20 Best Chicken Coop Deodorizer (2022 Updated)

My cat decided to use my rug as a potty when I was pregnant and the first few months of the new baby’s life. I spent hours carpet cleaning and still the smell would be there no matter how many times I scrubbed, washed or soaked.

I bought this and it did the trick! It almost immediately got rid of old cat pee smell and actually left the rug smelling nice. Much friendlier of a scent than the Nature’s Miracle products I’ve tried.

Doesn’t mask the odor, I highly recommend this product to anyone who like me has tried it all with no success.

I am renovating a house. When i say the pet urine smells were AWFUL. I mean it was BAD. I am not laying flooring until i get the smell out so it doesnt get trapped between the layers. I was hoping this product would actually worked and after spraying 3 times its almost gone! I will be spraying 2 more times just for good measure and floor will be laid.

Ok, I have an older lab who recently was put on a medication for congestive heart failure. It gets rid of the fluid around his heart and because it is a diuretic he has to go more often. In his 12 yrs.

he’s never had an accident in the house and it wasn’t on my radar to watch for places he might have gone. Well, it was on a much loved 6×9 area rug under my dining room table. I didn’t find it until the odor started and thought I’d have to throw out the rug.

I searched online and found this product. I took the rug to my carport and went over it with my carpet clearing machine (a light weight non commercial type) using the odercide mixed 4 oz to a half gallon of warm water.

The trick is to saturate whatever you’re cleaning; let the solution stay on the rug until it somehow attacks the smell. I did this several times and then hung it outside to dry. After it was completely dry I hosed the entire rug with water and once again let it dry.

I also wiped the solution over the floor where the rug had laid. Yes, it was a lot of work, but I was determined to see if I could save the rug and I did. There is now a slight fragrance, but absolutely no urine smell.

This was an extreme case and the Odorcide worked.

The ammonia odor in my chicken run after a cold wet winter and layers of straw were removed was overwhelming. Sprinkled this product directly on the ground, and it completely eliminated the odor. Plus, the chickens enjoyed scratching around in it which helped work it in.

Couldn’t have been easier! Two thumbs up!.

This product really works! I have 5 hens and their coop was getting pretty smelly even with regular cleaning of their bedding, so I tried this product that a friend recommended – and the nasty ammonia smell went away almost instantly.

I highly recommend this product for anyone who wants to keep a nice smelling hen house/coop. And the bag goes along way too, you don’t have to use very much.

I really like this refresher for the coop because it has a very pleasant smell. It works better than anything else I have used.

I first tried PDZ’s stall refresher, after being unsatisfied with other products, and it was extremely effective. When I found out that they also have a coop refresher I had to give it a try, and I wasn’t disappointed.

Pet waste is always gross, so are trash cans that hold trash and bagged pet waste. Sometimes they can smell. One product that helps combat the gross smell is Simple Green Outdoor Odor Eliminator. The solution is in a bottle that attaches to your garden hose so you have a mixture of water and solution to spray.

The directions make it easy to attach the sprayer. I washed all the dog soiled areas in my yard and inside my trash cans. I waited an hour and rinsed the all the areas including inside the trash cans.

As a result, all the odors were gone and I have now clean trash cans along with a nice smelling backyard. Simple green removes tough stains and odors easy. I’m a fan.

Love this product! Trying to appease the next door neighbor who complains that she smells dog urine from our 3 big girls, a Golden, a Pitt/Boxer/Shepherd, and a Great Pyrenees. We have spent a fortune on other products and 50-lb bags of sand.

Space is limited in the backyard and houses are close together. So we welcomed trying this product and are thrilled to have it really work! The Simple Green is diluted with water and sprayed all over the dirt and sand.

So far so good. It has proven to be an odor deterrent and seems to be working for these many weeks we have used it. Other great news is that purchasing through Chewy is much more cost-effective and items are shipped directly to us, rather than the local pet store with prices considerably higher.

Though having dogs, especially big ones, is a lot of work, we love them dearly and they are worth whatever it takes. This Simple Green product sure makes it easier!!.

This one is the best I’ve used! I first used this one last summer. I bought another brand this summer because where I went didn’t have the simple green & it was a waste of money; didn’t eliminate any smell! So I went back to Petco & picked up a gallon of the simple green! It has a pleasant scent right away which is a plus AND it elminated the “barnyard” smell I had going on! I had a small pool in my back yard (that from trial& error I’ve learned to put tarp down first so the bottom of the pool didn’t get funky, stinky).

Because of the pool sitting in the grass not aerating the funk from my dogs waste festers and when you pull the pool up the stench will knock you out. So I spray the eliminator down before pool placement & after! Works wonders.

Impressive results! We just got a puppy so I needed to eliminate her accidents on all my scatter rugs, and I saw this product. So I didn’t use it yet on an accident but my husband tried in his hiking boots that he kept in the garage they stink so badly! It worked!!! They probably would have smelled better with the other version but I purchased the pet one 1st.

I’m going to buy the other fabric one now, since Lysol and febreze didn’t work this well. Highly recommended!.

The title of this review says it all. This stuff is absolutely AMAZING!!! I didnt think it would work, but it does. For starters, I bought this to help cut down on that cat urine smell in the litter boxes.

However, I do not just use this stuff for just that, but also, for my outdoors. Where I live, there is a huge stray cat population. I help care for a good portion of the cats that are on my street. My hub & I choose a couple cats a year, & take them to get them fixed, along with their shots, before releasing them back, or find them forever homes(I’d keep them, but Ive got 5 already that weve given forever homes to).

Well, if you have this kinda thing going on where you live, or are just a cat owner, with a cat in litter training, then you understand how very powerful male cat urine can be, when they all start marking their territory.

Well, like I said, this stuff is amazing! It was real bad outside our house. I took this spray & I sprayed everything down. the garbage cans, the shrubery, our doors, & even the foundation on our house.

I couldn’t believe it! But, within minutes the smell was gone & stayed gone. Its the rainy season here, & even with the rain, the smell stays gone. So, if you are looking for something that absolutely takes away that cat urine smell, look no further than this, absolutely amazing product.

Sure you’ve got to reapply it, if they mark the area again, but its not a deterant. Just one simple squirt & its gone again. It is a must have for every cat lover out there. I’ve found it works for other smells too.

I use it now & then to eliminate stale odors out of my furniture.

This stuff literally saved us from having to rip up the carpet in the finished basement of our new home. Our two cats’ litter boxes were in there and after a while we realized they were peeing on the carpet.

The urine smell became pretty awful. We tried everything. rented a rug cleaning machine and used multiple different products — foams, powders, etc. Nothing got rid of the smell, they all just seemed to mask it with an overwhelmingly floral or other scent.

We were literally at the point of looking into pricing for other flooring options and planning to rip up the carpet, when I found this stuff and said let’s try this one last product. I’m so glad we gave it a try because IT WORKED A MIRACLE! We also used the regular formula (got the refill size after we had used up two spray bottles of the pet stuff).

There is no smell anymore, even if we put our noses up to the carpet. It leaves a slight bleach smell at first which later disappears (along with the urine smell!) This may be more expensive than other products, but it’s worth it and certainly beats having to rip up and replace your carpet.

This product is superb! It does the job exactly like it is supposed to. I originally ordered a block of the ClenAir for my daughter’s furnace. She moved into an old home that had the old furnace ducts and had a terrible old musty smell.

Within 3 days time, that smell was totally gone. Totally amazing it worked that fast. I just purchased a used car. The previous owner was a smoker. I bought the mini ClenAir as well as the 1/2 lb. tub and 1 lb.

Absolutely loved this product! Same day results! We have FIVE doggies and sprays for the turf just wasn’t cutting it. On hot days the smell outside was unbearable. So I think, I will have two buy a second bottle just due to the size of my yard but! It works. I have noticed a change in it and as long as there is not fresh poops you can’t smell anything. And also why buy the others when its toxic for you and you’re dog!.

I applied a few times to my lawn, and it still smelled terrible. My German shepherd uses one area in the yard to pee and I spray it regularly with the water hose. still didn’t see any difference. Waste of money.

This thing works great to get the stink out of the floors a pet can leave. I have a cat that is having issues with her kidneys (she’s 15 years old). We love her dearly, but she’s been peeing on our floors for a while now.

It’s almost impossible to get that rancid smell off the floor, but Angry Orange does it. These days we’ve been keeping her outside in our yard so if she has to do her business she can do it out there.

She has a bed out there under a gazebo which makes her very comfortable. She’s an indoor/outdoor cat, so she has no problem staying outside. When we let her stay inside we have to keep a close eye on her because she deliberately avoids using the litterbox unless she knows we’re looking at her.

It’s not like she can’t use it. Her vet says she has a behavioral problem.

My dog had an accident on the carpet. I usually use a different cleaner, but it didn’t completely remove the urine spot according to my black light. I had heard tons of good things about this cleaner wanted to give it a try.

I found it at target for $20. I used my black light thoroughly saturated the stain. I let it sit overnight then used my carpet cleaner to suck everything up in the am. I also went over it with just water.

Shockingly, NOTHING!! There are no stains when I tested with the blacklight!! Definitely recommend! Just make sure you give it plenty of time to work! Oh it smells good, like one of those orange cream Popsicles.

doesnt work. i hesitated to pay $20 for a cleaner. but nothing seemed to work. i sprayed entire area, very strongborange smell, ok nit awful not great , after it dried and settled down smellled like orange cat urine.

shampooed area adding bleach to shamppo. better, re sprayed while carpet still. damp. checked later, didnt smell cat pee. door to room closed all day and night. next morning checked. idor still thete about an eight of bottle used.

just diesnt work. this was second enzyme cleaner i tried. dont waate $20. it doesnt work on cat urine. so $10 on other one, $20 on angry orange = $30 wasted.

I usually use pdz in my coop but wanted something to repel insects and keep the coop smelling fresh. We’ve had a lot of wet weather This fall and I’m glad I bought this when i did. The girls coop is nice and dry and the scent lasts at least a week or more.

I will say the photo of the product is deceiving as it is not a large container but a little goes a long way and I mix it with pdz into the bedding. I love the lemon grass and eucalyptus scent and I can see myself using this this in areas of my home –like trash containers and such, so there’s a lot of bang for my buck!.

I only give this four stars because of the size. I should have paid more attention as I thought it was the size of maybe a container of cat littler. It is very tiny and you are directed to apply liberally a couple of times a week which means you will be buying it often.

Does it work? Yes. But the cost is a little steep to apply so often. It smells lovely. If you don’t mind the price, give it a shot.

With all this rain lately my chicken coops and runs are a mess. I’ve been sprinkling the Zen House in the fresh hay and nesting pads for my chickens, the smell is refreshing and clean. I also sprinkled some of this in my clean litter boxes for my cats yesterday before filling with clean kitty litter.

I’ll definitely be purchasing this again!.

We have 120 meat birds and the coop they were in smelled horrible. We bought 3 of these and spread around. It takes the smell away for a few days but it has since returned. I think its the number of birds we have not a defulted product.

This product works! I use it in my hen house and I have a fenced in Pea Graveled yard that I use it on. I just sprinkle it on the gravels and turn them over. I greatly helps with the odor especially when the weather is humid or rainy.

This product is easy to use and safe for my hens. I love it!.

We have been using this product since we got our first set of chicks in March. We love how it kept the odor down in their coop all during the hot summer. It made the chore of cleaning the coop much more pleasant.

I also like the fact that when we compost the shavings/droppings that it helps with odor in the compost heap as well. I shall continue to use this product!.

Zen House is an easy way to make the coop smell nice. And when the hens scratch around the scent gets activated again. Helps keep the flies away, too!

This “bottle” will ONLY handle ONE coop cleaning!!!! For the price, it’s NOT worth it, but I haven’t tried it yet as I JUST received it today!! I’m HOPING that it does as it’s advertized to do!!!!!

This is good to leave your coop smelling fresh and clean. Very easy to use. The bags are small and with weight.

I’ve tried everything- enzymes, bleach, peroxide, vinegar pet specific, non pet specific for pet odor or a combo of alllll the above out of desperation and most recently, MUSTY NASTY BASEMENT. 20 years of fighting the sniff tests and Odorxit WORKS on both.

old cat spray from UTI and territory. better than Jackon G’s solution (sorry Jackson I still love you). My 6 year old basement increasingly became more musty esp after a few cracks (repaired) and a sump pump failure.

The failure was ‘only’ about 1/2-1 inch of water in half of of 1000 sq ft unfinished basement but the smell was creeping up the stairs. I could smell the basement from the top of the steps. I stumbled across this youtube channel one day and called the direct #.

I spoke to Marty who took the time to talk to me for more than an hour EVERY TIME I CALLED and explained things in layman’s terms so I could understand what the heck I needed to do. We obviously had a mold/mildew issue that was hidden.

We also had HORRIBLE allergic reactions to the unseen mold/mildew in the basement to the point we thought we were going nuts and were taking allergy medicine 2x the dosage requirements- headaches, eye aches, sleeping issues, body aches.

all the textbook stuff. The AQM packets worked in my basement within 24 hours. Allergies subsided to normal seasonal allergies within a few days. I literally cannot believe it. I have not taken an allergy pill in a week now that I think of it! OMG! No, I’m not paid nor was I given any product for free.

Oh and I sprayed a nasty teenage boy’s room too— and boom smell gone. Forget Febreeze. just stop. I spent at least over 1k over the last 20 years on odor stuff. forget it! just get this. I am a customer for life.

This stuff is amazing!!! A recommendation from a dear friend, eliminates numerous odors. The greatest benefit is you can use this directly on your pet to remove the odor, will not hurt the dog. Would highly recommend this product.

I had extreme cat urine in a home purchase with approximately 20 cats in the house I would bet , even the carpet tack strip next to the walls was so soaked with cat urine that they were soaked and disintegrating.

I mixed it thinner (2-3 ounces per gallon) than what the directions recommended and it still worked very well. within hours I could tell the smell was going to go away The smell of odorxit was nothing bad at all it smelled slightly minty maybe like a commercial cleaner would smell.

I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. good for all nice landlords who get lied to about pets !!!!!.

Great product. My cat has bad aim, loose stools, and a preference for rugs. He makes messes that no cleaner on earth could erase in a single application. This cleaner comes closer than anything else I’ve tried.

Some stains disappear immediately; others need more work, but it’s easier with this cleaner. I only wish 3 tablets were included with the initial purchase of bottle + tablets, rather than 2, because I go through a lot of this stuff.

Wow!!! I am so impressed with this cleaner. I have had cats for 52 years and have used so many cleaners over the years and nothing seems to work well, and most leave a putrid odor afterwards. Jackson gave me this free bottle with purchase and I am in awe.

It took up vomit stains that I have treated with other cleaners as well as a carpet cleaner. This actually took the spots up finally. There is no odor that is extreme at all. It is definitely safe for people and animals.

I have adopted a cat in the past year and it’s been a lovely experience! I have used Jackson Galaxy’s stain and odor remover three times for an upset tummy (which has been resolved so far) and it worked wonderfully! No stain on my carpet, no stain left on my couch and no stain on my couch pillow :).

I purchased this on the recommendation of my veterinarian who uses this product in his office when his patients have accidents. I have a very senior kitty who recently had some issues and started using random places of my floors and carpet as his potty.

I used several different enzyme cleaners to rid the spots of the scent so that he would not repeatedly go back there and do his business, but they had scents that were extremely overpowering for me and did not prevent him from going back there.

When I mentioned this to my Vet, he recommended this product. So far I am very pleased with it because it has a very light clean scent which I don’t find hard to deal with. In all fairness I just started using it, so it still remains to be seen if it will prevent him from going back to the treated spots.

I also purchased the carpet shampoo and used that as well, so far so good for both. We have had no new out of litter box issues.

With a household of both cats and dogs (owning/dogsitting/fostering), you can imagine lots of accidents are bound to happen. Having longhaired cats, hairballs, and one that likes to go outside of the litter box when he’s “mad” at me for being gone too long, I need a good enzyme cleaner for all the messes that are made! The Nature’s Miracle Advanced Stain and Odor eliminator gets the job done.

I can literally see the stain breaking down when I spray this, and then I blot it up. I took off one star because the scent is overwhelming for me, and I’m not a fan. I have a sensitive nose, and the smell of it just reminds me that this is a pet household where accidents happened.

If they could make it a more subtle scent, I’d be happy. Although maybe the reason why the fragrance is so strong is to cover up the smell, so who knows.

Hate how foamy it is. Just sits on the surface instead of soaking in. The truly original Nature^s Miracle contained a little alcohol to break up the surface tension, and worked as well sprayed as poured.

This version uses a ^surfactant^ that is more like a detergent. It is sudsy when agitated, and it leaves a slightly sticky residue when it dries. It^s gross and I hate it. Please bring back the true original formula!.

I love this stuff. I keep a gallon on hand at all times. I keep a spray bottle for cleaning up pet messes–it works particularly well on cat vomit. It is also effective against small human potty training accidents and does a good job in the laundry, too.

If I could snap my fingers and give it one magic improvement, it would be to make it work better/faster on cat urine. That would make it perfect. As it stands, this is an excellent product with a pleasant scent.

Safe for nearly all surfaces and it’s okay for ALL animals to be around! This is even a stain remover that can be applied to clothes! So not only does it clean up pet messes but it can remove laundry stains! The cat yaked a hairball on my favorite blanket that also had some orange mushed food in the mix.

I sprayed this liberally over the stain and rubbed the sides of the soaked fabric together where the stain was to ‘work’ the solution in to the fibers of the fabric and then I left it sit for about 5-10 minutes before throwing it in the wash.

It took the stain out of the light gray colored blanket! I couldn’t even tell where the vomit originally happened so I did a sniff test and smelled nothing but a clean blanket! I love this stuff and always make sure we keep it around.

I used the herbs and the zeolite absorbing minerals and it was incredible. The smell gone in one day . No ammonia smell . Just fresh . Makes raising baby chicks in the house pleasant .

I love these dried herbs for my nesting boxes. The girls love the fresh sent and it helped attract my young hens to the nesting boxes when they started laying. Love it!
