20 Best Cheese For Alfredo (2022 Updated)

The item was right and it came on-time, but I ordered 4 jars. Instead of properly protecting each jar, the packer put 2 jars in each bubble wrap mailer inside the box and the jars were not protected from pounding together and they broke.

Glass jars should be individually wrapped for protection not put in a package together. The worst part was the REQUEST FOR REFUND which required me to bring broken jars of pasta sauce back to the store.

I’m not going to do that. Now if you wanted a picture, I would have done that, but not bringing broken glass covered in sauce to the store to prove to you that was the case. Ax that part. It was bad enough not having what I needed when I needed it.

Don’t make the experience worse.

Growing up I always loved Chicken Alfredo dishes. So as an adult I learned how to cook especially being a mother of four and love to use the Bertolli Alfredo. Wish I could make it from scratch more often but this is pure perfection for when the family wants an Italian never disappoints dish.

Mind you it pairs perfect with steak as well if you just want to have Alfredo pasta, as a side dish. Anyway, the sauce is quite delish and thick with the right amount of seasoning. Although I sometimes will put some extra mozzarella or asiago cheese or parmesan 🧀 for an extra cheesy kick.

It had a very cheesy flavor and was a nice thick sauce. I added mushroom and chicken to it and put it over rice. The only thing I would add next time would be some garlic. My father who is super picky even liked it and had two helpings of the Chicken Alfredo, which says a lot.

Classico brand is one of my go to brands of Alfredo sauce! Super creamy and definitely has the flavors you love! They also have a bit of variety for flavors if not wanting the 4 cheese sauce. It’s cheap and affordable and taste like your in a restaurant! It’s not too thick or not too runny, is a perfect combination.

Definitely has the homemade flavor also!.

This is a great fine to keep from having to make homemade Alfredo sauce each and every time. I found it in the grocers aisle about two years ago and I’ve been purchasing since. I use it in a recipe I make with shrimp and linguine pasta.

Olive oil, shrimp, broccoli, linguine and pasta sauce. My husband is Italian and he likes for me to make homemade sauces whenever possible. This pasta sauce has 65% less fat and 55% less calories than the leading brands of Alfredo sauces.

It still maintains a very creamy and rich taste. This is very flavorful. So many multiple uses for it. Grilled chicken, portebellos and chopped broccoli Alfredo. No need to even heat the sauce. As soon as the pasta is drained toss in the sauce and boom! Dinner or lunch.

I do sometimes add in Parmesan cheese and seasoning depending on what I’m making with the sauce. This product is well priced and has various flavors to choose from. The thickness is also perfect. I’ve had or tried other creams that separate into oil and cream, but this one never has.

I have tried many times to make my own Alfredo sauce and I have yet to master it. I hate to waste ingredients so I generally buy jars of this to use at dinner. Its faster, easier, and tastes better than what I’ve made.

There are lots of sauce flavors to choose from. The alfredo has a really good consistency and coats noodles well. It is seasoned nicely. My family likes this brand and I will be continuing to purchase it.

i was consistently using Rao’s, which is incredibly expensive. I’m surprised how hard it is to find good premade alfredo sauce. i could just buy cream and parmesan and make it myself, but I’m lazy. well, bertolli exceeds expectations.

I’m confident buying this and eating it multiple times a week because it’s so well priced. tastes amazing, smooth and creamy. i have it with durum wheat spaghetti and jalapenos. i often cut in some sharp cheddar.

This is very good if you add fresh parmesan and Romano cheese to it. Melting them in not only adds much flavor it also thickened the sauce as it was too thin to my liking. I also added a good deal of fresh ground pepper as well as topped off the pasta dish with dried parmesan and Romano cheese which added a really nice “zing”.

It’s probably four star for a grocery shelf item so that’s why I gave it this rating. It doesn’t compare to a good restaurant quality but it most certainly did after adding all the extras.

If I had all the cheese in the world to choose from then this wouldn’t even be considered, but ya know… Again, I’m glad there IS an option though. It’s got the worst greasy looking consistency tastes a little like powdered cheese mixed up with a bunch of salt.

It’s not great but it’s “creamy” ish helps when you are making something that needs it. There’s no way I could pour this all over a plate of nachos though, it’s more of a dipping consistency.

I love this cheese sauce- it’s so delicious and I’m so glad Walmart sells it at a reasonable price. I do wish it came in resealable packaging- I never use a full pouch at once. I also wish they sold the other two flavors which are also great.

Highly recommend this! I use this on veggie dogs, pita and flatbread, even as a dip for veggies.

This is quite possibly the grossest thing I have ever tasted in my life. Not only does it smell like plastic it tastes like chemicals. I actually started dry heaving after it was in my mouth. We threw the entire dinner in the garbage.

you could spend the same amount of time you’d spend here there instead, answering surveys and stuff, and actually get something.

I am Italian. I typically make my own alfredo sauce but some nights I am super tired and I want something simple so I tried this. I guess if you’re not used to making your own sauces then this would work, but I would definitely rather take the extra 20 minutes and make my own.

This will probably work better for a in alfredo pizza base because it’s covered in other things, but not a fan of a pasta sauce.

I’m not a fan of pasta, I don’t really like red sauce. But I love a creamy Alfredo white pasta sauce, this is the only kind we buy, it’s delicious, so many different ways to use it. I recently used it in the instant pot, there are quite a lot of good recipes for it.

This is an affordable decent Alfredo and Parmesan sauce line. If you’re looking for a good white creamy sauce that’s going to compliment your dishes I would recommend this product. We use these for all kinds of dishes and they are delicious! I’ll continue purchasing this product in the future.

some one at ragu needs to be sent to Italy for a stern talking to in basic pasta sauces. im a pure blood american theres no italian in me and i can tell this is a horrible sauce, and id hesitate to call it alfredo sauce.

this sauce is an afront to italian food. for one this sauce tastes heavily of garlic, overpoweringly of garlic, and not cooked garlic either, its like they made the sauce and then added 50% by weight of raw pured garlic.

for 2 garlic isnt even supposed to be in alfredo sauce, alfredo sauce is 3 ingredients. cream, parmisan cheese, and pepper. and you build around that with the other parts of the dish like the chicken or pasta.

try making your own alfredo, whatever you put out will be better than this i guarantee it.

I have bought this sauce a few days ago with some fettuccine with the wish of making fettuccine Alfredo for the first time. Disclaimer that I have never tried any Alfredo sauce in my life time yet with the experience of a person who love food, cook and eat pasta multiple a week.

I can ensure you that this is the worse pasta I have ever put into my mouth. From the first time opening the jar, there is this funky, really bad smell punch me right in the face. I didn’t care, move on and made the dish.

When I taste the final product, indeed that it has a creamy and cheesy flavor. But the aftertaste is horrible, the smell of the sauce made me nauseous. Ended up throwing the whole thing in the trash.

spare yourself and do not buy this sauce. as soon as i opened the jar i knew i messed up. smells TERRIBLE. i can’t compare it to anything because it smells like nothing but chemicals. i’d already cooked everything else so i thought may as well just use it.

Love this sauce. My man has a recipe and I reccomend this recipe highly. He makes Penne Pasta, he steams green bell peppers and onions, and he opens a can of white chicken breast! After cooking pasta he drains and adds the steamed peppers and onions then the chicken after he slightly breaks the chicken up and drains water off then he adds the sauce and sometimes a little shredded cheddar cheese 🧀 on top after getting some in bowl.

No improvement needed for this sauce. It is affordable and great value it has such great taste. It taste fresh and home made it don’t taste artificial. I reccomend this recipe to everyone. You can add other things we have added chicken breast took it off bone but the best chicken to pair with this awesome sauce is the round cans of white meat chicken.

It’s great we make it at least 3 yes a month and it’s a great meal to make together. Leftovers are even better after setting in the fridge all night all that flavor comes together with the sauce and soaks in the pasta and chicken and it’s awesome.

I’m not a fan if pasta sauce that ISNT a tomatoes based one. I bought this because my boyfriend loves chicken Alfredo and I wanted to make some at home. Well, this pasta sauce is what I picked up. I did NOT love it.

The flavor just wasn’t right, it tasted a little sweeter then I’d expect? My boyfriend said it was okay, but he agreed something about the sauce was off. I’ll probably never get this brand Alfredo sauce ever again.

Read the fine details, like the ounces! I just assumed that these jars would be the same size as the marinara sauce, and that was a huge mistake! It’s so disappointing to pay well over $6 per jar, for only a small 15oz jar! A small can of soup is 10oz, so this isn’t much bigger, if that helps! I bought 2 pkgs of pasta, and now I’ll have to buy 6 more jars at the very least to have enough sauce! That’s almost $40.

so good with chicken and panini noodles. love it!!! super easy to make, boil your noods cook your chicken add onion or what ever spices you want. once chicken is done add your sauce and simmer. when your noodles are done they will stick to the wall if your not sure toss one at the wall.

once your sure pile your sauce and chicken mixture over your noods and wall la, a nice garlic french bread goes good with this meal. happy cooking.

This is one of the better Alfredo sauces. Has a great creamy texture with a yum flavor of parmesan. I heat a pan of butter and throw in some garlic and then put in the spghetti noodles to get a delicious garlic coated dish.

I put in a couple tablespoons of the Alfredo sauce and mix well. Perfect with some well toasted french bread. Definitely recommend this sauce.

The Knorr Pesto Sauce Mix is a great alternative to keeping a jar of pesto in the refrigerator with hopes of using it up before it goes bad. This way if and when you want pesto sauce you can mix it up fast and fresh tasting.

It was easy to prepare. I was surprised that my husband liked it so much. He does not usually eat pesto sauce, but he liked the flavor of this mix. I do like pesto sauce on pasta so although it is a good alternative, I did not think it tastes as authentic as traditionally made pesto sauce.

I love these! While microwaving this I throw a slice of 5 Cheese Garlic Toast in the airfryer and cut up an orange or apple into slices, and my meal is prepared in under 5 minutes. Makes for a fast lunch with protein, veggie, fruit, and filling fat and carbs when there aren’t any leftovers in the house.

I hadn’t had a frozen dinner for a number of years, but I’m impressed at how much these have improved over the past decade or so! The pasta used to turn into glue and the broccoli was an all around woody mess, but in recent years they’ve become much better quality, to the point that I can’t believe they’re still right around a dollar.

After microwaving the pasta and broccoli still have texture, the chicken is moist and not at all gristley, and you can taste the parmesan in the white sauce. I also wholeheartedly appreciate the reduction in sodium without taking anything away from the flavour; around ~25% of daily sodium is far more appealing than similar products that are 60-80% for a meal that isn’t even filling! I have had about one a week for the past few months and I genuinely love them.

This is a cheap, frozen meal that tastes okay. For about $1 you, it’s decent. There is very little broccoli. The chicken texture is a bit rubbery, but the actual taste is okay. This is quick, and easy to prepare frozen meal option.
