20 Best Cheap Reading Glasses (2022 Updated)

I have been a satisfied Peepers customer for years! They have excellent products and the customer service, if you encounter a problem, is top notch. Earlier this year, I opted for another brand of readers that “seemed” similar and had a special deal on blue-blocking lenses.

These other glasses could not compare to Peepers. They were heavy, not well made and the blue filter in the lens cast a visibly blue/rainbow cast to the lenses that was visible on Zoom calls, making it difficult to see my eyes.

Now I’m back to my Peepers. I always stock up when they have a sale, as I keep spares at work, in the car, etc. This frame is comfortable and looks great!.

I love these Peepers! I lost the first pair and never could find them. We’re they heisted from me? I would not doubt it. So, I reordered. I love the color. Blue almost purple. They bring out the green in my eyes and make the whites of my eyes look brighter.

I look more awake. I usta balk at the price, but the quality upgrade from drug store readers is obvious. Having a choice in the level of magnification is an obvious bonus. So many obvious things! Who wouldn’t buy Peepers.

Quality is worth saving for if you aren’t made of money. I am not made of money. I chose Peepers.

Peepers makes it so easy to purchase. The glasses arrive promptly and packaged beautifully. Also, the value is unprecedented. I now have an assortment of different shapes and colors. At the moment, my two favorites are my “clear” and “frosted” readers.

They’re excellent and I get lots of compliments too! You’d think I owned part of the company because I refer so many people to your site.

I am death to reading glasses that I carry on my person UNTIL I tried a pair of these glasses. They are small and the case they are in hold up to being in a pocket without crushing the glasses within.

The lenses are good enough for the reading I might need while “on the go”. If there was a complaint I would have, it’s that the temple extensions aspect isn’t as robust as I might like BUT being more robust would probably negate the size and portability features.

You just have to be careful when opening/closing them. You can’t have everything, I guess. This is my third purchase from DOUBLETAKE,so this speaks for itself. The reason for this latest purchase was I wanted a little higher power, They are a good deal, and should at least be considered.

Very nice, compact reading glasses. Especially nice since they come 2 for the price of 1. The fold and unfold easily. Fit firmly without feeling like they’ll slip off. They fit very nicely in my pant’s pocket.

Compact, efficient, functional, and they come with a back up pair just in case. What’s not to like?.

The quality of these reading glasses is way better than what I was even hoping for. I love the velvety matte black texture to the case. I love the magnetic closure of the case. All the hinges on the folding glasses are nice and tight and seem like they will last.

The lenses are excellent quality too. I was a little overwhelmed, receiving quality quite a bit better than I hoped for.

This is my 2nd pair of these glasses. They are perfect for what I need, the look I like, and so comfortable and lightweight that on occasion I forgot I even had them on!! My vision is 20/20 but with aging comes presbyopia – difficulty seeing close objects clearly.

I love these “cheaters”. Little more pricey than some, but so very worth it!!.

I have these for many years and I love them. I went clear this time since my hair is not grey. I also the tortoise frames, but I went up to 1. 50 this time. It’s perfect! Many thanks, price is great and ship very quickly.

This is my third pair of Scojo Gels. I keep one pair in my purse and the other two in the house so I can find them when I need them. They are the most comfortable glasses I’ve ever worn; extremely lightweight but durable, and the nosepiece is so smooth I often forget I’m wearing them.

The size is perfect as they can be worn either all the way up or at “half-mast” for peering over. And to top it off they look great. I hope Scojo never stops making them!.

I have three of this style now. I love them. Great vision and optical quality, at a tenth of the cost of the pair of glasses I bought. Better areas of vision too. I get a lot of compliments on them, and I love the cobalt blue ones the most.

I wish they came in rose gold, but the lenses blocking the glare from electronics is HUGE when you are using a screen at work all day. Headaches stopped when I got these. Cannot say enough good things about them.

I got implanted corrective lenses put in when I had cataracts removed, so I just need reading glasses for the computer and close up. ONE pair to do it all! AND they look awesome on too. A real win/win for this great grandma.

I bought 2 pair of these before COVID confinement and then truly put them to the test during the long months of zoom meetings, computer and device reading, cooking, old school book reading, sewing, knitting – you know.

After almost 2 years of constant wear and uncoddled use, I haven’t any complaints about them. I am going to order another pair. I would urge anyone buying here to size their face and make sure that your measurements are close to your chosen glasses’ measurements, not an easy task, I know.

These frames are super lightweight and I love the tortoise – it looks so trendy. They are a very “round” shape so if you cant wear a round style, best to avoid these. I normally prefer more of a cat eye shape but these are super cute.

These have a bit of an amber-ish tint to the lens, Im assuming thats the blue light blocker. They feel like youre wearing AIR – lightweight is good if you have to be on a computer for long periods of time.

Love these glasses. Ive tried dozens of readers on in the last two years and these are my faves. Theyre gorgeous. I love the lensestheyre anti-glare for the computer but crisp and clear to see through when I step away from it.

I normally dont post “face shots” but its always hard to tell how big the glasses really are. I have a smaller head circumference and smaller features (56″ and 120 lbs. to give you an idea of my size).

These are well worth twenty dollars. They dont come with a case or lens cloth, fyi.

They reflect my monitor when Im on zooms – I worry folks can see me multi-tasking during meetings! Nice shape, nice quality. Just wish they werent so reflective. Kind of a reflective blue coating on the lenses.

Love the size and reading quality. I honestly wish I had these for my prescription glasses So I can wear them all the time.

These are truly revolutionary. Not only will you see the world clearly; the world will look at you differently. I get so many comments about these things. Buying them is worth it just to make new friends! They also work brilliantly.

I keep mine on a colour matched yanyard around my neck. My advice is buy them. You know you want to!.

The glasses come out of the case sometimes while in your pocket or pulling them out of your pocket. They also slip and dont stay in place on your nose. Not impressed at all. The concept of this product is great, but the execution is not.

Dont waste your money.

Easy to stash away in a pocket or inside jacket pocket with no bulk! Perfect for occasional use when looking at menus or reading emails on small phone screen.

First, let me say I was reeled into this choice by the color of gray but I purchased because of the progressive readers option! I have so many pairs of glasses ordered online, and I like them for their fabulous frames!!! BUT I have never seen progressives that I could order online using only my reader strength.

It is wonderful to leave my glasses on throughout most of the day. I removed my glasses constantly throughout my entire waking day. They were tight on my head when I took them off my face and in danger of breaks or scratches when laying on a table.

These progressives fit well on my face, which thrilled me, and on my head when rarely needed, Hehehe Thank you so, so much! I’ve worn progressives since 1990 and these compare favorably with lenses costing hundreds of dollars more.

You won’t be sorry with the lenses, AND, I just love the gray!!!!.

I am here to just say that if you are on the fence regarding trying out LookOptic readers — fear not! These are first class readers sold by a first class organization. The fact is that I decided to return my readers, despite them functioning fine as readers.

I was just not thrilled with the non reader part of the lenses. The frames were excellent. Very comfortable. Got many compliments whilst donning them. Returning them could not have been easier. I made sure to keep all the packing materials and associated stuff delivered with the glasses.

The moment the USPS picked up my return, I got an instant refund on my charge card by LookOptic. I will probably repurchase the readers, just because I have since tried out higher end readers from other sources.

I’m new to wearing progressive lenses. It has been a bit of challenge to find a pair that fits my needs, my style and we’re comfortable. The Cosmo are perfect for me! They are very stylish with beautiful color choices.

What I really enjoyed was that I didn’t need to spend a week or so adjusting to them. After about 2-3 days, I felt that I had adjusted to these progressives. My other pair from another eyeglass company have never quite worked for me and still make me nauseous when trying to use them.

Perhaps I’m lucky with the Cosmo style for whatever reason but I really can’t say enough good things about them.

These readers are really nice. They fold up flat for convenience and come in a little box so you can keep them in your purse without getting scratches. I thought the price was good, too. The only problem is the +2.

00 magnification was too strong for me. I find this can be true for some readers. I am going to try to get them in a lower magnification.

I love these Readers! These are very well made and the lenses are very clear. These fold flat and fit perfect in the case. Very good quality. I am going to buy a couple more and put them away so I’ll always have a pair.

I’m so in love with these cat eye frames that I bought FOUR in three different colors. They’re sturdy, sassy, and pretty all at once. It’s great to have readers that don’t make me look cranky and decrepit.

I am enjoying my readers from 2SeeLife–wish they could fulfill my lens prescription for progressives. I get many compliments from the items I’ve purchased from 2SeeLife. Also impressed with their customer service and fast delivery.

The overall style of both pair of glasses is exactly what I wanted. I absolutely love the look with the shape of my face. Unfortunately, both pair make me nauseous. I’m going to replace the lenses with my prescription.

I’m not sure if this is engineered by Foster Grant to sell more glasses, but I have now owned two pairs of these readers (Men’s Kramer eReaders 2. 0x). The frame is plastic, and both pairs have now cracked for no reason.

I treat my glasses as about as delicate as I can. I keep them in the soft case when I am not wearing them. I bought the second pair after the frame cracked on the first pair, and now the frame on the second pair just cracked yesterday.

Very frustrating! I like the way these look, fit my face, and eases the strain on my eyes from staring at computer screens, tablets, and smart phones all day. Not sure I will purchase a third pair knowing that the frame could crack again at any given time unexpectedly.

Not sure what they are using today but the frames cracked from very light usage. Only thing i did was clean with clothe provided. Both sides eventually went. I had some jb weld and fixed on side a month later the other side went.

They cracked at same location on frame which tells me it’s a design flaw and cheap plastic. I won’t by again. Also sheds this clear coat paint/skin.

I have bought dozens of other reading glasses (including Foster Grant). The new eReader by FG are the best so far. I bough the ‘Kramer’ style. They are a bit pricy but the features and quality of the lenses are fantastic.

I know it’s sounds a little silly getting excited about reading glasses but a my age anything that improves my daily life is good. The Foster Grant ‘Kramer’s also come with a soft case and a lens cleaning cloth.

I bought the eReaders at a large supermarket chain for the same price as online. So buy these wherever you can find them. But do buy a pair. You’ll be happy you did.

I got my reading glasses this week I really like them not the case tho. The cost was great the best price I’ve ever found. they fit great on my nose to. I wish we could pick the color tho. I wanted blue.

I was so excited to receive these until they came in the mail. First off they took 2 weeks to deliver so if you are needing them soon this is not the pair to get. Secondly the quality of these glasses is horrible.

For $50 I was expecting at least half way decent quality but they feel cheaper than dollar store frames. The Lens itself is no where near as big as they seem in the pictures. The frame is a lot thinner in person.

Overall these glasses were not worth the money.

These ARE honestly the best readers I have ever owned , very easy to use and very well built. I was amazed at the quality of the glasses , and the storage case is a clever design !! Should last for quite awhile !!.

Love these glasses. I buy all of my readers from Loft. These are lightweight but don’t easily scratch. I have purchased much more expensive brands but always come back to these as favorites. I love this style!.

The look and fit are fantastic, price was good, and durability seems to be good. Lenses are cheap and murky/ unclear to look through. They do proved the needed magnification but the lens material is not crisp and clear to look through.

Attractive style, but after wearing a while, they hurt my head above the ears. Unfortunately, I don’t see any way to adjust the fit, so I need to alternate wearing them with other glasses.

I absolutely love these glasses. People told me not to use readers get my eyes done at dr. I did and my expensive glasses r terrible I can not get use to them. Back to these awesome glasses! Clear I’ve worn these for yrs!.

These glasses are very cheaply made. I’ve tried cleaning them with every screen, glass, window and soap and water and the lenses are EXTREMELY difficult to clear. Very dissatisfied with this purchase

What I love about these is that they are so inexpensive! I got two different strengths depending on the situation. Great if you tend to lose your reading glasses as I do. I’ve got lots of pairs now. And they’re attractive.

I don’t actually need glasses however, I use these glasses for when I’m studying late a night and the light from my laptop or my phone hurts my eyes. I highly recommend these glasses even if you don’t need glasses.

I bought a pair of glasses incredibly similar to these, Amelia E. Addis, so similar they used the same male model image for both pairs. I love the Amelia glasses and highly recommend their brand if youre looking to save a few extra dollars!.

I had defaulted to wire rim glasses over the years, but was constantly pushing them up on my nose on the golf course. These glasses fit tight but don singleqoute t hurt. They stay up great.

I guess for an off the shelf pair of reading glasses, you can’t expect too much. They seem rather flimsy and it’s hard to keep the glass or plastic lens clean. They’re not quite wide enough either.

Enjoying these readers! I saw that the store had these readers in store and thought it would be nice to grab a pair I was needing while shopping for my computer needs. Thanks for being a one stop shop Office Depot! Very nice array of products.

Great purchase. Nice glasses for a fraction of the cost. This way I can keep my nice Oakley ones at home.
