20 Best Chicken Stock Concentrate (2022 Updated)

Walmart use to sell this but they no longer carry it. They have other products for flavoring chicken but they do NOT compare to Kitchen Accomplice chicken broth. I wish more stores would carry this. It is the best product because it goes on smooth and does not have a bitter bite to it.

It has an authentic taste. I have tried them all after Walmart quit selling Kitchen Accomplice and I could not find it in any other grocery store. And I mean I tried them all. Spent much money and did not get a quality product.

Please don’t ever stop selling this product.

I have recently bought this beef broth at Walmart I drink it when my stomach is upset it is very close to the ones that you can make yourself. I see and taste and feel it is an excellent product very good drinkable.

sure hope I can find it at Walmart next week. will buy at least 2.

I love this product it has a shelf life of 6 months in the fridge after opening. It is concentrated so I can extra flavor to soups and casserols, I love to squiggle it over things as a finishing topper also.

My daughter was very sick and she enjoyed making a quick cup of tasty soup that didn’t require much effort. I have added to homemade sauses and gravies for extra flavor. It is very handy to have once I remembered it was in my fridge.

It isn’t available in most grocery stores here in rural Vermont and I couldn’t remember exactly where I had bought it– so I was thrilled to find it at Thrive.

Call me old fashion, but I had still been using those solid cubes to make my stock. I am so darn happy that Knorrs makes this concentrated form, as it make cooking easier for me. Making it is a breeze.

just put a cup of water in the microwave (to get hot) while I am gathering for meal items together and then I can just add some of this stock, stir and pour in my dinner. Super simple and what a time saver.

The flavor is quite nice and of course you can control the amount you put in to achieve your preferred taste. The consistency depends on the amount you create, by mixing the HOT water and amount of the stock.

I use the 1 cup HOT water to 1tsp stock (thats slightly less than the bottle says, but its what I find we like best). I definitely have switched over to this, from the cubes!.

I have loved using Knorr powder seasonings for years, especially the chicken flavor. My mother and grandmother both used Knorr in so many delicious favorite dishes, authentic Mexican food dishes to be exact.

🙂 This Knorr Beef Concentrated Stock is another wonderful addition to seasoning my homemade recipes. It’s a great alternative to using regular salt. I use it in meatloaf, soups, steaks before grilling, etc.

Any time I get complimented on my food, I realize Knorr is the common secret ingredient that I’ve added, even if a recipe does not originally include it. I appear to be a great chef even if I’m really a mediocre cook.

We tried this for the first time tonight. Usually Knorr has very good products. Made gravy using this product. It was bitter and not very good. Will go back to buying regular stock or making my own. Too many ingredients listed to try to figure out what the bitter taste is.

Also contains bio-engineered ingredient. Left a strange coating in our mouths.

I just bought a case of Kitchen Basics Unsalted Chicken stock, expiration 7-17-23, 02D17 2D 35 CB2-1. There is a very strange taste to this lot and it does not smell appetizing at all. I have a cup of this almost every day and add it to soups, etc.

The ingredients look the same but I wonder if the manufacturer changed a source of chicken stock or honey, etc. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT.

Swanson has always been the best tasting broth and stock of every brand we have tried. And even America’s test kitchen on blind, repeated taste test agreed. This product has genuine chicken and vegetables and lower salt than every brand tested against it.

We have tried a very many number of store and popular brands because the cost of Swanson products have been rising for nearly a decade now. ( even before Covid ) It’s getting so expensive for our family but quality has never suffered.

Frankly nobody beats Walmart’s day to day price. ( as of 11/21 the canned product is. 49 a can at a leading National store chain on discount) But for families nearly always can you count on Walmart and Sam’s club for the best prices and range of brands available.

I buy Swanson Chicken Stock often. It is very useful in recipes and has a good flavor. I do like the easy pour package because it stores easily in the fridge. I do find that the canned product is cheaper, but it doesn’t store as easily, so you can think about how much you intend to use and buy the appropriate package.

I will continue to buy this brand because it is very cost friendly and a delicious addition to recipes. I would recommend trying this brand and look forward to trying other flavors.

This is perfect especially if you don’t need all the broth. I use it when I am cooking salmon and veggies. I pour a small amount of olive oil in the pan, sprinkle ground peppercorn, sea salt, garlic with sea salt creole seasoning on salmon.

Sear the salmon skin side down first on both sides for like 3 minutes. The pour broth in pan with lid let shimmer for3 or 4 minutes on both sides. Then add Birdseye medley wth broccoli, 🥕, squash zucchini.

Add more chicken broth to pan for 5 minutes. Then remove salmon let veggies simmer in broth and add Kikkoman Stir-Fry Sauce to thicken up sauce. Drizzle over salmon and remove veggies. Also good over rice.

Although I normally use Kitchen Basics Original Chicken Stock or Swanson’s Natural Goodness Chicken Broth (both excellent), we bought this product. The concept and economy of an all-natural, easy-to-store concentrate was appealing.

I was genuinely disappointed. In my opinion, this doesn’t smell or taste like chicken at all. In fact, we found the smell and taste quite unpleasant, even foul. The bottle was absolutely in date and freshly opened.

I strongly recommend Swanson’s Natural Goodness or Kitchen Basics over this product.

It took a lot of trial and error, but I can honestly say that Rachael Ray’s Chicken Stock consistently performs better than any market stock. Only the laborious labor of love, homemade from scratch chicken stock performs better, but for the price and convenience of Rachael’s stock, it’s no contest.

Stock was the worst I have ever tried. Herb taste was way too strong. Leave the herbs out and let the cook add herbs as desired. Would not buy again.

There’s a definate difference between Chicken Broth and Chicken Stock! Once you have tried Chicken Stock, you’ll never go back to using Broth. Chicken Stock is richer. It enhances so many dishes, i. e.

soups, sauces or anything else that normally calls for plain broth. Rachael Ray’s is the best quality and Walmart has the best price I’ve found. Definately worth trying!.

i bougth this item on 02/19/20 and received on 02/21/20 the product expiration date is 12/29/2020. I was not happy with the near expiration date but I though It might be ok. I have not used it until 03/19/20 (last Thursday) I used half of the box to cook my vegetable soup.

After finished eating my soup I started having an abdominal pain and diarrhea. The stomach cramp and nausea have continued without my knowledge of what’s wrong with the soup. Until yesterday afternoon I found the reason.

When felt hungry as not eating anything besides green tea + ginger and oatmeal, I poured out the rest of the chicken broth box to cook instant noodle then to my horror there were 2 big ugly brownish/yellowish pieces of residues ( see photos).

Swanson is the chicken broth product I preferred to other brand but this time I am totally disappointed. I called Walmart. com customer service to report the issue but had to give up after waiting nearly 1 hour.

I then called Swanson after-hour 877-869-5633 for urgent comment hope that they could recall their product in time. One lady responded to my call with the unreluctant voice advised me to call back on Monday.

Afer heard my systoms she said someone would call me today but I have never heard from them. My stomach cramp and nausea still go on. AVOID BUYING THIS SWANSON UNSALTED CHICKEN PRODUCT.

I’ve tried a few organic broths, & I either don’t like the flavor, or they cause an allergic reaction in me. The flavor of this is really excellent- perfect for any use. Nothing in the taste stands out too much (like onion, garlic, etc)- the chicken is the star.

perfectly balanced. I have many food allergies, & I don’t get any reaction from this. I keep my cupboard stocked with this, & Vitacost makes that very easy. Highly recommend this.

I have tried most of the organic chicken broth brands out there. This is my personal favorite. It has a heartier flavor and best of all doesn’t contain any ingredients that bother my stomach.

is a pantry staple for me, most of the time. I enjoy the homemade taste and the fact that it’s made from organic chicken and other organic ingredients. I’m glad they offer this unsalted version, because I like to use my preferred non-gmo sea salt and the amount I choose for my liking.

There are no added proteins or MSG. Majority of ingredients are sourced locally to Pacific Foods (Oregon) and regionally. Another perk that comes along with this, is the carton packaging, being BPA free and the fact it’s not in a can.

oh, and they are a peanut free facility as well. These are just a few great reasons to buy and consume Pacific Foods products.

OK – I am spoiled by homemade broth and stock, but we eat very little meat and poultry so I don’t get enough bones to make real broth or stock very often. Pacific is about the best I’ve found, but it is not “good enough” to just drink a cup of the stuff.

It is, however, superior in taste to the really expensive brands which have more protein – but that extra protein is added gelatin which gives the broth a nasty taste. I also use Imagine brand from time to time, but slightly prefer the Pacific brand, for what it is.

This is a staple in my pantry! I love cooking from scratch, but on busy weekdays I use this in place of homemade stock for delicious 30-minute meals. It is a great low-sodium foundation for soups and stews, for boiling or sautéing veggies, even steaming rice! It feels good to know the ingredients are organic.

Skim fat off surface. My recipe: Go to store and buy Swanson Chicken Broth. We used our Swanson Chicken Broth to make classic and hearty chicken noodle soup and it was so easy to make already have the cooking liquid prepared.

I read on the label that Swanson uses a double stock recipe to make their broth which includes a process of clarifying the liquid and fortifying the flavor which produces a more delicious end result.

We started our chicken noodle soup by sautéing our vegetables in oil and then added our seasonings and chicken to the sauté pan. We added the Swanson Chicken broth and brought it up to a boil at which time we added like noodles and cooked until al dente.

The broth infused its flavor in the noodles and complimented the sautéed vegetables on the soup. It would be great if we all had the time and resources to make broth at home but for the real world we sometimes need shortcuts and I would recommend Swanson Chicken broth whenever you need to boost flavor in any dish you make.

I would also recommend the Campbells website, it has some great recipes to use Swanson Chicken broth in like Sesame Sriracha Chicken Stir-Fry, Garlic Sautéed Green Beans and Bourbon Pecan Hasselback Sweet Potatoes.

I got this swanson chicken broth as a complimentary from Influenster and Swanson for my honest opinion and to be honest I didn’t think the one box container of broth would be enough to make anything for my family so I bought a larger one (which I was right and glad I did).

I made a chicken soup but I also wanted to make something other than that so I made a homemade chicken and veggie rice a roni. It all came out amazing (I got pictures of the soup but unfortunately didn’t get pictures of the rice a roni because when I stepped out my kid’s ate it before I could take a picture, it wasn’t much but it would of been a great picture).

This broth is very tasty, easy to use, easy to open, goes great cooking in multiple dishes and its perfect to cook something fast instead of waiting to make a homemade broth. I will definitely be buying more since I’m now all out.

I was super excited to be receiving Swanson’s broth to try and review as part of the Swanson’s voxbox. I make a lot of soup all year round, so this was definitely a product I was bound to use a lot. I received the chicken broth, which is perfect because I use chicken as my soup base most often.

Last weekend we got a fluke late-season snowstorm, so I pulled this out to make a cozy chicken noodle soup. GAME CHANGER! the chicken stock was super flavorful and not watery at all, which I think is due to the unique double stock recipe.

What I also liked about Swanson’s was the recipes that were highlighted on the back. I used the Swanson website to recreate their “Sensational Chicken Noodle Soup. ” It was great! I did take away a star because the level of sodium was incredibly high.

I compared the Swanson’s brand to two other brands of chicken stock I have at home (Kirkland and aldi brand) and it had the highest sodium percentage of the three by a long shot. To compare, Swanson’s had 37% whereas Aldi brand had 22% and Kirkland had 18%.

While I know the additional sodium added to the overall flavor, I think it’s important to highlight the difference for those who are watching their sodium intake. Otherwise, my soup turned out delicious, and the stock was very good!.

I love this, I stock up ever time I’m in Littleton, Co but during my last visit they were out of the chicken could only get beef! That’s when I found out I can order! Love your products!

The Chicken Broth had a strange flavor, and I had to throw out the recipe I was doing. I love Savory Spice’s other products, however.

When I need chicken gravy and don’t have any of my homemade bone broth, this is perfect. And I like that it’s low sodium and I can season as I want

I wish I could say I created some magnificent soup with this. And when I saw I was going to receive this I had visions of Chicken and Dumplings running through my head. The reality however ended up being that I got this in the mail 3 days before we had a stomach bug hit the house.

My broth was put to medicinal use then! Though I must say if it’s good just out-of-the-box, when you’re feeling queasy, then it’s going to be pretty awesome used in a recipe when you feel great. I received the low sodium broth.

Let’s talk frankly, we all want a healthy version of our favorites that will taste exactly the same as the yummy, less healthy option. Of course that’s impossible to recreate without the exact same ingredients.

So that out of the way I can say this had a good flavor. I’m certainly conditioned to taste and enjoy more salt, but this was pretty good. I could switch permanently and be happy. Not feel I lost anything.

Really rich and meaty flavor. I even was able to water it down for our sensitive tummies at the time and it still tasted dang good. Definitely still on my to do list to make those Chicken and Dumplings and a new box of broth is already waiting in my pantry!.

This is my second order of this. Unlike the first order, this order is POORLY packed so two out of 24 came leaked. It should be easily observed by the delivery person because is came wet (I. e. box), but they still drop this box in front of our porch without ring the bell, and leave.

For the small amount lose, it is not worth my time to claim anything. But, Walmart should improve the package technique: This order has 24 units with 32 Oz liquid each. For 48 pounds total weight, Walmart should use heavier duty box to pack it, and, at least, mark HEAVY on the box if mark FRAGILE is too much trouble for Walmart warehouse person.

It is not only help the buyer to get in-damaged product, it also help your own delivery person without getting hurt when handling your package.

Chicken broth is always on hand for quick meals. I prefer College Inn for the rich taste. My go to quick meal is Chicken Tortellini Soup. Boil the frozen pasta in broth and add cooked chicken and veggies; delicious meal.

Packaging make storage in pantry or refrigerator easy. I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review.

I have used this when I accidentally grabbed the wrong can. Fat is a thing. It’s where the flavor lives. Eat the fat, do some pushups. Don’t sacrifice the best part about food by giving up all flavor.

Moderation in all things. ALL THINGS. So fat is a thing. Eat and be merry. This stuff is gross.

As with the beef stock. So happy to find this as it’s almost impossible in the supermarkets to find anything close. Soups and gravies are easier to prepare now. Other brands have garlic and onions in them, which I can’t have.

Love this chicken stock, again it’s the only one I can be sure contains no onion or garlic etc and it’s very versatile. As well as using it with chicken meals, I use it at Christmas to add flavour to the turkey gravy and it adds richness to the ham gravy.

This is an incredibly good stock. Who needs onions or garlic! So glad I found this as I no longer have to cook an entire chicken to get good stock. Simple, convenient and stores well in the fridge.

I purchase the Swansons Chicken Stock on a regular basis to use when cooking. It adds delicious flavor to meals prepared with it. If I could anything about this product it would be the amount of sodium in the product itself.

As for me, I simply adjust my seasonings as to not add more sodium to whatever I am cooking whenever I use this product. All in all I find it to be a very useful product to always have on hand in the kitchen.

I had purchased the Pacific Organic Chicken Broth when my current brand was unavailable. I was very surprise on well it tasted. There was no after taste and the packaging was very easy to open. I feel this product was just as good as other similar products.

It is definitely on my regular list now.

LOVE! The fact that this chicken stock is organic makes me feel really good about using it regularly when making soup for my family. I feel it’s a safe, reliable brand, with consistently great quality.

The flavor is nice/natural- just the right amount of saltiness.
