14 Best Cheap Weighted Keyboard (2022 Updated)

I had CDP-130(two and a half year ago for 1 year) then I traded it for PX-360. Since then I have tried a few other keyboards as a second instrument (Yamaha MX61, MOXF8 and Roland FA 08). At the present time I have PX-360 and Roland FA-08.

Let’s say so, I use them 50/50. Sound – quality of grand piano PX-360 is better then Yamaha (YDPs, DGXs) or Roland (with Super Natural engine). Quality of other sounds (Strings, Guitar, etc. ) – PX has very solid standard.

FA for instance has much larger library of sounds but I can give PX slight advantage in this category due to higher quality of sound of grand piano (which is the most important sound for me). MIDI controller – PX provides very basic access to MIDI parameters.

For instance FA by far more open and advanced system. FA is used as MIDI controller for software and for PX as well. FA allows me also to control some hidden within PX MIDI parameters. Action/feel of keys – FA gives more(easier) control of dynamics than PX.

On FA a keyboard provides a low level of a mechanical noise. PX keyboard mechanically is a noisy instrument. Price PX costs ~twice lower than FA. However they sit side by side in my home studio. Summary – I play on FA due to higher keyboard quality and very powerful a MIDI controller ability.

PX is used as a sound bank every time I need the grand piano sound (which is way over 90% of all time). three stars – Gained for Grand Piano sound. two stars lost – due to ignorance of a need to be a true home instrument with much quieter mechanics.

As a pianist and musical director, I prefer a keyboard that is self-contained with speakers, light weight, great piano action and feel. I own many keyboards from Kurzweil, Roland, Korg and Yamaha, and this keyboard has the professional features that I appreciate for rehearsal and performance, especially for the price.

The Casio Company has rocked the keyboard market in terms of sound, features and weighted action especially considering what you pay. “What you pay is what you get”. Well, in consideration of Casio, you get a lot for your money.

You could spend thousands on a Nord Keyboard (which I have) or a few hundred on a Casio which gives you ample sounds for rehearsal, recording and performance. AND you can carry it under your arm assuming you can lift 20 lbs.

or so. So, I highly rate the Casio PX-360 for those who need a light-weight keyboard with great action and sound. Now. go get it!.

This is really a great digital piano from Casio. With a great innovation of the touch screen, control of the sound is only a touch away. Casio has put a lot of work into make this sound like a genuine real grand piano.

With Casio’s Tri-Sensor Scaled Hammer Action II this keyboard is able to feel almost identical to a real piano. With its realistic Ivory texture you won’t be able to tell its not the real thing. They have put very much effort into modeling the sound of this instrument to sound like a real piano.

With damper resonance to recreate the sound of the strings resonating against the damper pedal, and string resonance that accurately models the harmonics between strings to acoustically sound like a real piano.

If you are looking for the great sound of a grand piano and the mobility of a keyboard the Casio Privia PX-360 will surely not disappoint. This is a real hands on product review from Nabil at Sam Ash in Lyndhurst, OH.

The piano sounds great, although I like some of the other piano sounds it offers better than the default sound. The piano plays well. Menus and display could be better for those with poor vision. Use of higher contrast options would be my recomendation.

Menu options take a bit to get use too, could be more intuitive. A dedicated transpose button would be nice. Overall though, the piano is packed with options for the price and some of the other improvement areas I’ve mentioined can be overlooked, although things like vision need to be considered more by manufacturers of all products.

I love this piano! It has paddles and all the keys! The most frustrating thing for me when it comes to keyboards is when all keys are not there. The paddles are very sturdy. I believe I have an older version of this model, without the display, but I have now played frequently on this keyboard for 4 years! Only small problem is that you can’t really pack it together and bring it with you without unscrewing all screws.

I’m a semi-pro, but purchased this instrument strictly for home use. Definitely don’t purchase it with stage expectations. Too heavy, and impossible to break down and set up, unless you only take the keyboard.

Some plusses: Nice piano, electric piano, and organ sounds. Nice look, and nice cover, so it’s acceptable in a living room as furniture. Nice sound from the speakers, at least to the player. Nice to have all three pedals like a real acoustic.

And its main selling point for me–a line input, so I can easily add a vocal mic and get a good idea of my piano/vocal mix without hooking up a separate mixer and running everything through it. But. The negatives: My old, cheap Yamaha P-90 has about 16 sounds, all of them usable.

This Casio has 250 or more, but 90% are junk. If, like me, you have no use for the quite extensive rhythm accompaniment offerings, stay away from this model. It’s all just silliness to me, and if your playing is not super precise, you can easily set off the accompaniment in the middle of a tune.

Most disappointing to me is the layer function. I like having a touch of strings behind the piano for a few tunes. Again, the old P-90 can get me just the right amount. Not so this Casio. Even at the lowest level, the layered strings are too loud.

Also, there’s no way to alter the decay and sustain, so they swell if your foor is on the pedal. If you’re trying to end a song with strings fading out, forget it. There’s one string setting, called “warm pad”, that has a low enough default volume, that, if layered in to its minimum, is almost suitable, if you don’t mind a pleasant but unrealistic tone.

Instead of the hundreds of totally unusable sounds, an extra dozen string sounds, with different attacks, decays and sustains, sure would have been nice. Another minus is the variance offered in the chorus and reverb levels that you can add.

There’s four reverb levels, and I can barely hear the differences. Finally, the manual sucks.

the “cabinet/stand” is of extremely low quality. plastic footboard and particle board sides and back. the keys were not as responsive as advertised (at least not much more than my less expensive model described below) and the only real wood may have been the frame the keyboard was built into.

i’m a novice player so i can’t speak to the sound quality of the keyboard, but it did not sound better than my $530 keyboard (UMOMO 88 Key Weighted keyboard also purchased from Walmart. com). if the sound of the Casio was amazing then i would understand the low quality stand, but as i said, it did not sound significantly better than my UMOMO, which is built into a solid wood cabinet/stand and sounds fine to me (some keys are a little less responsive on faster tunes but mainly when i’m using headphones or a Midi cable and listening through my tablet).

there are a lot of digital soundboard features for different sounds/looping/recording, etc. on the Casio, so if you’re looking for that you may like this product. but if you’re looking for something that sounds like an acoustic piano but let’s you wear headphones and connect to your piano apps (for a great price), there are less expensive high quality options.

i opted to keep the less expensive and better built UMOMO over the more expensive Casio with it’s super low quality stand. i appreciate Walmart’s return policy and the great customer service rep who helped me cancel my original request to return the “cheaper” product.

note: the legs, on the included UMOMO bench, are rubbish. vinyl and wobbly, so i did buy a separate bench to replace it, bringing the total purchase price for keyboard, stand, and bench to $600). still less expensive than this product.

Compact, stylish, looks lovely in my dining room without taking up much space. Weighted keys feel beautiful and it is a joy to play. I love it! Assembly instructions lack clear information, so we had a terrible time putting it together, but got there in the end, after a very long time! The laminate wood cracks and scratches easily so be careful when putting screws in, that the screwdriver doesn’t slip.

This electric piano is excellent for home practicing at an intermediate or even advanced level. The key action is amazing, perfectly balanced annd the feel is exactly like a real ivory-ebony keyboard.

The dynamics of the sound (piano, forte, pianissimo, fortissimo, sostenuto, etc. ) are truly amazing. The main downside is that at times the sound has a bit of a “fake” or “toy” feeling. However, if you couple it with high quality headphones, that goes a long way to making it better.

Generally, I would roccomend this product.

I ordered this Korg on July 15 2019. It has seen very little use only being played a half dozen times. As of today December 1 2019 it is already broken. The sound does not play at all through the built in speaker.

The thing turns on and it does play through the head phone. I am on the phone now with Musicians Friend who is working with me to get this problem taken care of. Based on my experience I will give Musicians Friend 5 stars for taking care of me and I will give Korg 1 star for building and selling a low quality piece of junk that couldn’t even last 4.

5 months with almost no usage.

Nice machine – gets lots of use. Wife loves the Classics – she grew up on Mozart, so he gets a flogging; I was able to fix up a problem with a glockenspiel piece (!) that I had. I tend to think harmony and that was what I was playing from memory; when I accessed the dots and played it as it was supposed to be played it was truly great.

It is easiest to learn a piece on the keyboard, then transfer to the mallet instrument – I used to do this when I played flageolette in a Christian Bush Band to learn new pieces. Even our son has a play when he thinks we are not listening.

Overall – a great machine!.

Beautiful weighted keys, stylish stand and built in cover. 3 pedal unit allows half pedalling, and not being attached actually suits here as my son isn’t tall enough to reach the ground where fixed pedal would be.

I can just sit this on a box for him to reach. Sound is genuinely nice, really good for this price range. And unlike other entry level Korgs it comes with MIDI out (not USB, but cheap adaptor fixes that).

I purchased the Nord Stage 3 Compact to use as an upper-deck organ-focused keyboard linked by MIDI to my Roland RD-2000, but since its arrival I have also been considering how well it might serve as a stand-alone keyboard at rehearsals away from my home studio and at gigs.

In relation to the latter, the central consideration is how well the piano samples work with the semi-weighted keyboard, but when played from the RD-2000’s keyboard, the Nord default grand piano is truly superb.

One surprise was that if played from the RD-2000, with a Roland sustain pedal, the Nord delivered the pedal resonance effect without the need to pay nearly $400 for Nord’s triple pedal. I remain unsure that I want the pedal resonance, though, as it seems a design limitation of a real grand piano and at times can be a disconcerting rumble, so I have also plugged a normal sustain pedal into the Nord as a means of escaping the resonance.

The Nord’s plastic semi-weighted keyboard at first sight seems to be the weak spot of what otherwise a product built to premium standards, with excellent switches and super-clear OLED displays. It does exactly what I hoped with organ playing, bringing out one’s inner organist very effectively, with drawbars that are much easier to deploy than those on the RD-2000’s tonewheel organs (where the layer volume sliders have to be switched to function as drawbars and you never know where you are initially).

Played as an upper-deck keyboard, the Nord encourages one to play in a way that results in lack attack on its piano sounds compared with what one gets by driving them from the RD-2000, though the one can adjust for this via multiple settings on the Nord’s keytouch functions.

However, as the Nord 73-note keyboard feels less compromised when I’ve tried it as a stand-alone instrument, set flat on a lower stand, so it is looking more like an all-purpose gigging keyboard than I had expected, which is good given how light it is.

I’m yet to get very far into using the synth engine or the effects, but the synth pre-sets are promising and the samples in the synth section are simply superb, with pretty much everything one might want already installed without the kind of ‘spoil for choice’ overkill of a workstation keyboard.

Particularly impressive are samples such as the wind quartet, where Nord has in effect assembled a four-layer sample as a single layer, with the various instruments limited to their correct zones. Overall, I’m very pleased with the Nord despite feeling that it will take longer to get to grips with all the controls than it would have taken to master the far cheaper that I had considered, namely, the Rolland V-Combo VR-730, which has a far simpler user interface and probably would have been perfectly OK for my organ requirements.

However, I doubted that the latter would work so well as a standalone keyboard on the piano front, for it doesn’t have Roland’s dedicated grand piano modelling engine that features in the RD-2000 and, judging from the RD-2000, I didn’t expect SuperNatural grane piano sounds on the VR-730 to be even close to the Nord’s grand piano samples.

The Nord price premium was huge, but the Stage 3 Compact does give a strong ‘you get what you pay for’ sense, aside from the more-functional-than-expected plastic keyboard. This was the most expensive online purchase I’ve ever made of a product of which I have no hands-on experience, so I did watch as many reviews as I could before placing the order.

These reviews included those of the Nord Electro, which appeared to be a good compromise between the Roland VR-730 and the Stage 3 Compact, but in the end, I decided to go the whole hog. I appreciate Manny’s stock indications on its website, and the Nord arrived (for $19 express delivery) the next day.

A customer service email also came, suggesting the purchase of an extended warranty, since Nord only offers a one-year warranty. I declined the offer but had an interesting email interchange with its sender (a real person!) about extended warranties.

Since I have had a day-job career as an economist, I know that if one buys many electrical appliances over one’s life, it is likely to be cheaper to decline all extended warranties and simply pay for out-of-warranty repairs or replacements as the rare need arises.

Such warranties make lots of money for firms such as Harvey-Norman and may offer little more than buyers may be able to get from manufacturers under ‘implied warranty’ terms in consumer protection laws covering to consumer durables (which mean that manufacturers are often willing to provide parts, and even labour, on a ‘goodwill basis’, when products fail out of warranty).

However, Manny’s seems to have a sense of the kind of situation in which a musician might be wise to consider an extended warranty. The ‘in the long run, it’s cheaper simply to repair or replace’ principle may be problematic to use where the buyer is short of savings or credit, such as a non-star working musician for whom buying something like, say, a Nord Stage 3 is a major financial commitment.

In that sort of case, any delays in getting gear repaired if it did go wrong would be a really serious problem.

I had the Nord Electro 6D 73, which made the Stage 3 Compact a perfect fit (since they are the same size): the carrying case, the stand and the dust cover all fit perfectly. The Stage 3 is a huge step up from the Electro 6D.

For starters, there are 2 banks of sounds instead of one. This means, for instance, that I can have 2 different pianos loaded in 2 different zones. Or, I can switch back and forth between the two panels changing everything: instruments loaded, effects, etc.

Plus there are 3 split points (for 4 zones), instead of just 1 split point (with 2 zones). And I haven’t even started talking about the synth section: it’s cool! You can start with basic waveforms or samples or **** synth sounds, and modify them many different ways.

I’m still experimenting, but the options are mind blowing. The fact that this device was used made this acquisition affordable for me. And ProAudioStar delivered an instrument that appears to be as good as new.

The unit I received still had the original manuals (1 in English, 1 in French), power cord and USB cable in a sealed envelope! I think I’ve tested all the features, and it works flawlessly. I’m very happy!.

Made in Stockholm, Sweden. craftmanship at his best! The sound that the nord Stage 3 produces is beyond compare. Not an easy instrument to master: I am still learning and discovering new features and how to use them, fortunately, a manual is included to help get going and there are plenty of on-line tutorials.

It will be a while before I may consider myself proficient, no matter, the learning will not cease! My recommendation is to go get one for yourself in order to build an even larger creative musical community!.

Really enjoy this keyboard! Has weighted keys and many features you could use to enhance your musical pieces. In the box you get a music sheet stand, headphones, a piano cover, midi adapter, and a pedal.

The sound quality is amazing, sounds like a real grand piano. However, the keyboard is pretty heavy. So if you are looking for a keyboard that you could take on the go like performances, schools, studio, etc, then this is not the keyboard for you.

Otherwise, it’s a great keyboard! Definitely would recommend!.

Ideal high tech keyboard. Like a standard piano, this keyboard has the full 88 keys and even comes with speakers! The keys are somewhat weighted for sensory sensitive players/students. The feel can be adjusted to the individual.

Taking it into the new millennium, this keyboard comes with Bluetooth sound and can be connected to mobile devices. One can travel with this keyboard!.

Sound: Has great sound Features: Just enough sounds to choose from without being exsessive. Transpose feature is very usfull. Ease of Use: Very easy to use Quality: Mostly seems made well however my pianos line out did not work on 2 seperate units Value: Once for once it’s a good value however I am going to have to pay a repair shop on a new instrument.

Overall: First I have to say I really like this piano. The problem is I havent been able to get the line out to either an amplifier or my interface to work. zZounds was very good with replacing the first piano.

However the replacement had the same problem. zZounds advised me to call Korg, Korg gave me an email address for operational trouble shooting. It took Korg almost 2 weeks to return the email just to say it must be a cable problem.

Since then I’ve tried every cable I have and bought another to try and nothing works. Bottom line I’m going to have to take my brand new piano to a repair shop which besides paying money to get a new piano working properly I have to haul a large piano to and from a shop.

bought the Korg after reading reviews and having played its predecessor. We wanted a reasonably lightweight stage piano that was loud enough to use without a PA for school choir (etc) performances. This is perfect – its not the greatest action or piano sound in the world but is MUCH louder than its casio/yamaha competitors and is very cheap for the volume and what it does.

We also have a yamaha P250 (similar to the current CP300) which was £2k new and is louder and better but for the price difference (around 25%) the Korg is a great deal. Good pianos, good rhodes/wurlitzer etc, reasonable organs (including hammond) and the strings (especially synth string pad) are great to combine with other sounds.

You can change the volume when layering, transposing is pretty straightforward and the touch/brilliance (i. e. treble boost) make it more flexible sound wise. All in all the best value ‘budget’ stage piano sub £1k, AND it comes with a good music stand and sturdy screw in metal legs (similar to a Rhodes, and the front ones are adjustable for uneven floors) so no need to spend £20-40 on a solid music stand (and wobbles less than an X frame stand).

I wanted to buy some branded piano and was hesitant to buy Glarry as I didn’t find much information on the web, only a couple of videos on YouTube but gave it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised with it.

I don’t have any experience with these instruments but kid who is taking piano classes is happy with it. I wanted her to practice on full weighted keys so this fits the bill. The item was shipped promptly and was delivered without any damages.

It’s little tricky to assemble as the side pieces have to be screwed in at an angle. Overall, it was a nice experience with this piano. The piano chair/bench is not included, purchased it separately.

This is a solid digital piano. It has weighted keys and a great sound. I’ve bought this twice now: the first time to go to Argentina, where we had it in our living room for three years; on our return to the US, I wanted my grand (which my friend is taking care of while we travel), but realized that the smaller piano made more sense in our smaller apartment.

This Borg is great–for space-saving and for real piano sound. I’m happy to own another one.

The tone of this instrument Korg LP380 is what I love about it. Like a traditional Grand piano. The construction is light and easy to assemble within an hour. The keys have a natural feel and action.

The pre-recorded songs show off the amazing sound quality and effects. I really like having a lid or cover to protect the keyboard.

The lp380 is a lovely digital piano since I cannot practice at my school; it saved me for not practicing at all. I loved it, and it came to me just in time.

I was told by a keyboard specialist at Guitar Center that the RP102 was discontinued and was replaced by the RP501R. They did not have a 501 in the store in the display room so I took his word for it.

Being that I only played the RP102 in the keyboard room , i only had that to base the quality of the 501. First of all I loved the 102. The keys were weighted excellently and the piano sound was superior.

Well i bought the 501 and lugged it home and set it up in my apartment only to be disappointed by the piano sounds. They are inferior to the 102, muffled on the low end and the keys even seem cheaper.

I play classical music so sound and tone is very important to me. That’s the down side. The plus is that it has some other cool patches and a bunch of preset rhythms you can accompany to. That said , the reason I bought this model in the first place was for the incredible piano sound of the 102.

Anyways buyer beware. I would test drive this thing before you spend over a thousand bucks for it. I only blame myself for not waiting for a showroom model to be available for play.

This is a wonderful piano. Beautiful sound and touch, and many sophisticated features. I have the white version, and love it. It is not the latest model. The RP 701 has a couple of upgrades, but they are not very important to me.

The price at which this is being offis a fabulous value. I play my piano every day, and it has brought me so much joy. Roland offers a 5 year warranty, parts and labor, with in-home service. You will want good headphones.

I did add inexpensive speakers to improve the sound quality when playing without headphones, but not everyone will want those. I have my piano against a wall, which lessens the resonance, but works for me.

The speakers improved that in my case. I played well as a child, and am relearning the piano after 60 years!.

with some Bluetooth cordless or wired speakers. Many music stores allow you to keep it for a year and upgrade to the next model, less the taxes so eventually one can upgrade to an HP 705$3500 or a GP 6t09 price $10,500 I returned a KROG it was not the EK 50 it was the G1, their higher end model and I am glad I did.

The only other piano comparable, in price and in same level of quality. Caveat, even with a veteran and a teacher discount, with a warranty, it was over $1700, and I delivered the piano. Add another $150 if you do not have an SUV or a Truck and you need it delivered, with a Warranty it is over $2,000.

You will curse my name when you see the bill but you will then quickly bless it, when you play on it and fall in love. The Roland RP501 and the Yamaha CLP 625 are the only two pianos in the good quality entry level piano level that I would recommend.

I am a professional pianist and piano teacher. I purchased this instrument without having had an opportunity to first play it. At 31 lbs, the piano is about 5 lbs. heavier than my Yamaha P-105, but the weight is still manageable, and I am quite happy that Roland has finally produced a piano that is easier to transport.

I primarily use the grand piano sound, and I like all three grand piano sounds, but I am not blown away by the sounds in the mid-range. Perhaps my expectations were too high. My greatest disappointments with the piano are the following: 1.

It if very difficult to switch to most of the other sounds, because one must depress and hold a button while trying to remember which piano key stores the desired sound (Eb?, F#?). This is extremely annoying, and it would have been so much better if each sound had it’s own button on the top of the piano.

2. I find the built in rhythms virtually useless, because, not only are they also hidden withing the keyboard keys, but it is not possible to synchronize the start of the rhythm with the start of playing a song, and there is no way of knowing what the tempo of the rhythm will be until it has already begun playing.

3. The headphone jack must be used to amplify the piano, so it is impossible to use the internal speakers while also using external amplification. I truly miss the external output. I purchased a Roland FP-5 in 1992, and I have loved Roland products for many years.

I am so happy to finally have such a lightweight piano with such a high quality sound with the FP-30, but it would have been nice if the built in sounds and rhythms were more accessible and useful, and if the piano had an external output other than the headphone jack.

How much do you want to spend on a piano? If you want something that feels real and sounds pretty real – get this one. Obviously there are better models with more features. But who needs those unless you are a professional? And if you’re a professional, you should be looking at $1,000+ pianos, not this one.

I went with this piano because it’s digital – and so in my apartment I can play late at night, without bothering my neighbors. During the day, I prefer the piano’s own speakers over the headphones, because the speakers are actually very good quality and sound more like a real piano than the headphones.

The feel is absolutely fantastic though. Seriously. Feels just like a grand piano. (and is also adjustable if you want) I guess my point is: this piano is a surprisingly good option.

I played piano when I was younger and am needing to reconnect musically. I wanted something that would feel like a piano but have a smaller footprint in my house. I needed it to last several years without feeling like I wish I had gone with something more professional.

Features like MIDI output were ideal in case I wanted to produce anything on the computer. I dove into research, decided on keyboards in this price range, and had it narrowed down to the Casio, the Yamaha, and the Roland.

I ended up ruling out the Yamaha. And Roland is revamping the line, making it impossible to get an FP10 or FP30X, so I went with the Casio. A few weeks in, it does everything I was looking for and feels great.

The controls seem very minimal at first and options appear limited, but upon reading the manual I found that there is much more customization with complex (and difficult to remember) key inputs. But my biggest complaint is with the app.

It seemed that the app designed for Casio keyboards would be a great addition that would solve the aforementioned complexity while maintaining the minimal design of the equipment. The app, however, is poorly designed, difficult to navigate, and only connects to this model via wired connection.

It?s a little disappointing, but certainly not a reason not to buy an otherwise great keyboard.

Kenny’s website gave an excellent overview and review of the Casio PX-S1000 Digital piano, consistent with other independent product reviews. This has an authentic grand piano sound with sympathetic resonance and weighted keys like a real piano.

Beautiful sound and beatuful to look at. It plays out of the box. Important for me is that it works as a midi input with Musescore and Sibelius Notation software. Midi drivers install automatically when connected by USB to a laptop.

The piano is very beautiful, and I chose the white. I give it 5 stars for all features except its a bit short and the white bench is a slightly different color than the piano. Wouldnt recommend for taller people with long legs but it was easy to put together, and the box wasnt too huge either.

Weighted keys are wonderful.

I chose it in Walnut, and the piano is beautiful, the piano sounds really good and has a lot of different sounds options all very realistic. The piano sample are really great. The pedal are like a real acoustic piano and the weighted keyboard is very nice to use.

I would have like speaker a tiny bit more powerful but that’s enough to fill a good room and you can still add a speaker. You can also plug headphone and have great sound. overall it’s a great piano for the price.

Don’t hesitate.

Nice key action and beautiful piano sounds with a decent amount of configuration possible and lots of additional features. Enough to keep beginners and intermediates very satisfied. Sure, it’s not perfect but for the price it’s highly competitive.

After 5 weeks of research, I chose to buy a Korg C1 Air. It was a gamble because I was unable to test out various brands & models in store. But online, Korg owners seemed happy with their purchases, had the fewest complaints of keys becoming click-y or sticky, and raved about the keyboard action.

After two weeks of ownership, I love this piano! The various piano voices are excellent, and by tweaking the settings, I can get the perfect tone I want for a piece: brighter, mellower, more resonant, whatever fits the mood.

The other voices are really nice too & are a lot of fun to play. The star of the piano is the RH3 action: real piano feel, responsive, expressive. Not too stiff & heavy, not too springy & light. The keybed is so quiet & even to play: no clickety noises or thumping.

The Korg keys have long pivot points, so playing near the fall board isn’t fatiguing. I worried about the “glossy” key texture, but it’s more like a satin finish than slick & glossy. You won’t slip & slide on the keys.

The cabinet is sturdy, the stabilizers do a good job of preventing rocking, & the soft close cover is a great feature. The control panel buttons have a solid feel, & the functions are quite easy to figure out.

Overall, the Korg C1 Air feels like a solid, high quality instrument that will provide many years of piano enjoyment. I love playing it.

The piano has excelent sound and keys. Wood build quality does not follow the same philosophy. The keyboard cocer looks thin an filmsy. Looking from outsife it looks like Russian Lada. somehow unfinished with visible screws and hinges.

I ordered it online expecting the state of the art instrument. If I saw it in the store I wouldn’t have bought it. If you don’t care about visual appearance, i would recommend it.

Love it. Super high quality – probably because it is made in Kyoto, Japan. On close inspection, all the keys are perfectly laid with the same gaps everywhere. I was looking at either a Kawai or a Roland product which is around $2500~$2900 and went to stores to test them out, but this is by far better.

I liked the sound of the Kawai, but not as much as this one (which I bought form just watching youtube reviews)! The Grand piano sounds are unbelievable. The Kawai had sound problems on the lower notes (rattling sound) even on the demo piano in a store which was really off-putting.

Also its a great design – very slimline and fits really nicely in a hallway in our small house. So happy with my choice and such a pleasure to play.
