20 Best Character Pre Sequel (2022 Updated)

I bought the game a couple of days ago since I was itching to play this on my PC or PS4 but never got around to it. The appeal of playing portable was really enticing so I decided to get it for the Switch.

Mind you this game is a port from the other consoles and was not optimized for Switch. I’m about 12 hours into the storyline and it’s an amazing and comical story to play through (at one point a character uses a booger to beat the cheat) and there’s a lot of depth to the gameplay.

You have your run of the mill battles in dungeons, the battles in the overall map, the battles with your army, your own kingdom, and the list goes on. Like I said earlier, playing portable is probably one of the best things about the Switch.

Only downside is that since this is only a port from the other consoles, there are performance issues where the framerate drops when there’s a lot happening on the screen or when you’re travelling in the open world.

I’d recommend this game from what I’ve played but most definitely on another console (new-gen or latest gen) since this game’s design & artwork were made to be enjoyed on a better screen/performance console.

I haven’t played this yet, but from everything I’ve read/watched, it seems to be an excellent follow-up to the original Ni No Kuni. I’m glad to be able to own and eventually play both the first and this sequel on the Nintendo Switch — playing JRPG’s on a handheld system is ideal for me.

Ni No Kuni 2 looks to have tons of accessibility and quality of life features. Difficulty options with an easy mode for those who just want to enjoy the wonderful Studio Ghibli inspired world and characters.

I hear the combat has been refined and is more enjoyable than the first as well. Overall, I’m super happy with this purchase. I can’t wait to jump into it at some point this year. It arrived packaged well which is always a concern with shipping.

This game is by far one of the best JRPG games in the market, although it might lack the seriousness and more adult driven themes in most RPGs its lighter tone and feel gives us the opportunity to be at ease and relax from the storm of adrenaline and intense gameplay experience provided by almost all new games at the moment.

Ni No Kuni 2 excels in storytelling, game mechanics and friendly graphics, delivering and different and much needed rested experience in gaming. The Characters are well thought and put a relaxing theme around the whole story, there are no extremes here.

The main focus is on the quest drive to help others and built upon the main characters destiny. I really recommend this game to all gamers who are looking for a fresh twist on a very old classic game genre.

Miitopia is a uniquely bizarre title that takes the standard RPG formula and makes it work for a new generation. It retains the standard HP, MP gameplay but much of your adventure focuses on team relationships with zany wacky scripting.

In this single-player adventure, you and your Mii companions take on the Dark Lord to free the kingdom from his face stealing tyranny. Originally released on the 3DS in 2017 the game gets a new HD coat of paint as well as some new features.

The new features include a horse that can be added to your party as well as new skills, jobs, and character customizations (especially in hair). This game is a great adventure even if you have played it before.

It’s a good pickup for adults down to kids of eight years old, though my teens love it the most. Here’s hoping that Nintendo also re-releases Tomodachi Life on the Switch at some point as well. It deserves a second chance as well.

As somebody who does not typically play turn-based RPGs, Miitopia has been a very enjoyable one. If it were not for the character limit, I’d write an essay on what I love and dislike about this game.

So I will do a list: Pros: – Adorable – Decent customization options for all but one character’s faces (NPCs included!) – Banger soundtrack (especially the boss battle music) – Variety of classes (although they unlock as you progress) – Creative designs for enemies and many areas of the game – Decent and funny armor designs – Basic understanding of RPG elements without overwhelming the player (abilities, leveling up, relationship building with teammates, effects inflicted on by enemies, etc.

) Cons: – Grinding. Lots and lots of grinding (it’s baby’s first RPG, gotta embrace the good and bad of it) – The tank class – Evil imps – Have I mentioned the tank class? Do not play have anyone on the team play as the tank class.

The faces of the Miis have been stolen and you need to help recover them. You can chose to keep the pre-generated characters or create your own. You will assign attributes to this characters personalities and can customize how they look.

It’s an RPG lite still game. The concept seems cool, my children spent many hours creating custom mii characters. At ages 7 and 9, they both find the game engaging.

This game is great for young kids and also to play as a family! There are multiple mini games for everyone to play together (versus or cooperative). Coins can be earned to purchase new outfits for your Tsum Tsum, and you can be gifted or earn additional Tsum characters that are all part of Disney’s character collection.

This game entertains my six- and eight-year-old for a good amount of time.

Very cute game that I can enjoy with the wife. She is not a very big gamer, so the mini games and the ease of use to play the games with the joycon make this a big plus. Nothing complicated and very simple to grasp, make this a fun and enjoyable game for gamers and non-gamers alike.

It makes you feel like you are at Disneyland while playing the arcade games with all the Tsum Tsums around.

I have the tsumtsum game on my phone and when I saw this, I had to inmediatamente grab it! It comes with multiple games that you can play by yourself or with friends. You earn coins and use the coins to get more taumtsums or to level them up too.

I’ve tried to get into the borderlands games. This is the third one i’ve played. While the colors are vibrant, the dialogue is humorous, and the weapons are cool, the game isn’t fun to play. The physics and map system ruin it.

You can’t move easily. Character moves super slow and jumping is not accurate. The map/objective marker system is not easy to follow at all. If I don’t know where i’m supposed to go, and I can’t easily move around in the game, it doesn’t take long before I just quit playing because it isn’t fun.

Bought this as a replacement for my boyfriend as he has lost his original copy. Box came with a sticker half pealed off on front and top of the box broke slightly (pictures added) with no bits of the missing box inside of the envelope meaning it was like this before shipping.

A bit annoying as I cant give it as a surprise looking like that on the outside but the disc inside is perfectly fine with the booklets inside too. Will just have to give the disc separately from the box! Overall happy with the disc as it wasnt expensive to start off with! Arrived on time and the packaging was secure! :).

This game is so much fun and different from the others. This is the most interesting part to learn about the game and how jack became a bad guy. Plus how cool clap trap can be in the game💕

While yes it is amazing to have another borderlands game I think it kind of strayed away and just didn’t have the same appeal and repeat feel as the other two games.

Cheap Fun game, Quick fast purchase and shipping.

Even though this game resembles Destiny in some ways (loot based, moon setting, FPS), it excels at doing it. If you played Borderlands 2 this game may feel like a DLC and that is not a bad thing. As someone who never played Borderlands before this was a nice intro to the series.

Shooting mechanics are good and there are plenty of ways to upgrade your character’s stats known as skill trees. The difficulty level is nicely balanced as you progress. You can always play with a friend co-op through the campaign.

The game is not bug free but it does not affect the experience overall. If you are not into exploring for loot and upgrades and doing some grinding this is not the game for you though. The campaign is long enough with plenty of side missions to keep you busy.

Overall this game is a must buy if you still own a last gen console while waiting to upgrade to a ps4 or xbox one.

I got Borderlands the Pre-sequel on the PC as a gift for my son and I. We’re both fans of the Borderlands games. This game did not disappoint, it had the same familiar play and graphics as the other games in the series but the playstyle and storyline was different enough to make the game feel completely different from it’s predecessors and a new twist on the story line added an interesting new insight into the Borderlands universe.

Pros: New characters with new skill tree, overall well written main story to complete, Solo and multi play, Voice acting done well and fit the events, new world and new dynamics to master or just screw around in, and Billions of Guns.

Cons: New dynamics ( low gravity ) can catch you off guard if you tunnel vision, limited to 4 multi players at a time, and to many gun choices, Really – Billions of guns is too much, I was just getting used to a few million to sort thru (:-} Overall : A great FPS if your a fan, story and gameplay not to difficult but challenging enough to keep me interested in playing on and trying all the characters.

it is a fun game to play

So there are technically 3 parts to this. Part one is a little back story of the goings on before the original Sisters are hanged, as well as what happens prior to the event of Halloween night 1993 when the movie takes place.

Part two is the story we know and love with a few details here and there that play into the sequel and also connect the first part. Then the sequel begins and thats where the fail hits for me. So after you get through the first hundred and some pages of ABSOLUTELY NOTHING happening in the sequel, the the sisters finally return and then the confusion sets in.

A whole lot of nothing. modern technology like cell phones and social media, bullying and trying to wane out the original characters enough to bring this new story to life. The new goal of the witches is beyond lame, sure it could have worked if it wasn’t so drawn out, a weird solo song by Mary which was pointless and a final battle that was rushed.

In the sequel it was made to feel like the Sandersons went from these iconic Name Brands to harsh generic made for tv characters. And the last chapter was like a made for tv movie setting up for a cheap spinoff tv series which didn’t quite make me want to see it or care.

In the end I was glad to close the book and put it on a shelf to be forgotten. As a true fan of Hocus Pocus I was left feeling sad and empty. I wanted to read this so bad and flew through the first part, and then crashed and burned as I struggled to care or try and get involved with the weak story of the sequel.

How do you rate a book when there are two stories in one? It doesn’t seem fair to the book that’s good when the other is weighing it down. Hocus Pocus: of course it was amazing! It was like watching the movie in your head but your reading 🤪.

For the part one of the book I gave it 5/5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Part two: What in Tar-nation did I read? Are we sure the same person who wrote hocus pocus wrote the second part to it? It’s like they did a complete 360 when it came to part two.

It’s great to see some of the characters from part one in part two but it’s like why were they in there for like five seconds of fame. Could have totally left them out. So I have to rate it 3/5 stars.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ mainly because of two quotes that were shared in the book. Man they had me laughing. I’ll write them below. So Poppy Travis and Elizabeth are sitting eating pizza and they are talking about the Sanderson sisters when Travis says.

” and apparently Sarah’s real thirsty. ” And So part one it was said that a virgin will call back the sisters when the said virgin lights the candle. Well I want tell you who said it you’ll have to read the book but poppy is in the graveyard with her friends when the “person” says ” Hello, Poppy.

” “I’m guessing your dads no longer a virgin”. Mouth drops open I’m dead I’m laughing so hard. Poor max still can’t catch a break.

The first half of the Book is the original movie just adapted onto the page, With some added detail of character development. Which was interesting to see that play out. The second half of the Book, is the sequel set in 2018.

Finding Max and Allison to be married and have a daughter named Poppy. Then, all Hocus Pocus breaks loose and the Sanderson Sisters are conjured back up again in this fun, comedic new take!.

This game is a fun and whimsical Japanese RPG game with alchemy at its core. The battle are more action oriented, and concentrate on timed hits and using items you’ve made from your alchemy. The characters are great, and the story is pretty interesting although not quite epic.

The characters are the driving force of the game, and they drive it plenty. The graphics are solid, and look great on the Switch. The music is orchestral and light, and there are great melodies— not much in the way of intense tracks.

Overall, great game for anime jrpg fans, watch a video first if you’re not familiar with the genre.

I have the first Ryza game so I had to buy its sequel. I really enjoy the collecting/gathering and crafting aspect of this game. You can really make anything with random ingredients. The characters are all great too.

It helps if you played the first game as you will already be familiar with most of the characters. Also Klaudia is best girl.

This is my second Atelier game, and the first one was surprisingly fun. This game is more of the same so far. I would recommend if you were a fan of the first game, or if you are a die hard jrpg person.

If you only play Final Fantasy then this may not speak to your interest. Also if you are a dubbed voices person, please be mindful that all of the voice options are Japanese though the text and menus are fully english.

This is a tough one. This game is really great. It really is. It’s a gorgeous turn-based RPG with a very unique style, a brilliant past/present/future mechanic, amazing characters, solid story line. There’s is such a great game here IF you are willing to deal with a couple things.

First the load times are long. Not just long on cut scenes, but long on the random encounters that pop up while traveling thru the game. So you’re going to dealing with long loads a LOt. 2nd the game has a very high learning curve/difficulty.

Which is great! But when you couple that with long/frequent load times – you are looking at a lot of people that are going to abandoned this game before making it very far at all. Tough to score really.

It’s an easy 5 star game without these issues stacking up; but what we have here due to the technical issues is a 3 star game in a 4 star games shell. It really is absolutely gorgeous, and well developed otherwise.

The good: – Interesting battle system. – Some strong character design on some of the cast. The bad: – I haven’t seen load times this bad since the PS1 days. Also suffers from some game crashing bugs.

– The story, town, world map, and environments are quite bland. – Not a fan of real world politics being placed in games from either side of the political spectrum. Ultra-left views (communism), groups (Antifa), and symbolism (BLM posters) are glorified.

The verdict: – I was really looking forward to this one since it was revealed in 2019 at E3. One of the most disappointing games I’ve ever played and may be the first game I’ve returned for a refund due to the abnormal loading times and a few bugs.

Time mechanic was intriguing but under utilized. Art style was catchy. Colors were bright. Story didn’t get tedious. Side missions were interesting and effected story not mindless fetch quests. Played on games pass but bought switch version for collection.

Can’t comment on switch performance.

Shoot thousands of goblins in the face with a flaming crossbow, throw gigantic meteors at gross anthropomorphic mushrooms, and hang out with a queen horse that’s literally made out of diamonds. That’s Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands in a nutshell, and if that all sounds like a reskinned Borderlands 3, it’s because it is.

But that doesn’t end up being such a bad thing! The excellent writing and stellar voice acting performances combine beautifully with the twisted and insane FPS mayhem to create something extremely memorable.

This fantasy twist on the Borderlands formula delivers the adventure I dreamt of playing ever since playing the Borderlands 2 DLC that inspired it, and although it very much plays it safe in a lot of ways, it’s been an absolute blast so far.

If you enjoyed previous Borderlands games, then you’ll enjoy this one and know what to expect. Love this series for the fun coop campaign and gameplay. Humor is decent too. Graphics are noticeably better on the PS5 compared to previous games.

Got a good sale considering how newly released it is.

This game originally was released as a free PC or Steam title. You can still get the free version. However, this review would argue purchase the Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! version. The original free version of the game required basic manipulation of files and multiple deletions and downloads in order to play through to the “Good Ending” or “True Ending.

” This Plus! version makes playing through the story more technically straightforward while keeping all of the surprises and endearing eeriness. The added content is definitely worth purchasing the game, as well.

Playing the game on Nintendo Switch was especially nice: This game is a visual novel. This means that it is akin to reading an interactive book where the only “gaming” involves selecting various “Choose Your Own Adventure” choices that redirect the story.

So, the portability of Switch or Switch Lite is great for this game. Note, this game is NOT intended for children. Adult topics and themes permeate this game. Finally, all of the extras described in the product description are included in the Switch case itself.

So, do not worry that there is no outer box. The extras are nice and of good quality. Doki Doki Literature Club is one game and story you will not be able to put down and will want to revisit often.

Well now that was something. It’s hard to review this game without giving anything away, but it is a visual novel style game that has more going on in the story than it seems at first. The warnings at the beginning of the game should tell you as much.

So make sure you know what you’re getting into. As for this release. I didn’t think they’d be able to pull this off on a console, but they did a smashing job. The extras included in this version are a very nice touch.

If you’re thinking of buying this you probably already have heard of it and know what’s going to happen. Pick it up. It’s worth owning a physical copy.

Not going to spoil the game itself for any new players, but will focus on the bonus extras included. The bonus poem from Monika is pretty cool, the sticker sheet is adorable (wish they were a little larger!), the club member card is hard plastic and very well made, the soundtrack download card is in the shape of a floppy disk (but sadly printed on thin paper), and the best bonus is definitely the set of four standees of the four girls.

I wish they were a little larger and made of plastic and not chip/cardboard, but it’s still nice these were included. This is a pretty great special edition for a very niche visual novel game.

This is a nice adventure game, not for everyone. The combat can be fun or clunky and frustrating, the lore in the game is cool but the graphics are a little outdated. Had fun with it but not the best

i beat second main boss and the Labyrinth gate did not open. this was game killing glitch.

I jave wanted to play Collar Malice X for years and I was so happy when I heard it was coming to Switch. So far it’s quickly become the best Otome I’ve ever played. I’m in the middle of the Mineo route and can’t wait to see how it ends and do the other routes.

I love the depth of characterization we get here and how th MC isn’t just a blank slate or a total doormat, like you find in too many otome. The dialogue is great, the music and art syle are beautiful and I like the trigger mechanic quite a lot.

It adds something special to a game in a genre not known for having gameplay at all outside of dialogue or maybe certain action choices. This is a really special game and I can’t wait for Callar Malice X Unlimited to get a release date.

I’m really eager to preorder it, but I prefer to preorder when I have a solid date. Anyway, play this game!.

Collar x Malice was originally released for PS Vita. I was so happy that the game publisher decided to localize this game on Nintendo Switch. The story was really interesting, and there were multiple routes and endings.

Moreover, the artwork was beautiful, and the interactions between characters were very lively. It is one of my favorite otome games.

I love it! All conversation are said in Japanese which is wonderful! I love listening to Voice actors. The story is quite interesting and I love the character development. A great otome game!

Older FPS game which runs very fast on the PS4 – discovered you could change the field of view (and make it feel much more modern), loot is very rare so much more rewarding, there’s a lot of difficult grinding, limited ammo and no money, its a constant choice which weapons you need to save expensive ammo for, you can’t just go blasting with a rocket launcher (at least up to level 25).

Similar to the starting levels of others, eg Halo. It’s not harder than Borderlands 3, most of the time its easier, but some bosses wipe you out & you have to adapt your game and go at it 3 or 4 times.

The main benefit is lack of choice, rather than far too much choice with B3 – you have to make do with the limited offerings you have – but it’s fun, fast to get into, you can snipe bad guys with one shot but get your backside wiped if you didn’t notice the wildlife behind you, or fall through a maddening gap in the floor – haven’t played anything else since purchase.

My husband and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this game! Its fun and entertaining enough that it will waste away most of your weekend, lol. It caters to both male and female gamers, and is very tastefully done. The characters are awesomely designed (weapons/skins/faces/hair), have their own dialogue (for example, when you idle, they express their boredom).

It isnt lacking in intensity. There are plenty of opponents to kill, varying from people to monsters, on various colorful terrains and worlds. Its also abundant in side missions. If you want to have a good laugh while you play a hysterical/bloody game, this pack is for you! (^ – ^).

I absolutely love the Borderlands games, they’re so much fun! With a couple of different characters to choose from, you’ll find something to fit your preferred fighting style. My personal favorite is the soldier with his turrets.

My husband and I play this together all the time when we’re bored. We’ve both beaten them multiple times, oddly enough it’s one of the few games I never tire off. FYI, this is not a game for kids. Loads of cursing and violence, it’s a great way to let off some steam! The graphics are in this great comic book style which I didn’t think would appeal to me, but it’s actually pretty great.

The first Borderlands is still my favorite, but these other two are worth checking out!.

I bought this game when it was first released. I bought it again as a gift for a fellow gamer who is not as big a fighting game fan as I am. The game has been out for two years now, but for twenty bucks you get the legendary edition, which includes ALL the characters.

This is one of my all time favorite console fighting games, and i have dozens. I rank this up there with Street Fighter 2 Championship Edition. This is a superb game. Graphics: awesome. Controls: precise.

Story: good ( for a fighting game ). As an old school gamer I’d knock off a half star because I don’t like having to pay for some extras like characters and skins( costumes ). There was a time you’d earn these things by simply being good at the game, but I realize those days are gone.

The characters look and even sound great. When connected to a home theatre system you really can appreciate every thud and every crunching blow, especially from the stronger characters. The incredible super moves are easy to pull off and will fill your screen and your speakers.

And keep your ears open for Jeffery Combs of Reanimator fame. I do not play online so I can’t comment on that aspect. I also have the the new Mortal Kombat (11) ,which is very good, but I still prefer to play Injustice 2.

Any true fighting game fan likely already has this game,but if you know one that doesn’t or someone who does not usually play fighters, do them a favor and and get them Injustice 2 Legendary Edition.

If you were to play the first game and the new one back to back, you would be set aback at how different they are. Injustice 2 fixes most if not all of the problems with the original. The gameplay is very responsive and streamlined such that anyone can pick up the game and learn to play a fighter.

The combo system is set as a dial a combo, meaning that if you had trouble doing combos in guilty gear, street fighter, or king of fighters, you won’t have to worry as much as you can input the commands for the combo and they will play out for you.

The graphics for the new game are vastly improved as the original was bland and darker color palettes were used. The new game has very realistic facial models, realistic body proportions, even for women which Netherrealms has always struggled with.

The best improvment though are the colors, which are varied, with many warms and brights. Much like Netherealms recent track recor has shown, even if you aren’t a fan of multiplayer, the story mode for this game is pretty great, it’s at 3-4 hours with replayability, and there’s even a story mode for every character in the form of multiverses, which reward players with new gear for every character.

Lastly the gear system in this game allows you to customize all the outfits and even the special attacks of all the characters in the games. The premium gear sets even change the character themselves, mostly visual.

An example of this is a premium outfit for the flash is reverse flash, and even the voice actor was changed for the outfit. All in all, if you are a DC fan, or a fighting game fan, do yourself a favor and get this game.

I do recommend the Ultimate edition as well as the value is certainly there, they put a lot of love into the DLC characters, even characters like Sub-Zero that might feel like a lazy pull, he plays great!.

As a big fan of the comics, one thing in particular that is so much fun to me about this game is the wide array of characters- some well-known and others relatively obscure. There are character-specific dialogue interactions that occur before each match and they are so much fun since they make such good use of different relationships and histories.

For example, a fight between green arrow and black canary might begin with banter concerning who was supposed to get a sitter for Connor Hawke. The designs are also much better in this game compared to the original.

Batman’s costume alone is a vast improvement. And the gear system allows for customization if you aren’t so hot on a particular costume. Maybe you also prefer green arrow’s robin hood cap? Not a problem! Though, admittedly you do have to unlock it, but still, it is a game.

And a good one at that.

Fun game but the multiplayer is dead, crashes once in awhile during cutscenes in story mode, but everything else was wonderful.

The game came way earlier then expected and its amazing! The purchase was well worth it.

English and Japanese voices, Great game 5 starts all the way

It’s good for what it is, however I’m my opinion, it could very easily be better. The character customization is severely lacking. I couldn’t tell if my character was any gender at all, which is bad.

It seems to be caught too much up in politically correct, so much that the rest of the game suffers from it. Yes there are certain minorities that exist, however there are many more groups that play games than just one specific one.

It’s hard for me to enjoy the game seeing that exists and is obviously apparent that the game is trying to appeal more to one demographic as opposed to more demographics.

It’s a pretty good and casual game. The art style is neat and the concept is rather interesting. There’s a decent amount of customization and diversity/inclusion options.

This is an interesting game. It was definitely worth it to pick it up while I was on sale.

I will admit, what drew me to investigate this game was the unique artwork, but when I discovered that it was a side-scrolling action RPG in the vein of Champions of Mystara, it was a no-brainer for me to pick up.

If you’ve never played a side-scrolling action RPG before, think of this game as a blend of Final Fight (or any of the old side-scrolling beat-’em-up games), and Diablo. The game play is all very action oriented, requiring you to do real-time button combos to use special attacks or spells, and actively dodging the attacks of your foes.

You gain experience and loot as you adventure, making yourself more powerful as you work your way deeper into the more challenging areas of the game. There are six different playable characters, each of which have unique combat styles, which offers the game a pretty hefty replay value.

The game itself is intended to be a multiplayer (4 players max), and cross-networks with the portable version via the Playstation Network, where players can team up on adventures or duel each other in a battle royale! Fortunately, the single-player campaign is pretty immersive and engaging.

Be warned that the game is pretty short, all things considered; there are only 9 different areas to explore, all of which are are fairly linear. The music and graphics are very well done. Even though the graphics are done in the style of a 90’s arcade game, they are lovingly rendered and very creatively utilized.

Don’t expect a game that rides the bleeding-edge of gaming technology, but rather a classic with retro sensibilities.

This game is a very good game to play, but it does become a little hard to level up. Other than that, this game is definitely worth the money I have paid. It takes me back to games like golden axe and streets of rage.

I’ve always been interested in Retro games and this game really makes it feel both old and new on So many levels. I love this game so much. thank you atlus/Sega. PS. the dwarf looks so funny XD.

This game is like Odin Sphere, a 2D game but way more interesting that 3D games. This game gets kind of tiring after the second round, because you have to play the same routes just to train second role, instead train the new role with the previous trained character.

Other than this, I like this game a lot. You can play with other people on line or just off line, by yourself or with group. very good team setting design. I do not know what else I should say, because I want to you to actually play this game and enjoy the same things as I had while playing.

You will like this game a lot.
