I suppose Member’s Mark is trying to make more money by scrimping on their packaging, all the while keeping the price the same or higher. They have decided that paper slice separators aren’t necessary.
Well, maybe for some cheese you can get by, but not all cheese. We tried their cheddar and you couldn’t even get one slice out without breaking or crumbling it. The provolone, is better, but it wasn’t easy to separate slices and some still broke.
I will say that not all broke, but it was still a hassle that any did. Will pass on Member’s Mark cheese w/paper separators from here on out.
This cheese is not very good. It has a nasty chemical taste which I’m guessing is supposed to be smoke flavor. It’s fine on a sandwich with a lot of flavors going on but it’s terrible on it’s own, unless you like your cheese with a side of chem trail.
Disappointed is the best I can say. Usually, the Members Mark brand is a good quality product at a good price. This i s not.
This cheese tastes like Nothing. I got it because it says Smoker Provolone. Perhaps, I’m so used to Boar’s Head, that I can’t seem to find another Provolone to match. This one melts pretty well, but it has No Smoked Flavor whatsoever! It tastes blandish.
Do yourself a favor, and buy the good cheese. This is definitely Not it!.
