20 Best Champagne Trader Joe’S (2022 Updated)

I’m sure one could spend much more on a bottle of champagne or sparkling wine, but why pour your hard-earned money down the drain? Cook’s California Brut has been our favorite for years- consistently delicious, smooth, delightful.

The fact that it is also one of the least expensive libations anywhere is the compelling icing on the cake!.

My go to champagne. The price point is amazing and very affordable and I prefer the flavor over more expensive champagnes. I think it is an underrated brand and I always buy this when hosting brunch or looking to make mimosas.

(I don’t drink champagne plain, but actually don’t mind this taste at all).

This is the BEST! Perfect size for a girl’s brunch with your friends! It has a light taste and it inexpensive. Worth every penny! Not too sweet either, love me a good brut. I buy this brand over and over.

What can I say this is my favorite cheap champagne to enjoy my mimosas. I usually have a few put away for a rainy day. I enjoy this champagne very much so I personally do not see a need for improvement.

This is a god priced champagne, it goes well with a brand name OJ or not. I love how smooth it goes down.

Cheap and cheerful. I don’t have anything negative to say for how cheap this price point is. Mimosa lover? This is the wine for you. My families Christmas tradition always involves cooks!

I have always drank this! It’s so cheap and so tasty. I would even have this at my wedding it’s that good for the price. I like the labeling on the back let’s you know which one is sweet and which one is not.

Brute is good mixed with orange juice for mimosas. The big huge bottle is only 10. 99 at most stores.

Pale straw yellow, fine and abundant perlage. The nose is immediately full of chalky minerality, lovely yellow plum, creamy hints and a fresh balsamic presence. On the palate it enters full and round, you can feel the dosage that is balanced by the acidic tension that arrives secondarily.

The wine transforms from being insipid to inspired between sips. Unmistakable, but perhaps also traditional, cat’s you-know-what smell on popping the cork. On pouring the wine into a glass the first thing one notices is that the size of the bubbles are much smaller than other sparkling wines.

They seem to give the wine an elegant appearance. Also the color is light green and yellow. The wine appears less transparent than other champagnes. In between translucent and turbid. Lemon, lemon zest,green apples, and apricots on the nose.

What was unusual was that these notes would jump out to me in a sip and make me appreciate the quality of the wine. But in the very next sip they would disappear making the wine feel like any other ordinary champagne.

I was unable to figure out this illusory quality of this wine. Perhaps it a reflection of my untrained palate for champagne that recognizes quality in glimpses. Overall an enjoyable wine which would turn great in some sips.

Whether it is worth the price is a difficult question. But one may ask that of most of the established champagne brands. Champagne in one sense does have it easy. Since it is the defacro choice of beverage during the celebrations, one remembers the wine because of the occasion.

That will be the case with this wine as well. We shall remember it, definitely more for the occasion we were celebrating than it’s own merits.

MMMM so good. For me it’s perfectly balanced. Not harsh nor too sweet. I can drink this wine anytime without any adverse reactions. Had it in France the first time in the room fridge and I haven’t found a better one yet although and I have tried many at very different price ranges.

Year after year we have gone up a bit in price on our champagne for holiday celebrations. Korbel to Chandon to Piper Sonoma to Piper Heidsick to (now) Tattinger’s. This was dry but not too dry and had a clean finish.

In other words the usual Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay drinkers were all happy and have requested it again for next year!.

This 2013 bottle is the exact vintage used 30 years ago during my Baptismal Party as a baby shared by my Parents and our loved ones. For the past 30 years we have waited with much anticipation, searched, relive and now share that experience as a family – with me being able to partake in that toast.

30 years of aging anticipation brings us to a few days ago where we were able to live such a precious experience as a family. My parents remembering that precious moment when I was a child “as pale, translucent gold, with radiant clarity” as this vintage’s website accurately describes PERRIER-JOUËT Belle Epoque.

And now as I join both my Parents and being able to now toast to this 30 years later – that memory and this occasion reflective on the “subtle glints of apple green” in this true classic. The art of vintage expressed and lived – now both sentimentally and historically as a family.

And in this new chapter, as if spring, similar to the nose hinting “Fresh and delicate, with distinctive aromas of white fruit and flowers. ” as once more the site’s description doesn’t fail to describe this moment and elegant champagne.

Combining the finesse of age – a reflection of family history. And the combination of freshness of this new chapter in our lives and as I join them in this toast. This is more than a review of taste but one coupled with life-long anticipation, preparation, careful care, history, memory – the art, beauty and subtle but bold definition of a true vintage.

I bought a few different bottles for a blind testing for New Years and splurged on this one as the top tier. It was first place and second place in the blind taste test. I personally like the long finish and the crispness to it.

No clue what tastes it had, we just really liked it. Also the bottle looks rather pretty so will use it for decoration in the backyard with lights in it.

This champagne is a great delicacy for dinners, anniversaries and celebrations. A statement piece for those who enjoys refining as taste. This product is difficult to find but consistent in taste. But a great champagne from Paris.

I’m actually shocked this gift box was on here, available for review. Unless I’m supplying cheap champagne for someone else, this is the only thing you’ll find me drinking in my house. It is absolutely amazing.

In the bottle is beautiful. When you get these Gift sets, sometimes the bottle is handpainted, but they also come with handpainted champagne flutes. They are so delicate and so beautiful. I had a friend accidentally put one of my search through the wash and they survived.

Got this gifted as a wedding gift. This Chanhassen the perfect amount of sparkle to it. So crisp and clean finish. It comes with 2 glasses in the set. Pairs well with meats and fruit. Absolutely love this champagne it is spendy but would be worth the price for special occasions.

Just picked this up today. Saved a little because the champagne flutes where broken. This is one of my favorite champagnes. Very light, good bubbles and has a floral taste. This is one of my top 3 champagnes and worth every dollar.

The first bottle of Gruet was lovely with rich yeasty notes and excellent flavors and balance. The second purchase is absolutely a different, and much worse, wine. Strange apple aromas with a hint of VINEGAR(!) has killed the joy I expected.

What a sad disappointment!.

Deep gold color. Light body, fizzy. Low tannins. Dry, medium alcohol. Medium high acidity. First nose of green apple and lemon. Minerality is detectable on both nose and palate. There’s a hint of yeast and brioche, but it’s not on the level of champagne or crémant.

You would never think this was from from Albuquerque! 90/100 for a good reason. Great value. Perfect for sipping or making mimosas and not feeling guilty for the money spent.

Fantastic Champagne that you can drink over ice! Ice does not detract; it actually enhances the Champagne. Add some strawberries for some flair and enjoy. Great all year round.

It is my 4th favorite champagne behind Dom Perignon, Cristal, and Perrier Jouet Belle Epoch Rose. And since it is the least expensive of the 4, it’s the one I buy most often.

I’ve been wanting to try this since I first heard about it several summers ago. The taste was lovely- not tart, not sweet and, it wasn’t weird at all to be drinking champagne with ice in it.

It’s my favorite champagne so far! Great balance and smooth and flavorful! Perfect for me! I’ll get one again!

My favorite champagne. Really sparkle, very good. There is another version now where you can put ice and it taste more softly, but defenitly the good taste of the real one it would be for me the moet and chandom normal one.

Alcohol is not a notable when you drink and if you don’t have care, you can have a bottle and put dizzy.

This is the very best French Champagne! We have this every year on my birthday! If you have to take a gift to someone this will not disappoint. The cost is reasonable for a true French Champagne … Approx $50-$60.

A really balanced and universally lovable cuvee. Bubbles on the medium size, also medium bodied with a smooth texture. Citrus notes with a bit of sourdough on the nose, with an integrated and surprisingly long finish.

A bottle that would satisfy both a champagne lover and a casual drinker.

Had this a number of years ago at one of our favorite restaurants in town where we know the manager well. We were really impressed and asked her what it was. She told us it was basically an ‘industry product only’, not typically available on the retail market.

Then she told us it was about $5. 00/ bottle and we couldn’t believe it. We looked around and found a wholesaler willing to sell us a case and have had some on hand ever since. It’s wonderful as a ‘toasting’ beverage at parties and makes excellent mamosas.

It’s really smooth and definitily not ‘bitety/bitter’ like the typically ‘cheap’ bruts out there. It’s just a nice drinkable brut at a fantastic price.

I tried this Champagne while in Riverside CA. I was visiting from Yuma and I started looking for it. Finally found on your site but felt the shipping charge was way to high. Wrote to customer service telling them how much I really like this product but shipping was too high.

They were nice enough to give me a lower price which made it affordable for me. I seen they had other wines that they were selling with no shipping charge. But I wanted Wycliff Champagne. Thank you for working with me on the product.

Ok so I have mixed emotions about this. Hubby and I received this as a Wedding Gift. The bottle year was 1994, and it was GRRRROOOOSSSSS!!! It tasted like cognac with a splash of champagne, that’s been sitting in a plastic cup too long.

LOL. However!!! It hits you – FAST! Like a few sips of this and you are nice and tipsy! Lol so it works! It just doesn’t taste great. Maybe a newer year, not so aged would’ve tasted better.

I buy this for my family’s gathering on 12/24/21. It was favorite of everyone it. It has a fruitful flavor, no overly sweet has a light tartness to the palate the flavor lingers and the bubbles are small to medium never ending.

I have had Veuve and Dom Perignon 2010 vintage. This bottle tasted better and at a lower price point. If a not trying spend a lot and are looking for something inexpensive go for it and get it.

It’s a good champagne. Slightly sweet and crisp. Flavor is a bit fruity with crispness. I think it’s a bit pricey. I prefer cheaper champagnes. Honestly, I expected to be blown away due to the hype around it.

It not bad at all, I just expected more.

I find Mumm Cordon Rouge Champagne Non-Vintage tastier than Moet. It deliciously crisp and dry without that cheap own brand champagne taste. I bought for our wedding anniversary and I am very pleased with the buy.

I will get one again for New Year’s celebrations.

This is one lovely champagne: elegant looking, full of bubbles, crispy and very easy to drink. Without doubt, it is perfect for any special celebration! Looking forward to buying it again soon.

I had not tried this champagne for some time but it was as good as I remember. Perfect for any celebration or just as a treat, it has plenty of bubbles and a delicate flavour. This is definitely on my Christmas list.

I had never quite understood the jubilance about Champagne. Throughout the years of many celebrations, I have tried an innumerable number of them at every price point. I have even sampled supposedly some of the best; the famed Don Perignon, Brignac Ace of Spades and its gorgeous gold bottle, the bourgeois revered Cristal.

Perhaps it’s just my tastebuds but none have appealed to me outside of a glass of mimosa. You should not feel compelled to drink it in order not to waste it, nor should you need to enhance Champagne in order to enjoy it.

After trying Moet & Chandon Nectar Imperial, I Get it! This Champagne is something to get REALLY excited about. It is so balanced for my palate; robust yet velvety, full of fruit flavors with fine bubbles without being too sweet (I hate really sweet wines), nor too acidic, or sharp.

Another good point – no headache from overindulging!-).

My husband & myself really enjoy Moët Imperial nectar it’s Demi – Sec, goes lovely with fish dishes. It’s the nicest Demi – Sec so far we have tried. Not many places sell it, but good old Asda has it on offer at the minute.

I bought this thinking it’d be special some way or another. However, I was wrong. This champagne, amongst others, taste exactly the same. Whtehter you buy Korbel California champagne or this $190 champagne, it all tastes the same.

I was very disappointed. Okay if I’m spending $100+ on a bottle, it better taste different than the rest. This wasn’t the case. Don’t waste your $$$. Buy a simple, cheap California champagne and you’ll be drinking the same thing as if you were to buy this bottle.

When I opened this bottle, I thought I was sick because it genuinely doesn’t have a taste. I don’t know if the bottle was off, because at most it was just bubbly. I didn’t taste many or any notes. This was severely disappointing.

I hope the bottle truly was a dud, but the difference between this and a different champagne brand, like Noble Cuvée, is night and day.
