20 Best Charge 2 Bands (2022 Updated)

The Charge watch has been the workhorse of the fitbit line. Worth getting a Charge 2? In a word: YES. Since you’re familiar with the Charge already, let’s go over some of the issues you may have experienced and highlights/common questions answered:1) Build Quality: The Charge 2 is a far far superior quality than the original Charge.

Right out of the box, you’ll notice how much sturdier and thicker the band feels. 2) Swapping out bands is relatively easy. Once you figure out how to press on the band on each side to release, it’s fairly painless.

I could see someone elderly struggling with it at first. **If you had problems with your original Charge band bubbling, the ability to swap bands and how the tracker is connected to the bands should eliminate the issues you have experienced ** Obviously way too early to make a call on how the device will hold up, but given my experience with Blaze Alta, this feels similar in build quality, if not better, and neither of those devices have suffered from bands falling apart on a wide scale.

3) Width of the device is nearly identical to the original Charge/HR. The button on the left side of the device is much more pronounced (good thing). You can give it a nice firm click, and it doesn’t feel loose or cheap as some of the Charge buttons were prone to.

4) SIZING: The band itself is much longer than the original. I have always worn small in fitbit products, and found myself almost on the last hole. Something to keep in mind if you think you are on the cusp of small/large.

Small likely the way to go. 5) Display is nice, 4x larger than the original Charge. The font is displayed crystal clear, and is very bright. Can see it extremely well, even in bright sunlight. It is NOT a color screen.

The font is a bright offwhite, as opposed to the original Charge that had a soft almost blue to it. Texts when incoming scroll across the screen. 6) Overall look is sharp. Much better looking than the original.

Very sleek and elegant. Actually looks better than the Blaze given thinner profile. 7) Has a breathing/relaxation function. Have only dabbled with this. It actually monitors as you inhale and exhale and prompts you when to take deep breaths, etc.

More of a gimmick to me, but some may find this useful. 8) Navigation is relatively easy. When selecting specific workouts (you can customize the list in app), you hit the button on the side to get to the workout screen, then tap to cycle through them (run, weights, treadmill, elliptical, etc).

Hold the button and your workout starts. During the workout you can cycle through metrics specific to your activity such as calories burned, heart rate, etc. Some activities will display steps, pace,calories burned, etc.

9) Menu items start with your clock face, then by pressing the button will display Heart Rate, Exercise, Stopwatch, Relax, and Alarm. 10) Clock Faces: There are seven to choose from. Some display day date, and most have option to where when you tap the display it will cycle through stats (may display heart rate, date, steps taken, how far you are in your goals, your hourly movement reminders, etc).

BUT DOES IT HAVE SECONDS? Yes, two of the watch faces are digital (numbers display, not hands) and have seconds displayed. There is only one “classic” watch face with the hands, and no that one does not display a second hand.

11) Notifications: You get basic texts (no pictures of course), both SMS iMessage. Incoming calls will display the contact and/or phone number. And you get calendar alerts. There is no 3rd party support at this time such as facebook, instagram, etc (The Blaze watch will be offering these soon in next software upgrade, so I guess there is hope the Charge 2 will get those as well).

12) Reminders to Move: Sit on your butt too long and it will thump you with a vibe (250 steps per hour). Today I put it through its first paces with a workout. I use it mostly for light cardio and weights.

Heart rate was spot on as it usually was with original Charge HR my Blaze. No issues with step counting on the elliptical I used to warm it up. I have not used the watch for 24 hours yet, so have not been able to judge the VOX/Cardio Fitness Level rating new to this device.

PROS:- It is worth upgrading alone from the Charge/HR simply due to build quality. Pictures do not do it justice. As another poster on a forum where we discuss fitbit devices said, it has that “Apple” quality feel to it.

It no longer feels like a cheap rubber tracker. The ability to swap to leather, metal, or other colored bands means you can wear this unit for any occasion if style is your thing. It really does look great.

– Monitoring of heart rate using optical sensors has never been a problem for me, and this one seems to be no different. Obviously some folks have trouble with them due to body hair and whatnot, but the sensors on Charge HR, Blaze, and now Charge 2 seem to be spot on.

An issue I had with the original Charge was it getting “lost” when I hit higher cardio levels. This doesn’t appear to be as much of an issue this time around. That said, this isn’t a medical device, so I expect it to not be 100% all of the time.

Use it as a tool in your overall fitness profile. – The charger itself is a new clip style (looks like a staple remover), and fits over the sides of the tracker. Fits nice and snug and snaps in. It won’t fall out of the charge (actually think that’s impossible given the design).

No more worrying about it not snapping on and falling off or getting it just right. Big improvement. CONS:- vibration is notably weaker than the original Charge. May be an issue for some using it as an alarm if you’re a heavy sleeper.

That said, I wore it very tight to bed last night, and it was able to wake me this morning (something I’ve had problems with on the Blaze from time to time). – text notifications are neat if you’ve never had them.

However I have a Blaze, where you can see the whole message at once. The Charge HR slowly scrolls texts and notifications to you, which can be annoying if you’re used to the Blaze. They serve their purpose well though, and I can’t ding it for this as it’s a step up from the original Charge.

VERDICT:I reviewed it as if I were upgrading from the Charge/HR to this device. It is a no-brainer if you’ve held on to your Charge/HR and not upgraded yet to the Alta or Blaze for whatever reason. I’d rank the Charge 2 ahead of the Alta.

If money is no object, spend the extra $50 to get the Blaze simply due to the color display and easier navigation (not to mention ability to see full texts as they come in). Otherwise, for $150, you’ll be very happy to have move up from other Fitbit products.

The Blaze is their high end product at the moment, but the Charge 2 is a very close second. I’ll happily answer questions as I did for when I originally reviewed the Blaze out of the gate, and edit this review to reflect common questions or any issues I face as I put the device through its paces in the coming days.

I got my Fitbit charge 2 in 2018 and I wear it pretty much every single day. I absolutely love it. I find I don’t use all of the features but it’s super handy when tracking workouts and I like checking out my sleep habits.

One thing that I will caution is that the brand that come with it are awful. They will break in 3 months. Personally I’ve been buying cheap after market bands off Amazon for years and they last much longer and because they are so cheap I can buy multiple for a good price.

I will also warn that I’ve had a great experience with mine for years (minus the straps) but many people I know who had the charge 2 and 3 it just randomly died on them after a year and that was it.

So seems that there are a lot of lemons. I just happened to get lucky I suppose.

I love my charge 2! I have been wearing it for 3 years now and it’s still running. Although the battery life has reduced quite a bit and now required me to charge every 2-3 days depending on how often I use it during my run.

The only issue I have with fitvit is that the original band is really terrible. I’ve replaced it twice under warranty. Finally, I had to buy one off of Amazon and its been the same band I’ve worn for 2 years now.

It’s a good size for those who doesn’t want a full smart watch and bulky. I like that it tracks my sleep pattern too. I would say it’s fairly accurate for when I go on my run and tracking distance and time.

Overall, I haven’t had any other issues with the fitbit itself.

I first would like to say that I loved the variety of colors that were provided by the company. But with that being said, I do have to make a complaint because the first day I wore the white band it started to turn colors midway through the day.

I even tried to wash the band when I got home thinking that maybe it had gotten dirty, but that wasn’t the case. On top of that, this is a day that my activity level was low to non-existent so they’re really shouldn’t have been a reason for it to have gotten dirty in the first place.

I’m now led to believe that the discoloration is a result of the quality of the band, rather than the environment it was in. I will say that I have not noticed this issue with any other color band that I have worn from this shipment.

This is the fourth day I’ve had the product, and I have used a different color band each day. I would love to give the product a review of “five stars”, but because of this issue I have to give it a “three”.

I love these Fitbit 2 replacement bands there just like the original design ,and the fit feels great you cant beat the price 10 bands fits S-L for $20. 00 your get 2 of every color thank you Walmart.

This band is really cute for those who want pink that is not bright. The band is made of good quality. I have wore it everyday all day since I received it and its holding up very well.

Can’t beat the price. I already purchased 2 individual bands of different colors a month before. I’ve only used 1 of the 6 colors in the pack, but so far so good. I did not give 5 stars because, based on the website photo, for the 6-pack I thought I would be receiving these colors lined up together in the picture: aqua, orange, brown, navy, pink, and grey.

Instead, I received other colors: aqua, pink, grey, AND black, white and purple.

I ordered these bands for my Fitbit Charge 2 after the original clasp had broken. The new bands came in today. I love them! I am very pleased with the overall quality and craftsmanship of this product.

Colors are true to picture except the grey band is a little darker than pictured. I can’t wait to color coordinate my Fitbit with my outfits. beats just wearing a black band all the time!.

This band is great – love that it’s the “watch band” type – so it’s SECURE on your wrist. Less chance of losing it AND I appreciate the fact is has the “snap down” ring that keeps the flap down – no hassles — no worries.

CHANGING⌚️BANDS: These bands have the same “pins” some watches do & you change them the same way. On one end the Pin has a small ball and the other end has a straight pin end. You ONLY SEE the Pin end w/the small ball.

The other straight end you don’t see at all when the band is on. TAKE the Blaze Tracker Off – that way you’re ONLY working with the band & tracker holder. (If you’re right handed) >With the under band facing you AND the Pin w/the Ball showing (using both hands) put your Left Pointer Finger right underneath Band where the Pin w/Ball is — with your Right Thumb Nail – push the Ball DOWN — as soon as you feel it slide down – USE Left finger to Push the Band out! PUT IN BAND: Slip the Straight End FIRST into its groove & Holding the Ball End down at the same time – THEN Slip Ball End into its slot.

Might hear a Click – you’ll feel it go in — make sure the Ball End is IN secure. Done! It won’t come off IF it’s on there RIGHT! If you sweat – wash the Band & your wrist w/Antibacterial Soap or at least wipe it dry until u can properly clean it.

You can buy Leather Bands – I use the Leather ones ONLY when dressing for business meetings – they can get smelly & groudy when used all the time. I wear my different color SILICONE bands ALL the time – easier & changing colors makes it great! Love my BLAZE.

I also have the Alta HR & Flex 2 – Flex 2 is Waterproof for swimming, etc. Having a Fitbit keeps me motivated & accountable! Love mine!.

I can’t lie, I did not do enough research on the Fitbit before buying. I was having an insomnia moment (way too early in the day) flipping through channels on TV and it caught my eye. I let the day pass, did what I had to do and by evening time, I was back flipping thru channels and there it was.

again. I took it as a sign and purchased it. Since buying this Fitbit from QVC, I have yet to see this design cheaper. The product itself has REALLY made me more accountable to what I am eating, water intake, sleep and how much exercise I still need to do to reach my weight loss goals.

I get compliments on my watch because of the purple band ALL THE TIME. I wish I could get another color (besides black which I bought as well). GREAT PURCHASE!!!.

Pros: I thought at first that the Fitbit wristband (purchased the pink leather wristband) was very expensive. But, when I put it on (very easy to fit) I was so impressed. It’s elegant, classy looking and I’ve had such a lot of compliments since wearing it.

It’s transformed an ordinary looking step tracker into a high class looking watch/tracker. It looks expensive and it now looks like the Fitbit brand should. Well worth the money. Cons: I love everything about this wristband and wouldn’t hesitate to replace it again if and when necessary.

Ive had to have my fit bit band replaced once already and because of it being fitted to the snap had to replace it again for my watch kept on falling off my wrist. I saw this deal with three bands in three different colors and it intrigued me.

I was on sure about this purchase because it wasnt an actual fit bit wristband But when I received it the quality looks great and when I clipped it to my Fitbit clip done better than the actual fit bit wristband! So glad I made this purchase and it came very quickly to my house.

First, I thought the bands were made of fabric. Second my fit bit charge 2 is a special edition with rose gold accents the bands have silver buckles which I did not read or see in the ad. If it wasnt so much trouble I would send them back.

The color selection is great but they need to be offered with the rose gold option and as I said it be great if fit bit would make leather and/or fabric bands. Plastic just does not cut it.

The bands were here 3 days early. Also fits perfect I love it will always come back!! Or I will always recommend

Great band, especially for the price! Easy to get on/off the Fitbit Charge 2. Looks great on, very stylish & definitely dresses up the Fitbit! Each color is true to picture & good quality. Very comfortable on, never pinches or snags.

Magnetic closure is very strong & secure. Love this product & recommend it!.

It works really well. My only complaints are: 1) The magnet will catch anything a normal magnet would attract; 2) It slowly loosens over the course of the day. That’s it! I’d buy it again and recommend it to anyone who doesnt regularly hold their wrist near things like refrigerators and washing machines.

After a couple years original band that came with my fitbit started coming detached on it’s own. I ordered this one not expecting much, just hoping it would at least stay connected to the watch. Well to my surprise not only does it connect securely it is easier to buckle and unbuckle than the original one.

It is made of a slightly different material but is extremely close to being the same as the original. One further note as to size, large or small. I purchased the large band and it seems to be able to adjust a to a tad smaller size the the original did.

My wrist measures 7 1/4″ and with this band, when on comfortably it still has 4 unused notches in the smaller direction and 7 unused notches in the larger direction.

Ordered this as a replacement for a Fitbit Charge HR. It looks exactly the same, clipped in easily and fit perfectly. Looks and feels exactly like the original. it was a good price and arrived REALLY quickly (although the delivery estimate was WAAAY off).

Happy with the purchase.

These bands are perfect, the right size. I ordered a 3 pack once and had no way of picking the size band i needed, so i got them. Big mistake, they sent large. Did not last long as i had to make holes to make them fit.

These were not POY bands. The POY bands had the sizes to pick from and being a 6 pack, i have six different colers to change out as i want too. They fasten good to the fitbit, the others i got would not stay fastened after a short while.

Can’t tell you how many times my Fit Bit Charge 2 band has broke. Why bother to buy the name brand if it is just as cheaply made as the knock-offs. Fit Bit won’t get any more of my money. Buy the knock off and save yourself money! Even the fitbit rep I chatted with told me there was some flaws in the design.

Also, even though it states a 1 year warranty, that doesn’t mean anything unless you bought your DEVICE within 1 year. They will not make it right.

I couldn’t believe I found the black Fitbit Classic band for the Charge 2 at this price! Fitbit only had it available in blue and it was $29. 95 on their website. It is a true Fitbit band, not a knockoff.

Even with the shipping cost, I was glad to find it at this price. I wear my Fitbit 24/7 so I know what to expect from the original band from a quality standpoint.

As good as the Fitbit Charge watches are, they have always had bands that never even last a full year basedon my experience (I’ve had both the Charge 1 and the Charge 2 for several years now). My Charge 2 is under 2 years old and the 2nd band on it is already starting to fall apart.

That is why I bought a 3rd one from Walmart for about $10. 00 (discounted from $30. 00). I would never pay the full price of $30. 00 for this band knowing that it will not last a full year.

I loved mine when it would work. But they would just stop working after 6 months. The company was good about replacing them as long as they were under warranty…but I got tired of replacing them. When me and my husband would go on walks together, we would do the same distance…but he always got more steps then me and more distance? Which I never understood.

Even when we play with the stride length in the setting and set it at the same on our Fitbit. It was very frustrating. I wouldn’t get another one.

The grey color goes well with various outfits. wristband is comfortable and adjusts easily. Only one size is offered and I have a small wrist; even with it on the tightest slot, it fits firmly and the strap holder keeps the strap nicely in place.

A great price and the quality is very good.

I love this Fitbit. I really wanted an Apple Watch, but not for the price. Instead, I bought a used Fitbit. I think that they are well worth the money. However, this particular model has a few downsides (and I’m sure it’s no different from other models at times.

) My biggest complaint is that they don’t make replacement glass for the screen. You crack it after the warranty, you’re expected to buy a whole new watch. Although, it is quite difficult to break the glass, I managed to do it.

Another thing: accessories are beyond expensive and it’s hard to find knockoffs compared to Apple Watch. Finally, this model is not waterproof like the newer FitBits are.

I was very pleased to find such a good deal on THREE bands for the pricing of usually ONE band. I thought when ordering that they probably would be cheap imitations, but I was very pleased upon receiving them that they were first quality bands.

I have been using mine for a few weeks now, and there has been no issues and they are very comfortable to wear. I would suggest these bands to anyone that is looking for quality at a great price. You have all three colors with this purchase instead of just one with the original package.

These bands looked great when I got them. After about the first month, I looked down and noticed my watch in my lap. The band had cracked and fallen off. At least it fell in my lap. It would have been a $150 loss if it had fallen off somewhere else and I couldn’t find the watch.

Guess this is a good example of you get what you pay for. Be smart and order the real deal so you are not replacing the watch instead of just the band.

The colors are great! The material is durable and it fit just right on my fit bit watch 2. The Watch originally is mine. My husband has had insomnia lately and instead of purchasing an entire new watch I figured I would just order the Large band.

The bands look and feel great on my wrist. One appeared to be stuck on my charge 2. After working with it for several minutes, it finally came off.

Love the pretty soft pink color and the price was EXCELLENT! I needed to replace the one that originally came with the FITBIT as it would unattach itself from the “watch” part and I lost it twice- not a good thing when i only use it to see my active steps and these watches are not “cheap”.

They run larger than the bands made by Fitbit. I wear the Small size band and this one is almost too big – it’s on the last notch. Also rubber-like band material isn’t as soft as Fitbit original band.

But this is still a good replacement band for the Fitbit Alta.

This band came very fast and its so pretty. I purchased it for my fitbit versa 2, this band is a great fit. It is also very comfortable!!!

Bought this to replace an identical band that would no longer stay attached. This band has ventilation holes that decreases the amount of sweat in hot weather. It is very expensive for what it is.
