20 Best Charcoal Face Peel (2022 Updated)

I believe myself to be bit of a masking expert, and I must admit that this one does have high level of difficulty in using, but once you get the hang of it the results are incredible. First, you must avoid getting this on any of your facial hair, including eyebrows and your hair line.

It will not pull away from your hair, so you will not get any of the peeling benefits. Second, you might be better off just using this on your cheeks, forehead, and nose, as it can prove to be a bit difficult to get off the curves off your face, like your jawline.

Lastly, once you get a little piece of the mask pulled up from your face, just gently keep it going. Like shaving, the less strokes — or pulls — you have to do the better. Once you get the hang of this mask, I think you will love the results.

It left my face noticeable softer, smoother, and cleaner. I would recommend gently washing your face immediately after you remove to the mask to clear any dead skins cells and other debris from your pores and then properly moisturize.

I only use this once a week. Highly recommend.

I found this mask difficult and painful to peel off and it left my skin a bit irritated and splotchy, when I tried to use it as an all-over, peel-off mask. I’ve since used it a few times as a spot treatment on individual zits and it works GREAT! I apply it to the small area, leave on overnight (let dry before going to bed and it won’t get on your pillowcases) and wash off in the morning and the zit is GONE.

This is a pretty awesome peel off face mask. It is a little “runny” at first but you can feel it tingle and penetrate deep in your skin immediately. So easy to use, spread a thin layer on your face and neck, let dry and peel upwards from your chin.

After the first use I couldn’t believe how bright, clean, and soft the skin on my face looked. I’m 45 and I felt like I was in college again! I use it once a week and look and feel younger instantly!.

I was a happy repeat user of the black peel off mask from Boscia but then the formula changed and I needed to find a replacement. I’v tried many other brands and this is the closest to what I’m looking for.

I need it to grab the little fine hairs that don’t leave the follicle once shed. If I don’t clear them, they hang out and little blackheads form. This really does the job now that I have used it a few times.

The trick for me is to use a moderate to thick layer over my face and let it completely dry. Then I slowly peel from both my chin and forehead a little bit at a time slowly. Too fast and boy does it hurt! And any stray hair or eyebrow that makes contact is a goner.

Five stars for efficacy, four due to the pain. But please don’t mess with the formula! Skin type is oily, medium pores, not sensitive.

The first time I used the Black Peel-Off Mask, it wasn’t dry enough in 20 minutes, so the second time I waited another five minutes. The third time I waited 30 minutes and it was mostly dry and peeled of nicely, with a little facecloth clean up needed here and there.

I found that a gently rubbing with the pad of my finger got the little remaining pieces. I read the reviews and didn’t want to gouge my skin with my fingernail, so I proactively used just the pad of my finger and the facecloth for the little areas that didn’t peel in one sheet.

I like this product because I had a noticeably smaller pore size from the first use. I like the pleasant, yet light, smell and I can’t say that about many products. I definitely had no new whiteheads in the week when I used the product twice in the one week.

This product is well worth trying, although I was only using it for pore size and small whiteheads, so I can only attest to that getting better. Definitely needed more time to dry, but not messy, even though it looks like it might be.

I’m on the fence with this product. In the last two months, I’ve taken up steaming my face and applying a mask. I really wanted to decrease the appearance of my pores. I had used the boscia mask and really liked it so this seemed like a great alternative when I couldn’t find the boscia one.

It definitely isn’t as good as the original boscia one. My skin feels maybe slightly smoother but I’m not sure how much of that is other products and steaming vs. this mask. I would just look into places to find the boscia mask and lower price points opposed to going for this mask.

I didn’t notice a difference much in my pores but I enjoy using it and feel like it deep cleans my pores which have gotten larger as I’ve gotten older. Does seem to draw out gunk and junk and my face feels very clean after using.

I only. use occasionally because it does seem a little harsh.

Worked as expected. It was my first peel off mask and I had no idea how much it hurt to come off!! One thing though. I just turned 31 and have had lines on my forehead for about 3 years. I swear the second the mask came off, they were deeper.

I figured it was just some irritation swelling. 3 days later and they are still deeper than they were. Super weird. Next time I’ll only be using it on my nose and chin, maybe my fore head. I just don’t think around my eyes and cheeks need it bad enough to feel that pain again.

My husband laughed the whole time I was taking it off because it was nearly unbearable. But again, nice clean face and took off any dead skin that was on the surface.

Im quite surprised with this one. I gave it a try after seeing it on facebook and it makes your skin very smooth and clean. My skin has gotten much clearer too and I’ve only used it 4 times since I got it.

I will continue to use. Though it does have a very strong smell when you first apply it on. I’m already getting a few other products from here since I really like this one.

Loved this product. I’ve used it twice so far and it leaves my skin so smooth. The mask is thick so it takes a little effort to layer on. I washed my face and dried it well. I layered on the mask and it took 20mins to fully dry.

Peeling off the mask wasn’t difficult at all. It does feel a little tight so i would AVOID your hair at all costs, I’m sure this mask would rip it off. I loved how it removed most of my black heads. The black mask certainly shows all the white heads and black heads visible which is also nice.

Overall, will be purchasing again. Highly recommend.

It’s thin and runny so I put it on with the applicator in small patches until my whole face (avoiding sensitive areas as instructed) was covered. For me it took longer to dry (~45 minutes) but I live in a very humid environment.

I peeled it off slowly and it did pinch a little in spots, but no more than similar products I’ve used in the past. It really got the gross stuff out of my pores and left my skin feeling soooo soft. I couldn’t believe how soft and smooth my face felt! Gave my mom a facial with it after I tried it and she gave the same feedback.

For me, the bottle will last about 3-4 applications.

I loved this mask! I was getting alot of pimples and ive heard good things about charcoal masks and the ones the you peel. I saw this for 5 bucks and i had to get it. I would put it on and when taking it off it would not hurt.

My skin did look clear after a week. I went back to the store to get another but I never found it. it was a sad day 😭.

I gave it a 3 start product because I still use it only when am tryna do a quick mask on for the say and not do my full routine. Does have a little smell to it but last pretty long and it’s cheap. I dont notice no blackheads removes but does take the dry skin.

I loved this peel off mask! It was very inexpensive ($3 at my local store) and did the job quickly. It was super easy to apply and only took 10 minutes to dry! Successfully cleaned out my pores and comes off without tugging on your skin.

Peeled off without any trouble and left my skin soft! The only reason I didn’t give this product a 5 star review was because when you initially apply it, it does have a very strong alcohol smell that I didn’t like, but the smell quickly fades as it dries up.

I love this product so much and I love how easy it is to use. This was the first time I used it and I can’t get enough of it. It felt me feeling so clean and fresh. It’s also very affordable and the charcoal works so well.

I will say that you will have to use some moisturizer after since it does leave your skin a little dry but it’s not to harsh. I will definitely buy this product again 😊.

I am in love with this mask !! It is gentle and actually works amazing on my skin. I leave it sit on my skin for 15-20 minutes and it doesnt dry up or get all cakey. I then were my hand and rub it in and I am able to feel the heat and feel it working.

The brand actually sent this mask to me for free, but my opinion is honest I swear! It’s such a unique formula, Ive never used a mask like it. Usually masks like this feel muddy or thick, but this is so oily and slick.

This mass is great when you are breaking out. Putting it on makes your skin clear on continuous use. It doesn’t hurt as you take it off. When you take it off you can’t tell the difference in your skin being clear and brighter.

It doesn’t make your skin dry also. .

I had a friend of mine give me an extra bottle she wasn’t using but I was skeptical. I’ve used charcoal peels before and, eh. not a fan. Usually dries out my face like crazy and honestly, i tend to not notice much of a difference.

but WOW. This stuff really works. without getting too graphic lets just say i weirdly enjoyed seeing all the stuff the mask peeled off my face. gross but satisfying! I will say that I do have sensitive skin so for me, i felt that the peeling process was painful but I still give the product 5 stars.

I’m fascinated by this stuff. If you were one of those kids who loved playing with glue or rubber cement, this is for you! In all seriousness, it works. There is a trick to it. You actually need to layer it thicker than you imagine.

If you have a thin layer, it will turn kinda grey in my experience, won’t work. Make sure you let it dry very well. If you don’t, it will be goopy gross getting it off your fingers is not fun. Once it’s dry, peel it off slowly.

It definitely pulls all the gunk out of my pores. I definitely recommend it.

This is a great peel off mask. One of the best charcoal ones I have tried so far. I have dry skin so I don’t use this on my whole face. But I think I could. After cleansing, I put it on for 10-15 mins.

Then it just peels off effortlessly. Also, is thick and not water so very clean to apply and leaves my skin soft, clean, smooth, and not dry or tight. Definitely recommend for all skin types. Ty to my friend who gave this this to me.

I got this in a sample size. It smells a little weird but it is tolerable. Love the simplistic packaging. I use this mask once a week and leave it on for 30 minutes per sitting. I could tell that it shrunk my pores and degreased my oil T.

It also doesn’t irritate my skin even in the dry spots.

This mask is very great! I consider myself to have normal skin and usually that means not too oily or too dry. I do have quite large pores though. I used this glittery face mask all over my face and it went well.

First off, it does look beautiful. Its shiny and super easy to apply. It took a while to dry but once it did everything was fine. To remove it I just started peeeling one of the ends. It was very easy actually, and it didn’t hurt me.

It left my skin feeling very nice and hydrated, with not a lot of texture around the nose area which I struggle a lot with. I’d definitely recommend this mask, it is beautiful and gets the job done very well.

Produces results very similar to the glamglow supermud mask, for one forth of the price. It’s a no brainer which mask I’m picking! This mask clears gunk out of your blackheads while also leaving your skin glowing and soft.

Ok so my sister bought this for me and I used it in two ways. One, as intended on my face. First of all, my skin tone has evened out tremendously by using this mask regularly. I was also having issues with hormonal acne around my chin that this completely cleared up within a few uses.

But the other way I used it was to treat poison ivy. I am EXTREMELY sensitive to poison ivy and live on a farm where it abounds so every spring/summer is a struggle because as much as I try to avoid it, I inevitably get into it somehow.

And when i say I’m sensitive, i mean it just explodes on my skin. It’s awful. I have tried everything over the years from steroids to calamine to natural options and while I’ve found ways to shorten the duration, nothing has prevented it from spreading or weeping.

I received this product for Christmas 2020 and I think it works pretty well. I love peel-off masks. They are super therapeutic and oddly satisfying lol. It left my skin feeling nice and soft. No bumps or pop-ups the next day.

The price is great as well. Also, I really like the bedtime collection that includes the retinol toner, eye mask, a moisturizer, a hydrating mist, and a retinol lip balm. Retinol is super good for the skin.

I purchased the my beauty spot charcoal peel off face mask with retinol for $3. 99 at Marshall’s. I thought it was a steal. Boy, I was wrong. This is like rubbing liquid tar on your face. It is so messy— it got all over the sink and the floor.

(Very hard to clean up as well) The product leaks through the cap once the foil covering the opening was removed. It took 18 minutes to dry on my face but didn’t seem to remove anything from my pores.

In fact I had to re wash my face after. The only reason I’m giving 3 stars is because it was easy to peel and came off in one large piece.

Peel off masks are so satisfying. Watching the yuckies come off your face is cathartic. I have larger pores around my t-zone that collect blackheads if I’m not consistent with skincare. This mask is decadent.

It feels so posh, and has helped refine pores over the last month and a half of use. I rock this look a couple of times per week to keep my 34 year-old skin looking glowy. There is no scent on this product and dries in 20-30 minutes.

I think this mask does a decent job. It’s a charcoal peel off mask and I was expecting something that would de-gunk my pores and shrink them. It somewhat does that. It feels good when you put it on, it has a somewhat cooling effect when applied.

Once it dries it has a very uncomfortable feeling. It’s tight and dry. Peeling it off isn’t very easy. In order to peel it off you have to put a thick amount on so that there is something to grab onto and peel.

I don’t like to apply my masks that way. I like to put an even coat on because I don’t think you need or rather you shouldn’t need an excessive amount to do the job. But if you don’t put a good amount on you will find it hard to peel off.

After peeling it off my skin looks tighter, my pores look smaller and my face feels refreshed but it also feels very dry. I have to use afterwards to add hydration back into my skin. I would recommend this to people with enlarged pores, blackheads and oily skin.

My wife bought me the Ulta best of men’s skincare box that has amazing products however this is not one of them. Stick to Pore Strips! I have other peel masks that cost much less and do the same which is pretty much nothing for me.

After several uses of this mask (I exfoliated first) I saw no gunk on the mask whereas a pore strip would be covered with all that lovely gunk from my pores. My face is smooth but I also exfoliated so I can’t credit the mask.

As others stated these masks are messy without any significant benefits and to do your entire face you’d need a lot of this product which is not cheap to replace. Messy is only good when you get results.

I gave the product 2 stars because it’s easy to remove if applied correctly and any residual comes right off with a warm towel. I want this to work so bad but I’ll stick to pore strips.

It’s comparable to the Elizavecca Milky Piggy Hell Pore Mask – but this feels even stronger. If you have really greasy skin, this will be a great product, but if you have sensitivity/redness/dry-combo skin you might have to patch test it first (before covering your whole face).

Alternatively, you can use it just on your T-zone / over your nose and won’t run into any issues.

I decided to try this product as i had seen a number of charcoal type products advertised on social media and thought it would be better than the plastic based nose stick on type peel products. You need to put a reasonable amount of the product on to create a firm mask that peels off in one go, but it seems to do the trick.

It isn’t too sticky so doesn’t feel too abrasive on your skin when removed, and it also does not leave a residue of oily material on your skin like the plastic products. I’d prefer the final mask to be more rubbery and peel of like a face mask, but this feels more like a thin piece of paper when it sets so you need to remove it carefully or it tears.

Overall i am happy with this product especially at its price.

Met Expectations Tried this product for the very first time. This is the first time i have done any deep skin cleaning on my face before and this product works excellent. i applied it thickly on my nose and cheek area and fore head, first attempt i left on for the recommend 20 mins then peeled it off and wasn’t that sore to come off.

Then i done a 2nd coat and left it on for 25 mins and seemed to work much beter the 2nd time round pulling out more from my pores, leaving my skin really fresh and smooth and clean looking. I think that you should apply this product a few times on 1 area so that product can work deeply every time pulling out more more from your pores, also maybe should leave it on for a little longer like 25-30mins giving it more curing time for it to get really hard on your skin.

But all round great product bit messy to work with. would buy again and continue to use more often keeping my face and pores nice clean,smooth. Many Thanks Ryan.

It’s OK. I have combination skin that’s prone to breakouts. It did peel away in a fun way, the dead skin layer on my face, but I got a several spots the next day. My husband tried the mask and his normal skin and it looked refreshed afterwards.

If you have complicated skin, I don’t recommend it, but if you have trouble free skin, go and have fun.

I love this face mask! It doing it’s job. No issue to take it off. Enough amount of masks to cover whole face properly. Left my face well prepare for cream.

I was really looking forward to using this item and trying out Revolutions new skincare line and I was disappointed. This mask not along is thick when coming out of the tube, when you use one application the bottle feels half empty.

When it comes to peeling it off, it’s horrendous! It comes off in pieces and not a full mask and you end up having to wash off a ton of the product that’s left on your face, way more than a normal mask and lastly.

it HURTS LIKE HELL. Oh my god it kills, it feels like you’re ripping your skin off and I ended up ripping a piece of skin off my nose while taking this off, will never use this again.

I’m 29 and have skin like a 12 year old! My pores are always bad and I always get breakouts so when I saw this, I was desperate to give it a go. Only used it once so far but it is a great product, I left it on for the time but it was still a wee bit wet in places, meaning I couldn’t peel it off.
