20 Best Chinese Sausage Brand (2022 Updated)

I don’t think I have ever had this product at a Chinese restaurant. I accidentally came across a number of YouTube videos bragging about this specific manufacturer. I am hooked. So far we have only tried them fried and on the Traeger.

Both methods are great but I am ordering a few more packs and we will go hog wild with stir fry when the garden kicks in.

So excited to find this product at Walmart. Reasonably priced and delicious. Great for fried rice and other Chinese dishes. Very convenient to have these available at Walmart.

Flavor is amazing! Makes the best fried rice ever with its exotic five spice flavor. One or two sausages is all you need for an inexpensive main dish that will be a big hit.

These were fresh and tasted great- l loved that! These have such a great, smoky, beef flavour. Also, love the hint of hatch chilies. I prefer spicy things, but my husband doesn’t. This has enough flavour that I can enjoy and yet, not too much spice to upset my husbands’ taste buds.

They are expensive, and it took a few days to get to me- I didn’t especially like that, since I used to be able to find these easily in store on the east coast. I understand the way of the world, though, now… so I do not blame the store or the local workers.

4 The pack is small, for the price, but it is actually a great size for one or two people. Now the kids are gone, we have one of these as a little snack whilst or directly after we go for an after work hike.

I love beef jerky and sausages regardless! I was at my local grocery store and I passed the beef jerky section in the chip isle. As I was looking at each of the products this one caught my eye due to the design of the packaging and also how the sausages looked.

So, I picked up this bag and I am really impressed with the flavor. I did read the back of it and even went on here to the website to write a review. Plus, read more about the company. It’s my new favorite compared to other beef jerky brands I’ve had throughout the years.

I’ll definitely be on the lookout for this brand when I have a craving.

I love the Dukes brand of smoked sausage, especially the Hot & Spicy. I shared a few with a friend who also fell in love with spectacular Spicy flavor. I always buy the 5 or 12 ounce bags and try to make them last for several days but they are so delicious they disappear quickly.

I went to Duke’s website to see if I could buy a case or two of the Tall Boys. Maybe I could make those last a lot longer. I have a road trip coming up so I will stock up on the 12 ounce bags. Perfect for a road trip.

You are either disgusted by these things or you’re like me and you love them to death. Normally found at gas stations and convenience store counters, Big Mamas are an acquired taste and it’s usually best to avoid reading the list of ingredients on what’s in these things.

I love most things pickled (eggs, peppers, etc. ), and these are an awesome snack to go with your evening beer. You cannot eat them every day for obvious reasons, but they are a satisfying pickled sausage whenever the craving for something vinegary and spicy strikes.

I prefer Big Mamas to Tijuana Mamas (although I love these too) because they’re far more forgiving on my digestive system. I can eat these and not worry about what the next morning is going to be like!.

I used to buy jars of these. They’re spicy but not hot. The size is perfect for a snack. Great little sausage! Love the pickling solution!

These are good but you kind of get tired of eating them if you know what i mean? It doesnt necessarily taste like a sausage, a hot dog or Vienna sausages- it kind of tastes like a pork blend jerky?? I dont know.

Its not too spicy but has a little kick to it. The ONLY thing I dont like is whenever you eat it youll see the pieces of clearish white (probably the fat meat that was grounded up) its not bad- I just dont like the sight of it.

I love jerky and beef sticks, but my teeth just don’t handle them well anymore. Your ad says tender. I would not say it is any more tender than anyone else’s, so am disappointed

I found this sausage stick very greasy. I liked that there were no nitrates added Or artificial ingredients. The taste was ok, nothing notable.

I grew up on this sausage and it is very tasty along with Chinese Bok Choy is how my family use to serve it. My parents would steam it with the rice and it’s cooked by the time the rice was cooked. My family and I are very much still into it.

This is a good sausage product. I ate these growing up in an asian household. They’re kind of a go to food for me, if my mom didn’t cook one day. They remain juicy when you fry them, the outside and nice and crispy.

I expected to like these smoked sausages from the moment I saw them, but I didn’t expect to like them this much. They are absolutely delicious, with the perfect combo of smoky and spicy flavours and the perfect texture.

No chewy bits in the sausage, no hard bits of fat, even the outside of the sausage isn’t too oily or greasy. The spicy flavour compliments the salty and fatty flavours in the meat, it’s not too strong and it’s not too mild either.

The heat doesn’t overwhelm the flavour, and it isn’t so hot that you will regret eating these one after the other. Obviously smoked sausages like this are not the greatest for your health, so do keep in mind that just ONE sausage has about 10% of your daily salt and fat requirements, and it is very hard to eat just one of these! Overall, these sausages are a great snack, they taste amazing, the only issue will be that you will eat more than you maybe should for your own health.

I’ve been buying these when my go to sticks are not available. They’re good but only 4 stars because I don’t think they’re spicey enough. These are hot for people that find ketchup spicey. Not someone looking for heat.

I’ve also had a couple of occasions where I needed to return the bag I bought because the sticks were rancid. I was able to get a replacement bags for them without hassle so not really an issue for me.

Just thought people should be aware it may be possible and to just be careful. If they taste off you’ll know it pretty quick. A little on the pricey side but worth it for a good product in my opinion.

The blue can of the sausages I don’t really care for at all, so I started going with the red can. I have bought these forever and absolutely love them but I bought another case of these and noticed how salty they are and how much more smaller they are than they used to be.

Another thing is two of the cans so far out of the case we’re missing one right in the middle. But the biggest concern is the sodium content of these Vienna sausages sausages. I would really suggest making a low sodium brand of both of these the blue can and the red can.

After this case I’m going to buy one more and if they’re the same way I am done buying Libby’s. I will definitely move on to something different because there’s got to be something better out there with less sodium in it some of these are so hard to even choke down.

I have been on a diet of Dinty Moore Beef Stews for over 30 years. I was told by my physician that my heart is enlarged and any added sodium or more than 800mg a day, and my liver and kidneys will explode killing me instantly.

i LOVED libby’s vienna sausage but now i hate the new taste. at first it was the fact that the sausages had gotten smaller that disappointed but then the taste had become so much saltier and the skin had gotten tougher.

i had to look closely at the can to make sure i hadn’t picked up the Hormel brand. i recently went to north carolina and bought a can from walmart out there. To my surprise they looked and tasted like the libby’s i fell in love with years ago.

i plan bringing a supply of them before i go back to new york. i know your company is going to lose a lot of business if you don’t go back to the original “Libby’s”.

Growing up in a farming community, I have experienced many of the joys of the farm life, including “chopping” cotton, corn and the vegetable garden and also “picking cotton”, “pulling corn” and “digging potatoes”.

These chores required very long days in the field with lunch under a nice, large shade tree, if we were lucky. Vienna Sausage was easy to pack, carry and also easy on the budget. A surprise diagnosis of Alpha Gal Syndrome now prevents me from consuming any mammalian meat products.

Doing so may necessitate a visit to the Emergency Room, if I am lucky, or that final journey, if I am not so lucky. The Armour Chicken Vienna Sausage tastes as good as I remember the Original Vienna Sausage tasting when I was a tired, ravenously hungry child.

I am quite disturbed by the fact that a can of these Vienna Sausages was opened and the gel/liquid substance inside was dark brown in color and the thing smelled so bad. I sealed it up and disposed of it fearing that any garbage bandits might get hold of it and it would make them sick.

I can deal with many things even the occasional missing sausages from the cans, but this is inexcusable.

I saw reviews that we’re exceptional so I gave it a try. The product was exceptional, it was frozen upon arrival, really fresh when thawed out and the flavor was awesome. You can taste the garlic and spices and very tasty.

No words can begin to describe how disgustingly awful this summer sausage is. I have bought different Bridgford products before that were very good so I thought I would give this sausage a try and purchased 2 of them.

What a mistake and waste of money. I could not even eat 3 slices (on crackers) before starting to feel sick. The texture was disgusting, there was big chunks of gristle in it, very BLAND tasting and was so oily/greasy that I had to pat each slice on paper towels before putting the slice between the 2 crackers.

I cannot recommend this product and I will never buy it again!!.

My husband likes to cut a slice of this and a slice of cheese for a snack or sometimes even as a meal. When we have been running errands all day and are too tired to think about cooking, I am grateful that he enjoys this.

Sometimes he’ll have Keebler crackers with it if we don’t have cheese. At $5 for a 1-lb. roll it is a bargain these days. Convenience AND affordability? Can’t go wrong as long as this is a once in a while menu.

(Wouldn’t recommend it as a regular dish because it IS a processed food item. ).

This product used to be better. The company has clearly changed the way it is made. It used to be far meatier and firmer. The new product has noticeable chunks of fat throughout. This is quite disappointing as I would have rated it a 4-5 previously.

The flavor is still the same – very peppery with hints of coriander and a nice tangy smokiness. This is best sliced on snack crackers.

Great flavor and texture, would not recommend if you are on a salt-free diet.

I useurn side pick up, my shopper did not pik up the right item. i ordered Vienna sausage original pack! But i got Vienna sausage potted meat 6 pack. which i am not a ig fan of, however, my husband is so thry willget eaten.

i be!ieve the shopper was in a hurricane y and seen the wrapper but didnt read it, as it clearly say what it contains in he packge.

I took off 3 * because it felt like someone dropped the salt shaker on it. It’s way too salty. Fortunately I did not salt my eggs which would not have been eatable. I like the taste and used it for eggs Benedict as well instead of ham.

I also don’t like how sticky it is and difficult to make patties. Please go back to your lab and use less salt and make it less sticky. People who like very salty can always add the salt. Too much salt is bad for your kidneys in the long run anyway.

would have given this 5 stars bit its waaay too spicy for me. i also ordered the “savory” flavor which i will write a review on. The texture was good, heavy spices, right amt. of fats. For a pork sausage substitute, this was worth it.

My only real criticism is the packaging. you can’t thaw it out and easily cut off a portion. it goes everywhere. Hate the packaging.

Very delicious and the texture is great. I like mixibg this with mexican rice or carribean beans in a wrap. Amazing what they can do. The spicy sausage has a bit too much pepper taste for me. I like the mild.

Based on the positive reviews and after seeing this product for sale in Sams I finally bought a package to try. I thought they were very good with minimal fat drippings so when I finished eating them I purchased another package and this time it was terrible.

Normally since they are precooked, I just wrap one in a paper towel slightly dampened and throw into microwave for 90 seconds. Anyways the second purchase resulted in excessive fat drippings in which the fat was very dense, off colored and gooey.

The double wrapped paper towel was just saturated with fat with a gooey fat deposit accumulated on the paper plate. Even after wiping the kielbasa in a clean paper towel, it was still very fatty. So even though I may have just purchased a bad package I won’t be buying them again.

After cooking 3 of them on different days, I threw the rest away. Back to the national brand for me.

Someone said not a true kielbasa? They aren’t from WI then. These are 5X better because of less fat and few more slices. These are amazing. I just moved from KY to KC and I made sure they had them here also.

Why does all your sausage come in pork casing. I want to purchase your beef sausage but comes in pork casing. I can only eat kosher meat. Please change your casing for beef sausage. It says beef but has pork casing.

You would be able to sale more beef sausage if it came in beef casing or no casing.

Just as chicken is not supposed to look and taste like beef, and beef is not supposed to look and taste like pork, and pork is not supposed to look and taste like chicken–are you getting the picture?–tofurky is not supposed to look and taste like chicken, turkey, beef, pork, lamb, or veal (which is really just young beef).

My family uses these just right but not too spicy sausages in big rolls for 4th of July with trimmings (or any time), cut in coins with spaghetti, so good with eggs, goes with just about any sauteed veggies.

Top chili or Mexican beans with it, zings up the flavor. The ingredients are healthier than many veg meat alternatives, too. Vital wheat gluten and tofu are excellent protein sources Not super “processed”, no engineered ingredients.

So good, and although it isn’t low sodium, it has less sodium than most brands and I appreciate that. Flavor is great, texture too! We eat this all the time now that I have discovered it. Would have goven 5 stars if sodium was lower, just based on taste, texture and versatility.

We purchased both the sweet and spicy variety of sausage. I have to say, this was not your best work. While the quality of the Kurobuta pork is good, I found the grind on both versions was too fine. It didn’t have textural qualities freshly ground sausage has, and the spice level on the spice version was a bit timid.

Love your steaks, love your bacon and burgers. But the sausage left us a little displeased.
