors, but I found that it takes a little leg force to put them in motion.

I would definitely recommend the Black Hugo Boss Leather Executive Chair for anyone that spends hours at a computer because it is comfortable, but height might be an issue depending on leg length.

I would have given this chair a rating of 10/10, but I deducted one point for its stiffness. This is something I hope will improve with time & use of the chair. I hope so! And so will you if you’re a spinner/wiggled/active multi-tasking type like I am! Ah, but it’s really not so bad to start with, don’t let that scare you away.

This was hands-down the EASIST, least anxiety provoking assembly of any office chair I’ve ever dealt with. It has a beautiful look to it, a wonderful modern take on the ‘ol leather executive high-backed office chair.

The leather is of a nice quality leather, and has a bit of that “buttery” feel to it some of us really love. The leather has some shine, but not so much that it cheapens the look. It has great lumbar support, so no need to use any of those odd looking (& sometimes REALLY pricey!) lumbar pillows that seem to run away from you! Overall, it has a nice shape and hugs your spine & neck very comfortably.

I am a chronic back/hip pain sufferer (7 years) & I went through many chairs to find one I can work in. I have this one both at work & home. It was well worth it to buy the extra for work (& I may even get reimbursed too *cross fingers*) Take care everyone, especially of your back! ;-).

When initially seen the price of this chair, I was a bit taken back by it but, upon further inspection, I became quite impressed with it’s inner workings. Unlike other chairs, this one folds up in two different positions.

It also requires no tools to put together! It is already assembled. That was definitely a huge plus as I dislike having to construct anything. I also loved the pump up seating for easy height adjustment.

My favorite function of he chair is the attached rolling wheels. It brings back that childish feeling of visiting mom or dad’s office and whizzing away from one side of the room to the other. I almost secretly wish I had one of these inside my own home although I probably wouldn’t appreciate it’s rolling ability once my smaller children got ahold of it! The overall functionality and comfort of the chair make it worth the actual overall cost.

I’d purchase one for my home as well if I didn’t think my children would roll each other down the stairs!.

After spending much too long trying to find a comfortable seat to practice bass I have found my bass throne. This stool is the absolute best. A very heavy duty guitar stool with an adjustable backrest and adjustable footrest.

Having to deal with minor back pain, I needed a stool that would allow me to put the backrest exactly where I needed it and this stool does just that. The seat padding is firm and very comfortable to sit on.

The adjustable footrest puts the footrest at just the right height for guitar placement on my thigh. I highly recommend this stool and I truly believe that you won’t be disappointed. It is portable, but remember, it is heavy duty.

will be using this musicians stool for various scenarios. The adjustability is very good and quick and makes it very useful for guitar, keyboards or sitting down at the computer. Very expensive for what it is and I was OK with it except that the box was pretty beat up and the back of the head rest frame was fairly scuffed (store purchase, not delivery).

Handles my heavyset build very well.

I was unsure this Rockville musician stool would be what I was looking for. It was $30, $50 and even $100 cheaper than other brands. I figured I’d take a chance and was very pleased when it arrived to find it was very very sturdy, adjustable and just what I wanted for my home studio.

The picture looks like the seat back is slanted possibly to far back to offer support but it is just right. I’m 5 feet 11 and found raising the seat up a few notches was just right. It is a comfortable seat but not overly padded.

That could be changed very easily if you wanted. It folds when assembled so it can be stored away in a closet but is not super compact. If you want a small packable stool it would have to be dissembled to be super small but would fit in a van etc.

for travel but would take a bit more space if not disassembled. For my needs it was a perfect sturdy affordable option. I rather spend that $30, $50 or $100 on other things on my studio wish list than a higher priced stool.

I am a gigging musician, and have hunted a stool tall enough for a long time. This stool is great!! Adjustable height and has a backrest. Well built. I have used it several times on stage. Very pleased.

Very stable,good quality,great price,perfect height,adjustable foot rest, i sit taller with the rest of the guys in the band and dont feel like a dwarf. It folds away easily and doesnt take up much room in my lil Kia Soul when traveling.

Im glad i researched it and kept shopping it beats the On Stage model hands down and its cheaper.

Not as much lumbar support as I would like. Horizontal adjustment of the arms is only possible during assembly. There is not any push-button sort of adjustment. Seat is very much an improvement from my last chair.

Assembly is simple. Chair seems sturdy.

Probably would not buy this again. For the price the quality could have been significantly better. Comfortable but quality of leather was ok and the foot rest drops down pretty often. However, because it was during the pandemic there were limited options.

Overall this chair is really great! It was easy to put together by myself. My room is white black and gold and this chair is chic and comfortable with good back support. The only thing I dislike is that the sear itself seems to be on a slant bc of the ergonomic design.

It feels like when I sit my butt is higher then my knees and its sloping downward. I believe thats the design of the chair. If not a deal breaker but I do wish I knew that before pursuing. Thankfully, I was able to lessen the salt by tightening the bottom, but it is still there slightly.

Don’t expect it to last long. I figure the mesh backing will eventually stretch or tear. Arm rests don’t fit flush as they should, chair does not push in under regular desk so it awkwardly sits out and in the way for me.

Regret purchase.

Overall the chair is comfortable. The seat is not as thick as I thought it would be , but it is very comfortable. The lumbar support is great. It could be a little wider.

Two hours after placed my order and paid $237, I found a similar chair for about $80 less. When I tried to cancel the order it was too late. After it arrived, I’d say it’s worth about $80 less. I was not expecting it to be as comfortable as similar looking chairs I have used, but this chair was far less comfortable than even my lowered expectations.

I would not pay more than $160 for this chair if I had a second chance. I’ve seen the same chair, judging from the description of its hard foam on board seat and short height (must be so they can add casters on the same model), listed for about $100 and used for about $50.

With so many rough spots on the finish, new vs. old would not make much difference. Go to Walmart and get it for $161. 37, if you really want it.

I love these chairs. I learned about the convenience of wheeled dining chairs visiting a senior residence once, and have been wanting them ever since! Also they were very well packed and shipped quickly.

We purchased this last month. The aesthetics of the chair is nice, however the seat sinks in quite a bit and is not very sturdy. Feels like your about to hit the floor if you sit too hard.

Very comfortable chair – distressed leather so expect some rough patches. The arms are covered with a wood accent and there are a few rough patches too. When I say rough patches, I mean it’s a rough texture – not smooth.

The metal base stem had a lot of paint peeled off but decided to accept b/c it was such a horrid heartache to get the chair delivered to my correct address. (Make sure you double-check the shipping address – also be diligent about tracking your shipment.

) Also super comfortable but you must sit at the back of the chair – this is not a chair where you can sit on the edge b/c it is sloped and you will fall down. My dad almost fell b/c he’s such a person who likes to sit on the edge.

Other than the concerns listed, it’s a good-looking chair and very comfortable.

Very easy to assemble – I did it myself instead of asking my husband. I ordered black and it does look like a distressed black as opposed to dark brown as another reviewer experienced. Comfort level is just okay for me – may be better for someone that does not sit at their desk 8+ hrs a day? It does recline back for me if I push back pretty hard (my husband had no issue) but I feel like it pushes me forward while sitting.

Overall unique office chair – I love the distressed leather, wood detail on the arms, and distressed/dark metal on the legs.

This is actually a beautiful, high quality product. No missing pieces, solid with good welds, beautiful leather and easy to assemble. Couldn’t regret this purchase less I don’t know what quality was like in 2018 but feels excellent now.

I like everything about this chair so far. It arrived early & was easy to assemble. I bought this for my sewing room, but my grandchildren also use it for crafting & watching tv. We like the color & comfortable positions adjustable for 4-year old & 8-year old twins.

They can adjust it themselves. Would definitely recommend it & possibly purchasing another one so I get to use it when they’re here.

This is my second task chair from this company, and we have just put it together. it’s excellent! The lack of arms is perfect for my desk situation, and the ergonomic features mean I can adjust as needed, very easily.

Others have commented on assembly, but a very mechanical pal put mine together, and he said it was easy/fast. I use this chair 4-8 hours a day with some breaks, and the last chair was about eight years old.

still good but the seat has been used and is not so comfy as my new chair. but that chair is still in use with the sewing machine in a senior facility and the residents love it. no arms to get in their way, adjustable for height and other ergonomic features.

The chair is very heavy and feels sturdy. The foam seat/back is very comfortable and the multitude of adjustments makes it possible to set the chair angles to just the way I need them. The color is just right for my office and the fabric feels durable.

However, the assembly instructions are very minimal. The parts are not labeled. One entire step, installing the brackets for the arms, was left out. If you don’t notice this, it could cause you to have to remove parts and start again.

The entire assembly took over 2 hours (with about 20 minutes searching to see if there might be an assembly video – no luck). I recommend setting all parts out and looking through every step of the instructions before you begin.

Here is hoping that either Staples or Office Star will improve these instructions and/or provide an assembly video.

This chair was pretty easy to put together by myself following the instructions. It is comfortable to work in as well. I sit in it 8+ hrs a day working from home and have no complaints. Maybe it would be nice if i could fold the armrests down but thats about it.

If only I’d been a DJ in a past life, I would have known about this type of chair for live performance. As a singer-songwriter-guitarist, I’ve used bar stools for those rare gigs where I don’t want to stand, or when it’s just better for the room if I don’t (cafe style).

I always lamented the awkwardness of not having a proper foot rest and the “one size fits all” philosophy of bar stools. But, I’m a pro. I’ll just suffer, right? Never again. This chair solves everything.

It’s adjustable, comfortable, has a small back rest (that doesn’t interfere with playing), folds up (mostly), and has a foot rest. It says it will hold 300 lbs. I weigh 200 (6ft), so I’d say it’s fair to assume that it will remain comfortable for someone larger than me.

It’s certainly sturdy, too. That’s something else about bar stools. Many of them are rickety in short order. With the three payment option, this is affordable right away. Lastly, It’s great for doing videos and livestreams where moving around like on a stage is not particularly conducive to the media.

I like the looks, looks pro behind my DJ setup. The lower back leg, support, folds easily. The top seat part unscrews easily also. Its little heavy compared to my old stool I bought at Michaels but this one looks much nicer.

I especially like the back support, the height really relieves strain from my back. Dont like the weight and I also dont like how small the but area of the chair is. Im 6 230 lbs and need a chair area that is larger and a little more comfortable, but then again, Im not going to sleep in it and I should be looking like Im working during a gig rather than relaxing while getting paid.

This item is marketed as a DJ chair but I got it to sit and play my guitar. I am impressed at how sturdy this chair is. I really like the fact that it is more of a stool with a backrest than a chair so my arms and hands are unobstructed while I play my guitar.

I was concerned that it did not come with assembly instructions but after reviewing a photo of the chair I had it assembled in about 10 minutes. It was easy. The other thing I like is that it is height adjustable so depending on your size (I’m 6′) you can get comfortable on it.

This is a really comfortable chair for my home office. I’m used to sitting in Herman Miller Aeron chair at the office and searched for a comparable drafting chair that was affordable. Found it! It feels very similar to the Aeron chair.

I have only owned this chair less than 6 months. From day one the leg support will not hold its position well no matter how tight I twist the handle. Now the seat height will not hold either. I bought a more expensive chair thinking I would get better quality, and Houzz is currently telling me it’s outside of the return window.

A $300+ chair should last way longer than 6 months!!! Would never buy again and potentially never use Houzz again!.

I have the Harwick Evolve blacked out chair for about a month. Shipping was fast, taking into account Customs clearance. This is a very nice and impressive looking chair. The casters roll well and the plastic base is sturdy.

The foot ring is large and confortable. The pneumatic cylinder is large and works well. The flip up armrests are a rare feature and work well, tight to remain in place. The armrests are confortable and at the right height, which is rarely the case with office chairs.

The seating construction feels solid. There are only three adjustments, height and back tilt angle and tension, all in any position. One would expect a bit more for the price. The mesh seating is tight, but tends to become less confortable over a long period.

One feels the front seat edge. The mesh is tight on the back, but is uncomfortable when one wears light clothes like a T-shirt. The tilt handle is large, but is quite hard to turn. Still havent figured which way to go to increase/decrease tilt tension.

The backrest provides a quite protuberent lumbar support. So much so that your back only rests on the support and barely touches the rest of the backrests. In addition, the support keeps you forward on the seat, so, while the specs provides for 19.

5 in. in depth, in use, itis actually less than that as you sit about 3 in. from the back end. That makes the overall seating quite short. In addition, the seating is a bit too tilted front to back. A drafter would find himself uncomfortable when bending over for a prolonged time.

A bit surprising for a drafters chair. The specs provide for seat height adjustment from 24 to 31 in. It is actually 25 in. at the front. At the lowest setting, only your toes touch the floor. Finally, in the last couple of days, the chair started to crack.

I have titghtend every screws, no change. Very dissapointing for a chair of that price. Overall, I would not buy ut again, Actually, it is for sales.

I never realized how important it was to have a comfortable chair until I sat in one that was actually designed for my body. If you re looking for an ergonomic chair, don t just go to your nearest office supply store and buy the first one you see.

Do some research online and find a company that specializes in making chairs for people who work from home like you. You may have to spend a little more money, but it will be worth it when you realize how much better your posture is and how much less pain you re in at the end of the day.

It was easy to assemble. I bought this chair in Nov. 2020 and already the pump is bad. It makes for terrible ergonomics when 1 hour after sitting in the chair you notice that it has slowly dropped to the lowest level.

All-day you will have to keep raising the chair to get the level you need to type or function. Basically, it’s garbage after 6 months. Good luck trying to find another pump. I would have not given any stars if I could have.

Happy with prompt delivery. The shipping box was damaged a little during shipping, but the contents were not disturbed. Chair was easy to assemble. It is a no-frills basic lift chair. I notice the written description states incorrectly that the chair has a “4-point 26″ diameter base” when the picture clearly shows five “points” or legs.

The chair indeed has five legs. Besides price, I purchased this chair for several other reasons. I wanted the colored fabric and could not find one similar in a store near me. I like that the back is also covered with fabric making it more attractive decoratively speaking.

I also need a fairly narrow seat width to fit into a 22″ knee opening in my sewing table when the chair is not in use. Many similar styles of chairs have seats that are too wide. The seat width of this chair is 18″.

The base of the chair, measured from point to point at the widest part, is about 25″. Enough of the base fits under the sewing table that it sticks out only 11″ to 12″ when pushed under as far as it will go when not in use.

I just now noticed the part of the published description stating the chair is “not recommended for all day use. ” Don’t know why this isn’t recommended for all day use. Wish I had noticed this before ordering as sewing projects can entail long periods of sitting.

However, I will be using this chair occasionally, not every day, and usually not all day when I do use it. The chair is inexpensive enough so that replacing it won’t be too painful if it doesn’t work out.

Built only for a very tall skinny man with no butt. Very uncomfortable for an aging lady and no way to adjust for mandolin playing. Way to high a seat. Seat too high. Back too high to give lumbar support.

I had arthroscopic surgery on my knee on 1/24/20 and a gig on 1/31. Stool arrived well in advance and I was able to sit at an elevated level to facilitate seeing the audience and being able to communicate with them, all the way to the back of the room.

This is a well-built stool, and although a bit heavy and not super-portable, it fits the bill and the price was right.

This chair works great for guitar playing. I like how the back rest and seat are independently adjustable. I wish it were more portable but it is what it is. Overall great musicians chair. Would recommend.
