20 Best Cheap Ultrasonic Cleaner (2022 Updated)

The machine works. But there was no timer, no off switch. Push the on button, it works for 4 minutes and then turns itself off automatically. The little level on top of the lid, used to open the lid fell off due to insufficient glue.

I had to use superglue to stick it back in place. For $16, I supposed one can’t ask for too much. This is more toy-like than serious machine.

Looked up specs & buyer’s guides, and chose this one for the money. I don’t need steam like a jewelry cleaner or a water heater because I can just use hot water- In fact, after an hour or so, it heats up to 140 degrees by itself.

So, this basic unit has done better tan I hoped so far, getting polishing compound off of Aluminum parts in no time using just a 1/2 Oz. of Simple Green w/the water. I have Zero complaints. It is also used to clean airbrushes by many folks, and I’ll need that soon also so all the better.

I always pick nits if there are any since I’m a critical SOB and this time I can’t- Very pleased with it.

I’m disappointed that this electric jewelry cleaner said it cleaned silver, brass, gold, etc. which I assumed included if these items were TARNISHED. However, it does not. If you have any of these precious metals that are TARNISHED or DISCOLORED you must clean the item up FIRST.

This is a fun and well made gadget. It makes my wedding ring shine with just a drop of dish soap and water. I also use it on my nightguard, eye glasses, and it works wonders on a reusable filter for pod coffee makers.

It cleans the gunk out of crevices. The only thing I don’t like is how the water empties. The cord and buttons seem waterproof, but filling and emptying gets a little messy. It’s well worth it, though.

I replaced things from time to time and give it to my beautiful daughter’s and this is one of it. they do have jewelry well not more than me. but they love that I always keep my jewelry so clean and shining I wanted to replaced the machine I had for the 2nd time and both another two of the same brand, and I’m in love with this one great value and do a great job and most importantly my jewelries look amazing.

This machine works great and I’m very impressed. I chose this one based on features, reviews and price. I used to soak my jewelery in hot water and ammonia, then clean using a toothbrush. This machine does a far better job.

I add a drop of Dawn dishwashing liquid to the water and after a cycle or two, my jewelry sparkles and the gunk behind the stones is gone. I highly recommend it. I hope this machine lasts a long time.

It cleans jewelry, small parts, and whatever else you can fit in there very efficiently and effectively. I had the same model for a couple of decades before it died after lots of regular use. So it is a great buy for a small workhorse.

Very well constructed machine performs flawlessly! This should last us a long time. Kimco provided us with quick shipping of the Branson B200 and it arrived in perfect condition.

Was looking for an ultrasonic cleaner for my retainers and my husband’s night guard. I checked on the different models and wanted something that would be made well and last. I really like it; very easy to use and our dental appliances come out nice and clean.

Would buy this again.

Just got the cleaner today. I couldn’t wait to start cleaning my jewelry, which I did all afternoon 🙂 It works very well which was apparent by the crud left in the bottom. I’ve wanted one of these for years so when it went on sale I grabbed it! Even worked great on my glasses.

So, it does seem to work great cleaning wise which is the most important part of this purchase. However I am having major difficulty with the “prong” open/shut button. It is so cheap and doesn’t connect correctly.

Half the time it takes me longer getting the lid to stay shut than it does to clean the jewelry. Once finished I have issues getting it to open. For what I was expecting quality to be I was definitely disappointed.

I would not purchase this again.

Received as a gift, and read instructions carefully. Instruction booklet recommended purchasing and adding their SparklePak Plus packet cleaning solution for best results. Suggestion to GemOro Co: Include a sample of the aforementioned with the cleaner.

Used water alone on a sterling necklace with two charms. Results after a 3 minute cleaning process: Ultrasonic sound waves and water alone did not remove the tarnish on the charms. Perhaps results would have been more positive if the cleaning solution was included with the product and added to the water.

Achieved better results and more sparkle with my liquid jewelry cleaner. Will give it another try after cleaning solution is purchased.

I have had the Sparkle Spa for about a month and somewhat by accident found that where I place my jewelry in the bath makes a huge difference. A couple of times I placed rings on the sides rather than the center area, and the gem (a large sapphire) in one ring did not clean well at all.

When I placed that ring in the center area of the basket, the gem sparkled and was beautifully clear when the cycle completed. It looked just like it was cleaned professionally at the jewelry store. I did find the same problem as another reviewer, which is that the lid does not come up when the button is pressed.

I have to pull it up with my fingernail. A nuisance but something I will live with. Overall, great cleaning for a reasonable price.

This cleaner/steamer is just like having your own personal jeweler in your home! It cleans just like you had taken your precious jewels to the jewelers to have them cleaned! They really sparkle. The machine is very easy to operate, takes up minimal counter space, and stores the assessories in a compact design.

Well worth the money and would make an excellent gift for your mom or grandmother! Now I can clean my jewelry on a weekly basis and never leave home to do so. I purchased a less expensive ultrasonic cleaner without the steamer and did not get the sparkle like I do with this product.

I did a lot of research before buying this jewelry steam/sonic cleaner. I am crazy about the sparkle I get when my jeweler cleans my rings and was hoping for a similar result at home. This product far surpassed my expectations.

My rings came out looking just as good as if they were professionally cleaned. I know this is a bit more than the other cleaners on the market but it produces wonderful results. Go for it!.

The build quality appears good and the appearance is attractive enough, it looks a little like a coffee machine so would look good if left out in the kitchen. Unfortunately as its made for US market it needs a 110v electricity supply rather than our UK usual 240v.

It seemed like a simple step down transformer would sort it out but the stress that the sudden burst of energy needed to create the steam put on the transformer was too much and it started smoking. So I either need to get an expensive industrial grade step down transformer or give up.

I would expect an item available for shipping to the UK to also be usuable here so Im a bit miffed at the lack of advance warning of the difficulty, I wouldnt have purchased had I known there would be a substantial further spend needed to get it working.

I cant vouch for how well it cleans but it appears it would do a decent job.

I bought this sonic cleaner to use with Retainer Brite. It’s a nifty little device for getting your retainer cleaner to work more effectively. The device is actually more of a light grayish purple in person than white, but that’s probably a good thing since the plastic is less likely to yellow or discolor.

The dark cup is removable for easy cleaning and you can feel it snap in to fit securely with the main body. It does come with a suction cup on the bottom to stop it from moving around on your counter when it’s on, but I always just put a hand towel under it when I’m using it since I don’t like to leave it sitting out on the counter after I use it.

It’s relatively quiet – about 1/3 as loud as my countertop Waterpik. It comes with two disposable AA batteries you need to operate it. You do have to manually shut it off, but I don’t mind that since I think auto-shutoff would make it more tempting to leave or forget my retainers in there for more than the 15 minutes I typically clean them every morning.

I’ve only used this device for two weeks and don’t have any complaints. I hope it lasts for a while, but I’m glad it isn’t too expensive to replace if it ends up dying.

We have this ultrasonic unit and the Retainer Brite. They’re just what we needed for grfather and grdaughter. She is a special needs kiddo, and isn’t fond of the oral hygiene issues that prevail with retainers which she wears during sleep.

These u. sonic & tablet products work wonderfully as time management is the key for optimum results at our home. This is how it works (and maybe can for you if you’re squeezed for time): She uses Aquafina bottled water to just “rinse” the retainers at the sink in the morning and “soak” them during the day in the single blue container.

This Aquafina water is best for this type of presoak because we test it to be 0%. just like the Zero Water that we also use for our water kettle and for drinking. NO calcium buildup or corrosion-causing effect on anything! After school, she uses the warm tap water/Brite tablet/U.

Sonic Container – with auto turn off – per product instructions, while she unpacks and gets resettled. Her iPod is set to match the 15 mins. alarm, so she can independently retrieve the sparkling items, rinse and store them for the night use.

Before buying these products, I daily cleaned with a small soft t. brush, a dab of Palmolive soap, cold tap water, then soaked them in the filtered water mentioned above. Annoying! Grfather was using the same old routine for his orthodontics, and has been thrilled with these (shared) products.

Warm tap water/a Bright tablet/Sonic Cleaner with the auto shutoff = a Done Deal. He loves the Cleanse Freshen Go wipes which he keeps on hand, daily, as needed. Ha! Today I’ve purchased his very own products = one happy woman (me).

I am a senior citizen who redid her long ago braces for cosmetic reasons. Happy with the end result; but as we all know you must wear the retainer to keep your teeth straight. I was doing this and brushing the retainer, sometimes cleaning with diluted peroxide and water, or mouthwash for it to sit in after cleaning, or diluted white vinegar.

All helped for a time, but eventually the retainer just didn’t feel clean. I read the reviews on this cleaner and thought “not much to lose” and ordered it along with 2 years supply of the tablets. Using it religiously and VERY HAPPY with it.

It performs exactly as stated. I watched for it to walk on the counter and it didn’t, so no problem there. It is so easy to set it up and have it running as you make the bed and get dressed in the morning and putting on your face.

Rinse, dry and put away as you are tidying up the bathroom and don’t give it another thought until the next morning. PERFECT! Wish I would have started with this cleaning solution to begin with. The cleaner is not too noisy, you are just aware that it is running.

Unfortunately, the ultrasonic cleaner died after 5 cleaning cycles. We wanted a replacement, but Amazon and eBay are full of the same Chinese junk. It looks like one design/model that gets rebranded ad infinitum.

On the good side of things, the price and features were good. The timer was useful and the heater was very useful. The cleaner was enough to bring a carburetor for a snow thrower back to life, but we have another carburetor for a generator we need to clean.

The failure mode we experienced. the timer stopped counting down after about 50 seconds, and the agitation stopped working. It looks like the heating element survived. So the machine would turn on and run, start counting down at 480 seconds, and then freeze at 430 seconds.

There was no agitation, but the water and solution heated up. If you are serious about a desktop ultrasonic cleaner, you need a more expensive Branson, Elma or SharperTek. They will set you back $500 to $900.

It is too bad the companies do not build a house brand for Harbor Freight. Branson, Elma and SharperTek would provide a very high value house brand for Harbor Freight.

The unit works great,. when it works. If you are planning to use this regularly you need to use it in an airconditioned room. If used in a garage or outdoors it shuts itself off because it overheats.

I placed it on top of a floor vent and it runs fine cycle after cycle. If I use it outside it shuts off within two minutes! It also gives me error code 1 and 2 but the manual does not say what these codes mean! It will display the error code but I can still start the ultrasonic cycle, it just wont let the heater stay on.

Maybe another thermal protection? It would be nice if the manual for the product explained the trouble codes. Whoever designed the machine didn’t think about the fact that you have to lift the parts out of the machine that are dripping with cleaning solution.

This drips right on to the buttons that are not waterproof! Great way to destroy the electronics/controls. Take some cling wrap and tape it over the buttons. Considering the price, especially with a coupon, its a decent little cleaner.

Just a PITA to deal with if you use it regularly.

Purchased this unit a short time back, and tried it out almost immediately on some small parts I wanted to clean. I thought it did a pretty nice job of cleaning. After thoroughly reading the instruction manual, setup and operating the unit was very easy.

Although the instructions don’t specifically say, you should be able to use virtually any water-safe cleaning fluid that you can think of, and in any concentration that you wish. It has five selectable cleaning cycles that range from 90 seconds to 480 seconds.

It also has a heat function to heat the fluid, although I didn’t try it out. Coming with an extremely nice, heavy-duty, detachable power cord, and encased in a very attractive outer plastic shell & lid, this unit not only met but quite pleasantly exceeded my expectations of tool purchases in quite some time now.

I just hope it lasts for a long time.

I ordered this product to daily clean my retainers (not dentures). I also order the cleaning tablets. After several uses, I noticed that my retainers still required brushing with toothbrush and tooth paste and/or baking soda.

The tablets and product did not clean my retainers as necessary. I was disappointed. The product is nice and convenient but only wish it would really clean the lite amount of plaque off my retainers.

Brushed my dentures for years. A black line developed under a tooth that couldn’t be soaked or cleaned away. This little gizmo took several cleanings but it’s gone!!! Was considering a costly replacement.

It’s easier and better than speaking and brushing. Mouth feels cleaner instantly. Even like the powdered cleaner.

This product delivered the results I purchased it for. My dentist is no longer a part of my insurance provider network so I was unable to have my scheduled dental exam. Then the corona virus shut down many dentist office.

While searching for a new dentist calcium deposits built up on my lower denture. Since using the cleaner the calcium deposits are now gone. Very satisfied with this product.

We use this unit to clean circuit boards, although before doing that I tried it with some dishes! For cleaning circuit boards it does a good job. We use it filled with methylated spirits, but this is against recommendations, so try at your own risk! Board orientation makes a difference to the clean, as does length of soak beforehand and length of active clean, so lots of trial and error involved in ending up with a good clean.

I tested the earthing on the unit before using, and it came up good. The heater in it is pretty useless, though. The liquid heats up about as much by just using the ultrasonics as it does with the heater.

To heat from room temperature (25 deg C or so) to 50 deg C took hours. If you need hot water you’re better off heating it externally first. So we do get a good clean on our boards, but it took more learning than anticipated.

I don’t think this is any fault with the unit, just a fact of life. As for the dishes experiment, I wouldn’t be replacing your current dishwasher with this unit! It will clean your dishes, but with painstaking effort, time and skill on your part!.

I’m very happy with the ultrasonic bath. It has exceeded my expectations. I’m using it for mountain bike parts which I used to spend hours scrubbing and now they’re spotless in a matter of minutes. The build quality seems really good.

I use plastic tubs to put the parts in to save getting the bath itself mucky. Works really well and I would highly recommend it.

I cleaned my glasses every day with windex. I thought every day that my glasses were clean. The first time I put my glasses in this cleaner, the water was black. Didn’t know they were so dirty, because everyday I cleaned them This is so easy to use.

Add water, put you glasses in the basket, and turn the cleaner on for 5, 10 or 15 minutes. You can see the light through the glass top. When the machine stops, take your glasses out, rinse under water.

Wipe the glasses and your done. My sight is so much better with really clean glasses. I usually change the water every 2-3 days as there is more than myself that use this machine.

I watched the video and thought this will be perfect to keep my jewelry sparkly and new. I found out the hard way that it was not the answer to my prayers on watchbands. i followed the instructions, rewatched the videos, and placed my fossil watch on the included accessory for such.

The watchband was immersed, the watch face above the action. It looked beautiful until later that afternoon I noticed the face was foggy and had stopped working. Condensation led to water droplets. and needless to say the Fossil is ruined.

/ Throw the watch tray away and just do your hard pieces. I would recommend it with a warning, but then it seems like a wonky gift. okay for a self-gift.

This was a great investment. 3 minutes of soaking vs endless spraying and wiping with a cloth only to have streaks that don’t disappear. Very pleased with our purchase. Sparkling clean glasses!

I read about this machine on probrewer. com. Needing something to clean my carbonation stones, I decided to follow the advice of a fellow brewer who had found this machine useful and reliable. While I’ve only had it for a week or so, it has so far lived up to the very high expectations set by the brewer’s recommendation.

I can’t believe the improvement I have seen in the carb stones! Moreover, I was so impressed with the cleaning power that I decided to try it out on other things: butterfly valves, tri-clamp clamps, other stainless parts.

They all look (and function) as if brand new. Couldn’t be happier!.

I was also considering one of similar size that also had a drain valve. I’m glad i decided with this one. A protruding valve would have been out of place and make storing the unit more difficult. It’s very light weight so it’s nothing to just pick it up and dump it.

Quiet operation. I am a fan of the dual LCD’s for each operation (heat/timer). meaning it shows SET temperature and current temperature ( with blinking for not up to temp. yet) and it also shows SET minutes and countdown and the same time.

The heat function can be used independently of the oscillation. unpluggable cord allows for more convenient storage inside the unit. the basket seems to be fine, may want to purchase smaller basket for fine jewelry.

no problems with shipping and packaging was superb.

We’ve had a small ultrasonic cleaner for clipper blades, etc. for a couple years, but this was our first foray into having one for our surgical instruments. The Digital Pro 3L cleaner has plenty of capacity to fit even our longest clamps and hooks, runs efficiently, and leaves the instruments more sparkling clean than they’ve been since they were new.

Our staff have all noticed how much brighter the metal looks afterwards, and a magnified inspection of the hinges and grooves reveals a marked improvement in cleanliness, too. The unit can be a bit loud when operating on a hard surface, so I’d suggest a rubber or foam mat, or a towel, underneath to absorb some of the vibration noise.

Other than that minor issue, we’re extremely satisfied with the performance and value.

Good size for jewelry and silverware: important to read directions carefully before plugging in and unplugging or you’ll ruin the machine; be careful not to overdue the time. start at 1 minute and increase as needed.

Use room temperature water, but if needed add alittle detergent (no solvents). Use a soft toothbrush to clean if very dirty, and reclean as needed.

This sounded like a great concept until I read all the detailed info included. It cannot handle so many things that it just isn’t a value to me and I will have to return it. For instance, it cannot handle base metals which means anytime you put anything in it is a risk in case base metals were used.

It cannot handle soft stones like malachite, turquoise, coral, etc. You cannot risk any higher quality gemstones in it in case they have any kind of flaw or inclusion, you cannot risk resin stones in it.

It is just far too limited. I did try it on some sterling silver and it improved it slightly but my time would have been much better spent simply cleaning it with silver polish. Sorry, B, B & B. Usually I love you but there were too many problems that were not included in any of the advertisements or reviews.

After returning 2 of the sonic cleaners I ordered from a different company I ordered two of these from BB&B one for a gift and one for me. I have been happy with the job it does. It sure works a lot better than the original (different brand) ones I bought and returned.

I asked if the bottle of cleaner came with the machine and was told NO. When they arrived they both had a bottle of the cleaner in the box. Plus this cleaner has a larger well than the others. In short I think this cleaner is very good for the money.

The first cleaners I bought cost twice what this one does. And the cleaner sent with the machine really helps with the heavy dirt and grime.

Not a heavy duty commercial cleaner, but convenient and does a a very nice job for periodic home use. Needs to cool down after a few cleanings before it can be used again. Instructions that came with it were a torn one page photocopy.

I ordered this on 4/28/2021from Walmart. Within a few months, maybe 3, a purple piece broke off inside where the light is attached. This didn’t seem to interfere with the operation so I just kept putting it back in place when ever it fell off.

Then a couple of months later a small white piece of the tray had broken off when I went to empty the spa. The last thing to happen was a week ago when I opened the top, the hinges that hold the top in place were broken.

All of this happened with the spa never being moved except to empty the water out. It was certainly NEVER mis handled or roughly handled in anyway. The wires are still attached so I may continue to use it carefully until the whole things completely falls apart.

It has now been 8 months since purchasing. I spoke with SmileDirect this morning and was told that Walmart’s warranty is for 3 months and the SmileDirect warranty is for 6 months. Guess I should have paid more attention to the warranty and that is on me but it is my opinion that this is a very cheaply made product, certainly not worth what I paid for it and SmileDirect should stand behind it or correct the manufacturing defects before sell this item.

Also as a 2+ year member of SmileDirect , they should have done more to make this right. I’m sorry to have to write this negative review because it seemed to be doing a good job of cleaning my night time retainer and my over all experience with SD has not been negative, except for a few misses in the very beginning.

I’ve bought 2 of these devices now and they’ve both quickly broken down to no longer working either through overheating(?) or erratically turning on / off. I considered that the first device was just faulty, but after the second device, I reached out to customer service.

The customer service can be summed up just as well. Works great at the start and breaks down soon after. They were extremely responsive at the start and asked for my device’s lot number and a video of the malfunctioning unit.

I sent it to them. They said they would follow up with a replacement unit and have been silent ever since. This is even after I’ve followed up with them multiple times. Honestly this device is a waste of money and junk don’t waste your money.

Even worse, the customer service is a waste of time. They’ll take what they need from you and leave you at the wayside.

I just had to purchase a third machine. I started in mid August. 4 month plan. Ended up needing touch up 2 month plan. It makes no sense that yet another machine just decided to not work anymore. 5 months and three machines.

Something isn’t right. I research other options similar and there just isn’t many so was left to buy yet another sigh it does clean the aligners crystal clear and quickly. Easy to use. Can’t see how I could have done without it.

The tablets leave a film you have to brush out sometimes. But this keeps your aligners all fresh and clean easier consistently.

I was hesitant to buy this small, rather inexpensive jewelry cleaner. certainly wasn’t expecting it to perform the way the professional grade ones do but I was surprisingly impressed! I reset the timer to clean my rings and bracelets a few times for a total of approx.

25 mins. They came out sparkling! The soapy water (I used a little squirt of dawn) I placed them in was mirky grayish-brown colored by the time they were done. indicating how much buildup this little machine removed.

Don’t put a ton of rings in at once. just enough to cover the bottom of the basket without them overlapping each other. Also after each 7 min timed interval I set, I opened the lid and swished the jewelry around in the soapy water for extra cleaning.

Don’t expect the water to show vibrating ripples while cleaning; mine didn’t and they still came out clean and sparkling. Just repeat cycles a few times for longer cleaning. Love the results!.

This was purchased for easy jewelry cleaning. While I love my jeweler, they are an hour away. I filled the stainless ‘tank’ to below the fill line with WARM, not quite hot, water, which I HIGHLY recommend as the water temperature will help loosen the gunk that is (gulp) touching your skin! I was so excited when this thing came, I put every ring I own into the basket and let ‘er rip! At first I ran it for 45 sec.

, then another min, then three more – now I just put everything in for five minutes. If you have a QUALITY waterproof watch you can put those in there, too, on the special curved watch holder. Be sure your gaskets are hand-tight before putting watches in there.

I have a Tag Heuer, stainless, that turns my wrist black after sweating – like work and a night out dancing – and *POOF* spotless! Love this thing.

I purchased the ultrasonic cleaner mostly for our crystal chandelier and other lamps that have a lot of crystal pendants and beads. For years, we went with a spray on, drip dry product which just didn’t do much except cause more smeared Swarovski crystals, which attracted dust.

This little machine does the trick. I used both Palmolive Oxy dish detergent and also purchased a commercial cleaner as well. Both worked equally as well on the crystals. Now everything looks brand new and after a few months now, all the crystals are bright and sparkly.

It made an impossibly large job incredibly easy.

I have a mouth guard I wear at night to stop grinding my teeth and over time it gets build up on it and stinky. I usually soak it in denture cleaner but that wasn’t doing a very good job cleaning or removing the white build up on it.

I found this and gave it a try and I am glade that I did. I used the whitening cleaning sample they included and it did a great job getting my guard looking like new again. I also use the cleaning tablets they recommend and I love they do a great job cleaning my guard, my guard doesn’t stink anymore either.

I am sensitive to strong smells and taste but these cleaners are not harsh smelling or tasting. After I clean my guard all I have to do is rinse it off with water and it’s good to go, can’t taste or smell the cleaner that was used in the machine.

My guard was very expensive so I needed something to help keep it in great condition so I don’t have to replace it, this sonic cleaner was well worth the money spent.

Love this device. It cleans my mouth guard with a quarter tablet and leaves me sleeping with a better piece of mind. Used pure water the first run just out of my mouth and then rinse a second run with a small piece of tablet… super shiny and extends the life of my guards.

For just a 3 minute run time, I’m still wondering if it really has time to do anything? It makes noise, so I guess it’s working, but I can’t tell yet. I suppose the jury is out on this one until I’ve had it for a while and continued to use it to see if there’s any noticeable difference in the long term.
