Wonderful martingale collar. Has clip to open and put over my shepherd’s big head and even has slide to lock the clasp. The chain portion hangs under his neck and looks like a necklace. The buckle has small ring to attach the ID and Tags which is wonderful as they are not attached in the same place as the lead.

This is a perfect training collar for my shepherd in training for service dog. Having greyhounds for the last 30 years and always using martingale collars for them, I would recommend this collar over all others I have had in the past.

I purchased an additional collar like this in red for my golden retriever. She looks beautiful in it.

I wish I’d read about “turns light-fur grey. ” While I don’t like that, I wonder how high the nickel content is, because he’s scratching and acting not well after wearing it for a few weeks, and I find myself looking up nickel allergies.

I have a 5 year old pit-mix who has an extremely sensitive stomach. We just went through the process of transitioning him to a different food due to his sensitivities. Due to an unreliable supply issue with the Fresh Pet kibble (refrigerated) dog food that I was feeding my two Yorkie mix terriers, I now make my own homemade dog food and they love it. I knew that I needed to be sure that my babies were getting nutrients that might be missing from my chicken, rice and carrot blend I am making at home and I add a dose of this to their meals.

The label on the bottle says 5mg per 1 lb of body weight. In FAQ it says 8-12mg per 1lb of body weight. I researched and 5-10mg/pound seems right. Maybe the 5 mg/lb on the bottle label is for using on daily basis.

It actually says that it’s for temporary relief of pain and inflammation associated with arthritis and joint problems. I needed aspirin for my dog being in pain after she cut her paw. It helped her pain.

The picture of the tablet on the bottle shows you can split it but the tablets don’t have any mark on them for splitting. The tablets are supposed to be chewable but they are very hard. Not a liver treat either.

I had to wrap it in cheese. The bottle is too big for the amount of the pills in it. Wasting material on the package and taking more space in my dog medicine cabinet than necessary. I’m surprised that there aren’t more choices on Chewy site for dogs aspirins.

I would prefer buffered ones and not worry about taking it with food to prevent upset stomach. Sometimes you want to give her a pain relief pill right away, not to complicate the situation with food( example being on a hike).

I give this to my two boy frenchies at night time if needed and also when my older boy Frankie, hurts himself. We have had horrible times with him when he gets hurt by slipping or pulling a muscle etc.

Last time I actually saw him slip on the front steps after running too fast to come in and I knew he hurt himself so I gave him an aspirin before bedtime so that I could hopefully stop the inflammation before it started and it worked! I gave him one for three nights in a row just to be sure.

Our 9 month old pup Jack is a very different kind of a dog. We adopted him at 3 months for a lovely local rescue where they described him as being very sweet but unpuppy like. Our 2 year old mini Labradoodle has had a mysterious paw pad ailment (which we now believe is an autoimmune disorder). He had been on different antibiotics for two months. My Shih Tzu always have solid stool but was scooting for the last 2 years. It turned out her scooting is related to her allergies – itches and irritations on her eyes, neck, paws, and butt. I changed her food to grain free and gave her medicated baths 2X/week.

Vet recommended frequent anal glands expression. It helped the allergies somewhat but not the scooting part. I changed Vet and the new Vet added a monthly Cytopoint injection and Glandex as supplements to her daily Apoquel pills.

She’s been on Glandex for the last 6 weeks. Finally, for the last 10 days, she haven’t scooted. I’m not sure if it’s Glandex or Cytopoint that cured her scooting. Vet recommended I continue her on Glandex since it’s good her gut, comes with beneficial pre/probiotics, omega 3, etc.

Also, my dog likes the peanut butter flavor. So, for those that say Glandex doesn’t work, your dog may have underlying issue like my dog. Check with your Vet.

This spray cured a yeast or bacterial spot that was plaguing my 5 year old indoor/outdoor cat on his belly. It gave him immediate relief, and the spot began to heal nearly instantly. I will say I was diligent and applied as directed for the entire length of time to be sure it wouldn’t come back.

My big gentle boy had stopped eating and he wasn’t drinking much he was sleeping a lot and very lethargic. He was diagnosed with early stage kidney disease 😞 the vet suggested I move him to a kidney diet.

I can tell he’s put the weight back on that he had lost. He’s not drinking from his fountain but he’s not dehydrated due to the moisture in his wet food. ( he used to predominantly eat biscuits before ) He’s more or less back to his normal self, he’s eating and playing just liked he used to I have my Louie back The vet said him eating the kidney food is the best scenario but him eating any food is better than none so at the moment after a lot of trial and error and lots of money spent on vet bills and different foods I think we have a good routine as long as he keeps slurping the drops.

My 18 month male cat came home very poorly and developed a very nasty cough, the vet diagnosed asthma so gave him a steroid injection and said when they neutered him they would cray him. So I searched the Internet for something that would help him, the first couple of doses I did put in a small amount of food but I then tried it on a spoon and he lapped it up like a good boy.

He did seem to improve and thought he would be well enough to get neutered and get the xray I believed he needed and here it gets really really bad, he went down hill very very quickly although he would still take lung gold off of a spoon, I became really worried and spent hours trying to find a vet to see him as it was out of hours.

He finally got to a vet and was rushed away and put into an incubator and had a mask with oxygen being pumped into him. At 3. 33am the vet rang to tell me had to be revived they managed to get an xray only to discover he did not have asthma at all but his diaphragm was severely damaged and he was sadly put to sleep a few minutes later.

My poor boy had been hit by something which had destroyed his diaphragm so badly that he would not have survived the surgery, his diaphragm was so badly damaged that everything the diaphragm holds in place had moved up and he would have died during surgery.

I apologise for such a long review but I wanted to let people know just how good this product is, it definitely helped my precious boy by reducing his cough and improved his breathing. Please if your precious baby comes home noticeably unwell and develops a cough please insist on an xray just to be safe.

Pushing almost $10K with vet trying to help my male rescue kitty. He’s on valium to help with anxiety and frequent attempts at urination with nothing coming out, problem, has been blocked twice with one being a PU surgery ($$$$), treated for UTI’s (regular use of antibiotics that were probably not always necessary, and so on.

I am a pet sitter and have had a number of cats myself that suffered with chronic UT infections. I also had a couple of my clients with cats that also suffered with it. I don’t know how I came upon this but I used it and then recommended it to 2 of my clients who was taking their poor cats to the vet about every 4-6 months with a UTI.

Besides spending hundreds of dollars each time, their cats would also be in awful pain. Since they started using it, it was over a year without having any issues. I do believe that one of the issues was a result of her trying to ween her cat off of it all together.

Now he is back on a maintenance dose once daily for 5 days and off 2 day every week and has had no issues since. I also like that you can call the number on the bottle and actually speak with a very knowledgeable person.

We took our cat to the vet after he woke me up in the early morning howling in pain trying to urinate in the litter box. We discovered he had a UTI and his bladder was very inflamed and full of struvite stones.

After a round of antibiotics and other meds to relax his urethra and dissolve the stones, along with new prescription diet food, I started researching other ongoing preventative maintenance options. I ran across Tinkle Tonic in an online forum and was shocked at all of the glowing reviews of how it had been a miracle worker for their pet’s issues.

After having our rescued Coonhound for a year and talking with our vet we decided that she needed something for her ever-growing anxiety issues. She had reached a point where she would do her “sad Coonhound call” for over an hour when we left for work, resulting in a neighbor calling animal control on her! Everything was scary, if the house made a “wrong” noise she would start shaking with fear.

You could always see the whites of her eyes and she would compulsively lick her belly raw to soothe herself. We tried training and making her world as ordered and comfy as possible, thinking that it was a phase from her difficult past.

When the opportunity to try these treats as a free sample arose, I jumped at the opportunity! We received our package the other evening with the Zesty Paws Calming Treats and gave her one with dinner, then another in the morning with breakfast – she only called for us for about 15 minutes that morning (we have cameras to watch them).

When we got home, she had not touched her belly that day, her eyes were calm and her body relaxed. This morning (day two) she only called us for 5 minutes, before calming down, patrolling the house, then laying down with her overly calm brother (no need for supplements with him) for a nap! Definitely recommend trying this before any heavy drugs that may make your pup drowsy, or feel drugged. These treats smell so good as well, I’m tempted to taste one!.

We got our newest pup in the midst of COVID while everything was closed, so we did not get to socialize her nearly as much as we wanted to/should have during her socialization period. Likely because of that, she became scared of every little thing outside of our house, reactive to everything that moved or made noise, would tremble, pant and refuse to even sit during car rides, and was impossible to take for a walk due to her behavior even with months of loose leash R+ only training.

We tried a couple other brands of calm treats as well as CBD oil, which helped a bit, but not like these do. She is 37lbs and I have been giving her 2 a day (1 with breakfast and 1 with dinner) every day for the last month and her attitude and behavior has improved tremendously! This stuff does not knock her out at all, but does make her appear about 200% more carefree.

She listens and offers her attention during walks now and can manage to stay pretty calm when we pass other dogs (unless they lunge/bark first, but even her reaction to that is becoming much more manageable with continued training).

She can lay in the backyard and watch people pass without going nuts. She can even remain quiet but alert when my other dog can’t stop barking at the doorbell. She now lets me pick her up without flailing around and happily licks my face when I hold her instead of stiffening up and staring in any other direction than at me.

She is still not a fan of the car, but she will at least lay down or pop her head out the window and enjoy the smells now. She’s just a whole new pup and I am so grateful to these treats for enabling her to learn to enjoy life instead of fearing it.

He’s still super active, running and jumping to catch a frisbee just like he did when he was a young guy. Well, actually, not quite ‘just like’. These days he limps a little after a good frisbee session, and he definitely tires out more.

My dog has always had uncontrollable shedding. like, it looked like a herd of bunnies were murdered in my back yard, tufts flying around into neighbors yards even though I was brushing her 3x a week.

(I’m not exaggerating). Shed-X food supplement oil worked very well but she stopped eating her food when I added it. From looking at the reviews of several products, I think what works is specific to each dog, and it might take more than one approach to get desired results.

This vitamin by itself is amazing. When I add Shed-X shampoo and a moisturizing conditioner, she barely sheds at all. She’s allowed on the good sofa now. All I can say is, I had to do trial and error, and use more than one approach because there is no 1 magic bullet.

Keep the faith, keep trying, and keep in mind you might need to use more than one product.

I bought this for my 8 year old lab mix who wasn’t able to sleep through the night bc of her arthritis. She had also stopped having much of an appetite. I usually feed her blue buffalo senior and went on a trip and couldn’t find it so had to go with a different brand that wasn’t as good.

Little did I know she would get really inflamed, so not doing that again. The white willow bark was suggested to me by a chiropractor for myself and I thought I might try it on my dog. She is feeling much better after taking this for about two weeks.

I noticed that it relieved her pain right away, but it’s taken a couple weeks of suppressing the inflammation to see her fully recovered. She plays with her balls again and is eating again. When you pet her you can tell her body is less tense and she sleeps fully through the night.

I forgot to give it to her one night and she was up and down all night so can confirm- it does make a difference.

I got this for my dog who was experiencing pain. I know the pain was caused by playing with my other dog. I was specifically looking for a product with white willow bark and this product does contain white willow bark plus more helpful ingredients.

I wanted a safe and natural product. After 30 minutes of administering his pain was relieved and after using it twice a day for several days, he was pain free. I will make sure to include this in my dog’s first aid kit.

I am appalled at reviews that expect this medication to work in 6 days? It takes a full 4-6 weeks for this medication to take effect in the dogs system. And it might not be the right dose yet. You need an rx so you should be working with a vet who should advise you of this, and you are your pets advocate so do your own research.

Also, does anyone think it might be helpful to leave your dogs weight and dose when reviewing? I find that helpful as I’m trying to compare what worked for others in a similar situation. We are adopted a jack Russell beagle mix from a shelter that had only been at the shelter for two weeks and was found as a stray so we know no history on her.

We do not know if her anxieties developed from us not doing the proper things when we brought home a rescue dog, leaving her alone too soon, leaving her during rain, creating her. She clawed and chewed our door frame a few days later, and she obviously has isolation anxiety.

Any human can be present but she cannot be alone. We worked with a behaviorist, an in home trainer, and we behavior modification, puzzle toys, automated treat dispensers and many other things to help our pup.

She needs medication to be able to learn. So far we have started at a low dose of clomicalm and been increasing by 5mg doses every 4weeks. It has been slow, months, but we think 40mg might be the dose for our 28lb beagle mix.

She is starting to be more sleepy and calm, not as reactive to leaving cues, and able to be left for 30min with a treat toy as a distraction. We have tried prozac prior to this but when her success in training was broken by a family member picking her up hours after we left her, she was pushed to panic and we could not get her back to where she was so we think the prozac was not effective.

We have hope for this medication. My main point is this takes time to work, and when you leave a review, think about why you are leaving it and elaborate so it’s actually useful. Not it worked, it didn’t work.

That doesn’t tell anyone the situation, dose, weight of animal, condition using it for. Those actually trying to help our pets and gain normalcy in our life are seeking information to draw conclusions, to ask our vet questions etc.

We were advised to start these tablets for our Lab/Border Collie Cross who has exhibited anxiety and separation anxiety that’s either genetic or due to the pandemic. We got her as a puppy and worked from home without human contact so, she gets nervous and feels like she needs to protect us when people approach us.

We are also working with a dog trainer to help us, help her. Apparently the drugs take a few weeks to kick in a lower their anxiety but, we are about two weeks in and see a mild difference in her. We hope this helps her and will keep the anxiety down until we cease use of the drug.

First of all let me state my vet prescribed half a pill a day for my neutered male senior eight year old cat. He’s been on the medication almost six months now. He began showing anxiety and spraying all over the house whenever he saw a cat in the back yard.

I have used Feliway plug ins, and other calming aids but nothing was working. I clean the litter box two to four times a day. I even use fox urine in the yard to deter cats, raccoons and other animals from coming into my yard.

He wasn’t sleeping, and kept meowing and yowling, The vet said to allow thirty days for the drug to get into his system, but it worked from the very first dose. No spraying, no meowing, no pacing or running from window to window, not going into the litter box every fifteen minutes to urinate a small bit or dig around.

No excessive grooming. I send a written report to my vet every month with updates. He sleeps the normal fourteen or so hours a day, birds in the yard don’t agitate him as much. The only negative side effect I’ve encountered is he seems to have some elimination issues.

Every other month I’ve found a couple pieces of feces in the house. Once near the litter box, in the living room, and in the kitchen where he sits to eat. I think he might be dribbling a little urine as he licks himself a bit more.

He’s not meowing or stressed and otherwise goes into the litter box normally. It’s a lot easier to clean up a couple pieces of feces than cat urine spray.

This was prescribed by my vet and after a month and a half, so far so good. I have a 13yr old Aussie female and other than feeling a little pookie on the medication days, she is bouncy as ever. She was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma in the throat and the cancer was making its way down her throat.

Palladia has stalled the growth as far as we can tell. X-rays next month with be more telling. Read the book ‘HEAL’ by Arlene Weintraub, to learn about the drug and its path from canine cancer treatment to use in humans.

This is a great product. My dog had been diagnosed with a cancerous mass on her right leg, it got so bad to the point that she couldn’t walk. After a month of using this product, the mass disappeared completely.

** Although this is a great product, it is very strong on the pet’s stomach. Please be sure to talk to your vet so you can get digestive support for your pet, otherwise, Palladia can give your pet strong diarrhea and/or vomiting.

Also, please be aware this product will make your pet lose weight.

This is the second round of chemo that my dog is going thru. He was previously on another drug, Kinavet, that worked really well, but that company lost it’s approval. My dog was really starting to show side effects toward the end of treatment – and he went into remission.

thankfully. Several weeks ago, we discovered the cancer was back and our new onocology vet recommended trying Palladia since Kinavet was no longer available. He recommended a much lower dose because apparently, it has been discovered that you get good results and fewer side effects with the lower dose than what is on the packaging.

We tried this for our 13lb papillon who has fear aggression so grooming nails is impossible. He was prescribed 5mg then another 2. 5 mg after 20 mins if still needed. (They were 10mg tablets, 1/2 tab then 1/4 tablet).

He got very drowsy and it seemed it would be a breeze. Instead, as soon as we had hold of a foot and placed the nail trimmer on a nail he jarred awake and became an attack dog, biting, snapping, snarling and chasing us off the couch and across the room.

He was in full-on attack mode, albeit a bit clumsily. It was terrifying and completely unexpected. I have since learned that fearful dogs can have an adrenaline rush, causing breakthrough aggression, making this drug virtually worthless.

Beware the wolf in sheep’s clothing! Your dog can appear out of it but suddenly be your worst violent nightmare. Unreliable sedative – I do not recommend it.

We rescued a 3 yr old yorkie/corgi mix about a year ago. He’d been in the wild for what they guessed was “over a year” according to the shelter. He’s transformed into an incredible dog around our house, receives, and gives, lots of love.

But outside our home, around strangers, or specifically car rides, Katy bar the door. The poor little guy is the most terrified animal, or person, I’ve ever witnessed. He starts hyperventilating, trembling, and just totally loses control of his faculties.

He’s thrown up in the car on 10 minute rides. We’ve tried thunder shirts, homeopathic medicine’s, and behavior training. The ONLY medication we found that helps for long car rides is ace promazine. While he was still nervous on the three hour car ride, he roamed from front to back and looked out the windows (a first, instead of hiding under the backseat per usual).

He did not throw up or have diarrhea, arriving perfectly awake and much calmer. He was groggy the next day, but a good nap cured that. I would highly recommend ace promazine.

My (very large) Old English Sheepdog does not like his muzzle or feet touched – at all. Grooming him was becoming a serious problem. His groomer suggested acepromazine. And, after speaking to his vet, I agreed to give it a try.

It help a lot. I give him one tablet 45 minutes before he arrives at the groomer’s, then she gives him another immediately before she grooms him. He can still snarl and growl a little, but is usually calm enough to be fully clipped.

It takes about 4 hours to wear off, and sometimes he is too groggy to jump into the back of my truck – it can be tricky lifting him (at 125 lbs!) in, but it’s worth it. Recommended.
