20 Best Champagne Bridesmaid Dresses (2022 Updated)

I should be a L according to the sizing chart bust size and instructions for how to measure the bust. I ordered a M and L. The M was 6 inches too small in the back, and the L was 4 inches too small. I exchanged and ordered a XL and XXL, in case the two inches difference did carry through per size, as it says in the sizing chart, which would mean I’d actually need a XXL if the sizing increase is consistent, regardless of if it matches the numbered size on the chart.

I just needed a dress that fit, regardless of whether the size matched my normal sizing or the sizing chart. But then even the XL was then 2 inches too big. The L was 4 inches too small, and the XL was 2 inches too big.

So not only did it not match the measurements on the chart, but it also didn’t increase 2 inches between those sizes as it says. It’s been a month now with two rounds of shipping of shipping two dresses at a time, and I still am having trouble.

I’m wondering about trying a second L and seeing if that one would fit as stated and won’t be 4 inches too small like the last L. Or with their pre-order and shipping times, if I just need to get this one altered and not risk a second L also not matching.

It’s a little frustrating to keep needing to exchange and basically guess. And then wait for the pre-order to ship and arrive three weeks later, only to need to do it again and then again, and eventually pay restocking fees in only keeping one.

I’m petite, and knew the length would be a problem, and that perhaps even an empire waist would prove a little difficult. I was prepared for that. But the inconsistency in the bust sizing has been a guessing game and required extra time and effort with shipping times and exchanging.

I understand with the price of the dress being more affordable, there maybe can’t be the option of having better fitting options with petite or tall sizes. But again, just getting a bust to fit according to the sizing chart has been hard.

I do like the variety of ways you can style the convertible dress. Pockets are always a yes. And I like the color.

The silhouette of this dress is lovely, but the keyhole/halter neckline needs a MAJOR design re-work. There is an unecessary twist in the construction of the keyhole neckline that a) doesn’t really appear in the model photos and b) made the whole thing feel bulky and poorly executed when I first tried it on.

I realize afer watching the video of the models that the models had the neck band *tied* in a *knot* around the keyhole loop, rather than just being threaded through once like the still photos show. Regardless, if I didn’t know how to sew, I would have been tempted to send this dress back as the off-the-rack construction just makes it look plain weird.

However, it’s an easy fix if you know how to sew or if you plan on taking the dress to be tailored anyways. Just ask the tailor to rip out the keyhole seam, and restitch together without the unecessary twist – I ended up sewing the neck band to the top of the keyhold part of the dress, too, just to avoid any mishaps while I’m performing bridesmaid duties.

Warning – the satin fabric itself is quite fragile and snags VERY easily, so make sure your nails are filed (as a rough nail edge snagged my dress) and make sure you don’t catch the dress on anything as you try it on.

The dress was large around the waist/ribcage (I’m a size small) but was easily taken in near the middle zipper in the back. Hemming it was easy and the material handles a rolled machine hem well.

Ok so I was really scared that this dress wasn’t going to be that good because honestly, some of the past reviewers tore this dress apart! But let me go into detail about the dress: – First, I ordered this dress for my roommate and bridesmaid to try on and it got lost in the mail on the way here.

Birdy Grey’s customer service rep, Kenny, was UNREAL in getting me a dress ASAP once I called them and let them know that the dress hadn’t moved from the distribution center and she was so prompt in getting a new dress to me!!! – Second, the dress came in and was so much thicker than I was expecting! This is great because a couple of my bridesmaids were really worried that they were going to be able to see stomach rolls or their belly buttons through the satin (this is an issue for some Lulus and David’s Bridal dresses that we tried) and the thickness actually had a slimming affect.

For $110, it feels very expensive. – Third, we ordered a large by following the measuring chart and it fit so perfectly. 4 other bridesmaids came over to try the dress on and it fit them perfectly, too, even though they have very different body sizes! – Lastly, there were some reviews that the top of the dress “looked weird” and that it comes in 2 parts.

So allow me to explain: Like all dresses, the top will need to be steamed. We steamed ours and it looks just fine. The part that wraps around the neck is like a silk ribbon that goes through the top part, then around the neck.

There is a seam right in the middle of the “ribbon” which some people don’t like, but it’s such a small detail andddd Birdy Grey sends a complimentary safety pin (and a bobby pin and boob tape- so nice!), so we just pinned the ribbon to the top so that the seam wouldn’t show.

BUY THE DRESS!!!! Honestly, I’m so impressed with this company. And congrats on the wedding!.

Wayyyyyyy toooo much going on with the dress! Sent it back Pronto! I also don’t like the way it was stuffed inside a tiny USPS box for mailing. Had I seen this in person who definitely not have ordered.

I’m not thrilled with the quality either. It’s definitely a one star for me!.

My daughter loved this dress for her cotillion ball and was very happy with it. I gave it four stars and not five stars because I felt that it ran small; so size up if you are at all feeling on the border on size.

The skirt was flattened in the mail, but hanging for a few days, it fixed itself well and looked good by the time she had to wear it. She liked the fashionable see thru waist band.

Beautiful, well made dress with stunning rhinestone detail. Dress arrived exactly as shown. Dress was also true to size. Definitely a great value for the price!

Let me start out by saying that I love this style. I tried on a sample size which was a huge hassle because the style and size I wanted were never available. Plus, my measurements didn’t really fit the standard sizes.

When I was finally able to get one in this style I had to order a size that was way too big, but I had help pinning it back and decided that this was the one that I wanted to get. I did the custom measurements and was super excited.

However, a few weeks later I was notified that the waist couldn’t be more than 3″ bigger than the bust. I was told that there was only one other dress that could be made to my specifications which was the Kaitlyn.

I was also warned that if I did want to increase the bust size to accommodate the 3″ difference, that there was a chance that it wouldn’t fit right when I went to get it altered. I was really upset because I had my heart set on this and no where did it say that the custom sizes had limitations.

The person I spoke to was really pushing me towards the other dress, which I sort of liked, but it wasn’t the one that I really wanted. Ultimately, I decided to take my chances and ordered the bust 3″ larger than what my measurement was.

I found a good tailor and she was able to make it look great. I was only reimbursed 50, but I guess that was better than nothing. The straps had to be adjusted, the bust had to be taken in and my tailor said that I could leave the cups in, but that the dress would look better if I wore a pushup bra.

So she ended up taking the cups out (which were huge) and I had to wear a bra, but it did look a lot better. I had someone measure me and we did everything according to the video, but even so the dress had to be taken in more than I had expected.

So I guess the main takeaways are: there are limitations to the custom measurements – I definitely recommend checking before ordering. The style was great, but I did end up needing to wear a bra for it to look like it does in the picture.

Also, if you want to try a sample dress start looking early. Overall, it was a stressful experience, but it worked out okay. It needed to be altered a lot, but since it wasn’t an expensive dress I was willing to pay for it.

The style of the dress itself was great, which is why I gave it 4 stars, but the ordering process was not a good experience. The reimbursement process was very easy, though. Good luck!.

This dress is beautiful for my princess. I brought it for her 5th Grade prom & just Wow!! Great Price & Amazing dress. Fits perfect!

I genuinely have no complaints about the dress! The material is beautiful and I know that I’ll be able to tolerate it while I’m dancing at the wedding, especially having the full confidence of knowing where my stuff is because the dress has pockets.

I also love the adjustable option of having the thicker straps, because I have broader shoulders so it’s harder for me to wear those but I know the other bridesmaids might like them. The pockets are separate from the dress material, meaning that you can put your arm into the dress thinking your actually going into the pocket.

It’s a bit strange but nothing a few pins or even a solo sewing can’t fix! My only other comment for anyone wanting to buy the dress is that the bust measurements are pretty spot on; make sure you measure around most areas of your bust and find the biggest one to go with because it’s easy to choke the girls if you’re on the bigger side like I am.

For frame of reference, I’m a 38DD and I got a 1X; fits really well up top but can be a bit tighter for me going down to my upper waist (that’s just personal preference).

The perfect dress for our baby shower. It fit my daughter perfectly!! My daughter is 10 months and weighs 20 lbs. I got her a size 12m. The headband that came with it was such a beautiful match. Thank God I found this dress!.

My daughter picked this dress out for her upcoming daddy daughter dress. She tried it on immediately and LOVED it. It looked exactly like the picture and was better quality than I expected. There were a couple of stray frays from where the sequins rubbed (but they didn’t negatively affect the dress.

I used the dress for an engagement photo session and I received many compliments on it. My only complain would be that it has less tulle than what’s pictured.

I got this dress for my bridesmaids. They were all very good quality and looked beautiful on the girls. The color was perfect! I have bridesmaids with very different body types and the style of this dress worked perfectly for all of them.

The shop was even able to alter one of the dressers to fit my 7 month pregnant matron of honor! They were very easy to work with and accommodating. The only thing negative was that 5/7 girls needed to get the dress hemmed, but I wasn’t super surprised by this because I sorta planned on needing to do this since we were getting them online.

I did custom order and had all the girls get measured so they would fit better. Overall, I am very happy with the dresses and would buy them again.

These dresses are not remotely teal. Ordered 14 dresses to match teal on the provided color swatch and they are dramatically different. Nicole is arguing that the difference is between teal and dark teal.

The dresses are electric blue. Nicole’s solution was to have us pay an additional $485 dollars on top of the $1,726 she has pocketed from our bridal party. In addition – that extra amount wouldn’t even get our dresses to us.

She would only ship to one address even though she knows we are located in several different states. Besides the color, my dress is extremely ill fitting. I am not positive I was sent the correct dress (there was no paperwork in the package, no receipt, no name, literally nothing).

Nicole has a 5 star rating and offers incentives for good ratings (a percentage off) but please proceed with caution.

I am a bridesmaid in a very large wedding party. We ordered all of our bridesmaid dresses -14 total- from this shop. We were told to order the dresses together so the colors would match. Never were we told that the color may not match the color swatch she posted on her description.

We ordered teal dresses, and we received dresses that match the “blue” on her color swatch. The bride contacted her so she wouldn’t be swamped with all of us. The bride offered to pay an additional $30 per dress to have the mistake fixed.

The shop owner asked for additional $30 per dress PLUS an additional $135 for shipping. She also has refused to accept that she made a mistake with the color. She has already made over $1700 on us and keeps asking for more to fix her mistake.

She took away the option to leave a photo in the review.

I ordered a Medium because the reviews said it ran small and sometimes I can be in between sizes so I ordered up. I was swimming in the Medium so I returned it for a Small which is typically my size anyways.

The Small gapes in the chest/armpit area, but is tight in the seam that connects the top and skirt pieces. The skirt is very full and I need about 8″ hemmed off the bottom because of how massive it is (I’m 5’5″).

The only reason I am keeping the dress is because it is a bridesmaid dress. All of the other bridesmaids are having to get their dresses altered in 2+ places as well and we all have very different body types so I’m not even sure who this dress was made for if it fits all of us so poorly.

Also the material is so cheap, I could have bought the same dress at Forever 21 for a fraction of the price.

I am 6’1 and this fit perfect! I am usually a size 4-6 but I got the medium for length. Since the back ties up and is connected to the straps it’s very adjustable for different sizes. I have a small chest with a long torso and I was able to make the straps long enough so the waist was sitting perfect.

There is a slight gap in the lower back but nothing the ties won’t hide. The length was perfect for me, I’ll be wearing flats and you can’t see my toes. The fabric has a nice weight to it, doesn’t show any cellulite or undergarment lines like some others would.

So I got a medium because thats the only size in the color I wanted (usually a small). Challenging to get on alone because of the back details. Very heavy dress, good material. I felt good in the dress and think it would look good on many sizes.

I dont like anything tight around my stomach at all and this was but the overall dress was too big. I dont think a smaller size would have worked.

I bought this dress for my wedding, unfortunately it doesn’t suit my body type. However the dress was stunning and the quality was impeccable. The return process was a breeze and my refund was processed into my account before I even got home from the post office.

I will definitely be purchasing off here again and have recommended to friends.

The dress is beautiful, true to size and good quality. I’m an AU size 8 and ordered AU size 8. Fits well. I’m 5’2” tall and wearing the dress with 3-inch heels. Still need to cut around 3 inches off the bottom of dress or a bit too long for me.

Bought this for my friends wedding and i am fairly short so i had to cut this dress up and no need so sew which is good. The wuality is top notch with a good weight on it. Would definitely recommend.

I really appreciated how accessible the website was as a blind person. I was able to choose a dress independently because of the great descriptions. I also found the sizing is very accurate. When I spoke with customer service just to make sure I got the right size they were also very responsive.

I love the fit and style of the dress.

The design of this gown drew me to purchase it for my sons upcoming wedding – business in the front, party in the back! But I ended up retiring it for the following reasons – The fabric, while very pretty, was poor quality.

There was no give or stretch to the fabric. Size 2 fit like a glove – but sitting down was uncomfortable, because there was no give to the fabric. That would also cause awful bunching and wrinkles that wouldn’t drop out when standing again.

The construction was cheaply done. hems and seams did not look professionally done. So- better quality fabric and more professional construction and this gown would be a real gem. Of course the price point reflects the mentioned flaws, but I expected more from MN.

This dress is very beautiful, the fabric is nice, elegant however, the dress runs small! I could not get the dress over my hips. I am normally a 14 and ordered a 16. It’s not meant for a curvy woman, at all.

Don’t even waste your time buying it if you have a shape.

Absolutely beautiful dress, exactly what I was looking for. The large decorative bow poppers onto the back of the dress and there is a removable satin belt that ties at the back underneath the bow. Bought 2 dresses for my girls, one aged 18 months and the other 11 years.

Had to order an age 3 dress for my 18 month. Only just fits round the waist and length is to her ankle. She isn’t particularly large for her age, the dresses come up really small. Ordered an age 10 for my 11 year old because she is so skinny and the dress was still big round the waist and came just below her knee.

Didn’t like how it looked on her so returned that one.

The dress is like the picture. I love the quality, and the color is darker than shown, it’s a pink-champagne kind of color which is pretty for a bridesmaid. I’m an size 32eu but it was big on me and I’m taking it to the tailor.

I bought a dress from the same line but with sleeves (same color, same style, same brand) and it fit me very good. This one was too big and just looked weird. Even though I usually look great in spaghetti straps.

The waistline seems to be too high and you can definetly go a size down. Also it was a bit too long but just in the front? Seems like some error in manufacturing.
