20 Best Chinese Chili Oil (2022 Updated)

Look, it tastes pretty good. Does it taste like the jars you can buy in Sichuan, not really. It has elements of it, but it’s pretty far off in terms of flavor profile. The spice level is pretty low in comparison and the overall texture is off.

Regardless, if you’re looking for something to kick your food up a notch, this isn’t a bad option! You can cook with it or throw it on top of noodles or boiled eggs or whatever you want.

You can put this oil with chilli flakes literally on anything and it will provide extra goodness to a dish. It is not spicy at all so anyone can enjoy this product!

Its not all that for the price! Its tiny and its not spicy at all! Its good but not spicy at all just taste like garlic i love garlic but its chili oil so it should be spicy! Ill stick to regular chili oil.

This is too small and too expensive.

Its great for Ramen. Its Upgrade them with a littly Spicy garlicy taste.

I absolutely love this product! I’m a great fan of garlic and love it in most of my foods. So I use this across all cultural food boundaries. It goes good on everything! Only down side is the price has now gone up.

Since I pay for quality, I will continue to repurchase.

The one star is not because the product is bad because it’s actually so delicious, the one star is for the price. I think your taking advantage of the consumer because $7. 00 is definitely way to much, I found this same product at my local Asian store for less than $5.

50, lower your prices, there is no reason for the huge price difference for the same exact product!!!!!!!!.

Who knew Crunchy Garlic in chili oil would taste so delicious. I sure didn’t. Now I know. Please sell this in bigger containers. That’s the only issue I have with it. I want more…

Saw this product on Nigella Lawson show and it’s absolutely fantastic. Not hit as you’d expect but d full of Smokey crispy chilli and onion flavour. I’ve had to hide it as my daughter tried some and it’s half empty already!! Defo buying a few jars of this very soon as it can be used in literally anything to add a bit of flavour and crunch.

This is good on literally almost everything. It has just the right amount of spice. It has a crunch with I really like for texture. Good in soups, pastas, breakfast. Really anything.

This is a great Lao Gan Ma but honestly it’s not as good as the one that we got from China and that had Chinese writing on it. The beans are different and the taste is different. This one has light colored beans whereas the Chinese one had dark beans in it.

It’s just a different take but I much prefer the Chinese one. The Chinese one is highly addictive! It’s so good. It’s 5 stars but this one I give 4 stars.

This stuff is magic, makes boring food I’ve cooked for my kids taste amazing I think I’m addicted to it! It is so strong you only ever need a tiny amount so lasts for ages. Never even concerned myself with expiry dates or use within a certain time to use, I just kept it in the fridge and used when eves.

Doubt if there is any form of bacteria in the known world capable of living in this little jar of nuclear explosions.

Definitely a good quality product. I used to use China Bowl hot oil, but could no longer find it. I saw LKK chili oil and decided to try it and I’m happy I did. First used it on a catfish fillet, on the grill, to provide a cajun flavor.

first class taste. My next try was in a stir fry mix and again I was satisfied. Can’t truly say it was better than the China Bowl product, but I was satisfied that it was at least as good. and the 7 oz size is a plus vs the 5oz CB.

Love chilli oil on top of pretty much anything. I get this one from my local Asian supermarket and it’s a bargain.

This chili oil is flavorful and has a bite. Great chili. Hard to find in stores.

I love oriental cooking of all kinds. Yummy Bazaar has so many products I can’t find locally. I highly recommend the Lo Gan Ma chili sauces. They are all delicious. The orders were shipped rapidly, and extremely well packaged.

Fantastic! Hot oil but not as hot as from a bottle of Chinese hot oil. Loving this stuff, I have probably a demitasse spoon a day or in cottage cheese or whatever else. Very diverse uses.

The absolute best……….a little heat but so much flavor…………please Walmart restock, I am down to my last jar.

Didn’t even realize some of these products came in such teeny tiny sizes! The sauces are airplane alcohol bottle-sized! I assumed “__oz” meant more product, less packaging. These are in very thick glass containers, so the weight must come from that.

I was very surprised to receive the bottle so small looks a lot bigger in the actual photo description but using it on the stir fry your just not getting that chilli taste the sesame seed is killing the smell and the taste.

I expected to use a teaspoon full and get this amazing hot chilli kick no it doesnt do it for me and dont think Ill buy the product again.

I make a three egg with sauteed mushrooms scramble, so delicious! Dipping fork fulls of it into this hot chili sauce kicks it up to the next level.

Love adding this oil to all my cooking to give it a like extra kick in flavor. So glad I found it online.

You can find recipes online that use Chili Oil. I like the Clili Oil with Fermented Black Beans because I love the flavor that the Black Beans lend to Chili Sauce.

Great with soups, egg’s, or just dipping in chips. Love it!

Im addicted to this stuff. Amazingly delicious, hot but not painful, crispy and scrumptious. I put it on everything. With mayonnaise mashed into avocado. On vanilla ice cream.

Love the Chilli sauces! Unique consistency, (thick and crunchy), unique salty chilli flavour! My friend’s wife loves it so much she puts it on toast! Asian Pantry’s service is quick and efficient and the pricing is good!.

This is the product I would choose if I were asked to pick just one condiment for the rest of my life. That is how much I love it. I keep extra bottles with me at all times, so that I never run out. I top almost everything I eat with this oil- all types of dal, pizza, noodles, hummus, chutney, stir fries, porridge, steamed corn- and things are magically transformed with no effort.

I use this chilli oil+Keya peri peri masala as a dip for flatbreads, cheese, khakhra, steamed sweet potatoes, momos etc. Homemade roasted makhana, popcorn, potato fries/wedges coated in a dressing made of this oil+salt+spice/herb powders are some of my favourite go-to snacks.

I also use it for baking or frying spicy papdi, nippattu, murukku etc. This oil is an all-rounder, it packs a big punch, and I am thankful that it exists.

I love spicy food and naturally was looking for a chilli oil for sichuan dishes. Having tried it in a couple of items, i am a fan – its excellent. Quite spicy and fragrant. Whether its noodles or veg or non veg or just a soup, this brings a chinese dish to life.

I don’t know why I was expecting a burst of exotic flavour out of this oil. However, having said that it is a really good alternative to your homemade red chilli achhaar (pickle) oil in case you don’t happen to have a jar of it handy.

Just that it is way more expensive than the latter.
