My adult son (who cannot drink) has been into the YouTube channel How to Drink and has been experimenting with bar recipes. We bought a bunch of bitters and mixers so he can experiment and he has made us a few amazingly delicious Tom Collins from this mix.

Many mixers taste artificial and this mixer has a fresh complex herbal flavor with some wonderful floral aroma. It makes a great nonalcoholic drink as well!.

Friends sent us a gift card to MOUTH. We are enjoying our selection immensely. I highly recommend checking it out for yourself or foodie friend. We chose the following: Charred Grapefruit Tonic, was really a fun cocktail ingredient during a ZOOM girlfriend party.

Mole Poblano Sauce, still enjoying. Matzo Ball Soup Kit was easy and taste home made. Ivory Barbecue Sauce, interesting and tasty. Barbecue Sauce, looking forward to trying. Hot Fudge Sauce was over the mood.

I usually don’t like mixers because they are too sugary. I’m also a big fan of Whiskey Sours, especially made by seasoned bartenders. This was given to me as a gift and I’m so glad because I never would’ve tried it.

I’ve repurchased it about 4 times already and will continue. It’s so much easier than making the mix yourself and I love the smokey flavor. I also add an egg white to the shaker for a bit of light foam and a Luxardo Cherry to be fancy.

Don’t sleep on this mix. I want to venture out and try other flavors from this brand but this one is so good I haven’t branched out yet!.

Gave as an Xmas gift, flipped through and there is a mix of classics and combinations that I definitely hadn’t thought of! Good quality, would recommend!

My favorite from the collection. Been purchasing these for 5 years now, for travel, gifts etc. most recently did it for our kiddos 1st bday party as a favor for the adults!

The operator needs more training. The mixer runs fast. It was a little too fast for mixing Tamiya acrylic in the small bottles. Please make sure the business end is in the paint when you turn it on and then turn it off before taking it out of the paint.

I’m sure it will better for me in a larger container. It works as advertised.

This time I got one that worked properly straight out of the box. Obviously it’s a cheap piece of kit isn’t going to last forever, and will need a but of manual help when trying to stir matt enamels that haven’t been used for a while.

(They were designed to mix cocktails not gloopy paint sediment. ) My experience is that they give up the ghost after a while and you just have to buy a new one. I do a lot of paint mixing which in turn means a lot of stirring.

I’ve not found anything better and some of my attempts at a home-made tool have spread the paint round the workbench rather than mixrd it up nicely.

Takes two AA batteries which are not included. But works like how you would expect. You can kind of control the speed by squeezing with your fingers. A very convenient tool to have.

So the first time we tasted this was at a restaurant on Kensington Lane in London. My Girlfriend and I are Gin and Tonic lovers, so we’ve tasted quite a few different iterations of the classic mix. Our goto for drinkablilty is Tangueray and Schwepps, just a bit of sweet and a bit of dry and very enjoyable on a hot So Cal summer day.

So while in London we made Byrons our base of operations, both for it’s good food and extended hours. There is nothing better than a good burger at 10pm after spending the day touring castles and slogging around on the double-deckers.

We ordered T&Ts and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Tonic they used. Net/net they used Fever Tree Indian Tonic Water. That was spring 2018, and we’ve been using only this brand since.

In Fact, she likes it so much she drinks it straight when she’s in the mood.

For those of you traumatised by the demise of Waitrose’s own tonic water that was perfectly palatable and SIX TIMES cheaper, this is an acceptable alternative, that in all fairness, does taste nicer than the Waitrose own brand.

We have also tried the Fentiman’s & London Essence’s tonics. The latter is bitter, fueled by its strong flavour of juniper. My wife and I ranked Fentiman’s as the best, (slightly cheaper too), then London Essence then Fever Tree.

We both like a ‘bitter’ tonic.

Name is pretty accurate description of this sparkling, lower-calorie drink with quinine. Cucumber aroma; sweetness from fructose balanced by some sourness from lemon — and a little bitterness from quinine.

Good price for great tonic drink. (As an aside — maybe other folks already know what I realized just recently — this tonic water is packaged like beer in glass bottles. Need the help of a bottle opener — though I hear that some folks make do without.

Splendid. Holds 8 oz so mix up two. The last sip will be as cold as the first. These things are brilliant. Wish they would let me be a dealer. They are hung up on brick and mortar places. Not much if that in our part of St Thomas.

While everyone’s tastes are different, I’ve drunk more than my fair share of gin over the years and this is my personal favourite. It doesn’t hurt that it’s a beautiful bottle (makes a great water carafe once emptied and with the label removed), but the contents and the background are the important bit – local botanicals, made by a B Corp who care about quality and about the environment around them.

It tastes fantastic, quite grownup with no sparkles or sugar or other nonsense. Great in a G&T, great in a martini, great in a red snapper. A really excellent gin.

Love this Gin! I am a Martini man and this is the best gin for a Martini. It is produced by a Scotch Distillery in Islay, Scotland – which has nothing to do with how great a gin it is – other than to validate this is a first class gin.

(I am a scotch guy as well – although more Highland than Islay) The Juniper and 21 other botanicals come together to produce a very clean, crisp gin – the perfect Martini Gin. It is a premium gin – although not overpriced for the quality.

I did a taste test the other day of 5 gins. I made gimlets with each and went back and forth between them noting the differences and how much I enjoyed each. Hands down, Martin Miller’s destroyed. It was so much better then all 4 competitors, I was tempted to dump out the others and make myself another.

Of course, I’m not one to waste gin, but the thought crossed my mind. It’s that good! And, I’ll say, I’m my mind there’s no better value.

I met a bartender near Maidshead UK named Jamie who poured us some chilled straight shots of this on the house. He told us how he worked in the distillery when he was younger and the amount of work that went into it.

It became my favorite Gin, and Ill never forget Jamie’s hospitality.

A six-to-one ratio usually: 3oz. Martin Miller’s to 1/2oz. Noilly Pratt STIRRED not shaken add one rinsed and patted dry olive. This recipe will produce the most savory martini you will ever experience.

I was really excited to try a non-alcoholic gin and chose Simpsmith as there gin is really good. However, this is horrid, there is no hint of botanicals or anything resembling a nice flavour. The after taste is like when you eat something that’s mouldy.

The whole family tried it and nobody liked it, I Certainly won’t be buying this again. Complete waste of money.

Sipsmith Free Glider Gin. Starting off with an aroma check the juniper berries come through which excites the taste buds. Depending how you like to mix your gin, will impact the flavour, Tonic which is a strong contender as the best accompaniment, works great with bitter lemon, ginger ale, orange juice sweetens the drink a little too much.

As with many white based drinks crushed ice or cubes compliments the drink without question.

I love this gin it’s a bit pricey but when it’s on offer it’s well worth purchasing, it has a proper zesty flavour and myself I’m not a lover of flavoured spirits but I really like this one. I would also like to add that the calorie count (for all you dieters) is a lot less than the normal “T” gin which is another of my favourites.

Buy and try with a slice of lemon and a good tonic, I hope you won’t be disappointed!!.

I have purchased this 3 different times as I keep coming back to it. I’m a whiskey drinker 80% of the time but absolutely love this gin. It’s a super unique flavor that you can drink on the rocks. It has a slight sweetness with a well-balanced floral packed into a light bodied oak undertone that rounds it out.

It’s a must have highly recommended buy now type of bottle. I have made cocktails with it but I feel guilty when doing so.

One of my favorite gins. This Barr Hill gin is barrel aged and has a touch of honey. I have tried many gins over the years: this is one of my favorites. Honey and barrel aging gives this gin a unique, complex nuance that I love.

Makes a great gin and tonic.

This tom cat gin is absolutely amazing and it’s aged so well. It’s smooth, creamy and tastes like whisky. Honey and caramel notes in the beginning and finishes with a smokey (some say pepper) flavor.

I drink a gin martini (gin on the rocks) nightly for many years. My usual gin is Bombay or Tanqueray. On occasion Hendricks or Raj. I’ve tried boutique, French, and other gins. Not my liking. A friend told me about Sipsmith.

I was apprehensive. This is very good gin. Very smooth. Good taste. No Bruning. No heavy after notes. I was surprised at how good it is. I’ll buy it again if it is available. Tough to find.

I used to think all gins were pretty similar until I tried this Sipsmith London Dry Gin. It is most definitely superior! Open the bottle to release a fabulous aromatic fragrance. Then the gin itself has a delicious balance of citrus freshness and fruity botanicals which offers a really smooth taste.

The well-presented bottle with a waxed cork top and attractive label complete this premium experience. I love it with a dash of tonic on ice for a superbly refreshing drink.

Love both Tanqueray’s flavoured gins: this and Sevilla. Delighted to see Waitrose selling this at last. I prefer to drink these as shorts with just ice. Rangpur is a lime-like citrus fruit and is a perfect match with gin.

After years of maturing my palette and countless efforts to find a perfect cocktail, I seem to always mention “Tanqueray #10 and tonic with a lime” to be one of my favorites. Tanqueray 10 Gin lacks the harsh alcohol taste and bitter bite of less expensive gins.

Although the other Tanqueray products are great, the Tanqueray #10 is by far well above all others. I believe this Gin is as smooth as any spirit I have had in the past and the smell of Juniper and Lime makes it uniquely crisp and refreshing, a very light taste and feel that doesn’t fill you up.

After several years of enjoying this Gin I can say that there are times when a Gin and Tonic satisfies my curiosity for the perfect cocktail. On a lighter note, there is a substantial difference in taste and price for each of the Tanqueray products, a text book example of “You get what you pay for”.

So, YES, I believe, the extra money is surely worth the difference to me. I absolutely agree with the 96 rating. IMHO, this Gin is in a category of its own. I think of Gin in 2 categories, Gin & Tanqueray.

Many gins do just fine in different cocktails, but some gins are so good in specific situations, they become the choice par excellence—and I’ve simply never had a better Martini than a Tanqueray No. 10 Martini.

In a GT, it’s a bit of a muddle, and an Aviation demands something more juniper-forward in my opinion. But pair the Tanqueray No. 10 with a good vermouth and the complexity outshines everything else.

I now keep it on hand specifically for those Martini moods.

Tanqueray Ten is my “go to” gin for a dry martini. It’s not often available in restaurants and I’m always slightly disappointed when I have to settle for something lesser…usually regular Tangueray or Bombay Blue Safire, in that order.

If none of those are available, I’ll just have a beer or glass of wine instead.

I’ve historically been a gin philistine, mainly guided by price. But after a Gin tasting experience, I have begun to appreciate the difference in tastes. Beefeater I’ve always seen Beefeater as an outdated option, but after tasting this bottle I am a true convert.

There is a great warm, strong, refreshing juniper taste which cuts through mixers a tonic well with nice citrus tones. If you want to upgrade your gin game, Beefeater is a good choice.

and they weren’t! It’s an okay gin, but for the price, please pick up the Beefeater 24 or the standard Tanqueray! I’ve enjoyed the 24, Bombay, and Tank, but hands down Tank has always been the standard! I wasted $18 on this bottle, and glad to say it will be my last!.

Don’t overlook because it seems less exciting than newer brands, trust the heritage! There’s a reason why this brand has been in operation for so long. it’s perfected the art of producing a beautifully clear crisp gin with lots of juniper.

Plenty of citrus too and simultaneously warming and mellow.

I’m always so surprised to see Gordon’s Gin, one of the most historic and quintessential London Dry Gins, not to mention one of the world’s most popular, available for such an incredibly low price. It was a gin called for by James Bond in the novels, and if it’s good enough for James Bond, it should be good enough for us.

If anyone ever asks for a good low-cost gin, look no further. No need to buy any questionable brands. Just like other quintessential London Drys such as Tanqueray or Beefeater, Gordon’s is juniper-forward with nice supporting flavors, including coriander and citrus.

In many countries, Gordon’s is simply seen as one of the best classic gins, not so much as a value gin, like it is in the USA. But in the USA, we have one of the best classic gins and the best value gin, all in one.

My favorite classic gin is Beefeater, which is still a pretty good value. I like Tanqueray, but I still prefer Beefeater. It’s also nice that Beefeater tends to be a little less expensive than Tanqueray.

But of the three, Gordon’s would actually be my second choice, ahead of Tanqueray. I think the flavor of Gordon’s is at least as good as Tanquray, and the extreme value also can’t be ignored. In the end, both Tanqueray and Gordon’s are produced by Diageo, and you can never go wrong with any of the three brands.

It just seems that Tanqueray has more of an upscale image, at least in the USA, especially compared to Gordon’s. But it’s ultimately the liquid that counts most, first and foremost. In the US, the main benefit of Tanqueray is that it’s bottled at 47.

3% ABV, while Gordon’s is at the standard 40% ABV. The higher alcohol stands up better to dilution in cocktails, but Gordon’s proof is still perfectly fine. In a number of countries, gins and spirits are bottled at 37.

5% ABV, so it could be worse. I think one of the reasons that Gordon’s is an even better value in the USA than Tanqueray or Beefeater is that Gordon’s is actually produced in Canada for the US market, while Beefeater and Tanqueray are imported from the UK.

But it definitely doesn’t seem to affect the quality of Gordon’s at all. Bottom line, whether you’re looking for the best value gin or just a great gin in general, don’t hesitate to pick up a bottle of Gordon’s.

It’s worth way more than it’s price, and you will not be disappointed.

Beefeater has always been my favorite gin for martinis, but a few years ago friend suggested I try Gordon’s. I am really glad I did! It has been my primary at home. I still keep a big jug of Beefeater for special occasions, but I find Gordon’s very close in flavor and great for my regular evening libation.

I have tried many different gins in the same price range as Beefeater, such as Bombay, Tanqueray, etc. , as well as the premiums of those brands and others, but I find most a little too smooth/lacking in flavor.

I prefer Beefeater and Gordon’s because they have what I consider a good classic gin flavor. I have noticed a few reviews that complain about the plastic bottle used for the 1. 75. I am having trouble understanding what difference that makes unless you are more concerned about what guests might think.

Honestly, I prefer plastic for the large size because it is easier to handle. I have a wealthy doctor friend who can afford to drink any gin he wants any time His bar is stocked with a number of better brands of gin, including some ultra-premiums.

Guess what his go-to is for a g&t or martini on the deck in the evening? The big plastic jug of Gordon’s!.

Having traveled extensively in the U. K. , I am accustomed to finding a lovely G & T, gin and tonic available everywhere. And Gordon’s is usually the pour; as a younger chap I enjoyed Tanqueray and that makes perfect sense as Gordon’s distills Tanqueray.

And some years later a barmaid who was perfection introduced me to Hendrick’s. But I am unable to tolerate the higher proofs and Gordon’s is ideal. And poetically? Ogden Nash: There is something about a Martini, A tingle remarkably pleasant; A yellow, a mellow Martini; I wish I had one at present.

Gin and tonic in a can, what a handy thing to have in the fridge when you are feeling really lazy and cannot be bothered to mix your drink. Unfortunately that is the only good thing I can say about this premixed drink.

Bombay sapphire is one of my favourite drinks so I was really looking forward to trying this. Unfortunately for me it had a really awful chemical taste. It tasted more like soda water, which I hate. I would not buy this can but I will still buy the gin!.

1st off I really like Bombay sapphire Gin, sadly this just fell short of the mark for me. it wasn’t too strong, in fact, I could barely taste the gin, it was fizzy as you expect but I am just not sure of the tonic that they have mixed this with, for me, it was really sweet and didn’t have the dry mouth feel you, or the sour tang you would expect from the tonic.

It was almost as if this was a drink you would see in the same lineup in Night Clubs 10 years ago next to the million and one colored flavors’ of fizzy surgery vodka in the back bar fridges. At least back then, you knew what to expect.

Yuck sums it up pretty well. It seems they were more concerned about calorie count than flavor in this concoction. Harsh quinine flavor with some bitter lime maybe. NO hint of any Sapphire botanicals.

An interesting bottle, but who knows what it will taste like. Finally thought I’d try and I REALLY like. Definitely a noticeable lemon nose and I’ve used it in a medium martin (equal parts gin, red vermouth and dry vermouth) and in a classic Negroni (Campari, Carpano Antica Formula Red and Uncle Val’s) SPECTATULAR for my palette.

It seems to brighten both of these cocktails but doesn’t over power. I need to find a simpler dry martini, but in these combinations I really like. I’ll use similar to Barr Hill Tom Cat (that I use in a Martinez or a sweet martini) for specific cocktails.

A keeper in my book.

I’m by no means a gin connoisseur, but this gin makes a mean G&T. Back in my college days, I tried a g&t with some other gin and thought it was awful, horrible, no good, very bad. During quarantine, my dad fixed a G&T with Uncle Val’s Botanical and I was hooked.

The flavor is excellent, and now my whole family hoards this gin to have as hosts or to gift for bdays and other holidays. I’ve only every had this with tonic, so I have no idea how it would be otherwise but I have no desire to find out.

It hits the spot as a post-work day drink or happy hour mix. The worst part is the bottle doesn’t refill itself so I have to consciously ration myself (it’s just so tasty!!).

Hendricks Gin makes a great dry martini with olives. Uncle Val’s makes a fab lemon twist martini. Here is my fave recipe: Shaker with ice, add small amount of a mid-range vermouth(not dry). Shake to coat the ice with vermouth, then drain out the vermouth.

Add 2 oz Uncle Val’s, shake, and pour over a twist into glass. If you’re making 2 or more, maybe don’t drain off the vermouth.

everyone knows Seagrams but I think it’s underappreciated how good it is. DW and I did a blind taste-off of Seagrams vs a bunch of other gins, much more $$. Seagrams tasted the most natural, non-artificial, best meld of flavors.

Many others tasted quite artificial and icky. Highly recommended. Used almost exclusively in dirty, dry martinis.
