20 Best Chemical Exfoliant Drugstore (2022 Updated)

I am a HUUUGE murad customer. Like 95% of skincare is Murad. I can honestly say this is the first product I’ve gotten of theirs that I am not a fan of. It has some pros that are typical of Murad products such as lack of nasty scents, good packing etc.

but there was hardly any lather during a wash. While I understand exfoliants aren’t intended to be very soapy products to begin it was about completely nonexistent. I feel like I needed to apply an extremely generous amount to get slight lather.

I also did not feel like it gave my facial skin a good cleaning. In my experience with most facial exfoliants after I’ve rinsed and blotted my face dry or really immediately after rinsing, my face usually feels very soft.

I did not feel any smoothness and I had a large amount of dry skin flakes still remaining. I have only had the product for maybe two weeks so I’m going to continue to use it for a bit in hopes that maybe it will start to work better I guess?🙁 even though I consider this product a fail this is still my favorite company and I’ll still continue to buy their products just not this.

I tried this product about a year ago for the first time. Upon first use, I liked it. Gentle manual exfoliation combined with chemical exfoliation seemed like a great combination. My skin reacted well and I noticed smoother, clearer skin as I used it more.

I ended up using this as my shower face wash every other morning. I ran out about three months ago but could not justify the high price for replacing a cleanser. however I’ve seriously missed this! I’ve noticed more texture and more frequent blemishes, and the only thing in my fairly strict skin care routine that changed was this cleanser replaced by a drugstore similar product.

I decided to repurchase this and after only a few uses, I’m already seeing an improvement with brighter smoother skin. It’s worth the splurge because one container lasts a long time for me, about 8-9 months with use 3-4 times per week.

My absolute favorite cleanser in existence; the AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser from Murad. I was first exposed to this brand as I worked for a professional facial/skincare provider, and I have been obsessed ever since.

This innovative cleanser is perfect for using a couple times a week (don’t overdo it) to remove dead skin gently resurface the face. The fragrance isn’t overwhelming and exists almost solely to cover up and pungent acidic smells.

It foams very nicely, which is something I find to be rare with most exfoliating cleansers. This is a staple in my beauty cabinet and I use it twice a week, followed up with the Essential-C cleanser.

The two combined are a powerhouse of antioxidants and skin perfecting ingredients, I just cannot get enough of them. I highly recommend this cleanser ( nearly every cleanser from Murad)!.

It normally takes me a while to notice benefits of a new skin care product, but I saw an improvement in my pores after the first use. I have some larger pores on my nose. One I call my “coin purse” because it can feel that big sometimes.

I was amazed to see a reduction in the size of the pores on my nose after the first use. Will I still take introduction of this product into my skin care routine slow?. sure. but am hopeful I will continue to see good things.

I love every product I have used so far! Thank you for putting out quality skin care at more affordable prices! I love to order directly from the website, but grateful that I can pick up a lot of the products at my local Target in a pinch.

This product has transformed my skin. I’ve struggled for over 13 years with cystic acne, blackheads, large pores and oily skin. I have been on a million prescriptions from dermatologists but on my own research decided to try a BHA.

i have never been happier with my skin. My acne is clearing, pores are smaller, and the texture is sooo smooth. Absolutely in love. Please don’t ever discontinue this product. I’m almost ready to trash all of my prescriptions for acne.

Noticed a difference pretty quickly. I was exclusively using Versed’s Weekend Glow brightening toner before I tried this. Noticed these weird bumps on my (oily) chin–not pimples or whiteheads. Started using this 2x daily and within the week I can feel that the weird bumps are much reduced.

(I’ve made no other changes to my regimen, but I have been using a potent Vitamin C serum nightly for the past several weeks. ) Smell’s a bit off-putting, but I don’t mind ‘cuz this stuff works.

Seems that the wonderful world of social media is backing these drugstore skincare lines in a corner & making them step their game up. This, THIS. is bomb! Gone are the damaging, physical over-exfoliating days & we are finding wonderful liquid exfoliants at our local, affordable stores.

Whoot! Of course I grabbed the blue bottle because it fits my skin type & I’ve intro’ed this to my face once a week being that I have thin & sensitive skin. Also, I will use this down my neck & on top of my chest every other day or every two days, spritz hyaluronic acid & apply moisturizer & this has done WONDERS for that area.

It has softened my skin & plumped it up. It feels healthy & when I say that I mean my skin just feels less textured & feels more fatty to the touch, as it should. The squirt top makes for clean deposits onto a cotton pad or even taking all over your body instead of using a scrub or scratchy mitt.

I. LOVE. Please don’t ever change this formula.

I’ve tried the normal and panned that one. It was good, I’d say a toned down version of the ordinary glycolic solution. It did make my skin even and smooth. The oily skin one with citric acid really softens my blackheads.

A lot of times I will soak cotton pads and place them on my t zone- then go in with my sonic cleanser and the blackheads soften and pop right out. Something about the citric acid in this one (the blue bottle didn’t have that).

It does burn and sometimes makes my next product or makeup get that funky gross sour smell. I will not be RP. I think this is a great beginner product for those that want exfoliation and a bit of hydration.

When you want to step it up go to glow recipe toner. Or if you want to become a skin pro go to tarte knockout tingling treatment, biologique recherche p50. Overall it softens sebum, evens skin tone, hydrates, and exfoliates.

On a sensitivity scale id rate this a 5-6 out of 10.

I have sensitive skin and lil dryer these days. Bought the liquid exfoliant in pink box. It did give me a glow. Like other reviews, it did make my face red and slightly heated but goes away must be the acids working.

I Initially left a review stating it did not dry out my skin which was great, but after using for a few days in a row as Instructed it did in fact. So be careful not to over use. I got excited about the glow it was giving and was hoping it would diminish some unwanted pores.

It seems that it would work with even skin tone but gotta be careful with that too as sun sensitivity can create new ones. It’s a orb knowing bow to use so I’m giving it a break for now but have aside and will update review if I notice something different once I use again.

Elf is completely winning with this skincare line. To be honest I havent tried anything yet that I haven’t liked or that I wouldn’t be willing to give a go. The price tag is unbeatable and they used amazing ingredients paired with amazing formulatons.

I was already impressed with they holy hydration moisturizer when I tried that years ago and after my toes where wet I just kept falling in love with the line. This peel is really good and working great.

The only thing I dont care for is some of their marketing tricks they are using by making people think that they are shedding dead skin when thats not the case at all. Once you rub this in the product has a reaction and starts peeling which creates the pilling effect or the white clumps that come off.

Its exactly how this type of peel works so there is nothing wrong with the product. I say this because I have seen a bunch of reviews saying that they didn’t like the product because something was wrong with it and they couldn’t get it to work.

After im done with the peel my face is nice and soft and with continued use you will definitely see results and I love it and recommend this as a nice alternative to some more expensive products.

I was looking forward to using a product that would gently exfoliate my skin without being overly abrasive and cause irritation. I have more to say about trying to get the product out of the bottle than about the actual product itself! After getting it out of the box, I twisted the pump to dispense the product on my hand but after 10-15 pumps, nothing came out.

I took the pump off the bottle and noticed that the product was very thick so I decided to shake up the bottle and try again. After several more pumps, no product would come out. I again took the top off and turned the bottle upside down to tap on the palm of my hand to get the product out that way…still a no go.

I could hear the product in the bottle as I shook it and it sounded like slurpy jello. I had to take the pump and wiggle the tube around in the product to break it up and then it took a lot to shake out only a few plops of product.

At this point, I was so annoyed with all the effort it took to get a dime size amount of the product out, that I did a few quick circles on my cheeks and then washed it off. I should’ve purchased the travel size that was in a squeeze tube, I’m sure that would’ve made the product much easier to get out! I won’t waste my time with this product again.

First things first, I love this product. After using it, my face feels so good and glowy. I will continue using this product but this is where my review gets interesting. I saw DaniHMcV’s review discussing how the stuff balling up while using this is not skin (like I thought) but the microcrystalline cellulose that’s listed in the ingredients! So, as a scientist who has access to microscopes, I obviously had to find out if this was true! I rubbed some of the cream onto my hand and mounted the balled up things in question onto a slide with some hydrochloric acid.

It is largely cellulose! So this is why I deducted a star from my review. I love how this product feels and what it does for my skin but it’s pretty clear that the cellulose balling up is misleading consumers.

No, it’s not sloughing off this much skin every time you use it, which is probably a good thing. But it is a gentle chemical exfoliant which is what I was hoping for.

The Neutrogena Stubborn Texture Daily Cleanser is a fragrance-free, paraben-free, phthalate-free, dye-free, oil-free, and sulfate-free cleanser that claims to help clear skin and visibly smooth uneven texture.

This product contains salicylic acid, 2% glycolic, and 2% polyhydroxy acids. This product is designed for acne-prone skin and intended for daily use. Salicylic acid helps to eliminate blemishes and helps prevent new blemishes from forming.

Glycolic acid is to helps shed dead skin, and polyhydroxy acid helps to exfoliate skin to leave a smooth and clear complexion. As stated in the directions, I wet my face with lukewarm water, applied the product (cleanser) to my hands, and added water to lather the product in my hands.

Then, I massaged the face with this product for a minute. Finally, I rinsed off the product with lukewarm water. All in all, I really enjoyed using this product, and I would highly recommend this product to a family and friend.

I have purchased this product again.

I have been using this product for about a week now. It is okay, but I would not recommend a friend or family member go out and buy it. I bought cotton pads and would apply it at night, right before bedtime on a clean, fresh face.

I would get the cotton pad wet with the product snd gently wipe it all over my face, focusing on the problem areas where I see a lot of redness and dark spots. It did make my face feel fresh and also provided a slight tingling sensation.

I can best describe it as a toner when it comes to the consistency and the way it performs. Directly after use, I would say I noticed a difference in the overall redness in my face. I like the way the product performs, but I rated it a 3 because of the way my skin felt afterwards.

It felt almost like I needed to wash my face again because it felt greasy or like there was a slight film on it. I wish the product would absorb better into my face and leave it feeling cleaner than it did.

Well, well, well… Neutrogena has to come to play the skincare game & they are not messing around. I’m so impressed. “Stubborn Texture Exfoliating Treatment” is right up my alley, that is me, I’m a stubborn texture haver! Stubborn texture sometimes can be as frustrating as general acne.

Rarely do products work for it the way they say they will. This is formulated with 7% Glycolic & Citric Acid Blend aka AHAs. A liquid exfoliator to gently scrub away dirt, dead skin, etc w/o having to manually scrub & potentially damage your skin further.

I did want to give this product a chance to work before I reviewed. And I am very impressed, delighted to own the product for myself. One of my major problem areas, my chin is seeing major improvement.

The problem spots are drying up. I’ve actually been using along with the Neutrogena Stubborn Blackhead spot product. Excellent combo, 10/01 recommend. Highly affordable & easily accessible. effective to boot.

I don’t typically feel compelled to write reviews, but this product has changed my skin literally overnight- and there’s no way I won’t share my thoughts. I have ALWAYS dealt with acne-prone skin, texture, dullness, oily skin, hormonal acne, etc since I was a pre-teen.

Now, as a young adult, my skin gets wishy-washy and can look/feel decent for a few weeks and then go right back to breaking out and feeling super textured and rough in the snap of a finger. When it gets like that, even foundation and concealer cannot hide the tiny bumps or dark spots that stick around after a breakout has subsided.

Around this time last month, I was in Sephora, trying to use up a gift card, and came across this travel-sized PC exfoliant product. I had seen it around social media for years but didn’t want to just buy another hyped product only to have it do absolutely nothing.

Then I used this product for the first time after my nighttime skincare and woke up with different skin HA. No joke. 1 day after using this product and someone even asked me what my skincare routine was, what?! I hadn’t been complimented on my skin in years! I have been using this consistently on my face morning and night, and babyyyyy my skin is soft, supple, breakout-free, redness-free, texture-free, and just so radiant.

I feel like a goddess, seriously that’s how confident I am in my skin because of this product. Nothing else in my skincare changed except the addition of this exfoliant and my skin’s health has changed so dramatically, it is crazy.

In the back of my mind I am afraid my skin issues will just suddenly return one day but day after day when I go to wash my face and feel the silky smooth skin beneath my fingertips, it makes me so giddy.

I DO get hormonal acne around that time of the month, and I am awaiting that week to see if this product combats any flare-ups from that, and I feel hopeful it will. I only knocked a star because my oily skin issues still persist but it’s not that bad.

What I love about Paula Begoun’s skincare range is firstly: the transparency. An explanation is given for each ingredient so you know exactly what you’re putting onto/into your skin. Secondly there’s ample opportunity to trial the products via a sample size on the website.

Not to mention a good returns policy. The 2% BHA lotion was one of the products that I invested in full size (along with a bunch of samples) and funnily enough was my least favorite out of everything I ordered.

It’s not that it broke me out or disagreed with me in any way, it just didn’t do much for me. Even after the first 3 weeks of usage, gradually built up to twice daily applications, my skin still looked exactly the same as before I started using it.

Pores, blemishes, oiliness, you name it. zero difference! It’s unfortunate, as I skipped the option of a sample pack, thinking it wouldn’t be enough product to give it a fair try. I was somehow convinced this 1 bottle would be the answer to all my skincare woes (not entirely sure what lead me to believe that!).

The good: it wasn’t harsh on my skin like many BHA products can be, and the application was well controlled, never too much or too little. And I have, after 4 months of continued use seen a very slight difference to clogged pores on my nose (less gunk when using the weekly nose strip) but nowhere near significant enough to warrant a re-purchase.

This is my tried and true holy grail exfoliator. No matter what I try, I always come back to this one. I have emptied soooo many bottles of this. I have very sensitive, combination (super dry/normal in the winter & oily/normal in the summer but I can still use this product all year around despite my skin type) and acne prone skin.

I have to say that I hated this product the very first time I tried it–it stung my skin. It was to the point where I ran into the bathroom to wash it off my face after just a few mins of applying it.

I really tried to like the product but the sting was too painful and the SMELL of this is absolutely atrocious. The product smells like acetone to me and I probably gagged in about 20 different languages when I put it on my face for the first time (although I would rather it smell disgusting than have them add a ton fragrance to the product.

My skin doesn’t do will with heavy fragrances). I left this on my vanity for a few months before I picked it up again–I just didn’t want to waste my money. Someone told me to dilute the product with water on a cotton pad–I tried it and it didn’t sting my face nearly as bad but still some intense tingling going on.

But the next morning, I noticed how soft and rejuvenated my skin looked and felt. I continued to use it once a week and I fell in love with the product and slowly stopped diluting it as much as my skin got used to it.

After 4-5 years of using this religiously 2-3 times a week, I still feel tingling on my skin when I use it but I’ve gotten use to the feeling and the horrible smell because the results are worth it. Due to my sensitive skin, I absolutely can NOT use this product more than 2-3 times a week.

This product is wonderful. It takes me about a little less than a year.

I’m basically a skin Medica addict. Anything they have a pretty much love. This face wash was literally my go to for the past few years. I love everything about it I love the scrubs all the yuck, I love that foams I love that has little to no scent.

I love how giant the package is, more bang for your buck! I was on my third or fourth tube of this and washed my face like any other night. Felt like I had gotten a tiny eyelash in my eye but couldn’t find it.

Went to bed that night still irritated. The entire next day my eye started swelling and running, and hurting so bad! The following day I was able to get into my primary care who then referred me to an eye doctor.

That afternoon I saw my eye doctor, day three of this pain! The eye doctor flipped my eyelid, looked with a microscope and pulled out a microbead that came from this face wash! Supposedly it’s a plastic micro bed that was outlawed in the state of California.

Haven’t fact checked this but he seemed pretty concerned. He said that it was the second time in 33 years of practice that he had seen something like this. Great face wash if you want to live on the wild side and take your chances! Otherwise find some thing else.

I have been using this cleanser for several years now. It is a wonderful medicated cleanser with gentle physical and chemical exfoliation. I was first recommended this cleanser by my dermatologist, and was then pleasantly surprised to see it constantly on the list of “best cleansers” for (1) aging (2) acne (3) glowing skin (4) combo skin (5) best cleansers of all time etc.

It truly is a winner. To be honest, when I first bought it, I was a little shell shocked at the price. I had never spent $50 on a “face wash” (at the time, I was still calling them face wash, but after the purchase I decided to upgrade my language as well), but my dermatologist advised that I should only use the product once a day and to just use a little bit, that I would see – a little bit would go a long way, and then to use a gentle cleanser at the opposite time of the day.

The bottle lasted me almost an entire year, and not only that, I began to see glowing results in my face within two weeks. This was 4 years ago and I would not trade this cleanser for anything in the world.

There is nothing like it. I have had some hiccups in my acne journey since then, do to some changes hormonally with my birth control (UGH, big time), so now my only wish sometimes is that this cleanser would be stronger.

But truly, this cleanser is beautiful, just the way it is. If you’re on the fence, go for it. I still buy it and use it on top of my more medicated cleanser because it is just that wonderful.

I truly love this cleanser. I have been using it for about 2 years. I worked up to being able to use it daily after the initial 6 weeks. Inititally it might make your skin sensitive due to the exfoliating factors.

This has really helped my skin!! Having peri-menopausal skin I want to keep my cell turnover rate up for the anti- aging effects and also keep it exfoiliated so its clear despite my hormonal imbalances.

This does it all. It also doesn’t strip my natural oils. I do use a serum immediately after I cleanse and a good moisturizer. My daughter uses it now too. She is 22 with hormonal stuff going on. Its helped a lot with her hormonal acne.

Loving how easy the Glow Baby Liquid Exfoliant is to use, with its convenient pump top and I’m also obsessed with the yummy fruity scent! I just place my cotton ball on top and pump 1-2 times to get enough product to wipe my face with.

I use this exfoliant 2-3 times a week, gently, and my skin feels extra clean and fresh! This is a huge bottle, so I love the fact that I won’t be running out of it anytime soon! My face just feels so good, looks much healthier and more radiant! At 48 years old, these are very important things I need in a skin care product! I am very happy that this exfoliant is both cruelty free and 100% vegan! Yes, I am in love with my baby soft skin results! And, overall, I am impressed with the Glow Baby Liquid Exfoliant!.

How have I not tried Pacifica Beauty before? I love skincare and have tried lots of different products and brands with varying results. I’ve seen Pacifica around but this is my first time trying it and their Glow Baby Liquid Exfoliant 5% AHA + BHA is like a skin refresh.

I have dry skin and especially in the winter it gets flaky and I experience some buildup. This exfoliant helps clear all that away so the dull skin is no more. I love the way this works and that the brand is vegan and cruelty-free.

I will be trying some more from them on my next shopping trip.

I am very particular as to the product I use on my skin. I normally use Obagi or Sunday Riley. I have normal to dry skin. This product is amazing. I’ve only being using for a short time and can already see an improvement on my fine lines on my forehead.

I use as part of my night time regiment. Makes my skin look and feel radiant the next morning. My sixteen year old son suffers from mild to moderate acne. I tried the product on him with great success.

I saw improvement with his acne almost immediately. His skin now has a healthy glow.

I have always been an a fan of mechanical exfoliation. However, I recently DESTROYED my skin barrier after buying products from a consultation from an esthetician working for the company of a very well known medical grade skincare company (not sold on LovelySkin).

I went to a new esthetician at a very reputable plastic surgeon’s office and she turned me on to this once my barrier was repaired. It is gentle enough to use with retin-a but also feels like it is actually doing something.

I can’t explain it. It is like the perfect in between very abrasive scrubs and those scrubs that feel like nothing. Also, there is NO overpowering fragrance, doesn’t break me out and does not sting. Please try it!.

This is the first cleanser I re-purchase. I first got this at my local spa, but sadly it closed due to COVID. I’m really happy with this product, it cleans and shrinks the look of my pores and leaves my skin looking tight and polished without drying it.

It’s lasted me a very long time too, and a small amount is all you need. I haven’t tried the other cleansers but this one worked for me and I’m sticking to it. I’ve also used the collagen hydrator and the nutrient toner and will be re-purchasing them too.

I can’t recommend PCA Skin products enough, they are the best products I’ve ever tried and will not put anything on my face if it’s not from PCA.

Very gentle formula, great for sensitive skin. I think I prefer a more gritty exfoliant once to twice a week, rather than one this gentle daily formula as the cellulose beads melt away after a few swipes of the face/chest.

For some this is probably ideal, but I just don’t tend to grab this one off the wall when I know I have flakes.

I’ve been using this toner for about 4 months now and I don’t see myself ever using a different type of toner. I have a health condition that can really dry out my skin, and when that happens it makes my skin so much more hydrated and I feel so much more comfortable.

During the months where my skin tends to go more to the oily side, I feel like my skin is still very well balanced. The ingredients like glycolic acid, hyaluronic acid, and pycnogenol are amazing. Different parts of this contributes different benefits; Exfoliating, hydrating, anti-inflammatory, reduces redness, prevents UV ray damage and UVB wrinkles, and reduces melasma.

It definitely smells like rose/botanical, but the smell becomes less and less noticeable with time regardless of how you feel about it (I’m personally totally fine with how it smells). I’d personally recommend this toner for people who are trying to prevent aging and are aiming to balance their skin hydration.

Anyone who has more irritated or inflamed skin may also benefit from using this. If your skin is super sensitive, you may want to have another toner on standby, but this has so many soothing agents in it I think you’ll be fine.

Note: My first bottle of this toner was free in exchange for social media posts. Since then, I have bought it twice. I’m almost done with my second bottle, which is why I had to buy the Essentials Radiance Toner again.

I have sensitive skin, but I worked my way up to using this daily. Initially I didn’t apply it over the most sensitive parts of my face, and I immediately rinsed my face after using this toner. This was more of a precaution since I never had a reaction.

Now I use it as part of my evening skincare routine. After cleansing my face (usually with the DERMA E CBD cleanser), I pat it dry, and then I apply this with a reusable cotton pad. I let my skin air dry for about a minute before continuing with my routine.

I love how my skin feels and how it looks. Most acids are too strong for my skin, but I’ve never had an issue with this one.

I love this brand. I have rosacea, and I ran out for about a week and my skin was SUPER dry and sensitive for that whole week. I could not figure out why out of the blue and I realized it was probably because i stopped using this scrub while in the shower.

I went to the store and they didn’t have it. So I used other products I had to maybe help in the mean time and nothing worked. so I ordered on Amazon’s and had to wait a few days for it to arrive. LITERALLY just a few days later of using it again.

my skin felt SO much better. I was honestly surprised I have started using the night lotion of this brand and that helped too but the scrub alone did the job and got rid of the dryness on my face. Also I have to wear a face mask for work for 10 hours and my face (cheeks) are still smooth and hydrated.

I highly recommend this specific product if you have sensitive skin/rosacea.

Paula’s Choice is one brand I’ve been stalking, and quite honestly sleeping on for too long. Imagine my surprise when into my email pops a message from a Paula’s Choice social media team member asking for my address to send me some products to try! I couldn’t respond fast enough! I follow so many diehard fans that swear and have visual proof of the changes their products have made.

I have a feeling I’ll be adding more PC products into my life in the very near future! 💙 I’d say what really draws me to this particular brand is their commitment to highly effective, well tested products.

This has been gaining immense acclaim & I am grateful to have gotten to try it as a part of the #happyskincrew These are my honest opinions Details: This uniquely designed liquid exfoliant is formulated with 11.

My experience: For reference I have oily, acne prone, sensitive skin. This is suggested to be used every 2 to 3 days & work up into more frequent use at your skin’s level. I use actives on a regular basis so I wasn’t worried I’d experience any sensitivity but I was wrong.

I applied this as instructed and noticed tingling that turned into slight stinging by the time I had to rinse it off. While my skin is softer & smoother each use, I do also notice my skin is a little red from use.

I also notice my skin looks clearer. While I enjoy this liquid exfoliant for its efficacy in smoothing & softening my skin, I do have caution those with sensitive skin as it can cause tingling & stinging.

Overall: I am glad I got to try this liquid exfoliant. It is effective for clearing my blemish prone skin, smoothing & softening it. I do have to say that each time I’ve used it, even if spaced out with a few days between uses, I notice my skin becomes slightly red & irritated.

I will continue to use but must be careful with how often I use it each week. 3/5.

I recently went for a Paula’s Choice facial at Space NK where they used this mask on me. I already use the 2% BHA exfoliator once a day, which I love and definitely smooths out my skin and gives a glow.

This mask is like a mega version of that – my skin was super soft and SO glowy! Radiant! Safe to say as soon as I saw the results I was sold. There was a small bit of tingling at first but it subsided after about a minute.

I have really bad clogged pores on my inner cheeks and uneven skin texture throughout. I’ve been looking for an exfoliating peel that works to help unclog my pores and give me a smoother texture appearance.

This works! It’s super simple to use. Just put it on evenly for 10 minutes and then it works its magic. It has a really cool texture with a purple hue that went comfortably onto my skin. It has a slight tingly sensation but it feels good.

After rinsing it off, I noticed my pores were basically all clear and my skin texture felt smoother and more even. I am really excited that this works for me and definitely think you should try it out if you’re struggling with the same skin problems as me.

I received this product from my. Skinmedica is a great high end skincare brand that has some amazing products. I have numerous ways of exfoliation but when it comes to scrubs I only use one product which is Murad Aha/Bha Exfoliate Cleanser.

As far as ingredients these two products are very similar. Skinmedica does have some other ingredients for brightening etc. I will say that the jojoba beads in Skinmedica aren’t as fine and there aren’t as many.

Not a negative thing just a difference. It does also have lavender and citrus which I was nervous about because my skin can get easily irritated from essential oils. However, no irritation at all and my skin didn’t feel stripped or dry after.

Definitely like this product, I don’t think anything can make me switch from my Murad but this is definitely a similar product to deep clean my pores, refine them, and improve my skins texture and tone.

Great product!.

I use this maybe twice a week and it seems to do the job. The cleanser has little beads but they are gentle, so they won’t hurt your skin. The cleanser is a gel consistency but lighter. I use this after my regular cleanser so I have a clean face to fluff off the dead skin cells.

After I use this I can feel every imperfection. I can feel all the bumps and pores because it exfoliates so well that your left with well, your skin! Lol Imperfections and all. It definitely makes my skin smooth.

It’s a strong exfoliator but it doesn’t strip my skin. Weird, I know. I don’t think I’ll buy this again because it’s 40$!! Crazy. There are cheaper exfoliating cleansers that are just as good.

My dermatologist recommended the product. Because I have sensitive skin, I started using it once a week and then switched it to three times a week. It is not really abrasive but I like the idea of acclimating to it at the beginning.

The product has made my skin smoother over time, and I will keep using it for sure.

I ordered my second bottle of this mask back in May, and just finished the bottle now. I’ve been using this as a weekly exfoliating mask, but it is not my favorite one I have ever used. It is at a pretty good price point – and I first bought this as a way to start exfoliating at home instead of just when I had the time for a facial (it was recommended to me by a friend with similar skin: sensitive, with rosacea).

After finishing my first bottle; I then tried the Sunday Riley good genes (used as a rinse off 10-min mask) and PTR pumpkin enzyme exfoliating mask. I then bought this again to compare and contrast. As far as price; it is obviously the cheapest and a great option for someone on a budget.

As far as how well it works; I first got this because at the time I had just cleared up a few months worth of hormonal acne (I am not acne prone, this was my first bout with acne and I did not know how to care for it, so I was left with quite a bit of PIH).

I read about how the use of exfoliating can be helpful for healing PIH. In all honesty, out of the three exfoliant masks I’ve used, this has faded my acne scars the most – but – it triggers my rosacea – whereas the SR and PTR I could use on my whole face without causing my rosacea to go nuts.

So, I started only using this on my chin and jaw, but it would still manage to affect the rosacea patches on my cheeks and part of my neck. Since I have faded my acne scars to the point that I want to stop using an ‘intense’ mask 1-2x’s a week, I don’t have plans to purchase this again – as it did what I needed it to do.

If you want to fade acne scars- I definitely recommend this product (but definitely include the use of sunscreen in the morning) but – if you have rosacea, be wary because every time I used it – I had a reaction.

(I just purchased GR watermelon overnight mask with AHA’s to see how that will help with fading remaining bits of PIH without triggering my rosacea).

I had seen this product all over social media, and I finally decided to buy it. It was from a reputable brand, and it was super affordable (probably one of the cheapest chemical peels out there), so I thought to myself: “why not give it a try?” For context, I have skin that’s on the drier side, especially during the winter, and my main problems are redness and the occasional tiny bumps on the bottom of my face.

This product was daunting to me; it’s such a deep shade of red and I’d heard that it stings upon application. I don’t have particularly sensitive skin, but I’d also never done a chemical peel before, so I was scared that it would hurt a lot.

When I actually applied the solution to my dry face with my fingertips after cleansing, it burned a little upon application but then settled into a subtle tingle. I really didn’t use a lot – just a couple drops, giving my skin a rosy pinkish tint (I didn’t want to use too much when first trying it out).

I left it on for 10 minutes, like the instructions said, and then washed it off with lukewarm water. At first, I didn’t really notice a life-changing difference. My skin felt a bit more supple, and there was slightly less redness.

I quickly applied moisturizer, since chemical peels can dry out your face, and when I looked in the mirror ten minutes later, I almost gasped in surprise. My skin looked radiant without being shiny, and almost all of the redness was gone.

The tiny bumps along the bottom of my face and chin were also gone, and I’d been trying to get rid of those with niacinamide for ages. And all of this was only after the first time using this solution.

Since I’m still new to chemical peels, I’ll stick to using this product once a week. I really think that’s all you need, anyways, since the results are so dramatic. This product will also last FOREVER, since you don’t need much.

This is an amazing product for an amazing price, and I’d recommend it to everyone unless you have EXTREMELY sensitive skin.

I didn’t think I was going to like this product, but I do! I have sensitive skin, so I was hesitant, but I had a couple of annoying break outs, so I thought why not give it a try. To all my sensitive skin folks out there, definitely do a patch test first before trying all over your face.

This, like an enzyme face mask, tends to tingle while it’s sitting on the skin. Definitely don’t leave on longer than the recommended 10 minutes. If you have areas of your face that tend to dry out, I would avoid putting it there.

This solution is pretty easy to apply (just make sure not to touch the dropper to your face so bacteria doesn’t grow in the product!), and I just spread it around my face using my hands. It’s easy enough to wash off; you can use water and wash cloth to remove, or sometimes I use a gentle toner to take it off.

I find that using this peeling solution 2-3 times a week really helps with any sebum issues and prevents/controls break-outs. Again, this is a very strong product, so I think it’s best to patch test before using normally.

The one to remember with this peeling solution is to make sure you apply at the bathroom counter because it can stain due to the purple-ish red color. That way, if you splatter any or get it on something, you can wipe it up quickly.

Yes, it can stain clothes, so I especially like to apply this product after I shower to eliminate the risk of getting it on what I’m wearing. It does look a little scary when you put it on your face and reminds me of those blood facials I’ve seen people do! So if you’re expecting company or someone knocks on your door while you have it on, it might give them a little bit of a scare! 😅 Considering this peeling solution’s effectiveness, ease of use, results, and cost, I give it 5 stars and recommend buying it if you’re in the market for a good AHA + BHA product.

My teenage daughter and I use this scrub. I have extremely sensitive skin from having suffered with eczema as a child and my daughter has early teen prone slightly oily pimpled skin. Our experience has been great, it exfoliates really well and leaves my skin feeling smooth, moisturised, smells wonderful of citrus and a feeling of light cleansed skin.

To note, with black skin products can often leave the skin feeling dehydrated, tight and dry but not this skin product. I chose to compliment this product with Marula and Rosehip oil as part of a night time routine.

I use this product once a week and the extreme version one a fortnight. My teenage daughter uses the nip fab face wash also and loves both these products. The scrub does the same job on her skin and has helped with oil production control and contributes towards her clearer skin.

We have been using this product for 8 months now and I wouldn’t go back to the dermalogica face scrub I had used for 8 years. I started using this brand during lockdown following some research. Not everyone’s choice but works for us and still enjoying after 8 months.

A must have. One of the best scrubs on the market. Skin feels like marble after use. Has great clean smell too. I have used this for years, firm favorite out of my the selection of scrubs on the market.

Staple of my skin care routine and my face feels smooth with a deep cleansed aftermath. Gentle but powerful you will notice a different. I also sufferer from shaving rash and I swear using this on my neck has massively reduced redness and outbreaks.

When it comes on offer I stock up, be lost without this miracle scrub in my routine.

Read the reviews saying its lost its exfoliating consistency but still decided to order as I’ve had no disappointment with any other nip+fab product. However after trying this for the first time not sure what these other reviews were on about! Maybe they changed their formula back after the criticisms but this is definitely a rough exfoliant, kind of the texture of fine sand, really scrubs off the dead skin without stripping any moisture/oils and works great in combo with the nip+fab moisturisers and serums.

Haven’t used it long term yet so can’t speak on whether it gets rid of blackheads after prolonged regular use but it has really smoothed out my overall skin texture so far <3.

I LOVE this product! I have gone through so many trying to find one similar, and NONE come close! Has the PERFECT amount of little gritty scrubbies for deep clean feeling. Could dry out your skin if used too often or you don’t naturally have oily skin, or without a moisturizer.

The only downside I can say is that Clinique products are only sold at select stores, and a little on the expensive side. But after using it, It’s worth the $. Everyone has certain things they love and can’t be substituted, this is one of those items for me.

I have BAD breakouts more as an adult than ALL of my teen years combined, I think due to hormone levels. if you’re wanting a good facial scrub with the nitty-grittys like soft sandpaper ;). it gently removes that layer of yuck you don’t want and leaves your skin soft, smooth, and CLEAN.

Many reviews I’ve read discuss a changed formula, the minty smell missing, a greasy feel, & even discuss the original exfoliator being discontinued!I believe I know EXACTLY what is going on here. I purchased what i believed to be the original Clinique exfoliator, but when I used it, It had all of the above factors as well! I was thoroughly disappointed as I believed that the original exfoliator had been replaced.

However after examining my packaging the tubes does look the same but it has different wording. The exfoliator that I confused with the original was the 7-Day continuous clean Clinique product, NOT the original minty smell, fine grit, and exceptionally clean feeling after using it product I have come to LOVE!SO if you are one who believe you purchased an improper it redesigned exfoliator product, PLEASE DO check the labeling & be sure that you did not accidentally purchase the 7-Day cleanser and not the original Clinique exfoliator!!!Hope this helps those of you who are concerned with having received and improper product!They do look awfully similar! I made the mistake of doing it, so I wanted to help out other consumers who might have done so as well!.

THis product is nothing like it used to be and in a smaller container. It has no refreshing feeling like it used to in the 1990 and 2000’s. Its like dirt. I use baking soda now to get a really good scrub and follow up with a good soap.

This product has become a disapointment. Sparkle skin is no good any mory either. No tingle. Try using sugar instead and maybe putting some menthol in it. Clinique is really short changing us on the scrubs.

The soaps are still great and the lotions are awesome. But This.

I liked this exfoliator! I have been using it at night a couple times a week for a few weeks now. I have an oily T-zone with a little dryness on my cheeks, especially during the drier winter months. I have a little bit of discoloration from plucking chin hairs and from the odd hormonal pimple on my chin.

After using this exfoliator, the spots have lightened up a little. The blackheads on my nose have also become slightly less noticeable up close. I will say, the acids are a bit strong, and tend to sting a little around my nose.

I use it sparingly and use the Saffron + Oat Milk Serum to soothe the areas of my face that have any irritation. Overall, I feel like this exfoliator gives a really nice glow and toned down some of my redness immediately after use.

I purchased WLDKAT’s ginger kombucha toner and fell in love with it and decided that I was going to try more from their brand. This liquid exfoliator is that one item I did not think I needed in my skincare routine but did.

I use this every other day after cleansing / before toning and it has helped fade my acne scarring that would not budge otherwise. so I’m happy. 🙂 I’ve also noticed my dark spots neutralizing with the rest of my skin tone which makes me want to confidently walk around with my bare face again.

Good stuff! Lastly, this is on the package but please avoid using this on your eye area, I’ve experienced a burning sensation by doing so. Buy with confidence. this brand keeps it simple by the amount of items they sell but they’re all wonderfully effective without the nasties and also they make packaging that can either be reused or recycled so big win!.
