In general, a cheap rifle scope is one that is relatively low in cost and offers basic features and functionality. Such scopes are typically suitable for entry-level shooters or those on a tight budget.
While they may not offer the same level of performance and features as more expensive models, they can still be perfectly adequate for many users.

Looking for Riflescope Accessories? Barska 3in. 42mm Varmnt Shade, Black delivers great quality for a great price. All of the features you need for a price you want from Barska. Don’t look further for Riflescope Accessories.
Barska 3in. 42mm Varmnt Shade, Black has everything you’ve been looking for.
Great price, great quality, early delivery, perfect fit. I have a BSA 8. 5-24x40mm creedmoor sweet series scope, and couldn’t find a shade that was priced reasonably, or threaded to the size that would match my scope.
If you own a BSA scope and are questioning the fit, look no further, the Barska varmint series sun shade was the absolute best choice, and most precise match for my BSA scope. Very pleased customer!!.
While the quality is good and shipping was fast the size is all wrong. It says 42mm, the scope measures 42mm but the shade measures 53. 24mm. Ask lots of questions before ordering and measure the internal threads carefully.
Thanks fits My CenterPoint Illuminated 4-16 x 40mm Long Range Scope Perfect ! It reduces glare and improves my sight picture on sunny days. This is especially important when shooting directly into the sunrise or sunset.
Etched glass reticles. Expandable 3-arbor and fixed 15-arbor sets available with a deluxe carrying case. 50 caliber to 12 gauge expandable arbor also available. The magnetic bore sighter with its revolutionary design eliminates the need for arbors and magnetically attaches to the muzzle to facilitate a quick sighting in for all calibers and firearms.
It arrived and I used it on a red dot for a 45acp. It was set slightly to the left so once the dot was set up at range. I tested again on same pistol and had to file magnet on one side slightly to align on that bore to hit center on on bores site tool.
The Buckmasters Rangefinder and Riflescopes were inspired by Jackie Bushman to bring the performance of SIG SAUER Electro-Optics at a value that is within reach for every hunter. The riflescopes feature a custom Buckmasters Bullet Drop Compensation (BDC) reticle that has holdover dots out to 500 yards.
The rangefinder will provide lightning-fast ranging performance in a vivid red illuminated display optimized for low-light hunting. As an extra value, the rangefinder can be used in “Buckmasters Mode” which comes equipped with 8 onboard ballistic groups, so the rangefinder can indicate which Buckmasters BDC holdover dot to use in your riflescope.
It ranges well and it’s nice to have the red display, but I found unless you turn the brightness down quite a bit, it washes the image out since it is backlit and not red oled. I had a sig kilo1800bdx that I should have never gotten rid of.
This is not a kilo! It feels much cheaper and the washing out issue is not apparent in the kilos. Great cheap rangefinder but I ended up buying a kilo again and selling this one.
The Mil-Hash reticle works in tandem with the Mil-Base riflescope reticle, which helps speed up the zeroing process. Twist-up eyecups Picatinny rail mounts Mil-Hash reticle Rainguard HD This patented, permanent, water-repellent coating causes moisture from rain, snow, sleet and condensation to bead up and scatter less light, so you get a clear, bright view when other optics would be rendered useless.
Fully-multi Coated Optics All air-to-glass surfaces feature multiple layers of anti-reflective coating. Fully multi-coated optical systems deliver the brightest, highest-contrast images with the least amount of eye strain because only a very small percentage of light is lost before it reaches the viewer’s eye.
Waterproof/fogproof Products are O-ring sealed and nitrogen purged for total waterproof and fogproof protection. These models can withstand complete immersion in water and stay dry inside. The interior optical surfaces won’t fog due to rapid temperature change or humidity.
PC-3 Phase Coating A chemical coating applied to the prisms to enhance resolution and contrast for the brightest and clearest images possible. Ultra Wide Band Coating An anti-reflection coating process that is customized for every lens element in the optical path, in order to allow the best possible light from the front glass all the way back to the eyepiece.
The result? Optimum brightness and true color across the light spectrum. ED Prime Glass ED Prime Extra-Low Dispersion fluorite glass delivers amazing color resolution and contrast and virtually eliminates chromatic aberration and color-fringing to bring out the most distinct details possible in low-light conditions.
First impression is a lasting impression! I was looking for this spotting scope platform based on price and features for long range shooting. Product arrived timely and packaged well. The scope has a heavy duty feeling.
A nice rubberized coating gives it a military spec feel. The addition of the picatinny rails are nice. I decided to mount a low cost red dot sight to aid in target acquisition while zoomed at 45X. This helps.
Optical clarity is what one may expect at this price point. It does what’s necessary but isn’t as clear as some other manufactures. But, it’s $500-$1K less than others. The scope has a front lens cap and rear cap to protect the glass from dust, debris and other environmental conditions.
The from cap has a loop to possibly attach a lanyard, however no lanyard was included. The rear eyepiece cover is a basic rubber cover without any method of attaching a lanyard. I foresee this easily getting lost.
The only issue I’ve had is the case which accompanied the scope. The Velcro stitching holding the lens flap has already failed. It failed the very same day the spotting scope arrived. I contacted customer care who after 4 days has failed to contact me back.
In addition to that failure the scope case seems almost too small for the scope. Manipulation of the zoom and focus are cumbersome when used with the case. With the case failure and poor attention to detail, I’m concerned this is a reflection of Bushnell’s overall quality for this product.
It’s left a level of doubt in consumer confidence if this product will actually hold up to basic outdoor activities and if I will have other issues with warranty repair or replacement. I really want to like this spotting scope but based on the lack of response from Bushnell for the case replacement, I’m considering returning the scope and searching for another suitable setup.
Minimize glare and reflections from the sun in the lens of your Vortex Viper rifle binoculars, by mounting this sunshade at the end of your binoculars. The sunshade is easily screwed on the binoculars and easily turned off again.
This was not the same OD as the objective of the scope. It is smaller and I had to use a Buttler Creek 39 cover that fit tight on it. The one for the scope won’t fit it is too big. It is of good quality but, should be the same size as the scope.
I have the 6. 5-20X50 scope and the 30mm level. this really helped shade it for long shots in the sun.
The cover is great quality but it is a smaller outside diameter than the scope. I’ve discussed this with Vortex before and wish they would change. You must have 2 different sized covers, 1 for the scope, another for the shade.
For 8. 5-10. 5″ Riflescopes, For 39 mm Objective Bells, Helps to Prevent Corrosion, Water- and Fogproof, Made from Soft Breathable Fabric. Protect your riflescope from dust dirt and moisture with the Burris Optics Rifle Scope Cover.
This cover will fit riflescopes with length of 8. 5-10. 5 and 39 mm objective bells. The pouch is made from soft and waterproof fabric and will help you to keep your optic corrosion-free.
What better cover for a Burris scope than a Burris scope cover? A quality Burris product! Note: The Large fits my Fullfield E1 4. 5-14X42. I don’t think a Medium would fit! I give it five stars, quality product, perfect.
I will order this product again. And that is my highest recommendation.
I have Leopold, crooked creek and now Burris scope covers. They other two are neoprene, while this is micro fleece. I have it on a 3x9x40 Fullfield II and it fits good. (Medium size) I actually like it better than the others as long as it is truly waterproof.
As long as it holds up and it appears it will I would recommend this product.
I love these Burris scope covers. Most of my rifles are wearing one, regardless of the brand of scope. Keeps dust off lens – easy on and off, and affords some protection from safe bumps when moving rifles around.
This compact, two-step LensPen has a natural hair brush which is fully retractable for protection when not in use. A clean brush is key because it is the first thing to touch the lens. The microfiber cleaning tip automatically replenishes itself with a state-of-the-art dry cleaning compound.
Compact and ergonomic, it is great for your workbench, the range, or in the field.
I recently bought some very good binos and scope so I wanted to protect the lens. My old ones had spots all over from using cotton balls. This product does the job and it does not leave a mark and your glass does not develop spots.
I actually lost my lenspen on a recent elk hunt but I bought another as soon as I got home. I will not be without a lenspen from now on.

I purchased my camo roll to cover my scope, scope rings, tripod, and bipod. Came out very nice. Great product. Now those wiley coyotes won’t pick up anything shining in the sun. Thanks. Will order again when needed.
looks great, easy application. I’ve used this product before and always had good success. I especially like the fact that you can change patterns easily and it doesn’t leave any residue on the stock when removed.
The Barska 20-60×60 Waterproof Colorado Spotting Scope is designed with multicoated optics in a rugged weather sealed housing. The wide zoom range makes this optical device ideal for hunting and bird watching, as well as spotting at the rifle range and even lunar observations.
Use the 20x magnification to survey the entire landscape, then zoom to higher magnification and focus on fine details. Colorado spotting scopes use multicoated lenses and BK-7 Porro prisms to transmit bright, contrast-rich images with sharp detail even in low-light conditions.
Weather seals, straight-body design and grooved zoom dial ensure this spotting scope will deliver a comfortable long-term viewing experience for years to come.
It seems well built, and looks like a item of higher quality than what it actually is. Its probably because i expected to much of this, being from the cheaper side of scopes and all. i should have known better, optics and things of this nature are a prime example of “you get what you pay for”.
It’s not powerful enough for me, the eye relief is pretty bad, and if you try to zoom in on your target more that 100yrds away, well good luck, I was better off just squinting my eyes real hard. Luepold, or nikon will be my next.
I was looking for an inexpensive spotting scope that I could take into the field and not worry about getting knocked around. After reading the reviews here and setting it up at over 200 yards, I was impressed with how sharp and clear the images are.
We had no problem spotting. 22 caliber shot placement and love how smooth the focusing controls are to operate. It came with a mini-tripod for bench shooting and a convenient protective carry case so I can throw it into the gear bag with no worries.
The universal mounting hub also made it easy to use with my recycled 35mm camera tripod (see Honey, I told you not to throw it away. I knew it would be useful for something again one day (thanx Barska).
This spotting scope is surprisingly light weight which was an unexpected bonus especially considering the sharpness of the imagery. It’s always nice to find an item that gives you more than your money’s worth and this Barska spotting scope is a real value with more beneficial features as compared to EVERY OTHER spotting scope I looked at.
some costing 3 and 4 times as much. I would highly recommend this item to anyone looking for a high quality inexpensive spotting scope.
I wanted a fairly decent scope for the range that was not going to put me in the poor house and I decided on this scope after looking at prices and recommendations. This scope is good for a person firing at 100 yard target.
It is easy to acquire and focus in and can see where the bullet impacted on the target itself. This will save you time in walking out to the target. If you want to use it for two hundred yards or greater it not much use.
Though you can see the target you cannot distinguish where the bullets have impacted. Stand is steady and it is light weight, fits in my 16 inch range bag easily. I like that it is fogless and water proof.
Due to their design, honeycomb sunshades are a fraction of the length of regular sunshades, only 9mm deep. The other key advantage is they stop any reflections from the objective lens reaching the game, making the scope more covert in a hunting situation.
Compatible with 2015 collection onwards. Please note, honeycomb sunshades are not compatible with the Frontier 30 range, XB/XB1 crossbow scopes or 24mm objectives.
This set features mid-CG carry handle, flip-open dope-card viewer and split hook-and-loop latches on the scope cover allowing use with a variety of weapon configurations. Hook-and-loop latches inside the split crown protector provide a snug fit for a variety of barrel sizes and front sight configurations, and its adjustable to all barrel lengths.
I purchased two of these before going on a 3 day hog hunt in Texas. Everyone else was dealing with opening, closing and stacking hard cases as we came in and out of the field. My rifles were just wrapped in the scope cover and crown cover.
I was able to put my rifles down wherever worked without having to deal with a hard case at all the entire time I was there. They also make it easy to carry your rifle in the field before you are ready to start hunting.
hiking into your starting point. I just hope they are in stock soon so I can pick up a few for Christmas presents.
Bought a eberlestock scope cover crown protector a few yrs back. Since then I have purchased two more for different personal rifles and a third for my issued duty rifle. They are very well made. The side pockets are great for hard copy dope cards and Allen wrench for scope zero stop adjustments.
I stuff the crown protector inside the scope cover in the field and use it as a rear bag when shooting prone. My rifle wears one everywhere it goes.
I’m impressed with this. I bought it for a long-range rifle that I only use for target shooting. I’ve spent enough money on the scope, that I thought it might be a good idea to protect it. The construction of this thing is like everything else Eberlestock makes – quality.
The three straps fit well, and can be adjusted, so no matter what rig you might be looking at, this will fit it. The scope I have is very long, and this still covers the entire length of the scope. The padding is nice, though its not overly padded.
Fit was good and it does it job but it shouldnt cost $50 for a small piece of aluminum. Meopta should’ve included this with their scopes. But overall, im satisfied. 3 stars because of the how much it cost.
When shooting in bright conditins like sunshine, over snow or over water, sunshades reduce glare and help to cut down on internal reflections. Features/Specifications: Due to their design, honeycomb sunshades are a fraction of the length of regular sunshades, only 9mm deep.
Compatible with 2015 collection onwards. Please note, flip-up covers are not compatible with Frontier 30 SF and Frontier 30 riflescopes or XB/XB1 crossbow scopes.
