20 Best Cheese For Frying (2022 Updated)

This time I am using these Mozzarella Pearls in a salad of halved cherry tomatoes, cubed watermelon, prosciutto, olive oil, a spritz of vinegar, salt and pepper for a refreshing salad. I have also used them as well as the big Mozzarella ‘ball’ to make a Caprese salad with tomatoes, olive oil, Italian herbs, salt and pepper or on Pizza English muffins when I needed something quick.

They are also delightful marinated with Italian Herbs, a little salt, pepper and olive oil as a snack or small side dish.

One of my kid’s favorite side dishes is these pearls with cherry tomatoes on a toothpick with olive oil and garlic salt! I prefer them broiled with tomatoes on sourdough 😋 I love that they are fresh, melt easily and the price point is ideal.

Are they healthy? Well as healthy as cheese is! I love that there aren’t a lot of ingredients, just milk, vinegar and enzymes—so I feel good serving to my kids. Of course the taste is fantastic!.

I started buying the BelGioioso pre-sliced mozzarella when Sam’s stopped carrying the BelGioioso mozzarella pearls. Like the flavor of this just as well, but preferred the pearls because they came packaged in 8 oz.

portions, while the slices are packaged in 16 oz. portions. Have had a problem sometimes using it up before it decides to start getting mold on it. Recently started making a brine solution to store it in – hopefully that will help it keep longer.

This is probably my favorite flavor of Tillamook. I haven’t found a Tillamook product that I don’t like. In fact when I cook if I can get Tillamook I’ll get their cheese I’ll get there butter all of their products are amazing I went to a Vocational High School my senior year of high school and qualities always a big deal when I’m cooking.

Tillamook gives me that quality that I want without feeling like I’m spending too much. Definitely give it a try if you can get it.

Literally always a great price and we know Tillamook does good dairy. The cheddar is super sharp. Great compliments are apples, grapes, Italian meats. yum! Throw on some bread and fry up for a delicious grilled cheese.

It’s become hard to find a supermarket grated Parmesan cheese without cellulose added. If you don’t want to eat cellulose fiber and you don’t want to grate your own Parmesan, this product is a reasonably-priced alternative.

The taste is good, the cheese works well for sprinkling on pasta and vegetables, and melts well in baked dishes.

This and the just-cheese Parmesan are great. My complaint- why I only gave 3 stars – is that they’ve been made an ‘in store only’ product even though they are shelf stable until opened. I had both shipped to my home regularly for a long time with no problems.

Unfortunately this is the case for quite a few products I use to have shipped regularly but now must buy elsewhere.

No cellulose powder, just delicious 100% grated parmesan. I have to point out that it must be refrigerated after opening. Other reviews said that said it turns brown. It won’t if you follow the instructions on the label and keep it in the fridge.

Throw it away if you’ve kept it on the shelf after it’s been opened.

I order the Big Red Cheddar Cheese every year. One of my family’s favorite cheese. Excellent to put on grilled cheese sandwiches and egg omelets.It always have that Great Cheddar flavor.

Very good cheese and beef log. We ordered some for my daughter and son in law. They love getting it as part of there Christmas gifts. We also ordered some for us. Cheese mellow but very tasty and the beef log was very tasty.

At the cheese display at my supermarket I grabbed a block of cheese I thought was Pecarino Romano. I picked up BellaVitano Chardonnay by mistake. This is the best cheese I’ve ever eaten. Fruity, buttery and nutty with a slight tangy after taste.

Please try it. You won’t be disappointed!!.

I bought this cheese at another store first (for a higher price), but it’s the same anywhere you buy it. We love this cheese and definitely think it’s worth splurging on. It’s crumbly but not too dry and has a delicious nutty flavor with a hint of that grape sweetness.

My spouse is not a cheese lover, but even he looks forward to snacking on this cheese! Tastes great on seed crackers and by itself.

I was really excited to try this because I love expresso. It’s a harder cheese but it softened up when I was cutting it. It taste amazing!! Perfect dessert cheese. Has a sweet expresso flavor. I’ll definitely buy again.

Love this one. It has a smoky, aged taste. We wish it was 100% grass fed, but 80% is tons better and healthier then other brands. Disappointed that it’s not available in San Antonio, Texas.

This product has changed! I used to never be able to keep this stocked. We all loved it. About a year ago it changed. The texture is horrible and the taste can not make up for that. Bring back the good stuff!.

I love keeping this in the fridge. I like to mix it into recipes with regular shredded cheese to “lighten” them up a bit, but still be cheesy. It melts up nicely and tastes great just sprinkled on top of a salad too.

I wish it came in larger bags.

In a pinch, this cheese is good for topping tacos chili, but there isn’t a whole lot of flavor to it, so I don’t like it with grilled cheese, pizza or Mac n cheese. It melts nice, there’s a blend of Mexican and American cheeses, but not any kind of spice is there.

fiesta cheese is very different from mexican cheese. I would’ve preferred another brand rather than picking a different cheese.

This is another product that I refuse to buy if there is a name brand on it. I will only buy this in the house brand. Having said that, this is excellent cheese. I get the Great Value pepperoni pizza and add this Grest Value cheese, along with Great Value pepperoni, and Vlasic sliced yellow peppers.

A dash of black pepper, diced onion, and some sprinkled red pepper, and I have a masterpiece pizza! Its the only way I will have pizza these days, and even with the extra ingredients, i can put a half pizza together for a little more than $3 a half, its filling and delicious as well! Try it, save your money, and dont buy overpriced pizza shop pizza!!.

We really like this cheese, it tastes just as good as name brand. I use it in my homemade lasagna, add it to our pizzas, on top of our spaghetti, and we just recently used it when we made garlic bread to go with the lasagna I made and everyone, including company we had, loved it.

It can also be used for so much more. I like that it melts nice because there are some cheeses that don’t. The bag is resealable to keep it fresh. It’s also affordable.

I buy cheese pretty often. I always rely (relied) on walmart cheese because for some reason cheese is expensive. One day I was planning for homemade pizza and grabbed this brand of mozzarella in a big bag.

When i got home, I grabbed my cheese out to start cooking. Got my crust ready, baked it, put my sauce on and when I opened my bag of cheese there was MOLD in the entire thing. All over, green, black, furry mold.

I was disgusted. It’s safe to say i’ll never be buying walmart cheese again and that’s sad because it’s half the price of name brand. Oh well.

The taste of the cheese is decent enough; however, if you break down the cost of the cheese compared to individual bags from Sam’s it’s ALMOST not even a deal anymore. The 2 pack bags of cheese are $7.

48 which come to $3. 74 per bag. Which is $3. 74 per pound. This 5 pound bag is now $17. 18 which is $3. 44 per pound. It used to be such a good deal to buy a 5 pound bag of cheese where we’d save over $5 dollars buying it in bulk now it’s pennies in savings.

If they raise the price again there won’t be any savings at all. It’ll be cheaper to buy the individual bags.

So versatile. From taco night to omelets in the morning to any cheesy meal in between, this is our go-to shredded cheese product (barring things that need mozzarella). Separate into smaller bags and freeze to get the most long-lasting bang for your buck.

Very good Mexican-Style mix that my family uses on most everything that we use cheese on. It’s excellent to keep this and small flour tortillas on hand so my children can use it to make themselves cheese roll ups for their afternoon snack when they get home from school.

We’ve been buying and using it for many years now because, well, cheese. We use a lot of it, because cheese goes great on almost everything! This isn’t like Walmart’s “taco cheese”. No spices are added, it’s just a blend of different cheeses.

I received Goya instead of Tropical, which was expired, with blue spots all over it.

I use it to fry and it’s the best cheese to fry with. I add it with my breakfast meals to give it that salty flavor it needs. Pairs great with salami and eggs.

I’m from the Midwest and grew up next door to WI specifically, so I had plenty of access to real, fresh cheese curds throughout my life. However, I moved to AZ several years ago, and proper cheese curds are hard to come by there; they’re definitely not available at all the grocery stores like they were in the Midwest.

I came across these at Target and figured, what the heck, let’s give them a try. and was pleasantly surprised. Are they a “proper”, squeaky cheese curd? No, of course not, and if you live in the Midwest I’d definitely recommend just going with the real thing (which is what I’ll do now that I’m back in the Midwest again).

But if you don’t have access to those where you live, these will definitely make do if you’ve got a craving and want something similar. The flavor is good and I do like the texture, even if it’s not quite spot-on.

They’re an okay (and cheaper) replacement when the real thing is unavailable.

Lived in Quebec most my life and had hope that it could be similar. to fresh poutine cheese. Not really even close, as real cheese curd are sold fresh and only refrigerated when they are “not fresh” anymore at discount prices.

But hey at least it’s better than nothing but it wont have the same “squeeky” fresh texture and the taste is very different too. I just think it’s really hard to find good Cheese especially good mild cheddar in usa (at least on the New England area where I live) Everything is just “sharp sharp sharp” I love sharp cheese but variety is great too.

Anyway Try it but don’t get your hopes too high. But I probably will repurchase anyway in the hope to get a fresh batch or a miracle LOL.

If you’re used to Wisconsin-style squeaky cheese curds, these aren’t it. BUT they’re different enough from chunks of regular cheese to be worth it, in my opinion! The 5 oz. bag is technically 5 servings, but I’ve bought this product in-store twice in the last week & eaten the whole thing in one sitting each time, haha.

Maybe a resealable bag would be a good idea?.

I am so glad I found these two-pound bricks. The price per pound is reasonable and i like the brand. It seems to have a little more pepper than the store brands. I use this on the small round Tostito chips.

If I have cheddar or swiss I might add add a little. I like the round chips because the triangular ones do not lay flat and the cheese melts and runs off. This makes a delicious snack. This cheese is also my favorite cheese on ham sandwiches or any other sandwich if I am thinking, “I need cheese.

I love pepper jack cheese. Been trying different brands this year. Just tried Cabot Pepper Jack today. It could be so much better. Can’t even really taste the peppers. The cheese has the consistency of rubber.

Not gonna buy this again.

This is the best pepperjack. I use this in breakfast burritos or mix it with cheddar to make queso or top enchiladas. This is also nice on a cheese and crackers plate. The cheese itself is soft and melty with a subtle flavor.

The flecks of pepper add flavor, spice and color.
