20 Best Chinese Green Tea (2022 Updated)

Really enjoyed the tea. My only complaint is that the tea bag material is advertised as “muslin” which makes you think they are cloth, but they are clearly plastic netting sachets or at minimum have plastic in them from their texture and appearance.

Boiling plastic tea bags has been proven to be harmful. I bought bagged tea for convenience but ended up having to dump all of them out to avoid drinking plastic. If the description had been more accurate I would have just bought the loose leaf in the first place.

Definitely the best green tea and ginger I’ve tried in a long time. The ginger is just the right level of intensity and the green tea is smooth and doesn’t have any bitterness. Really drinkable!

Love a great jasmine tea and this one is really nice. The quality is there through and through. The product is great the packaging looks very nice and helps keep the product fresh. Would by again!

Try Harney and Son Dragon Pearl Jasmine Tea, its amazing. This is no where close. There is a hint of jasmine flavor. But nothing compared to Harney and Sons and other jasmine teas I have tried. I’m still on my search to find the best Decaf jasmine tea I can find.

This is a great product. I have drank green tea for years but for the past three I’ve drank this. If you feel like you have brain fog and can’t quite get it together, this is for you. I do at times and found this clears my head.

I analyze data and 71 years old. My colleagues often comment on my ability to remember things. I don’t know what I’d do if I can’t get it any longer. retire I guess.

Cheaply manufactured tea bags, the string falls out and the bag also easily rips open and gets all the grains in your tea cup. I also noticed that the tea doesn’t really seem to be decaffeinated as my heart still jumps like crazy as compared to drinking decaf tea in the past that does not do that to me.

Won’t buy them again, this or the ginko tea.

I really like Positively Tea in general, but this tea did not seem much different to me than regular green tea. Most of the company’s other flavored teas (and I have tried all of them) seem to have more of a sweet flavor to them that takes the edge off the green tea bitterness.

I really like tangerines and so I think the idea of this tea is good. Maybe it should have bits of tangerine peel in it, in addition to more tangerine flavor. I am sorry that the company discontinued its strawberry tea.

They recommended this tangerine tea when I expressed my unhappiness about that, but I do not think that it is similar at all. I did like the new blackberry black tea and ordered a large bag of it immediately after trying it, though.

I ran out of my favorite mandarin green tea last year and have been searching for another one ever since. none of the mandarin green teas available compare to the previous one, and then I was excited to find out about this tangerine one!! It is just as good as the mandarin green tea I previously had.

This one is delicious both hot and cold.

The tea has a nice tangerine aroma, but the green tea and tangerine flavor seemed a little light to me. It is still a good tea though and was worth trying it out!

Tasty medium body rolled leaf green tea. Good price too by the pound. A fine tea for regular use. Goes well with oriental food. Also with toast and jam for mid morning or mid afternoon uses. Shipped in a plastic bag within a cardboard box.

You will need your own storage tin or canister to transfer the tea to.

The dry tea has a slight smokey note, a slight fresh cut grass smell, and a faint honey aroma. Once brewed it has slight green apple smell to it, a fresh peach flavor with a notes of dry apricots. The tea can be steeped multiple times depending on the amount of loose leaf.

I steep 1/4 teaspoon per 8 oz at 180 F for 5 minutes, and the second brew for 10 minutes, then after that the leaves lose their color.

I mix it in a blend with Hibiscus tea, so it’s hard to tell about subtle taste issues, but that being said, it made a great sun tea. I drink mine unsweetened, but those who like a sweetened tea will really like it.

My ration is about two parts Gunpowder to one part Hibiscus.

I need to preface my review by stating that I had never met a green tea I could enjoy. Never until I tried Harney and Sons Chinese Flower, Flavored Green Tea. This is such a delightful green tea that I actually CRAVE it.

I will most definitely buy it again and again. The other Green Tea that I really like is the Hot Cinnamon from Harney and Sons. I know that the reason I like these particular teas is that they are very heavily flavored and it masks the “green taste” that I dislike.

Whatever! I found green tea that I can drink every day for my health and it’s a Godsend to folks who don’t really enjoy the “green taste. “.

I love this green tea. It has a great flavor and is beautiful. It’s a mixture of flowers and green tea. Great as an iced tea. I buy this product whenever I come across it. It’s also available in a lot of cafes.

A friend gave me a bag of that tea, and it was a great surprise! Uncommon blend of green tea and three different flowers, perfectly balanced. The flavor is really original and interesting. I tend to use the bag twice since the tea is strong enough.

Enjoy it hot or iced.

Best green tea out there. Thankfully, first brand I tried. If I had tried certain other brands first before Uncle Lee’s, I would have assumed green tea was just not for me. I particularly like the organic.

When brewed properly, it has a nice golden look with a pleasant soothing taste.

This is my go to for Green Tea. Great hot with a favorite sweetener or iced. A good way to boost your antioxidants.

I love this Green tea it helps me when my stomach hurts. I just add a little honey and it’s perfect. I wasn’t really sure about it because I’m sort of a stick to what you know type of person. But I’m glad I stepped out of the box on this one.

I love this tea! Admittedly I hadn’t purchased a quality green tea (or any kind of tea) until I discovered the Happy Earth Tea Company. When first introduced to them, I purchased some other products of theirs and was SHOCKED at how delicious they were, and how the experience of drinking them made me feel.

This is not anything like the typical grocery store tea purchases I was used to! My education about, and opinion of teas really started to change! Given my new-found knowledge of what a good tea was, I knew it was time to try green teas again.

I’m SO glad I did. The descriptions of each were very helpful in the decision process; where to start? Thank you Happy Earth for that! This tea is gentle-flavored and I’ve been loving it first thing in the morning.

I will be keeping Jade Mountain Dragon in my stock and am looking forward to trying others as well.

I love teas of all different kinds. And I usually love Oolong when I get it at restaurants, but I bought this and hated it. It doesn’t have a full-bodied flavor and lacks the nuance of traditional Oolong.

To be honest, it tasted like hot dirt water. I was really disappointed by the quality of this Oolong.

I like tea very much, but I don’t really like this brand. I’ll stick to Lipton and Twinnings. I like those best. Oolong tea is good for you. I heard that oolong helps you loose weight. It was my first time using this brand, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

The taste is just too flowery for me, I suppose. This item initially arrived on time as per the shipment schedule, and I believe that anyone who likes jasmine green tea would be satisfied with this product.

I’m not a big tea drinker but I had heard about the health benefits of green dragon tea so I decided to purchase some not really intending to enjoy it. But I do! Even when I “over steep” it, (which is almost every time) it still is a light tasting tea.

And it’s quite good actually!.

This tea is mild, tasty and has the added benefit of light caffeine. I was first introduced to this particular brand of tea when visiting a fancy restaurant in Rhode Island approximately 8 years ago.

Since then, this is the only green tea I like.

This is not what I expected it to be. Really fancy bags, nice job. I wanted whole Green Leaf Dragon tea. I don’t know what this is but it is not good. It is so ground up I can’t tell what it is.

This tea is amazing! Had a long day and need to relax ? It’s perfect. Stomach problems? Ideal, settles it in minutes. Just fancy green tea but not too keen on the green tea taste on its own ? That’s definitely a good choice.

I start my morning with a cup of this tea and end up having another 2 or 3 at times. The best part is it’s ecologically friendly, I would definitely recommend!.

I love a good green tea and have been drinking it since childhood – way before it was as popular and mainstream as it is now. This one evokes happy memories, I love the flavour, and the design of the tea bags themselves, they’re not the cheapest green tea on the market but are rich in flavour, giving a lot of bang for your buck.

I tend to have these in the hosue and use them inbetween my regular (cheaper!) everyday-type green teas. A from favourite and I love the Tea Pig brand too.

Given to me by a great friend who highly recommends this tea. I’ve tried two bags already, not sold on it, im not a great lover of green tea, however this tea seems to be ok to drink, maybe after a few more cups I could like it.

The flavour is strong, but that could just be the way I have made it. Love the fact the bags are bio degradable and easy to recycle.

My tea was good unlike some others I haven’t seen an excessive amount of twigs or non leaf items. I’m not a tea connoisseur but I think if you enjoy your typical green/black teas you’ll enjoy this one too.

Definitely worth a go, you won’t be disappointed. No expiration date on my package is a little strange. I’m not worried about a tea leaf going bad but it would be nice to know the product wasn’t excessively old either.

Normally I buy tea and I’m so disappointed with the taste. Most teas don’t seem to taste like the flavor described. Then I end up putting too much honey or sugar in to make it taste better. This tea did not disappoint.

I normally don’t like any green tea, but since it’s so good for you, I keep trying different ones. I happened to see this, at my naturalpaths office, and since I’ve never seen any tea, with pear flavor, I gave it a try.

I am a coffee drinker but recently decided to try and find a tea that taste halfway decent for health reasons. This is by far the break away surprise from the 5 different teas I ordered. The tea arrives in a box with individually sealed packages.

The tea bags are packaged in a very strong non-porous bag that seals in freshness. This tea has a great taste and isn’t fruity or fru-fru spice like tea. The best way I can describe this tea is the way a coffee drinker does about black coffee.

This is a great tea that impressed even a daily coffee drinker like me. I highly recommend you try it. Good products get 4 stars from me, this tea earned the 5th.

I am a black tea person, through and through, and I especially love my chai. That was by far the hardest thing to give up during the last two years of pregnancy and breastfeeding. After spending a ton of time and money trying, and making, different blends – and not without a few cheats! – I finally discovered this delightful, NATURALLY decaf blend, which has seriously aided my shift to caffeine-free.

The only thing I’m disappointed about is that it is becoming increasingly difficult to find! 🙁 Please restock it!.

This brewed up cup of jewels and gems is the perfect match to my near perfect North Carolina weather! By far one of my favorite loose leafs of all time. I lived in Japan several years ago. Since returning, I found it impossible to locate authentic Japanese green tea. Finally found the real deal, just as I remember it. Once I opened the pouch, the aroma was fresh and distinct.

The brewed tea resulting has that familiar flavor that cannot be duplicated.

Nov,6,2021: I’d like to think that my taste in tea has matured just a bit from last year when I tried this for the first time. Compared to last year I now have a clear steeper so I can watch the rolled tea unfurl.

Flavor profile hasn’t changed, smokey, grassy, smooth. I can appreciate enjoy it on it’s own like this, but I think I still prefer it in blends. Nov,5,2020: I was excited to see this as a CommuniTea sample.

This is a tea I had heard of but never tried. I’m glad I got to try this tea by itself, learn a bit about it’s flavor, that way I will know a bit more about what to look for in a mix. Because I’m so used to strongly flavored, sweet, or fruity teas, I picked out the smokey notes right away – completely different to what I’m used to.

Though it’s nowhere near the lapsang tea I’ve tried before in terms of ‘smokiness’; It’s noticeable but it’s not like I licked a piece of charcoal. I do also notice the ‘earthy’ ‘grassiness’, but again, I don’t find it to be overwhelming.

Would I drink this on it’s own again? Probably not, I do still prefer flavored teas. But I wouldn’t turn down a cuppa if someone offered.

5 Nov 20 communiTEA review: Really cool scrunched-up bits of tea leaves appeared to be ready for action and spode from my CommuniTEA packet this morning. So I let them out for some fun! 30 seconds extra was added to the first steep time to allow for awakening (unfurling) of the tea leaves.

When hot, mild and pleasant grassy flavors were noted along with a smooth buttery mouthfeel. When warm a peppery zing was noted on the tongue. Moderate grassy flavors continued on all the way to finish.

just the way I like my greens to be! A very mild smokiness was present in just the proper amounts to make this tea an excellent robust and energizing sip indeed! Second and third steep tastes were basically the same, but with a tiny bit of acceptable bitterness added.

(2 mins 30 secs first steep/2 mins subsequent steeps @ 175F, no sugar added).

With the scent of an ancient forest, tiny green/grey pellets came tumbling out of my CT packet today like buds from one of those ancient trees. This curious looking green has a mysterious aura but is smooth with no strong vegetal or grassy notes, just a unique smoky flavor that is fun to add to other teas.

Careful brewing ensures a pleasant sipping experience with no bitterness. Adding green tea honey elevated the flavor of this beautiful golden liquor to delicious. My packet had 4 g/ 2 tsp of tightly rolled tea leaves.

Brewed 12 oz. at 175F (green tea temp. ) for 2:30 min. then enjoyed 2 x 6 oz. resteeps for 3 min. each. I like this tea more and more each time I brew it solo, but for now, I definitely love the smoky tang it gives to fandom blends.

I’ve had a number of jasmine green tea before and brewed them for the recommended time (which is 2-3 minutes for most green teas) and ended up having somewhat bitter tea. This, however, is a super smooth tea with a very soothing smell and taste.

It’s not bitter at all, and it has a strong jasmine flavour that is not overwhelming. It is prone to bitterness if you oversteep it though. I highly recommend this tea!.

Beautiful tasting floral tea. Also looks lovely in the tin with the small white flowers in the tea leaves. I bought the tea with the caddy and a refill pouch. The caddy is elegant and has a good lid with inner lid to keep the tea fresh.
