20 Best Cheap Face Primer (2022 Updated)

🖤 This primer has been a must have for all makeup lovers for a couple of years now. With ingredients such as Koolin Clay and White Charcoal, it is known to help absorb oil and leave a blurred out finish.

🖤 This primer is reasonably priced (£9) and personally I only use the smallest amount through my t-zone, as this is where i can get a little shinier. 🖤 Although this looks bright white, it works on all skin tones as it goes on colourless.

I wouldn’t recommend to use this all over the face if you don’t have oily skin. Focus on the areas that need blurring out. 🖤 When I applied it to the cheek area on the side of my nose I did find that there was some texture after I applied my foundation.

This is probably because my skin is a little drier there. 🖤When applied down the centre of my nose and a little on the chin, it really does prevent shine, and especially when the weather is hot and humid as it keeps the makeup from melting or looking shiny.

🖤 I will say I love the texture, it’s velvety and applies smoothly and it really does help makeup grip nicely to it. Definitely recommend if you are looking for something to control shiny areas, but avoid applying to dry / balanced areas as it will cause some texture.

I wanted to try a new primer, and I specifically wanted to look at what e. l. f. had to offer. What drew me initially was the appearance of the product; I really liked it. I also was glad there were a variety of e.

l. f. primers to choose from. However, the feel of the product was thicker than I had expected / than I had used before, and it felt oily when I applied it. The next thing I did was to smell the product, and I was shocked by the scent.

It resembled the smell of chemicals. The scent is so harsh that it made me instantly worry that the product may be harmful, even though I was pretty confident it would not, based on e. l. f. ‘s solid reputation.

The primer definitely grabs onto concealer and foundation and holds them securely – but a little too well because it makes it difficult to blend the makeup I applied. I plan to use the rest of the primer since I can’t afford to be wasteful, but I definitely will not purchase it again.

Even though my experience with this specific product has been negative, I will continue to use and try other e. l. f. products. I rarely ever leave negative reviews, but the smell of this product is so bad that I want other people to know about it before they decide to make the same purchase.

I’ve been using the matte putty primer on days where the humidity in Dallas is very high & it will definitely be my holy grail primer during the hot & humid summer. (I use the poreless putty primer during colder, dryer, weather).

I love how this primer prevents my skin from looking greasy & gives it a beautiful polished matte finish, even w/o foundation. I use the primer brush w/applicator for a very even finish. This is the perfect primer for the humid climates in the south.

I’ve used many primers & products prevent oily breakthroughs & believe me, this one beats them all! This product feels yummy on my skin. You won’t regret purchasing this product. The quality & price of the product are stunning.

This is the second product I have tried from Elizabeth Mott and I can’t tell you how in love I am! I knew after i tried the mascara that this product would be good. Just to clarify I bought this primer in the illuminating style and not matte.

I have combination but I do get redness and it helped tone some of that down before I even put on my foundation. It helped smooth out my makeup pretty well and a little goes a long way with this primer.

Made my makeup last longer and look even better! Don’t over do it. please. lol.

I have been using this under two different products: Pure Pressed Base Minerals and a product from Ilia, super serum with SPF 40. As I have gotten older, I find that I don’t really like as much coverage/full foundation.

I had stopped using the mineral foundation altogether as I felt it really settled into fine lines and pores. This Smooth Affair Mattifying definitely helps with that immensely under the minerals. But, as I have gotten used to a lighter, more natural look, it really is a winer under the Ilia serum as well.

Everything just sits better, looks fresher all day, and is less oily. I still look glowy/dewy, which I am after now that I’m 49, but it never looks straight up oily, which I love. I’m not sure how I feel about applying a product that is mostly diamethicone onto my skin every single day, but I will definitely use this for long days, dressier occasions, etc when I want my make up to stay fresh all day.

I have extremely sensitive, reactive skin, and I have had no issues with this product.

Let me start with this is the FIRST time in over 6 years of using Jane Iredale makeup/skincare products that I have ever had an issue with a product. It pains me to give a negative review. However, this Mattifying Primer did not work for me at all.

I am 38 and have normal skin however, in the summer I find myself getting a little more shiny throughout the day. I usually use the Oil formula in the spring/summer and the Brightening formula in the fall/winter.

Sine JI is discontinuing the Oily formula I decided to give this a try. Ordered at the end of last month but just tried it out last week as I had just used the last of my last Oily formula. IMMEDIATELY upon application my skin turned bright red and started tingling/burning.

I tried to leave on till it dried but it was painful and I didn’t want to end up with a rash so I washed it off. I tried it again a few days later, in one small spot, and unfortunately the same thing happened.

This is the only new product I introduced into my skincare. Not sure what ingredient caused this reaction but I will be returning this ASAP.

I love the Camo cc cream so it was only natural for me to try this Camo Hydrating concealer and I love it. This concealer is easy to apply, love the shade, it’s hydrating, creamy, comftorable to wear, long lasting, full coverage, brightening on my under eyes.

no creasing or cracking or patchy or fading. No lines under my eyes at all and all darkness is covered. I do not have to set this concealer with a powder if I do not want to because it will stay just like when first applied.

It does not break me out. I love the container and the applicator it dies not get messy and run out the top of the container like other concealers do on Me and I have lost lots of product and made messes in the past with other brands.

I will continue to keep this is my routine it’s one of my faves and I do 100% reccomend it to anyone with any skin type bery it. cause whether I t s an oily Rea or a dry area this concealer is never greasy or oily looking/feeling.

I use it to cover blemishes and veins sometimes in my face and it does do a wonderful job and that means lot for me. Also this concealer is affordable it’s only $6. 00 at Wal-Mart go get and try it!.

Not too bad for a cheap makeup primer option! It seems to do what it should. It gives my skin a smoother finish and makes applying my foundation much easier. However, I feel that the “veil” it leaves behind makes my foundation much more prone to rubbing off.

I use a thin layer of liquid foundation, and even with setting powder and finishing spray, I always feel like it’s going to come off even if I lightly touch my face, since the formula is pretty slippery.

One thing to note is that a little product goes a long way with this primer. You don’t need to pump out very much at all, otherwise your face will feel overly greasy. Overall, it does its job, but you have to constantly experiment with the application amount!.

I have dry/combo fair skin with an olive undertone that can pull neutral or warm depending on how much sun I’ve gotten. I wasn’t too sure which shade in the hydrating camo concealer to pick, since I was going to be using it only for my under eyes where I have blue/purple dark circles, and I had not tried the line before.

I’ve have seen so many videos raving about the concealer and showing color swatches but I was a bit skeptical because of my undertones on how well it would match me. It did not. It oxidized after about five minutes so badly that I had to clean my face off.

The other times I tried wearing it just around my house (wasn’t going to go in public like that LOL), I noticed after about an hour that it looked very patchy or streaky as well. I will likely try another shade and probably go for the original formula next time I make a purchase, just because I would love a concealer (that matches me) from elf, since it is so affordable and easy to find.

I purchased this product because I was in the market for a tinted moisturizer and have never tried any before, this was too good of a deal to pass up without at least trying. For reference, I have the most porcelain skin I have ever seen in my life so nearly everything that I purchase is too dark or turns orange on my skin.

I have two tried and true foundations, one from Smashbox and the other from Anastasia Beverly Hills. I have a dry combination skin type for reference. I wanted to love this product and it was promising at first but within the first few minutes, it was already oxidizing on my skin.

It oxidized so bad that I had an entirely different color on my face than my hairline or the rest of my body. It looked as if I had gotten a bad spray tan. It also made my super dry skin feel heavy, clogged, and oily.

I will also add, that I have contact dermatitis which is a form of eczema in which I have very sensitive skin and can only use certain soaps and cosmetics but had heard many good things about Tula. Unfortunately, this product also made my face start burning, similar feeling to a sunburn, when it was on my skin and I washed it off immediately.

I know that I am not the norm for cosmetic buyers but in case someone out there has a similar skin type, I wanted to share my experience.

I finally took the plunge and ordered this product and the Tula Cult Classic face cleanser. I officially am sold on Tula products and this one in particular is my favorite! I will never buy another brand primer! At 31 years old I am noticing my skin is not as firm and supple as it used to be, my pores are more noticeable and I am starting to get the fine lines in my laugh lines.

I have tried numerous primers before from drug store to Ulta Brand to The POREfessional and none of them have wowed me like this Tula primer. This is a tinted primer that is activated when applied to your skin.

It matches perfectly with my skin without even looking like I put a colored product on my face. It is so lightweight, my pores are now invisible, makes my makeup last all day, and makes my skin feel so soft and nourished.

I have not been using it long enough to see the results it claims to have but I whole heartedly believe I will with consistent use. Do not hesitate, if you need a good primer get this Tula Filter Primer now!.

After great reviews I bought it. It is going back. There is nothing about this that makes it so hyped. I wore it multiple times, with different foundations/tinted moisturizers. On one day I noticed foundation on everything I touched (after touching my face).

It didn’t help foundation stay on. All my other primers including hydrating primers have done a better job of reducing transfer/slip. I have redness on my nose and cheeks. This primer didn’t make a slightest difference.

Smashbox redness primer is even better than this. As for blurring, I did a half face comparison with cover fx blurring primer. and Tula left my face with texture whereas cover fx made it super smooth.

The color is a grey white when it comes out but turns orange on the skin. If you do not apply it carefully you will end up with orange streaks is you are Snow White pale. But when applied well, my nc10 foundation didn’t reveal any extra orange.

The texture of the product was ok, possibly hydrating, but that’s about all. This has been so hyped I’d love to know who actually bought it, and how it worked for them. Because for me, a complete fail.

Skin type: pale, dry combo, mild eczema and rosacea, 40’s.

This is my favorite primer I’ve ever tried. It’s light weight and goes on more like a lotion. It never gathers in fine lines or creases and makes my skin feel better hydrated throughout the day. It grips makeup without feeling thick or tight.

Skin feels flexible and makeup and sunscreen stay in place all day. I haven’t tried to use it with high glam, high coverage looks but for everyday use this is amazing. I find less is more and using a bit of this works as a protective barrier from natural elements and smog as well as my foundation and spf.

With the right skincare routine, this has kept me from getting any new unwanted blemishes. It truly feels like a protective barrier. I would purchase this again and again. The only thing is the smell of this line isn’t the most desirable.

However, its way better than some horrible thick fragrance that will more likely than not, cause breakouts.

At first I thought it was just hyped, overpriced moisturizer but tried it again when I switched to powder foundation because I wanted a good hydrating primer and not so much a pore filling one. This really hydrates and makes my skin look so nice.

It truly makes a difference with the powder and helps it blend and not be cakey. I also love that it has good ingredients. That’s something other primers miss out on, being good for your skin. It’s very light and milky in texture and absorbs pretty quickly with no greasy or funny after feeling.

And most importantly, it didn’t break me out! As far as scent, I get a plain lotion scent with maybe a hint of what you can call coconut unless I got a defective one. But that doesn’t bother me. I do think it’s a bit pricey for the amount you get so I just wait for sales or coupons.

But definitely my new favorite primer!.

I bought this and thought I was in luck considering the reviews and I honestly don’t understand the hype unless none of these people have a single wrinkle on their face. LBVS. This did nothing to keep my makeup from creasing and I even paired it with the Too Faced Born This Way Matte foundation.

In fact, my makeup creased big time and created wrinkles where I didn’t even know I had them. Everything was patchy like it didn’t want to blend either. One would think these two would pair well together considering.

I’m 34 and have minimal aging but this made me age. AND IT SMELLS HORRIBLE. It calms down once it’s on your face (believe it or not) but when it comes out of the tube, it has a strong chemical smell.

I’m going back to Mac prep and prime.

I have used this product before, fairly decent, its been an alternate to my usual primer. However I’m not a fan of primer’s runny liquid messy consistency. Gushes right out. I purchased product online as walmart sells it at a lower/discounted price if bought online pick up/ delivery (online only its cheap sold at discount and available for same day pick up but more expensive if bought in store, prices differ for THE SAME EXACT PRODUCT?!?) The foil protective seal had been removed and packaging was swollen/ bloated /tight / full of air , when initially removing the cap runny primer spewed everywhere due to the foil seal not properly being secured.

manufacturer/mechanical error or human error( walmart mishandling products) as for the online only discount. its easier to get away with selling poor quality products online little to no contact with customers and or accountability easier to disenchant/discourage customers in seeking resolutions / refunds by the many a hoop jumping is often necessary to do so vs instore as to the price differences for the exact same product, both sold at the same store same stock and both available the same day.

Im aware errored products can still be sold, 99cent store is an example however they are transparent and we have the option weather to purchase their discounted defective irregular goods. or not to. I was sold this primer at a discount great, discount does not make it ok for wet n wild and or walmart to unload their damaged/poor quality merch off on customers without fully disclosing the actual product condition, and not giving customers the right to choose as Best Buy does with their “open box ” purchase options.

Crap ? or no crap?.

When I first saw the consistency of this primer, I was really disappointed, and more than hesitant to use it. I figured what the heck though, I had already bought it and was already out of all my other primers, so I decided to give it a shot.

I’m so glad that I did! It did an absolute dream job at holding my makeup in place ALL day, even with wiping my nose, etc. , and gave me a nice, even makeup application. Not only that, but it gave me a beautiful matte finish that looked way more expensive than what I paid for it.

If you can get passed the strange consistency of this primer, I would definitely recommend trying it as far as drug store primers go. I purchased mine on Amazon for a little over $4.

I loved the feel of this primer. It’s so smooth and silky as expected with a lot of primers. The primer itself left a very “dewy/shiny” look which is what’s advertised, however not the look I was expecting.

Almost like I put on an illuminate primer and under glow. It didn’t really show through my foundation much. I paired with the glow pro foundation, but maybe they canceled each other out. going to keep playing with different matches to see how it works with others.

Other than that it’s a great primer. Looks great with with finished look!.

This can rival higher end concealers. Great coverage. Looks nice when set with powder. Did not crease. Finding a color is tricky. I have an olive/neutral undertone. If you are NC45 or lighter, don’t go darker than Tan Sand.

Tan Send has a strong yellow undertone even though the website says it has an olive undertone. Going to try a little lighter than Tan Sand and hopefully a more neutral undertone. Tan Latte is very orange even though it’s neutral and way too deep for NC45 skin or lighter, the undertone is warm, I could use it as a blush.

The website describes Tan Latte as a “warm neutral undertone but it’s basically warm. You might have to mix 2 colors to get your perfect color but for the price, that’s easy to do.

I have the Mojave desert under my eyes. And no matter how much I try to hydrate and moisturize they always dry out eventually. Within 2 to 3 hours of application of any type of moisturizing products.

That is why it’s so imperative that I use a hydrating concealer and this hydrating camel concealer is my all-time favorite. Whether you’re using it to highlight or to conceal the awful dark circles I have under my eyes (thank you mom as it is hereditary) you can absolutely count on a flawless finish.

Great for dry under eyes. Or dry complexion in general! For the price you cannot beat it. I always have two or three different shades on hand whether I want to contour or highlight or just conceal this concealer is a win-win!.

One of several different ‘trial size’ primers I used, for a chance to compare them all and see which worked best for me. I used Smashbox on a Friday evening, just before applying makeup and heading out for the night.

Repeated this on Saturday too. By Monday my skin was a mess – flaky, bumpy and some downright painful pimples. I had no idea what caused it until I used the other primers and found the same reaction with more or less all of them.

The cause? Silicones. Now I only use a primer no more than once weekly which is about all my skin can tolerate. The pros: makeup did glide on very well and stayed put for the rest of the night. You also don’t need to apply much which makes it very economical to use.

I didn’t like this when I was first learning how to apply makeup, but I’m really glad that I kept it. I think this primer works best when you’ve learned exactly how much foundation you need to apply in order to achieve the look you want.

It allows you to apply product smoothly while also ensuring a smooth transition between the texture of your product and any skin that you aren’t putting foundation on. I will say, as someone with oily skin, I don’t find this to be great for oil control.

However, I have other products (mainly setting powder) that work way better for me personally than even the best oil-control primers, so that doesn’t bother me very much. The only other caveat I want to mention is that because this product is silicone-based, it doesn’t play well with some foundations.

This is formulation dependent, so make sure to either test the primer + foundation combo on the back of your hand first or mix them together to see if you get any pilling, lumpiness, or weird textural stuff before you commit to a full look.

I’ve been using Jane Iredale Smooth Affair for about 10 years after getting a sample and really loving it but I wanted to try something different because my skin has changed and I’ve just changed makeup types.

I saw someone recommending this and thought I’d give it a go so purchased the mini size and I really like it. It takes a little longer to dry ready for makeup than my old one but it keeps my makeup fresh and natural looking all day even after my lunch time workouts.

And most importantly it doesn’t irritate my skin or cause breakout (I have sensitive skin so tend to find what works and stick to it). I will buy a full size one when my mini one finishes and I need more.

Currently I’m using it on my T-zone to control shine and still using my old one on my cheeks but will probably just switch to this when I’m out of the JI one. Definately recommend this for anyone active, during hot weather and high humidity and if more shine control is needed especially on the t-zone.

I should start by saying I don’t usually have oily skin. I tried this primer during a bout of intense oil production due to dehydration. This product will soak up all your oil — that promise is fulfilled! However, I found it left me feeling like I was wearing a clay mask on my face all day.

Perhaps someone with even oilier skin would love this product. Recently, I have been using a dab as a base for my eyeshadow primer. I have extra oily eyelids and a hooded lid, so shadows don’t like to stay on.

Due to the price I wouldn’t recommend buying it for that purpose, though.

Over priced tinted silicone primer which has awful unrealistic skin shades and balls up when used in conjunction with water based products. Total waste of money. If using for the spf properties I would advise spending your money on an spf with good quality skin identical ingredients.

Blurring, smoothing, line filling, perfection. Great base to a little concealer and blush! Does not provide coverage so much as it just blurs imperfections so I spot conceal afterwards and am out the door!.

I am 53 years old and I bought this because the older I am getting the worse my skin is looking … especially my large pores. I have tried SO MANY products to improve my skin but with minimal results at best.

Until now. I LOVE this stuff so much! It feels like satin when applied and the difference it made in my skin’s appearance is like magic!! I have had MULTIPLE friends comment “Your skin looks so good!” Trust me… that is NOT something I have ever heard before.

I don’t understand anyone saying it’s not effective … all I can say is for me it is SIMPLY WONDERFUL! I ordered two extra to make sure I never run out. If you seriously have large pores this stuff is DEFINITELY worth trying.

I wear it alone OR under makeup and the effects are just as impressive either way. TWO THUMBS WAAAAY UP!!.

I have Very oily skin with 30+ yr old pores and this is the most effective primer I’ve tried. My tips: • Skin prep is key! I use pixi glow tonic, vitamin C serum, and sunscreen beforehand, and let them sink into the skin for 3-5 minutes before applying primer.

This can prevents layers from balling up. • I use a stick foundation (Mented) and buff in (don’t swipe) with a dense foundation brush. Before applying the foundation, I spray the brush with a matte setting spray.

• After foundation, blush, and cream bronzer application, I apply my setting powder and spray my face with matte setting spray. My foundation doesn’t budge for at least 7+ hours and I use the revlon oil absorbing roller for touch ups.

I had heard so many amazing things about this primer through a girlfriend, so I decided to try out a sample size. I hadn’t used a primer in a while since I hadn’t really found one I had liked. Trying it out for the first time I wasn’t sure about the consistency but after I saw how it made my face look smooth and my pores look smaller I was instantly interested.

After completing my whole set of makeup I loved the way the primer changed my look. I think this specific primer works well for people with oily skin. They also have a lightweight and a hydrating primer for those who may have drier skin.

Overall, I liked this product so much I went out and purchased the regular size bottle. I would definitely recommend.

I’m not really a big fan of primers, but when you’re dealing with New York weather in the summer, it’s a must. Especially because I wear a powder foundation, I like sheer to medium coverage but what I don’t like is being outside for 15 mins and makeup is already sweating off my face, when you have to keep applying powder it’s never a good thing.

I’ve never liked primers especially ones that have that thick heavy silicone type feel. Great fully for me I found this Milani Prime Shield Primer at Dollar Tree for $1. 25. It’s more of a pore minimizing primer however it does mattify the skin to create a great base.

I will admit it does have that silicone feeling to it but it’s not thick or heavy and my skin still feels like it can breathe. I only need very little to do my whole face and I’m so glad I found this a dollar tree !.

This is one of the best primers I have. It gives you a really great mattifying look. It not only mattifies but it perfects the skin. It minimizes the look of pores and fine lines and it’s also lightweight and it has a non- greasy feel when it’s applied on.

I really love using this , Milani is a really good brand and they went all out with this primer I can’t say anything bad about this primer because it’s great I really recommend this to you all check it out.

I have had to use primer the last two years or you can see major difference and it looks bad if I don’t!! I snagged this up on clearance and it’s one of my absolute favorites. It gives the matte finish and a little goes a long way! It makes my under eyes not get creased after a couple hours and my favorite is it hides my pores so well because they have gotten really bad around my nose and t zone.

I absolutely love this primer! I just finished up my first tube of it and didn’t really realize how much it helped until I did my makeup without it today for the first time since the summer. I originally bought this because over the summer, no matter how much powder I was using on my face, my skin just wouldn’t get matte, not even a slight bit.

I bought this and the nars soft matte concealer and the two together really helped keep me matte where I was getting really oily and my makeup stayed on all day! Then once my skin got really dry again over the fall and winter, I kept using it out of habit, but where I just realized it’s been a huge help is layering on top of thick moisturizers.

I use the Dr. Jart Ceramidin cream in the fall/winter because it’s the only thing that helps with flakiness around my nose, chin and forehead. When I did my makeup today and realized I was out of my primer, my face makeup that usually looks amazing on top of the primer was all blotchy and stuck to random parts of my face and started pilling throughout the day because of how thick the Ceramidin cream is.

Needless to say, I’m making a trip to Sephora to repurchase as soon as I’m done writing this review! I would say the only con I have for this product is the smell, but I’ve gotten used to it now and it doesn’t linger at all after application.

It just smells really strong as you’re applying it but then it goes away after it absorbs into the skin.

This is a beautiful primer. This primer should have been called creamy, soft focus effect not matte. It takes down shine but doesn’t look velvety compared to a traditional matte primer. Doesn’t show any dry, flaky spots and It holds my makeup better under the masks also.

I have normal skin btw and I would anticipate it would work for even dry up to combo but maybe not excessively oily.

I love Nars products but this one did not work for me. I have oily skin and like to use primer daily for work (no other makeup on my skin). Within 2hrs my face was shiny. I blot throughout the day but found my skin looking as if I was sweating.

I at one point just used some tissue and water to wipe it off my face completely while at work. I did give this product 3 trys but just wasn’t right for my face.

I have used this primer previously & had trouble sourcing it locally to where I live. Pores & fine lines are minimised. Very smooth, long lasting effect, skin looks fresh all day. Feels breathable, non-pilling, non-caking & non-clogging.

Excellent value for money & does an excellent job! I have to say that I have tried other primers but this is by far my favourite go to one.

I have been using this for years. Firstly it is an excellent primer which takes the shine off my nose and chin as I have combination skinand secondly in the winter it gives my face a healthy look as it is slightly tinted.

In the summer I use the clear primer to take the shine away. It is also excellent value for a product that works for e.

I purchased this primer mainly due to it being so affordable and thought that i would give it a try. It did not end well for me although it went on beautifully and I had a great make up day for about an 2 hours.

I wore this from 10am until 3pm along with my usual products. By lunch time I could see some patchy/sliding areas of product so I tried to powder it down and this helped for around half an hour when my face began to melt again it actually made me look so old and like I had airbrushed myself in the first pic which I do no editing just natural sunlight.

I would not recommend this. I have normal leaning slightly oily skin type.

I really struggle with finding the right primer for me. I really loved all of these. The pore minimiser one didn’t work with my skin as its pretty dry but the rest were amazing. I was glad the try them for a cheaper price than full sized in case I didn’t like them.

I think the primer water was my favorite.

I decided to finally treat myself to Smashbox primer. after reading all the fab reviews over the years I thought its time!! So not being able to make my mind up I thought I would give this box set a try and boy I was/am blown away by the products.

I can say without doubt I am a convert. Worth every penny. These primers are worthy of the hype. Quality products that have made my skin feel amazing. Not only that but they have managed to make me feel comfortable in my own skin.

The Water Primer spray is outstanding. I spritz over my face after doing my make up. It make my make up stay put. My skin looks fab and I feel fab. Smashbox you have exceeded expectations. well done guys.

The products within this set are lovely. I absolutely love the pore perfecting primer – however the size of the products within are tester size. The only nicely sized one is the setting spray – I didn’t expect full sized products but disappointed with what I received.

The pack is expensive in my view for what it contains. I would buy Smashbox products again – but not this set.

I love how smooth it makes my skin feel. My makeup looks Frey as well. I have dry skin. However, it doesn’t actually minimize or make the pore look smaller. I do prefer this primer because of how dewy my skin looks.

My makeup always looks flawless. Just wish it minimized pores.

First things first. Beauty Creations is such a great company. They make some amazing products and the best part is they are SO affordable. The new liquid eyeliners they came out with, unbelievable. This primer really does help hide those large pores and keeps things matte.

I always use a matte primer in the center of my face and I have large pores on my cheeks by my nose and this makes such a difference. Such an under rated company.

This primer is incredible. It leaves your skin very soft and smooth. I always use it before putting it on the foundation. There is nothing wrong with this product, the best I have ever had in my life.

What I love is that just a little bit is enough. I recommend this product 100%.

I tried out the Colorscience brand on a whim and am so glad that I did! I have oily skin and have been searching for a mattifying primer and a sunscreen that does not make my skin look like an oil slick.

I have found both in the Colorscience Mattifying Primer. When I first dispensed the product, I was nervous about the tint not matching my skin tone, but it blended perfectly. I love the mousse like consistency as well.

It has definitely improved my oiliness and I love that it contains SPF as well. This product is a must buy for oily skin!.

I did not see any skin-brightening effects. After using minimal products (serum & moisturizer) I applied this primer. Then when I applied my foundation, the primer pilled up everywhere, making my skin look like it was peeling and dry.

I thought maybe it was a fluke, but had the same issue several days in a row. I ended up returning to Lovely Skin. I appreciate the Titanium & Zinc sunscreen in this product, but nothing else about it suited me.

Still on the hunt for a good primer though.

This is a lovely product. Originally I had it as a sample and liked it so much I bought the full size at the full price. Enjoyed it again, but didn’t want to repurchase at the regular price as I think it’s overpriced.

I did decide if I ever had an opportunity to buy it discounted, I absolutely would. Found it at Winners for a fraction of the original price and bought it right away. My favorite thing about this primer is the scent.

It has a raspberry (?) smell to it that I love. It adds a little radiance to your face and it just makes me happy to wear it (does that sound silly?). But for nearly $40, I don’t think it’s worth that.

I don’t feel like it makes that much of a noticeable difference for that price point. I purely like it for the scent, the bit of radiance, and how it makes me happy to wear/smell it. I would repurchase, but only if I could find it discounted again – would not repurchase for full price.

I would like to point out that this product is extraordinary on an older “Queenager”, which I am. That is why I bought two this time. Plus, I’m convinced that it either moisturizes or helps hold in moisture–a major concern when one dwells in the desert.

‘That Gal’ makes me look younger, fresher, and dare I say, happier!.

Love this! It smells great and it makes my makeup look gorgeous when I prime with this before my foundation. It makes my face look flawless and even and really brightens everything up! It feels so weightless when I wear it, it really absorbs in the skin and it really makes a subtle difference in the look of my makeup and how it stays put and perfect all throughout the day.

This makes me glow and I’ve had friends compliment my skin and ask me how I’m “glowing” and if it’s natural! This gives me a flawless complexion even on days I wear it alone. It spreads even and hydrated my face at the same time.

I recommend this to anybody who wants to get a natural glow with a great product that works wonders on sensitive and combination skin. It’s not cheap but one click is enough for the day!!!.

I bought the mini to see if this would work, and honestly I didn’t expect to love it, after many primers I’ve tried over the years. The look I’m going for is me, but *much better. * Less red, less texture/pores, smooth balanced skin.

But still where if you look at me closely, you ideally can’t tell I’m wearing makeup. This starts with skincare (Ordinary + its sibling brand). I’ve changed two things lately, and I don’t know which is making such an extraordinary difference (maybe both)? But I’m inclined to think this is the main reason, and the other is just icing on the cake.

I get shiny *no matter what* after some number of hours, especially easy to see in unflattering lighting and outdoors. If I wear only skincare plus this, I look like a healthy human however late in the day, not a shiny mess.

And if I wear it with makeup (a little concealer, some light serum foundation just across my cheeks, a light dusting of foundation powder over everything, maybe some light contouring, plus that one other new thing that I changed, adding Westman Atelier’s setting powder in pink).

it’s just totally next level, what I always wanted, even at age 45 now. Today for example I tried starting up my old car, and instead a light in the passenger side door burst into flame/smoke. In the hot CA heat! And when I was done dealing with that craziness, I was stunned to see I looked exactly as I had before it all happened.

all cool, calm, collected. So yes, I’m going to buy the full size of this now!.

I’m almost speechless at how well this works. I wanted to try a new foundation, and since this had such good reviews it seems like a good option. I wasn’t initially too impressed. The smell was off-putting (not chemical or fragranced, but definitely artificial) and the texture gave me pause.

It applies very thick and dries fast, almost felt like a hardened coating. (IMO identical to BECCA Mattifying Poreless Primer, which worked okay-ish for me but caused dryness, breakouts, and was uncomfortably stiff and thick.

) But then I wore it for the first full day to the beach. Now obviously I don’t go swimming in a full face of makeup, but regular sunscreen causes havoc on my skin, so I always wear primer and my go-to foundation (YSL All Hours, which has SPF) and then re-apply again after swimming.

This time? Not necessary. My foundation looked nearly UNTOUCHED after ~5 hours at the beach in 90+ temperatures, including 2hrs of swimming (often completely underwater)! I couldn’t believe it. The only areas of slight rub off were around my eyes from constantly swiping water away.

With my regular primers (Benefit Matte Poreless and Too Faced Hangover Rx – which I still love, and feel they work well for every day) the foundation would be almost completely gone. Best of all – no breakouts or dryness so far! I’ll probably stick to my regular primers for daily use, just because I prefer a lighter, flexible texture.

But I’ll always make sure to have some of this handy for beach days or if I need outdoor/long lasting wear.

i love that i got to try this primer before it launched! i had never tried anything from milk makeup and i got a very good first impression of the brand after trying this. this primer is absolutely amazing, i’m very impressed.

the primer is super lightweight, almost feels as if i’m not putting anything on my face. doesn’t feel heavy, greasy or sticky. most primers have a very silicone-y feel to them but this did not. it has a nice, smooth consistency that feels almost like a moisturizer, the texture feels nice and is very different from most primers i’ve used.

this is the most lightweight water cream formula matte primer i have ever tried. this applies on super nicely and feels soft and refreshing on my skin. it is a great base before applying my makeup. my foundation applied smoothly with no lines and wore nicely throughout the day.

i have very oily skin and this was perfect for a longer lasting makeup wear that didn’t make my skin get as oily, this is definitely great for controlling shine! this blurs and minimizes the appearance of my pores which i love! it has a nice matte finish that doesn’t look overly matte.

this has a nice, subtle, fresh and soothing scent to it that i really enjoyed! love that this primer is silicone-free, made with amazing ingredients and most importantly that didn’t break me out!.

My sister bought this face primer at TJ Maxx for only 4. 99 and told me how well she liked it so I decided I wanted to get some and try it too! I was so surprised when I tried it for the first time! It really is a good primer! I love the gold little flakes floating in the primer and it has a light, clean smell to it! The bottle looks super cute sitting on my vanity too! I would recommend! Especially if you can find it at TJ Maxx for less than 5 bucks ;).

This product I stumbled across in T. J. max. They give you plenty of product in a nice gold trimmed bottle. Product is true to its claim, so if you have dryness this primer definitely gives a boost of hydration with a touch of glow.

* product does last for most of the day(a nice base for like a lightweight foundation or bb cream, however if looking for something mattifying this product is not for you).

Okay this products can be a little messy but like a good messy. This is my favorite face primer and the only one i use now. It hides my pores and my fine lines yes i know im young but hey at 27 i can still have wrinkles bjt i would recommend everyone to atleast give it a shot.
