20 Best Cheap Bumper Plates (2022 Updated)

Y’all, I live in Alaska. Usually I go through Luxiajun barbell but they don’t ship here. So I was on a long quest to find something that is quality, and not overpriced. I searched through Fringe, Rogue, and many others.

It wasn’t until I stumbled across synergee that beat them all. Synergee is SO good, and welll worth the money. When I opened my 55ib comp bumper plate, I had the biggest smile on my face, the sleek red with the shiny metal inner was a wonderful sight to behold.

I immediately through them on a barbell and I was so impressed by how exact the fit was on the barbell (good thing). They are so nice and most of all DURABLE. Shipping was quick, contact was great, I’m totally ordering the 25ib next.

I picked these up during the sale that they had a few weeks ago. I am not new to lifting(20+ years of powerlifting), but wanted a new challenge. I needed bumpers to practice the Olympic lifts in my home gym.

The quality is great and frankly I love the look of the steel in the middle Vs the traditional bumper. I have used more traditional bumper and much prefer these as the bounce is minimal which cuts down on the sound drastically.

I would recommended these to anyone. Also customer service was top notch. I sent two separate emails with questions and received answer quickly… an hour or two in both cases.

Just received my second set of 15lbs bumper plates and there awesome. What a convenient plate for adding just that right amount of weight to my equipment when 10lbs seems a little on the light side. I just throw on a couple of 15s and I am good to go.

Also the price is great and the delivery is so quick I don’t know how they do it. Very satisfied with the Synergee company.

These plates work really well in my home garage gym that I have assembled. The colors make it easy to distinguish between weights and they are easy to slide on and off the Olympic -sized barbell. Would recommend them for any gym, home or commercial.

I was very pleased with the quality of these bumper plates. I did a fair amount of research prior to ordering my first set of 45lb plates because I wanted it to be a good investment. I love the color (it’s exactly how it looks online), and I will continue buying from Hulk Fit in the future!.

IšverstiShow in original languageExpanding the home gym with the X Training colored bumper plates. Originally got 3 sets of 25 lb bumpers. They work great with my X Training elite bearing bar or my 90s generic bar that came with a metal weight set.

Solid bumpers that work great for legs, Olympic, and other lifts. Adding the 15 lb and 10 lb bumpers were the next stage of expanding the weight combinations. Looking forward to adding 35 lb and 45 lb bumpers in the future.

They arrived quickly. The plates were packaged well. Though they are tough as can be so no worries on shipping. They fit on the barbell sleeves well. Regular lifts, Olympic lifts and even landmine lifts, the weights are working well.

The Olympic lifts include drops; they are low bounce. Upon arrival, I didn’t notice any smell. I wiped down the weights to remove what felt like a film. The film disappeared leaving a good feel when gripping them.

IšverstiShow in original languageVery fast shipping, but 3 of the boxes were pretty beat up and just UPS re-taped. One of the plates has a slight dent, but didn’t seem to affect use at all. The biggest issue I had was just the overall quality and finish of these plates.

I wouldn’t consider these “premium” by any means. The rubber coating looks used right out of the box. The metal is rough and doesn’t look finished/polished at all. I’ve used/owned Rogue, Rep, and even Titan and will say the overall finish is lower standard which was quite disappointing.

The one great thing is there’s no awful rubber/oil smell with these. I was able to use them the day I received them without having to air them out. All the plates were actually within. 3lbs which is pretty amazing.

Not sure I’d get them again, but I am very happy and thankful to able to get these in these tough times when just trying to stay healthy seems to be an obstacle. I just wish the QA on these were held to a higher standard.

I entered my my email address in on the web page for the 260LB weight set a few weeks ago and was just so happy to get a pre-order follow-up email last week! Usually, you never hear back from fitness companies especially during the current Pandemic environment we live in.

As far as the product, this was the first rubber bumper plate set I have ever owned and let me tell you, I’m never going back to anything else! I’ve never been a cross-fit-type lifting guy per se but have just been doing standard incline, flat and decline bench along with squats here and there at the gym for years with standard rubber coated or iron plates.

The Covid-19 Pandemic has shut my gym down twice here in Southern California and hence the need for a decent weight set and just a great home gym in general. I’m super impressed with theses bumpers and they are definitely quieter in all respects than iron, steel, or even rubber coated for that matter.

I understood about bumper plates being quieter on drops but surprisingly, even loading them on the Olympic bar is decently quiet as well! This helps with late night workouts in the garage and great for my neighbors’s ears! I can’t speak to other bumper plates out there and their quality and have heard that the thickness of the 45’s (3.

25″) on the XTE set may limit the amount you can load on the bar overall but for my purposes, they are fantastic. Another reviewer mentioned the initial grease when you unbox the weights for the first time.

I can attest to this as I’m still wiping down the excess on some of the weights. Shipping was just as expected and packaged pretty nicely. I wish the straps on the boxes were just a little tighter for added security for the weights because without them, the heavier weights would definitely fall through the boxes and can get damaged.

The set I received was perfect. I’m really happy with the set for now and I hope they last through the next Pandemic (heaven forbid).

Great weight set! Price point was superior – bought the 190lbs set when it was on sale, which wound up being in the ballpark of about $2/lb which is hard to find. Plus free shipping made it seem like a steal! The weights are great quality and exactly as described.

They did have some slight manufacturing residue so they needed a wipe-down upon opening, but otherwise, perfect product.

I decided to work out more, so I purchased a pink Olympic weight lifting barbell to start getting into shape. I quickly realized that my 15 kg bar alone would not help me achieve my goals, so I started looking for some plates to go with it.

I looked around a bit, and found these! They’re my favorite color, so I finally decided to invest into getting them after thinking on it. They work great, and I’m very happy with them!.

Solid plates. I got pairs of the 45 lbs and 25 lbs bumper plates on sale. They’re the most common ones I’ll need for myself and my wife when we want to lift. Currently will mix in iron plates with the bumper plates as needed but as I get back into shape, I may order some more if they go on sale.

I’ve dropped them a little bit deadlifting but only have foam under me and I am currently more afraid of chewing up my foam. I will be building a lifting platform soon for deadlifts so we can really let loose on these.

Yes, bumper plates are expensive per pound compared to iron plates but the sale did help. I would say you get what you pay for with these. The logo and weight descriptions are all screen printed on the weights.

From the pictures I thought they were grooved and painted. I have a little concern that the numbers will wear off eventually. Other than that, they will hold up for years to come.

Got these for my first home gym set. Will not find much like this at the price point (less than $2/lb in the black color). There are some very minor scuffs on the items however they are the correct weight and fit on my olympic bar.

If you’re worried about your weight plates being completely scuff free, maybe these aren’t right for you. I couldn’t care less – just need them to be work as intended. I looked online for days and this was by far the best price point I could find.

Using these for bench press/squats, not dead lifts so I can’t comment on how they would hold up if they’re dropped on a regular basis. Very happy with purchase for my needs.

I bought the 25lb plates 6 months ago and they have been great for me. I’m not doing much in the way of Olympic or Cross Fit lifts, so they don’t get dropped from much of a height. They’re great for deadlifting though and since they’re taller than my fitness gear cast plates, they work great as bumpers for that lift.

I just recently purchased the 45lb plates since I’ve been so happy with the 25s and I wanted to like them, but I think I’ll be returning. The main issue, for me, is that there’s no easy way to pick them up off of a plate tree rack.

The diameter of the 45lb plates is 3″, and as you can see in the photos, there’s a 2″ thick border around the diameter of the plate. That mean your hand has to span 7″ to get a grip on the plate if you’re pulling it from a floor weight rack.

For me, I just can’t get a good grip with one hand, so I’ve got to always lift it with two hands, which isn’t convenient when I’m moving up and down weights between exercises or lifts. I don’t think this is an uncommon thickness for this type of bumper plate, so I might run into this same issue with any other brand.

The Fitness Gear set that Dick’s sells has a hole for your hand which makes it super easy to just pick up a weight. The 25lb ETHOS plates aren’t as thick, only 1. 75″ with a 1. 75″ border (plus they’re also 20lb lighter) so it’s much easier to just grab a 25lb plate and throw it on the bar or back on the weight tree.

Overall, the bumpers seemed great, and I’ve been really happy with the 25s. I might just get a couple more sets of 25s for the convenience. Plus, since the 25lb plates are almost half as thick as the 45s, I’m not losing much space on the bar.

I bought this a few weeks ago and it’s working out well. Have a pair of the 45’s that have held up several years. Like the size as use them with a trap bar instead of cast iron plates for sizing of the ground.

Much sturdier than the crumb style bumpers, with the cost to go with it, but happier overall.

Dicks and Ethos need to cut ties or ethos needs to evolve. Dicks by featuring Ethos is behind. Ethos has a rack with no accessories! It will not adapt snd the bumper plates are too thick in the 45s (cumbersome at best)- take up too much room on the stack.

I purchased a total of $2500 worth of products from Iron Bull Strength. When the shipment came it was covered in dirty motor oil. The boxes were soaked through to the equipment. I reached out to their support to see what I could be done.

I was expecting some sort of compensation due to the time in cleaning up and disposing the boxes safely. To add to that I then had to wash down all my “new” equipment. Everything’s good was covered in oil.

After going back and forth, I was told that I would get 50% off my order and the shipping fee back. A day later I was told that actually I would not be getting any compensation and only a replacement would provided.

I thought this was ridiculous as I have to literally clean up this company’s mess.

Made of quality rubber with little to no off gassing, these Change Plates (1. 25, 2. 5 and 5 lbs) completes my set of Ironbull coloured plates. They are crucial to my weight training regime and fit the set perfectly.

Colour is but an aesthetic aspect but they do look very good and with practice, it becomes easy to recognize how much weight is installed on the bar just by looking at the colours. Ordering online was easy and the delivery was very quick.

I am very pleased with my purchase.

I bought these during the pandemic as there were no other options. Now that retailers have re stocked I would advise against these plates. The quality is low, and the bounce is high. High quality bumpers deaden the bounce.

For the price these are just, “meh”. Go elsewhere.

These are decent, but not high end bumper plates! Bumper plates in general are not cheap, but if you don’t drop plates they will last a very long time. I have purchased other Cap Barbell products including benches, barbells and I still have able to use them with years of use.

I am getting into Olympic lifting and am starting to build up my bumper plate reserves so I bought this pair. I buy new and used weights all the time and the first thing I look at is the cost per pound.

Additionally with bumpers you have research the bounce. I have a small space so I can’t afford to have an uncontrolled bounce of the barbell. These work. They also comfortably fit my two Olympic bars of different manufacturers.

I’m very satisfied and will purchase more CAP Bumpers.

After researching different prices on standard bumper plates, we came across these and are very happy with the quality and price!! Got them quickly and we are more than happy with our purchase.

This is my second set of these (not due to breakage or deteriorating). I bought them again for a reason, great value for the money! Collars held up, first set of bumpers were originally owned in Phoenix and stood up to the heat while being used/stored in my garage.

No awful rubber smell and the new versions have some texture which helps with gripping during plate changes. My old set stood up to 5 years of abuse before I moved spaces and had to sell them.

Previous products have been great which is why Again Faster was my go to resource. My gym needed new 5 lb bumper plates. The photo showed a full sized bumper plate but what arrived was a smaller diameter weight.

The return shipping was half the price of the purchase, so we are left with weights that don’t fit our intended purpose.

These are fantastic bumpers. If you’re shopping for your first set of bumpers, get these. I was a little worried buying these bumpers. I already have ****** rubber bumpers by OFW (considered by many to be the best value bumper on the market).

However, while ****** rubber bumpers look great, and are wonderful on a platform, I wanted something that could go outside/anywhere and stay looking the same. This is usually the slot filled by Hi-Temps.

But those bounce too much (risk of injury), often vary a good degree in actual weight from stated weight, and have a smaller diameter than standard plates. The Again Faster Crumb Rubbers Bumpers have none of the problems of Hi-Temps and add the very useful feature of the colored flakes.

Mine were all less than 1% from stated weight (many were DEAD ON). They bounce just a little more than ****** rubber plates. You can give them a pounding and they stay looking the same. The only possible downside is that they are wider than ****** rubber bumpers.

Let’s be honest, for many/most people they don’t lift enough for this to even matter. For those of us that do, is that annoying: yes. But, remember that these are the same diameter as normal plates. So, there’s no problem throwing on a metal plate or two or three along with these (read the 35s, 45s, or 55s).

In fact, since they’re wider, they’ll handle that better than other types. [Anecdote: a buddy of mine goes for these first BECAUSE of how wide they are just to get that bro feeling of moving a bar that’s maxed out.

Sometimes it’s the little motivations that we need in our garage gyms. ] If I had the opportunity to start over and buy one type of bumper, I’d buy these. They are the most durable bumpers available, are shockingly accurate in weight, don’t bounce too much, and look cool.

When it comes to dumbbells that are from 5-50lbs these by cap have become my favorite to use. I really like the rubberized coating that is on the ends or the weighted part of the dumbbell. The material gives them a little bounce and makes them less clanky when throwing them around.

It also makes exercises that require you to hold them together easier to do as they don’t slip. The shape is nice because you can roll them out of the way with a foot or they will stay in place use as a push up stand without rolling.

The handle has a nice rounded handle with a knurled finish for grip. The handles are also large enough for bug hands to wrap around.

These dumbbells are really nice. Just like you’d find in a professional gym. It’s great knowing the rubber won’t scratch up my floors too much and the extra grip is nicer than the standard all cast iron dumbbells.

Wish these were more affordable per pound so I could get a full set, but understandable given the quality. I also wish these felt lighter but that’s probably a personal problem ;).

These plates had an oily coating that gave them a scent, but it was simple to wash off and let them air out. The packing was good, and I guess this is typical for bumper plates. If you can find them on sale, the plates’ quality and fit on an Olympic bar are excellent, and I would definitely think about purchasing more in the future.

I recently purchased a Vulcan 260 lb bumper plate set. I’ve been looking for some time to purchase a bumper plate set. Most sets are too expensive, and those that are not have such a high cost for their delivery as to make them unaffordable.

When I came across Vulcan. The free shipping sealed the deal for me. The plates arrived in a timely fashion, and were packaged in 6 separate packages, making it easy to move them from the delivery vehicle, into my basement.

The plates have a bit of an odor, and also a little bit of a “greasy” feel to them, but nothing that was over-powering or made me any less excited about my new bumper plate set. I love the look of the plates.

And, I’ve used them for almost a month now, and have had no issues. I would highly recommend these plates to anyone looking to purchase a set. I know that if I make any additional purchases of bumper plates, I’ll purchase Vulcan bumper plates.

After waiting a couple of months after purchasing the 230 pound set to arrive, was a bit long for free shipping and my account was never updated. When it arrived I was very pleased with everything. My one issue is that my 10LB bumper plate doesn’t seem to fit properly on my barbell.

It gets about a quarter of the way down and it stops. Thinking it might be a problem across the board I tried all the bumper plates, which all fit fine. I don’t understand how one plate wouldn’t fit properly.

All the holes are the same size and all the other plates fit fine, so I know it isn’t the barbell. I am happy with the product, especially the price, until I need to add a ten pound plate, such a headache.

Just a tip, WD40 doesn’t help. I don’t know if they test for fitting before the ship, but maybe the company might want to take this into consideration.

First, these are high quality weights–I got them, wiped them off, and used them the same day. Low bounce, quiet, good for drops, and they are very sturdy. The weight variances are all quite accurate, too.

Vulcan may not get as much mention as Rogue or Fringesport, but they really are offering a superior product at a better price. These bumpers are perfect for any setting from a garage gym to a commercial affiliate or strongman dungeon.

Also, Vulcan helped me out when FedEx lost my first shipment: they took care of everything, and the replacement set was delivered speedily. I will recommend Vulcan to anyone who’s looking to purchase fitness equipment, and I expect I’ll buy from them again in the future.

I found out about Titan Fitness from a parter at work. I almost bought from Rogue, but decided to trust my recommendation. The bumper plates are top quality at a competitive price point. I’m a Cop who works out daily to ensure that I come home after my shift to my family.

The bumpers withstand a lot of abuse and are well constructed. I will continue to purchase from Titan and I highly recommend their products to anyone who is interested in buying a top quality product that will last a lifetime.

I did my research just like anyone would with these bumper plates and debating if I should spend the extra 1000. 00 on other brands. Yes thousands not hundreds for another brand set. You have your bad reviews and good reviews on different websites.

Well I took my chance at these and BAM, they come delivered well packaged. I open them and am shocked at what I see. I see better than what is pictured on the website. Clean look, no grease on them to wipe off like others say, just an awesome product from Titan Fitness.

Now I have been through about three sets of cast iron plates that I have returned because of the quality and the size of the plates. Cast iron I cannot do anymore so I chose to go the bumper plate route and can’t be any more pleased with my purchase.

These I do like, love and show off when I can. The inner ring of the plates fits perfectly on the weight holders and perfect fit for the barbell as well. Overall I would buy again when they come back on stock.

Like all of the bumper plates I have purchased from Titan, these are awesome. Went on back order for a while due to covid but worth the wait. Price wise you can’t beat Titan bumpers especially compared to the gross price hiking that is prevelant in the market place currently.

Arrived well packaged and grease protected, once in stock arrived in a few days. Can’t get better out there far as I’m concerned. Titan is the only company out there il use, bought a fair amount of gear and will continue to for as long as they have stock.

These plates are advertised as “low bounce”, which couldn’t be further from the truth. Crumb rubber plates bounce less than these. Even the 25kg plates bounce almost up to my knees. The first time I dropped the 15kg plates they bounced up to my knees and nearly smacked me in the face.

I wasted $1k on these and regret my purchase. I should have spent the extra $500 for plates from a competitor that I know are truly “low bounce”. Don’t waste your money if you are looking for legit training plates.

My order was shipped incomplete, although very quickly. The freight company wouldn’t deliver to my home, so I had to meet the driver curbside and walk them to my home with a pallet jack, 500m away. The only redeeming aspect of my purchase is that the change plates are good quality, but I had to call to get the missing items that were supposedly delivered.

I am stuck with these plates, but I am considering selling them at a loss just so I can buy plates of better quality and less bounce. I should be able to accomplish that with very little effort.

For some reason the website didn’t allow for a review of the complete 37lb set. I got the set and an additional 2. 5 pair I found I needed during training. First, these plates are great quality and the price is unmatched.

They are not in stock often so grab them if you see them. I had the set on backorder for almost 4 months. Due to how the world is now, I think these sat on a barge for a long time and it caused some of the lubricant to bleed into the white plates so there is some off white stains making the white plates not pure white.

But this is a discoloration that would happen just from a few weeks of throwing a white plate around in your home gym. Get these plates! They are incredible!.

I bought 2 pairs of Titan Fitness 20kg calibrated plates and bought 2 pairs of Rogue 25kg calibrated plates. The packaging on the Titans were far more superior than Rogues. Titan took the time to wrap the plates ina plastic sleave then surround it with a styrofoam wrap.

The box was stapled then shrink wrapped with heavy plastic so the heavy plates in the box does not break up the packaing while in transport. Rogues was loosly wrapped in a styrofoam sleave and stapled in a box.

The box had alot of holes rips and was slightly damaged during shipping. The plates inside was dinged and chipped during transport. Since both Titan and Rogue calibrated plates are + or – 10 grams and made in China, I felt there was really minor quality comparisons.

From looking at both plates there are asthetic blemishes. The paint on the Titan is more vibrant than Rogues. The paint rubs off easily on both Titan and Rogues especially with ribbed barbell sleaves ie Texas powerbar Rogue 1.

2 bar. Any bar with ribbed sleaves will take paint off both plates REMEBER BOTH MADE IN CHINA. Touch up paint if it matters to you. So since no rwal difference other than Brand and looks. The Rogues visually looks better because of the simple font design.

Titan could do better by staying with one style font. Stay with the BOLD BLOCK TITAN instead of adding the italicized or angled FITNESS. “Titan Fitness” should be one font style. Pricing almost same price without shilping, but Rogue charges way too much and Titan offers free shipping.

No brainer. Titan all the way because it wins on every aspect except for font style.

Just ordered and received the 25# and 10# pairs. I also own the 15# pair. I love the way these look and feel, solid and durable. I also own Rogue and Rage brand plates and hands down I prefer these, and the regular Again Faster plates.

The only nitpick I have is that the 25# pair was a bit wider than my other non-crumb 25# plates. Not a major issue but Just something to keep in mind when loading the bar with multiple plates. They also tend to bounce a bit when dropped but I knew that when I bought them from previous experience.

Again – not a major deal but something to consider if you are in tight spaces. Overall – these will continue to be by go-to plates going forward for my garage gym. Will be ordering some 45’s soon. I feel you just cant beat the price/performance point on these.

I was surprised by the fact that these bumper plates have such a good quality. They are a bit thicker than a usual bumper plate and similar in thickness as Hi Temp Bumper plates. They are extremely durable and the rubber is not very hard, which absorbs the impact with the floor much better.

The greatest thing about these plates is the fact that they don’t smell bad at all, in comparison to other brands bumper plates. They are worth every penny. Good job, Domyos! :).
