20 Best Cheap Rangefinder Golf (2022 Updated)

I was skeptical at first. Really. a range finder for disc golf? But let me tell you, after my first round with it, I won’t go without. Me and my brother played a round and would guess how close we were to the basket.

More often than not, we were at least 25′ off on distance. Doesn’t sound like a lot until you try putting at circle’s edge versus parking it. Where it really comes in handy is my thumber. Max distance/height drops in at 210′.

I can dial that in knowing the exact distance. Also great to identify hazards you must avoid/carry. I absolutely love this tool! Best addition to my bag, by far.

I heard about this thing watching Jomez Pro. I had been wanting a range finder for a bit now for use with some of my other hobbies, but when I saw that they were making one geared toward disc golf, I was immediately intrigued.

I love the option to be able to measure in feet, yards, or meters with the click of a button. Having the elevation shift is also nice, especially for shooting.

So I got the Prism a couple of weeks ago. Due to a slight error on my part, the one that I ordered was out of stock, which Pinned emailed me about, but it went to my junk folder and unfortunately I didn’t see it.

I had a scramble that I was playing in that I needed it for as my old rangefinder died. I reached out to Pinned and they took care of me, immediately overnighting my Prism so I would have it in time.

I have used the Prism for 5 rounds since that time and let me tell you, it is a game changer. It works perfectly and the targets are pretty easy to lock on to, whether that is a pin, bunker, water. The magnet is crazy strong and will hold on to any piece of metal that you attach it to.

When it comes to water resistance, this thing is a beast. The first round that I played I had the privilege of getting stuck in an absolute downpour. While I tried to shield it as best I could inside the cart, it seemed like the sky was dumping buckets into the cart.

But guess what? No issues at all. I played the next day and noticed that the inside of the case was a bit damp and that the Prism’s front lens had a bit of moisture in it. I left it on the cart while I warmed up and by the time I came back, it was dry and no evidence of moisture was there.

If you are looking for a quality rangefinder that works better than advertised, go buy this one right now, you will not be disappointed!!.

I have been golfing consistently for the last 10 years. From a gradual player, to someone who has taken the game more and more serious as each year passes. I have been in the market for a range finder for quite some time, and I finally think I hit the jackpot with the Pinned Prism.

The speed and accuracy of this particular rangefinder, has been the most efficient from all the models I have tried in the past. I was between this and a GPS watch, and I am ecstatic with my choice. It doesn’t hurt that you can choose between the variety of colors they have for this particular model.

The USB feature is also way ahead of the battery powered competition. When the time comes (which it seemingly never will) to charge, having the ability to just throw it on the charger after a round is very convenient, and cost effective.

Would highly recommend to all skill levels.

I have had the Pinned Prism for about 2 weeks and it is very easy to use. The ranges seem to be good readings. For the price it does well without stabilization. However, I rank it low because it is totally unusable in foggy, misty conditions that I happened to try it in a tournament at Poppy Hills golf course in Pebble Beach.

I expect some issues but was definitely hoping for better as the fog was clearing. The typical reading in such cases was between 4 and 7 yards for pins that were 60 to 120 yards away. For the price it is great for clear sunny days.

Lots to like: clear sight, simple to use, compact, and the price.

I bought the Coolshot 50i in February. It has never worked well. I am now playing regularly and realize how poorly it works. It’s about 50-50 to get a reading from 100 yards without having to try a few times.

At 150 yards even after numerous tries the readings vary widely and are not helpful. Friends I play with who have cheaper rangefinders ($200 vs. $300 for this one) get far better results. I called Nikon and was told the only thing I could do was ship it back for them to check/repair it.

I would be responsible for packaging and shipping costs and the turnaround time is 1-2 weeks. Very poor support for an 8 month old $300 rangefinder that still has full power original battery. I recommend considering a Bushnell, Calloway, or other reputable brand.

I have used a Garmin GPS watch for years, but correct hazard, bunker and obstacle information isn’t always accurate or available. Some courses are not on the watch database and there are times when the watch cannot connect to the satellite.

Laser rangefinders solve these problems. This is my first rangefinder. As a Nikon photographer, I choose a brand that I trusted. I also compared it to the other rangefinders, in the PGA Superstore, and for the price, the Nikon 50i was as good or better than all in this price range.

The Bushnell V5 was good, but no quicker to lock on the targets and it lacks many features the Nikon has, like slope. I was skeptical of the slope feature until I used it on the course. It’s an excellent feature for new courses with significant elevation changes.

The only criticism I have is the size, which makes it a bit lightweight and a bit more challenging to use in strong winds. In this price range, the stabilization feature is not an option. BUt, aside form that, it is an excellent rangefinder: easy to use, easy to read and it turns off automatically in 8 seconds, so you won’t waste battery life!.

I really wanted to love this product. The optic are really bright as you would expect from Nikon. The bright red recticle was beautiful. When it came to locking on the pin I was very disappointed. I was only able to lock onto about 50% of the pins.

My home course has prisms on all of its pins. It would give me a yardage but not give me a jolt. Compared to my playing partners this was a deal breaker. They were using a competitor’s unit and acquired the pin with no problem and gave them a locked on signal.

I did speak to technical support and did a hard restart. Back on the course the next day. Locked on to any tree, but still only 50% of the pins. Returned the unit. PGA Superstore was very gracious and took the return.

I don’t know if my problem was isolated but I was reluctant to try another 50i.

I just received the Laser Rangefinder and decided to take it out on the golf range before the hunts to see how accurate it is. I was very surprised in how easy it was to switch from metric to standard right out of the box.

I didn’t even read the instructions. I just popped in the battery and held down the mode button and wa la switched. It is very easy to use. light weight and seemed very accurate. The pictures are a little off from the markers because of me trying to hold my phone up to the eyepiece as I took the picture and ranged the distance.

I usually hunt with a muzzle-loader and will be using a muzzle-loader this fall in the canyons of Utah. This product will be amazing to have in the field. Accurate. Light Weight. Simple.

It’s a functional well made case for the golf course. It’s waterproof & has decent protection features I like the belt strap that allows me to carry it with me to my ball and be out of my way when I swing the club.

I would put some softer material inside the case for more protection of the range finder. The attachment ring doesn’t serve much purpose b/c I won’t be attaching the case to my golf bag. I ride in a cart almost always & the rough bumps would eventually break the the ring strap, losing the case & rangefinder.

Overall, I’m pleased with the case. It will serve the purpose/reasons why I bought it!.

I’ve had my Boblov range finder for 2 years now. The UBS charger works great, I golf 2/3 times per month and have to charge it only a few times. The Boblov holds a long charge, I mean I’ve really only had to charge this just a few times in 2 years.

When on the course I compare my range finder with other players and we are always with in 1-3yrds of each other. I’ve noticed when I’m in #2 mode with the slope has more accuracy. I would overwhelming recommend this product to anyone who wants to spend less than the major brands.

My friends have Bushnell’s and Golfbuddys but this does the same for alot less price.

The product itself is great. It’s the whole experience I had with their customer service. After winning the rangefinder in a tournament… I was using my old magnet which worked perfectly. I wanted it to match my blue tees rangefinder so I went online to buy one.

I also registered my rangefinder that I had won. After a week my rangefinder kept falling because the magnet was just too weak. I emailed them and told them my rangefinder was all banged up, maybe I got a bad magnet.

They offered a discount to buy another one. Months later ( only 6 months) I emailed again because my rangefinder wasn’t working. Not reading, would turn off and not even close to being accurate. They replied with they would exchange if I had a receipt.

I told them I won it and my rangefinder had been registered with them. No help. The customer service rep said give me a day to figure out what we can do. A few days later, the magnet gives out AGAIN… and the whole thing bounced off the cart path and into the water.

Customer service again said all we can do is give you a discount to buy a new one. I get it, but I had only had the rangefinder for 6 months and I have began to let them know of the situation 3 months after I got their product.

I liked the rangefinder and magnet, just expected more out of their customer service. Now I’m looking to buy a new one… just don’t want to be in the same situation I have been the last few months.

I got the Rangefinder on the day that it was forecasted to arrive. On time and in great condition. I read the instructions, inserted the battery and got it all ready to use the next day for a tee time with my friends.

The next day we took turns using the Rangefinder and everyone commented on how easy it was to use. Also we compared the Blue Tees Rangefinder against their Rangefinders and the base yardage (M1 option) was similar to theirs.

The real difference was in slope option (M2) and my friends were amazed at amount of difference between the base yardage and the slope yardage! That was eye opener and it makes a difference in club selection.

This is a good Rangefinder and the slope option is nice to be able to use in practice rounds or when playing a new course for the first time. I am pleased with its performance and look forward to using this into the future!.

Couldn’t wait to use my new Blue Tees rangefinder. Put in the battery and immediately measured the distance to the tree in the neighbor’s yard. The rangefinder locked in almost immediately and informed me the tree was 224 yards away; somewhat surprising since it’s just across the street.

Then I noticed the decimal point. I’m not sure my game is at the level where I need to know that it’s 22. 4 yards, 22 would be good enough. Heck, 25 would be good enough, but it’s sort of fun to know how far it is to the pin down to the tenth of a yard.

Of course, the course is where it’s meant to perform and I was impressed by the bright viewfinder and the way it locked in on the target (my previous rangefinder had trouble locking in on a cart barn, although it could find a tree behind the green quite easily).

It was a great purchase until that sudden rainstorm. I ran for cover, leaving my Blue Tees rangefinder in the cart’s cupholder where it got soaked. Drowned really. But I’m happy to report that after 10 days in bag of rice and a new battery (an extra one is included) it’s working perfectly.

I’m very happy with my Blue Tees rangefinder and have recommended it to others, but they’ve seen me play and don’t usually take my advice.

Have used this rangefinder for 5 rounds and it has proven to be useful and very effective. Only reason for the 4 star as opposed to 5 star is that it has occasionally taken multiple shots to hone in on the pin.

I’d say it’s about 90% grabbing the pin on the first try. Yardage is accurate and slope factoring is money. Managed to get it on sale, saved about $50. The price, even when not on sale, is on par with other range finders.

The Patriot Pack also comes with a very nice divot tool and ball mark, which was a bonus. The case has a magnet that can be used to stick it to a golf cart, creates a very strong grip. Also has a caribener to put on your bag.

I have 5 rounds under my belt with this one. I had the Precision Pro NX with slope and it was great, until it got wet in a monsoon. I had a few gift cards from Dicks and decided to purchase the Tour V5 without slope, simply to save the $100 difference.

So far, the Bushnells optics are far better. I think the distances are accurate, but since I don’t have the Precision Pro to directly compare, I cannot honestly say that’s it’s more accurate. The heft and build quality of the Bushnell is much nicer than the Precision Pro.

That said, I would not let that hold me back from one or the other. Battery life so far seems very good, but only time will tell. The visual cue that displays a flashing ring when locked on a flag does not seem to work every time, but perhaps that’s user error, again time will tell.

If you want a super high quality non-slope rangefinder, this one is a keeper.

Bushnell was the first to market rangefinders 26 years ago. Their optics and technology is poorly copied my many companies today. If you can compare Callaway topline with the Busnell the first thing you will notice is how bright and clear the image appears.

Cheap rangefinders use cheap optics to bring the price down. It is like a high quality camera lens. Busnell is in the optics business. Everything in the Tour V5 Shift is what other companies will try to copy into their product.

It is small, fast, and accurate. I love the new patented slope compensation technology. The PinSeeker and Visual Jolt makes finding the flag fast without locking onto a target in the background. You are buying quality scientific distant measure instrument.

Not cheap junk! You never regret buying quality. This is the rangefinder you want! 5 Stars easy!.

I’ve owned 2 different range finders and used 5, including the top rated Garmin Z82 and Blue Tees 3 Max. online can compare to the speed and accuracy of this Pro XE model. I don’t always get the pin lock vibration hole to hole, I think because of targets around the flag and in the back ground that impact that sometimes, but I do get consistent and fast readings every time I hit the target whether it vibrates or not.

My other range finders I would shoot 3-4x’s to ensure consistent readings or to get an “average” range to ensure I was getting an accurate reading but with the Pro XE I’ve done this as a habit and totally impressed that the reading is exactly the same each time I do this exercise.

This really bumps my confidence in yardage without the need to do this exercise. The build of this unit feels like quality and something that should last a long time. Some of the other lesser priced units feel like they are using lower quality materials as the weight is a fraction of this unit.

That said even though heavier it doesn’t impact the ability to use it hole to hole and since it is so fast to lock on you don’t need to hold it as long to shoot your targets. The viewfinder is bright and vibrant and the readout super easy to read in bright or low light.

Very simple readout and quick to find when viewing the target. Some range finders have so much info. shown that it takes a little time to find the correct yardage vs on this unit. Slope feature is super easy to use with the simple slide of the switch and works great when you can use it and easy to turn off for tournaments.

The magnet is a feature I loved on the Blue Tees X3 and glad the Bushnell has the same. Even though the unit is heavier and I was a bit worried about the ability to hold on rough sections of our course I’m happy to say this magnet held the XE Pro solid with no sliding, etc to worry me it would fall off.

All n all I cannot say enough how happy I am with this laser rangefinder. It isn’t cheap but you can tell right away that it is quality and should last many years. If you amortize that over the years or rounds played the cost is easier to justify.

The enjoyment I get from using this quality product helps also to justify paying more but for a guy that doesn’t change his equipment as frequently as many people I’m into buying quality and using for many seasons without feeling that need to buy new all of the time.

Of course that means taking good care of your equipment to keep it in good repair so it does last. I think this Pro XE will be easy to care for and will last a long time. If on the fence I hope this helps.

I am a very analytical guy that reads lots of reviews, watches YouTube Videos, etc. before I speed my money on such things (drives my wife crazy when we buy appliances, etc. ) but that’s the line of work I’m in so habits are hard to break.

I do believe though it does help when making purchases like this and breaking down the costs over time for quality products that will enhance your gaming experience when on the course, and speed up play which is an issue many places.

Best rangefinder on the market, period. Takes a little while to learn how to use it–shoot an object close to the flag so chip has time to record temps and barometric pressure, then ease over to the flag and it ‘jolts’ giving distance plus a slope correction.

Incredibly accurate and compared it to my friends Bushnell Patriot pack range finder and up to 9 yds difference in the slope reading which is 1 club difference. It improved my game by 4 shots the first time out, shot 74 on a really hard par 72 course.

Definitely attach an adddress lable (small) to the bottom over the label in case you leave it attached to the cart–it’s black and most cart stanchions are black. I use this extensively, even more than my old one because it’s 7X and has a really clear screen and magnification is outstanding.

It’s amazing the technology used in this and it does make a difference. I will never go back to a rangefinder without this technology, you get hooked on it.

I already owned a Rangefinder (Not Bushnell) and had found it to be a useful piece of equipment. I was, however, becoming increasingly impatient with the time it was taking to acquire the Pin. I would be the first to say that some of that was my fault.

(Unsteady hands etc). I began to look around at what was available. It soon became clear that Pro XE was the preferred choice for a lot of Pro golfers. Having made my choice, I began to look around for one to purchase.

Got mine at a good price. Result ! The Pro XE bag has both a hook attachment and Velcro straps to attach it to ones golf bag. There is also a magnetic element in the RF itself so that it can adhere to a metal surface on the bag/cart.

I dont think that I will be using that anytime soon. I like to know that my equipment is safe and secure. On using the Bushnell I could quickly see why it is so popular. Target acquisition is very simple taking a fraction of the time it did with my previous RF.

I will just say that I am very, very happy with my new RF and would readily recommend it to anyone.

I have used this rangefinder for about 10 rounds on a few different courses. I’ve used other rangefinders and recently have been using GPS software on my phone. I never enjoyed using my phone on the course due to the distraction.

This device is just fun to use. There is a slight delay for the device to wake up, but it doesn’t bother me at all. I end up using the GPS functionality even more than the laser. They’ve done an amazing job with the software UI to give you a ton of information very quickly.

I do wish there was a shortcut to get to the score card quickly. The pin finder function is surprisingly useful (pro tip, don’t wear a hat with a magnetic ball marker). One drawback is that you can’t use a magnet attachment with this rangefinder due to the compass.

I use a bag with a magnet flap and that doesn’t seem to bother it. The laser is very accurate and grabs the flag quickly. The overlay of the ranged distance on the hole overview is just awesome. I end up playing a lot of evenings.

One benefit of this device is makes the flag easy to see even when getting dark. It amplifies the ambient light and makes it easy to see. The battery life is probably the only drawback. I usually need to charge about every other round.

I keep a backup battery in my bag so even if I forget to charge, I can plug in while getting ready. It actually charges very quickly. The connection to the phone works great and very cool how the score updates from the rangefinder into the Garmin golf app.

In summary, this is a premium device at a premium price. At first I struggled with the idea of spending $500+ on a rangefinder, but very glad I did.

Have used the laser about 10 rounds now. The accuracy of the GPS is awesome, sometimes from over 350, it is pretty hard to get the flag but most of us aren’t flag hunting from that range. The pin seeker works well but not sure really needed with the 2D layout on screen.

Most of the time (8/10) the line across the green to show approximate location of the flag on the green works. When it doesn’t, I think trusting the approach view with front, back and carry over bunkers is accurate enough to use.

Wind feature doesn’t work unless Garmin app is on and active but the app overall isn’t as good as many other to track scores and other date. But turn it on to get wind speed and direction. The only thing I don’t like is that it is rechargeable, and not battery.

It last’s about 2. 75 rounds so be sure to have the cord with you to charge if needed. It does charge really quick if needed. Since the GPS follows what hole you are on, if you spray to other fairway or off too far, the GPS thinks you are on the next hole.

You will need to use more of laser to get landing area. I haven’t tried changing holes inside laser but maybe it would work if followed with the app?.

Hard to get back in stupid little bag. Always gets disconnected from iPhone every 3 holes which you need for wind speed. Green contours requires $$ for subscription, not worth it for just that feature.

Help support very frustrating, telling you to delete all garmin apps and remove pairing to fix disconnected issues. If device is disconnected from iPhone and no Wi-Fi or poor cell reception you won’t be able to reconnect.

Crazy expensive for all the negatives.

This range finder has it all there is nothing missing. My golf group all asks me to double check and shoot the par 3s for them off the tee now as their range finders are not as clear. After looking through theirs I further appreciate the clear sight picture and nice zoom and reticle not to mention the built in magnet and vibration on pin lock.

As the sun was starting to set and dusk set in with the orange pink sky the reticle changed from black to red with the auto ambient lighting. I will say though the one thing- and this is nit picky – is the readings seem to waver 1-2 yards if you repeat the same range shoot multiple times.

This could be due to the glare of the flag rebounding the laser differently but just had to say that to stay objective. Either way you are getting a slope adjusted yardage accurate to within a yard or two every time.

I really like the Garmin Z82 and its overall features. Recently the unit fell from the magnetic mount I had and it cracked the viewing window and threw the slope off by 3 yards. I wanted to send it in to have the lens fixed and the slope recalibrated but they indicated I would have to pay $200 for a different range finder.

The Z80 is a better model it has better precision on yardage and the blue tooth connection on the Z82 has to manually connected each time and drains the battery.

Its a great concept but they are still developing the technology. The screen is not very sharp and the wind meter is worse than worthless. Although it isn’t a deal breaker, the unit has a slight delay to wakeup and its a bit weird to look into a viewfinder with a black screen.

The battery life could be better, if you forget to charge it, you may not have a rangefinder to use. Common issue with GPS units but with rangefinders, its not often that you cant use them due to lack of battery power.

I think its a amazingly cool idea and the unit has a clean futuristic design. I think the next edition will even be better. I hope they keep improving this model at a rapid pace and yeah I was hoping for a wind meter that was useful, but wind is a tough vector to measure accurately Especially when the wind is swirling.

Not only does the wind meter not read accurate direction, but it gives a generic wind speed. I believe they just use a weather app that might indicate the wind is blowing West at 8mph and then you get a compass adjusted reading depending where you are on the course.

During the past 2 years, I have been testing other golfers range finders to decide if I wanted another golf tool. I tested popular and less popular brands. When I researched this Coolshot 50i it seemed to be the right choice.

It was the right choice the OLED lens give you clear crip sight. The measuring indicators make it easy to find your target to calculate the distance. This rangefinder is light weight, compact, and comes with a quality carry case.

The warranty seems to be the best offered compared to other brands.

Have had for about 7 months now. It is superior to others I’ve owned. The display is crystal clear. I love the red OLED. It is so clear and easy to read. Has slope. Locks on flag quick. Has magnet to attach to cart (once you’ve gotten one with this feature, hard to imagine having one without).

Anyway, you should buy this one, especially at this sale price. I’d gladly pay $300 again though. Hit em straight!.

First let me say that I almost went with a competitive brand because there were so many negative complaints about the NX9 on here and throughout the internet. about the poor design of the buttons and the poor battery life.

Only through extensive research and reading of reviews, dates and pictures on the internet did I conclude that the company made major changes to the newest version to solve all those problems. The newer version’s buttons are now flush to keep them from accidentally being pressed while in the case and there is now an automatic shutoff after 10 seconds that keeps the battery from being drained unintentionally.

all previous problems solved. Unfortunately I found no mention of any of this in any company literature and I don’t quite understand why. But I guess that’s none of my business. on to the review. The NX9 Slope has been an awesome.

The optics are clear and crisp and magnification is perfect. It reads extremely fast, about as quick as you can press the button. False readings of background objects have been very rare and only when I’m being lazy with my aim.

If I think my reading is false I just immediately push the button again and get another reading to compare within a fraction of a second. The built-in magnet is an awesome feature for my golf cart. It stays attached to my cart’s roof support right in front of me for fast and easy access during the round.

The slope feature would be really nice if you play in a hilly area but it’s pretty flat where I am so my 2 readings are always very similar. Battery life seems to be great so far. I’ve played 5 rounds with it and always pull it out at the driving range too and still shows full power.

In addition to shooting flags for approach yardages I also shoot lips of bunkers and banks of water hazards to let me know how far to clear them. I also shoot signs at the driving range to hone my club distances.

And when I smoke a drive I always turn backwards and shoot something on the tee box to let me know exactly how far I hit it. I shopped extensively before I purchased and found that there is no other legitimate competition in this price range and that I would have to spend at least $150 more to find a comparable competitor model.

Been very happy with my NX9 Slope thus far and would recommend above all other competitors.

I normally use a GPS watch when I play, but use a rangefinder for exact pin locations or trying to pick out targets (layups, hazards, etc) on a given hole. The previous gen NX7 Pro that I owned could really only pick out flags, but it was slow or not pick up anything which made for a frustrating experience.

My new NX9 Slope is a huuuge upgrade! It picks up flags quickly AND other targets that I wasn’t able to reliably acquire w/ the NX7 Pro. I had seriously considered spending the extra $ for a Bushnell, but I’m so glad I didn’t.

Kudos to Precision Pro for upgrading the internals of their current gen rangefinders and offering a solid ‘trade up’ program to current owners! You’ve got a customer for life!.

I would not be able to hold steady enough to get long distance measurements with a rangefinder that does not have stabilization. This one works great! You can’t put the eyepiece right up to your eye–you’ll need to hold it away just a bit.

I learned to place my index finger between the top edge of the eyepiece and my eyebrow to help hold a steady eye relief distance. The case that comes with it is decent. The magnetic snap-type closure is easy to open–good for when you want to get out the rangefinder in a hurry, but bad if you want to be sure it is secure.

I bought a $10 aftermarket zippered case to help protect the unit.

I had the Bushnell Pro X2 and retrurned it for the Coolshot Pro Stabilized. I really couldn’t keep the Bushnell steady and I had no issues with the NIkon at all. It was night and day. I do think the build quality for the Bushnell was better but the Stabilization, Continuous Scan feature, Incredible OLED Display, and the 5 year WTYTY, make this one a no brainer.

I am very happy with my purchase. The only negative I could even mention is that the case is pretty weak and could have been a little nicer for the price, but other than that it is Perfect.

The optics are really, really good. Bright and clear. It’s easy to use. It definitely minimizes my shakey hands issue. My only complaint is that occasionally it has a hard time actually acquiring the flag.

This is an excellent range finder. I have had it for a couple years and just bought another one for my pops as gift. It does everything you need it to do, is durable, and not battery intensive. It locks on to pins easily and gives you a little vibrate indication.

It reads the yardage with and with out slope at the same time which is useful when approaching greens. I highly recommend. Bang for the buck you cant beat it.

I’ve had a Golf Buddy Voice for several years but it is limited to distance to the center of the greeen. One of the individuals I’ve golfed with on occassion had a TGW Players Slope Rangefinder with Pin Validation and let me try it out.

I was impressed with the simplicity and the ease of obtaining an exact distance to the pin and others object on the course that could be used for distance. I was hooked and decided to purchase one of my own.

I have not been disappointed thus far. And you cannot be the TGW price.

Great Price, easy to use. I’m not one of those players that uses rangefinder like a tour level caddy is on my side. I really just need basic yardages to pins and distance to traps on tee. With the slope function this makes it easy and gets the job done.

There are other models that can do much more, but I have enough going in my head and this keeps it simple. Also, the pin validation with vibration is great. I usually play first thing in the AM, and after a couple of coffees, keeping finder steady can be half the battle.

I have no problem locking in yardages.

I’d never used a range finder before, just figured it was one of those things I could live without. I used GPS apps on my phone to get my yardage on the course and figured that was good enough. Having been out of the game for a while, I have gotten back into it pretty heavily this year.

I bought new irons and I go to the driving range and hit balls, but never really know how far exactly they were going. Those pins here and there or the yardage signs with 50yrd gaps between them don’t really tell you much.

So I started thinking about getting a range finder but trying to keep from spending a bundle as I’m already into new equipment about $800 this year already and headed for a divorce (kidding) I looked at some low end products that got ok reviews and decided on one particular one which was under $100.

I happened to be perusing a golf forum and one of the sub forums was equipment talk. A thread about range finders was there on the 1st page so I started reading. Many ppl there recommended PP products, and to my surprise I even saw a rep from PP personally replying to users questions.

I decided that a company that has that kind of custom service and interaction was worth me spending a little more (actually about 50% more) than I initially planned. I opted for the NX7, feeling that I didn’t need the slope adjustment as it probably would not make a huge amount of difference for me being a high handicapper.

This is a top notch range finder for alot less money than other “big name” products. The accuracy is spot on when comparing it to my phone GPS. I love the buzz/locked on feature that let’s you know when have sighted your target.

This had helped me dial in my club lengths at the range. I’d highly recommend the NX7 and PP for your golf needs.

I have a pair of very expensive European ranging binoculars that will accurately measure targets to 2000 yards and give me the sight distance (hypotenuse) and the horizontal distance (adjacent side) of the triangle created by the angle above or below horizontal.

A great tool for long-range target shooting in hilly/mountainous areas. But a lot of overkill for me on a golf course. My PrecisionPro NX7 is perfect. It is much better than my binoculars at measuring distances on a golf course.

The NX7 locks on to the flagstick – and the vibration gives me immediate feedback that I measured the distance correctly. My binoculars could be measuring something past the flag that would take me 10 strokes with a 3-wood to reach.

The point is that the NX7 is perfect without overkill. It measures to 400 yards and uses pin-seeking laser technology (TAG) to make it fast and easy to use. The vibration (PVT) combined with their TAG pin-seeking program gives an almost instantaneous distance that I have confidence in.

I can then take that accurate and precise measurement and make an informed club selection. And hit 3” behind the ball.

Just came back from my first round with my new NX7. Never had a golf watch and this was my first time trying a rangefinder ever, and I was very pleased. It was fast and easy to get both the pin and other targets on the course, and it really improved the game immensely.

The NX7 both had a clear optic and was very easy to use. The whole package with the case and rangefinder is very light, and a great addition with the carrying case is that the case can be zipped open while still being able to close the case with the strap, for fast and easy access.

I can highly recommend the NX7.

I’m a golf hack – but my son is a D3 All-American golfer in North Carolina. I needed a rangefinder and he recommended the NX2. We laughed when it came and the box said Tournament Legal since no real tournament would ever want me.

So a couple of weeks ago my son was playing in a GCAA tourney in NC and I went to watch. On the front 9 I noticed that his playing partner (a D1 player from VA) was asking for distances because his rangefinder had crapped out.

At the turn, I gave him my NX2 and he used it the rest of the day (they play 36 holes Day 1). The kid was even par with my NX2 and then went to +3 the next day when he went back to his own rangefinder.

So my review is that the NX2 is an awesome product and I have seen first-hand how it can save the day for a real tournament player.

I ordered a Bushnell and the NX2 for a Father’s Day present, to see which one was better. After taking both out on the course, my father and I agreed that the NX2 was the best choice. The NX2 has a much more comfortable eye piece, and is also lighter than the Bushnell.

It also had the same features and worked just as good, if not better than the Bushnell. And it was half the price!! We both strongly recommend the NX2 to anyone looking for a great quality, easy to use range finder.

Never really understood what else you need from a range finder besides knowing the distance to the pin. Pro NX2 locks on target very easily and is accurate. It doesn’t buzz, beep, or vibrate but does tell you how far away you are.

Really a very nice rangefinder at a great price.

This range finder is a huge disappointment. It is expensive and does not deliver. The hybrid function work but I have to charge it every 2 rounds. It is vey hard to lock on the pin when I am 150+ yard from the flag.

Sometimes it take between 5-10 tries to lock and get the distance and when the distance is close to 200 or more it won’t lock on the pin and impossible to get the distance. I have a callaway range finder that cost half and have no problem on gettting the distance even from 250-300 yards.

purchased this so did not have to wear my golf watch and to have front, back and middle distance numbers. found the unit to feel on the cheap side with no magnet to attach to the cart. and of course too big to keep in your pocket, so found I was having to continually reaching in my golf bag to get the device.

I like to pull up to the ball and look at my watch and then mentally prepare to select what club i will use (from a pace of play standpoint) what i was finding is that the whole procedure with this device was combersone and i found that i wasnt using the device and going back to my watch.

I purchased this hybrid as I was moving from a skycaddie and was tired of paying the membership fees. The Bushnell hybrid now gives me everything my skycaddie did as well as the pinpoint accuracy to the flag along with a lot more.

I now can use the app on my phone to get a flyover of the hole that I am playing which is handy when playing a new course that I am not familiar with. I can also keep my scores in the app on my phone which is nice; however, the app needs some improvement from Bushnell.

The unit works completely as expected and is very quick to give you the number you need to shoot. The jolt technology is an excellent perk to have on the unit as it gives you the confidence in the number to the flag as well as to the front and back of the green which I always find important.

Product is well made and is really light. A carrying case comes in the purchase which you can easily attach to your bag to make it easy on the course. Highly recommend to pick this unit over all others.

In the past I had purchased a rangefinder from a discount brand. I’m more of a GPS watch guy so when that rangefinder couldn’t lock on to the pin I returned it quickly. But I did like being able to shoot a yardage at the driving range, and of course it’s nice to have when I’m playing a round as well.

So this time I did my research and ended up with this great little unit. I could tell the quality right when I opened it up from the package. Just point and shoot and I get an accurate reading. Some of the longer pins I may have to shoot multiple times, but I’m always confident that I have the right yardage.

I’ve never used any of the more expensive Bushnell’s, etc. , so I can’t compare it to them. But I am very happy with this purchase. The size of this unit is probably a little smaller than most, so it seems to fit in my fingers rather than sit in the palm of my hand.

Just something to note if you’re very particular about that. It does slide in and out of the pocket I keep it in in my golf bag easily due to its size.

It works great getting the job done. Simple and easy to use. Just as good if not better than the other brands. Would recommend and buy again as the price is more reasonable than the other “high end” brands.

The L10 range finder is a decent product, but there is a basic shortcoming; sometimes it doesn’t work. Simply put, it works 80% of the time. Sometimes you can aim the laser at your flag and it works immediately and other times you receive no information (yardage to the pin) whatsoever.

No rhyme or reason.

Great Value and Good Performance. Using it for a couple of months now and the distance is as accurate as other pricier alternatives and easy to use. Tried it under the rain and no waterproofing issues.

2 years warranty gives you peace of mind over cheaper generic models. A tip would be to swap out the cheap battery that comes with it for a better battery which will last much longer. Highly Recommended!.

I have used a Bushnell Tour v3 all my golfing life. At this point in time of my golfing life, I felt it was time that i needed a rangefinder that has slope ability. After much thought put into the different brands out there, I chose the Inesis 900 Rangefinder.

I price point was a big factor, but what pushed me over the edge was the deal that they offered. It was purchase the rangefinder and get a free dozen of the Inesis 900 balls and a $20 store credit. So lets breakdown MY FEELINGS (your feelings may vary) of this product; Pros: – Very compact, lightweight, and my hand fits nicely around the item.

– The case is very rigid and allows me to configure it where placing the rangefinder in and out of the case during the round easy. The rigid case also allows the rangefinder not to be accidentally activated when stored in your golf bag.

– It has all the features that you would get in other name brands’ similar model. – Love the option to choose 3 target locator icon. – The clarity of the image through the lens is clean. Did not see any blurriness or distortion.

– Simple to use in trying to change settings. – Readings are displayed quickly. Cons: – Wish the icons when looking the lens could be a darker black. – The capture button feels a little to “easy” to push.

I wish they gave it a little more resistance when pushing this button. There were times the capture button was activated with accidental pressure from my finger resting on top of the button. – The slope activation ring around the eyepiece feels flimsy when I pull it to activate.

I feel like I might rip it off the rangefinder. – This is basically a fault of many rangefinders, but the rangefinder will not give you accurate readings when there is fog. Even if you see the flag in the viewfinder.

I have yet to try to get readings in the rain. Overall Experience: This rangefinder is a recommend from beginners to avid golfers. I was a little apprehensive in getting a brand that was a newcomer to the States, but it did not disappoint.

I got a rangefinder with the features that I wanted and saved quite a bit of money while at it. Decathlon’s customer service is top notch if there is a need for questions to be answered.
